The place lived up to the description and pictures, and the staff were all absolutely amazing and went out of their way to be helpful (in particular Sam who also gave us directions for city). The breakfast was great, the room cleaning was timely and we really enjoyed the pool. Overall, the place is value for money and I would highly recommend it. Andrea K
Cons: It would of been helpful to have a small fridge in the room, but the staff did let us leave our drinks in their main fridge to keep them cool.

The Riad was beautiful, as seen in the pictures, and in a very good location within a few minutes distance from the market. The best thing was for sure the staff and their hospitality. Sam and the rest of the people made us feel like home and helped us a lot with any questions, queries for taxis and tips for going around. I highly recommend this place and for sure I would visit it again!

Riad Romance was a lovely place to stay, with a warm & welcoming team who went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable & authentic stay in this 17th century Riad. Everything about the facilities was clean and there were nice touches. Nothing was too much trouble, with Sami and her team on hand for anything we needed including arranging day trip experiences (we were offered these when our pre planned ones via trip advisor were cancelled last minute)...all you need to do is ask! Tucked away in the Medina of Marrakech, you'd be forgiven for being uncertain about the location on first arriving but as soon as you step through the main door you're in a private oasis away from the hustle & bustle. Choosing to eat in on several evenings we were provided with the most incredible delicious authentic food. There's no menu, just a chat about what you might like to try and et voila ..... it's made for you. Riad Romance is a short & easy walk to Place Ben Youssef & then onto the souks & main square in the Medina and you'll be glad of that at the end of your explorations! We will certainly be back and choosing Riad Romance as our place to stay when we do.
Cons: Unfortunately there was some building works happening around the Riad at the time of our stay but we are understanding that this happens and it didn't detract from our opinion of Riad Romance & it's team.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room serviced every day.
Cons: Not as close to The Medina as described. Intimidating location. Don’t ask for directions or you’ll be threatened for money for simply showing you the way to The Riad. If threatened say you’ll call the police and they should back away. Probably ok for families and groups. Not so much for solo travellers.

The location and staff are fantastic. Once we booked Sam, got in touch to arrange a taxi from the airport to the Riad. On arrival we had drinks provided with a warm welcome. Our rooms was lovely and the peace and quiet in the riad is amazing. I spent many an afternoon relaxing by the pool after our day time adventures. Breakfast everyday is substantial and varied. It includes tea and coffee with freshly squeezed orange juice. We had, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, bread, crepes and even cake!

Sam was an extremely friendly and helpful host. She arranged for airport pick up (20 euro). The great location of the road lets you be in a perfect spot in the Medina, where the taxi drops you off only a few meters from the front door. We were able to check in early! The beds have real duvets and not just sheets. Very comfortable. The whole Riad is decorated beautifully and spotless clean. Breakfast was amazing. Each guest group gets their breakfast served at the table, with yoghurt, traditional Moroccan fried bread, eggs, pancakes…something slightly different each day. Also VERY quiet even though you are close to everything. 9 min max walk to all attractions. Through the souk. Pool and air conditioning were perfect after walking in the heat.Great stay!
Cons: This is not even something that was negative, just good to know. The pool is shallow and not highly chlorinated (which did not make it feel like a European pool) but it felt clean! This was our first stay in a Riad so we learned that most riads don’t have glass panels on the windows. And the only windows face the courtyard. This makes the rooms darker ( but cozy). I think it’s just a cultural surprise 🙂

Central, quiet, Samira most helpful. Staff courteous. Pool a plus but a little cold.
Cons: Not enough hanging in wardrobe. Hanging rail seems weak and sagging. No shelves or drawers to put underwear and other folded tops shorts etc. Bathroom not enough shelf rack and especially hooks for used bath towels (but I think staff gave fresh everyday which is environmentally speaking unnecessary to conserve water usage and heat to dry?) or used clothes to air…Safe v small and high up for easy access

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. When we had an early morning start for one of our excursions that staff walked us to the drop off point which made us feel really secure. The location of the riad was convenient as it wasn't in the bustle of the tourist hotspot but still close enough to see things. The building was very nice, although we didn't use the pool it was a lovely view to see in the mornings. The airport transfers were super convenient
Cons: One afternoon we saw a family being coerced for money in the surrounding area. Whilst this shouldn't be a reflection of the property it made us feel on edge upon approaching our riad, as mentioned earlier the staff escorting us in the morning abated our concerns.

The location of the Riad was perfect, near to the main square and markets but nice and secluded enough to be peaceful and quiet. The staff were really helpful and welcoming, contact with the staff prior to visiting was impeccable which made our arrival smooth. The room was exactly what you need, and there’s a lovely terrace on the roof where you can relax. We had breakfast everyday which was delicious and very filling, I would recommend having the breakfast at the Riad as it can be overwhelming finding somewhere to eat in the main square- especially in the morning. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you knew your way around the city, by providing maps and helping you download off-line maps. I would recommend booking your transfers to and from the airport and Riad through the Riad, they have their own taxi service which takes you straight to the door. I used a local taxi and they dropped us off a 10 minute walk from the Riad and due to having no data it was tricky to find.

Sam and Youssef have such a perfect Riad in Marrakesh. My cousin and I truly enjoyed our stay with them, and benefited hugely from the rooftop terrace and pool! Every member of staff we met were so so friendly and tried to help whenever they could! The Riad allowed us to check in early when the room was free, and allowed a late checkout to accommodate our flight home! And super kindly, gave us a room upgrade as my cousins birthday passed just recently! Sam - thank you again for welcoming us so warmly and helping us out with printing airport documentation, and checking up on us/giving us recommendations - you truly are the best! Can’t wait to visit again soon for longer and stay at Riad Romance! :)

Like the House Buntings that roost in the trees by the pool, we found the riad a haven of tranquility. The pool was perfect for refreshing during the heat of the day before setting out again for the evening. Amazing location, right in the heart of the city. Breakfast, bread, egg, olives, cake, coffee, orange juice, mint tea. More than enough to keep you going through the day. The riad is at the end of a covered alley accessible from the Arset Bardi Jdida or the Derb Hart Essoura. Management happy to organise taxi which will get you closer to the door than if you organise it yourself, for a price. Access is by ringing the door bell only. It is quite high up the wall, out of the reach of little people. Good WiFi signal even outside the front door. Management use WhatsApp to stay in touch with guests.
Cons: We didn’t sample dinner at the riad, slightly put off by the price. I am sure it would have been lovely but there are so many other options. Room benefitted from a good airing on our arrival.

We had an amazing stay at Riad Romance. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely team and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is superb - walking distance from most places and a taxi can be arranged if needed. The only thing to be aware of, is that the taxi cannot drop you off at the door, so you need to be prepared to walk a short distance from the drop off - although there is always someone to guide you, so you don't need to find your own way. I can honestly say this was a home from home. The breakfast was lovely and we had dinner on the rooftop on our first evening which was amazing (you just need to arrange in advance). Lovely poll to cool off in after a hot day of sightseeing! Can't wait to come back!

This beautiful Riad is a quiet oasis inside the busy Medina. The kind and helpful hosts welcomed us with Moroccan tea, gave us good advice on placees to visit, and told us to feel at home. Al the staff were very kind and made us feel at home. We were happy that the breakfast also included eggs, pancakes and fresh orange juice. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace. There is a nice area with shade and mattresses with a view of the snowcapped mountains and over the city. We enjoyed the pool, both for a quick swim, and it is also makes it more cosy to sit out in the courtyard in the evening. They are building an extra rooftop terrace on higher level, so I'm sure it will be even better once that is finished.
Cons: There is no water boiler in the room to make coffee during the day. That might be nice to have. But we managed fine without. We could ask for the delicious Moroccan tea whenever we wanted.

Location was good, within walking distance of the main medina parts. Hosts and staff were very kind and helpful (e.g. arranging airport transfers, printing boarding passes), we really felt being taken care off. The riad truly is a calm and quite place which is nice after the medina hectic.
Cons: Suggestion to add a chair to the room, for putting a few things on or relax on something else than the bed.

The riad is a small piece of quiet paradise in a vibrant city. It is extremely well situated with easy access to great restaurants and a short walk from all the tourist places. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. You cannot find a better place than this!

A beautiful riad. Both the owners and staff make you feel at home and are incredibly nice and helpful. The owners speak fluent English and the staff (including the owners) consists of 4-5 people. There is always someone there to help and the limited number of people make it very safe. Breakfast was extensive and something new was served every day. Everything was fresh and delicious. There is a very nice rooftop terrace with comfortable seating as well as sun loungers. Parts of the terrace are covered and provide shade.
Cons: Could not be better.

The breakfast was amazing. Location was further away from the Medina, and a bit harder to find. But that was fine for me, because the medina is too chaotic and noisy anyway. Host called a taxi from the bus station and a transfer to the airport for us, which was convenient.
Cons: It can be a little too hard to find. Despite the host's very good directions and even well annotated map, it is a bit far. Walking at night isn't too bad, but it's not ideal. I got charged city tax per guest at the end. Not sure why I wasn't informed about this before. I didn't have this at the other hotel and hostel I stayed at in Marrakech.

The hotel staff, especially Samira, looked after us like their own family, arranging a trip to the Sahara and transport with a private driver. I highly recommend

Everything was great, starting from the staff (Davina is very nice) the room and the pool area. Peaceful and quiet. All very clean. Davina helped us a lot by giving directions and to book the shuttles to the Aeroport.

Riad Romance is a pearl in the heart of Marrakech. Sam and Youness are owners who make you feel at home, always available for anything you might need. Spectacular room, very clean and stylishly decorated. Dinner at the Riad is definitely worth trying!

Our first time in Marrakesh. We spent three days at Romance Riad. Lovely place, for us a real oasi of quiteness in the chaotic life of Marrakesh. A special thanks to Samira (the host) and her team who made us feel like home, always caring about our requests and questions. We will be back soon! Recommended 👍🏻
