It’s nice and clean, the Riad is lovely, and the breakfast was ok.

Cons: The room was really dark, which made it very humid. The first day they didn’t clean the room. It’s located in an unclean messy alley. The staff was nice and helped us booking a Taxi.

We had a great stay in this traditional Moroccan Riad which is located in the heart of Medina and providing great access to all the key locations within. Moha our host was fabulous and helped us with some key information and have been very supportive during our stay. I will definitely recommend the Riad whoever intends to experience the tradition and hustle bustle of Medina.

The pottery is located close to main attraction/Medina.

Cons: The riad is quite old and our room felt cold and damp, which made the stay uncomfortable. Breakfast was very poor and our request for a savory breakfast (no sweet buns) was ignored the following day. The staff member Moha was unwelcoming from the moment we arrived and did not provide a proper welcome. The worst part happened at check-out: we were suddenly told we had not paid the city tax and were asked to enter full card details including the security code (CVV) on a laptop, which felt inappropriate and unsafe. We were then told to withdraw cash from an ATM, but due to withdrawal limits and ATM fees we could not take enough money out. To make things worse, we were threatened with being reported to local authorities over a small remaining amount. This ruined what was meant to be my birthday trip. I would not recommend this riad.

Staff was very nice. Moha was very welcoming, kind and helpful. Riad itself is located in a quiet area, easy to walk to medina, so location was perfect for me. Rooftop terrace is nice to enjoy the sunset

Cons: Staying at riad is more of a summer thing, I guess. As I visited in January, it was pretty chill in the room even when I turned on the AC. The towels were clean but felt damp, I believe because of humidity and not drying well enough when the temperature is low

Location 5 /5 Staff 10 /5 Always helpful with every single request and advice about how to avoid some of the common problems tourist might encounter (unofficial guides/ help that is not help). Cleanliness 4/5 Bed and pillows 5/5

Cons: The lighting in the room was bit dark and made the room feel a bit like a cave. I had a room on the top floor. Great for sleeping but not so much for lounging and reading. The construction of the riad with it's inner court yard means that voices echo somewhat and guests sitting and lounging may not be aware. This means occasionally it was noisy. The occasional smell of cat urine near the entry to the riad.

The quietness, it’s small size, and the so stylish and in line with the local decor it was. Also, the personnel kindness and support was “tops”.

Beautifully decorated Riad, a very welcome escape from the dusty winding streets and minutes from the street markets. The hot air from the AC was very welcome. Breakfast was nice and set us up for the day. The hotel organised a pick up from the airport, which was competitively priced.

Cons: If you do stay in the old town, I would recommend getting a SIM card at the airport - if you won't have coverage - so you can find your way around from the start and can be independent. I would never have been able to get back without it.

I had such a fabulous time at Riad Azzouna 13. I would definitely stay here again. The riad is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Moha made my stay so lovely. Bringing me coffee in the morning etc. I truly appreciated his efforts. The lamb tagine by the fire was a definite highlight. So incredibly delicious - and the ambience was superb. Thank you Moha for a wonderful stay.

Cons: I think maybe the AC wasn't working properly. I had it set to 30 degrees, but was freezing the whole time. This wasn't the case when I stayed at Riad Azzouna 13 a few days prior, in a different room. So I think it was just an issue with the AC in that room. The water was also not hot for the bath, and the bath plug was missing! I'm sure these things could be easily fixed, to make the experience even better.

They guided us to our taxi when we left but to be honest meeting us when we arrived would have been a bonus! Great location for us to walk everywhere - close to Maison des Photographes which was one of our favourite places.

Cons: Honesty fridge for cold drinks would be nice. So you could take them up to the terrace.

The Riad was nice and cozy as you see in the pictures. It is a small and simple riad that feel like home of a friend. It is not too far from car drop off, and close to many attractions and nice restaurants. Overall a nice place to stay for exploring Marrakesh medina.

Cons: The dinner at hotel was nice and convenient for us as we arrived late and tired. However, 25 euro/person for soup, a piece of chicken thight and pouched pear excluding water/drink was a bit too simple. Do some homework and you will get a nice meal at a nice restaurant nearby at the same price. Prepare some drinking water, the riad didn't give you any in the room. Otherwise you can buy it at 20 dihram instead of 6 dihram from small shop outside. Make sure you count your change when pay with cash. My bill was 840 dihram and I gave the staff 1000 dihram. I got 35 dihram change. Even you fail math, there is no way the change can end with 5!!! I did ask for the correct amount and got it back right away. Make sure you book the transfer with the riad. I booked a car at 200 dihram and the arrival was smooth. The driver waited for us at the arrival terminal. The staff picked us from the car to riad. On check out day, we leaved by using free transfer of another hotel. The staff did talk to the driver and gave him the direction for pick up. However, we had to carry our lugguage down from the second floor ourself, had to get porter for our luguage to the car, and had to look around the area to find the car on our own. The staff decided to leave us even he could spare his 15 minutes to help us. So, becareful and plan ahead.

Gorgeous, cozy Riad that's right in the center of old town and easy walking distance to everything The staff were extremely kind, courteous and helpful and made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Breakfast was great and I highly recommend taking advantage of dinner there on your first night - some of the best tagine we had!

Cons: There's nothing that we didn't like but a couple of things to keep in mind. The room on the ground floor doesn't have windows. It's not an issue, and it's comfortable and cozy. Just remember to set your alarm if you need to be up early. There's a 4 minute walk from where you can be dropped off. Again, it was not an issue as the hosts kindly came to meet us and then helped us get a taxi when we left.

Elegance of a true Riad in the desert city of Marrakech, subdued colours & textures, soaring room ceilings, comfortable beds, intricate doors & window architecture, the beautiful white carved walls you’ll see in the Riad soar high into the centre of the courtyard all so very beautifully presented that exudes a relaxing vibe, with a perfect warm & welcoming host - Moha I especially loved the romance of the intimate breakfast porticos for each room with fresh roses & a bubbling fountain were a grand setting for a lovely breakfast The rooftop terrace is exquisite, decor very sublime, quiet areas with lovely tones of the desert 🌵 A stunning night sky awaits you as the sun sets serenely over this exotic destination AZZOUNA 13 is your escape from the noise & chaos of the nearby Jmaa Al Fna souq. Thick walls to the outside world cocoon you as you sleep peacefully The shower has soaring ceilings providing an abundance of hot steamy showers, airconditioning as you wish, resting in excellent secure ambiance Housekeeping lady was gentle & caring, always with a warm smile. Discretion of this Riad’s existence is merely a number above a beautiful wooden door in a safe & easily accessible location. A perfect choice for your stay in this exotic, chaotic & atmospheric city called Marrakesh WHATSAPP is your connection locally to your every need, download before you arrive

Pleasant stay. Most friendly staff. Very clean. Nice food. Nice rooftop. Definitely a place to come back to. Maybe just one tip, if you travel early in the year(we travelled in march), good to know that the patio is covered with a transparant plastic sealing. It keeps the area clean and warm but I personally missed fresh air.

If you’re looking for a beautifully stylish riad at an affordable price, Azzouna 13 is the perfect choice! Like all riads, finding the entrance can be an adventure – you might lose yourself in the maze of alleyways, dodge speeding scooters, or even encounter a few persistent beggars – but that’s all part of Marrakech’s magical charm and unique identity. Hicham and Moha, the hosts, were exceptionally kind and made us feel at home throughout our stay. Thank you!

First things first, Hicham is an incredible host. He is very accommodating and funny. He explained every detail in the riad specially about the riad room where we are staying at. Since this was our first time to Marrakesh he made our stay memorable one. My first impression on Riad Azzouna 13 was quite squeaky clean. As we enter the riad for the first time, we were amazed. What we saw on the picture posted on Expedia was exactly the same, except it was better in person. The furnitures were well hand picked and well matched. I would say Riad Azzouna 13 has a good taste when it comes to internal design. As a guest for 4 nights, we felt we stayed in a luxury hotel. The riad smelled fresh all the time during our stay. The guess room is well equipped. It has everything we needed for our stay. The guest room was amazing and super clean. Trust me, the place is better in person. You got to check it out. The location of the riad is perfect. Everything is near by and it’s just walking distance to the souk and restaurants. We will definitely come back.

The situation in the neighbourhood Kaat Benahid is good since it is close to a number of good museums and restaurants.

Cons: I found it annoying that I was bombarded with mails concerning transport to the riad upon arrival and about the meal the first night. I have lived in Morocco and didn't need the transport service of the riad, but the riad kept asking me about this and didn't answer answer my question regarding the location where to take a taxi (Place Moukef). Also, the riad was very insistent on us having a meal claiming that it was much much better than anywhere else. In fact, the meal we had was not vey good and could not match the excellent meals at nearby restaurants. Generally, it seemed to be a typical riad owned by a foreigner (French, payment went directly to 'ChezSophie') not caring much for neither the guests nor the staff but only intersted in the business aspect. The room had bad light for reading and the shower had no handhold shower head which can be quite convenient if you catch a bad stomach which happens quite often in Morocco - or if you are a woman with your period.

Dinner was good and the cook very friendly. Design is good even though I am not sure when they last washed the pillows outside.

Cons: I had to wait outside for over five minutes even though I informed them about my arrival time as the guy inside was sleeping. This has been a very bad experience. An elegant and peaceful Riad which feels very authentic. The location is perfect for exploring the Medina, and is near to a taxi place. Our stay at Riad Azzouna13 was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted with mint tea. The check-in was seamless, and the riad's beauty and tranquility immediately impressed us. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The attentive staff, especially Hicham, were always ready to assist with any request, whether arranging a Medina tour or transport. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the amazing kitchen staff, featuring freshly baked pastries, fruit, and traditional Moroccan dishes. The riad’s location was perfect for exploring Marrakech, just a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa square and the souks. Despite its central location, the riad was peaceful and a welcome escape from the city's hustle and bustle. In conclusion, Riad Azzouna13 exceeded our expectations with its blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Moroccan charm. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Riad Azzouna 13. It’s a beautiful riad that provides a peaceful retreat from the vibrant streets of Marrakesh. The second you step into the property, a beautiful sight accompanied with a magnificent smell create a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with traditional Moroccan tea and biscuits, a welcoming gesture that set the tone for my stay. This small but significant touch made me feel instantly at home and immersed in the local culture. The room I stayed in, Suite Manzeh Jouj, was stunning! Though it seemed too dark at first, when the sun is out, the light reflects through the walls of the riad and makes it bright enough. High ceilings, beautiful decor, the black and white aesthetic and golden bathroom — I loved! Very spacious and stylish. The continental breakfast included in the room rate was decent, but I feel like it was missing more fruits. Despite some minor flaws, the charm and beauty of Riad Azzouna 13, along with its location and serene ambiance, made my stay memorable. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience with a touch of luxury, this riad is definitely worth considering. Just be prepared for a little adventure finding it and a bit of a walk to get to the heart of the Medina.

Cons: There were some minor details that did not quite meet the four-star standard or the price paid. I noticed a few dirty carpets, worn-out furniture (which could add to the rustic feel, but still), and stains on the bathrobe. These small issues slightly lowered my overall satisfaction, as my expectations were a bit higher. One thing to note is that it’s very hidden and I had trouble finding the riad as there were no signs outside. It’s also quite a walk to get to the riad. While it seems to be in the Medina, it’s actually 10 min walk away from the central market area. This distance can be exhausting, especially if you’re carrying your luggage through the Medina traffic. On the positive side, this location offers a peaceful and quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle.

The staff were very helpful and getting to the riad was straightforward.

Cons: The look and feel of the riad in person did not match our expectations from the pictures online. It probably was a stunning riad in its early days. Definitely needs sprucing up. Towels and sheets looked a bit worn out. Overall ambiance was not great. The room had very little natural light - that plus the moody lighting of the room meant it was very dark in the room during the day. I have stayed at several riads in Marrakech and sadly this one I would not return to.

What I like the most about the property is the aesthetic. Even if I thought the room will be bigger, it was true to the photo. I really like the Moroccan aesthetic and all the details

Cons: I did not like the location. It is true it was in the downtown but the accessibility is not evident and it is difficult to find the riad. Also the riad is in the souk so if you like noise and if for you it doesn’t matter to walk and be push by moto, that is simple. But for me, it was hard to get around and to go outside with heels for example.

It was an even longer trek to a spot where you can get a taxi or meet an excursion van. The roads are cobbled, dirty, and crowded and it's a shlep dragging your luggage through it. There was also no elevator, so dragging our luggage upstairs to our room was a hassle too. The rooms were also very dark.

Clean and Quiet Riad within walking distance to the main place (jamaa el fena). The manager Moha was really helpful.

Cons: Even though the location is quite central, it felt a bit insecure during night time. Not a big deal, but would wish a bigger mirror in the room.

the bed was comfortable and friendly staff. great breakfast also!

Cons: abit of a walk from main square and would not recommend for solo travellers walking at night. the showers drain was not good and flooded the whole room- sorted out by taking the metal cover out as told by staff- they could've warned us first though as we had to mop the wet floor ourselves.

I appreciate, how fast the check-in process was. Moha is such a caring host. Made sure, we find the riad when arriving, walked my friend to her taxi in the early morning, walked to a taxi with me and negotiated the price. And his English was great. We truly appreciate him!

Cons: The water fountain was off most of the time, due to a small repair. It would have been nicer to see and hear the water flow. It would have been nice to have eggs for breakfast - but it's not a big deal.

Moha was the Riad manager and he was amazing and a great help arranging everything from a nice dinner to airport pickup. pretty much if you have any issues just go to him. also the property is extraordinary and beautiful with beautiful designs and it’s got a magical and calm ambiance to it, makes you forget about the bustling and chaotic streets right outside the door in Marrakech.

Cons: nothing really. wish I could stay a couple more days so I could try out their hammam. next time I guess

The hot water is amazing! I traveled in Marrakech for few days, it’s the first time I felt the totally warm when I had shower. And also I chose the riad cuz of the indoor design. It’s simple but delicate. It is really sweet to get the heater mat for bed. That is a big surprise for us!

Cons: It’s almost perfect.

Moha was exceptional, meeting us with a warm welcome and set up for my Husband and I a romantic and delicious Tagine dinner for us upon arrival. We opted for the airport transfer which was very organized. Moha provided us with everything we needed. The Riad was a safe and quiet haven amidst the chaos and hustle and bustle of the Medina. We looked forward to our return from our eventful days, every night. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and had everything we needed to power us up for the day filled with activities. There was a nice rooftop terrace where you could enjoy breakfast or an afternoon tea. The Riad is a conveniently located walking distance from most attractions. Getting around was very easy since we used google maps. Moha also provided us with a map detailing the attractions we were interested in visiting. He also took the time to describe where certain attractions were. We really appreciated that Moha gave us tips on how to make the most of our stay and avoid scams.

Cons: The wifi was a bit slow, but that didn’t matter much since we spent the majority of the day away from the Riad. We realized there wasn’t a TV, iron, or safe once we checked in, but that was our fault since we should’ve read the room description more carefully.

First of all, we want to thank our Hosts Moha and Jihane, the souls of this wonderful Riad for their hospitality and kindess. The support and service they made was exceptional, obliging and very helpful for our stay. The riad is tastefully decorated, the breakfast is very good and the terrace is wonderful to relax,to join sunrise and sunset. The riad is perfectly situated in the heart of the medina near to the main attractions like the markets in a very quiet neighbourhood. In sum: Perfect!

Everything was perfect. Loved our room and design of the building overall. Great rooftop area where to chill and relax. Wifi was good. We enjoyed the breakfast and the dinner on the first night. Moha and everyone else was so nice all the time and welcomed us like a family. They even managed with our luggage to another riad while we were on the day trip.

Cons: Maybe if two person love to take looong hot showers, they would run out of hot water, but we managed nicely. Wish we would have spend more time there!

The room was really pretty and the host was very attentive to us and very responsive even before we arrived. He took care of us very well throughout our stay. The location is also pretty close to the main Jemaa el fna square and souk (15 min walk) so very convenient to explore around.

Cons: The room could use a bit more lightning and a full size mirror in the bedroom instead of just a small mirror in the bathroom. The temperature was too warm sometimes.

Best shout out to Moha - he was truly helpful and supportive to all the guests. I don't speak French and Arabic so it is good to have someone who can explain and bridge the language barrier. Moha is the man for the job. The hotel is beautifully designed, clean, instagrammable for the new millennials and we feel at home. I am travelling with my mum, so a relaxing and peaceful riad like the Azzouna 13 gave us the proper reset from London and a serene vibe after traveling all day around the bustling wonderful Marakkech. We will definitely be back!

Cons: There is a small walk from the riad to the car (the main road) - I already expected it from the reviews. The hotel staff have kindly offered and assisted in picking / dropping us to the car from our late check in/ early morning check out.

We loved how this Riad was decorated. It's very stylish and well-designed, with an eye for detail. It oozes peace and tranquility when you step into this Riad. The breakfast was also amazing! Lots of local products and very tasty.

Cons: We were a bit disappointed by the help we got/didn't get from the staff. It felt like everything we asked for came with an excessively high price tag. (airport transfer and additional transport) For example, Asking for 90 euros for transport to another city is so far off standard pricing... certainly knowing that we asked for a grand taxi, not a private shuttle.

I initially booked for a couple nights because it was my first time booking a riad and I didn’t know what to expect, upon arrival I extended my stay for the remainder of my trip and honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The riad is absolutely stunning with such a beautiful team holding it together and ensuring our stay from the moment we booked was pleasant. It was safe and secure, cleaning was carried out daily, breakfast was always freshly prepared and dinner was also available upon request which we tried and it was honestly the BEST tagine I’ve had! I can’t recommend this riad enough it was perfect and the staff really do make it what it is. Can’t wait to visit again xx

We only stayed in this property for a limited time, 45 minutes at most. The receptionist Sadik, was very informative and friendly. He recommended a few things for us to do while in Morocco. However we didn’t end up not staying at this property, due to the condition of the Riad. It was very inconvenient to get there with limited transportation. The property itself looked runned-down and not in optimal shape. Seeing the images on the site and the actual property was very disappointing. The sheets and carpet in the room did not look sanitary at all. The bathroom floors were dusty. It was overall a very disappointing experience because we had to book a different place to stay, right there and then.

Ontzettend behulpzame en vriendelijke gastheren. Kamers zijn net en worden dagelijks schoongemaakt. Dagelijks schone, frisse handdoeken.

Riad Azzouna 13 is a very beautiful, charming & peaceful sanctuary. Unfortunately, I only stayed my 1st night in Maarakech because I was meeting a group for a 10 day retreat the next day. But it was the perfect place to begin my trip, and everything about my stay there was wonderful...from the airport pickup they arranged, to the delicious home cooked dinner they prepared for me, and breakfast in the morning. And the manager Sadik is a gem! So sweet, genuine in making sure you are comfortable & very helpful with recommendations.

If you’re like us and arrive in the evening it’s a little daunting, as to get to the Riad you have to walk through a busy market area then 2 streets. The manager meets you at the car though and we were completely aware of this before booking because it said it on the description area. By the first morning of venturing out we were fine, the souks are literally 10 mins walk away which is AH-MAZING. The manager Sadik is brilliant, very helpful, polite and you can tell he genuinely likes his job. On the first evening we didn’t have the correct plugs to charge our phones and he went out to get them for us, which is so very kind. He knows fluent English which of course is very helpful. Sadly I’m unsure of the names of whom else worked there but they were also kind, polite and anything we asked they got. The Riad itself is very clean, there are odd jobs that could be done to improve e.g tile near fountain slightly cracked but that’s me being very picky and highlighting it’s not perfect but it’s lovely. There is no TV in the room, no kettle etc- but on holiday I would be shocked if you would want to watch TV! We love tea and whenever we needed tea or anything they would make it, we even had sheesha in the Riad a couple of times. The breakfast is simple but nice, egg, Moroccan pancakes or bread, fresh condiments honey, jam, marmalade, yogurt etc. It is basically like a home away from home! Hope this is helpful! Thanks again Sadik and the team. See you soon🙂

In my 30 plus years of travel I have never had an experience as great as Azzouna 13. From the time we stepped into the Riad to the time we left the personal service from Sadik was unmatched. Anything you needed Sadik would make it happen. When we stepped off the busy streets of Marrakech it felt like we were in another place. The Riad was quiet, private and serene. The room had everything we needed and was clean. We felt at home whether we were lounging downstairs in the reception area or upstairs on the rooftop terrace. Our breakfasts and dinners at the Riad were delicious. We also ate at three of the restaurants Sadik recommended and were more than happy with them. Sadik always made us feel at home. The souks and restaurants were a stone's throw away. Loved Azzouna 13. Would definitely stay there again.

Staying here was a wonderful experience. It was beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Sadik the house manager did everything to make our stay fun and comfortable. We had dinner at the riad two nights and the food was outstanding! We were served breakfast daily consisting of fresh fruits, breads, yogurt, eggs, juice, tea, coffee, etc. The room was very comfortable with air conditioning and plenty of space. Sadik helped us plan our days including where to go and how to get there, restaurants for lunch and dinner, making reservations for excursions and transportation. We went to the gardens, palace, museums, the square, and on a camel ride through the palms

Wonderful stay at this riad. We were welcomed by Sadik who was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he was always smiling!! The riad is just perfection!! So peaceful and quiet when you've had a busy day exploring, lots of areas to sit and chill with a nice coffee or Moroccan tea. The breakfasts were lovely, and served at whatever time suited us rather than being tied down to set times which was perfect! Sadik helped recommend some 'must sees' and circled them on a large map and he also recommended an 'app' to download which helped us find our way around the city. This was so useful so definitely recommend. If the locals see that your lost, they will insist on leading you the way, but they will demand money upon our arrival to wherever your going. We learnt our lesson after day 1 and had to be more confident and just say 'no thank you'. After a couple of days we started to find our way around the winding paths and felt really comfortable, (travelled as group of 3 girls). Only time we got hassle was when we wondered through food markets at night in the square , as they are all trying to get you to eat in their stall. Again, just be firm and avoid eye contact and you'll be fine!! Overall I had the best 4nts, a very memorable experience, and I would definitely travel again and recommend. I've travelled to many countries and this has to be one of favourite trips.

The only draw back was that we went during the peak of summer, and the air conditioning struggled at times, but otherwise it was a great experience.
