This is a beautiful and unique property that in itself is an experience. The staff, the included breakfast, the small rooftop pool, the beautifully designed spaces and rooms and the overall vibe was amazing. Some people might disagree that this location is not convenient, but we loved that it was slightly removed, but yet still walkable to all the things we wanted to see and the tourist areas. As soon as you step out your door, there are so many sites and the people of Marrakech just doing day-to-day things. We enjoyed being immersed in this.

We had the most pleasant stay at Riad Khbour. It’s an oasis in the middle of the Medina, providing guests with generosity, taste and space. Ours was a luxurious room with a large window into the green, where we could observe the little birds. Hospitality was extraordinary.

Tutto molto bello e curato. Colazione buonissima e abbondante, con yoghurt, frutta, muesli, succo d'arancia, pancake, marmellate, tè o caffé, formaggio e pomodorini. E volendo anche le uova. Our stay at Riad Kbour & Chou was fantastic, with luxurious rooms and outstanding service that made the trip unforgettable. The staff members was extremely polite and efficient, making us feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and bright, with a nice view from the window, an extra-large comfortable bed, and tasteful furnishings. This is the place to be if you enjoy nature. The highlights were the tiny buddies we enjoyed spending time with. The breakfast on the rooftop was delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. We adored every moment there; it was the highlight of our trip.
Cons: The riad's location was quite tricky to get to, but simply notify the staff and they will come to meet you at the drop off point.

We loved everything about the riad! It is so tastefully decorated and each room is unique - we had a hard time picking which room to stay in! The owner made us feel at home. He is so considerate and kind, nothing was too much to ask. It is located slightly away from the medina, which we didn’t mind for its peace and quiet. The riad gave us free bikes we could use which made our venturing out so much easier and more fun - no more standing in 42 degree sun waiting for a taxi! 4 course dinner was amazing, breakfast was amazing, we even had a bottle of wine with dinner. This is hands down the best riad we’ve stayed in in Marrakesh! Thank you for your hospitality!

This is my attempt at writing the best possible recommendation… The place, the decor, the staff and their warm hospitality, the food, the calm, the aesthetics – and not least, the massage. Everything was sublime. The location might seem a little remote, but I found it absolutely perfect to stay slightly away from the chaos of the souks (and they have free bikes – I was a huge fan!). Best of all: the staff truly make you feel at home, and it’s as if they’re constantly trying to optimize your stay in every way they can. Lastly: an amazing massage and an incredible masseur! A thousand thanks for a wonderful stay – I would love to come back.

Once you find the front door and enter the Riad it’s a haven of tranquility. Every detail is so carefully crafted and chosen. This was my second time here and it was even better then I remembered thanks to the staff Karim,Rachid,Zakaria,Mohamed just to name a few not to mention the women who made sure that everything was beautifully clean. I realize that there are many Riads you can choose, but this one is a rare gem I highly suggest you should check this one out on your next visit to Marrakech.

Hands down our favorite riad in Morocco from our 10 day trip. The room was soooo spacious and beautifully designed. We loved using the big bath tub and listening to the sounds of birds outside the windows. The peaceful garden atmosphere made it such a relaxing stay. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning. Dinner on the rooftop felt personal and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. Bobby the dog was a lovely, unique addition. We cannot wait to come back!
Cons: the neighborhood is on a quieter side of the medina and felt a bit sketchy at night but the walk from the taxi drop off point is only four minutes.

From start to finish, our experience at Riad Kbour Chou was outstanding. Communication was excellent from the moment we booked, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay. An airport pickup was easily arranged, making our arrival stress-free. Upon arrival at the riad, we were warmly greeted with traditional mint tea and cookies, along with a detailed overview of the area. The staff provided a map and great recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions, which helped us get oriented quickly. We chose to have dinner on the rooftop our first night, and we’re so glad we did—it was a delicious four-course Moroccan meal served in a beautiful setting. The riad itself is stunning, with cozy nooks perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Tour arrangements were handled for us, which made it very easy to get to know Marrakech. We also treated ourselves to a massage during our stay—another highlight that we highly recommend! Breakfast each morning was a real treat, featuring fresh-squeezed juice, coffee or tea, a variety of breads, granola, and eggs—all delicious and beautifully presented. We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Kbour Chou and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience in Marrakech.

It was real magic for me. A secret place hidden in narrow winding dark medina street that will stay in my mind. From the entrance to the roof every detail is sophisticated and simply Beautiful. Old Riad with a twist of african details. The voice of the muezzin mixed with the singing birds and subtle of fragrance. The entire staff is the essence of Moroccan hospitality and the dinner we had was the best we had in all of Morocco. I will definitely come back to experience it again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Kbour and Chou. The hotel itself, along with its architecture and decor, is amazing. The staff—especially Mohammed—and the owners are very friendly and took great care of us during our stay. The breakfast and dinner (we tried the chicken and lamb tagine) were excellent. If we come back to Marrakech, we will definitely return to Riad Kbour and Chou.
Cons: I don’t think it’s a bad thing—it’s probably more to do with the building itself or the specific room you’re staying in. Our window faced the lane rather than the courtyard, and while the window was very beautiful, it wasn’t really soundproof. We could hear sounds from the lane, like people returning home or cats chatting. It didn’t really bother us, but it’s just something to be aware of.

This place is not to be missed during your trip to Marrakesh. The location of the riad is in a more local area which we loved. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful Riad, which reminded me of my childhood dreams, when I was fascinated by the stories of Kay Nielsens „1001 nights“ Not just the atmosphere, also the location felt perfect to us - not in the busy tourist area, but still close enough with everything in walking distance and very quiet during the night. We definitely want to mention the world-class breakfast and the fantastic staff. We want to express our special thanks to Karim, Rashid, Rashida and Mohamed. Five thumbs up and a big recommendation. We will definitely come back

Tucked away from the lively hustle and bustle of Marrakech, Riad Kbour & Chou is a true sanctuary that offers an escape into tranquility while still being within reach of the city's vibrant charm. This hidden gem radiates warmth and authenticity, making it the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the essence of Moroccan hospitality in a serene, intimate setting. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of calm. The riad's design is a beautiful fusion of traditional Moroccan architecture with a welcoming, homely atmosphere. Every detail, from the intricate tile work to the comfortable yet elegant furnishings, feels thoughtfully curated to create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and utterly relaxing. The central courtyard, with its lush greenery, is a peaceful haven for guests to unwind, whether it's for a morning coffee or a quiet evening. What truly elevates Riad Kbour & Chou, however, is the exceptional staff. They make you feel like a part of the family, treating you with the utmost care and respect. The team is attentive without being overbearing, and it’s clear that they take great pride in offering a personal, tailored experience. Whether you need advice on where to shop, help with transportation, or just a friendly chat over a glass of mint tea, the staff’s warmth and dedication shine through in everything they do. One of the most remarkable aspects of Riad Kbour & Chou is the deep sense of trust that permeates the entire experience. The riad operates not only as a place to stay, but as a space built on genuine care and mutual respect. Guests are welcomed with open arms and treated with such authenticity that it’s easy to forget you're in the heart of one of Morocco’s busiest cities. This sense of trust extends beyond the service to the environment of the riad itself, where you truly feel at home and at ease.

Very tasteful interior design with a love for details that just makes you want to keep looking at the place. The tiles! The floor-length wooden windows! The miniature jungle just beyond! The lamps shining though the foliage in the cooling dark! The whole Riad is more beautiful than I could have imagined. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Karim. Delicious breakfast (the tomatoes!!) on a stunning rooftop.
Cons: The location is a bit remote. It was very very hot in Marrakech when we were there so the walk sometimes was tough. Taxis are generally a bit of a hassle, but especially (and understandably) within the Medina so it always was a bit of a thing to get somewhere. For the slightly cooler than 41 degrees days and those without walking issues, it‘s not an issue though.

The room was beautiful.. they offered me an upgrade but my room & bathroom were so lovely I preferred to stay where I was it. The staff are ‘switched on’ to help you versus in the previous riad they helped if you asked them. It is really reassuring when travelling on your own.
Cons: It is hard to find..& the lane into it is dark. Travelling alone, although they met me in the square, you do feel ‘where are they talking me’..& then you walk in to this beautiful place. All pricing is in Euro not Durham.

The property is beautiful and the staff are delightful. Very attentive and eager to make your stay lovely. This riads breakfast was the best I had in Marrakech and I stayed at 6 different riads.
Cons: I didn’t like the fact there were other guests at the time of my booking letting their children run around like animals screaming non stop. The riad should have done something about this and asked them to quiet down. There was also a dog crying for 3 hours first thing in the morning at 6am. It was a bit loud but this is not at the fault of the riad.

This is a beautiful Riad just outside the souks, but still within the medina walls. When we entered the Riad, it was like going through the cupboard of Narnia. Beautiful Riad that has been put together with so much dedication and charm that feels like no other. The amazing food included probably one of the best dinners we have had in Morocco. I have been to Morocco plenty of times, but this is the most wonderful riad I have ever stayed at. So peaceful, very quiet and a great area! It's in the Medina but in a not so touristy, more calm area, which is lovely to walk around. It's about a 25 min fun walk to Jamelfnza. Big thanks to the amazing staff. Mona, Naziha, Karim, Jacques and the others, who made us feel so welcome. Last but not least, the food, waaw!! Definitely eat dinner here if you can, and the breakfast is the best I have ever had. It was a little oasis needed after all the hustle & bustle of the souks, a beautiful riad which felt welcoming & peaceful. We were very well looked after by the team who were always on hand if we needed anything. The breakfasts on the rooftop were a highlight & our room overlooking the courtyard was beautiful. Overall, it exceeded my expectations!
Cons: We loved everything about the property. The only reason we didn’t give a 10 was due to the wood smoke that we often smelt (which irritated the coughs we had from colds). Appreciate that can’t really be helped though.

It's like walking into an oasis. The property is beautiful and well cleaned. We were picked up by one of the staff and they helped us walk our luggage to the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and the location was definitely hidden, but not sketchy. Our room was exactly as in the pictures, and the welcome drink and treats were lovely. One of the staff gave us an excellent rundown of what to see and do in Marrakesh. We only stayed one night and in the morning they helped us communicate with our driver and escort us to the vehicle. The friendliness of the staff is the best part of this property!
Cons: There seems to be a lack in communication. First the staff gave us recommendations on where to have dinner, and I said we already booked a dinner with the hotel--which he seemed to have no idea about, but all was fine we still had our dinner there. I also requested a birthday cake or pastry for my partner (a week+ in advance through Booking.com) which they confirmed to be prepared alongside dinner. In the end, there was no cake--the staff seemed to have no idea. Dinner itself had beautiful vegetables but the Tagine of chicken and lemon was very forgettable. The amount of time between appetizer, dinner, and dessert was very long--but we did sit on the terrace so we were a bit out of the way for staff.

The atmosphere of the place is amazing. Riad feels like an oasis of calmness. Breakfast on the rooftop, option to lit fireplace in the room, beautiful interior details, classical music in the salon. The staff is helpful and friendly and makes you feel at home. Special thanks to Karim and Mohamed for the hospitality! There is an option to book a massage, which is great, highly recommend it.

Absolutely stunning riad, decorated with great taste and with the friendliest, most accommodating staff one could wish for. We really enjoyed our stay here, from the daily breakfast on the terrace, to tea with delicious sweets in the courtyard, as well as a beautiful room.

We, as a professional fashion journalist and an offer, dare to say that we have some kind of proclivity for aesthetics. According to the pictures, we expected a nice Riad. However, our expectations were outperformed by far. Every interior is hand-picked and has a history, the staff is more than friendly, and breakfast is outstanding.

Before arriving in Marrakech, I dreamt of dreamy days relaxing in a luxurious Riad surrounded by Moroccan art and influences. This Riad has it all, tremendously caring staff, a magical setting, delightful rooftop terrace and opera music in the evenings! We were treated to such a wonderful hospitality experience here. Jacques and his team are so focused on guest care and comfort. We sincerely appreciated the efforts of Mohammad, Rachid, Karim and the truly exceptional chef. She cooked us a lunch in the courtyard which was one of the highlights of our trip in Marrakech and having spent a total of 10 days here, that says a lot! Don't hesitate to book here, you won't be disappointed.
Cons: Property is outstanding. No dislikes.

We had an amazing stay here - it was so calm and beautiful and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic, we had a delicious evening meal prepared for us one night on the terrace, we were given a map and recommendations for sights and restaurants, a car booked to take us to and from a restaurant that was a bit further away, airport transfer sorted and more! Would recommend this riad to anyone coming to visit Marrakech!
Cons: The pillows could have been more comfortable - that's the only thing! Everything else was perfect.

I liked the feeling that you're at home. In your personal oasis of peace and tranquility. It is a pleasant experience to feel at home in such an atmosphere. The advantage is that there’s no need to close the door, which increases the credibility of the place. I don't know how, but as a closed person, I really liked it. Another brick of peace is classical music and birdsong on the territory. In general, there are a lot of animals, fish, turtles, frogs) Special thanks to the entire riad team, they were great)
Cons: The only disadvantage of this place is that you have to leave it)

The personal service is very good. The staff was taking care of us and did everything to make it comfortable for us. Although the Riad is hidden in a low quarter, the place itself is certainly beautiful, a hidden gem.

The property was in a great location distance wise. Everywhere was pretty much a 20 minute walk away, which was great. Also, the staff were amazing! so friendly, accommodating and helpful - they really made a huge difference to my stay. I cannot compliment the staff enough!
Cons: The riad is situated in the old city (which is great to see culture and is close to famous landmarks etc) but it is not as developed as the new city, this meant at times I would feel a bit nervous walking home when it was late.

The riad was so peaceful after days wandering the around the Medina. It was designed amazingly with plenty of spots to relax and read or have some delicious mint tea and cakes. A great Riad, which may be a bit hard to find. The rooms were amazing, the service was superb, and even WiFi was working fine. A welcome mint tea and some sweets, overall atmosphere, great breakfast, and amazing room design (eh, already mentioned that, but still), including the fireplace!
Cons: To be fair, it's a bit hard to find, and the surroundings may seem a bit shady at night, but the staff will meet you.

It really felt like paradise. Jacque and the staff were so helpful, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed with tea and were given such good tips on places to visit and how to get around. The service throughout the stay was absolutely excellent. The riad itself also really takes your breath away and is absolutely beautiful. it is easy to get around and you can either walk or make use of the bicycles. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO EVERYONE

This property is not super close to the souk, but it's worth the walk. The property is elegant and spacious with many nooks to hideout in. Rooftop breakfast is a must. Lots of plants and foliage make the experience inviting. The rooms are charming, with lots of wood and brick, and marble. A really welcome break from the hustle of the medina.

I would recommend this place over and over again. As soon as you step through the door, it’s like stepping into another world. Our room was beautiful (we booked the bigger suite) and we loved having breakfast on the terrace. The whole staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: the only I thing I didn’t love about the property was the location, but it wouldn’t put me off booking again. The MANY positives of property itself far outweigh the location (which isn’t terrible, just not central for markets and restaurants).

Jacques the owner received us very openly. Breakfast is delicious and the optional dinner as well. The Riad is situated in the north parth of the medina, but you can walk in few minutes to the market.
Cons: Without the help of Jacques we weren't able to find the Riad. But Jacques received us near his Riad to help us parking the car and showed us the way. This is not really an issue, but the first time walking to the Riad is a little strang (caution to your head ;-)

Colazione super! Grazie mille, speriamo di tornare prestissimo!

Wow! From the second we entered Riad Kbour & Chour, we immediately felt at ease, taken care of, and were completely enamored with the thoughtful and beautiful design. The owner, Jacques, greeted us and took us on a fun bike ride around the neighborhood (note: while inside the medina walls, it is about a 20 min walk to most of the sites). The lush garden, rooms, and food were all excellent. It was one of the best hotels we've stayed at for the hospitality. Would highly recommend having dinner (and breakfast) there, as well!

Had a fantastic stay at the Riad. Located in a secluded backstreet makes it hard to find for both guests and noise. A perfect place to get a relaxing and calm spot in Marrakech’s buzz. With unique and exquisite design and high quality food, this really fulfilled and concluded our Morocco trip. The direct neighborhood could be nicer after dawn, but why leave this pearl?

Accueil attentif .

The Kbour and Chou Riad was a lovely place to stay in Marrakech. Nicolas is a very easy going, pleasant and helpful person serving as your host for the stay. The courtyard is beautifully decorated with plants and furniture, making for a relaxing and serene environment. The Koubba Suite was large and comfortable. The room décor was tasteful and all in beautiful Moroccan style. The bathroom is huge, with a magnificent high brick ceiling. There is a large bathtub. The bed is comfortable and the room is quiet. We had dinner up on the roof terrace the first evening of our stay. The food was delicious, the environment wonderful and the service friendly and attentive. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace each morning, which was delicious. There are two pet dogs in the riad (Bobby and Labas (sp?)) who are very friendly and keep an eye on things around the riad. There is also a cat, which is a slight problem for people like me who have a mild allergy to cats, but it stays to itself for the most part and was not a big problem. The staff at the riad are extremely nice and eager to help, especially Azziz and Khalid, who made the meals a particularly enjoyable experience. The location of the riad is in the Medina, about a 10-minute walk to the souks and 20 minutes to Jemaa El-Fna, which puts it away from the most touristy areas and which felt like a more authentic, local neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this riad for a stay in Marrakech.

Beautiful Riad tucked away in the north part of the medina. Superb breakfast and dinners, everything is home made (bread, jams, natural yoghurt and granola). By far the best breakfast in Marrakesh. The rooms are tastefully designed, light, airy and very clean. The dinners are a must, on the roof terrace with your own private fire and dining are. Jacques the co-owner is so helpful and all the staff are incredibly friendly and will do whatever they can to make you comfortable and happy. Loubass and Bobby the two dogs are incredibly loving and made us feel very at home. This is the best Riad in Marrakesh. A secret oasis and escape from all the hustle and bustle that Marrakesh delivers.

Our stay in Kbour & Chou Was excellent. The walk through a few bustling streets, alleys and a short tunnel, brought us to the Riad’s doorway. Once inside the serene courtyard, you immediately felt at peace. Nicholas welcomed us with a pot of mint tea and some sweets. It was hard at first listening to his many recommendations because I was taking in all of the amazing detailed architecture, plant life, water feature, the soft sounds of birds singing and the two beautiful dogs. His staff and partner introduced themselves and welcomed us as well. Nicolas took the time to show us a map of the Medina and souks. He was very helpful in recommending where to eat and places of interest to see. We stayed in the Kofiq room for six nights. This is a spacious and comfortable room with beautiful detailed work throughout. Our breakfast was served up on the terrace and anything you desired was freshly prepared. My celiac diet was accommodated with perfection. Our dinner, also served on the terrace, consisted of multiple gourmet courses from soup to desert. Just thinking of the lamb tagine still stimulates my appetite. This Riad was quite a find and I certainly can see why the ratings are high.

My daughter and I spent two days in Marrakech at this place. We felt at home! The place is run by a very nice couple and the hospitality is as good as homey. The Riad is beautifully decorated and comfortable, evenings one can sit in the candle lit patio or on the rooftop terrace. The whole place is inviting and comfortable. We had a ground floor room which was beautiful. The breakfast is memorable! Everything that one dreams of is served in the most elegant manner by the friendliest staff. The jams, breads and yogurt are homemade and everything tastes great and fresh. We also had the homemade couscous served on the rooftop and it was enough for 4 even though we were 2! I highly recommend this Riad to anyone who is looking for a homely hospitality and atmosphere interacting with the helpful and attentive owners as well as their two super nice dogs!
