We spent 2 weeks in Morocco and this was our favourite accommodation by far. The place is a hidden sanctuary inside a maze of loud and busy medina streets. It’s bewilderingly quiet and serene inside and it does truly feel like a spa experience just being there. The premise is absolutely beautiful! Room was very spacious, super clean, and very tastefully decorated. The patio upstairs is gorgeous and a great place to spend an afternoon lounging around. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. And service was second to none! - Best we’ve seen in all of Morocco (thank you Ftah). I even managed to take a dip in their little pool which was a truly wholesome experience after a hot day out.

Cons: Property looking a little bit tired Paint falling off, mould on the bathroom ceiling. When we was ready to check out was told if we paid by by card, we would have to pay an extra 2% for card fees we was not made aware of this before booking. Property is not very well signed posted took over 30 minutes to find and is a little bit daunting when you first get that down a very dark alleyway.

The riad is clean, well-equipped, and offers a great breakfast with varied traditional options. The terrace is a nice bonus, and the staff are wonderful—especially Morad, who went above and beyond, even arranging takeaway breakfast for early departures.
Cons: There are a few minor downsides to note. The rooms can feel a bit humid due to the lack of outside windows, and noise can carry easily as the walls, doors, and windows are quite thin. The bed was on the firmer side, and the pillows were quite flat, which may not suit everyone’s preference. Additionally, the riad can be a little difficult to find at first—having a plaque or clearer signage on the street would be helpful. Overall, Riad Dar Alma and Spa offers a warm, authentic experience with excellent service, and we would happily stay here again.

- tolle ruhige Lage in der Nähe der Souks ( 5min)--- Wenn wir nicht abgeholt worden wären, hätten wir es kaum gefunden - sehr familiäres kleines Riad ( 5 Zimmer mit 12 Betten) welches liebevoll restauriert und eingerichtet ist - Durch die vielen Mitarbeiter haben wir uns wie ein VIP gefühlt. - Das Essen wurde extra für uns und nach unseren Wünschen zubereitet und schmeckte hervorragend.
Cons: Wir empfanden die Zimmer als SEHR hellhörig! Die Toilette des Nachbarzimmers war direkt an unserem Kopfende, so dass wir bei jedem Badbesuch live dabei waren. Konstruktionsbedingt hört man bei normalem Sprechen jedes Wort aus allen Zimmern und der Küche. Wer hier etwas empfindlich ist, sollte dies unseres Erachtens einfach wissen. Was wir so in Marokko bis dato nicht erlebt hatten war, dass wir bei der Zahlung mit Kreditkarte 2% Gebühren selber zu zahlen hatten!!! ... und wir haben sehr viel mit Kreditkarte in Marokko bezahlt. Das hat leider bei uns einen Beigeschmack hinterlassen.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits au Riad pour l'occasion d'un enterrement de vie de jeune fille ! Nous étions 10 filles, le Riad privatisé pour nous toutes ! Le personnel est charmant , d'un grande gentillesse, c'est surtout Mourad qui s'est occupé de nous ! Il a été d'une grande disponibilité, d'une gentillesse, au petit soin pour nous !!! Le Riad est idéalement placé, à proximité de tout !!!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au riad. Les chambres sont spacieuses bien équipées avec le nécessaire de base. Le spa est vraiment agréable avec un hammam traditionnel ainsi que de très bons massages. La décoration est raffinée et élégante. La cuisine, petite déjeuner comme dîner est INCROYABLE. Nous avons manger copieusement et avec des saveurs bien travaillées. C'était du comme à la maison mais avec beaucoup de goût. Le couscous et Tajine sont un vrai régal. Merci de nous avoir fait découvrir les saveurs et d'avoir toujours pris le temps de nous expliquer. Un énorme MERCI à MOURAD , qui est quelqu'un d'adorable, de généreux et qui nous a vraiment aidé, accompagné, et a été aux petits soins. Même si l'accès peut se faire pour la première fois avec un peu d'appréhension, le quartier est très calme et bien situé pour visiter la médina et aller jusqu'au jardin Majorelle. Ce fut un merveilleux séjour.

Posto super tranquillo, pulito e staff gentile. Classico riad curato nei dettagli. Abbiamo prenotato anche hammam e massaggio tramite il loro staff..tutti molto cordiali ed estremamente rispettosi. Dovrebbero solo evidenziare dipiù il punto preciso in cui si trova il riad, perché le mappe in generale non sempre sono aggiornate e precise.

It was in the perfect location, it was beautiful and clean. We had Murad with us throughout our stay at the riad, and he made our trip amazing. He was kind, helpful, knowledgeable and made sure we were okay and happy. Murad was the perfect host, our meals were also perfect. We thought he had been working there for years and would like to thank him again for everything!

Beautiful and authentic riad in a great location inside the Medina. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, the staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the homemade breakfast was delicious with traditional Moroccan pancakes, fresh fruit and great coffee.

The Riad is beautiful and exactly like in the pictures. Everything was clean with attention to the details and the staff was amazing! Abdullah especially helped us a lot when we ran out of hot water, he let us use the shower in the hamam. He also helped us a lot with our luggage during our checkout and he prepared and served us a delicious dinner! The breakfast was really good as well. They even let us check in earlier which was very appreciated. There is also the option to pay by card.
Cons: The only thing that we didn’t enjoy that much was the massage. We had massage one evening and while we booked for 1 hour, it didn’t last that long. There is not a dedicated room for it, it’s just within the common area behind a curtain so you can hear everyone coming into the Riad, sounds from the kitchen, etc. Also, the masseuses were talking to each other during our session which made it difficult to relax. One out of the two beds was not made for massage so it was not comfortable at all.

Die Betreuung im Riad war sehr gut, es ist 24h jemand erreichbar. Vom Riad aus wurde uns auch eine tolle Tour organisiert. Das Frühstück war frisch gemacht und hat jeden Tag variiert. Unser Zimmer war schön, die Lage des Riads ist total ruhig - es liegt 5min zu Fuß von den Souks entfernt.
Cons: Das Badezimmer ist sehr feucht. Aber das war auch schon alles! :)

The stay at Riad Dar Elma and Spa was excellent - riad is located close to the medina, quiet and safe area, you need 20 minutes to go to a good atm at the main square, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food at the place is very tasty. Overall this is a good base to explore the city. The staff will help you with everything and organise trips. We took the baloon one for a decent price and it was amazing. Some lessons learned that might be useful: - it is worth to take the driver, he will most likely wait for you when you leave the airport, not when you reach the arrival hall, - at the riad you can pay with a credit card but the best option seems to be euro in cash, - in the city the best option is to use barid bank atm at the main square. It has very good exchange rates (it was a bit below 0.40 PLN). So bring euro in cash for the riad tours/services and the rest from the atm - when you walk from the riad you first reach a square, go west for souks, south for the main square and east for doukala bus station and local food market. - If you go east from the above square there is a little barber place after a few metres on you left. The guy over there does old school razor shaving for 3 euros, amazing stuff, - we took the full day city tour, our guide had a great knowledge about the city and very interesting stories but be aware of the shopping. I think the guides take you to some places run by their mates. You can find places with much better prices on your own (difficult to rate the quality tho). In our case we were taken to a berber pharmacy and spent a bit too much for what we got (it wasnt so bad - they did explain stuff and offered tea, also gave some money back later).

O que realmente tornou a estadia especial foi a equipa. Fomos tratadas com um carinho e cuidado imensos; estavam sempre prontos a ajudar e deram-nos as melhores dicas para explorar a cidade. Um agradecimento do fundo do coração à Sana, Abdolah, Meryem, Aicha e Mohamed por nos fazerem sentir em casa. Recomendamos a 100%!

Perfect experience for us 4 girls, filling breakfasts every morning and had lots of help from the staff, Riad was in a nice quiet area but still very close to a lot of central areas a short walk away. Ciao, siamo stati ospiti del Riad una sola notte e abbiamo preso 2 camera una per i nostri ragazzi e altra matrimoniale. La camera matrimoniale era al piano terra abbastanza confortevole, l altra camera al primo piano nella norma. Abbiamo avuto un problema con acqua calda e dopo diverse insistenze è arrivato il tecnico che ha finalmente risolto il problema. La colazione è stata ottima ed il personale molto gentile.
Cons: Abbiamo dovuto insistere per far sistemare il problema dell acqua. Probabilmente la funzionalità delle camere andrebbe verificata prima.

My husband, 7 year old daughter and I had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this riad. Consistently friendly and hospitable staff, delicious breakfasts and a lovely setting. My husband had a hammam and massage which he really enjoyed, we had a family cookery lesson which was a great success and the airport transfers were smooth and comfortable. The dinners we had on our night of arrival and New Year's Eve were delicious. I had worried that we might be cold at night given the age of the building but the wall-mounted heater worked perfectly. We did run low on hot water a couple of times but this was when a bath was followed by 2 showers and not necessarily when the water heater would have been on. Perfectly decent hair-dryer and a safe in the room. Location-wise, the riad was perfect for sight-seeing and shopping in the souks and we were given a map and a very helpful orientation on our first morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Спасибо большое персоналу - администратор помог купить нам билеты в сады Мажорель (их можно взять только онлайн с оплатой картой, в кассах нельзя - кассы в самом саду закрыты и не работают). Завтрак также был очень вкусный и сытный. Риад расположен в узких улочках (часть из них крытые - после захода солнца темно) - если разобраться - там не страшно ходить вечером.
Cons: Обогреватель в номере установлен на шкафу и дует так, что греет только верхнюю часть воздуха около шкафа - в номере довольно прохладно. Одна из двух розеток у кровати выглядит как неевропейская (вообще мне оказалась довольно непонятной). Все остальное в номере хорошо.

Cons: Le rapport prix prestation n y est pas du tout, une énorme déception. A 175 euros la nuit je m attend à mieux qu une chambre exigüe avec 3 lits l un pres de l autre dont un avec un matelas extremement dur. Sans isolation phonique (toutes les chambres s entendent), une douche à la pression moyenne. La piscine est au milieu de la salle à manger, choix discutable pour encourager les clients à s y baigner. Le Hammam et le jacuzzi sont en suppléments. La chambre n était pas faite tous les jours... tout cela pourrait être acceptable mais pas à ce tarif. Je ne comprend pas les notes, j ai eu des expérience bien meilleures a bien moins cher.

En un sitio muy próximo al zoco el dueño un señor muy amable, llegamos tarde sobre las 10 al alojamiento, el taxista llamó al Riad para ver si podía recogernos donde nos dejaba el taxi ya que donde está el Riad hay como un trozo que no pueden acceder coches y el chico súper amable en un segundo estaba recogiéndonos, nos preparó un té y unas pastas. A destacar su simpatía y amabilidad

La struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli, con un’atmosfera autentica e rilassante che ti fa sentire subito immerso nel fascino di Marrakech. Le camere sono pulitissime e profumate, tutto è mantenuto con grande attenzione e ordine — un aspetto che abbiamo molto apprezzato. La colazione è stata eccezionale: abbondante, varia e preparata con ingredienti freschi, è stato un piacere iniziare la giornata nel patio tranquillo gustando dolci tipici, frutta e succhi freschi. Un altro punto a favore è la disponibilità e la gentilezza dello staff: al termine del soggiorno ci hanno permesso di lasciare i bagagli all’interno del Riad anche dopo aver liberato la camera, così abbiamo potuto godere liberamente delle ultime ore in città senza pensieri.

Our transfer was organised from the airport and we were met at the drop off location which was very helpful late at night with our bags. The Road is close to the big sights, and the staff were extremely helpful with anything that we needed during our stay. We would highly recommend!

Je wordt echt op handen gedragen. Het personeel is zo ontzettend vriendelijk en willen je altijd helpen. De accommodatie is echt midden in de medina en met 5 minuten lopen sta je in de soukh. Verder Ijn de kamers schoon en worden ze ook tussendoor goed schoongemaakt. Je kan je ook lekker terugtrekken in de fijne kamers van de riad na een dag in deze drukke stad.
Cons: Het zwembadje is vrij klein maar op het dakterras heb je ook een jacuzzi waar je gebruik van kan maken tegen betaling van een toeslag. Wij hebben hier geen gebruik van gemaakt omdat het op dat moment 40 graden was.

I absolutely loved my stay at Riad Dar Elma! My room was spacious, my bed confortable and super clean. The Riad is well decorated and the terrace upstairs is perfect to relax at the end of the day. The breakfast was varied everyday and served in the beautiful patio around the pool. The Riad is also steps away from the Medina and Jamaa Elfna! What I loved the most about it was the staff, I cannot thank them enough for how helpful and welcoming they were! I had an issue with my phone charger, and they found one for me late at night! Jamal the manager is an absolute legend! He helped me organise a trip to the desert and also kept my luggage for me at the Riad while I was away so I could travel with a small bag. On my way back I couldn't book my bus ticket to Essaouira through my phone, and when I messaged him about it, he went to the station and got a ticket for me, so I don't miss out on the bus the next day. The hospitality of Jamal was just outstanding and he made my trip even more special! I will definitely be back! Choukran team Dar Elma and hope see you again soon!

I loved everything about the property! Beautiful architecture, the rooms were well decorated, the riad was super clean and so comfortable! Jamal and his team went beyond hosting me! Jamal helped organise a 3 day trip to Merzouga, I could even leave my suitcases there so I could only travel with a small bag. On my way back, I couldn’t book my ticket for the bus to Essaouira through my phone, Jamal went to the station and booked one for me so I don’t have to worry. I simply have no words for how helpful, kind and welcoming Jamal was! I felt home and even came back for another night after my trip to the desert! I will absolutely be back to Riad Dar Elma and I 100% recommend it! Choukran Jamal and team!!

Amazing stay!!! Highly recommend. I stayed at a few riads in Marrakesh and this one was definitely one of the best! Jamal and his team was SUPER friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, bed was comfy! Shower was super good and had hot water. I also loved that it's a small road - they only have 4 or 5 rooms. Will definitely go back!

Cons: Betreffend glutenfreier Ernährung haben sie sich mühe gegeben - das Frühstück ist aber sehr von Brot und Gebäck geprägt (ist dort halt so üblich). Sie haben zwar glutenfreie Pankackes zubereitet, spezielle Bitten, dass es auf separaten Tellern/Pfannen zubereitet/serviert werden sollte, damit es glutenfrei bleibt, waren eher schwierig. Schliesslich konnten sie aber auf Wunsch als Alternative Reis kochen.

Le riad est idéalement situé : légèrement excentré de la place Jemaa el-Fna, ce qui permet de profiter du calme tout en étant à seulement quelques minutes à pied des souks. Le quartier regorge de petits restaurants charmants à découvrir. En ce début juillet, nous avons particulièrement apprécié la piscine du riad, un vrai bonheur pour se rafraîchir après les balades. Nous avons également testé le hammam et les massages : un pur moment de détente, entre les mains expertes de masseuses aux doigts de fée. Un grand merci au personnel de maison, toujours aux petits soins. Mention spéciale à la cuisinière, adorable et toujours prête à nous préparer un délicieux goûter ou une salade savoureuse. Une parenthèse enchantée que nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

On our last day, we had to leave early, but that was no problem. They made us breakfast at 7 in the morning as per our request. The food is great. The location is very good; it is in the center of the old city and all sightseeing is within walking distance.

Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la nuit et avons été très touchés par l’accueil chaleureux : ils sont venus nous chercher gentiment, ce qui nous a tout de suite mis en confiance. Un immense merci à la personne présente le soir et le matin, toujours attentionnée, souriante et aux petits soins pour nous. Merci également à Jamel pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. The riad is superbly located and a very peaceful place. The staff are fantastic and super welcoming and made our stay a very comfortable one.
Cons: The only thing we struggled with was the noise from elsewhere in the riad such as people eating later or early,, as there is very little sound insulation in the room, although I think is typical of all riads and so would have had this problem anywhere.

Cons: We booked the Hammam massage package for 1hr and was not worth it. The massage was good but the Hammam was not worth it as we did it as a couple and they only spent 10mins in total on each of us when it was supposed to be 30mins each.

Le Riad Dar Elma a un emplacement idéal dans le cœur de Marrakech, à 15 minutes à pied de la place Jama El Fnaa, le quartier est calme et nous n’entendions aucun bruit de la ville la nuit. Le personnel est très accueillant et disponible jour et nuit pour répondre à nos questions. Le massage et le soin au hammam traditionnel était vraiment un plus. La décoration est typique et le petit-déjeuner gourmand. Le prix est très raisonnable pour les prestations proposées. Le petit plus qui fait tout le charme : le rooftop avec les transats tout en haut de l’hôtel. Seul petit bémol pour la piscine vraiment très petite… Nous recommandons !

Le repas du soir était réchauffé au micro ondes, donc la viande était très sèche et très cher , vous pouvez manger mieux et moins cher dans la ville Le guide était vraiment limite: marche trop vite pour les enfants , obligé de lui dire de ralentir 3 fois, ne vous emmène que dans les boutiques avec lesquelles il a un partenariat, et fabule certaines fois...et beaucoup trop cher !

Le personnel étaient aux petits soins pour toute la famille et très patients car nous étions une famille de onze personnes avec quatre enfants très dynamiques. Nous avions privatisé le Riad et nous nous y sommes sentis comme chez nous. Merci aussi pour la soirée sur la terrasse où nous dégustés un fabuleux couscous et un gâteau au chocolat noisette fabuleux pour un anniversaire. Nous avons également testé le Hamman et les massages , fabuleux également. En résumé nous avons été tous enchanté par ce séjour.

Un riad exceptionnel avec une localisation centrale qui nous a permis de tout faire pied. Jamal ainsi que son collègue de nuit a été au petit soin pour nous tout au long du séjour nous avions un enterrement de vie de jeune fille..... Les chambres sont spacieuses bien agencées avec une salle de bain chacune. Nous avons pu bénéficier également de la terrasse au dernier étage ce qui fut très agréable. Nous avons été accueilli le premier jour avec un thé à la menthe délicieux. Vraiment un séjour au top tout était parfait ..la future mariée a beaucoup apprécié notamment le soin au spa ...qui fait parti du riad.

This is a wonderful place to stay with the kindest, most helpful staff you could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble and my daughter and I just loved our stay. We opted to use their transport which is a good idea if you’re unfamiliar with Marrakesh, as a member of staff will meet the taxi and walk you through the alleyways to the riad. I planned a birthday surprise hot-air balloon ride for my daughter through them, and they were very good at keeping it a secret! And again, accompanied us at 6:30 am to the pick up spot - we wouldn’t have wanted to do that alone. We booked this lovely riad for four nights, but were informed before our stay that we would have to transfer to another riad (owned by the same French couple) after two nights, as they had received a booking for exclusive use of dar Elma. However, we were not disappointed by the second riad, Le Limoune, which has an exceptional terrace. We had a couple of delicious (vegan) Tajine suppers at the Riads during our stay - a great option if you don’t want to be out late or have an early start.
Cons: Expect to hear some noise in riads. There is inevitable echo and the sounds of people coming home. In our second Riad le limoune, our room was adjacent to the family home next door and they were enjoying their Saturday night gathering into the early hours. So earplugs recommended!

Lo staff gentile e cordiale; tutti pronti a soddisfare le nostre richieste, compreso un pranzo veloce non previsto (organizzato in una mezz'ora). Colazione perfetta. Posizione strategica per visitare Marrakech. Affidatevi alle loro proposte per le escursioni (giro nella Medina, giro in mongolfiera, deserto di Agafay, ecc...). Le petit déjeuner était varié, chaque jour différent et très bons avec du sucré, du salé, des produits frais et thé ou café au choix. Le patio est très joli, les chambres sont bien décorées, bien équipées (sèche cheveux, gel douche, savon, shampooing, coton tiges, serviettes...) et propres, un peu petites mais on y passe pas la journée donc c'est suffisant. Le personnel était très sympathique, souriant et attentionné. Jolie terrasse pour profiter du soleil sur le toit. Hammam petit mais là encore suffisant et très bien, on était juste surprise d'être en slip toutes les deux dans la même pièce 🤣 (à préciser peut être pour ceux qui n'ont pas l'habitude) Massage au top ! Nous avions pris une heure de massage et c'était vraiment bien ! Emplacement géographique à deux pas du souk donc très facile de tout faire à pied (et facile à retrouver aussi sans se perdre), quelques boutiques à proximité pour acheter de l'eau par exemple. Wifi nickel 👍🏻. Jamel et Karim sont tout les deux très souriants, accueillants, on a bien discuté, merci encore ! De bons conseils pour les visites.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was great, the riad was very clean, and Jamal and all of the other staff members were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Jamal really made us feel at ease and provided us with a map of the area. The riad was a beautiful oasis, a place of calm away from the outside chaos, and the terrace was a sun trap. We also opted for the airport transfers which really helped make our stay a stress free one. The breakfast was tasty and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely riad with exceptional staff who are so friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Jamal in particular as he picked us up from taxi drop off as no cars can drive into the alleys leading to the riad. Checking in he welcomed us with Moroccan mint tea and cookies. Each time we saw him, he always has a big smile and happily engages in conversation with you to ensure you are OK, checking if we need anything etc. Complimentary breakfast with the stay was Moroccan style and very good. I love that each day is not the same items so provides variety. The riad is gorgeous and the beds were comfy. Fantastic stay and would highly recommend this riad to others!

The location is perfect, in a quite ally away from all the noise of the city, but close to all the action. We also made use of the hot tub on the rooftop and gazed at the stars. I loved everything about the riad. Our room was one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever stayed in. I slept extremely well. The location of the riad is close to souks and a short 15 minute walk to the Koutoubia Mosque. The personnel were amazingly thoughtful and kind. We did a cooking class, tried the hammam and massage. This was the full Marrakech experience!

I came a bit too early for the check-in and got the room anyways directly after I came. Also the stuff was very nice, especially Jamal. I enjoyed the hamam and massage too. The location was very good.
Cons: The room was really tiny in comparison to other riads we have been to (price in other riads was about the same or even lower). Additionally we were not informed about the price of the jacuzzi beforehand and found out only after we used it. The water in the jacuzzi was not too warm either. IMPORTANT: You have to remember that even though you need to put down your credit card to book the room you still have to pay cash or card for the room at the riad (2% transaction fee for the card). In our case it made the stay more expensive.

Het is een geweldige riad met ontzettend aardig personeel dat je vriendelijk ontvangt en verder helpt, en schone kamers. Je komt hier echt tot rust en ik kan deze riad enorm aanraden! Wij hebben bij ons verblijf hier ook een massage bijgeboekt wat een goed idee was na 2,5 dag door de medina te hebben gewandeld.
Cons: Het grote plein ligt op 10 minuten afstand als je door de kleine straatjes van de souks loopt, maar met ons richtingsgevoel en daarmee een vergrote kans op verdwalen, zijn wij via de drukke weg gelopen wat dan wel 25 tot 30 minuten lopen is. Dit hebben wij echter niet als vervelend ervaren, maar is wellicht goed te vermelden.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Made calls and bookings for us. Arranged pick up locations for taxis and airport drop off and provided clear directions for landmarks and places to visit. Met us at the drop off location upon arrival and overall could not have been more helpful. Location is central and within easy walking distance of the square, gardens and many mosques and souks. Breakfast was freshly prepared each day and simple. Dinner on our first night was tasty and exactly as ordered - probably the best lamb tagine we had from anywhere (El Fassia included).
Cons: Shame the hot tub on the roof terrace was out of action but we still enjoyed catching a few rays up there on the sun loungers.

Cons: Pas grand chose ce fut un super séjour !Je recommande sans hésiter. L'esprit du riad fait que l'on peut entendre quelques portes s'ouvrir ou se fermer pendant la nuit. Rien de dérangeant pour ma part. Perte du wifi en chambre de temps en temps mais ce n'était pas une priorité non plus pour nous.

Our group of 5 recently stayed at the Riad Sekaya in Fez and it delivered an old world charm that was both unexpected and worth experiencing. We booked a deluxe family room so all of us were able to stay together- a large room with 1 double bed and 4 single beds. The room was clean and spacious enough, the linen was also clean - slightly better lighting would’ve been welcome but not a deal breaker. The interiors of the Riad itself were lovely and traditional - especially the wooden beams, tiles and artwork. The host Mohamed and his team were especially hospitable -always professional and smiling and ensuring we had what we needed, including arranging a porter for our bags. Mohamed organised our dinner at the other Riad nearby, which was very good -especially the Tagine Kefta which we all liked! Breakfast was excellent - large portions and a variety of Moroccan items for us to savour and enjoy. We had an early checkout the next day and Mohamed did offer to buy us some food as the kitchen would not be open- this was a nice gesture however he may have forgotten about it, as we did not get breakfast when we left. To be fair, we did not remind him either. The part our group enjoyed the most was the roof terrace with seating which had an expansive aerial view of the area - we spent both evenings enjoying the cool breeze , the sounds of the old medina and the night lights.
Cons: The bathroom was adequate , however needs a bit of a makeover ( especially the floors) to modernise.

This Riad is a must stay!!! Jamal and the team are so welcoming and friendly. He met us in the city (as the roads to the riad are so small you can’t get a taxi to the location) and he guided us all the way to the Riad. The Riad was stunning, incredibly clean and had delicious food. We also tried the hamman spa and massages which was part of an amazing package deal and was a great experience to add to our stay. To top our finial day we asked for the jacuzzi and that was set up for us and made the last night even more special under the stars. I cannot express enough how friendly and kind all of the staff were. They really took great care of us and were always smiling. Thank you so much friends and team of Riad dar Elma. We hope to come back to see you soon.

La decoración era muy detallada con cosas tipicas tradicionales. Lo mejor sin duda fue el personal, super cercanos y atentos en todo momento, se hicieron cargo de que todo fuese perfecto y a nuestro gusto. Nos ofrecieron todas las facilidades posibles e incluso nos organizaron el desayuno antes de la hora para que pudiéramos ir desayunados al tour que habíamos contratado. Incluso nos intentaron buscar una pieza de ceramica del riad. Toda la comida casera y hecha al momento, la verdad que el desayuno tipico fue un 10.
Cons: Al principio da un poco de impresión por las calles en las que esta situado aunque realmente todos los riads estan en la misma zona y es bastante seguro. Al ser una casa tradicional las puertas no aislan nada el ruido.

Cons: Se si paga con il bancomat bisogna prevedere il 2 per cento di commissioni e un tasso di cambio, stabilito dalla struttura, non molto rispondente a quello ufficiale ( ho pagato due volte con il bancomat e in entrambi i casi, anche considerando la commissione, ho notato successivamente di aver pagato qualche decina di euro in più di quanto previsto). Un piccolo appunto: ho soggiornato in due periodi distinti e addebitarmi una bottiglia di acqua minerale che non mi era stata addebitata durante il soggiorno precedente mi è sembrata una evidente caduta di stile.

Cons: The room and bathroom were a bit disappointing. They were old, damp smell and the bathtub had yellow stains. The kitchen closed after 6-7pm so we weren't able to order food, drinks or snacks but during the day whenever we ordered something although it took a while but it was prepared for us.

Riad Dar Elmar is a little oasis of calm and tranquility away from the busy streets of Marrakech. The room was very comfortable with very welcome air conditioning and we slept really well. Lovely sun terrace, inviting plunge pool but best of all was the staff. Jamal and his colleagues gave exceptional service in looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble and we very much enjoyed the breakfasts and two evening meals at the riad. Very well placed for exploring the souks and the rest of the Medina. We highly recommend :)

Absolutely loved everything about the place. After a hectic trip from the airport, Jamal came to find us and bring us to the door of the Riad. It felt like we had just walked into our home away from home. We were presented with friendly staff and our first mint tea in Morocco. We chilled by the pool which is such an essential in the hot weather. Jamal helped us find our way around the media of Marrakech from the day we arrived until the day we left. They accommodated early breakfast when we had a trip planned. Location is so perfect. A short stroll to the souks and heart of Medina. Would highly recommend this place and thank you for the amazing hospitality!

Jamal, the host, deserves the highest praise for his exceptional service and hospitality. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and complete, and the breakfast served is absolutely delicious. Location is perfect, close to Medina.

C’était une première expérience en famille à Marrakech et cet établissement et son personnel a rendu ce séjour inoubliable et nous a donné la certitude que ça ne sera pas le dernier, les petits déjeuners et plats proposés sont excellents, Karim et Jamal accueillants et extrêmement gentils, les prestations du spa sont aussi très bien, le riad est très bien situé, 20min de la place Jemaa al fnaa sur une place dans laquelle on trouve toujours des taxis. Le personnel toujours à l’écoute, toujours souriant, on a été très bien accueilli dès le premier jour avec des petits gâteaux et du thé. Ils proposent également des excursions mais nous n’en avons pas fais . On recommande beaucoup !

De riad is mooi ingericht en de kamer was in orde. De riad ligt op wandelafstand van de souks en het personeel was vriendelijk.
Cons: Wij hadden meer verwacht van deze riad. We kregen bij aankomst geen uitleg over de riad of over Marrakesh zelf wat we bij onze vorige riad wel kregen. Ook hadden wij helaas wat ongedierte op onze kamer (grote kakkerlakken, het soort dat je in Aziatische landen op brochette stokjes ziet), bij de eerste dachten we “Ok, dit kan gebeuren”, bij de tweede zijn we dit toch gaan melden maar we werden met een smoesje wandelen gestuurd en bij de derde waren we niet meer op ons gemak in de kamer en begonnen we het vies te vinden maar hier werden we weer wandelen gestuurd… de ligbedden liggen tussen de airco units dus in stilte lig je hier niet en als je je even wenst te verfrissen in het zwembad moet je 2 verdiepen naar beneden lopen (niet ideaal, ligmogelijkheid aan het zwembad zou beter zijn). Ook wouden we onze boarding pas afdrukken maar hier vroeg men 10 Dirham voor, gezien we al met kakkerlakken op de kamer zaten vond ik het straf dat ze hier geld voor durfde vragen, niet echt klantgericht… ook werd de kamer niet tussentijds schoongemaakt dus het vuilbakje zat na dag 2 goed vol en wc papier moest je zelf gaan bijvragen…

De driepersoonskamer was ruim en het personeel was super behulpzaam. Het zwembad is klein maar fijn, een goeie manier om even af te koelen! Ook het ontbijt was super! Verschillende Marrokkaanse lekkernijen, met elke dag wat anders. Wij hebben genoten :)
Cons: De waterdruk in de douche is niet erg hoog, goed genoeg om jezelf te wassen, maar lange haren wassen kost iets meer tijd.

The staff were fantastic, Jamal and Karim looked after us so well. The facilities were amazing, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and we also enjoyed the hammam and massage therapies. I would recommend the Road Dar Elma to anyone!

Cons: No es que la ubicacion sea mala sino todo lo contrario. Pero es como hospedarte en el raval de Barcelona, o en las favelas de brasil o un sitio que te choca al llegar pero a diferencia de los nombrados es totalmente seguro aunque te dé la sensacion que no lo es. Osea quebsi buscas hospedarte en un hotel 5 estrellas en un entorno muy humilde èste es tu sitio, pero si quieres estar rodeado de un entorno mas occidental entonces tienes que irte fuera de la medina a buscar hotel

Beautiful hotel located in a very quiet area. Staff if amazing and very welcoming, and breakfast is tasty and big. Don’t forget to check-out the rooftop terrace and the jacuzzi ;)

We stayed there for 2 nights. Raid is very clean, the interior was also very beautiful and the staff was so helpful and lovely, special thanks to Karim. The location is also very good, you can go to all visiting places on foot.

The staff was amazing, nice to us and very helpful. The location was fine and the riad was clean, quiet and authentic. The pool was clean, food was delicious and authentic, we felt safe and calm in the room. Also we were fascinated by the architecture, by the traditional style and by the staff being so kind and nice. We always had a little nice chat and they gave us great tips about what to do or where to go.

We really have enjoyed our stay in this Riad! The hospitality of Karim and Jamal were beyond our expectation!! They really thought along with us to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We enjoyed the jacuzzi many nights, the breakfast and the massage. Perfect stay in this Riad!

Ein sehr gemütliches, liebevoll eingerichtetes Riad. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Dachterasse sowie der kleine Pool sind besonders zu erwähnen. Am Abend kann man den Tag mit einem Bier oder Glas Wein ausklingen lassen. Besonders möchten wir uns bei Fakir bedanken. Er war sehr fürsorglich und beantwortete uns geduldig unsere Fragen. Das gesamte Team ist supernett. Das Frühstück frisch und reichlich. Vielen Dank

L'arrivo al Riad ti inoltra fin da subito nei profumi del paese. Il personale è stato magnifico, disponibile, cortese. Abbiamo avuto una cena squisita, non perdetela. La colazione servita con cura e prodotti locali. Posizione ottima 5 min e siamo nel souck. Taxi sempre disponibili. Noi non ne abbiamo avuto bisogno. Ci hanno organizzato l'escursione per le cascate di Ouzoud, sono venuti fino al riad. Se dovessimo ritornare, soggiornerei sempre lì.
Cons: non ho niente da dire. L'unica cosa per essere puntiglioso :manca l'insegna del Riad sulla via.
