Die Atmosphäre des Riad ist aussergewöhnlich. Jedes Zimmer hat einen eigenen Charakter und ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Da wir eine Gruppe von 9 Personen waren, haben wir die gemeinschaftlich genutzten Räume sehr geschätzt. Das Personal des Riad ist unglaublich zuvorkommend und versucht, den Gästen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Vor allen Dingen kann ich auch ein Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen. Bei schönem Wetter gibt es eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit Blick über die Medina - sehr empfehlenswert.

We loved every minute we spent in this riad, whether on the sunny terrace or the comfortable bed. The breakfast was nicely prepared and you have several choices. The alley where it faces is quiet yet close to the excitement of the center. Smail, Yunis and Soulaimane are always incredibly attentive. The entire premise is very clean and set for comfortable temperature which is essential after sunset in late November. In the salon where you have breakfast, there's a fireplace with nice fire which adds even more ambience. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Das Frühstück wurde à la Carte serviert, war sehr gut und vielseitig, es konnte alles geordert werden ohne Extrakosten. Das Riad war sehr schön, sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Das Personal war excellent (Mustafa, Younes, Ismail, Suleiman) und hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Einziges Manko, weswegen es keine 10 Punkte gab, lag daran, dass die Zimmer etwas zu dunkel waren, und vor allem so gut wie kein Tageslicht vorhanden war. Das ist zwar in den Riads im Allgemeinen so, aber ein wenig mehr wäre schön gewesen. Das fehlende Tageslicht könnte man durch eine durchdachte, bessere Beleuchtung in den Griff kriegen. Ansonsten war alles sehr gut, auch der Aufenthaltsraum mit großem TV und Couch und die Dachterrasse haben wir genossen.

Die Unterkunft war MEGA! Die Mitarbeiter unglaublich lieb, hilfsbereit und haben einem immer mit dem Namen angesprochen. We loved our stay at La Claire Fontaine. It was an oasis of calm and comfort, and the staff anticipated every need we might have had. No requests were ever too much for the kind people there. Breakfast every morning was delicious and was served with smiles, kindness, professionalism and friendliness. Excursions, taxi transportation and recommendations for restaurants and things to do were offered freely and with a smile by all. The attention to detail in the decor, artwork and comfort of the ryad was lovely. The terrace on the top floor was a great place to wind down after a busy day in Marrakesh. We had dinner there our first evening and it was delicious.

We were traveling with our 2-year-old son, and the staff were truly amazing with him. They were warm, gentle, and incredibly attentive, making him feel just as welcome and cared for as we were. This riad is in the maze of the old town, not reachable by car directly (2 min walk to the pickup point), but it's a true heaven. Every inches of the guest rooms are full of exoticism and details. The most wonderful thing is Mustafa's hospitality.

So many compliments about this place come easily but let me begin by noting that the staff here will truly exceed your expectations. We had a few issues and requests that were related more to our trip and to Marrakech itself than our stay at La Claire Fontaine and without exception each of the four staff we contacted helped us with our requests. Seriously, it made a lasting impression when sometimes you can get a bit cynical and jaded traveling a lot. I would definitely stay there again.

Impeccable service!!! Mustafa, Soulymane and Smile were all incredibly kind, patient and helpful. Mustafa helped us get checked in early which was sooo helpful because we had an early morning flight and were so tired lol soulymane helped me download offline maps and gave so many tips and advice getting around the city. Smile made me breakfast himself before the kitchen was even open because we had to check out super early for a tour. Everyone went out of their way to be so helpful. I’m so happy I got to experience this Riad. 10/10!!!!!

If I could give more then a 10 I would. The staff goes over and above to make the stay pleasant and memorable. The accommodations could not be more comfortable with the best beds, linens, and comforts. The common spaces downstairs and on the roof are unparalleled in the Madina. Breakfast was delicious and had a nice variety. I would stay again and will highly recommend to everyone going for a visit to Marrakesh.

The riad is beautiful — a peaceful haven tucked away from the bustle of the city, yet close enough to explore everything easily. The rooms are lovely, spacious, and full of Moroccan charm, with every detail thought of for comfort and style. The breakfasts were a real highlight — a delicious spread of Moroccan breads, creamy yoghurt with granola, fluffy scrambled eggs, and pancakes, all served with fresh fruit and fantastic tea. It was the perfect start to the day. But what truly made our stay special was our wonderful host, Moustapha. His warmth, kindness, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. He went above and beyond to help with recommendations, transport, and anything we needed — always with a smile. If you’re looking for a place that combines authentic Moroccan hospitality, comfort, and soul, La Claire Fontaine is it. Moustapha is the heart of this beautiful riad, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

L'emplacement : proche à pied des principaux lieux touristiques tout en restant dans un quartier assez calme. Il est également facile de trouver un taxi à qq minutes du riad. Le Riad: un cocon de calme dans la médina, il est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et de raffinement. Magnifique terrasse sur le toit avec de jolis équipements (salons, transats et sanitaires) et belle vue sur les toits de la Médina et la Koutoubia. Le personnel : très attentionné et professionnel, toujours prêt à aider, répondre à toutes nos questions, plein de gentillesse et de petites attentions. La chambre (El Bacha): très spacieuse avec deux chambres, parfait avec notre ado. Literie très confortable. Salle de bain bien équipée. Extrêmement propre. Restaurant : nous sommes arrivés le soir et n'étions pas très enthousiastes de découvrir la Médina de nuit (les ruelles sont au premier abord intimidantes et les vélos et motos très nombreux), nous avions donc réservé le dîner au Riad. Très bon choix, ambiance raffinée, plats typiques délicieux. Et toujours un service très attentionné. Mais attention, il faut réserver à l'avance.

The service from Smile, Süleyman and Mustafa was exceptional- they always made sure they were respectful, polite and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed- even walking us to meet our taxis. I would recommend his hotel to anyone!

Wir waren von diesem Riad und dem Personal extrem begeistert. Es hätte nicht besser sein können. So viel Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft haben wir in einem Hotel noch nie erlebt. Die Zimmer waren sehr gepflegt und es hatte alles was es in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel braucht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und alles wurde frisch zubereitet. Die Lage war optimal. Man war rasch zu Fuss im Souk und in 100m beim Taxistand.

Cons: We booked round trip car transfers between the airport and the riad. Our incoming flight was late. When we arrived at the greeting area, we saw many drivers with greeting signs. But the La Claire Fontaine sign was missing. We looked and looked, and looked more for 12 minutes. None. We were about to take a taxi ourselves when the driver finally showed up. On departure, we booked for 5:45 am. Guess what? No car. Waited, waited and waited more. 12 minutes later, the driver showed up. Don’t know about you but this is not cool.

This is a beautiful and peaceful Riad with kind and attentive staff. The property has been renovated and decorated to a very high standard with great attention to detail. The place is spotless. The team of three gentlemen - Smail, Soulimane and Mustapha - who looked after us during our stay and run the show are a true credit. They were always attentive, kind, generous and helpful. We travelled with two young children and they were made to feel truly at home, so much so that they would ask to stay in the Riad rather than explore the town! The location is very good if you want to stay in the Medina (old city). The roads to catch taxis are only a few minutes walk away. The souks and museums are also easily accessible by walk. Breakfast is made to order and was excellent. Dinner needs to be pre-ordered and is freshly made. We had dinner on the rooftop one evening and the orange tagine (a house speciality) was excellent. We found the food at the Riad to be better than in some of the highly rated restaurants nearby.
Cons: The Riad itself cannot be faulted. The facilities and staff are excellent. Be aware that the Riad is situated in the medina and therefore allows easy access to the areas of interest in the old city. This does mean that the nearby streets are very narrow, congested and can initially be intimidating, especially for young children.

Die Unsicherheit bei der Buchung ob sich der 5 Min Fußweg mit Koffern wg engen Gassen lohnt war nach 1 Min verflogen. Das Riad ist ein Traum! Wir sind beruflich weltweit in sehr gehobener Klasse unterwegs und waren uns alle einig - dies ist eins - wenn nicht das schönste Hotel, in den wir je waren. Und das zu einem echt fairen Preis. Ein schönes Riad in direkter Nähe zu den Souks. Die Lage ist ruhig und alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Alles sind sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Unsere Zimmer /Bäder waren großzügig geschnitten und es gab einige Annehmlichkeiten wie beleuchteter Kosmetikspiegel, Leselampe (!) und Pflegeprodukte. Schöne Dachterrasse und ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück.

Tout était parfait. Riad magnifique avec décoration de goût. Endroit paisible. Equipement confortable, petit déjeuner copieux et varié, personnel excellent et très disponible. Souleimane a été très professionnel. Nous avons voyagé avec un bébé d’un an et avons pu avoir un lit bébé, une chaise haute. Nous avons l’habitude de loger en Riad à Marrakech et il y a souvent des problématiques comme les odeurs ou le bruit mais ce Riad est vraiment une perle rare.

Si riesce a dormire benissimo, non si sentono rumori molesti. La colazione è incredibilmente abbondante per tutto ciò che desideri. Mustapha e smail e soulaymane sono persone fantastiche, sempre disponibili e con il sorriso. Voto 11 su 10, oltre le aspettative!! Da ritornare sicuramente!

We felt La Claire Fontaine was our home from home. All the staff were both friendly and really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was quiet (you heard the hustle and bustle of outside in the background, but you're in the middle of the Medina - it quietened down later and honestly didn't disturb our sleep at all), large and the bed itself was really comfortable. Lovely walk in shower too. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. Location was fine, taxi dropped us close by and walked us to the front door. We weren't far from quite a few of the attractions within the walled city and could easily walk to them. Even those further afield were only about 30/40 minute walk away. The riad itself was an oasis. The terrace on the roof was beautiful... a lovely place to relax and read. We would stay again if coming back to Marrakech and would definitely recommend.

Abbiamo soggiornato per cinque giorni in questa meravigliosa struttura e ci siamo trovati benissimo, davvero siamo rimasti entusiasti 👍🏼 I ragazzi che gestiscono la struttura sono eccezionali, sempre disponibili per qualsiasi richiesta e di una gentilezza rara! La posizione comodissima per muoversi a piedi e giungere a punti di ritrovo per fare le escursioni organizzate. La camera è spaziosa, il letto extra large che consiglio a chi ha partner di due metri di altezza 👍🏼😅 difatti la struttura si differenzia dalla maggior parte dei Riad, perché appunto offre delle dimensioni di comfort che non si trovano altrove! In ultimo, la pulizia impeccabile sia di stanza che spazi in comune. In questi giorni di giri e tour organizzati, non vedevamo l’ora di far rientro in Riad per quanto fosse piacevole soggiornarci 🥹 Grazie di cuore La Claire Fontaine, è stata una bellissima esperienza soggiornare da voi! Extremely helpful staff who made us feel most welcome. The Breakfast was outstanding, very fresh local produce served with a smile. The rooms were comfortable with coffee machine and fresh water daily, Bathroom was well stocked with good quality soaps, shampoos and many more items. There was a sun terrace with plenty of loungers, chairs towels and sun hats. A big thank you to Malik, Ismael and Suleiman for making our stay extra special. We will definitely visit this unique property again and recommend it to others, which we have already done so. We were also told to treat the property like our home and that was how it felt for our duration of five days. Also a thank you for the help you gave us on arranging our taxi to the airport

My stay at La Claire Fontaine Riad was nothing short of magical. What began as a 3 night booking with two friends quickly turned into an 7 night retreat, we simply couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt like stepping into a serene oasis tucked away from the bustle of the medina. The staff were exceptional, warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The rooms were absolutely stunning !!! I truly felt like I was living in my own private Moroccan mansion. The location was great a short walk to the markets, yet peaceful enough to unwind in complete tranquility. The breakfast and dinner served on-site were divine easily among the best meals we had in Marrakech. One of the highlights was meeting the owners who were absolutely lovely. Having traveled extensively around the world, I can honestly say that La Claire Fontaine is an absolute gem and one of my fav stays.

The interiors and architecture are truly impressive, creating a unique atmosphere – a perfect oasis of calm in the heart of Marrakech. The hotel is beautifully and lovingly decorated, and every detail shows great care. The food was simply outstanding: the breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the dinner on the beautiful rooftop terrace was an unforgettable highlight – both for the excellent cuisine and the wonderful ambiance. A very special thanks goes to Malik, Ismael, and Soulaimane, who not only shared with us their knowledge about the Moroccan culture, but also helped us with every question and wish we had. The place is a hidden gem ! Off an ordinary street the door opens to a beautiful jewel of a riad- light , spacious and superbly decorated. Our room was a delight with wonderfully effective and quiet air conditioning that provided a welcome sanctuary from the Marrakesh heat. Breakfasts were a feast with a range of choice. But by far the best thing about La Claire Fontaine are the staff. Communication before and during the stay was superb. Three young gentleman ( Malik, Suleiman and Ishmael) provided an exceptional level of service. They were so polite and unbelievably willing to help with anything. They were absolutely outstanding. When we asked to use the facilities many hours beyond checkout waiting for our flight we were told " but of course ... this is your home! " And that's how we were treated. I recommend this riad without exception.
Cons: Nothing. Be aware the taxi drops off a short 3 min walk away through narrow streets but the staff will happily meet you.

Beautiful place to stay. Just 7 rooms on two floors so you feel very much like you are in someone's home. Great rooftop terrace floor to enjoy evenings if you are staying in the Riad. Wonderful staff and owner who were all extremely helpful with suggestions on places to see, using local taxis, etc. Each and every person we met there were extremely happy and friendly. Nice room with lots of wardrobe space. Location slightly to one side of the old city which meant we had a 10-15 minute walk to the main square, but once we got our bearings, it was absolutely no issue. 5 minutes to places like Secret Garden. Breakfast was nice, though same options each morning.
Cons: Perhaps could have had a little brighter lighting especially at night in you are working. You have to use stairs if room on first floor.

The facilities were spotless, the breakfast options are limited but so fresh and yummy. The staff are so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect as well. Taxi stand is 2 mins away and you can walk to jama el fana is 15-20 mins walk and the route goes through the old market. Definitely recommend this place

The rooms were impeccably clean – honestly, some of the cleanest we've ever seen, anywhere. Every detail was taken care of, and it was clear that the staff takes immense pride in maintaining the space to the highest standards. The restaurant on-site deserves just as much praise. The three course meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented (chicken tagine was the BEST!). Without a doubt, some of the best food we've had in Morocco – and that’s saying something! But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality. The staff at La Claire Fontaine are in a league of their own. Smail, Malik, Soulaimane, Yousuf, as well as the incredible cleaning and kitchen staff, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. Our group stayed at this Riad for a few days during the beginning and ending portion of our trip to Morocco. I can say that I am extremely happy with the decision to stay here. The entire experience was exceptional. The rooms scream luxury and the staff went above and beyond in every area! I can't even begin to explain all the things they went out of their way to do for us -- shopping in the souks on our behalf to ensure we get the best prices, helping us locate a purse that was lost on the outside, I could go on an on....but the staff was great. Every one of them! I've stayed at other Riads and can say that this one is the best and most unique in Marrakech.

This Riad is gorgeous. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. But the staff is the best part, outstanding! Very helpful and hospitable. Breakfast is not a buffet but it's excellent and plentiful. We were lucky to dine at the Riad one night. You have to order your dinner in the morning, as they serve dinner only upon request. The food is amazing. Do yourself a favor and dine at La Claire Fontaine. You will dine like royalty. Very highly recommended

What truly sets this riad apart is the exceptional personal service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for, offering helpful tips, arranging transport, they even called a restaurant we wanted to go to and had one of their staff walk us to the restaurant and then back to our Riad. The staff always greeting us with genuine warmth. The attention to detail was remarkable—from the delicious mint tea on arrival to the beautifully presented breakfasts each morning to tea on the rooftop every evening. We can’t recommend La Claire Fontaine highly enough. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s an experience in itself. Five stars without hesitation—we’re already dreaming of our return!

Wonderful accommodation with a very spacious room, comfortable bed/pillows/linens, great bathroom/shower and quietness of the room on the main floor. Staff (Malik, Soulymane, Youssef and Ismael) were superb and very attentive. They made my wife and I feel like part of their family. We stayed for 18 days and did not want to leave. The breakfasts were delicious serving a variety of Moroccan and Western food, dinners (we had three) were also delicious-we chose Moroccan dishes. Kudos to the chef whom we had the pleasure to meet. The housekeeping crew were terrific with their daily cleaning-they were very thorough. The upstairs rooftop area was wonderful with lounge chairs and tables where we enjoyed a few drinks. Loved our daily Moroccan mint tea. The Riad is located in a very good section of the Medina close to everything yet very quiet. We will definitely stay there again.

At first it seemed a little odd, but he probably said this more than 50 times. During check out he asked, and then pressed if anything could have been better and I made a small suggestion regarding the in room coffee. He got mad and said I should have complained. AS AN UPDATE SINCE POSTING THIS REVIEW I HAVE HAD 5 PHONES CALL FROM THEM. EXPECT TO BE HARRASSED IF THEY DON'T LIKE YOUR OPINION.

This was probably the best hotel experience I've had. The riad is very clean and located on a rather quieter street in the Medina. The staff was exceptional, they know how to make you feel welcomed and to cater to your needs. Many thanks to Malek, Ismail, and Suleiman. What was an extremely pleasant surprise was the food. Amazing delicious and diversified breakfast. We also opted for dinner after a tiring day, and the new chef did a brilliant job. We had 3 lovely courses with memorable tagines. We left Marrakesh, but we are already missing this gem. When we are back in Marrakesh, we will choose the same riad for sure.

The staff tries to make the stay really pleasant for you. The rooms and the common areas are beautiful. The breakfast is delicious. The location is very central, as soon as you step out of the door, you find yourself in the middle of the medina. The airport shuttle was very easy and convenient.
Cons: They have a huge problem with the neighbours and a rooster. The rooster starts shouting at 3am and shouts about every 10 seconds until morning. It is really right next to the window of the room we stayed so it feels like it is screaming right in your ear. Our sleep was terrible during our stay. I am sure this is not as bad for the other rooms. I think they shouldn't have this room available for booking unless they solve the issue with the rooster. It is a pity as the hotel really is beautiful and people working there are doing their best. However, without the sleep quality, it is difficult to rate the stay pleasant.

Cons: For ventilation purposes was needed to open the windows, one is exactly next to the wc, the other was in the room but allowed insects to come inside from the street. Lastly if you would like to sleep after 7am is going to be challenging as you will hear all the noises from the inside of the Riad. There is not enough light in the room all is like penumbra lights.

They offered me tea, water and pastries everyday also, made sure I was really feeling comfortable. I also loved the hotel tour at the beginning, getting explained about the meanings of different things in the hotel and about the Maroccan culture. I felt save as woman solo traveler walking around Marrakesh knowing I can trust the people in the hotel and they are here for me. They recommended a restaurant close by for my first evening, where I was walked home by one of the kind staff members. And I had a massage in my room which was exceptionally great as well. I will definitely come back here and can only highly recommend staying here.

We received some Moroccan biscuits and tea when we arrived, which was very nice. The room was absolutely amazing: beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was great with plenty of options and great (freshly made) scrambled eggs. The location was also really good and very easy to find compared to some other riads/hotels inside the medina. The hotel staff also went above and beyond to help us with everything and were absolutely amazing. Due to circumstances, we stayed at two other hotels (riads) in Marrakech as well, but this one was by far the best in terms of price/quality and absolutely worth it. If I ever come back to Marrakech, I would definitely book here again.

Everything! My friend and I enjoyed two absolutely wonderful days in this beautiful riad. The staff was exceptional—special thanks to Malek, Yusef, Smail, and Soulaimane. Thanks to them, we were able to celebrate my friend’s birthday at midnight on the riad’s terrace, under the starry sky. The food was plentiful and incredibly delicious. The riad is perfectly located in the heart of the medina. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need. I want 100% recommand this place and we'll definitely come back! This riad is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful, huge rooms, with all the amenities--wifi, nespresso, water, lovely shampoo and soap, extra pillows, etc. It all felt very clean and fresh as well. The staff were particularly wonderful and the breakfasts were superb--yogurt, eggs, all kinds of breads, hummus, etc. etc., as well as an unlimited supply of cappucino! The location was also great, quiet but right next to everything including Ben Youssef madrasa which is the most beautiful place to visit in Marrakech. Also several good restaurants (including italian--Limoni--and vegetarian--Broc a la Kasbah--within a minute walk. And shops are just around the corner.

One of the easiest "10s" I've ever given! LOCATION The location is simply perfect. While it may initially seem that the riad is situated far from the main attractions within the Medina, that's not the case at all. It’s in a peaceful area, just steps away from the Bab Tazghout taxi station (making transportation effortless) and only a 10-minute walk in a straight line to all important souks. It offers a peaceful retreat after the lively chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa. After seeing the awkward entrances of riads closer to the square, I knew I made the right choice staying here. RIAD The riad’s charm lies in its thoughtful design, with everything connected to the number 7. The central courtyard features a beautiful water fountain, providing a serene spot to enjoy evenings with authentic Moroccan tea. Each of the 7 themed rooms reflects one of Marrakech's main attractions. Ours, the "Bahia Suite" (inspired by Bahia Palace), was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and equipped with a large bathroom. But it’s the small, thoughtful touches that set this riad apart from the others. The rooftop terrace is another highlight—a wonderful space to soak in the midday sun. Even in January, it felt almost too warm, so I imagine it’s even more delightful during the summer months. STAFF The staff is incredible. The housekeeping team keeps everything spotless, while Souleyman, Malik, Youssef, and Ismael truly make it feel like they say, a second home. Available 24/7, they’re always ready to assist with anything, whether it's letting you in the riad, having a chat, or fulfilling requests—with a sincere, non-transactional approach. They even take the time to learn each guest’s name, greeting you personally every time. FOOD We only had the included breakfast, which was fantastic—freshly prepared omelets or eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and a wide selection of items on the self-service table. A delicious varied breakfast every morning. We also received a map on the first day so that we wouldn't get lost. We used this every day. We had reserved a taxi from the airport and to the airport. And received tea with sweets upon arrival 🫖 During our stay we also took advantage of the private excursions. This went very well with guide Ennes. Beautiful surroundings and there is no rush. We have eaten at the Riad several times. This was really delicious. It is important that you indicate this well in advance. We had a wonderful time in Marroko, partly thanks to the people of this riad🇲🇦😁.

We stayed at El Bacha suite which was even better than the pictures and excellent for a family of four. This is a calm oasis to retreat to after a day in the hustle and bustle in Marrakesh, and you’re made to feel like home. We also recommend the in room massage.

We thought the staff at La Claire Fontaine were outstanding, they couldn't do enough for us without being overwhelming. We ate supper one night and the chicken and orange tagine was one of the best we have ever tasted, and the price reasonable. Our room, the Jardin Secret, was delightful, spacious well heated and with a super bathroom. Breakfasts were splendid with fruit, breads, cheese, and eggs cooked to choice if required. We walked almost everywhere and the riad is very well situated but tranquil, a real oasis. We would absolutely return if we come back to Marrakesh. We arranged a guide for one day, Hassan and he showed us places we might not otherwise have found away from the main tourist sites. We also booked a one day High Atlas visit and walk. This was outstanding, particularly because our guide, Mohamed Laaouini, was a very special person with a great rapport with the Berbers. All in all a brilliant experience.

Friendly staff that go the extra mile (literally - as they help you with your luggage, walking you a few meters to the taxi which cannot enter the road where the hotel is located). There is a breakfast buffet. Don't expect big chain buffet. This is a boutique hotel buffet and the quality is really good. The roof terrace is pretty spectacular too.
Cons: Not much not to like. Getting to grips with where the hotel is located in Marrakech is not the simplest but I expect this applies to much of Marrakech.

We loved this beautiful, extremely clean Riad. Our room was lovely and looked just like in the pictures. We stayed in the Deluxe Double room (yellow). There was plenty of hot water and we welcomed the air conditioning as it was extremely hot outside. The location was perfect. Away from the very crowded souks but close enough for a 78 and 80 year old to walk to. The area is well lit at night and we felt perfectly safe going out. The breakfast was amazing. Quite a variety of items (both Moroccan and Western) and all of them well presented and tasty. It was nice to be able to try the authentic plates. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a real treat. We ate dinner on the rooftop of the Riad quite often since the food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect. Smeil and Yuseph were friendly, helpful, warm and helped make this stay special. We have recommended this Riad to several of our friends and recommend it to anyone desiring to have as wonderful experience as we did.

All the folks at the front desk did everything with a smile and the answer was always “yes of course”. They were very nice and made the experience that much better. The breakfast spread was great as well, very nice spread. Made sure spend enough time for breakfast every morning. Lastly, the room was fantastic too! All the rooms themes are based on a tourist attraction in Marrakech. My Majorlle room was spacious, clean and comfortable for a single person stay. I had no complaints, room certainly exceeded my expectations. The bathroom is huge, almost as big as the room itself!! Need to comment about the rooftop as well. Easily the most peaceful spot I’ve been at recently. Loved sitting here, especially at night. Wish I could bring that back home with me. Loved the riad! Would not stay anywhere else if I get to visit Marrakech again.

The service here is impeccable. Everything is done with a smile and polite conversation - the staff are eager to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The Riad itself is beautifully, tastefully and comfortably decorated. It is kept spotless. Moroccan tea and treats on arrival. Tea, water and tangerines available throughout your stay in the indoor courtyard area at all times. Breakfast options are diverse and tasty. We also had the surprise menu one evening after an Atlas mountain trip and it exceeded expectations - it was so fresh and delicious! We travelled with our 1 year old baby who all the staff interacted wonderfully with and weren't made to feel awkward at all if he cried or fussed. All in all our stay was 10/10 - such good value! We would happily recommend this Riad to friends and families looking to come to Marrakesh on holiday.

We enjoyed staying in this small but beautifully decorated riad. It is very central and from it we walked to many of the places to see. It is very quiet , it has many corners where you can relax while drinking a tea, including a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the sun. The room we stayed in is spacious , with a large bathroom and very comfortable bed. The breakfast has enough choices for all palates and the coffee is delicious. This place is great but the experience was even better thanks to the kindness and hospitality of the people working there, especially with Junis and Smail (hope I spelled their names correctly) who have taken care of us so well!

It is visually stunning and immaculately clean . The food was superb with high-quality produce and plenty of options to suit all tastes . The room itself was beautifully decorated and spacious . But the real jewel in the crown and the number one reason for staying in the La Claire Fontaine is the staff . We were blown away by how well we were looked after . The staff at La Claire Fontaine Riad were outstanding, especially Ismael, Yoonis, and Suleiman, who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Ismael and Suleiman met our driver outside the medina to pick up and drop off our luggage, ensuring a smooth transition to the riad. Yoonis took the time to accompany my daughter and me outside the medina, helping us hail and negotiate the price of a taxi ride. The hardworking cleaning staff were also remarkable, going beyond standard service by tidying, hanging, and putting away personal items at the end of each day. Lastly, the owner, Renni (apologies if the name is incorrect), was incredibly kind. After we had checked out, I realized at the airport that I had lost my passport. Renni kindly hosted us back at the riad, researching online and making calls to help me find it. Fortunately, I discovered it at the last restaurant we had dined at. I can only say wonderful things about this riad. I highly recommend it and give it 5 stars.

This Riad was so comfortable and inviting. The best part was probably the welcoming staff, Ismael, Suleman and Yunous, who all went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, much better than a traditional American continental breakfast, and we enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop and in the common spaces when we needed a break from walking around the souks.

Staying at La Claire Fontaine during Eid al-Adha was a fantastic experience, especially with most places closed. The Riad's design is a perfect blend of modern comfort and exotic Moroccan charm, noticeable in every corner, piece of furniture, and the overall ambiance. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, and the furniture and decorations were truly exquisite. The toiletries provided were also of very good quality. The WiFi quality was good through out the Riad. The patio was refreshing and charming, providing a lovely spot to enjoy a drink or the delicious breakfast served each morning. As an espresso fan, I was delighted with the in-room espresso maker and the quality of espresso prepared for us during breakfast. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, offering a relaxing space between walks and a delightful dinner prepared especially for us by the Riad team (special gratitude to Younes' mum). Our stay at La Claire Fontaine was memorable not just for the comfort and atmosphere, but because we felt genuinely at home. Special thanks to Smail, Soulaimane, and Younes for their exceptional care and hospitality. You made our stay unforgettable!
Cons: I loved everything about the Riad! Just two important tips: - Ignore people on the streets who claim your Google Maps is wrong, or the street is closed, and offer to guide you another way or show you an exhibition. These individuals will ask for money, and the streets are not actually closed, nor are there exhibitions—just shops. Engaging with them will waste your time and cause frustration. - When you go back to the airport, plan for three hours, especially if you fly ryan. They stamp boarding passes at the check-in desks, even if you only have carry-on luggage. There are huge queues at the check-in desks (Ryanair staff can be quite rude and slow, and regardless of your luggage size, they might force you to pay an extra fee; we witnessed many disputes and scandals during our 1.5-hour wait in this queue) and at passport control you need about an hour.

La Claire Fontaine will remain in my memory as the best place we have stayed, the hospitality of Sulamen and Smail and the team at LCF went above and beyond for us to ensure we were at home. The rooms are luxurious and beautifully fit out. I wish we could stay longer and would come back at any opportunity. We loved all of the personal touches they made for us. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had away from home, the food was beautifully home cooked and so fresh. The beds and bedding are gorgeous and luxurious quality. The shower wonderful. We couldn't have been more comfortable.

Cons: I’m always reluctant to leave a negative review as I appreciate that it can have a considerable impact upon a small business, however in this case, I really think that potential guests should be aware of the pitfalls, should they book this property. The riad is located in the worst part of the medina, it’s some distance from the main square and the area is very intimidating when walking to and from the property at night. If you want to sleep during your stay, this is not the place first you. The street noise is impossible to block out/ignore, and you can hear every car and passer-by.. In addition, Marrakesh has many stray cats, there is one that spends all of its time in a potted tree outside the hotel. It wails and screams all night. Despite complaints from ourselves and other guests, the hotel did nothing. They promised to move the cat/ the potted tree- it never happened. We did not sleep during our 5 night stay. When checking out, the owner of the hotel was there. She basically told us that it was just one of those things! We challenged her and reluctantly she agreed to reimburse us for two nights of our stay, she avoided doing this on the spot, coming up with a wealth of excuses, but she promised to do so, in the next few days..We had to rush off as our taxi was waiting, we hoped that she would be true to her word, but we were of course doubtful. We contacted the property upon our return to the Uk, most of our messages were ignored, however, on one occasion the hotel replied saying that they were in contact with booking. Com to arrange the refund etc. I was sceptical and so I called booking. Com; sure enough, the hotel had never been in touch with them. An advisor from booking.com spoke to the hotel and the hotel asked for proof of the conversation (as though I was lying)! I provided this, the hotel stated that they would be in touch with booking. Com by the end of the day to resolve this issue. As anticipated, there was no contact from them.

From the moment we entered we felt like VIP guests! The staff are extremely accommodating, warm, friendly and attentive. The breakfast provided was exceptional and contained a large variety of options, many traditional Moroccan dishes. We also ate a wonderful lunch on the day of our arrival. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We felt more like we were staying with family than at a hotel. We will definitely stay here again!!! The Riad is lovely, not too far from the taxi drop off point (less than a 3 minute walk), well appointed and the rooms are spacious, pretty and extremely well equipped. The roof terrace is also very spacious with plenty of seating and lounging space. However what makes this Riad stand out as exceptional is their staff - Suleiman and Smile (plus another gentleman whose name I didn’t get) were totally charming, courteous, helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. An added bonus was the amazing, copious and delicious breakfast. This is really an excellent riad which I would strongly recommend.
Cons: Only my personal observation and not to be taken as a criticism at all - the decor, whilst very nice and tasteful, is perhaps not as ‘authentically’ Moroccan as other riads in which I have stayed. I think most of the suites have an outside window (onto the street) which is great but does mean it can get a bit noisy in the evening although it quietened down during the night. The bed was soft and bouncy - an observation only for those who prefer a harder bed.

We stayed in here in March 2024! Three friends, we had 2 rooms. I couldn’t recommend our stay at La Claire Fontaine enough! The location was fantastic, the Riad was simply stunning. Great comfort and the breakfast each morning was gorgeous! Soulaimane, Smail and Younes made our stay even better!! They kept breakfast longer some mornings for our arrival and after an early morning tour, gave us recommendations, organised walking tours, Hammam, reservations and transfers for us! They even walked us to restaurants to ensure we were safe and wouldn’t get lost!! Thank you for an incredible stay! La Claire Fontaine really felt like our home during our stay!

The staff - Suleman, Smiel, Yunas - were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and had what we needed during our stay. We literally miss them. They made us feel like family. They were especially sweet with my 8 year old daughter, and treated her like royalty! When we left they said "you now have friends in Morocco and our doors are always open to you" and that is truly how we feel! The riad is beautiful and impeccably clean. It's an oasis of calm. I've seen some reviews talk about the location- that it's far from "the action." It is on the other end of the Medina from some of the bigger tourist attractions, but still very walkable (20 min walk?) and I appreciated being a bit further away from the main square. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. And peaceful! We truly loved our stay.
Cons: The only challenge for us was that cabs didn't know how to get us as close as possible to la Claire Fontaine within the medina. This was especially problematic with our private transfer from Casablanca. The driver dropped us off closer to the main attractions, maybe 30 mins away from the riad (unbeknownst to us). The staff were fantastic here - nothing was too much trouble! The building is really beautiful and we were able to enjoy the rooftop patio while we were there thanks to the heaters. And did I mention the staff?!

Everything was amazing! The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, a short walk to all major sites in Marrakech. The breakfast was lovely each morning. The Riad is very beautiful inside and in the rooms. The rooftop is a nice place to relax and you have views of surrounding mountains.
Cons: The Riad is located slightly away from the closest road. When you first arrive by taxi you will be dropped off and need walk the remaining few minutes yourself. Make sure to have Google maps or else call the hotel and they will have a staff member meet you. Once you are settled in it is easy to navigate but you may be unsure of directions when you first arrive and may go down a wrong alley.

They would help us with getting a parking place close to the hotel, arranging a lift to the airport, giving us loads of tips etc. The room was large and comfortable. Cons: We payed for three nigths and left for good after two. Why this? - The hotelroom has only a tiny little window to the central reception/waiting area. Therefore, there is either no daylight or no privacy, if you want to get some air. - The hotel is not accessable by car. This info was not provided. Obviously stranded in our car we were guided to the hotel by a group of young men. At the hotel the guides turned rude and claimed for money. Assisted by the hotel manager we had to pay 200 Dirhams (about 20€) to calm the situation. When I wanted to transfer the car to a private parking lot in the presence of the hotel manager, one of the young men requested more money now for short term parking. Unfortunately, the manager at my side was not able to manage the situation mutually.

I loved the layout of the building, the terrace was fantastic, our room, bathroom and seating area just perfect. The staff at this Raid are wonderful; very friendly, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. We were welcomed with mint tea and sweets before being shown to our room. The room was ready even though we had arrived early. The room was spotless as was the rest of the riad. We were in the blue room - it was very quiet even though it was above the main entrance door and overlooked the narrow street below. The bathroom was large and the shower was powerful and beautifully hot. The breakfast had a good spread of both local foods (hummus, soft cheeses, flatbreads, homemade cakes, fresh fruit) and European foods (croissants, pastries, hard cheese, salami, yogurt) and there was the option to have freshly cooked eggs too plus juice, coffee (incl decaf) and teas. We particularly liked the rooftop seating area which was very comfortable and gave a great roofscape view to watch the sun set. The location within the Medina is great for easy walking to the souks, the main square and to the many museums including the Jardin Majorelle. There are also a number of nice restaurants nearby including a great little vegetarian restaurant with a rooftop terrace.
Cons: For us the bed was a little hard but that is down to personal taste.

This was the most amazing stay and if I could, I would give a 20* rating! The location right in the Medina is perfect in that everything is in walking distance, so there is no need for a car; the rooms each have their own décor theme going on and are furnished with a lot of love and attention to detail - the bathrooms make you feel as if you are in a spa! - the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of local delicacies, yet special requests were never a problem. The rooftop terrace is like an oasis if you want to relax from the Medina's hustle and bustle. And the staff as well as the owners were a dream and made me feel part of the family. Very caring, always helpful, always taking some time out for a little chat, which I absolutely loved. Pre-arrival communication was also excellent. I have nothing but praise for La Claire Fontaine and would stay there again on my next trip to Marrakech.

The riad was exquisite, an absolute one of a kind, the location was perfect for walking to the souks and the staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. They recommended tour guides, booked us excursions, walked us anywhere we were unsure of getting to, arranged transfers, played with the kids, recommended lovely restaurants to eat at that we would have never found, the list goes on and on... I cannot rate the staff or the riad highly enough.

The riad was beautiful, especially the rooftop. The staff could not have been better. They were so kind, warm, welcoming, and gracious. We really got the feeling that they were happy to have us there and happy to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The dinner we had upon arrival was delicious and so was breakfast every morning, particularly the cheese omelette I had with msemmen every day. I liked the location of the riad because it was just a short walk to the most northern part of the souks and to Bacha Coffee. It was a bit of a walk to the Jemaa al-Fna (about 20 minutes) but this was a winding path through the souks that we really enjoyed walking every day. By the end of our stay, we had gotten to know so many of the shopkeepers en route to the square. It was wonderful.
Cons: The only thing that we struggled with, and the only reason I couldn't give this riad a perfect score, was the noise. We were on the ground floor in the Badi Suite facing the street. It was so noisy late into the night and even with earplugs/noise cancelling ear buds, my partner couldn't sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning. I had to sleep with ear buds and a white noise app on my phone. By the end of our eight-night stay we were quite tired!

It was hard at first to find our way around but this is a common thing when staying in the Medina! The breakfast was wonderful but the evening meal even better and highly recommended. All the staff were welcoming, incredibly attentive and also helpful. It made the stay so much easier as we had not visited the city before. They really could not do enough to help us. The Riad was a tranquil and relaxing place to stay after busy days of walking and was perfect in every way. The roof terrace space was lovely too. We would highly recommend booking the hotel's own taxi service as this was very easy and our driver was excellent through the very busy streets!

From booking to leaving this Riad was a joy. The staff were amazing at ALL times. Dealing with pre-queries, questions about the earthquake, helping with contacting some of our viator bookings, booking transport, coping with our upper terrance family get togethers and generally letting us think we were talking to long held acquaintances. The Riad itself is a small (seven bedrooms I think) but very well modernised. The internal courtyard area is lovely and bright with comfortable seating. There is also a large lounge type room which is used for breakfast. The roof terrace has a covered area which is necessary for sunny days - good views. The rooms are all different and very quiet. All the necessary facilities are provided plus many additions to make your stay comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had both overhead and hand heads and was walk in. The rooms are cleaned excellently each day. Breakfast is very fresh and varied with many local specialities - the staff are excellent at providing drink and egg choices if you ask. We had one evening meal which was of three extensive courses all superbly cooked. The Main had five types of tagine/ The Riad is on the edge of the Medina and we found it easy to walk to the centre in 15 minutes or so. I would highly recommend this Riad for a peaceful stay in Marrakech.

I cannot begin to say how fantastic this place is! Soulaimane, Younes and Smail were so attentive, warm, caring and kind and supported by a wonderful team that made the entire experience very special. As for the actual accommodation – as we arrived a day earlier than originally planned I had the experience of 2 suites – a single bedroom (Bahia) before moving into the (only) two bedroom suite (El Bacha). Both were incredibly luxurious and after a big day of sight-seeing it was great to collapse into such a comfortable bed! Additionally, the included breakfasts were extremely good and at your request they can also provide a delicious 3 course traditional Moroccan dinner, which I can highly recommend (although unfortunately rain on that day meant that we couldn't make use of the rooftop to dine) Thank you very much and hopefully my travels will take me back there soon!

First and foremost the service at La Claire was outstanding, we can not recommend any improvements. Whilst being nestled in the medina the tranquility within the Riad is a real bonus. The quality of the breakfast and dinner we took far exceeded expectations.
Cons: The only recommendation I can make, and this isn't a criticism is whether you can provide more flexibility around booking for the dinner. Booking for dinner is required in the morning of the dinner required, we arrived early evening and an option for a light dinner would have been very welcome. This is even more relevant because the dinner we did have at the Riad was a highlight of the stay. It was effectively private dining on a rooftop in the Medina.

The Riad’s interior design was out of this world, we could not believe it. Modernity and Moroccan tradition brought together with stunning colour schemes, furniture design, cushions and carpets. The homemade Moroccan biscuits and prepared dates with mint tea was an exceptional welcome. We were overwhelmed by our luck in choosing this Riad and we’re so sorry to have booked it for one night only, our last night in Marrakesh as it happens. Once you enter this Riad you are welcomed by a marvelous, wonderful staff, who speak perfect English as well as other languages. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The facility is perfectly maintained, a true oasis of peace and calm in the middle of bustling Marrakesh. Each of the bedrooms is unique, no two are alike. I recommend also having dinner at least once in this Riad; the gastronomic experience is out of this world in the upstairs terrace.

We would highly recommend this Riad, the staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived they could not do enough for us, unfortunately I was ill on our first day (we arrived the evening before) and the staff went out of their way to provide me with anything I needed, they went to the pharmacy and collected some antibiotics for me and would check on me throughout the day to see if there was anything they could do for me - unbelievable!!!! The meals were fantastic and the view from the rooftop area amazing, the bed was supper comfortable and the bathroom facilities amazing... I can not fault this accommodation but I can not praise it enough either. The location is fantastic, close to Jemaa el Fna square and all the souks (stalls) which is a must see at night (walking distance). We would recommend taking the option of transport offered by the Riad from the train or airport to avoid any unpleasant experiences with taxi drivers and locals trying to help you (keep in mind everyone expects a tip, even for directions) - if you are planning a trip to Marrakech we would highly recommend this accommodation!!!!!

Cons: The riads are mostly in the Medina which you have to be ready to navigate. The staff arranged our pick up from the train station in Marrakech and airport departure. So on arrival, the driver escorted us to the hotel. It was about a 3-5 minute walk. This is a trade off if you want to stay in a riad. For us, it was worth it.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and large. The bathroom was enormous and very exquisite. We had a beautiful and filling breakfast. I would say this was the best accommodation in Marrakech for the price, just outstanding.

When we were in the transfer to go to the the airport they called the driver telling him to check our bags saying we stole robes or towels ( dont know the word in english). We were forced to show our bag and prove that we hadnt taken anything ... at the end they didnt even apology or say anything. We felt scary and unsafe by the all situation it really seemed like a scam. the only time i felt unsafe in all our stay in Marrocos was with this ryad they put us at a very uncofortable situation and were very hostil acusing us of steelling ... after showing our bags to the driver the ryad did not apology or say anything to us...

I recently stayed in this Riad with my friend and we had the most wonderful time! The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly, the room was huge, immaculately clean and the Riad itself was beautiful. The complimentary breakfast spread was absolutely delicious and fresh, there was always a lot of variety. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of lovely touches such as robes and toiletries. Overall we would recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakech!
Cons: There was sometimes lots of outside noise but this is very common within the Medina and it was not the fault of the hotel, more of a note!

The employees at the riad were very welcoming and helpfull. The room was very clean with beautiful details. We loved to spend time on the rooftop after a long day of walking around in the busy medina. All in all a great stay at the riad, which we would definitely recommend.

Very attractive modern take on the Riad style. Pleasant courtyard where breakfast was served. Spacious room with good facilities but a litte noisy from the road which ran just outside our window (we were there in Ramadan which may not have helped). Lovely roof terrace, where drinks were served, with fabulous views of the snow covered High Atlas Mountains. We arrived quite late and booked their meal offer which was excellent and very good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful though communication between shifts was a little erractic.
Cons: We did not specifically ask for a quiet room but it might have been useful to know that ours had an external wall onto a street which was quite busy with motorbikes and pedestrians. Location a little off the beaten track which made finding it a bit tricky.

The property was quite superb. It was a perfect combination of chic and comfort in a convenient location. The facilities and the staff were excellent. The staff went the extra mile to make our stay a pleasant one and nothing was too much trouble for them in making our stay a delight. Overall, an excellent experience on our first, but certainly not our last, visit to Marrakech and La Claire Fontaine.

Cons: There wasn't much sound proofing (simply nature of building). There wasn't a TV to watch in my room but I can live with that. They didn't tell me it's much cheaper to take a taxi than arrange for an airport transfer.

Stay here! It is beautiful!! Really beautiful. I travel internationally and for work in the US and can say this has been my favorite place to stay. Wonderful location. Right outside the market/Medina. Staff and owners are helpful, kind, thoughtful.... like family. Really beautiful rooms, clean. Center glass dome allowing natural light. Incredible rooftop terrace with great views. I loved La Claire Fontaine.

This was one of my all time favourite stays - it’s even more beautiful in person, incredibly peaceful, the staff are wonderful and the location is great. We walked everywhere from the riad without needing taxis and there are some fantastic restaurants located within 10 minutes. We will definitely be returning! A big thank you to all of the staff for making our trip so special.
Cons: It wasn’t an issue but it’s good to know that tap water can’t be drunk and you will have one free bottle from the riad a day - otherwise it’s best to buy bottles from the local vendors just a 1 minute walk from the front door 😊

This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable room and bed, lovely places to relax including the wonderful rooftop area. The staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. They helped organise some greats trips for me. This was great as a solo traveller. The 5 Valleys tour is highly recommended. Outstanding experience overall. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Riad as a beautiful place to stay.

This was the best accommodation I have ever stayed at for a holiday! The riyadh was so beautiful and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were served mint tea and sweets upon arrival, and received a variety of recommendations of places to go and restaurants to eat at. The hosts helped us with taxi and experience bookings at all times. I cannot recommend this riyadh enough! A special thanks to Souleiman!

Excellent position for exploring Medina area. Beautifully presented Riad, with staff taking pride in their hospitality. We had a pre booked three course meal for our first night especially cooked fresh for us - excellent. Rooms were very spacious clean and comfortable and daily maintenance was excellent. Lovely roof terrace and tasteful lounge area. Breakfast represented local produce as well as catering for all tastes with continental flavours and eggs cooked to order.

Cons: The Riad was tricky to find - definitely book the transfer because the taxi cannot stop close by. Our ground floor room was quite noisy, especially from the constant motorbikes, cats screeching and kids playing immediately outside our window (We were unaware that there are very few bars and restaurants in the medina that serve alcohol - book a hotel outside if you enjoy wine with your dinner.)

Riad is well located in Medina close tomain attractions and walking distance from the big square. Staff was very helpful at all times: booking the airport transfers, recommending restaurants, helping with bookings,... Breakfast is really good and they also serve dinner if booked in advance which was delicious. Rooms are big, clean and confortable. Perfect place to stay in Marrakech, we will come back here.

The Claire Fontaine is a little hidden gem of oasis behind the bustling streets of Marrakesh. Such a beautiful “Boutique Hotel”. The staff are absolutely fantastic and go above and beyond to help your stay be the best it can be! if you need a guide then please please ask for Rasheed - this man is absolutely amazing and we struck lucky with him! What he doesn’t know about the City hasn’t made it to their history! We also pre arranged dinner with Suliman and it didn’t disappoint one bit! We will be back. ❤️

we loved every minute in Marrakesh and in La Claire Fontaine. it is a beautiful place we had everything what we needed and couldn’t ask for better service. Soulaimane & Amir are the nicest , most welcoming and most helpful people I have met in a long time. These guys made our stay wonderful, we were very well looked after. Housekeeping ladies done really great job keeping the place immaculate clean. Breakfast was amazing every morning.

What a great place to stay! When we arrived we were a bit sceptical as it is located in a bit of a scruffy alleyway. But don’t be alarmed, when you walk into the Riad reception you are greeted by the friendliest of staff (Amin, Naima and Suleiman were all amazing) as well as a beautiful spa-like smell hitting you. Amin was great as he gave us a complete tour of the Riad and gave us a welcome drink of traditional Moroccan mint tea which we had on the beautiful terrace under the stars. He was also very helpful with giving us restaurant recommendations and things to do. Our room was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. It was also cleaned everyday which was lovely. The Riad was located about ten minutes walk from the Souks in the heart of Medina and the Jamaa el Fna Square is about 20 mins walk away (go see this at night!). It may feel a bit sketchy and you may get lost walking back to the Riad at night, so make sure you are not alone as some locals may give you directions but may insist on you giving them money for doing this. Breakfast was also great make sure you get this if you stay here. There is a good spread of fruits, pastries, cereals etc. and you can also request eggs to be cooked for you. Make sure you try the French pancakes they were absolutely delicious I’m still dreaming about them now. On our last day they let us keep our bags safely stored whilst we went to the Souks. We came back a bit earlier than when we were going to be picked up and Suleiman allowed us to chill out, relax and get a last minute sunbathe in on the roof terrace with no worries at all. The hospitality from the staff was incredible, they are the friendliest of people and are always happy to help you. Overall, would highly recommend this Riad and I am definitely coming back here in the future.

The breakfast everyday was really good, with fresh bread, orange juice, mint tea, local cheese and hummous. The coffee was really good. The hospitality was exceptional. When we arrived, we were given refreshments, such as mint tea and local sweets, which was a lovely and welcoming touch. The team at the riad were always approachable and so helpful if we had any questions. The rooms are so peaceful, and the interior is so beautiful, with a lovely fountain at the centre. Very close to the souks. Within walkable distance to Jardin Marjorelle (about 25 mins), Medina and Jemaa el fna (about 25-30mins depending on how busy the markets are). I wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return again in the future.
Cons: Nothing to add here. The riad exceeded our expectations. A fantastic gem in Marrakech.

Beautiful riad, very clean room, good breakfast, amazing staff! Our stay was great, we were treated amazingly by the staff and we really enjoyed our room. The location is great too, 15 minute walk from Jemaa el-Fna, close to everything. I highly recommend this riad and I would stay here again.
Cons: The Medina can get quite noisy in general, you can hear people talking, scooters passing by, and every mosque blasts prayers in their.speakers at 5:00AM sharp. Bring earplugs. This is not the hotel's fault, just the way the Medina is.

We had an excellent stay at La Claire Fontaine and highly recommend it. We made use of the airport transport organized by the hotel as we were arriving past midnight. The driver dropped us of as close as possible to the hotel and called the hotel after which an employee of the hotel came to our location and guided us to the Riad. Eventhough it was already late, we were offered a welcome tea with delicious Moroccan biscuits. We then headed to our room which was very spacious and well decorated (we chose the jardin secret room). We had a long stay of 9 days and we really enjoyed the fact that the Riad is located close to the Souqs and restaurants but that it is also a place where you can relax and stay inside (the roof top terrace is a great place to relax). We visited during the World Cup and we watched several games in the beautiful and cosy lounge area. A special mention has to go out to Souleyman and Amin, who were always helpful, kind and very friendly whenever we had a question. This place really felt like a second home. We highly recommend staying here during your Marrakech visit.
Cons: There were no negatives! we had a wonderful stay. If I were to name one area of improvement, it would probably be the breakfast. Not that breakfast wasn't good, it just doesn't reach the same level of the quality of the Riad, the location and the people. We believe that scrambled eggs or omelet would be a great addition :)

Everything was wonderful! The best thing about this hotel is how helpful and kind the owners and staff are. Really they couldn't do enough to help us, with advice, booking excursions, dinner reservations, the airport transfer and Naima even woke up very early to make sure our airport transfer was ok to return home. Thank you so much to Naima, Henning and Soulaimane, all brilliant! The hotel is like a peaceful haven in a location very close to the busy Medina. The room we stayed in was so quiet, comfy and always very clean. The dinner in the hotel was fantastic, great value and delicious. The breakfast was also very good with local fruits and breads, eggs. Just lovely!
Cons: I liked everything! I wish the weather had been better the week I was here because I would have loved to sit on their roof top terrace and relax, it's a beautiful space but the weather was quite rainy that week. The roof had tables, chairs and sun loungers, would be perfect in warm weather!

The breakfast was excellent quality, to say something to improve ...for four days the buffet was good but always the same, however, one day we ordered eggs and they provided them. We appreciated the fresh fruit very much and the finest way it was served. We like the elegant atmosphere of the riad, the architecture of the place, and the spectacular cupula. The service was great from Amine and Souloimane. They attended to any and every request.
Cons: The location was not as expected, but easy to find when you understand The Medina. The terrace is fantastic but the weather was cold and we didn't have a chance to enjoy the view of the Atlas. (no one's fault!!) Our bedroom, Badi Suit, was dark with no daylight as it was on the ground floor with small windows, but it was not our first selection, it was the only one available.

The hospitality by Naima and Henning was exceptional. This was our first trip to Marrakech and we absolutely loved it. We travelled to celebrate our son's 1st B'day and it went really well. Both Naima and Henning went out of their way to help us with check-in, local sightseeing recommendations, providing a walking tour guide and many more. Our son was not well when we arrived. Naima prepared a warm soup for our son even though she didn't have to. This just shows how compassionate Naima and Henning are towards their guests. The location was perfect. It had an ATM 5 mins away by walk. There were shops around to buy bottled water and there were sightseeing operators nearby. The Riad also had nice restaurants nearby which were helpful. There was a big taxi stand which was very convenient as we didn't have to walk very far. Also, it was just the right distance away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a relaxed evening. The Riad has been recently refurbished and the amenities are excellent. The housekeeping was on point every day making sure everything is cleared. The Riad served delicious breakfast every day which was just what you needed before the start of your day. The bread and olives are something Marrakech is famous for and we tasted some really good bread at the Riad. The staff was also very warm and helped us with warm water for our son's milk every night. It's these small details that made our stay extremely comfortable and without any hiccups.
Cons: I think the only thing missing for us was a small swimming pool. But that is not a negative. It's how they have designed the Riad which is very pretty indeed.

Second room: rooster waking us up at 3:00 am and singing every 45 minutes People smoking smelly cigars at breakfast (basic breakfast by the way) Limited local knowledge (thought there was a train between Marrakech and Essaouira) No good tips or advices Wanted to book transportation for us at prohibitive price (50% higher than others) Hard to find location and neighborhood can be a bit scary at night (on our last night, we were followed and harassed)

Cons: It can be noisy because of the noise from the street although inside the hotel was very quiet. And prayers being transmitted via a loudspeaker in the mosque nearby certainly wakes you up. But it is inside the Medina ( the walled city).
