Riad Asrari is in the very heart of the Medina, which makes it a special experience. Finding it is an adventure, just like parking your car and tranporting your luggage by pushcart to the Riad is quite an experience. The place is very authentic, well decorated and provides all necessary comfort. When style is your measure of quality, the quality/price ratio is much higher than any of the 5-star hotels in Marrakech. The neighborhood has everything from street food, superb coffee, good restaurants and amazing markets.
Cons: Coffee could have been better. The owners would add quality by putting a decent expresso machine on the roof terrace. But that is really the only remark

Breakfast and service of staff was excellent polite friendly and very helpful special thx to all the staff and KHALIL what a brillent helpful young man. Taxi stops on 1 of the main ads you have to walk about 3 to 4 minutes to Riad Asarari . Plenty of local taxi near by and main bus station is approximately 10 to 15 minutes away. Excellent location .The accommodation was clean and tidy our apartment got cleaned every day .Breakfast served at 8am on the balcony where you can taste the fresh air in morning and later around 11am enjoy the beautiful warmth of the Sun.The apartment did not have a TV in room but for me this was not essential as after breakfast theirs too much to go out and see. I would recommend this Riad Asarari to all seeking a private and personal apartment experience. Kr, S.Ahmed
Cons: My only complaint is that there was nothing to complain about. Would recommend to book the Arad Asarari taxi from airport as some local taxi driver may not be able to get you dropped close to the apartment.

I would like to express my greatest admiration not only for Riad Asrari but also for its staff. Two beautiful and smiling girls who were ready at any moment to bring, cook, clean and help us as guests, through the worker Khalid who was extremely kind. Last but most important is the Riada manager, a guy named Sherif. The sheriff made my every idea come true. We were in touch about all excursions and organizations, friendly really if I ever come back to Morocco because of him I come to the same location. When I think of Marrakesh the Sherif's smile is unavoidable when mentioning my trip. All the recommendations and more for this property.

Cons: Alles hat mir gefallen!

Riad looks amazing - from inner court, roof terrace to bedrooms. Beautiful decor, real moroccan vibe. Location is perfect - inside medina with walking distance to most attractions. Very clean. Quiet - perfect place to relax after visiting souks. Simple but very good breakfast. Comfy beds. Small fridge in a bedroom with selection of soft drinks. Amazing people working there - very helpful. We were provided with a medina map and all information what to see, where to eat etc.
Cons: We liked everything

The location is very nice, five-ten mins walk to the Souks and about 20 mins walk to the Koutoubia mosque and Jemaa el-Fnaa square. The staff were very friendly and nice. It is very peaceful, perfect after a busy, hot day out.
Cons: Me personally found the pillows a bit uncomfy, the fragrance sticks are a bit too much, adding very intrusive scent in the room. You don't have a key for the main entrance and have to wait a bit longer outside if there is no one at reception, which I found quite inconvenient. The breakfast is rather sparse, yet enough to keep you full for a while.

Beautiful and classic riad in an ideal location that was close to everything you need by walking but in a much quieter area than the busy medina. Rooms had a mix of traditional and modern.
Cons: I like to eat dinner in my riad, it’s always relaxed and quiet after the bustle of Marrakech in the day. I ordered a Tagine. It was a fresh tagine but sadly pre-prepared and then microwaved!!!! That is a complete no for me. Breakfast was very average, especially for a riad. Disappointing. The riad lacked a ‘home’ feel which is the USP of a riad 🤷🏻♂️

Room was clean, and unique architecture. The bed was super comfortable.
Cons: Some of the staff were not welcoming. Breakfast was basic and misleading in the advert, and at the price point it’s not acceptable. The hot tub was not in use or and we were discouraged for even asking. No iron or steamer. Hot water was luke warm, and two tiny bottles of water in room with no option to pay for more, with no shops open at night to purchase.couldn’t gain access to hotel without knocking and waiting in dark smelly alley until staff came to open the door.

The riad is quite nice -- well decorated with a nice breakfast served on the roof terrace under tent cover which was welcomed during the February chilling morninga. We stayed in the India room with 3 twin beds that had a lovely attached bath. The water was warm for the shower which was very appreciated. The staff were nice and caring when we encountered safety issues in the Medina.
Cons: The India room was quite "cozy" for 3 people and 3 pieces of carry-on luggage. The neighborhood was quiet but required a 20min walk from the central square which was troubling and less safe late at night. DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE SOUKS after they close (even though google maps guided us this way). Please keep this in mind when booking. We encountered safety issues (attempted mugging from a motorcyclist) but this is NO FAULT of the Riad. But bear in mind that you should NOT be walking from the central square after 9:30pm.

The Riad was gorgeous. An oasis in the middle of the loud craziness that is the souks of Marrakesh

The rooms and the Riat are generally well furnished and nice designed. The location is right in the media and great as well.
Cons: The management is not about hospitality. The guest is the enemy in an hostile environment.. From the beginning I felt as if I did something wrong. Rules, everywhere. To the point that you are not allowed to put towels on the floor of the bathroom! Remote control for the AC only on request at the reception. We couldn't buy a bottle of water at night and had to go to a kiosk close by.

Cool and peaceful and attractively decorated, with a lovely sun terrace. Very well located in La Medina, tucked away in a quiet backstreet near the main markets. Great area - touristy but with some authenticity. Breakfast at the Riad is ok but more fun in the markets. Helpful staff.
Cons: Access into the front entrance meant knocking and sometimes waiting, and waiting… but for security reasons, I guess. Independent access, perhaps via a keypad, would be preferred.

The decoration was completely beautiful - it was picture perfect, from the rooftop for breakfast to the individual rooms. Our room was exceptionally clean as well and a welcome oasis of calm in the medina. It was also really close to the souks (markets) which meant we could walk most places.
Cons: - Two main things - on booking.com it says the riad has a restaurant, but it doesn't, it has food that you might be able to order which nobody told us about. There is also no swimming pool as advertised, only a small hot tub which we were also not informed about. Booking.com were kind enough to see that we had made valid points about this and refunded us quite a lot of our money back after the riad refused. - The riad is nice but is more like a B&B service or 2* hostel than 4* hotel for numerous reasons. Some basic things are missing such as when we asked for a map (there wasn't one available) and when we asked to book a tuk-tuk or taxi so we could head out further in the evenings, we were turned down twice. As it's like a maze in Marrakesh, both of these are really important for getting around, particularly as females travelling alone - as safe as it feels, the hotel is down some entirely secluded back streets were there are no other tourists and it's quite unnerving in the evening. Luckily restaurants were able to book us tuk-tuks on the way back to the riad but it would've been nice to have that kind of assistance here. - You're not allowed to bring any snacks into your room - this seems obscenely strict for a hotel as it's not somebody's house, we had to sit upstairs on the terrace the eve it was raining to eat some crisps we had bought from a shop - Whilst there's never any expectation that someone can speak the same language as you, the night porter really struggled to understand any of our questions (can you help us book a taxi? where is the nearest restaurant? Is there an iron in the riad?) and even with google translate, we found most of the answers were a no. He was lovely but a lot of the time couldn't help. - Excursions were more expensive - I'd recommend getyourguide for wider varied / flexible choice - The wifi was terrible - out of the 4 day stay, only 2 days did any of the devices have wifi

The setting was quiet and there were no other guests here during my stay. The folklore is decorated in a very Moroccan, or Arabic, style.
Cons: My friend and I stayed here for two nights and our booking included breakfast. The first day of the stay was great but things turned very bad on the second day. We booked a tour on the third day and the driver contacted me to say he needed to pick me up from the hotel at 7.30am and that the pick up time could not be adjusted due to the tour's itinerary. So I spoke to the hotel staff about the possibility of moving up the breakfast time (from 8am to 7am) and a female staff member agreed to my request. However, half an hour later a male staff member knocked on our door and said that although he would be happy to move up the breakfast time for us, he unfortunately could not make this decision, explaining that it was due to the rules on booking. I explained my situation to him sincerely and he called the owner of the hotel to report the matter, but did not agree. My friend then took the call from the male employee and explained to the lady owner personally that we were willing to pay extra for this breakfast which was already included in the rate we had paid for and that we were the only guests. Unfortunately, the lady boss had agreed to our request but a male voice on the phone suddenly appeared and firmly refused our request. We then asked for the possibility of compensation for the unavailable breakfast, but became very agitated and rude to the other party. I then took over the phone to calm them down, but was rudely hung up on them straight away. Throughout this process my friend and I were polite and respectful, but I was very sad to be treated like this by the hotel owner, and this incident affected our whole trip to Morocco, although since then the hotels have been very friendly and many have been able to serve breakfast at 7am, or even 6:30am! All in all, based on my unfortunate experience, I would not recommend this hotel very highly, although the environment and staff were very nice, the rude owner ruined it all.

Location: The place itself is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located in the centre of the MEDINA. It’s only a 10min walk to the souks. ROOMS: We had the Indian room and were blown away by how gorgeous and well decorated it is! So many little details and little amenities. Room was cleaned every day. Cleanliness: spotless! Staff: both Florence and Nicolas, the owners, were super helpful during our stay and recommended us restaurants, things to do in Marrakesh and even booked some things for us. Youssef and Khadija were also super nice, always ready to help out with anything we needed. Breakfast: we personally loved it! It had both Moroccan specialties and European options, and was served on their beautiful terrace. Definitely was the highlight of our mornings! Overall, couldn’t recommend it more, we will be coming back for sure and are already missing it :)

Good location. Located in the Medina and has good access. Quiet and safe neighbourhood.
Cons: The property has no restaurant despite being adverstised. The breakfast is below average. The only option is to have boiled eggs and they're served cold. There are not many options for other things too. It's basically bread, butter and jam for €7. You can find much better options within a 5 min walk. Strongly suggest to avoid breakfast. Rooms areok but on the smaller side. There are basically no amenities. For the price you pay, you only get the rooms. Not even water is provided daily. If you get it from the host, then they charge you more than 3x the price for which you can find it basically in a shop next door. The host is rude and when we suggested they could at least provide a small bottle of water every day, she responded with an obnoxious reply. Our advice is to skip this place and find better options. No value for money.

The Riad is owned by the nicest people, Florence and Nicholas! As soon as we walked in they made us feel at home. They made our trip very easy by guiding us and providing us services like transportation to Casablanca and other tours. The Riad is very nice and clean. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. the location of the Riad is just perfect. it is not right in the middle of the busy and noisy alleys instead it is at a perfect walking proximity to the souk and it still is inside the Medina. if you like a quiet Riad with a nice terrace and great hospitality then I strongly recommend the Riad Asrari. i also need to mention that the staff is just wonderful and kind. I will definitely go back soon! Merci Florence et Nicholas!

Riad Asrari was a beautiful oasis from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. We were warmly welcomed after booking a different riad that didn't meet our expectations. Asrari was clean, open and comfortable. The staff was beyond friendly and exceeded our expectations The room we stayed in was spacious and inviting. Bonus points for the super comfortable bed that allowed us to have a wonderful night's rest. Breakfast on the roof was an extra special touch!

A beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable riad with very friendly staff in a quiet part of the medina and only a 5-10 minute walk from the souks. The beds were very comfortable with quality linen and towels. I really appreciated the detailing of the interiors - mosaic tiled floors, beautiful lighting, cornicing and ceiling mouldings, pictures, embroideries etc - it was rather like staying in a mini palace. It was extremely clean and no sound at night, only the birds singing in the mornings. The bathroom was equally well fitted out and very clean. Breakfast was taken on the terrace served by a very friendly and polite young man who was also on duty at reception out of hours. Florence and her husband were really helpful recommending places to go.
Cons: An early breakfast on departure day would have been a welcome touch. The beds were quite narrow (but very comfortable). There didn't seem to be wifi here, luckily we had purchased a Moroccan sim card at the airport.

Florence goes beyond being helpful, has a very kind heart, traditional breakfast bread, jam eggs etc Spotlessly clean and a real comfortable bed If we’re back in Marrakesh we’d return here
Cons: Situated in a real side street, could be a little intimidating for ladies

The Riad is very close to the citycentre. You can walk to all sights by foot. Florence and Nikolas are very friendly and answer all your questions. You have breakfast on the rooftop! The rooms are very beautiful decorated and are equipped with everything you need.

We stayed in the suite. It was spacious, super comfortable bed, the towels smelled fantastic but unfortunately the sewer system is right under this bathroom and gets smelly once you shower, take a bath, flush the toilet or open the faucet. The decor is cool and comfortable. They offer breakfast and you can tell that the owners really try their best. The property is good standing and well taken care of. Location is fine and the pictures really portray what the property looks like.
Cons: Although the owners try their best, the woman is too micromanaging and super inquisitive in her questions. We didn’t feel at a hotel or fully comfortable. We felt as if we were staying at someone else’s home and we were bothering them. We were not able to order food and eat in the room because of the possibility of ruining their bed sheets/furniture. The suite did not have a tv, coffee machine, or kettle. The hair dryer was old and could barely work. I used it for new year’s and only one setting was slightly functioning. The bed although comfortable was on the small side. There was limited intimacy because the windows let all the noise through, they have shutters but once you open them everyone can see you. The sewer smell was really disgusting, specially if you are paying to stay at the suite, this is unacceptable. At the end when we were leaving our Moroccan driver was told to stand back and wait outside for us when he was only trying to help with our luggage. He felt really mistreated and we felt bad for him. The woman also asked us to please give her a 9 or 10 review which we did not appreciate. Totally inappropriate. There is no pool as stated here, no room service and breakfast was very limited.

The Riad was clean and comfortable with a lovely breakfast served on the roof terrace.
Cons: The wi-fi was unreliable and cut in and out when it did work- we were told to that it was better in one corner of the Riad but this was not close to our room. The Riad is advertised with a number of facilities which it does not have. There is no outdoor swimming pool (in the summer a small pop up pool is put on the terrace- you would not be able to swim in this but perhaps dip you feet). Room service is not available and in fact you are not allowed to consume any food in the rooms. Bottled water is provided but no glasses nor a kettle to make tea. There is no bar. Although a spa and wellness centre is advertised this is not on site- a number of hammams are close by but not at the Riad. The airport shuttle which picked us up from the airport was a very old, small taxi and not suitable for 3 adults with luggage. I wouldn't have minded this if it was a standard price but the Riad charged 25Euros (each way) which had to be paid in cash.

We LOVED our stay at Riad Asrari. It is the perfect stay for a trip to Marrakech. It is located down a lovely safe side street which meant we could hear the birds singing in the morning and avoid the noise from the chaos of the Main Street but still being close to everywhere. The perfect location. You can walk everywhere! We got an airport transfer booked with Florence, the owner, and we were so glad we did as the taxis will drop you a distance from the Riad but our transfer meant the driver walked us directly to the door. It gave us great peace of mind. The owner, Florence and her husband were such wonderful people and ensured everything was perfect for our stay. The room was spotlessly clean with everything you needed - heater/air con/ hairdryer/shampoo/shower gel/body lotion and the decor was something special. The decor was out of this world, the attention to detail was lovely to see. We took a lot of photos of our room!!! There is also a fab roof terrace which is so relaxing. The breakfast! WOW. We moved on to another accommodation after Riad Asrari and we still talk about our special breakfast there made with such love. Florence was awaiting us each morning with a smile and presented the plate of traditional Moroccan breads/pancakes/sweet cake, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, the freshest juice, and our favourite, a beautiful pot of mint tea. The setting on the roof in the fab Moroccan tent was the perfect setting. We also have to mention our day trip to Ourika Valley organised by Florence. It was our favourite day in Marrakech. Florence can organise any trip you need but we loved Ourika. Our driver was so nice and found us our tagine pot on the side of the road along with stops anywhere for photos. It is a stunning location and walk up to the waterfall. Lunch on the river was AMAZING!!! Florence explained all the trips in such detail and she booked the trip for us the night before at short notice.
Cons: Nothing, it has everything you could ask for!

The property is beautiful, there has quite clearly been a lot of thought behind making the rooms and communal areas wonderfully pleasing to their guests. We had been upgraded to the suite which was incredible! There was super king sized bed, authentic Moroccan furniture with windows overlooking the courtyard. The en-suite was also lovely, felt very luxurious with roll top bath and nice shower.
Cons: On booking. com it says there is a pool, but we didn’t see it neither were we directed to it by Florence when we arrived. One to mention next time? The breakfast was a little sad. It comprised of a yogurt (but one of the days we were missing yoghurt), a muffin and a piece of fruit plus tea or coffee. Felt like it would be nice to have another hot option for example eggs? Florence and her husband have been welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. This riad is more of a European approach as Florence is French and her husband Belgian, which we enjoyed but is something to consider when booking. We found Florence a little hectic when it came to communication but that might just be a personality thing! Would have preferred a pay by card option vs cash. Feels a little old school.

The water was hot and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly.
Cons: Having been touring around Morocco for the week we treated ourselves on our final night in the country to the most expensive place we had stayed at. We were disappointed. The room was by far the smallest we had stayed in and im afraid the breakfast was poor. We have stayed in Marrakesh before and felt this riad was more concerned about decoration than hospitality. Sorry but i expected much more for the price.

We had a wonderful stay. The hospitality is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was great I would arrange a taxi from the airport using the Riad as it is down a side street and this means you have no stress. The area is very safe with a number of really good restaurants nearby. It is an easy walk into the central square, either through the maze of streets making up the souk or by a main road. The constant smiles and advice from the staff was very welcome and we will stay here again on our next visit.

Everything was perfect. The Riad is very clean and quiet (even if it is located in Medina). Florence and Niko are the best host. Very kind and helpful they made us part of the family. The location it is very good, near the souks, Jardine Majorelle and taxi stations. If we go back to Marrakech we will certainly go back there

Florence and Nicholas are fantastic hosts; friendly helpful and really care about making their riad comfortable clean homely and our stay great. The location is perfect for the full Marrakech experience as it’s inside the Medina and minutes walk from main square and souks. importantly though the riad is quiet and a little oasis of calm. I enjoyed the breakfast on the roof terrace. Florence arranged taxis at great prices whenever we needed them. I felt really safe here on my own too.
Cons: NOTHING to dislike. Florence and Nicholas have great plans for the riad that will only make it even better over time

Super friendly stuff, relaxed and quite environment although it is in Medina. New riad that is decorated with taste and care to details, very clean and taken care of. Can gladly recommend it to anyone! We enjoyed our stay!
Cons: If I really, really have to complain, then the only matter would be sound. If you let the windows open and someone is staying late on the terrace, you can hear a conversation.
