We stayed here for one night and really liked the place. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the whole riad has plenty of authentic touches that make it feel special. It’s quiet and in a great location — just a short couple of minutes’ walk from the car park. Samir was extremely attentive and friendly, and it was a pleasure to meet him. He genuinely made our short stay even better!

It was a lovely place, with great and helpful staff The breakast was good and it was a good location as it was walking distance from the main attractions
Cons: Overall we had a very good experience. We’d just recommend for future visitors that if going to the center, avoid the Google maps shortcuts and focus on the main street as some of the streets recommended can be slightly isolating and initimidating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very convenient being collected from the airport, and met from the car to be walked to the door (as it would have been tricky to find!) They provided a map to help us find our way around until we were more familiar with where to walk. The Riad was clean and comfortable. The room was cleaned daily and we had breakfast served by the pool every morning. It was close enough to the centre of the Medina to walk to the centre easily. There are also some very nice restaurants nearby, which are in back streets/behind doors, so do your research online.
Cons: Our only suggestion would be a bit of fruit with the breakfast would have been appreciated. But breads and coffee and juice each day was great (even when we had an early flight home). Also, a tip that it is cheaper to buy bottled water at one of the small shops nearby. But the Riad does have drinks and food to buy if you need.

This is a very nice riad, on a great location. It is very private and it offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The pool is small but more than enough for a quick refreshment in the afternoon or in the evening, the rooms are very nice and clean and the atmosphere is just magical. Air conditioning works great, the terrace is very comfortable to relax in the evening. Breakfast each morning is also nice with freshly squeezed orange juice, and we even got coffee and cacao for the kids. The location is safe and peaceful, close to the city gates and near Jardin Majorelle, but also close on the other side to the main square in Medina. Our pick up locations for the desert trip and cooking class were all just a few minutes away from this riad. There is a supermarket just around the corner and the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. If we went back to Marrakech we would most definitely stay at this riad. It has the most magical appeal - it is in the neighbourhood that people live in, it is not just for tourists, so you can see kids playing football in the streets and there is a market with vegetables, fruit, spices and meat very near by, it is very lovely.

LOVELY property. My friend and I stayed at Zen House for 8 nights total, and it honestly started to feel like home towards the end. The location is slightly outside of the city center, which we enjoyed, with just a short 5-minute walk to the main areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were able to tend to us whenever we needed, even offering an early breakfast when we needed to depart earlier than 8 am for a tour or excursion. Breakfast was amazing every day, and I will be dreaming of the coffee forever. Overall, it was such a great experience and I would stay here again many times.
Cons: Please bring cash Euros or DH, upon arrival for the property tax and for the airport shuttle service (if applicable). They do not have a card reader (even though our shuttle driver insisted they did), so it is important to bring cash to account for the tax and shuttle. Also, this is not the property's fault at all, but if you book the room with 2 single beds, it is likely the room on the ground floor. This was nice and convenient since we didn't need to carry luggage up and down the stairs, but it did mean that most of the time, sleeping in was not an option for us since other guests who came to have breakfast right outside the room on the ground floor were not mindful of those who could be sleeping. Large groups or families generated lots of noise during breakfast.

A peaceful gem in Marrakech – highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at Riad Zen House. The place is beautiful and full of charm, with a spectacular courtyard that feels like an oasis and a lovely rooftop terrace perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. The team is absolutely fantastic — incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with any request. They really made us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, which changed daily and featured freshly baked local products — a perfect start to the day. The riad is spotlessly clean, peaceful, and has a truly calming atmosphere. The location is a bit tucked away, which actually makes it even more relaxing, and it’s still very convenient to explore other parts of Marrakech, whether by foot or short taxi ride. All in all, a perfect blend of authenticity, comfort, and warm hospitality. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Marrakech!

The Riad is placed in a quiet area , close enough to the souk Medina, Jardin de Majorelle and parking Bab Yacout, Interiors are cozy and relaxing and the rooftop with sun-chairs is a plus.. I liked the staff attitude to help us with suggestions and services , they really pampered us during our staying. This hidden oasis of calm is the perfect place to see inside the Medina of Marrakech. Be prepared for utter chaos outside of the door the Riads are a maze of high walled buildings with cats motorbikes demolished buildings & people of Marrakech living their lives but don’t be intimidated by all of this behind the door of Riad Zen ( beautiful ) house is truly that ! Beautiful peaceful calm. The architecture& rooms are amazing birds coming into the open roof ( photos) a paradise from the craziness of the city ! Souks, motorbikes etc . Embrace it all as this is wonderful Marrakesh ! The room was cleaned everyday ! Clean towels & bedding, breakfast was beautiful each morning fresh coffee & Orange juice pastries etc. Nothing was too much trouble. On our last day had a full body massage which was bliss 😊 not a large pool but big enough to cool off and a beautiful roof top terrace to relaxing on. Utterly adored this place even though we did get lost a few times , don’t be intimidated by what you read this place is the friendliest most welcoming city I have visited & I travel a lot 😃
Cons: Nothing at all ! Bell needs a clean in entering the property if I had to say anything ! Oh and getting lost but that’s part of the adventure 🤪

The staff was amazing, very attentive, kind and helpful in everything. The room overlooked a courtyard which kept everything nice and cool, and it was beautiful. Everything had a very traditional feel to it but with all the facilities. Although it was necessary to ring the bell to get in, this ensured the security of the hotel and they had no problem with what time we returned. Also, the breakfast was delicious, varied a little every day and they also catered to your needs (e.g. once I was not feeling like coffee and asked for a mint tea and there was no problem) If I go back to Morocco I will definitely choose this hotel again!
Cons: There was maybe a little noise in the room when other people were using the courtyard (because our room was at the ground level), but it never happened at night so it wasn't a problem for us, they seemed very mindful of this.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. They accommodated request for early check in and stored our bags for the day while we went out and explored. We asked them to prepare dinner for us and they put a lot of thought in setting the table with candle light and rose petals. The roof top terrace is extensive and offers many spots to relax and/ or look out over the Medina.
Cons: The location of this Riad is not that close to most of the attractions within the Medina. It is confusing to navigate your way to the main square, the mosque, etc The room was okay, but could use a fresh coat of paint. The hardware that holds the shower head to the wall was broken, so we had hand held shower only. The manager of the Riad requested that we pay the room tax in cash, separate from the credit charge for the room. She requested smaller denominations of dirham even though we told her we did not have it.

The room was big and the toilet very nice.
Cons: The guy working there when we arrived was not friendly. It took him half an hour to do our check in and he didn't know if we had a reservation (even if I told him my name and the reservation was already paid). He didn't give us the front door key so we needed to ring the bell everytime we wanted to get in and he took every time more than 5 minutes to do it. Also, the location is not the best, it is 20 minutes walk from the main square and really complicated to arrive there (in comparison to the other Riad where we stayed before). I will not not go to this Riad again and I don't recommend it. Also, the breakfast was not so good (in comparison to the other Riad's breakfast). Too much noise during night and early morning. Breakfast starts at 9am so not a place for early birds. The swimming pool is really really small.

Riad Zen House was amazing! From the stuning space inside, the rooms, the terrace, everything was amazing. The breakfast was incredible and the lady's were very helpfull. Staff were very helpful and friendly, walking us to and from our taxis, booking taxis for us, providing us with directions and overall very welcoming. Breakfast was more than expected and very yummy. Rooms were cleaned everyday and beds were nice and cosy.
Cons: doors weren't particularly thick so could sometimes hear people walking around at night or people outside but overall not much of an issue

Amazing staff, great facilities. On arrival the area seemed a bit run down but by the second day we got used to the dark, narrow streets, it is typical for the Medina. Everyone is friendly and respect tourists. The Riad itself was beautiful, clean and comfy. Fully recommended.
Cons: All was good.

I like Riads, there is something very unique about them. The room was warm an intimate
Cons: There was a lot of noise from other guests in the morning and there is just no way of not hearing them because of how the Riad is built .

Quite place, very cozy and clean. Samir exceptional receptionist, helpful and kind. I recommended the hotel if you want a little island of peace in the caos of Marrakech.
Cons: The bathroom is aesthetically very nice but the details are a bit cheap and not functional so that could be improved

The rooftop
Cons: Breakfast is terrible. No eggs, no fruit, no water. Sometimes the neighbors get things you don't. If you go out within 5 min you can get everything for 10dh. Anyways, the worst breakfast in our traveler's career. Staff is cold and not advising at all. They don't provide a key, so you have to ring.

Check-in experience was quick and efficient, they offered us tea while we were waiting. Room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good although lacking some protein (probably just Moroccan breakfast in general though!). We went in August and it was too hot to take advantage of the roof terrace, but it looked very nice.

The room was beautifully clean and had a lovely Moroccan ambience. It had all the amenities and a great AC. Mostafa, the maitre d’, was just the loveliest person who catered to our needs and was incredibly friendly and warm. I’d recommend this Riad for anyone wanting to stay close to the main square but looking for a quiet place to sleep.
Cons: The only thing we felt could be improved was the breakfast, possibly could have more variety and fresh fruit or eggs. However, it was a nice breakfast anyway. Thank you

Very peaceful spot away from super busy areas, only 10 minutes walk to main Medina areas though. Easy walk from Medina gates (where driver drops you) to hotel, and if arriving at night (which I did) someone from the hotel came and met me from the driver, which was very helpful. Nice common areas of library, courtyard, rooftop etc.
Cons: The breakfast was suffice but mostly bread and cake. There are minimal grocery stores or places to buy fresh food nearby, but if you plan on eating at restaurants every meal than I guess it's ok. No kettle or fridge in room.

The riad was amazing, very nice style and incredible terrace. Staff was nice and very polite. Our room was on the ground floor and a bit too dark since we had no natural light coming through the windows, only the sound of people having breakfast in the morning. The area felt a bit sketchy at some point but overall we had a good stay.
Cons: Room on the ground floor is a bit dark and the area is quite far from the main attractions.

A beautiful place to stay! Short walk through alleys from taxi. Mint tea and biscuits while we completed paperwork. Very comfortable and clean throughout. It's approx 3 properties, all connected. Bedrooms and bathrooms very smart and comfortable. Roof terrace was very comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of sweet items and bread with jam, served with coffee all carefully presented. About 20 min walk from main medina. Kids can be a bit of a nuisance (however, we enjoyed football kick about!) but felt safe walking in evening.
Cons: Thought we booked a twin room, but double was comfortable.

A very lovely stay within Zen House. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed a lovely welcome tea and biscuits as well as a nice breakfast in the morning. It is in a quieter area outside of the main parts of Marrakech, making it peaceful and quiet to sleep. We will definitely stay again!

The staff was friendly, accommodating and there was a good atmosphere in the Riad.
Cons: The Riad is in between the attractive part of the medina and the new center, in an area where not many restaurants are available.

One of the best accommodation I've had on my travels. From start to finish the staff and owner were on top of everything, making our stay comfortable, even down to booking excursions and recommendations. If you are looking at a classic Marrakesh experience this is the place to start.

The room is beautiful, very clean rooms, lovely decor and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The location isn’t the best, it’s down a side road and taxis can’t really get down there so you have to be dropped and then walk the streets at night in the dark. You ask for directions and people expect money from you. One guy stood outside the door and wouldn’t leave. Breakfast is very basic - bread jam and coffee. It is also very very very noisy. 5am after prayers, staff are downstairs talking loudly moving chairs and tables. Breakfast is served in the middle of the building and your rooms are around the edge so if people are eating from 6am you’re awake. You can hear everything. In order to get in you have to ring the door bell which is very loud so people are ringing it all night coming home and you jump and wake up out of your sleep. By night 3 we were exhausted and we started to not enjoy the holiday so much due to lack of sleep. That would be the one major thing I’d say to improve. At least give a key for the door instead of the door bell. 1 night at 2am someone was buzzing to get in and no one was answering. It’s was a good 30 minutes of them continuing to press the bell until someone came. If you’re not bothered about getting a decent sleep then this Riad is lovely. But if you need 7/8 hours like me, I wouldn’t recommend it. Between 1am - 5am at best are the only quiet hours

Everything was PERFECT! The Riad is beautiful (even more beautiful then the photos which is crazy!!!) the breakfast is delicious and has a great variety of food, everyday there was fresh bread, pancakes, homemade DELICIOUS cake, the room exceeded all our expectations and are even more beautiful then the pictures, beds were extremely comfortable and there are no words for the bathroom (INCREDIBLE). But that is not even the best part about this Riad, the best part was the STAFF! the most amazing, kind, smiley, patient (we were 11 people staying there) and thoughtful staff, always there for us when we needed something and always ready to help. On my next trip to Marrakesh I will definitly be staying there! 100000/10

Nice and beautiful Riad, nice staff. Slept very well, very cosy interior. Breakfast is alright
Cons: There is no 24/7 reception, so when you come back to the Riad, you have to ring a bell. The bell is audible in the whole riad, also early morning or in the middle of the night. Location is okay, but not very close to the center (20-25 minutes)

The staff was super friendly and helpful, they really accommodated to our wishes. The room was cleaned (and even tidied) for us every day, which is great. Breakfast was perfect.
Cons: We had a room on the ground floor that was located right next to the breakfast area (which was also on the way to enter and exit the building), so it was quite noisy. Also, you enter the front door by ringing the doorbell instead of having a key, which made that we woke up when we were asleep and other people entered the riad.

Cons: nothing!

The staff were great and very helpful. The roof terrace was great to get some sun and escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Breakfast was great. Whilst in a residential area, along with other riads, it is a short walk from all the main sights
Cons: Nothing to do with the excellent riad. But as two asthmatics, we noticed the smog/fumes in the middle of the old town

Fantastic facility, extremely clean, friendly staff that would go out of its way to help with anything you wanted. It's location at the outer, residential end of the Medina was convenient for both access from a taxi and walking to the heart of the Medina with all it shops and activities. Really the only thing negative I can say about the stay was that the property was a little difficult to find at first. But Google maps was able to guide us perfectly as we walked from the large square back to the hotel. We would definitely stay there again if we ever returned to Marrakech.

It was a beautiful stay not only because of the great location, and comfortable and homey room and facilities, but mostly of the great staff in the Riad, Taja, and the 2 Mustaffas, they were very kind, genuine and helped us a lot in many ways. It was a superb stay because of the great people. We loved the breakfast, the moroccan tea and the rooftop for stargazing at night! Awesome Riad!

The staff was amazing, very helpful and ease or stay in the Riad. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything you would need (hairdryer, tourist guides, etc.). The room was tidied up each day and new towels were provided. 10/10 for the staff.
Cons: The only down side was the Riad location, as it felt a less secure area of Marrakech.

Clean and nice, good breakfast and really confortable bed
Cons: The man at the reception could only speak arabic, it was really really hard to communicate with him and receive his support. People working in a hotel should at least speak english and/or french. About the position,it was quite near the center (20 minutes walking from the central square) but the neighborhood was quite scary and dark in the night (especially for 3 girls like us) and the hotel is not giving a key for the hotel (just for the room) so we always had to ring the bell and wait for someone to open us.

A very pleasant stay at this Riad, excellent staff, A nice compact double bedroom, which has a double bed and a nice firm mattress. A large shower room & plenty of hot water. The Riad is approximately a 20 minute walk to the square. They serve a good basic breakfast which will keep you going until lunchtime. Overall a pleasant stay and I would return without hesitation.
