Staff were kind, rooms were clean, very helpful staff and I could leave my bag there when I went on a excursions.

Cons: Shower had no pressure, everything felt old and many fittings broken, the hairdryer was daw away from a mirror, no restaurant for lunch or dinner even though they said there is, room was tiny with no space to open my case except right in from in the bedroom door, no black out curtains so the light from the hallway shined all night in to the room. It just felt tired and in need of a renovation

Amazing two-night stay at the Riad Africa. We booked a twin room for me and a friend while passing through Marrakesh. Easy to find, with a Kech cab taxi booked at airport. It is close to a busy upmarket area of the medina, the rooms were clean, well equipped with everything you could need, including glasses and a fridge. The pool in the central courtyard was ideal for a dip in the heat of the afternoon, with gorgeous towelling robes to relax in. Staff here were endlessly friendly and helpful, with a special mention for Nordine. He was knowledgeable and charming. In all, I would wholeheartedly recommend as a great choice of amazing value for a comfortable stay in a well-located spot.

Cons: We had an evening meal, which was authentic and tasty, if a little over-priced for what you would get in restaurants nearby. Convenience, I guess. Breakfasts were a little limited when we were there with a buffet, but then everyone tended to breakfast at the same time.

This is a nice Riad tucked away down z side street. It was very peaceful and comfortable inside and the staff were very helpful.

The staff were outstanding — especially Hassan, who helped us with a lost phone, laundry, and local recommendations. Comfortable beds, working AC, and a large TV. Clean pool and beautiful rooftop terrace with lots of space to relax. Good location and overall charming atmosphere.

Cons: Our room was in the secondary building, which felt slightly neglected compared to the main riad. Small hole in the bathroom window facing the stairwell — a privacy concern. Wobbly bathroom tap that could use fixing. Not the best value for money compared to other riads we stayed at.

Arrived to be told that the room I had booked was not available, and we were being put in there sister riad. At 1st I was not impressed . Once taken to the other riad I changed my mind. It was amazing, the room had everything that you wanted. Kettle, fridge, tea and coffee, smart tv and air-conditioning. Room was very clean. Only downside I can say is the shower was always cold. Breakfast was amazing and and the hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble. They even gave my wife and I a amazing evening dinner for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I had a good stay at this property. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was pretty small and didn’t drain very well. There was some construction noise early in the morning, probably work going on in one of the adjacent rooms. Not sure if the hype of this place lived up to expectations upon reading reviews. The host is lovely and more than welcoming however everything runs on “African time” so don’t expect to do anything on time. Its sometimes a nice change from the chaos outside the riad in Marrakech streets, but difficult with a hungry toddler. The property is well maintained, but down a quiet dirty street. The service was slow and they were unable to keep up with breakfast demand. The roof terrace was nice but worn and most of the shades broken.

- Great location not far from the main square. - Spacious and quiet terrace to relax. - Good and tasty breakfast. The staff also kindly prepared us a takeaway breakfast when we had an early start one morning. - Traditional architecture albeit in need of a bit of a refresh.

Cons: - Parts of the riad were in need of modernising/refreshing, for example the terrace furniture was showing signs of age and other parts were a bit tired. - Room didn't feel the cleanest we'd ever stayed in but did the job for the 2 nights we were there. - As other reviews have mentioned, this size of room (safari twin) is small - with narrower than usual single beds - but was fine for a short stay. [NB you likely wouldn't want to swim in the pool, it is more of a decorative feature].

I stayed at Riad Africa for 7 nights. The staff at the Riad are well trained, helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to ensure that my stay was great. Staff were always willing to explain things to me and answer any questions either about the Riad or about activities and places I wanted to go. The staff were not just there to run the Riad, but were concerned that their guests have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The chef is excellent, he produced delicious food every single night.

Cons: I would have liked my coffee glasses to be changed for clean ones daily, rather than rinsed out in the bathroom!

The heater worked well in the room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi works well. Food is buffet and good. Location is good, but a little hard to find.

Cons: The room was very-very small, the bed was hard and shorter than me and the blanket is not comfortable. There is not much space for your legs at the toilet if you are sitting down. I selected this riad for the heated pool (as it was written on the booking page), but none of the pools was heated (and the workers did not want to heat it up because of vaporation). So I paid a lot more than what this small room would worth it.

Nothing

Cons: Absolute Nightmare - Never Stay Here! I cannot stress this enough: never stay at Riad Africa! We booked our stay months in advance, only for them to cancel our room at the last minute after our payment went through, the night before we travelled to Morocco. They tried to relocate us to a completely different place outside the city, which was nowhere near what we had booked. When we refused, they became unbelievably aggressive. We were met by three men who argued with us, refused to refund our money, and tried to intimidate us into accepting a tiny, broom-closet-sized room that they hastily made up. The entire experience was hostile and uncomfortable, with staff being very rude and pushy. After a heated confrontation, they eventually moved us to another Riad who they were clearly friends with. However, it was nowhere near the same standard – no pool, no dinner, and completely subpar. These people are absolute charlatans who will take your money and then bully you into settling for rubbish accommodations. Avoid at all costs!

I chose this Riad since it was good value and also had the pools and spa. I booked the spa package which was excellent and refreshing. Place isn't new but it's charming and I had a nice stay there. The breakfast was simple but nice, beds comfortable and they had air-conditioning which is much needed as it was very hot. The staff went above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, very helpful and friendly. Overall it was an excellent stay.

The services provided by the property were ok. No complimentary tea or warm reception. Just water was provided. One issue I had and wasn’t addressed properly by the staff was about arranging a pickup from the station to Riad, I contacted the property via Expedia and there was no WhatsApp info, they didn’t respond to query in time. When I showed them unanswered messages the staff was trying to tell me that you may have contacted wrong property. I politely explained pls check this message it is sent directly to your property, there is no other property. I had to arrange a private pick up, wait at the station for 30 mins, pay extra for the trolley service and the staff response was “oh well you are here now”. One more time I asked for transportation back to the Airport I asked for help but their reference rates were very high as compared to services offered by others in the same area. To be clear these are not their direct services but extended services or through their affiliates. But for a tourist not familiar with the area and to get an end to end experience these were big gaps that I didn’t experience at any other Riad. All other Riads in Morocco were very helpful and arranged these services happily, Going out of their way and tried to make a good experience for me and my family.

Not able to give a review as never stayed in the Riad I booked, instead got moved to another Riad on arrival. Will give an 8 as all the staff were lovely, but I wish I had stayed in the Riad Africa.

Cons: Unfortunately, when I arrived I was told that rooms were under maintenance and we (2 rooms) were moved to a different Riad which did not have the amenities of the Riad Africa, I was really disappointed as I had chosen the Riad Africa for the amenities, Spa treatments, restaurant etc... I wish I had been told this a few days before I arrived, so I could have cancelled and booked another option. I was really upset, but decided to not say anything, as there was nothing that could be done as no rooms available (I booked this over 2 months before arriving to be told no rooms available on arrival).

Absolutely amazing! Hassan and the rest of the team were so friendly, welcoming, informative and helpful. They couldn't do enough to make it the best possible stay. The roof top terrace was superb, with secluded areas to sit separate from other families, with sheltered areas to sit out of the sun if needed. Breakfast was also served on the terrace which was a gorgeous setting. The riad was situated perfectly, at the bottom of the souks, but away from the main market square, which was about a 5 minute walk. The Riad gave us a unique and traditional experience of Marrakech, a very cultural holiday. I would definitely return to Riad Africa, we absolutely loved it! A Mum who travelled with 4 older teens/early 20's, who also thoroughly enjoyed staying here too. They even got into the pool, and spa, even though it was a little cold!!

Had a delightful 8 night stay at this gorgeous riad. Great location. Very quiet and only a 5 minute walk to the bustling souks. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the roof terraces are so pretty where breakfast is served every morning. The riad boasts an elegant library comprising of sumptuous sofas with an array of books and a separate room for playing chess. Very comfortable canopied areas all around the riad if the heat is too much or in the event of a shower. Top terrace has loungers with large sun umbrellas and there is an abundance of outside seating with tables. It was a joy to stay there!

The location is pretty good.

Cons: The room was really small and the sound insulation from people walking in the corridor was non-existent. The water in the shower didn't go down the drain properly and when mentioning this to the owner, I was told I had to remove the lid in the floor drain when having a shower and put it back after to keep the cockroaches from entering the apartment. When asking them to print the boarding pass (which for some reason is necessary when flying from Marrakech) I was just told the printer is broken. All in all quite a disapointment.

I liked the hotel overall. It was clean, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly, fast check-in process and in a good location.

Cons: I hated the room I got, it was a torture and couldn't sleep at all, long drive south decided to stay the night and rest in Marrakech, I looked for a private room with AC, TV, private bathroom to rest and enjoy a night in peace, initial options I favored were quickly booked and reserved this one in a rush expecting it to be the same or better as it it costed more, the room was soo tiny like an under stairs storage place, bed was framed between two walls so I could never fully stretch my legs the entire night without having to lift them on the wall or drop them to the bed side(I am only 5,11), it had no windows, very badly ventilated and very hot, the AC was too big for the room, when on the led light showing temperature was enough to light up the entire room and was very noisy and could feel it drying my throat, I turned it off and decided to open the small bathroom window and door to get a breeze in and I got swarmed by mosquitoes, all of this and the worst part of the room that led me to write this review was the constant water dripping sound from the sewers above that almost drove me crazy, it was constant all night and with the silence and the tight space and discomfort I was in it was a mental torture, I spent the night watching ig reels waiting for the morning to leave as the TV wasn't working as well, Definitely avoid if you're claustrophobic or if your >5,10 in hight, value for the money was the worst I have ever seen with all respect

Nice location, but was hard to find. I booked an room with twin bed and ac on expedia, but got an small room without ac. This was very hard to endure on the first day when it was 30 degrees. When asked to staff they told me all other rooms were booked for the first day, they offered me swap to other room, but that would be unneccesary because i had to leave late on the last day (2 day stay). Still strangely they asked me to pay for the water and printing (paper fly ticket). Overall decent location, with strange advertisement on expedia. Bit dissapointed.

Very nice little Riad in the heart of Marrakech. It offers a nicely laid out and relaxing vibe when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The price/quality ratio was excellent.

As to the riad we actually stayed (Explore) - staff were very kind, provided us with a great early breakfast before our Sahara trip (even hot pancakes). Rooms looked fresh and beds were comfy and décor was actually nice and good quality. Even kettle with teas was inside room. Breakfast was tasty and had enough variety.

Cons: I had chosen my accommodation meticulously, looking for details I like. Therefore I was dissatisfied when after a long travel our family were rerouted to another riad - Explore, the explanation that they are one chain was not suitable, as this was not stated on the booking page. The other riad had a small cold pool, undeveloped roof area, and cold-feeling decor (white, silver, and arctic explorers).

Riad is beautiful and the location in the middle of Medina is brilliant. Even tho it's located right next to souks I had a silent and relaxing stay. Staff is extremely helpful and lovely. They answered all of my silly questions happily and helped me find all the locations I was looking for. Breakfast was tasty and they had many options to choose from! Hammam and massages was great way to relax after long days of walking. Definitely will be back to Riad Africa!

Cons: It was little bit cold in the room at night during my stay, specially the floors, but just remember to take your woolen socks with you and you'll be fine!

Terrible experience—this hotel was apparently overbooked, so they sent us to another tiny hotel, charging us same high price. Credit card machine didn’t work and they demanded we pay the entire bill upfront in cash. Worst check-in experience I’ve ever had, this place is a complete rip-off. The place was very authentic, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was tight but acceptable as the Riad is quite compact. The location was close to the square.

Cons: Finding the place was not easy. Taxi drivers drop by the nearest roundabout, and then you have to walk for 5-10mins in a pedestrian street (with mopeds and bikes) to find the place. This was a shock to us and would have liked an exact location confirmed plus also someone to meet at a drop off point.

The staff were very helpful when they couldn't provide dinner for me when I arrived. They took me to a very nice restaurant where I had dinner on the rooftop. They also ensured that I could contact someone at all times in case I got lost. Excellent buffet-style breakfast. I loved the café au lait with frothy milk!

Cons: I had requested dinner the evening of my arrival because I was arriving late after overnighting in the desert. Due to some temporary staff changes and hours, it was not possible. I would have appreciated being notified ahead of time. Also, I chose this riad because it offered a hammam. It was not working. Some of the riad is being renovated. Breakfast: Absolutely stunning selection of hold and cold food, including fresh orange juice, mint tea, etc. Staff: Most friendly staff of all my Morrocco accommodations! Amenities: In case you want to have more than breakfast at the hotel you can, as you can use one cold and one warm pool and as you can enjoy some spa offers right at the hotel.

Cons: Nothing! Honestly maybe for single female travellers the walk in the night through the small streets may be scary but I have been made aware the hotel offers to pick people up from the round-about which is more busy also at night and in any case it is only 2min away.

The location was excellent as were the staff, the bed linen and towels were changed regularly .

Cons: The decor was a bit tired , ripped curtains shower small with only a spray arm so water went everywhere . The room facilities were inconsistent, hairdryer missing in one room along with safe key ( so couldn’t use it ) and heater missing from other. have never had to pay for water in the room before especially in a country where you are advised not to drink the tap water , it was charged at 25 MAD per bottle and only cost 7-10 MAD outside

The staff in this establishment were lovely, welcoming and always ready to help. They were great to interact with, had lovely conversation with Yusuf. It’s a very good location and close to everything you need and easily accessible location to plan for booked activities and pickup. The road was beautifully designed and the room was very cosy and had all that I needed from an equipment perspective. The area also felt relatively safe and I didn’t have any concerns for that regard during my stay. If looking for a place, I would recommend and would totally find myself back here.

Cons: Although I deemed this as minor, I wasn’t too pleased that the booking accommodation was changed when I got there without prior notice with the reasoning that renovations were being made. It would have been nice to receive communication for this prior to arrival and not on the day of my arrival. It would also have been nice to verify that I was still getting a room similar to what I paid for or better and nothing less. The wifi at the establishment was not so great, it was stronger in certain areas and weaker in some and the area I was at didn’t have great connection which posed some difficulty when I tried to work and also just trying to browse when in my room. There is a tourist bed tax in Morocco which I was not aware of until my day of checkout which meant an extra cost. Perhaps this might have been on the extra info leaflets in the room but this can be easily missed or ignored. I think it would be great that this be factored into the price when a booking is made OR if not possible to do so for third party bookings, the customers are informed of this as part of the booking information that’s shared/emailed once the booking is confirmed. I felt this wasn’t very well communicated especially for people who are trying to budget accordingly. Clear communication on this would be appreciated.

I loved the entire experience. I would suggest some vegan vegetarian options for breakfast beans tofu other protein sources besides meat and eggs. I loved our room, however my friend flooded the bathroom as she did not know to move the stopper/drain for water when showering. That needs to be made clearer to those who are not aware i. I ended up sopping up the mess with all the towels..Other wise loved the staff Samir, who served breakfast, Rafi the Manager, all the house keeping staff and Khatifah the masseuse, I may be misspelling her name. Having a heater brought to the room the section night improved my comfort as it was chilly, as well as an extra blanket. I hope to visit again... This is a true Moroccan house. Nothing from the outside, luxury inside. Authentically decorated rooms named after different African towns surround a crystal clear pool that makes you feel good even in the hottest summer day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Cons: While the location is central, it is just 300 meters away from the main square, this place is hard to find. You have to pass through 3 or 4 narrow ways with no doors or windows before you find the hotel door. But once you found it once, you will remember the way.

Location, accessibility, overall vibe on the interior and rooftop terrace, overall staff were gentle and just friendly enough. This place is an oasis in the centre of the ville and the staff is amazing! The property is located in the heart of Marrakesh, in the middle of busy small market streets, but once you are inside you feel completely isolated of this vibrant market. It is like entering an oasis in the middle of the dessert. Rooms are clean and nice, air condition, private bathroom. It includes a delicious breakfast in the terrace of the riad. But the best of all is the staff. Very friendly, helpful and honest. We left behind a small bag with souvenirs, called them, and they sent us the bag to Tangier where we picked it up two days later. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect (less than a 15 min walk to many Marrakech attractions) and the building was spotless and beautiful. I think the room we'd reserved was double booked because we were placed in a smaller room the first night, but were subsequently upgraded to a junior suit the second night. The staff were very helpful and did everything they could to improve our stay, including finding a room that was a bit more accessible for my mobility issues.

The staff were very kind and friendly and the location was perfect.

Cons: Our driver was very late to pick us up from the airport which meant we sat outside the airport waiting for over an hour. Our sheets were dirty (had hairs in them) I asked them to change the sheets and they were apparently changed but I don't believe they were because the same black hairs were still in the sheets. They did give us clean sheets once again. The room was very dark and not like what was in the pictures on booking.com. Again the staff were super kind and friendly however I think they need to invest in better quality sheets and ensure they are actually clean.

the guys at the reception were very kind

Cons: We have chosen the Riad to spend the New Year’s Eve night, however it turned out to be a nightmare. Once arrived we have been assigned to a room far from described and showed in the pictures and from what we paid for. It was straight in the entrance, close to the hammam room, without windows and so small we could not even fit. Not to mention the “delightful” noise of the people coming and leaving the Riad and the door bell continuously ringing. Furthermore, the bed was dirty (with hair on the pillow) and did not even have new sheets to change it. The guy at the reception was kind however could not find a solution for us since the Riad was fully booked. He was sorry for the inconvenience and offered also a free night in Marrakech in the near future, however we will never go to that hotel again. We could not find an alternative hotel since it was too late. Again, We have reserved our twin safari room on the 25th of September, meaning 3 months before the New Year’s Eve and got a room looking like a closet instead.

It is a beautiful riad. The superior room was comfortable. The breakfast was quite good.

Cons: Our superior room was fine. However our friends got a normal room and were sent to the ‘annex’ which was actually a different riad which was very much a budget dive. They didn’t have a locking door and lacked hot water the first day. There were no pictures of their type of room in the riad’s description so there was no warning it could have been so awful. A bit deceptive.

Staff was very friendly. They want guests to have a great experience there.

Cons: Things are a bit overpriced. Didn’t think to ask ahead of time how much dinner was. turns out, I was later told it was $27, nearly 2/3 what I paid for the smallest room. :( Also, several groups of tourists stayed out drinking late on Friday and rang the doorbell at 12:30, 1:30 and a little after 2 a.m. They also beat on the door for a few minutes around 2 a.m. since staff was unable to get there immediately. Dinner was good but not worth the price. I think I would have been better off staying at a more expensive riad with more business travelers and getting a cheap meal from one of the many restaurants around town. Since I didn’t want to pay the 900 MAD for private transport to Imlil, the staff were kind enough to find someone to take my luggage to a shared taxi and explain to the driver where I was going. This way, I was able to pay only 50 MAD for the shared taxi, which is good because I am currently without a job and very much traveling on a budget.

I wish I could remember all of the staff’s names but Aziz who works in reception was absolutely brilliant. As soon as I checked in, he sat me down and talked me through a map of Marrakesh which I really appreciated. He was warm, friendly and very welcoming. No question or request was ever too big an issue! He is a credit to himself and to the Riad Africa! The room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was very nice and great value for money. Location was good and adorable staff. Without them this accommodation was a -10!!!

Cons: First time writing a negative thing about an accomodation but it’s needed. Absolutely not received what we booked and pictures are false. We received a veryyyyy small and old room with two separated beds. (They ended by putting them side by side because there were no other rooms available) The bathroom wasn’t even inside the room as indicated and ridiculously small. The walls were broken and lots of mould. We absolutely do not recommend this accommodation. We would NEVER pay this price for what we received.

The location, in the Medina just off Zitoun el Kadim and within a few minutes walk of many of the major sites, is a real plus. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall if you want a good value Riad experience in the heart of old Marrakech I would recommend a stay.

Cons: I accept these are converted old houses not glossy hotels but the Riad relies on solar heating for hot water. So in December there was no running hot water in the rooms until mid morning. I worked around that others may find it a real drawback. Oh and the divans on the roof terace could do with a proper clean.

Mustafa was sweet and his English was fairly good. it was well located.

Cons: it’s much smaller and shabbier than pictured in their wide-angle photos. our room (family room) was very narrow — really only had room for the beds. the electrical wiring was poor and it was hard to charge devices with adapters. their outlets even burned out two of our adapters. the internet was very slow. the pool was not heated as advertised. breakfast was a pretty weak buffet. we tried to book a massage but their only masseuse wasn’t working that day and the hammam wasn’t ready regardless.

The location is great. Close to everything in the Medina area. Accommodations are great. Breakfast has a lot of selection. Ask for an omelette and they will make you just eggs. But then you can add meat and cheese from Buffett to fill it up. A big wind and rain storm came through during my stay and the Riad weathered it well. WiFi did not work the first day, but worked after that. Not super fast, but was able to get a few basic things done. I arrived at night, and it was a little difficult to find. Ignore the references in their directions (telecom sign and glass shop). I did not see those. But otherwise their directions are spot on. Your first left is a bigger alley/street at about 4m wide. It is the first alley. Make the left there and follow the rest of the directions. The only negative might be the hot water in the shower of my room. Eventually it would get hot, but it was just a trickle of water. It was not a shower head issue, as on cold it had good pressure. Leave your key when you leave if you want to have it cleaned. There was a television in the room, but I could not get any channels (I did not try very hard to get it to work. I also did not ask for help).

Situated in a good location (4 quick turns) off a main vein of the medina. Close to the outer medina perimeter (helpful for getting a taxi!), but with direct access to the square. Friendly, welcoming and attentive staff team. Room was comfortable and I was grateful for the air con in my room to counter the summer heat. It was generally quiet, however, I think the design of medinas generally facilitate sound travel. Daily breakfast featured a delicious spread to start the day. The small pool in the center of the medina was a good option after a long day of exploration.

Cons: Guests need to knock on the outer gate/door to enter the riad, which I believe is typical. However, a couple of times it took 2-3 rounds of knocking for someone to come to the door.

Location is good Staff is nice and helpful (by email and onsite)

Cons: Outdated facility, dirty and false advertising. I booked a single room for 2 nights and I was expecting nothing but what the online description says. I was initially given a tiny room with a broken bed, no sunlight and ensuite. The so called bathroom was outside and at a walking distance from the bedroom, does not lock from the outside and was sold to me as a "private bathroom" facing the pool. This obviously did not match the booking and the manager (Redouan?) had the nerve to say it was perfectly fine for a woman. Given the situation, I was unhappy and made it very clear that I was ready to go and request a refund. The manager understood that a bad review was coming and contacted his manager to upgrade me to a larger/better room (because "he doesn't like to read bad comments online"). The new room was decent in size but very dusty and dirty (not cleaned after the last guest). I found hair in the batroom, pee on the toilet seat, shower and sink were dirty and did not drain properly (water comes up to your ankle when showering), bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. AC facing the bed. Breakfast was limited but I was not expecting much anyways.

Property manager s difficult to access right in the heart of old Medina! Streets are unpacked making it difficult to roll suitcase. The rooms were unaired and smelled terrible so had to move to 3 different rooms! No hot water, and my third night no heat so I literally froze. Rasheed who seemed to be the only handyman, concierge cook, cleaner... tried to fix the heater for over 20 minutes He just gave up in the end and left me to freeze till morning. Faisal was the property manager was very apologetic but was there daytime. No one during the night hours. I stayed 2 nights then went to Chefcewan, and they kept my suitcase for me. I was for the second time Marrakech, first time in Riad Africa. I was very much surprised, when I entered the room; it was depressingly small and had no mini bar and free bottle of water, as promised by Hotels.com publication. I came late on the evening, so I accepted it. The first good surprise next morning was Breakfast: the Continental Breakfast was actually the English one with everything and with fried eggs or omellettes. The juice and coffee were very good.I had - after Breakfast - the talk to Hotel Manager, Mr. Redone, who is wonderful person, very kind and a real proffessional, always prepared to help.He understood I couldn't stay in such small room and he upgraded me to the much better one, where I could really breathe. The room had small fridge, safe, tea/coffee facility and I also got the free water. So, because of Mr. Redone I really enjoyed my staying in Riad Africa. Each room has its name and mine was Okavango. The price, however, is not very low (about 57 euros, including good Breakfast and all taxes). I am staying again in Riad Africa, if I come back to Marrakech. This "if" is because of Marrakech traffic system. The narrow shoppong streets should be for pedestrians only, but there are so many motors, small cars and vehicles with different animals, that it is very dangerous for shoppers, as they are driving as if they are crazy, men, women, young and older ones. They have all priorities on these narrow streets and I've been hit by them several times. The air isbad.

My experience with Riad Africa was simply amazing! The staff provided superb service--even going out of their way to prepare breakfast bags for the nine of us to takeaway early morning on our day trip to Casablanca/Rabat. They were also very friendly, genuine, and caring. The facility is a bit small, but a gem inside the gates of Medina. Water pressure esp. for shower was not that great, but workable. We loved our stay at Riad Africa. We had great communication with the staff before our arrival as well as during our stay. They were very helpful in giving us suggestions for what to do, directing us toward the souks and being available for any help we needed. The room was great -- I had a pool right outside, a heater, tv, safe, a comfortable bed, robes, and a nice couch to lounge on. The shower was great with lots of hot water. Shampoo and body wash were provided. The wifi was pretty good too! This Riad has a good location and some nice rooms. We booked one of the cheaper rooms which was located up 2 very steep staircases. It faced out on to another property that housed a workshop whos primary trade appeared to be angle grinding metal, all day. If you plan to be out all the time, there is no problem. I think this only affects 1 or 2 rooms. As not all the rooms appeared to be full, it would have been nice to have been offered an alternative, a little easier for my pregnant wife, but we didnt ask, so we didnt get. (Too tired after having to stand for 1.5 hours in customs just to get stared at and a stamp in the passport plus another 45mins waiting for the arranged taxi that never came) The breakfast and dinners here were nice and the staff always tried to be very helpful. I would not recommend that you use their airport transfer or have them arrange a car. Local taxis charge half what the riad does, which is a shame they feel the need to inflate the price instead of securing at the local price for the convenience of their customers. When the car does show up it is no limo. If staying i would recommend the superior rooms, and probably not the ones on the ground floor, unless you like people eating their breakfast outside your single glazed window.

Great time at Riad Africa, staff are absolutely lovely and place is beautiful. Such a shame that we came when it was raining! We met other couples at the riad who said that the weather had been amazing prior to our arrival and that the riad pool and roof top were great during that time. Rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was perfect. The egg cooked in the tagine is a must eat.

Couldn't et the hot water fixed during our stay but happily compensated us for it. They did try but apparently the plumber they were able to get didn't do it right. The staff did everything right.
