Beautiful riad, comfortable rooms, with double shuttered windows I have never slept in such a dark space. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is just outside the busy area of the Medina, so quite quiet at night. We were very happy.

If you book Riad Imilchil you can gaurentee you'll experience: - Brilliant breakfast (you won't be hungry) - Safe & Welcome (They will take you out through the streets so you can get a feel for the place on your first day) - Clean - Advisable (if you need recommendation on activities and anything booked they can do it for you) - Great location

The hosts are absolutely fabulous, nothing is too much. They walked with us to the medina for our first trip and helped us with taxis, activities and restaurant recommendations. The location is great and whilst we didn’t sit on the terrace (winter!) there was a lovely view over the city. We also really appreciated the heating in the cold evenings.
Cons: Everything was great but we would have liked more protein with breakfast, it was bread heavy

Before booking it seemed strange there were so many 10 grade reviews but after we got there, we understood why. The day before we arrived we tried to do the summit to Mount Toubkal but because of very bad and dangerous weather we could not and I got a very very bad flu/cold(fever, headache and a lot of tissues). This riad was a perfect place to be sick because we felt like home. Ayoub and Chic was wekh were truly amazing, friendly and helpful, I could not be more happy and grateful that I stayed there. The breakfast was very good as well as the dinner and everything was clean. The riad was also easy to find. So yeah I recommend with all my heart this accommodation

How about this: "Riad Imilchil is absolutely excellent! The location is perfect, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive. They were always there to help with anything I needed and made my stay truly memorable.
Cons: As an Arab Muslim traveler, the only downside I faced was the lack of a bidet sprayer in the bathroom, which is essential for my personal hygiene and comfort. However, I really appreciated that the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating; they provided me with a water jug to use instead. It was a thoughtful gesture that made my stay much easier.

Stanze comode.

The room was simple but clean and tidy. Shower was super with a walk in shower area! Loved the authenticity and beautiful property. The two guys Ayoub and his colleague were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. It was really thoughtful that Ayoub met us at the taxi on arrival and walked us to the Riad. Visa versa at the return trip. He also organised the taxis to and from the airport. Nothing was too much trouble. The Riad was a short walk down narrow alleys to the souks and main square. But away from the Hussle and bustle!

It's daunting to book a Riad with so much choice. But booking this one was the best decision. Ayoub and Ismail exceeded all expectations as hosts. They couldn't do enough for our family, they helped with all our bookings, advice, etc. The breakfast was delishious and different all 3 mornings. Having Ayoub pick us up from our drop-off location and walk us places until we found our feet was priceless. Even gave his number in case we got lost. Honestly, the peace of mind was everything. The location is ideal, felt 100%safe walking even at night. Beds were super comfy. Loved the traditional decor and lighting in the room. Tea and snacks were plentiful and delish. Honestly, I really can't say enough other than if you are on the fence, just book it, you won't regret it.
Cons: Not a thing. Was perfect

I am leaving this review because the high rating of Riad Imilchil was what made my decision to choose it for a three-night stay. This review is to balance that and make sure others are not misled by the high rating. I’ve stayed in various riads over the years. This one is delightfully authentic, with its cool courtyard, surrounding rooms and sunny terrace with covered area for lounging around. The staff bent over backwards to help us - but that was because they were forced to in order to fix the problems caused by the outdated facilities. That said, the breakfasts were delicious, with excellent coffee and lovely and different treats brought out every morning - top marks for the yoghurt.
Cons: The first room we were put in had a broken shower head and the toilet didn’t flush. The team kindly put us in the bridal suite for a night but here the sink flooded the bathroom every time it was used. When we were moved into the third room, the air conditioning didn’t work. In the heat and dust of Marrakesh, it’s not too much to ask for working plumbing and air conditioning and the situation was as frustrating for us as it was for the staff. It is authentic and charming, but everything is clunky and slow with the core team seeming to be there 24/7, struggling to catch up with their sleep. It was all a little tired and shabby chic. The plunge pool they mention I would not have ventured into, with no running water and it just sat there in murky silence throughout our stay. As for the high reviews that prompted my booking, there was an amount of pressure from the team not to leave a “bad” review. I hope I’ve left an honest review. It might make their lives easier if people don't arrive with over-high expectations based on a higher price and 10/10 reviews. If I could have left and avoided all the unnecessary repacking, waiting, moving then I definitely would have. There are better value riads in better locations so do look around before you book.

Grazie a lui ci siamo sentite come a casa, pur essendo lontane. Torneremo sicuramente! 🌟

The staff are fantastic and extremely attentive. There was nothing we had to ask for because they were always one step ahead of us and attending to our needs. However, it seemed that no request we had was too much- they went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. Ayoub and Mohammad were giving us a lot of fantastic recommendations throughout our stay and they made us feel incredibly comfortable. We ate here on one of our nights and the food was absolutely incredible. The breakfasts were incredible- I have never ate as well as I did this holiday! The room was incredibly comfortable and the entire team of staff did a wonderful job. They made sure that we made the most of our stay not only in the Riad, but they made sure that we made the most of our time in Marrakech. They made our time in Marrakech so memorable- we cannot thank them enough!

Good place, near the city centre, amazing location. Ayoub was a great guest, ready to help and provided some wonderful insights about the city, its culture, and history. He arranged tours, taxis, and provided advice on how to explore Marrakesh The riad had a homely atmosphere with typical Moroccan architecture, with a terrace with views all over the city. Very close to the central market square, but also relaxing and quiet. Breakfast was lovely and consisted of various Moroccan breads, omelette, fruit, juice, and cake.

Very good location, close to everything. Can be hard to find for first visit, we arrived in the evening, the sign was not obvious. The super kind size bed was awesome! Very comfortable. The clearness can be improved, as there are stains on the sitting chair. One of the wardrobe, it stinks if the door opens, we didn’t see anything unusual, looks like extra pillows, but it really stinks, you won’t smell it if the doors shut. Bathroom basin drain was so slow. The funniest thing is there no where to hang the shower, you literally have to hold the shower head to wash. There is no lift in the Riad, this isn’t a problem, you need to lift you luggage yourself through the narrow stairs, we live on the top of the Riad, there are two suits, the one on the ground floor is new refurbished, the one we lived on the top floor needs upgrades. Breakfast was good. Ayoub was the only staff during the time we stayed, he was so busy, we can see he works so hard to make sure everything goes right. I rated as 10 because of we were asked for few times this means a lot to them. Also for all those hardworking people work at that Riads. But for the money I paid, I would expected something better compared with other to accommodation we stay in Chechaouen and Fes. But it’s Marrakesh, understandable!

The riad staff - Ayoub and Ismael- were excellent; very attentive, friendly and full of great suggestions for local places to visit, eat etc. ❤ Location is good, 15 min walk down narrow streets to Jemaa el Fna (main square), although keep your eyes open for mopeds whizzing past! 🏍 Nothing was ever a problem at the Riad, superb hospitality and kindness from everyone there. The accomodation is simple, functional and comfortable; often a welcome retreat from the intensity of downtown Marrakech. Breakfast was delicious: local breads, juice butter, jam, Amlou (an argan and peanut butter) fruit, yoghurt, eggs, coffee and wondeful crepes. We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Imilchil. Many thanks to all the staff there 🙏
Cons: This not really a complaint, perhaps just an observation of some cultural differences. If you are used to European /American standards of customer service, you may find the Moroccan hospitality experience a little slow, multitasking doesn't seem to be favoured, so things often arrive one at a time and in their own good time! However, as we settled in and dropped our expectations, we soon grew accustomed to the gentler pace of North African life and maybe even learned something about patience and gratitude for what we have and receive. Also, those more accustomed to being ignored in shops and the fixed-price sales method, may find the near constant bothering and invitations to haggle a bit much. It is novel at first, but even my wife - who enjoys getting a bargain - eventually found it annoying as it actually made buying gifts a bit stressful. Again, these are cultural differences and not complaints, but perhaps something to consider if you have have not been to Morocco before. 🙏

We liked the breakfast very much. The amenities in the room were very good. The service was super attentive. Kamal and Ayul were absolutely wonderful. Riad Imichil is VERY lucky to have them tending to guests.
Cons: We destested the fact that Booking com didn't make it EXPLICIT that we had to pay CASH for the room at arrival. Since credit cards are not accepted, our 2 nights' stay at Riad Imilchil was difficult and arduous. We had to find ATM machines and/or banks to get cash, -- the lines were long, the machines did not dispense enough cash, which necessitated several trips. This adventure spoiled the trip! The time wasted getting cash meant we enjoyed less of Marrakesh than we had planned. Please make it EXPLICIT in bold letters on your Booking site that Riad Imilchil ONLY accepts CASH, doesn't accept credit cards-- nor is the room paid in advance on the booking site.

One of the best things about Riad Imilchil are the staff! Kamal and Ayoub were always available to help us or give us recommendations, always friendly and chatty, and made us feel like family. They are the stars of this Riad!!! The breakfasts and dinner we had were great, the room was comfortable and big, and the location a very nice quiet street a short walk from the busy markets.
Cons: The transfer from the airport was a bit late, but otherwise everything was perfect!

The staff was so kind and helpful in planning our weekend and taking care of us. The rooftop terrace was amazing to hang out and look over the city. Location A++. The room was spacious and clean and breakfast absolutely delicious. Would 100% recommend this stay and Ayoub, Khalim and Mohamed will take great care of you! My dad got a bit sick and they immediately made rice and verbane tea to help him.
Cons: Nothing to mention.

This was like staying at a wonderful home away from home. Our hosts (Mohammed and Ayub) were so welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay fantastic. The chicken tangine that we had at Riad Imilchi was also the best meal throughout our stay in Morocco (better than any restaurant we went to). I would strongly recommend eating in at least once during your stay here.
Cons: Nothing. It really was a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful, wonderful time here. The location: just a short walk from the souks but in a quieter area (we were glad to escape the craziness and come back here to relax). The staff: Nordin, Ayoub, and Mohamed took such great care of us, it really felt like we had a home in Marrakesh. The value: the riad is simple but well kept and feels like a real guest house. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. The team's hospitality and kindness really turned our stay from good to wonderful.

This is an authentic riad 7 minutes from the Jmaa Square. Located right next to Bahia Palace, this riad has earned all the positive press it has garnered. The images do justice to the property. But what was the clincher? Its owner and staff. Nothing was too much for them. Information, offer to sort out the smallest of details, even drop our group to where the taxis could pick up us at 3 am. Comfortably furnished, best roof terrace, but away from the lights and sound of the Jma el fnaa. Highly recommended

Nestled in the heart of Marrakech, this Riad is truly a gem! Despite our late arrival, the warmth and hospitality extended to us were unparalleled. Greeted with genuine smiles, a delightful traditional tea, and scrumptious cookies, our experience began on a high note. The owner, Mr. Mohamed, and his exceptional team redefine hospitality with a perfect blend of friendliness, conviviality, and professionalism. The rooms, reminiscent of a magical 1001 nights, exude beauty and pristine cleanliness, offering a peaceful haven in the midst of bustling Marrakech. Our nights were serene, and the mornings, a delight with a delicious breakfast. An unexpected highlight was the gracious dinner hosted by Mohamed, where we savored the tastiest Tangia in all of Morocco. His kindness was truly touching, especially as we were in Morocco as volunteers for an earthquake relief initiative. This Riad stands out, making us feel instantly at ease, a rare find in the bustling city. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers, we are certain to return. Additionally, we look forward to exploring Chateau Imilchil in the High Atlas Mountains on our next visit. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Mohamed and his team for making our stay unforgettable!

We have stayed in Morocco many times & the places we have stayed have generally been excellent. The Riad Imilchil was no exception and was perhaps our favorite yet. Situated in a perfect spot which was quiet but also just an easy 15/20 minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa. I always find walking the streets here one of my highlights with the hustle & bustle of the residents, traders & locals (mainly on foot but no shortage of mopeds) intoxicating. The Riad itself is stunning, we had the jnr suite which was very spacious & luxurious. The bed was one of the most comfortable Ive slept on anywhere. Housekeeping was away above and beyond with everything kept spotless but also making the bed so ornate (I felt guilty ruffling the covers each day ;-) On the roof is a lovely peaceful sitting area which was a welcome break from the excitement outside. The staff were ALL wonderful. I know it has been mentioned many times in reviews here but the staff really make the stay that bit special. Although everyone was friendly & helpful a special mention has to go to Kamal who was just a credit not just to the Riad but to his family. Such a nice genuine person who we enjoyed chatting to over the weekend.
Cons: Ive had a think but really couldnt fault anything, we dont like going back to the same places to stay but we will certainly be coming back to Riad Imichil.

Staff were so nice especially Kamal, very helpful, the location is in the old city, near to all touristic areas, the breakfast was very good at the hotel, they change the menu a bit and it’s not every day the same, if the purpose is to live the traditional Moroccan architecture and not a modern fancy atmosphere, I definitely recommend it ! I don’t mind going there again!

Staff very attentive and they will go out of their way to accommodate any request. Breakfast and dinner (if applicable) is great with many options. Very quiet and clean facilities and the top terrace view is super. Riad provides a guide (for a cost) that is great, highly recommended. Staff is multilingual which is a great benefit.
Cons: Would prefer the option to pay for some of the tourist options instead of through the riad. That being said, I would still select this option as the include guide is a major plus.

We had a pleasant stay at Riad Imilchil. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were available at all times and always offered tea when we arrived at the riad. The owner gave us some maps and information on how to get to the most important locations. Our room was small but very comfortable. The rooftop was comfortable and offered some nice views of the Medina in the evening. We thought the breakfast was magnificent and offered some new elements every day.
Cons: The taps in the shower were difficult to operate. The safe in our room was closed and not fixed to the wall. However, the riad is staffed at all times.

The staff were amazing, incredible service. Big thank you to Hicham and Mohamed, nothing was ever too much trouble and made us feel very welcome at the riad, like it was our second home. Location was a 10/15 minute walk away from the main square which was ideal for us, close enough to walk to easily but far away enough so that it was nice and quiet in the nights to sleep.

Good location inside the medina, about 15 minutes walking to the square. Super clean. Our host, Mohamed, and his staff were the best! Warm, helpful and kind people always pending on your needs and desires. Attention is super personalized, Mohamed picked fromthe taxi and took us to the Riad, helping with the suitcases, they received us with tea and cookies, they prepared the best tagine that we had and even showed us how to cook it, they provided good recommendations on what to see and where to eat, arranged a guide to know Marrakech better, taxies to and from the airport, a nice experience on a hamman, etc, kept our luggage during our visit to the desert, prepared early breakfast, and so much more. We like to think we made good friends there!
Cons: Beds are on the hard side, rooms are small, bathrooms can be a little smelly, but hey, you are in Marrakech! Forget about 4 stars hotels and live the most authentic experience possible!

The hosts are wonderful, very attentive and always on hand to offer help with organising things or to provide a nice cup of tea. Breakfast each morning was great and the location of the Riad is perfect for reaching a lot of the attractions quickly. We loved hanging out on the terrace, and it was great that the Wifi also worked on there too. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to arrive early and check out later.
Cons: We visited the first week in february. Our room was quite cold and we had to sleep with blankets and good for layers of clothes. Unfortunately in our room the A/C didn't really work so brought nothing to heating the room. And the only other issue was the smell from the bathroom, unfortunately a really unpleasant smell of sewage.

This place is more about people who run it. In this Riad you feel not in a hotel or apartments - but like you are visiting friends or relatives. Mohammed and others (not putting the names as do not want to be mistaken) are so hospitable that you are feeling safe and cared about all the time. I am a fan of tea - and they were offering tea any time you are in the hotel. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 - but if you want to get up later they will offer it to you anyway (traditional breakfast, no buffet). I also had dinner 2 times there, and the food was exceptional! You can receive any recommendations for your stay in the city, help with tours or Hammam. The location is very good. I also took both times the airport transfers and it was very well-organised and comfortable. It's also a very nice experience of living in a traditional place - maybe it might not be the level of comfort someone is expecting but it 100% worth it. Room cleaning is every day. The blanket is warm for cold nights. I can only say thanks to the people there for making my stay so good! And good luck to them with the Riad!
Cons: It was pretty cool in the place as in January the nights are cold, but every room has an air conditioning that you can put on heating + small heater if this is not enough. It was a bit uncomfortable for me to be in the room with no windows - there is a window that is looking "inside" to the courtyard - but again it's a traditional way of building houses there and the experience is definitely worth it. Due to this specific there is a good audibility but as there are only few rooms and this family atmosphere, no one was behaving loud, so it was not noisy as it might have been.

We felt very welcomed from day one. Mohamed and Ismail were great hosts and very supportive. When we arrived we first had a delicious mint tea and Mohamed also provided us directly with two bottle of water. After a nice and warm smalltalk he showed us the map of Marrakech and explained us everything like where to go, what to see, how to get there etc. He gave us valuable tips and advices which saved us money and time and we really appreciate him for his service. Our room was very cosy and clean. A beautiful traditional Riad in the Medina close to the big market. The breakfast was everyday on time and very delicious. If I have to highlight something it is clearly the staff, that really made us feel at home. They were really helpful: they offered good recommendations of places to visit and things to do. Our return flight was very late at night and they even let us store the bags until then and also arranged the airport transfer. The riad itself is beautiful, clean, and facilities work as you would expect. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. The location is also quite nice: next to the Bahia palace, it is inside the Medina but still near one of the main roads, so you won't have trouble getting transportation (most taxi drivers either charge an extra fee or directly refuse to enter the Medina). The main square of Jemaa El Fna is about 15 minutes on foot.
Cons: At the time of our stay they only accepted cash payments. Other than that there is really nothing to complain about.

Yazid is an amazing person, he is all in one, cooked, served, supported, even walked us to where we needed to go when we did not know the way. His friendship and smiling nice chat after our long days made our stay even nicer. Hotel is located in a very good location close to tourist attractions. although narrow and silent street made us worried at first, we saw in the second day that the city is amazingly safe for single woman travelling alone. we did never feel uncomfprtable even walking alone at night rooms are perfectly clean and Yazid’s breakfasts were very delicious
Cons: The hotel requested cash payment, and we were not informed about this before, which put us on a diffi ult situation. In this year, it is not acceptable that a tourşatic hotel is not accepting credit card. this needs to be fixed asap

The accommodation was really very cozy and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Hamid (owner) was really instrumental in planning our various trips both in Marrakesh and outside (Atlas mountains, Essaouira and Sahara dunes in Merzouga). My daughters were impresses by a Moroccan cooking class organized by Hamid's wife. We all can warmly recommend this small gem among Marrakesh riads.
Cons: We do not recollect any negative points about our stay.
