Eman, Mustafa at reception were very friendly and accommodating, but other reception staff were not pleasing to deal with. One gave an inflated hospital drop off price to what I had previously agreed with a different receptionist. The cleaning staff did a good job each day and were kind. The breaksfast usually starts at 8am, but due to certtain circumstances, Mustafa really went out of his way to accommodate us earlier.

Cons: The non-standardised prices felt like a scam. DUring the stay, it rained and we stayed at the Topaz presidential sweet which kept leaking in about 4 or 5 spots. Heaviest rain was on our last night which caused it to leak above the bed, so our sleep was completely disastrous.

The location of the Riyad is excellent—just a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa—offering beautiful surroundings and a picturesque setting. However, several issues arose during the stay that impacted overall satisfaction. Every morning around 4 a.m. and again at about 11 p.m., a strong smell of smoke filled the room, likely from wood being burned for hot water or heating. This was an unpleasant way to start and end the day, especially when trying to rest. The breakfast was extremely repetitive—consisting only of bread, honey, and jam every morning. Cheese and fruit were noticeably missing, except for one day when a banana was provided. For the price paid, the breakfast was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected for Moroccan riads, which typically serve fresh fruit, cheese, pastries, eggs, and other options. Even after requesting a more varied breakfast, such as an omelette, no changes were made, which was particularly disappointing. Imagine if you were diabetic—there were no options. leanliness and maintenance were also concerns, as the spaces nrequireddeeper cleaning and some restoration. For the cost of the stay, better upkeep and amenities (such as slippers) should be expected. The soap in the room was walso altered. dditionally, the initial transfer from the airport was poorly oorganised despite arranging pfor ickup, it took over an hour and a half sto findthe driver, resulting in taking another taxi. This was both confusing and frustrating, especially at the start of the trip. IInsummary, while the Riyad offers a fantastic location and a beautiful setting, the service and amenities fell short in critical areas. Breakfast needs improvement, maintenance, and cleanliness should be prioritised, and better organisation for airport transfers is needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, especially given the costCleanliness

I loved the authentic riad experience and warm hospitality. The location is within walking distance of the Djemaa El Fna and souk. The street is bustling with energy during the day, but still quiet enough in the early morning and evening to enjoy a peaceful stay. Breakfast is basic, but plentiful and variable enough. Facilities are sufficiently available to make your stay pleasant and complete. The rooms are spacious and clean. The whole of the riad is kept very well. A true and unexpected gem. I would absolutely recommend Riad Omara El Kasbah to travelers who are looking for a more authentic experience in Marrakech.

Beautiful riad, comfortable rooms and beds, great location, nice and clean!

Cons: Communication with hosts in English is complicated. Glass top of desk was broken disposing sharp edges, there was a crack in the door of which you can see through, few holes in floor which are sharp on bare feet.

The room ( presidential suite) was great- large and comfortable. The building itself is an oasis of calm and Moroccan charm. The staff were all friendly, helpful and approachable. The breakfast is simple but sufficient to start the day. The pool is tiny, but nice to cool off in after a day’s sightseeing. The hammam and massage were really good!

Cons: There is a large jacuzzi in the bathroom of the presidential suite, but it doesn’t seem to have worked for some time. The cushions around the pool need replacing or cleaning.

Recomendable 100%

Breakfast was good and tasty. Nothing out of this world. We got the presidential room and the pictures don't do it justice. The location was good. About a 15 minute walk from the main markets and around the Riad there was a good few restaurants and small shops as well. I even got my haircut literally opposite for ÂŁ8. We had an amazing stay at Riad Omara al Kasbah! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Our host Moustapha was absolutely the best - incredibly kind, attentive, and always going out of his way to help us with anything we needed. :) We also had the pleasure of trying the traditional hammam and massage experience, and it was great. Bouchra did an incredible job - one of the best massages we’ve ever had. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. Breakfast was good and traditional each morning. The whole Riad felt like a warm, traditional Moroccan family home - a truly authentic experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. We will definitely be back!

Great location. The Kasbah is a good choice of area to stay. Not quite as mad busy as around Djemma El Fna and a bit more local. Mustapha couldn't be nicer and will go out of his way to help. The room was very comfortable, the roof terrace was a lovely quiet spot for relaxing away from the bustle outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but very nice.

Cons: We booked dinner the first night and, although the staff served one, it seemed that they are not used to it. There are so many eateries nearby that it is better to go out. The surrounding area is full of life and bustle, be careful on the streets as the scooter-riders weave around you.

The good side of the riad was its location its central located with a 10-15 min walk to the souks, the inside looks nice and the beds were comfortable

Cons: On our last day we saw that our beds were not properly washed and my friends bed had a yellow stain on it. The breakfast was very poor in quality if you look at the price you pay for. The only part of the moroccan breakfast was the msemen. During our stay it was cold in the morning so having our breakfast in the open was not comfortable. During our payment at the end of our visit we did have an airport drop off which was supposed to be 20 euro as it was written on booking but later on I found that they charged me extra on it with 28 euros the price is not high but it wasnt what was told to us.

Cons: They did not respect my special request which was to have a prayer mat. They removed the prayer mat I was using during my stay. The room let air in and you could hear everyone speak in the morning and very late at night. The breakfast was not fresh, they served the msemen from the day before and the juice was not even fresh. For the price I paid you could at least have provided fresh orange in a country that produces oranges... Also on my last day I found a cockroach in the bathroom. The water pressure was very weak. The hot water was barely working. The receptionist also kept wanting to sell their car transfer service which was a yellow cab and cost 5 times a normal yellow taxi cab. The door to my room could only be locked using a padlock. The door to the hotel could be unlocked by everyone who had a key at the hotel. There is no 24h reception service or security. The landline phones in the room are not even connected to wires, they are just for show. Horrible place. Go to a real hotel with real services. If this was 200€ for 5 nights I would go for it. Otherwise do not bother. In addition their customer service is rude and disrespectful. They have no self awareness whatsoever. The other negative reviews on booking and other platforms are 100% correct.

Amazing experience at Riad Omara al Kasbah! I stayed for a week with a family member and everything was practically perfect. The Riad was very clean, very quiet and very pleasant. We chose it because it was a very typical place in Morocco. When we arrived, the guy who greeted us at the reception was very polite and friendly with us. He greeted us, prepared dinner for us, had the detail of showing us around the Riad and took our suitcases to the room. The room was the one we had chosen with the two single beds, everything was very clean. Later that same night we asked at reception at around 11pm (11pm) if they could get us a guide for the next day in Spanish and they tried for about 15 minutes until they got it. The rest of the Riad workers also attended us very well as they quickly and pleasantly resolved any question or situation we had. They resolved anything for us. They were so nice and the service was so good that I really felt like it was my home. They were always very attentive to us. It was like they were members of our family or friends in our entire lives: very close and really kind people In the morning, before breakfast, they asked us what we wanted and they prepared it for us and everything was handmade, natural and made on the spot. Nothing was industrial. They also organize excursions around Marrakech practically for the next day with a wide variety of destinations. The pool water was very clean and it is great to relax for a while like the Hammam and the massage that you can book in the Riad itself: the two girls were super professional and left us very relaxed. The rooms were clean and everything was also very quiet for a good massage. The only thing I can say is that for my taste, but it is something personal, I would like the air conditioning to be cooler When I return to Marrakech I have no doubt that I will stay at this Riad again. It was an unforgettable experience with wonderful people who made us feel like family and that we were at home.

Located in the heart of Kasbah, reachable by taxi at doorstep, 15 mins walk to Medina. Spacious room, clean and neat. Staff is friendly and supportive. Backyard with fountain is lovely to sit during breakfast or late evening.

The property has a beautiful inner courtyard with water fountain. A very tranquil and relaxing space away from the hustle and bustle from the street outside. An oasis of calm to come back to after navigating the busy medina.

Cons: I was disappointed there were building works on the roof during my stay as the pool was being renovated. This should really have been reflected in the room rate. Also i would suggest covering up the jams at breakfast time with lids as they were attracting wasps which was a bit annoying. Finally although the location is relatively central its on a busy polluted street. The bedroom at the front could have maybe had some noise insulation around the windows.

Clean room.

Cons: When I arrived, they checked me in 1 hour late. When I approached the room, the cleaning was still going on. I was requested to bring my language by myself to the second floor. Both my TV and telephone were not working. Noisy atmosphere in the morning in particular, they also do repairs and cleaning at any time, so if you plan for a nap, don't think about it. The breakfast is a pity. Don't raise your expectations. No coffee machine, water bottle kettle in the room. The Riad was managed by one boy and girl without experience in handling guests. They ruined my stay.

Room was as expected! The pictures are a true image of what you will get. We found it cold however, with no way to heat it (heating unit did not work). The location worked well for us. It was about a 7 minute comfortable walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa. We were near everything and the people were so friendly and welcoming to the neighbourhood. The sinks and shower had a serious draining issue but we lived with it. Breakfast was included in the nightly rate. It was good but almost the same daily and a lot of breads/ bake goods, and pastry which we try not to indulge every morning!

Cons: Major drainage problem with sink and shower. Very cold room and we were there at the end of March and it was very cold during our stay. I also was expecting a bit more welcoming hospitality - personal touches (tea etc). We did stay during Ramadan so it's possible the welcoming hospitality and activity of the Riad may be different during other times of the year.

My stay at Riad Omara AL Kasbah was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. The highlight of my mornings was the delicious breakfast served at the riad. From fresh fruits to traditional Moroccan pastries, there was something to satisfy every palate. The attentive staff made sure that my dining experience was top-notch, setting the tone for the rest of the day. The rooms at Riad Omara AL Kasbah were spacious, elegantly furnished, and exuded a sense of tranquility. The large, well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the bustling streets of the Kasbah. And let's not forget about the bathrooms – they were huge! The luxurious amenities and ample space made for a truly indulgent experience. But what truly sets Riad Omara AL Kasbah apart is the attention to detail and personalized service provided by the staff. Also, I should mention, the location was great. Walking distance or cheap taxi to any landmark in Marrakesh m Overall, I can't recommend Riad Omara AL Kasbah enough. Whether you're seeking relaxation or adventure, this tranquil oasis in the heart of the Kasbah is the perfect choice for your stay in Morocco.

Cons: We stayed on the first floor, and the suite was noisy. I believe the top floors would be excellent. I didn't like the massage as well. Would recommend to the owner to find more professional therapists.

The room was big and very pretty. The whole Riad was looking amazing and the location was in the middle of the Medina, while still being close to a secure paid parking.

Cons: There was an overall lack of quality. The staff was mostly nice but seemed untrained, the receptionist was sighing a lot when we asked to pay by card for the dinner, as we didn't have cash anymore because we were heading to the airport (which we explained). Also the food was way more expensive than anywhere we went in Morocco (we ate 'out' more than 15 times in a lot of different cities), and also the quality of the food (tajine) was not great. We heard a lot of noise from the street when on the rooftop and in the room, which probably is due to the location.

Riad Omara af Kasbah doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is incredible inside. The marble carvings on the columns and around the windows of the inner courtyard are to my untrained Western eye essentially identical to those I saw at Bahia palace nearby and at the Ben Youssef Madrasa. My room was like something made for a sultan. Full of fine furniture and decorative carvings. This was the fanciest of the four riads I stayed in during my 10-day trip in Morocco (and the others were all very nice). I would love to know the history of the building and would encourage the owners to write about it on the riad's webpage. There was a very nice young guy, Sleeman (spelling?), on duty the night I stayed over. We had a great conversation and he made me feel very welcome Thanks Sleeman! Note: During my one-night stay (Feb 12-13, 2024), the pool on the roof terrace was closed due to renovation.

Riad Omara is beautiful. Rooms are filled with several Moroccan design details, which make the whole experience unique. Sliman and Imene were perfect hosts, always caring about our needs. Overall, it is a great quality-value place. The main plaza is at only 15 mins walk along wide streets. The internal court is an explois of colors.

Cons: It was a bit of a pity that the swimming pool was not available as it was being refurbished. A lovely traditional Riad full of moroccan charm located in the Kasbah area. The location was very good, only about a 15/20 minute walk to the Femaa en-fna square. The Saadian Tombs are literally a 2 minute walk away and the Bahia Palace about 5 minutes walk. The staff Soulymane, Driss Hassan and Imame were lovely and very, very helpful. There is a lovely upstairs terrace with a pool which sadly was out of commission because of the earthquake.

Cons: Unfortunately our room was located on the ground floor right next to the kitchen which meant it was a little noisy on an evening and in the morning. If not for this point we would have scored it a 10

Riad Omara al Kasbah was an absolutely wonderful stay. So much so, that we kept extending our time a couple a days at a time until our 3-4 day stay was 9 days! We had plans to move to another riad, but enjoyed the ease and comfort. We changed rooms one time during our stay as our intial room was booked as we extended. The place is beautifully decorated, easily accessible and not far from one of the main gates of the medina. Totally walkable proximity to Jemma al Fna and they themselves have a restaurant within the facility where you are served breakfast. The highlight of our stay is the kindness of those working there. Youness, Moouad and Omar made us feel at home, assisted us easily with all our needs during our stay and took interest in whether we were ok and safe in our adventures in Morocco. Younes is a wealth of information at making navigating Marrakech easy. Truly a wonderful experience.

Cons: I only warn that if you are not able to navigate narrow winding steps or have accessibility challenges, this is not the place for you, as all rooms are at least one flight of stairs up and the top floor being multiple winding flights up

Super comfy beds. Staff very friendly and supportive (younes, idris, omar, and the new guy Mouaz). Very big rooms.

Cons: Poor breakfast. Rooms located next to the breakfast rooms are very noisy at early morning due to cooking and cleaning team. Also, the hotel is located in an old and very crowded area (Al Qasba),so don't expect a modern vaccinity. But the area is very safe, and this is not related to the hotel.

The Riad is amazingly beautiful, the decoration, facilities, structure, etc., are so thoughtfully designed and build that makes you feel marveled and at peace at the same time. in top of that, the best gift for me as a guest was getting to meet the staff that worked in the management, reception, kitchen, cleaning and more. My heart is full after getting to know such amazing people who were kind enough to share their stories with me out of pure good will and not work duty, responding to a complete stranger’s (me) curiosity and eagerness to learn about their culture, but also amour themselves, and making me feel so welcomed and comfortable simultaneously. It was truly a unique, beautiful and life changing experience that I deeply appreciate and have no words to express my gratitude and love. Thank you, for everything ❀

Cons: The two managers were unpleasant at times. they were eating when we arrived and didn’t bother to greet the group or tend to our checkin. Two young men were run off their feet trying to assist with little English. when my guide rang to organise carts for for our luggage to be brought in as our bus was too large to enter, he was told to organise it for himself. I will not book another group into this Riad. We did not feel welcome.

A nice hotel, located close to the Medina center. The walking distance to reach the center was about 20minutes. The room was comfortable enough and the staff really friendly and available to assist in helping us organise things we wanted to do. The breakfast was descent. Overall, it is a nice optio.

Beautiful Riad. Made very welcome. Collection service to and from the airport was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, charming and keen that everything was perfect - and it was !! The location is good and surprisingly peaceful within the building. The roof top plunge pool was also a nice facility and refreshing after days in the heat and bustle. I was visiting on my own this time and the single room was perfect. Sully was mainly in duty when I returned from my days out and added greatly to a great visit - top man !!

Cons: If you are cutting down on sugar you might have a little difficulty with the breakfast but no big deal just might be a but different which is why we travel isnt it ?

the young waiter at breakfast was charming . He really cared about making sure we had all we needed . We liked how the accommodation was in the Medina. Our room was huge and faced in to the inner terrace, so quiet .

Cons: We got a day trip to the Atlas Mountains - lunch , camel ride
for £37 online but the Riad offer it at €60 each . A big bottle of water was only 6 dinar but at the Riad that wanted 15 for a small bottle . We booked a suite but were given a room . Booking.com had it advertised as a presidential suite but we got a room . contacting booking.com was almost impossible as they claim to have sent me a 4 number pin - they never did. Taxi from the airport - organised by Riad - was 150 dinar but on the way back we got our own and it was only 100. Riad had masses of narrow staircases . We had a massive bath - 6 foot deep - but no taps so couldn’t use it .

it’s a nice Boutique hotel, room was spacious and walking distance from all the tourist attractions. Sulaiman, who served us was polite and friendly. breakfast was good. nice decor . Didn’t have time to use other amenities as stayed there for 1 day only.

Cons: they appeared very commercial. I have travelled to many countries around the world including few in Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Egypt. no where have charged me to print out the boarding pass but at this hotel , it was €1/ boarding pass. not a huge amount but it doesn’t feel very hospitable for the standard of the hotel. airport transfer €20, the Riad we stayed on the first was further away from the airport and they offered transfer from airport for €16.

Room was very pretty to look at

Cons: Street noise was severe. The shower would randomly turn freezing cold to suddenly boiling hot - so hot that if you weren't quick you could be severely burned and have to be hospitalized (actually quite dangerous). The staff were a bit sketchy, calling the phone in the room (by mistake?) late at night, telling me different prices for a taxi to the airport depending on who I talked to, at one point over-charging my a lot, and always asking for positive reviews, ironically.

the location was fantastic. right in the middle of the old town streets of kasbah on the Main Street, right next to the little market souq and within minuets walking to the main square. in about 15-20 minuets you can easily have walked the whole of the old city. Even though it was a lively street, when inside the riad, you cannot hear the busy outdoors. staff were absolutely lovely and helpful with everything. I liked that the property was very old and traditional. lovely building.

We stayed in the Riad for 4 nights and absolutely would recommend it. The room was lovely, everything was spotless. The beds were really comfortable ( and I know what I'm talking about as I stayed in a different hotel for a few days afterwards and it was like sleeping on a table !!) . In the morning we awoke to the sound of birds singing in the central courtyard. Breakfast was very nice and was different every day. Every afternoon we came back to towel swans or hearts and rose petals on our beds- great wee touch! Location wise it was perfect for us. It's just down the street from Saadien's Tombs. Bahia Palace and Jamaa el Fna Square were within walking distance. Taxis can drop you outside also unlike some other riads in the Medina. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Big thumbs up from us for Riad Omara Al Kasbah

The room was beautiful as was the inside of the Riad.

Cons: The first impression of the reception area was not good. It is very unattractive and not representative of the beauty within. The breakfast was the least inspired of our ten day trip. Every day two very sweet cakes and one savory pastry, slimey pudding and some canned fruit cup. No egg or protein. Also, one of the double doors to our bathroom became locked after maid service and despite asking both the maid on duty and the manager at reception, no one ever fixed it in over 24 hours of asking, so for 1/3 of our stay we had to squeeze through a tiny opening to reach our bathroom. Not cool.

the style, and level of comfort including the bed was incredible, the rooms were spacious and quiet, the room was near the main entrance in the ground floor, I expected it to be noisy but it was the opposite once I opened the window shutters I could hear the street, but before barely at all. the staff here are incredibly helpful and well informed of how to manage local Souls and where to go for specific things. I would highly recommend as I have stayed in a few riads! the inner courtyard and terrace are beautifully appointed and the rooms are tastefully decorated in traditional styles!

We had a wonderful stay here!! All of the staff were so lovely to deal with and always took care of our needs. It was my partner and I's anniversary and the team had our room set up beautifully with flowers and candles as a surprise for her, I really appreciated their efforts with this. Our room was fantastic and the bed very large and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious and both the inner courtyard and rooftop terrace were beautiful areas to relax. I cannot recommend this Riad enough and will always stay here when I visit Marrakech.

The staff was amazing, really helpful and super nice people from the receptionists to the waiters always smiling and really "good at their job". The ambiance of this 700 years old Riad is super fascinating and the decorations are superb. The location is really optimal as it is few minutes walk from the Jmaa El Fna with multiple local small restaurants around.

The riad is located is a great location , walking distance from the main sites to visit. The hotel is beautiful and home. The staff is lovely and provided great recommendation and advice as to places to visit and how to negotiate with the locals. We stayed in two different rooms that were besutiful. Highly recommend this riad.

we had an amazing week stay here! shahin was amazing, told us the best places to visit & offered plenty of excursions if we wanted to. The courtyard was beautiful, the roof top has a nice pool and the bedrooms were extremely clean & comfortable. great place to stay if you want somewhere a little more quiet just 15 minutes walk from the main square. The property is on the same street as 2 great rooftop restaurants and shops. i would recommend staying here, great for couples.

Cons: hardly any negatives. the only thing was the shower pressure in our room kept cutting out but other than that our stay was perfect.

Breakfasts could have been more elaborate and traditional as they are in other riads. But aside from that all was excellent

4th time in Marrakech and our best Riad!!! The surroundings are so lively and culturally the best. Safe, authentic and fun. We had an amazing time at the Riad Omara al Kasbah. Everything was just perfect, magical, comfortable, quiet, with very good quality of food. And Shain, the manager is just an amazing man! Helpful, kind, fun, giving advices to make the best of our experiences, friendly... we could not expect more and would highly recommend the Riad. Thank you so much Shain for everything!!!

Cons: Nothing!

Beautiful clean rooms, amazing inner garden where you have breakfast, nice little pool on the top on hot days, very relaxing, silent riad with a little fountain in the middle, we returned 3 times that tells everything :)

Definitely was one of the best places I visited to get some rest. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. I want to thank Chahin for doing everything he make us feel at home. We would love to visit you again.

there’s a rooftop swimming pool with a nice scenery and a view of Marrakech, breakfasts are pretty tasty and the location of breakfasts is pretty good, there’s a separate entrance for guests, rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day, there’s a functioning A/C, there are water bottles and other drinks accessible to guests (paid), pretty nice aesthetic of the riad, Riad is placed in calmer location of Marrakech, yet still historic and close to El Fnaa

Cons: Stuff is changing everyday, with some you can’t communicate in English, once we were asked to leave the pool because the staff wanted to turn off the lights, it didn’t happen on other days, breakfasts tend to be repetitive, A/C is slow working, room of bathroom for some reason is very hot, there’s no view from the room, we didn’t have our gel and shampoo refilled for days, shower is malfunctioning, the room is pretty dark, there’s no jack near the bed to charge the phone

To be perfectly honest, everything was perfect. The staff were so kind to us and took care of us always. Jawad, Mohamed and Chahin were so lovely, attentive and welcoming. I in particular loved having a delicious mint tea every morning with breakfast, so thanks to sweet Jawad for always knowing my order and who also brought breakfast to our room when we were poorly. All of them were so amazing though and each offered something to us as guests, we've created real lifetime bonds and can't wait to return. Even in 47 degree heat, our rooms were cool and comfortable. Importantly, the beds were so comfy and a pleasure to sleep in. We slept great each night. The room was an absolute delight, beautiful Moroccan chic. We would so honestly come for another 10 days. We loved it. Shukran! <3

Cons: We genuinely enjoyed everything.
