La ubicación es genial! Está a 5 minutos caminando de la playa, en la esquina hay un 7 eleven, restaurantes, tiendas de tour y arriendo de motos. El restaurante donde sirven el desayuno (básico, debes elegir un menú, no es buffet) también sirve almuerzos y cenas, no es el mejor pero es económico y contundente, aunque el personal no era muy agradable (como todos en Tailandia 😅). La habitación era amplia, eso me gustó mucho, además era muy limpia, me alojé 3 noches y todos los días hicieron cambios de toallas y limpieza.
Cons: Es un alojamiento básico, el personal nos trato excelente porque veníamos de luna de miel y nos recibieron muy bien, pero la cama y las almohadas muy duras (como todas en Tailandia la vdd). Nos tocó una habitación muy calurosa, por lo mismo, tuvimos el aire acondicionado prendido toda la noche y al día siguiente dejó de funcionar. No nos pudieron cambiar de habitación, nos prestaron un ventilador pero llamaron al técnico enseguida para arreglarlo (menos mal se pudo). No fue una mala estadía, pero es un hotel básico, económico, justo para un par de días solamente.

Struttura in ottima posizione a metà tra kata noi e kata beach. Lo staff era super gentile e disponibile, i thailandesi sono un popolo eccezionale. Il ristorante della struttura é BUONISSIMO, abbiamo mangiato il migliore pad see ew e pad Thai. Ti danno anche uno sconto sia per ristorante che per il centro massaggi. Assolutamente consigliato!

Cons: ❌ Internet didn't work properly ❌ Charging outlets for cell phones weren't very accessible/too far from the bed ❌ Problematic/defective shower: there are two showerheads and one dispenses cold water while the other dispenses hot water ❌ I heard construction noise on the floor above mine at 8:30 PM, they were banging something in the room. ❌ Bad air conditioning: takes ages to work and is very noisy. ❌ Breakfast and services really poor: I asked for a bit of drinking water on my first day, since they only left one bottle in my room and we need a lot of drinking water here, I asked them in the restaurant (where they serve breakfast for the “hotel”) and they refused me, refusing to give me free drinking water. In a nice touch, where we know all the hotels give it for free (: And breakfast is served as a "menu" and it's a small portion. ❌The pool is only open until 6 PM. WTF??? We're on vacation in a place where the sun sets at 6 PM (when I went) and obviously people are leaving the beach later because we're on vacation. It doesn't make sense to close the pool so early.

Отличное расположение - чуть в стороне от шумной центральной дороги, но достаточно близко к морю. Прямо у выхода из отеля нормальный не загруженный 7/11. У нас был вид на пустырь и гору, ночью тихо. Уборка каждый день, по 2-3 бутылки воды, полотенца меняют каждый день. В отличии от всех описаний, отзывов и даже таблички на ресепшн нам дали пляжные полотенца, да ещё и меняли их через день. Бассейн номинальный, холодный, немного пахнет хлоркой (что скорее плюс - химию применяют), всего 4 лежака, всё время в тени. С другой стороны - отличное место для сгоревших. И кожу остудить и на лежаке без солнца полежать.
Cons: Отель уставший, пока не прогонишь кондиционер и воздух аромат в номере затхлый. Матрасы жёсткие, подушки высокие, но мы быстро привыкли. На балконе есть небольшая сушка на 3 полотенца. Завтраки так себе, закинуть калорий хватит, не более. Один день подали плесневелый хлеб, отрезав корочки, но хорошо что осталось немного и заметили. Почему-то каждый вечер ресторан забит, но нам не понравилось, половину заказа забыли, рыбу пережарили.

Cons: Der Aufenthalt war leider nicht angenehm. Im zweiten Stock konnte ich kaum schlafen, da der Ventilator auf dem Dach sehr laut war, besonders nachts. Ich habe daraufhin das Zimmer gewechselt, aber das andere Zimmer war stark von Schimmel betroffen. Das war für mich nicht akzeptabel. Insgesamt daher keine gute Erfahrung. Schade, denn so etwas sollte in einem Hotel nicht vorkommen.

Расположение отеля хорошее, 8 минут до пляжа Ката. В номерах ежедневная уборка, белоснежные полотенца, постельное меняли дважды за семь дней, вода в номере бесплатно, есть полотенца для бассейна. Cleaners make this hotel what it is, super clean throughout, and they work all day!! Staff are more than happy to help and very accommodating. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing, the only real noise you get is passing traffic, which isn't too bad af all. It's in a good location, 5 min from all the hustle and bustle, 7/11 right next door if upu need any late night pick me ups, and dome great small local restaurants within metres of the property.
Cons: There's not really much I can say that I didn't like. Maybe one thing I could add is that maybe the breakfast menu could do with a slight update. Evening meals, thai food, for the price is really really good!!! Apart from that, a clean, comfy, 3 star hotel that exceeded expectations. Will definitely stay again.

Tiene excelente ubicación, a pasos de la playa y el comercio. El personal es muy amable, me atendieron solo mujeres y su disposición y amabilidad es algo que valore mucho. También todo estaba muy limpio, cambio de toallas a diario y buen aseo. Tienen varias opciones de desayuno bastante buenas.
Cons: Es un hotel de paso, para estar pocos días y salir todo el día. Sus instalaciones están deterioradas y se nota que las van arreglando de a poco. Tiene 3 pisos sin ascensor, por lo que siempre es necesario pedir ayuda para las maletas. Aunque insisto que la disposición y amabilidad del personal es muy bueno.

I really enjoyed my stay at Melissa Kata Beach Resort! Everything was great — the staff were super friendly and helpful, the location was perfect, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only small downside was the bathroom setup — there wasn’t any space to put my things in the shower or around the sink. I had to keep some items on the floor, and there were no cups near the sink for my toothbrush or space for my skincare products. Other than that, it was an excellent stay, and I’d definitely come back!

For the price, this place is great. Simple, well located, with a hot shower, pool, and breakfast included. It’s a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. We were upgraded to a quieter room away from the road, which had a better view and less noise so this was a nice touch.

Booked in the low season for a food price. It was quiet despite being in Kata. The room was clean. The staff were very nice. The location was good. 7-11 right in front of the hotel. Laundromats, bars and restaurants nearby.
Cons: Older furniture didn’t bother me, but it did give off the specific smell. Weird that there were no chairs for the balcony. Are near the AC might have been a little moldy. I did not check the pool.

Location was good because it was close to everything but another hand there was so much very noisy traffic. Luckily we got upgraded by hotel to the room which was faced to the mountain where we saw The Big Buddha. Breakfast which was included to our booking was good too. Young lady who was working in restaurant was very nice and friendly. Room was big and so was the bed . Two pillows per person would be more comfortable, now it’s only one :)
Cons: Cleaning wasn’t what you maybe assume to be, it’s only changing the towels, make the bed , bring the water bottles/toilet paper and take the trash out. Shower room wasn’t never cleaned and floor was dirty too. In bathroom should be more hangers or space where to keep towels for hang and dry. We had nice balcony in our room but there isn’t any chairs or table , just empty space which was sad because that would be cool to spend time in balcony too. The pool is quite small which is fine but there was only few sunbeds without any mattresses or cover, just hard plastic it’s not comfortable spend time there.

Cons: Laud A/C it doesn't matter what you setup it can be on or off - if on it will decrease temperature to about 25'C and that's it, bathroom - shower with rust and dark mold... 2nd day I also found massive cockroach breakfast is 1 dish of 8 to choose - its quite tasty but have nothing to do to what is presented on pictures - I would say ~30% of what is advertised on pictures in menu... now I would book room without breakfast and eat outside room is located on ground floor next to the swimming pool but curtains doesn't cover all windows = anyone can see inside of the room - the only solution are drapes As guest I should have 10% discpunt on services like food or massage - but I had to pay 100% for the massage even though lady came to take me from my room (ok I didn't remind her about discount but still...)

Great stay at Melissa Kata Beach Resort! The location is ideal—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by many restaurants. My room was quiet and peaceful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s also convenient bike parking.
Cons: The only downside is there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs. Personally, I enjoyed it as an extra bit of exercise! So you might enjoy it as well!

Friendly staff, and it seems they are near the end of doing a complete repaint of all the rooms. Luckily, I like the smell of paint and stain, so it was actually quite calming for me. Good view of the back off Big bhuddas head. And you cam see the damage caused by the recent landslide.
Cons: The stairs are typical thai stairs where the top and bottom.step are slightly different height than the rest and slightly steeper than the standard western style stairs. Also the light switches are a bit back to front and a small challenge to get the one on that you want on or finding the toilet one a 2am. You also have to check that the toilet flush button goes all the way back up or toilet keeps running.

She gave me the wrong breakfast. But she got angry with me and then changed it back to the correct breakfast as I ordered.
Cons: The paint smell in the room was quite strong. The toilet was clogged but was cleared later No elevator The breakfast waiter should have a better attitude instead of being angry. I have her picture below

Not super far from the beach, the pool is not super big but it's well kept and a nice addition, the rooms were clean, modern comfortable, the staff would leave fresh bottles of water daily when cleaning the room, the staff in the reception and restaurant were nice and they attended to our request to have rooms that were next to each other
Cons: An elevator would be nice (although the hotel only has 3 floors including the ground floor), the mattresses are a bit on the harder side (still quite comfortable), a few touchups here and there would be appreciated (a fresh coat of paint or a bit of fixer uppering in a few places but nothing major). Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast options (too western for my personal taste) but the amount of food offered was satisfying enough

The location is super good literally walking distance from the beach and the main part of kata with food cafes shopping etc. Seven eleven is right outside too. Perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Melissa. It's a very clean place with attentive staff who are always ready to help. The location is excellent, close to a 7-Eleven, on a quiet street that's within easy walking distance to the main street. I had a small issue when I left some clothes in one of the drawers. Fortunately, the owner was very kind and sent them to my next destination at no cost. A gesture I truly appreciated! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and worry-free stay.

Great value for the money. Very nice staff. Solid breakfast. Good location. Basic room i rented was perfectly clean and well equipped. Hair dryer, toiletries, water, coffee, tea, safe, what have you. The beds were comfy and the pillows soft and nice(what sometimes is a problem in budget hotels). All you'd expect from a proper room with an outstanding price tag.

For my short stay in Kata Beach , the hotel had all I needed. The location is good, my room was big, clean and comfortable. The pool was a bonus. The staff, specially at the reception were truly friendly and helpful and very accomodating, helping me arrange a tour around Phuket with a taxi driver & a Phi Phi Island tour. Special thanks also to the Thai lady assistant manager.

The restaurant (for a fee) is certainly discreet and with a quality/price ratio in line with Kata. The staff is very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The hotel structure certainly requires careful maintenance, especially in the sanitary systems which are old and deteriorated, there were some inconsistencies in the walls of the room. Doing some intervention with more continuity for the insects would not be a bad idea. The cleaning of the rooms is daily but it is not always so thorough, and the quality of the linen leaves something to be desidered. The breakfast does not have great variety, despite 10 choices on the menu, if you are looking for a continental breakfast it is not here.

Price was ok for what we got
Cons: Bad vibe in the place from the moment we arrived. Staff were rude and unapproachable at times. Hard to describe the kind of vibe in the place but just didn’t feel overly comfortable there. Air con didn’t work and the room was a sauna, you couldn’t sleep without the air con. We complained and they said they’d get us a technician which they did but it was 5pm on the evening of our final night, to say he fixed it wouldn’t really be the truth, it was just less bad. Bed bugs in our bed we think as we covered ourselves in insect spray daily but woke up with fresh bites each morning. Swimming pool looked murky and the view from it isn’t as it looks in the pictures. Only a couple sunbeds with no cushions in direct sunlight. The place is cheap so we didn’t expect a 5 star stay but it wasn’t even up to the standards of what you’d expect from a hostel.

Cons: The breakfast seemed like it was as cheap as they could go. You pick off a set menu, and when my son asked to change his fried eggs to scrambled, it was a big inconvenience to them. The picture shows two slices of bacon and two sausages but you only get one of each and very small. The fruit they provide is sliced so thinly, sort of like paper! We also filled a water bottle at breakfast one morning as the cleaning staff hadn't left us any - and we were told off for doing this. The pool always looked a bit murky. The shower took a long time to drain.

I had such a positive experience with the Melissa that I ended up booking here twice. The staff are especially friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable and have everything you need. The beach is just around the corner and the breakfast menu is great! The Room is spacious and the Location is good - it’s a 7 minute walk to the beach. The Bathroom seams pretty new, so the shower was good - hot water and good pressure. The Room was clean and had a drying rack on the Balcony. The Hotel offers a 10% discount when you eat at the restaurant- we didn’t try it but like the idea and the offer.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a seating option on the balcony. The Bed is - typical for Thailand- a bit hard BUT they put a topper on the bed which made it a bit more comfortable.

I had breakfast included with my booking, the breakfast was really nice, you have a lot of options to pick from. The rooms were clean, comfortable bed and practical furnitures to be used during your stay. The room lighting had a quite nice ambience to it. The location was perfect, Good restaurants, street food, shops, minimart, beach almost everything within 5 minutes walking distance.
