Good relaxing cheap hotel away from the city. Breakfast so yummy and staff really helpful. Feels old and in need of work everywhere. Kept running out of food. They don't respect any of the vip extras so don't expect any upgrade or bar credit or anything!!! Everything went worse when we asked for their 200dhm (20€) airport transfer and when the van came and was out of reach of hotel the driver upped the price to 30€!!!!! Knowing we were stuck with him. Expected that from taxis that's why we trusted the hotel and ended up worse!!! Tried calling the hotel but they "didn't understand me" and hung up.. made it a really bitter experience

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The garden is gorgeous! The pool is warmer than all other hotels we visited. This is a perfect place if you just want to lay by the pool and read a book. We loved the hotel, we stayed for two nights. They didn’t have everything on the menu. Probably because its low-season. But the food they did have was very good. It would be good if they fixed more hooks for the towels in the bathroom, but most of the hotels in Morocco lacked that. The rooms are cold in the winter because they are cool during the summer, so bring some slippers to wear inside. The location is a bit off so it’s recommended to have a rental car if you want to be able to leave when ever you want. But if you don’t have the possibility to get a rental car you can always book a transfer from the hotel to central Marrakesh or where ever you want. You can also book excursions to different places via the hotel with shuttle bus. You pay the tourist tax at the hotel, just like you do almost everywhere in the world. So they are not trying to trick you.

This is a very beautiful hotel in a peaceful area east of Marrakech. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the large garden and pool. The staff are very kind and do their best to look after you. The owner appeared one night and offered me a glass of bourbon on the house. My only reservation is that there is no breakfast buffet and this could be due to there being only eight guest rooms. Also what is on offer is mostly bread and eggs. I found this selection, plus having to wait a while for it to appear a bit limiting. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

WOW! Absolutely beautiful! We booked this for our honeymoon based on a hotels.com search, as well as near perfect reviews! In fact its overall score was 8.9 out of 10! I have to be honest, I would give it a 9.5! Everything was near perfect, breakfast was delicious as was the food offered, although the menu could be extended - but this is a personal preference. There isn’t currently a spa on site, although they partner with a spa in Marrakesh, however, the owner advised they are looking at an in-house spa facility in the future. The room was immaculate, very big and opulently decorated, as per pictures, the decor around the hotel, gardens and ambiance were perfect for a serene getaway or honeymoon. Although it is located on the outskirts of Marrakesh, don’t let this put you off, as transport is easy, and all the day trips/outings we booked were able to include pickup within the cost.

I loved this place. If you are looking for an experience, this is the place to come to. The dining experience was so great, we ended up staying at the hotel to see what we could order next. It is all the little touches that they have for dining that I loved. Limited menus, but when they do it, they cook incredibly. The rooms were huge. I didn't speak French much, but they made an effort to understand my Grade 10 (B ) French but ended up speaking English. The pool is next level fantastic. Plenty of towels and space. The grounds are well kept. The only downside is getting to the main town - it is $20E both ways, and you must get to the square to shop. All in all, I will be returning and hoping they change the menu so I can experience even more.

Excellent hotel! The location is brilliant if you want a calm area to sleep in. It is right at the end of a row of luxurious villas. The pool is open all night which meant we could have a late night swim. Felt like we rented out the whole villa to ourselves as it is that exclusive. Our suite had a patio that went right out to the pool giving us an amazing view. The staff were excellent at every stage of our stay. There is free private parking too and not far from the city centre at all. Definitely would recommend and from now on when I go back to Marrakech this is the only hotel I will be using!

A éviter !!!!!! » a éviter !!!!

Everything about The Bird was fantastic for us - private, clean, friendly staff, etc. We visited Marrakech in a party of 50+ with some of us staying at The Bird. More than 10 others said they would have loved to stay at The Bird. The only downside for us were the pets. Without the pets, everything would have been 100% and we would have planned to stay at The Bird again. We loved Marrakech and would visit again.

Väldigt dålig belysning i rummet.

The hotel dog Birdie was lovely and gentle, my favourite part of the stay. The spa/sauna has not been completed yet so not able to use. Order food 1 hour before as they are not fully stocked. Staff was very good and attentive. Works were going on, hotel has potential but not fully there yet. Maybe worth getting your own driver as hotel driver often took an hour to arrive. We used Aziz +212614412360 a licensed taxi driver. Talks little English but great guy and great rates.

This is a good place to stay if you want some peace and quiet from Marrakech city. The grounds are well kept and the hotel has a nice design and layout. The rooms are large, the bed was comfortable and the air con worked well. There are good views from the balcony looking out towards the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful, and are around to serve food and drinks at the pool, which was nice. The hotel is quite far out from the city, so you will need a driver from the hotel to transport you around. We had a great driver, and the price was 150 Dirhams each way to the city, so this needs to be factored in to the cost of staying. There are a few worn out things that need fixing at the hotel - the bean bag sun loungers were splitting (and also not enough for all guests!!), there were a few nails sticking out of boards around the pool boards, some wood work in the rooms was broken. The bird cage at the front also needed cleaning with fresh water for birds. The hotel dog also looked like he needed to see vet, as he had a sore on his skin. They do serve lunch and dinner here as well, but communication was a bit poor. There were many times when the food on the menu was not available, and this caused some issues at lunch and dinner. The food is good in general, but nothing amazing. There are better places to eat in the city. Overall it was a good stay, but with a few issues that should really be resolved.

I thought the staff was very nice and helpful. I wouldn't say the hotel was 5 star more like 3 and a half star, example i went to Egypt 4 years before to a 4 star and i would say it was better than this 5 star. I had problems with the shower, it would either be scalding hot or freezing cold and kept fluctuating temperature. The drain for the shower was clogged so it would take long for the water to drain. I found holes in the walls, rust on alot of the bathroom fittings and also the stand for the umbrellas out in the garden. The garden furniture was dirty i had to put a towel over them to feel i wanted to sit on them so yh, after this rant i believe for the money it wasn't worth it but other than that the staff made me feel welcome and they was helpful if i needed help finding somewhere or wanting to learn a new word in Arabic, so a special thanks to Mounaim and ismail great guys!

The experience went from good to bad. Some of the staff was friendly except one of the man (bigger built one). The food we wanted from the kitchen was never in stock so we had to pay for food we didn’t like. If you was a pestiarian you didn’t have much food to choose for except tuna which also ran out of stock. This hotel is far from city so not much places you could go unless paying for taxi . The entertainment is rubbish as for the tv it never worked throughout our stay. I don’t think I would stay again as I never enjoyed the food or attitude of some staffs and no entertainment. Also couldn’t go in swimming pool as their hotel dog kept drinking out the water

Writing on behalf of my wife: Our room was situation outside in the Garden next to the pool so the view was very good out of our garden door, the breakfast was nice, it is not buffet but it was plenty. There is only one person making the breakfast so people have to wait to be served in turns. the only criticism is the room temperature on the first night was very cold even though we set the heating to maximum. There was no carpet on the floor and the floor was extemely cold too. Our biggest struggle was the water temperature. You could never get it right as either it was freezing cold or boilig hot. You only get a soap which completely dries your skin out so make sure you bring all your shower gel, face wash etc. If you arrive late make sure you bring food as you will not be able to order dinner after 4pm A suggestion would be to have a shuttle bus from hotel to Madina as it can be far for those not driving on their own. The atmosphere was really relaxing and we did have good time and we probably will go back. My wife rates 8 out of 10 I rate 10 out of 10 with no complaints. May be water temperature a small issue for me

This is a lovely family run hotel quite a distance outside Marrakech. Taxis cost around £15 each way from Marrakech so needs to be kept in mind. The hotel is located in a pleasant garden setting with outside pool - if the weather had been warmer we would have definitely had a swim. The name is perhaps a bit misleading from an English perception of the word 'spa' as there was a swimming pool but no hot-tub/ jacuzzi/steam room etc. Overnight temperatures are low at this time of year so it was a bit chilly but we got extra blankets which was good! Breakfast is traditional Morrocan which was lovely although they charge for additional tea/coffee which is on the bill at the end of the stay. There was no hotel sign for the Bird on the main road which confused and delayed taxi drivers and the SatNav is to a nearby (but incorrect) address so having the hotel phone number ritten down and ready to hand was vital! Saying all this we would return again to the Bird as it's a tranquil and charming place. Ishamel, one of the waiters, was particularly good and helpful with arranging taxi's etc which was much appreciated.

I’m not a frequent traveller so perhaps I view things differently when it comes to hotels but this place was sensational. A drop of tranquility amongst a sea of combustion. Marrakech is such a vibrant and busy city so it’s nice to be able to escape away from it all to find some peace. Here the rooms were clean and our own room was huge. The staff were all friendly considering English isn’t a well spoken language for them. The breakfasts were sizeable and nice. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was fantastic food too. All in all, I would highly recommend if you want to experience Marrakech but also have a break away from the hustle and bustle and just relax.

We had come there to do some work and relax however we had some issues. Firstly, we could not work because the internet is extremely poor. It was in the middle of no where which would have been fine if there was food to eat. The restaurant serves once a day and you have to be there 4pm to place to your for the evening if you were to venture out. We had to leave because our room had a sewage smell that got worse after every flush. It seemed to emenate through the toilet, the skin and the bathtub. If you speak English good luck trying to communicate, they do speak a little English; however if you have issues or need something there is a chance they may not understand. We asked to leave after the first night and was promised w e would get our money back and then they did not honor their promise.

Very calm and private place if you looking for calm and relaxation, not far from the centre but a car is a must.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The grounds, rooms and food were amazing and the staff were the friendliest hotel staff we had ever met. We will definitely be going back here. Thank you for making our stay so amazing!

We stayed for 4 nights at The Bird Exclusive and we are very happy we chose to stay away from the centre of Marrakech, The staff were very friendly, there was a clear language barrier but they tried hard. The chef was not in for the first 2 days and we were not told until it was too late to organise any food which was disappointing, The pool area is lovely and the hotel is clean and modern. We were there on our own for a few days which was nice but very quiet. We asked about the spa but this was obviously not something they were expecting as it was just being used as a storage area, no one around to make this a functioning spa and definitely no chance of a massage or treatment. The roof terrace was also closed all week. The wine was nice but they ran out after one bottle on 3 of the nights which was a bit annoying, when sharing this isn't much, There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room either which would have been nice in the morning, Breakfast was lovely out by the pool, a good selection and plenty of it. Overall, a pleasant stay in a very quiet guesthouse away from the hustle and bustle of a very busy city. Would definitely come back and would recommend for people who like a quieter space to relax.

We had a very relaxing stay, kind attentive staff.Nothing was too much trouble. It was clean well looked after and lovely gardens.A little far out from Marrakech itself, but taxis were no problem.Probably more a couples hotel but for anyone who wants to get away from the rat race this is a great place. The manager and staff were delightful and keen to please,

We have just returned from a weekend at The Bird. Great suites which are clean. The Manager was on leave during our stay so we were looked after very well by Ismael although he spoke limited English so there were a few specifics about the room and our stay which we were unclear about although this did not affect the quality of our stay generally. An example is that whilst we were only there for a couple of nights, our room was not made up during our stay. We were there in January so the suite did get a little chilly in the evenings and understanding how the Air Con worked was a little difficult to understand. I would definitely recommend taking warm slippers as the floors in the room are particularly cold at this time of the year. The breakfast both mornings was lovely as was the light lunch we had on our first day. It is worth noting that the Guest House is located a fair distance to the main Medina in Marrakech (about 20-30 minutes drive). There is literally nothing near the Guest House so it is very secluded. Marrakech is not the easiest place to travel in by taxi. We used Marrakech Taxis (found on the internet) to book taxi journeys to and from the Medina. The cost was 150 MAD each way (cheaper than the 200 MAD quoted by Ismael) so we spent 600 MAD in total on taxis( around £50) in just 2 days. If I had to make one suggestion to the Guest House owners, it would be to put on a free shuttle bus to and from the Medina every day for the guests.

Remote but stunning & new. Stayed in huge French room with balcony, bean bags, walk in wallrobe, fridge, bath & shower. We were there alone for almost a week so had exclusive attention from staff & pool to ourselves! Travel expensive by taxi to Old Town £33. As remote, deserted at night & no buses going our way, we didn’t have much choice but to pay this. Also no WIFI so couldn’t arrange transport with another company. This expense ate into our spending money. We would have been able to go on another excursion if we hadn’t had to pay so much. As we are explorers who are happy to get a bus this extra transport cost wasn’t budgeted for. Despite this the taxi guys were reliable & friendly. They took us on a 4hour excursion to ancient village. We stopped a few times for picture opportunities, bathroom & lunch. It cost £100, which was the same price quoted by Easy Take Transfers. Meal in hotel quite pricey at £25 per head (3 course) & have to give notice so the chef knows. The chambermaid was so nice. Managed to communicate even though she spoke Arabic and we didn’t! All staff were friendly & those who could practised their English with us.The waiter serving breakfast was very precise & perfect with the lay out. Exceptional. Eggs, sponge cake, fresh juice & various breads for breakfast. All very delicious. Drinks reasonably price. Bed comfy. Musky bathroom smell. Would both definitely stay again.Suggested a 2018 long weekend party-takeover to the boss! Google The Bird Marrakesh
