Everything was Amazing. We stayed in marrakesh longer than anticipated and realized only after our first stay at Dar Kandi, that the location was amazing. We found ourselves going back to that area many times because that's where many restaurants we wanted to go to were as well as many of the boutiques.

Cons: The lighting in the rooms was less than adequate. It was very dark and romantic but for someone who wears any makeup it was near impossible to see yourself well and apply makeup decently. I actually borrowed a lamp each evening off the lobby breakfast tables to add light to our room. The room was amazing in its decor and size. We had the one with a balcony over the inner courtyard. We also had our 18 year old with us and she was very comfortable on the additional bed in the room which is usually made up as a sofa/daybed. We used the balcony as overflow because we travel with lots of luggage. The rooftop pool and lounge area is gorgeous day and night!

The Riad was absolutely stunning! It was the perfect location to stay in the busy streets of Marrakech. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. We’d like to say a big thank you to Hassan who was brilliant with helping out with reservations and taxis. Mint tea on arrival is a lovely touch. The room was exceptionally clean and we received maid service twice a day. The pool area is a hidden delight with options of sunbeds or cabanas. From start to finish we had an amazing stay at this hidden paradise.

Cons: We really loved everything! A fridge would be helpful to store drinks but I appreciate it might not fit into the beautiful decor. Some more protein at breakfast would be great. Word of warning to mind your head on the low hanging lights above the bedside table.

breakfast delicious but quite carbohydrate heavy lots of pastries, which changed most days. best french toast ever eggs and fruit salad also we had one evening meal which was the best tagine we had duriing out 5 day trip roof top terrace, small but beautiful and great to relax with lots of umbrellas for shade very calm and quiet so great place to escape from the hectic streets outside beautiful decor wonderful room with a large sitting area and separate bed area, two wash basins and showers

Cons: quite hot not much air as it looks onto the central courtyard I tried the air conditioning, but it made a loud noise, so we didn't have it on pool is small only for dipping, but that is obvious from the photos

Peaceful and beautiful once you enter. Spacious and balcony was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast on the balcony was great.

Cons: Would have been nice to be told that we should book massage or meal before arrival as many hours notice were required. Insufficient light in the rooms and a curtain on the window in the shower should be provided. Very difficult to locate, a message to warn of this should be sent.

O Dar Kandi fez com que a nossa viagem se tornasse excecional. O Riad é lindo. Os quartos são lindos (muito, muito mais bonitos que nas fotos...) Tudo apela aos nossos sentidos: o silêncio, os cheiros, a beleza. Depois do caos no exterior, chegar e ter aquele tipo de tranquilidade, fez toda a diferença. Aliás, passamos imenso tempo no Riad, em banhos de imersão, em chás de menta e sumos naturais. Voltámos para casa totalmente "recalibrados". Voltaremos, seguramente, em breve. MARAVILHOSO. Obrigada à nossa hostess, sempre disponível e muito simpática.

We had a wonderful stay. The Riad is an oasis. Spotlessly clean, beautiful rooms, rooftop terrace and courtyard. The staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the tasty breakfasts, dinner and lots of mint tea and even a session in the Hammam which was beautiful. We paid more than what we usually would for a hotel but the experience was worth it. And the central location was perfect to pop in and out of the Medina multiple times a day. We loved Marrakech and especially Dar Kandi. Thank you Aoutif, Assan, Zizu and staff for making our stay comfortable and memorable. We hope to return again.

Beautiful Riad with exceptional taste and ambiance. The decor, common areas and rooms resembled a page out of Architectural Digest. The room and bed were very comfortable. The staff were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was good and service was excellent. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cons: The heating fan was a bit loud and would kick on and off through the night. I turned it off on our second night and found our room was very comfortable even without it.

Le Riad est très charmant, notre suite très propre et confortable, même en décembre! Le Riad jouit d’une localisation idéale. Près de tt. Ansem est présent même la nuit pour accueillir les invités ou les amener à leur taxi. Service digne d’un 5 étoiles mais plus personnalisé ! L’atmosphère aux lanternes et chauffe-terrasse est très chaleureuse! Petit déjeuner copieux et savoureux. Le service de Zizou attentionné digne de mention ! Ma fille et moi, recommandons chaleureusement cet endroit! Il ns manque déjà !

Das Riad Dar Kandi erfüllt einfach alle Wünsche und ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für eine Erkundung von Marrakesh. Lage ideal und sehr ruhig trotz der sehr zentralen Lage. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und äusserst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Chefin und ihre Angestellten sind perfekte Gastgeber und erfüllen alle Wünsche und beantworten alle Fragen. Das Frühstück ist köstlich und auch das bestellte Abendessen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Beim nächsten Marrakesh Besuch werden wir sicher wieder ins Dar Kandi kommen.

Le Riad est très joli. Notre chambre spacieuse et confortable. Les produits mis à disposition sont supers. Le petit dej varié et délicieux. L’emplacement est parfait. Le personnel est gentil dans l’ensemble. Petit plus pour la personne qui fait la nuit qui est adorable et très serviable.

Cons: Le petit bémol est que le Riad est bruyant. Difficile de se reposer l’après-midi peut être du à l’emplacement de notre chambre. On entend les gens qui sonnent le personnel qui parle, les petit travaux du Riad dès le matin. Les toilettes sont très basses donc quand on grand c’est compliqué.

Estancia de 10, habitacion cómoda y súper tranquila solo escucharás pajaritos al despertarte, la ducha increíble, temperatura perfecta. La ubicación buenísima en plena Medina y de las más bonitas, siempre con mucho ambiente. La azotea de las mejores, buen solarium con cómodas hamacas y con una decoración muy bonita y sin olvidar la piscina. L’accueil, la sérénité de notre hôte et la gentillesse de toute l’équipe. Dar Kandi est un très bel établissement très bien décoré. C’est de très bon goût et zen. Nous avons pu profiter du hammam marocain et d’un massage très agréables. Tout est raffiné du cadre au petit déjeuner. Deux nuits ce fut trop court pour profiter de la terrasse et sa piscine. Je conseille d’y aller ! Et je vais leur faire une belle publicité autour de moi. Si je reviens à Marrakech c’est ici que je reviendrai assurément. Oubliez les palaces internationaux sans âme et allez au Dar Kandi.

The riad looks absolutely beautiful. As you walk in you suddenly find yourself in a complete different world from what you see in the street. Me and my family loved our room. It was designed in art-deco style mixed with maroccan stucco and interior elements. The courtyard was breathtaking. My daughter particularly liked the rooftop pool which came very useful on extremely hot days. Breakfast was rich and tasty. All staff was excellent. Manager was extremely kind and helpful in everything we needed. I totally recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely exceptional. It was like you were transported to heaven. The raid is immaculate, clean, zen, oasis. Modern. One of the best places I've ever stayed in the rooftop pool is gorgeous. The rooms are decorated to an inch of their lives. The washrooms are impeccable and the service is incredible. Aouatif is a fixer in the incredible sense. Every single person who worked for her was competent, kind and on time. From Yousef, lovely Yousef, who took my family to the Atlas Mountains to Sayeed who guided us through mosques. We got into a bind all the way in Essaouira with a terrible car rental company and she actually came to the rescue and helped us, organized to get us a car. Incredible stay. Gorgeous place and such amazing service. Thank you!

Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't even begin to think of one thing that was wrong or went wrong. The pictures don't do the Riad justice. This was the highlight of my trip, after a horrible stay in the Agafay desert. The Riad always smelt so good, so good in fact I brought some of the scents to take home with me. The decorations are beautiful and you can tell there is a lot of attention to detail. I feel like I booked the best Riad in Marrakech. AC was the absolute best. I'll miss eating breakfast in the courtyard, it was so pretty and breakfast was always served with a smile. The chef was always putting out delicious food. I see why the rating is so high, and it's well deserved. I can't wait to come back, this will be the only stay I ever book when in Marrakesh. You can tell this Riad is well maintained and taken care of. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality.

- The riad was very beautiful. Tastefully designed and just a little island of tranquility in the area. - The breakfast was nice. Basic and carb heavy but still nice. - The staff were very friendly, proffesional, and helpful. Made some great restaurant recommendations. Always on hand to help - The room was nice and spacious. A little bit darker than expecting but also cosy - Location was decent. Not too central inside the old town and not to far from a main road (for taxis) - Good wifi - Good aircon

From the moment we walked into Dar Kandi, we were enveloped in peace and calm—it truly felt like an oasis. The entire riad was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had the most incredible scent throughout. I loved it so much I even bought the fragrance to take home! Zahir, Yoseff, Hassan, and Aouatif were absolutely wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay seamless—helping with our luggage, preparing refreshing detox drinks, and serving delicious breakfasts that were perfect for vegetarians. They also assisted with translating and coordinating for our tours and activities, which was incredibly helpful. When we had a last-minute flight change requiring us to leave at 4:30am, they handled everything with ease and even arranged our taxi without hesitation. The riad itself is stunning, with a relaxing pool that was perfect for cooling off on hot days. Our room was exactly as pictured—beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. We had such a lovely stay and would wholeheartedly recommend Dar Kandi to anyone visiting Marrakech!

It would be a sin to complain about anything. Everything worked very well and the riad was great. Modernly restored, but still with the feel of a 1001 fairy tale. The location in the heart of the Medina was perfect. The staff were super attentive and the rooms and other facilities were beautiful. It was so quiet inside the Riad.

Cons: The roof top swimming pool did not have a filter and there was green algae growing on the tiles. The tiles were black which made it difficult to see the dirt until you entered the pool and disturbed the algae.

This riad is absolutely fantastic, with every detail of its décor thoughtfully designed to immerse guests in Moroccan culture. Located within walking distance to most things in Marrakech, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and were incredibly attentive, detail-oriented, and caring. The breakfast was unbelievably good every morning! so lovely all the little touches, with our robes being freshed every time we came back from the busy markets. We even booked the Hammam in the property which was a lovely and unique experience. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming, highly recommend.

Dar Kandi is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in 2 different Riads in Marrakech, and the second just proved to us how special Dar Kandi is. We had the room with a balcony, so it felt extra special & VIP, for a great price. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the staff is always there to help you with anything you need or want. The Riad itself is beautiful, cozy, and very safe/secure. We've never been to Morocco, and weren't sure what the safety would be like, and as we walked to the Riad we were extra unsure. But once we were there for a day, we knew we were very safe at the Riad and in the area. I was in communication with Aouatif via Whatsapp after booking on booking.com. She made sure we were well taken care of, and even helped me plan my GF's 40th birthday & made it extra special for us! So special that it drove me to write a review everywhere I can. Aouatif also helped to make sure my breakfasts were Gluten Free. Once they knew I had an allergy, I never had to say it again - not even to staff we hadn't met yet. They all knew. We were very well taken care of. Besides being in a fantastic location, in between many of the Souks and within a 20min walk of the gardens, as well as the square, the Riad is very quiet throughout the night and the day. It's truly a hidden Oasis in the middle of a very fun city. Dar Kandi also has fantastic massage and hammam on site. Aouatif is great at offering all the options & she has all the connections for the excursions, transportation, etc. We used her for all our transportation needs, because we had already booked our excursions prior to arriving. If you're looking at Dar Kandi as your Riad in Marrakech, there's no comparison - We HIGHLY recommend this one!

I love this place, and there's not many places I go on my travels where I come away thinking I can't wait to come back. Fantastic ethos in general. The staff were excellent - in particular Mohammad and Zahir. So attentive and caring without being overbearing. Always there for you & so genuine, going above and beyond for your comfort and happiness. Super location, very central and just off the main street, with everything so walkable but yet it is this amazing, quiet oasis. Almost like a spa. The first thing you notice when you come in off the bustling streets of a chaotic Marrakech, is that it's so tranquil and peaceful. Good for the soul. There is a tasty breakfast each morning and a feeling of being at home, happy to wake up each morning. The ambiance in the hotel is second to none - the staff are all amiable and kind. The riad is stunning and the attention to detail is second to none. We particularly loved the interior design, freindly staff and relaxed vibe. We loved our stay and wholeheartedly recommend it to other travelers. This is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the hectic chaos of Marrakesh.

Extremely beautiful riad. Almost like museum nestled within a garden. Was only there for a night so did not get to use all the facilities but its a really quiet spot in the medina. Perfect for those looking to experience the old markets. I was really sick in the morning and the staff were kind enough to brew tea to help me quickly.

Cons: The place is really nice but unfortunately our room was right on the ground floor facing the main room where guests check in and out. However, the rooms are shield well so no problems regarding privacy or anthing like that.

Beautiful riad in a great location. It was amazingly decorated and kept so clean. It smelt like flowers constantly. Our room was stunning and it felt like home the minute we arrived. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious too. We had a few bottles of the wine and enjoyed them in the lobby. The rooftop is also beautiful and a great place to relax. Only a short walk from most of the main sites and nicely located on a smaller side street. Lots of shops and restaurants and atms within 5-10 minutes walk. Thank you to everyone at Dar Kandi, we will see you again one day I hope!

We stayed at this exceptional Riad for three nights in July, it is by far the best place we have ever stayed in Marrakech. Our ground floor suite was luxurious and uniquely decorated with traditional Moroccan charm. The staff were all exceptional, incredibly helpful, and eager to please, especially the manager Aouatif who always went above and beyond. Breakfast every morning was divine in the beautiful courtyard open to the sky, it was so serene and tranquil. We also loved the panoramic views of the medina on the rooftop terrace, the comfortable loungers and the pool was the best thing in the blazing heat. Overall, Dar Kandi is a perfect blend of opulence, tradition, and modern comfort, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling medina.

Cons: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dar Kandi and have already decided to return for our next visit to Marrakech. This was our first time visiting in July, and we were unprepared for the intense heat, which reached up to 44°C on some days. While a small fridge in the room for water would have been appreciated on the hotter days, its absence was not a major issue. During our stay, we stayed in a ground floor suite that opened to the courtyard. Next time, we plan to choose a balcony suite to enjoy a more private outdoor space.

It is a very comfortable, pleasant place to stay. The room was perfectly clean, all the staff was very nice and flexible (our flight was late and they were completely available, asked all our questions and responded to every message right away). Wir haben das Riad aufgrund einer Empfehlung gebucht und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die Managerin ist sehr angenehm und führt das Riad exzellent. Der Umgang mit dem Personal war stets sehr freundlich, soweit wir das mitbekommen haben. Auch das Personal untereinander war zu Scherzen aufgelegt, was einem ein gutes Gefühl vermittelt. Alle waren immer präsent, ohne in irgendeiner Form aufdringlich zu sein. Wirklich toll! Das Frühstück war ausreichend und vielseitig. Auch auf Unverträglichkeiten wird bestmöglich eingegangen. Die Lage ist super, um fussläufig die gesamte Medina zu erkunden und dennoch sehr nahe an einem der gängigen Abholpunkte für Ausflüge oder dem Flughafentransfer gelegen (2 Minuten zu Fuß). Die Zimmer sind individuell und stylisch und werden täglich mehrfach gereinigt / aufgeräumt. Allgemein wird auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Rooftop mit Pool: klein, aber fein! Würden wir nicht missen wollen, denn nach einem Tag in der Medina war die Möglichkeit zum Erfrischen und Entspannen gegeben. Das haben viele Riads nicht im Angebot. Wir bedanken uns für einen rundum gelungenen Urlaub 🐪☀️ Keeps it up!

We stayed in the suite with the balcony and I highly recommend it, nothing like having your breakfast or coffee/tea served on your private terrace. The property is so beautiful and well-kept, just stunning. Clean, modern rooms with all the comforts while still retaining traditional touches. Kind helpful staff. We arrived early and when we returned later that day to check in, our luggage was already moved in to our room. Many touches like that that just make staying here a dream. From visits to other riads in the city, we concluded this one is really top value. Location perfect- close to the souks but still quiet and so peaceful. Wish I could stay a month - will be my go to recommendation for a stay in Marrakech.

It’s a very upscale Riad with glamorous and luxurious design, the central patio is really beautiful as well as the rooftop terrace, the pool is super enjoyable Our room was big, very comfortable and equipped with lots of nice things It is located in the best area of the Medina and easy to find.

Cons: The spa services unfortunately aren’t at the same level of the Riad. The massage we had was very short and very flat, the massage beds are very short and my husband couldn’t even fit. Just a 15 min walk away from the central square and most sites, its location is perfect. Taxis are available just around the corner for greater distances. The facilities are great, the room is spacious and very clean. There are comfy sunbeds on the roof you can use and a shallow pool you can go into to cool off from a hot day. Breakfast was great! Our hostess was very helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. She helped us with our dinner reservations and made great suggestions for our outings. Thank you for everything !

Our experience at Dar Kandi was really exceptional. From the airport pickup to check-out, all of the staff were incredibly warm, accommodating and helpful; we really felt right at home. Aouatif, the riad manager, was very helpful throughout the entire stay and was able to meet any need we had and then some. The central courtyard was beautiful and relaxing and the room we stayed in was very well designed and appointed. We ate several times at the restaurant and the meals were delicious; we also had a hammam and massage which was a wonderful experience.

I stayed with a group of 4 for a week at Dar Kandi and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Breakfast was amazing! The rooms were immaculate and very clean! The location was great, the roads outside the Riad can be a bit lively during the day but the area in which the Riad is nestled is so quiet, it’s almost like you enter in a different world. You are also very close to shopping, food, and getting around was a breeze. There are taxis available nearby and you can even walk as there are sidewalks on the main roads. I travelled with a group of females and we all felt very safe. The Riad is absolutely beautiful 100/10 recommended!

From the moment we arrived to the warm friendly smile and gentle humour of Mohamed, the amazing scent of Fleur d'orange and the tasteful decor we knew we had picked the correct Riad. The design of the Riad is beautiful but has that amazing skill of balancing comfort with style so you feel that you are home and safe. We stayed in room 6 which was spacious, stunningly stylish and superbly appointed. The whole Riad is immaculately clean and a credit to the cleaning staff. The roof terrace is small and relaxing and was perfect for our first lunch. Breakfast each of our three mornings was Moroccan, freshly made, very tasty and plentiful. We had dinner and wine on our last evening and it was lovely abeit a bit quiet. Food and drinks service was excellent, extremely professional, warm and friendly without being intrusive, the staff were extremly helpful. The weather changed and one of our days there was tropical, torrential and relentless rain so we were lucky we had the relaxing option of staying in Dar Kandi for most of the day reading and using the Hammam and massage. Dar Kandi is well located just off Derb Arset Aouzal and Route Sidi Abelaziz a working neighbourhood. Taxis continously pull up at the junction beside Riad Dar Moha. The area was hectic but felt much safer compared to Jemma el fna and main medina area with less intrusive requests to buy from stalls. We can recommend Cafe Pikala (very close by for a great healthy option with friendly staff for lunch) and Regue Jamma (lovely tagines, couscous and friendly staff). Mohamed recommended La Maison Arabe on our first night and while more expensive than other options it was a wonderful experience and delightful atmosphere. One of the guys (sorry i can't remember names) was extremely kind and walked us to La Maison in case we got lost and was much appreciated. Highly ecommend Dar Kandi, we just wish our stay was longer.

Cons: Everything was great but a few small changes to the menu to include wines by the glass and cocktails. Breakfast from 8am for early checkout would be great although were able to get fruit, yogurt, orange juice, tea and pastries at 8:15. We had checked in our return journey online when we checked in outgoing journey, unfortunately i didn't view our boarding pass and i would have realised our mistake. The female manager recommended the Riad's taxi service to pick us up so we would arrive 2h before our flight; we did say that immigration was very slow but she insisted 2h was good. We did arrive 2h before, however, in Marrakesh airport I would give longer, closer to 3h as checking in, immigration, passport control and security are burocratically very slow. A prompt by her to ask if we had printed our boarding pass in advance would have been helpful. Online boarding pass on phone is not acceptable in Morocco (any airline) as paper copy needs to be stamped. I think Morocco and Istanbul are the only countries (that Ryanair fly to) that require this protocol. We were lucky the check in staff wrote out paper boarding passes for us but this added to waiting time. This affects all travellers, even those with only hand luggage have to queue to get boarding pass stamped. The Ryanair website when checking return flight should warn more clearly of this anomaly but I think the Manager should also be aware and alert guests to this and also advise to give more time.

We’ve stayed here in December 2023, right before Christmas. This place is amazing! I don’t even know where to start! The staff are friendly, helpful and really care about you having a great time. Anything you need, they’re there to make it happen! The food is fresh and super tasty! There’s so many options and each day you have something different! We are vegetarian and that was never a problem! We also had dinner in the Riad on the first night and it was so delicious! I highly recommend it! We also did the couples hammam with massage and that was so relaxing! I really enjoyed it! The room was really stylish and clean. When I say clean it’s an understatement! We’ve never stayed in a place where your room is cleaned 2-3 times a day! At times we’d come back, shower, change and go out again and when we’d come back the room was cleaned again! The location is great: it’s local to everything! We loved our stay here and will come back for sure!

Mixed feelings really. Room was lovely and service was good however a couple of things left us probably not going to return. Frist our invoice wasnt given to us and instead, upon asking, it was showed to us on a spreadsheet. Which was hiding the very high cost of the few drinks and servuces we purchased. Second, drinking water isnt free despite being a luxury property. Much cheaper accomodations provide this complimentary. If you want any more then the two 33cl bottles provided in your room, you will have to pay (~£3!). Overall we were overpaying for things that were very cheaply found a few meters from the property.

Cons: The food was not good. No refrigerator, which seems crazy. I needed to check out at 12pm to meet my car, which I told the manager, and she was late. Most egregiously, I had asked the manager to call me a taxi earlier that morning when I was stranded (because of scamming). It was a 30 minute trip, and she tried to charge me $90 on my bill as I was trying to leave quickly (because again she was late). Such a scam. In contrast, since in Morocco, I've taken a 4-hour trip for $150 and a one hour trip for $45. This ruined the last day for me. I don't like people exploiting a situation. Very disappointing.

They have a phone for guests for contacting the staff if needed (if lost... or would like to schedule meal, etc). They also called to check in while we were out.

It was stunningly and beautifully decorated, with a serene and relaxing ambiance. Each room with a different theme, luxurious, and romantic. The staff is a true example of exceptional hospitality! Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager Aouatif, who treated us like long lost family, warm, sweet, thoughtful and always one step ahead, making sure all of our needs were met throughout our entire stay. She even checked on us after we left, to make sure we had arrived at our next destination safely. The staff was extremely hospitable and fabulous! Their attention to detail and the service provided was nothing short of excellent. The meals were delicious and we were privileged to be invited to join the staff in their Eid celebration, which was quite a treat for us. Our experience at Dar Kandi is one we will never forget. We had a fantastic stay at Dar Kandi for 4 nights! We arrived in the afternoon and the airport transfer that was arranged by the riad was on time and friendly. We were welcomed by Aouatif with mint tea and pastries. The riad is in a very quiet and nice location right outside the busy Medina. The room was large and spotless. We slept great and had cleaning service daily. We enjoyed relaxing at the rooftop pool with wine and snacks. The hospitality provided by the team including Aouatif, Zizu, Mohammed, and Youssef was exceptional. Zizu helped us get taxi cabs at good price and provided great dinner service. The food was amazing, must try the Moroccan salad and lamb tagine. We had a problem with our car rental after checking out and Aouatif helped us arrange a private transfer to Ouarzazate within an hour. We are so thankful to have stayed with Dar Kandi!

Beautiful riad, good value, great communication pre-stay and during the stay from the staff. It was in an ideal location, close to taxi's if you wanted to go anywhere / airport etc, close to the main square for shopping, close to walk to great restaurants - El Fenn, Le Jardin, Nomad, Terraces de Epices, Dar Moha, Dar Yacout - were all 3-10 mins walk. It was so central and right in the action but so tranquil and quiet at the same time. The room was spacious and the air con was very welcome. It was also only a very short walk from the road so not far to take suitcases etc once you arrived. We were given a Moroccan phone the minute we arrived so we could call the staff 24/7 if we needed anything - in or outside of the hotel. As there are only 6 rooms there was always pool beds / areas to relax free, nowhere in the hotel was overcrowded. The rooftop pool has great views and despite it not being heated we were able to swim. We didn't eat at the hotel apart from breakfast - but that was wonderful. I've been to Marrakech four times now and I would never stay anywhere else.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The room was beautiful, the bed was the most comfortable we stayed in, and the place felt like a palace. The staff was very professional and also very personable, making it a very fun place to stay. We told the staff that it was a special night for us and to put some extra snacks and things in our room (and that we would pay extra for it), and they delivered with flying colors with a great assortment of various things. They even went further and got us a gift for staying there on a special night. The breakfast was fantastic, and overall the experience couldn't have been better. Would recommend this place to everyone.

This is a fantastic riad in the medina, just a couple of minutes walk from the bustle of all the handicraft souks. We stayed in the Colonial Suite and you could not fault it - spacious, clean and fabulously decorated. Aouatif, the Front Office Manager, was extremely helpful and organised a car for us for our onward journey around Morocco. She also gave us great suggestions for dinner as well as how to walk to different places. This was (one of) my favourite stays on our 2 week trip and would gladly stay again.

This Riad is true luxury. From the moment we walked in and were served Morroccan tea we knew this place was special. Aouatif and her team were fantasic and really looked after us. The breakfasts were devine, as was the dinner we had on our first night. We also had a massage and hammam experience - all excellent. The Riad is located near to Medina square so is very convienient. Aouatif gave us a mobile phone to take with us when out and about so we could be in contact if we needed to. This was really reassuring.

I have Mix feeling about Dar Kandi. Most of the things were amazing! The Design and atmosphere of this place is just top notch, they really thought about everything and you can see it in the details and quality of every expect from uniform branding to room design. We stayed at Room No6. and we absolutely loved it! Breakfast was superb especially if you choose to take it on the rooftop with beautiful view! The hotel team members were super helpful and professional and helped us with everything we needed.

Cons: On the other hand, This property is not cheap especially for Morocco and I would expect nothing less than amazing. Our room had a double shower and an amazing bath which we couldn't really use because there is a BIG issue with hot water and the water pressure was also not great. To elaborate on that: Before booking this property I was reading some reviews complaining about the hot water issue and I asked them specifically if there is a problem with the hot water and this might be a deal breaker for me when I could still cancel my booking. The answer was there is no problem at all with the hot water and that everything is working as it should! The problem with the hot water didn't happen once, It happened more than 3 times on different days and time of the day and I was very disappointed with the answers I was given. Once I've been told a lot of people are using the Hamam and I'll need to wait until they will finish to get a shower and one day after a long day of traveling we couldn't take a shower for few hours until they "fixed" it and then it was just warm. For me the shower facility is maybe the most important and the fact I couldn't take a nice bath and hot showers whenever I want it was a big disappointed. I would also expect the owner/manager to address this issue more seriously and not just being sorry. I would give this hotel a perfect score if not this problem

However the overall experience of Dar Kandi was first class, the breakfast, the helpfulness and friendliness of the whole team. There was nothing that they wouldn't do and they were so smiley. I'd recommend 100% and would definitely go back if we revisited Marrakech.

clean, comfortable and staff was very hospitable. Mohammad took very good care of my friend and I. he escorted us at night and early on the morning to get our taxis.

Great location in the heart of the Medina. Beautiful interior decor whilst offering the comfort of a high end boutique hotel for example the bed is amazingly comfortable. There are only 6 rooms and so it’s very private and peaceful. We didn’t have any issues with noise as we were on the second floor. Also to highlight is an amazing breakfast combining local and European options. Extremely clean and detail orientated The service is great and our stay felt very secure. You are even given a Morrocan phone to call the hotel manager in case of any issues which thankfully we didn’t use but was a nice touch!

Cons: Overall I would fully recommend! Three small comments 1.) Value vs price. It’s a little more expensive than other Riyads which seem to offer a similar calibre. Also if you book a taxi or a wellness treatment it’s double the price of what is offered in the market which seems excessive as the value offered is certainly not double it’s maybe 20% more. 2.) The wifi only worked properly the first two days then it was quite unreliable. The staff were helpful when trying to connect but they should look into fixing/upgrading the wifi 3.) We felt pressured/slightly uncomfortable if we didn’t book activities or taxis via the riyad. There is a bit too much selling to the guests which doesn’t come across as genuine. TBC if this is specific to the riyad or Moroccan culture as outside the riyad one also feels pressured to buy and a lack of authenticity when it comes to discussing options.

I have no words to describe how beautiful is the Riad, the most magical and wonderful experience! we loved every single detail! the attention to the guests is AMAZING and the food is delicious. The next time we come to Marrakesh we will definitely stay here again. I want to thank everyone for the welcoming service and especially to Aouatif who was extremely kind, helpful and nice to us. looking forward to seeing you soon!

The roof top pool is lovely. The breakfast is varied and nice.

Cons: We didn't like the fact that we hardly got inside the hotel before they started "selling" us things like tours, private guides, chauffeurs, hammam, massages, dinners etc. We did not have that experience in any other Riad we stayed at during our trip. The service could have been better and more genuine. Our expectations were higher.

The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The riad is beautiful, relaxing and has a lovely feel to it and we loved the different character of each room, each unique to its own. The food was tasty and delicious. An absolute pleasure to have stayed at Dar Kandi, our home in Marrakesh.

Aesthetically the property is beautiful. The breakfast was great. We loved our suite, the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with the staff, they are all super friendly & well knowledgable. We loved cooling off at the rooftop pool after a long day!

Cons: We wish they had a menu with more snacks & drinks.

We had a beautiful time staying at Dar Kandi! The rooms are very nice, the common spaces are well kept, and the roof is gorgeous. We stayed at several properties during our time in Marrakech and were really impressed with Dar kandi. The staff was very accommodating with helping to make dinner reservations, shopping tips, and everything else. The only thing that would be nice is a coffee maker in the room for additional caffeine throughout the day, otherwise we had a wonderful stay! Location was also perfect - close to souks, secret garden, bacha coffee, walking to ysl and Gueliz too!

Excellent accueil personnalisé , tout est dans le détail de la décoration au service (un grand merci à Aoutif), une table exceptionnelle avec un chef amoureux et fier de son métier. L’endroit est une bulle de sérénité et de calme en plein centre de Marrakech. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Le seul bémol est le double expresso à 90 MAD au petit déjeuner en supplément de prix tout compris.

The staff and service were excellent. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, smartly designed and nicely appointed. The food was very, very good and the rooftop was beautiful. A special oasis on the edge of the Medina which was easily accessed by a short walk to/from the car.

The property is beautiful and quiet, in a good location. We found staff could be a bit more helpful, they did their job but when compared to the other riad we were at before, they didn’t put much effort into helping us sort things out.

I’d like to echo what many of the comments already allude to by saying this will be much more than just a place to stay but a full experience altogether. This experience starts when you arrive and are welcomed in by the Dar manager and head of staff. They explain to you the mechanics of the Dar and how customised your stay can be. All this whilst a traditional Moroccan tea is served. With just 6 suites the Dar is very intimate and quiet, there was never a sense of rush. Terrific food being served and the rooftop with the plunge pool is the perfect spot to end a full day of exploration. Nothing negative to mention. All and all a great experience and I’d definitely recommend this hotel.
