We are very pleased with the stay, the help, they are very friendly and familiar at the hotel, it is a safe place and you feel like you are at home, I recommend it 1000 percent. Above all, I want to highlight the good work and commitment that the manager Ahlam has, she is very human, an exceptional person and both she and the employees make sure that each client has a wonderful stay. We will return❤️❤️ Gracias !!!!

Cons: I don't have anything negative to say.

Our stay at Riad Zaki was truly enjoyable. The riad combines traditional Moroccan architecture with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, offering a relaxing escape in the heart of Marrakech. A special thank you to Wasil at the reception, whose kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism made our stay even more memorable. He was always ready to assist and ensured everything was perfectly arranged. We highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable experience in Marrakech.

Riad molto buono e confortevole.

Great location within walking distance of the souk and lovely restaurants. However the most impressive thing about this riad are the people working there. Quassel and Hamza were superb. Most professional and helpful and nothing was ever an issue. Organised transfers and trips out and kept in contact with us at all times. The place is spotless which is a compliment to the lady cleaning whose name I can't remember. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Quassel and best of luck with your new job. Beautiful, cosy, friendly Riad located 5 minutes walk from Jamal el Fna Square and in close proximity to the main attractions. Handy too, as it is situated on a main street, so taxi can drop you off at door . Bedroom comfortable and spacious and kept very clean by lovely friendly staff, the beautiful Najat and Naura. Great breakfasts including scrambled or poached eggs, a wheat cereal called harrira, I think, and freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of breads , cheese, almond butter and coffee and mint tea served on the rooftop terrace. Madame Houda and her fab staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Hamza, who was always extremely attentive, very kind and friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed, ordering taxis, giving directions, explaining the food and imparting to us his love and enthusiasm for this great city of Marrakech and all it has to offer!

Cons: Room was a little dark and an extra light over dressing room mirror would be appreciated for those of us who like to put make-up on in the morning!

It was perfectly located to explore and experience Marrakech. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Mohamed and Hassan looked after everything for us and responded to all our queries about the city and culture of Morocco. They did this in an exceptional friendly and professional way. We had a traditional breakfast and two dinners in the Riad and the food and service was excellent. We were also very pleased with the advice we received about various excursions and booked trips through them including airport transfers. The entire trip went very smoothly and was hugely enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Riad Zaki for anyone staying in Marrakech.

The property is a Raid, which has been updated and modernized in traditional style and located very close to the Medina. The staff were very friendly and welcomed me with traditional mint tea, provided a map and orientation of the location and points of interest in the area. The property was very clean with daily cleaning undertaken. The room was very clean, the bed firm and comfortable and the bathroom modern with good hot water and shower. The rooftop terrace was a relaxing area and a traditional breakfast, including juice, coffee, jams, cheeses and olives included and enjoyed in this area. A money changing facility is located on the property, inside the entry area.

Cons: The Riad is located on a busy road near the intersection of another road. The rooms at the front of the property are noisy due to traffic, people and businesses operating well into the night, making it difficult to sleep. I mentioned this to the staff and they offered me a room at the rear, which was lovely and quiet.

Cons: The hotel canceled my reservation on the day of my arrival. They said that they were overbooked and that the reservation I had made a month earlier had been annulled. They did find me a room in another nearby hotel, they didn’t leave me to sleep in the street, thanks for that, but it caused me a lot of stress, especially since it was my first visit to Morocco.

Imad and Ali were incredible hosts for our stay in Marrakech. They gave us the run down of all the best things to do and booked an excursion for us to the desert for quad bikes and camel rides. Breakfast every morning on the roof quickly became a highlight for us. Riad was in a great location in walking distance to all the main attractions and a supermarket close by. The room was nice and beautiful. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to visit Marrakech!

Everything was great. Highly recommend. 2nd time staying here. Located by a palace so guards are around making it safe, easily accessible by car, no need to walk through any souks, close to the Koutibia masjid and Jemaa El Fnaa. Has a money exchange place connected to it and most importantly, the hosts Imad & Ali were fantastic! They were very accomodating as we had requested to have breakfast slightly earlier due to having day trips booked and they were happy to provide. Theh were available everytime we needed help. Will definitely go back & stay. Cleaner did a great job everyday and the breakfast was really nice. Rooms are spacious. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so wonderful!

Cons: The pillows only - could be a little softer/ smaller otherwise everything else was superb!

Can’t recommend it enough. Furthermore, the position is great, it’s close to everything, and it’s perfect to experience Moroccan culture and traditions. We booked two trips to the desert and the pick up location was so convenient, we did not have to walk far at all! The breakfast is so rich and good! We felt safe and beyond happy. Can’t wait to come back here!

Excluent Raid with great location. I recently booked Riad Zaki for a couple American friends. Both enjoyed their two nights stay. The Riad is located at the Heart of the Medina (the old town) which makes it very convenient to walk around the old Medina. The room was ample and beautiful with typical Moroccan design and modern practicalities. Comfortable, spacious, squeaky clean. The staff were very kind and helpful and they are always there to help. I highly recommend starting at this Riad for your up coming stay in Marrakech.

The riad is bright and spacious. The staff are incredibly hospitable and helpful, especially Imad who printed our boarding passes at short notice. Breakfast served on the roof terrace. There are local shops close by for food/coffee/snacks etc

The Property was very close to the medina/market square. There was a variety of rooftop restaurants around which meant not having to look for for luck or dinner. The rooms were very clean and had AC. The staff were very attentive. Every morning they would prepare breakfast for the guests no matter what time you reached the terrace. The breakfast was ok for the price but very limited. No eggs.

Cons: On the night before we left we were informed that we had to pay a city tax and had to go back out to the cash machine to withdraw cash after a long day out. Ideally we would’ve liked to be told about this when checking in.

My stay at Riad Zaki was an exceptional experience. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The owner is such a gentleman, and I had the privilege of speaking with him over Moroccan tea. The bedroom was quiet, clean, comfortable and not to mention, beautiful! The location is VERY safe because it's located on a main street. Other riads are in narrow passageways in the medina which can feel dangerous.

Cons: The only issue that occurred was actually an issue with Booking.com. My reservation didn't show up on their system, so the owner immediately phoned a friend to have me stay at their riad for the first night. As an apology, he ordered me a free Moroccan Bath which was exceptional!

Riad Zaki is in an excellent location in the Medina (the old town), 4 min walking from Jemaa el-Fnaa and the main square and only 6 or 7 min by taxi to the new town (cost about 2 USD only) where you can find good restaurants. You can reach the Riad by car so no need to carry your luggage deep inside the Medina. The Riad is newly decorated (a traditional Moroccan style) and super clean. We stayed in a very quiet room on the second floor. The owners and the staff were extremely helpful, especially Karim and Khadiga. I should mentioned that inside Riad Zaki there is a traditional Moroccan Hamam and message with very reasonable prices, I strongly recommend it.

MAKE SURE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE RIAD IF YOU WILL ARRIVE LATE. We arrived at 1AM from the airport and the riad was CLOSED. Yes! Locked! Lights out! Everyone sound asleep. It took my tour guide and transfer driver a good 20 mins to call, knock, ring bell, talk irritated amongst themselves in Arabic, etc. Until a man opened up the door and said d everyone was asleep already. He finally let us in and took us to our room. The place itself is nice. We were only there for a night but I would definitely come back. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was simple but tasty. No fruits. Only coffee or tea, two kinds of bread slices, and a cake slice, with honey and strawberries jam and orange jam. Again, everything tasted great, but no variety. I would still recommend this riad.

LIKE: location--this is huge because it is easy to get lost in Marrakesh medina. Karim was extremely gracious.

Cons: The room was very dark. The only way to get light was to open the window. That let in the light but also the cold, noise , exhaust from cars. The breakfast was bread, bread and cake. At less fancy hotels we got cheese, yogurt, olives, eggs, something. It was difficult to get a 2nd cup of coffee. Breaky was on the roof, which is fine, but it was cold up there (January 2023). The listing said "shared Kitchen. " I chose this location for the "shared kitchen." There was NOT a shared kitchen and they seemed shocked when I asked about this.

A fantastic place to stay in, with kind and helpful staff, especially Karim and Younes, who served us breakfast earlier than 8 o'clock, when we had to leave on a one day trip. Karim helped us by booking a day trip to Ouarzazate, passing through the Atlas mountains. The breakfest is very good, with local products. Maybe for some people too sweet, but for us it was good. Breakfast is served on the terrace of the riad. The location of the riad can't be any closer , it was a few minutes walk to all the attractions. The room was clean with a big bed, TV, AC working, big shower, hot water, air dryer and wifi.

Cons: We don't have.

Location is good and well-marked. Breakfast not so good. Karim was very gracious.

Cons: Dark--the room was very dark. If you open the window to let light in, then you also let in the noise, exhaust and cold. Cold Shower--is hot water too much to ask for? We did not shower because there was no hot water. Breakfast was bread, bread and cake (all white flour items). At cheaper accomodations we had eggs, cheese, yogurt, olives. I chose the riad because the listing said, "shared kitchen," a very common feature. But then when we tried to use it , it was strictly forbidden. I just wanted to heat some water and heat some local food. So if you wanted anything you had to ask a staff who was on the ground floor and they would have to run up to the roof. So it was inconvenient for everyone.

I really liked everything. The staff were great and very polite, and location is perfect. A lot of places in Medina are not reachable with taxi because you need to walk with your luggage. This riad is easy reachable, a taxi can stop just in front of the riad. For the end of our Moroccan tour we will come back to Marrakech and we had a reservation for another riad. When we saw where it is and how scary it can be during the night to reach that riad, we canceled that reservation and changed it again to Riad Zaki because we were more than satisfied.

Cons: As a Balkan man I used to eat a lot for a breakfast so maybe for my standards breakfast can be better with more salty food.

One of the staff - yunes - was exceptionally good-hearted and attentive. He heard once that my girlfriend is vegan, kept this in mind and always provided alternatives and told us what was inside of the dishes. Also a friend who was staying in the hotel got sick after his excursion to the desert and Yunes made the sickness much more bearable. He showed a quiet place where they could recover before the next step in their trip, even after they had checked out. When we asked if we could have bread, he gave his own bread to us. And finally he arranged for a big cab for a fraction of the price, and super quickly, to the next step of our journey. If you're staying in this hotel, ask him the value of things, he will tell you the true value so you don't get tricked in the streets.

Cons: All the pillows were a bit too high. It looked pretty but surely lowered the comfort of the bed. When taking a shower the water would accumulate in the floor and not get instantly drained. Perhaps the drain should have a bigger capacity or it was just stuck in this particular time.

Not directly in the Medina so there isn’t as much congestion as the Medina. The Medina is about a 5 minute walk away. The breakfast was a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Our room was beautiful.

We returned to Riad Zaki after a few days in Agadir and were so pleased that it felt like coming home. The location is great and the Riad itself is spotless and has a lovely welcoming feel to it, it is very well maintained throughout. This was our second time staying at the Riad and once again it was a pleasant experience which was made more special by the extra care we were given by the staff especially by Zakaria who always went out of his way to cater to us and our children. The owners themselves have created a welcoming and peaceful environment which is well run but it is the day staff Zakaria and the lovely lady Hind who made our stay extra special. Travelling with young children this made all the difference and meant that we were well looked after and tested amongst the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We will definitely be recommending this Riad to family and friends.

The hotel was decorated to a high standard and room was lovely and airy. Only down point for us was the constant noise from the roads ! But I’m sore tooms on the other side of the building were quieter. Also a fridge in the room would have been handy. Apart from that we had an excellent stay with a great breakfast every morning. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We cannot give an accurate rating of our experience staying at riad Zaki because we did not spend a single night there. Upon arrival, the person who greeted us waited approximately 20 minutes to tell us that we would not be able to stay there because "there is no hot water". We were given a room in another hotel of lesser quality and price. We had to come back ourselves to ask for a compensation for the difference in price and after a rather long discussion, and the owner having to come himself and provide us with a different reason for us not staying ("renovation of rooms), they offered us a voucher for a spa session at the same riad. This spa session ended up in us waiting an extra hour because of bad arrangement from their side (once again). After a night in Essaouira, we were supposed to come back to this riad for our last night in Marrakech. The receptionist confirmed that we would be able to stay at riad Zaki for this last night. Guess what... when we arrived, we had to wait again 15 minutes to be told that the room was not available because the previous guest "had forgotten to return the key". For this night, at least, we were accommodated with a riad of the same quality. The bottom line is that probably riad Zaki had double bookings for these dates, and instead of being pro-active and transparent, they decided to handle the situation very poorly. Because of this, we lost quiet a lot of time and energy from our holidays, but hey, we got a lot of free mint tea.

Great location; very close to main plaza and Medina area; not hard to find. Check in was smooth with a Moroccan tea welcome drink. Breakfast is different kinds of breads, yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea...enough for us. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Hammam experience was nice but I would have liked a lot more pressure for the relaxing massage. The room was not cleaned while we were there, and that is okay, but there was only 1 waste basket and that filled up quickly with four of us in the room. We also didn't find any toiletries upon arrival and had to ask for soap. Wifi was very iffy the first day and a half, and was practically inaccessible in the room. The building itself is very nice and the rooms are well kept. All in all it was a nice stay.

Came back yesterday from the Riad Zaki, absolutely beautiful, arrived earlier than the official check in time and they didn’t even bet an eyelid, showed us to our room straight away, large bed, plenty of wardrobe space, it was cold in Marrakech but the riad had heating in the room so couldn’t even tell. After reading other reviews we weren’t looking forward to the breakfast but were pleasantly surprised, it is served in the courtyard and is quite basic but filling, fresh orange juice, coffee, pancakes, crumpets, cake, various jams, honey and butter. The location is very good, just turn right at the entrance and walk straight down for 10-15 minutes and you arrive at the djemma al fenna and the koutoubia mosque.

Our recommendation of Riad Zaki would include the advice to insist on an internal room. On our first night we overlooked the narrow street on which the hotel was situated, noisy vwith cars and mopeds and with very bad traffic fumes. The owners apologised that they could not move us until the following day, which they did and the rest of our stay was more pleasant. The room was clean with a large bed and a good bathroom with shower. The lighting was annnoyingly dim, it was hard to read, but I think this is a local characteristic. Breakfast was adequate, various breads, jam and honey, yoghurt, banana or other dishes on request, with orrange juice, coffee or tea, served in the central open courtyard. Service by the staff was friendly and helpful.

Riad Zaki was beautiful! We were greeted with the local tea and the owner Zaki was extremely helpful in directing us where to go! We were a 10 minute walk from the centre where all the souks and restaurants were.

The location felt unsafe; reception could not speak English; no soap, glasses in room. Only 1 other guest. We just transferred to the Radisson Hotel. ASAP. Better pay more and feel safe. The Riad(house) was otherwise beautiful Much smaller than in the ad.

Riad Zaki, staff, nothing but excellent, the moment you walk into the Riad you're greeted with a smile, the attention to detail from the staff is like non I've every seen. You're not a room number as you would be at the big hotel chain, you're a person and they know you by name. As you walk into your room, you get the feel of Morocco, you really do feel like you're in a special place. Breakfast was an early morning treat to start our day, did not matter what time we came down for breakfast, it was ready. Not like the big chain hotels where they say if you're not downstairs by 10, you don't eat. :) The massages were wonderful, we both had two. one of our biggest pleasure of staying at the Riad Zaki was the owner Zaki, he absolutely spoiled us, he was so accommodating. He takes great pride in customer service and making sure that his guest and well taken care of. He spends my hours at his Riad, so we always saw him and every time he would invite us for tea, thank you Zaki for all the wonderful things to did to enhance our stay and to make us feel as though we were at the home of a family member. I'm going to say this to everyone who reads this, , if you go to Marrakech and don't stay at the Riad Zaki, you'll be making a big mistake

The riad was even more beautiful than we had expected, and we loved our enormous bed, air con and stained glass windows. The breakfasts were huge and delicious, too, usually with pastries or pancakes, toast and coffee. The staff were very efficient and polite. They ask if you'd like them to clean your room that day, which I didn't mind as it meant they didn't waste water by needlessly washing everything every day like some hotels do!
