We stayed 9 nights. Great hospitality, very clean, and breakfast always fresh and good (fresh OJ, coffee, fruit, yogurt, breads, eggs). Had one dinner there which was excellent. As the Riad is located in an 'alley' where cars can't drive, the mgr met us on the closest street to escort us. They also arranged a car to take us from the airport when we arrived. Wifi not the greatest but could be our room location; hotspot to our cell phones when reception wasn't great. Very wonderful stay.
Cons: Everything was excellent.

Riad Sashema is a beautiful oasis in Marrakesh, close to everything but not in the heart of the Medina & Souks. A lovely courtyard and plunge pool greet you as you enter and the bedrooms, set over a few floors, are also wonderful. Location was perfect for us - a short walk back to a Main Street where it is easy to get a taxi, and easy to navigate back to as you're right by the hospital! Breakfast each morning was fresh and plentiful, and in a room where a roaring fire kept us warm on the cool mornings (it was end of November). The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. The views from the rooftop were fab. Staff were all friendly and helpful and arranged transfers, trips and tours for us. We took a tour of the Medina with a guide arranged by them (from the tourist board) and he was great - he was hugely informative but also meant we got our bearings and felt more confident going to the Medina alone the next day (for some retail therapy!). As an aside, as a group of women, we felt really safe in Marrakesh, had a wonderful time and would definitely return!
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like - worth noting there is no bar any more (not an issue for us as we were out and about a lot anyway, but useful to know) and also in our room there were only mirrors in the bathroom and, it was quite dark to do hair and make up there so we often went up to the roof terrace to get more light! But a mirror in the bedroom as well as the bathroom would be a great help!

Beautiful Arabic architecture. Very clean. Only 10 minute walk to the madness of the main square, yet Riad was so quiet. Friendly helpful staff - Abdu and Abdul.

The Riad is located right next to the Medina, within close walking distance to all attractions. The staff were so friendly and helped with any enquiries. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. The rooftop area is nice
Cons: The room was lovely, the only points would be that the tap didnt quite run into the sink so overflowed onto the counter each time, the aircon wasn't super cold and it would have been nice to have an area to make tea/coffee in the room. We went to the rooftop a few times but the 'bar' didnt seem open and there was no menu for this / snacks / meals etc. These are all minor points as overall we had a lovely stay. One thing to note is the Riad is at the end of a dead end and is quite intimidating to come to the first few times. There are taxi's waiting at the end of the street as there are a lot of riads down this path.

Ma première expérience dans un Riad , j’ai adoré l’accueil, l’ambiance et l’emplacement. La chambre splendide et le toit bien aménagé! Je personnel très sympathique et accueillant! Breakfast was good decor was ok and clean
Cons: Room was far smaller than advertised and looked quite different also I found the noises and loud talking by cook to a new guest in the open area at 7am on a Sunday disturbing my sleep then strangely the cook asked me not to whistle as I left the Riad at 11am as that same guest was now asleep?! Bizarre. Also it’s in a strange part of the town so a bit farther to get into Jmaa Fna square than I am used to I prefer to be in the centre with other better located Riad’s for less money.

This Riad is an amazing choice for your stay in Marrakech. Rooms are spacious and clean, well equipped. The Riad itself is beautiful, with a swimming pool and nice terrace. A Truly Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! Our stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile – truly going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The entire property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. Every detail, from the fresh linens to the relaxing atmosphere, made it feel like a home away from home. Breakfast was another highlight – delicious, varied, and served with care. We especially appreciated the attention to quality and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Everything about the riad– the service, the cleanliness, the location, and the overall atmosphere – exceeded our expectations. It’s rare to find a place that combines professionalism withsuch genuine hospitality.

Road Sasheema is a very beautiful Riad in centre of the Medina in old town Marrakech. Surrounded by culture. On initial approach from the outside, it's impossible to tell what the inside looks like. Every time we walked in the front door you're presented with the most amazing aroma. The Riad was clean, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the local areas. The gave some brilliant advice about how much to expect to pay for taxis to certain destinations. The breakfast which is included was delicious and consisted of pancakes, freshly baked Moroccan bread, cake, coffee, Moroccan tea which is amazing, honey, marmalade, Jam and yoghurt. The perfect size breakfast to start the day. The toiletries which were included had the most amazing smell and were obviously luxurious and also available to buy from reception if required. We only knew this because we asked by the way, there was certainly no sales pitch or pressure from the staff.
Cons: There was a small leak on the bathroom sink which meant the bathroom counter had a constant small puddle of water but it didn't effect our stay at all.

Sashema is an absolute gem. I was looking for a riad with charm, authenticity, and plenty of natural light—something that felt inviting rather than dark and heavy, as many others seemed in photos. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I had made the right choice. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, and the common areas are a delight to spend time in. The location is fantastic—within walking distance of many attractions, yet conveniently close to taxi pick-up points. The neighborhood itself is safe and pleasant, though, if it’s your first time in Marrakech, you might not feel that, at first. Breakfast was a highlight—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The ladies in the kitchen even went out of their way to prepare omelets for us, despite them not being on the usual menu. But beyond the beauty of the place, what truly made our stay special were the people. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff were beyond expectations—Moroccan hospitality is truly a thing. A heartfelt thank you to Abdul for making our time here so memorable!
Cons: We would have liked some vegetables with our breakfast, but that might just be a matter of preference.

We had the pleasure to stay at Riad Sashema in October 2024. The location was perfect, right around the corner from the royal palace. All the main tourist attractions are no more than a 10-20 minute walk away making it the perfect location. The rooms were clean and the breakfast selection was small, yet fresh and delicious. The staff were super friendly and were happy to help whenever we had any questions. We highly recommend this riad.

Great riad with amazing staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marrakesh for three days. The riad is in a quiter area but still close enough to the madina. The highlights were the staff. Mohammad, AbdurRahman, and manager were all amazing. The airport was super busy and caused us to check in very late. Mohammad went out of his way to accommodate us. Very helpful. The other highlight of this riad was the food! Wow. The breakfast is great but we opted to order dinner our last night. Fatiha cooked us the best meal we had our entire stay. We tried a lot of different places including royal Mansour, La mamounia, local hole in the wall places, but the food cooked by Fatiha was amazing.

From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome in the beautiful riad. Even prior to arriving, Delphine, the owner was so helpful and had many good recommendations for our trip. The breakfast was amazing and everything was homemade by their chef - fresh yoghurt and fruit, with homemade breads and eggs, cakes made daily and fresh orange juice. We also opted to have dinner at the Riad one evening which was exceptional and I would definitely recommend! We actually had an entire rooftop to ourselves for this romantic dinner, by chance, and the food was honestly so special. The team here really do the most to make you feel comfortable and at home. From booking us airport pick ups, a visit to the best hammam to giving us tips on the area. I would recommend this for a chilled and calm break. It is small and has a homely feeling so if that’s what you like, it’s great. The location is also good as you are close to the centre but away from the direct hussle and bussle. Thank you all again and hope to visit in the future.
Cons: I don’t think there’s anything that I would change about the Riad. Anything you need, the team are very helpful.

It has been my third time repeating in this riad. I have always found it great but this last time I noticed that they have improved even more. Beautiful, clean, and great location. The all staff is the best ( I have stayed in many riads in Morocco ) , very attentive in every detail, the offer you tea, help you with your luggage and anything else. Mohamed is to be highlighted for his education, kindness, respect and sympathy. In addition he has perfect English, he is very resolving and knows perfectly how to detect the needs of the client. The breakfast was great and the terrace now that it was not so hot was great. We had 3 rooms and all of them were great.

Quiet and clean.
Cons: A few words on the breakfast which seems to be praised in many reviews: You certainly need to have a pronounced sweet tooth. It's cake, crepes, jam and muesli. Portion sizes are microscopic: The muesli comes in a shot glass, i.e. 4cl volume. If you are travelling with a toddler daughter, she will love it. As adults, we found it a bit strange. Also noteworthy that there's no TV. We found it unusual in this price class.

I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the dinner service but I imagine it would also be excellent. Beautiful lounge and rooftop area if you need to get a bit of work done.
Cons: My room was on the main floor. If you like to sleep in perhaps bring ear plugs as you might hear a few people at breakfast.

Cons: The WiFi is a joke.. never worked in my room. Reported to the owner but he said he “NEVER”heard of this issue. I was so shocked when I was asked to pay extra to cover the currency exchange difference between the day I booked and the day I checked out, even though I had paid full price during the reservation. The location is not that ideal, you need to walk ~20mins and cross six the busy streets filling all cars and crazy motorcycles to get to the old town. And there’re no traffic lights! Very scary…

Upon check-in we were greeted with Tea while our host walked us through a detailed map of Marrakesh with recommendations called out (we followed it religiously). The space itself was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Huge shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond helping us with laundry services, recommendations, and reservations.
Cons: Nothing to report here

Beautiful building. Very comfortable and exceptional staff. We were there at the time of the earthquake - the staff all had their own problems to deal with but still looked after us.

Beautiful riad in a fab location in the Medina. Close to the Koutoubia and the Jemna El Fna square among other attractions. Luxurious feel in the rooms and rooftop terrace. Staff were amazing and we're always on call if we needed anything at any time of day or night. Gave us some great recommendations of restaurants and things to see.

Riad was beautiful and well looked after, staff was friendly and location was very convenient to explore both old city by foot and a short taxi ride to the new city.
Cons: Riad doesn't have clear 'name' sign so it took us a little wondering around to find it, especially as we have arrived quite late at night.

Wonderful reception at a very late hour. The dinner we ordered was superb. We had two small children in our group, but nothing frazzled the staff. Quiet area, comfortable bedrooms, and exceptional staff.

Amazingly helpful staff! Very pretty decor & lovely roof top for relaxing!
Cons: The pool was cold at all times, I didn’t know that you could request for this to be heated for use. The Wifi was very poor. Expensive for what it was.

Nice looking building with excellent local staff who were really helpful and kind. Location is good, walking distance to ''everywhere''. The in-house dinner on request was beautifully cooked and worth to have, we should have done it twice ! The rooftop sitting area is perfect and a welcome respite each afternoon.
Cons: Internet pretty spotty, room maintenance a bit shoddy...(leaking taps, sticking door, etc).

The Riad was aesthetically pleasing and very clean. After a long day out in the Medina it was always refreshing getting back to our Riad. It was always fresh and comfortable to lounge in the courtyard. The staff was great! very helpful accommodating our needs. They really went above and beyond for us and we are very grateful for all their help and kindness.

Riad Sashema is an oasis of calm, elegance and hospitality. Their communication and coordination prior to arrival was excellent, and it made getting in an absolute breeze. Once there, they could not have been more hospitable with top notch service -- the most delicious tea, breads, breakfast, coordinating of day trips, tour guides, etc. and a stunning rooftop lounge and bar. We deeply appreciated all of the attention to detail and warmth and would highly recommend Riad Sashema to any traveler in Marrakech!
Cons: Nothing!

the rooftop bar was great to relax after visiting the city. the room was comfy and big enough. breakfast was also really good!
Cons: parking spot was a little bit difficult as the ‘guardian’ (person that is paid already and doesn’t make part of the riad!) requested more money. but the person at the reception handled it very well!

The staff were amazing! Very helpful, provided us with info, flagged down taxis and gave advice on how much we should haggle to avoid being ripped off. The riad is located in the king’s palace area so security is guaranteed. I felt safe walking after dark, even alone as a female. The breakfast was delicious. I loved how authentic te decor and ambience is. I wanted to experience the Moroccan culture and it exceeded my expectations. I’d stay here again and again, I highly recommend it!
Cons: Everything was great.

An amazing experience! Delphine and her team were like an extended family to us, kind, welcoming and helped with anything we needed. The villa is beautifully decorated with a spacious rooftop terrace/bar where we enjoyed our dinner in the evening. And please do sign up for dinner, they offer a different dish every day, the food is fresh, local and and immensely delicious.
