The water was hot. There was enough room for our family. (We were falsely led to believe that there wasnât a room big enough to accommodate us.) We had to pay for two rooms though we only used one.
Cons: There wasnât a sign on the outside indicating that we were at the correct location. I couldnât stand up to use the toilet without hitting my head (Iâm only 5â11). They were under construction and there was random junk everywhere. Breakfast cost 50 Dh per person but was the cheapest breakfast that could be found. (The entire meal for our family of 7 would have cost about 40 Dh). It says perfect for families but itâs on really busy street that made it extremely stressful trying to protect my kids from being run over by moped drivers. I also got spit on by a local âcrazy manâ and followed. I reported the incident to the Ryad staff. They did nothing to ensure our safety and comfort.

The included breakfast was a great bonus. Note that you get the same thing every day, but it was a good and easy way to start the day for our family.
Cons: We were in the 5 bed/6 person room which sits right on the first floor next to the kitchen. The room is tall and and spacious, the bathroom is tiny, dingy, and nearly unusable for my 6'7" self. My wife and kids chose not to take the showers the 3 days we were there as they didn't like the look of the bathroom. The bedroom was quiet except for the staff person who was outside the room on the couch right outside our window who was coughing all night long. This same staff person coughed continually as they served our breakfast each morning. The lock for the door is a keyed paddle lock on a slide bolt - granted the door is original and historic.

The location is really good
Cons: Our stay at riad Carole was not what we expected. The breakfast was good, but the staff was unprofessional, and we had to ask for fresh towels, toilet paper and to get our trash can emptied every day. The location is really good, but I wouldnât recommend staying there for more than a few days, as the rooms are a bit filthy, hot and without aircondition. Also, there was no door separation the bathroom from the bedroom, which was quite uncomfortable. Also, the restaurant at the riad was closed every day without a proper reason being told to the guests.

Nothing, really. The property is unhealthy and smells badly. It should be closed for hygiene reasons, unless drastically renewed.
Cons: I booked it in a rush for one night only at the end of my vacation, ready to return. I didn't read the reviews before booking, unfortunately. Our room is on the first floor. The old tapestry and the carpets smell strongly of dust and dirt. The dirt is clearly visible everywhere around. The bathroom is dilapidated and lacks the bare necessities (which the property lists among the amenities offered): there is no toilet paper, hand soap, or toiletries. A hanging towel has visible stains. None of the windows in the room close properly, and many have broken glasses (which makes the room extremely noisy, but this is the last of the property's problems). The rooms looks unsafe: the door to the anteroom closes with a ridiculous metal clasp (even a child with a weak kick could easily open it from the outside), while the door to the bedroom is completely missing the handle. The anteroom is a dirty and dusty space with a rubbish-old, non-functioning refrigerator. I immediately contacted the Booking.com customer service to request alternative accommodations, but no one from Booking.com got back to me (despite the agent I spoke with told me otherwise), so I was forced to spend the night. As I struggled to sleep, I felt something crawling on my arm: a cockroach made me jump out of bed and spend the rest of the night sleepless. Obviously we didn't get a shower and refused to have breakfast which was included in the price. Of course I didn't expect a five stars property, but this property is just not suitable for living. Especially not for families as claimed in the property's name: nothing here looks family friendly, and I find it very irresponsible trying to attract children in such an unsafe place.

Riad is close to the city center accessible by walking with around 18 min walk. Host was very kind and helped us with booking taxi from and to the airport. Breakkfast area was very nicely decorated and party room was also available that we used for lugage storage. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Riad.
Cons: Breakfast was good, but would be even better if served with different verieties having especially Morocca traditional breakfast dishes during our multiple days stay. Room was quite big and equiped with only one standing fan. It would be better to have atleast 2 standing fans to cover the entire room. Cleanliness and services can be improved for higher ratings. Communication with cleaning staff was tricky since they only speaks Arabic and French. Not good in English.

Nothing everything was disappointing
Cons: The rooms were terrible the worst rooms Iâve seen in Marrakech .The toilets were disgusting and looked like a prison cell . The seating area was terrible and looked like a room for hobbits I donât even recommend this to anyone and itâs not worth value for money if you want to enjoy get a decent hotel but never book this hotel . They food was shit the source was cold for the chicken and they donât have much of an option. A small portion of chicken was 100 Dirhams which is like ÂŁ10 you can get cheaper food elsewhere please do not book this hotel itâs not worth it . It was the worst hours of my life felt like Iâve come to slums . The celling was covered fabric stapled theirs no Silent there the Music is left on outside and you can hear its great for headaches.

The staff were helpful, the manager was wonderful. He provided a brand new bed when he was made aware of the aggravation of my backpain caused by the initial poor sagging mattress in the room. We felt we couldnât be the first to complain about the mattress. The tortoise was grateful for the lettuce leaf we gave him.
Cons: Not sleeping the first two nights because of the bed. There is no glass in the window so no protection from the noise outside and no curtains to shield the light. We discovered and used another shower outside our room because our own was so small.

Staff were lovely and accommodating. Let us leave our bags early (pre-check in time), arranged an airport taxi, and were accommodating of our room requests. The breakfast was simple but included a really nice bread.
Cons: The room was quirky with low ceilings which is definitely fine, with clean bedsheets. But the bathroom had not been cleaned - the mirrors had toothpaste stains and the sink drained poorly and also had toothpaste stains.

The owner Jawad was reachable on call. Took my calls on most silly questions on the first ring and sent in help. He listens to you with problem solving mindset and helps get solutions. I was not happy with the first room, once I explained him what didn't work out, he immediately switched the place. The garden is beautiful. Marwann the young man who is helping and managing university, drops by on drop of a hat when you call him. Extremely respectful and kind. The helper
Cons: There was construction going on when I went. So the property was a bit dusty. I liked the fact that the interiors were near and clean. The property in general is quite old so the doors and the windows won't shut properly. As in wind would push them open. The windows I left shut would open in the morning. Morocco can be windy.

The entrance to this Riad is just a single doorway nestled amongst several others with the number 71 above it and from there you venture down a long passageway and come across an amazing garden courtyard, I was greeted by the owner and asked to have a seat whist he made me some tea and cheeked me in. Three beds in my room I only used one and the courtyard is a delight to sit in after a busy day exploring, very relaxing and extremely quiet seeing you are in the Medina itself. Staff all very pleasant and easy going.

The riad is very well located at the top of the medina, lots of taxis available nearby plus near to the airport bus stop and within about 30 mins walk of Koutoubia mosque etc. The garden area is lovely and it was great to stay in such an authentic riad. Staff were very helpful and organised airport transfer for the end of my stay.
Cons: The room I was allocated on the ground floor was clean and the bed was very comfortable but is in need of updating. I appreciate that it is a budget option and so was expecting basic facilities. Although the garden area merits a higher rating, I would not put the accommodation at 3 or 4 star status. It was a great place to stay but be prepared for very basic level of furnishings and bathroom if you have the same room.

Honestly it was a bit underwhelming. I booked this stay due to missing my flight so I didn't really look too much into it but if I had to stay longer than the 1 night I did, I'd look elsewhere. Started off with the manager/owner unable to even locate my booking (understandable as I'd only booked an hour ago), but insinuated I wouldn't be staying there tonight, even though I showed him the booking confirmation on my end multiple times. Eventually found it and gave me the spare room on the bottom floor. Room itself has no AC, just a single very bright bulb hanging from the ceiling, and is right next to the office which plays music until 10PM. It was okay to get through just the 1 night I needed, but the breakfast was extremely underwhelming for 3 EUR... When I asked for an omelette my reject was declined, to which I requested a boiled egg, and was told there is no eggs in breakfast, just 0.30 cent bread and a few different spreads. Overall experience was just a bit below average in my opinion, there is significant room for improvement.

I loved this place. The location is great, leaving the Riad you immediately step into a busy street of the old meddina and get to feel the spirit of Marrakech. The room is quite spacious and has a fan, which is rather useful in spring/summer. The host and the staff are incredibly hospitable and helpful, and as a first-time solo female traveller I felt very safe coming back to this place after dark, all thanks to them. Nevertheless, the best feature of the place must be the garden. It's like a peaceful oasis within the always noisy old meddina of Marrakech. The only sound you'll hear are the birds singing and a local cat meowing, and you'll also be able to enjoy some cool after a hot summer day in the city.
Cons: There was no window in the room, however with the fan and the fact that I spent very little time inside the room itself, this wasn't really a problem.

The Riad was very well located in the Medina of Marrakech. The room had an amazing ceiling and the courtyard was lovely. The staff were friendly, but you need to speak French or Arabic. Marrakech is amazing and being in the centre of it was fantastic.
Cons: The WIFI was sometimes hard to connect to. If you're not an experienced traveler or not familiar with Morocco then perhaps stay at a more 'Western' hotel. However, we loved the authentic feel of the place.

This riad is situated in the north west of the medina. It was well situated for visiting the souks, and was about a 20 minute walk to the Koutoubia square. There were several nearby cafes and bakeries. Excursion pickups were straightforward too. The hotel was a good price and it felt very relaxed.

We loved the hotel it was so beautiful as soon as you walk down the steps you walk into a beautiful indoor garden (the pictures do not do the place justice) The host was brilliant as soon as we booked he had messaged me to see if we needed a taxi service from the airport but we didnât need that and he provided his mobile number. The hotel is on a busy little street but inside it was so quite and peaceful There room we booked had 2 single beds and a LARGE double bed which was perfect for me and my little girl and my husband to sleep in (beds all in the same room so you can see the children) There was a roof terrace you could go up chill on the evening and see Marrakesh at night We didnât have the food there as we wanted to try the street food but it was offered
Cons: The room is pretty basic so not really good for children under 1 as I struggled to clean my little ones milk bottles but itâs more of a just come to sleep and head straight out in the morning kind of room but well worth the price of the booking The street itâs on is soooooo busy with mopeds (the whole of Marrakesh rides a moped I think) but they drive quite fast so have to be careful when coming out of the hotel Also itâs not the easiest place to find as there was no signage on the door apart from the number 71 I think, we had to ask locals for the right place so more signage would be Brilliant And better pictures of this amazing riad!! The pictures do not do it justice at all But overall it was an amazing little Riad so beautiful and calm this is nothing for the price of the stay

The Riad is near the center of the medina, in 10 minutes you are in the heart of it. The internal garden is beautiful and the service is on point: there is always a person to take care of you if you need something. They offer airport pick up and drop off (which I recommend). The rooms were big. The only downside is that the beds matresses might be really hard (not all of them) and the room wasn't perfectly cleaned. Overall I recommend it.

Cons: The positive reviews here seem out of place with my experience. Note: My room was on the ground floor. It looked like a glorified interior shed. Not a good sign when the door is locked by a padlock. The door wasn't flush with the floor (chunks missing).

Very nice host but just go to somewhere within the town. Not very clean, extremely basic, very noisy and uncomfortable. If you are planning to go to Marrakesh think again as I do not suggest this place to anybody, it is exhausting to bargain, well bargain is a word for it cause no one listens to you, you just make yourself tired. They charge you anyway and you either ending not buying or just paying the higher price and be unhappy and tired. Always carry a map and careful whom you are talking to as like everything in there you have to pay for talking to locals, asking directions or in couple of weird occasions making eye contact... stay in main city which in every way is safer.

We paid 20 Euro to be taken to the hotel, I suggest you do the same or you won't find it. We had to wait for half an hour before we were picked up. On our arrival the reception by Jawad was fantastic, the staff were also great. But and this is a big but, the hotel is extremely basic. It is situated in the middle of Medina which is a plus. There was no AC in 32 plus temperature it had a fan which was very loud. If you are planning to stay more than a night I suggest choose somewhere outside of the Medina and make sure it meets your basic needs.

The owner and the workers are friendly, we had a problems with our credit cards and the owner helped us to get some money. The riad is nice but a little bit dirty, for the price is fine. As everyone in Marrakesh to have a good price we had to bargain for everything and be really careful to every word, it was exhausting but in the end I think we paid the right price.

The hotel states that there is 24 hour front desk service but the hotel did not open when I arrived at midnight because of the night bus. The gate was locked. No one responsed to the door bell and no one answered the phone calls. All I could do is to standing on the street for over a hour to wait and at last I still could not check in. I had to find another hotel immediately and it was a nightmare.

Old, authentic Riad very close by the Streets of MĂ©dina. The Riad is definitely very beautiful! But it really need some updates: a couple of the Wooden Chairs around one table (in the yard) is almost broken - the legs of the chair is very loose. The bathrooms. The toilet was leaking on the floor in our room and the âpublicâ toilet in the yard was a bit disgusting. Need a clean and should be a bit more modern. The bathroom curtain in our room fell down every day when we showered. No cleaning of the room or emptying the toilet bin with dirty toilet paper. There should be a lid on the toilet bin and the beautiful carpets in the two rooms be slept in really need a clean. That would make a huge difference in appearance. We slept on a couch- but nice and clean sheets. As I said the place is like. Fairytale: beautiful- but old and worn out... thatâs a pity. The breakfast is good and simple: pancakes, white bread, butter, jam, honey and Nutella, mint tea and coffee. Taste good - but would be great if you got some fruit or variations during the week in the food. You can order dinner at the Riad. We tried it a couple of times - tasteful and reasonable prices. The WiFi works - not the fastest - but reasonable. The owner of the Riad is very nice. He speaks both French and English. He is very friendly and helpful! Just ask him and heâll help you arranging tours or directions. We would love to go back - but go get a renovation of the Riad in general - especially the bathrooms and fix the broken stuff.

The riad is lovely and the hosts are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is absolutely delicious! Very well located in Medina, easy to get to anywhere. We had a minor misunderstanding with the room when we arrived, as we had booked one type of room and were given a different kind, but it was sorted quickly. All in all, a positive experience.

Arrived at noon and we were asked to wait 5 minutes and have tea. All three staff members doasaleared for over an hour! We called through the building, knocked on the door, tried calling the hotel and got nothing. Eventually I went searching through the building to find them watching tv. The woman told me that apparently her co-worker (not one of the other 3 people on site) who does the check ins never showed up and I would have to wait. She gave us no indication of this before! She didn't tell us anything about the situation- just left us in the lobby. We were incredibly frustrated! We were in the process of booking another room when they finally let us in- and out of sheer exhaustion from our travel and desperation to get out of the room we took the room. Big mistake. The room was mouldy, musty and damp, one towel was putrid, the other smelled less bad but was covered in stains. The hot water didn't work for a shower in the evening. The room was so cold that we we woke up to dig through our bag for extra layers at night. I put a filter on my Expedia search looking for places with breakfast included, and yet after waiting an hour in the morning we were told that breakfast was not included. This place stinks! They didn't even have a map to give us of the city! So when we finally got out of the riad, we had no idea where to go. None of the staff tried to help us at any point, they hardly even spoke to us. Don't be fooled by the pretty patio, this place is not worth your time
