It was a pleasure meeting Daniel who was interesting to talk to and gave us lots of information about things to see and do as well as restaurant recommendations. Ali was very helpful with transfers etc. I think staying at a Ryad is a must for any trip to Morocco. We were very happy with our accommodations.

A great Riad just 2 mins walk away from the square. The team who run this place are amazing and the property is gorgeous. They were also so helpful in making sure we knew where to go and organising taxis for trips to Ait Benhaddou. We stayed in the Royal suite which was huge and great for a family stay. Would recommend this riad for your stay.

Beautiful Riad. Ali and Daniel were excellent as well as all the staff. Airport transfer as well as train transfer went well. We stayed 5 nights. If you are a light sleeper you may want to stay elsewhere because of early morning prayers wake you up at 4:30-5 am every morning

I had a fantastic stay at Riad El Borj, it was my first time in Marrakesh and Morocco and as a solo traveller feeling comfortable is so important, and I felt comfortable here. The environment was beautiful with bougainvillea flowers, orange trees and a beautiful cat, a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the souks. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull, lovely breakfast too.

I had such an amazing time at this Ryad! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The Ryad is walking distance from many historical sites which is convenient if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on transportation. Ali was sooooo nice! He really made my stay wonderful. I highly recommend this Ryad.

Location is perfect in seeing Marrakech. Walking distance to all the sites. Easy to navigate. Location is safe even after hours. Communication was easy with the owner Daniel. Very pleasant gentleman. This riad is a gem in the old Medina. Very spacious, clean, beautiful. The host and the staff were very friendly and ensured we have the most comfortable stay. Even on one of the days we woke up very early to take a day tour they gave us a small bag with breakfast to take with us. These things count to make your stay more and more enjoyable. I would definitely chose this riad again if I revisit Marrakesh :)

Über mehrere Etagen geschachteltes, d.h. einerseits treppenreiches, andererseits aber auch mit vielen privaten Rückzugsräumen und Terrassen ausgestattes Riad zentral direkt hinter dem Djama al Fna. Ein echtes Paradies mit einem traumhaftem Blick über Marrakech von der (Geheimtipp!) Dachterrasse. Leckeres und vielseitiges Frühstück. Das Zimmer war groß und sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der kostenfrei nutzbare Pool im Nachbarriad war leider sehr kalt und der Hof dort im ersten Moment nicht ganz so einladend (laute Bauarbeiten).

Staying in Riad El Borj made our Marrakesh experience even more memorable. It’s a beautiful oasis in the middle of very busy city. All the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, great communication from the management from the beginning. Riad is beautifully decorated and well kept, it’s full of interesting details and culture. Rooftop terrace was amazing. We stayed in the royal suite and it was just fabulous and incredibly spacious. It’s ideally located just a few minutes from the main market and the Souks. I just can’t recommend this Riad and all the people enough! What an experience!

Nous avons pris la suite Royal qui est vraiment magnifique et authentique. Nous déplorons le manque d'intimité, certains clients de l'hôtel regardaient dans notre salon à travers le puit de lumière...Les mêmes clients l'ont fait plusieurs fois alors qu'ils nous voyaient. Il serai bon de mettre une signalisation sur la terrasse afin d'éviter ce genre de comportement. Je n'ai pu jouir paisiblement de la suite, je n'ai pas pu profiter le la baignoire de la salle de bain de peur que quelqu'un me regarde. Ensuite la rue dans laquelle se trouve n'est pas sécurisée. Nous avons demandé à plusieurs reprises d'être escorté dès l'embouchure, ce que l'équipe a accepté gentiment. Nous avons été déçu quant au manque de précision concernant la piscine qui se trouve dans une autre riad , nous devons marcher dans la fameuse rue pour s'y rendre. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le transfert vers le riad et l'aéroport qui sont très bien organisés. Le petit déjeuner pris dans la cour est très copieux et délicieux, la table est magnifiquement dressée. Nous avons également apprécié le ménage quotidien. Daniel et son personnel sont fort sympathiques et font preuve d'un dévouement incroyable.

Beau Riad avec un personnel attentionné et discret, en plein cœur de la médina. Exceptionnellement calme et reposant. La chambre est grande avec tout le confort nécessaire. Sans frigo dans la chambre, n’hésitez pas à demander à la cuisine de garder certaines choses au frais. La piscine qui se trouve dans un autre Riad juste à côté vaut le détour après une chaude journée dans le souk. Ali a été un hôte parfait. Si vous comptez vous déplacer au Maroc, demandez-lui d’organiser le transport pour vous, c’est impeccable et cela nous a énormément rassurés.

Ce riad est d'une beauté et a un charme fou à deux pas de la place Jemaa el fna. La cohue de la médina est inexistante dés l'entrée et une douce fraicheur se répand sous les orangers et les bougainvilliers en fleurs. La chambre que nous avions est gigantesque et somptueuse. L'équipe est très avenante et aux petits soins. Nous regrettons juste de ne pas être resté plus longtemps. Je recommande trés fortement ce riad.

The location is great for exploring the Medina. Riad El Borj is very beautiful and comfortable. It’s just the best service of any Riad in the area. Daniel is caring and best of all he looks after his guests. Assured we were aware of things and what to avoid. Felt like he was family. His staff is amazing and place was so clean. It’s in the heart of the old city but tucked down an unassuming corridor so it’s a bit away from the mass hustle. I’ve stayed at a lot of Riads and this is far and away the most comfortable. The staff are far and away the best and it feels a little bit like 5 star service compared to the others. The alternate building even has a little pool.

Had a wonderful stay at this Riad for 1 night, as we were to fly out the next morning. It's located in a central location of Marrakech and about 20 minutes from the airport. Although it was a little hard to find at first, since it's in the Medina, it was definitely worth it! I was so impressed by the hospitality of the host and the service we've received at this Riad! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The host went far and beyond to help us have a relaxing stay and to help us find a solution to a stressful situation. I only wish we would have stayed for more than a night, so that we could enjoy it more. Definitely recommend!

This is a beautifull property at walking distance to many sites. The morning breakfast was a feast for both eyes and savors. The owner and staff are kind and professional. Dieser Riad entsprach genau unseren Vorstellungen. Marrakech hautnah. Ein großes Plus war außerdem die hervorragende Betreuung und Erfüllung unserer Wünsche. Z.B. Buchung verschiedener Exkursionen bzw. Veranstaltungen. Tipps für unsere Einkäufe etc. Wenn einmal etwas nicht klappte ( z.B. Taxibestellung) wurde sofort eine zeitgleiche Lösung gefunden. Wir können nur sagen: Unsere Tage in Marrakech waren dank unserer Buchung im Riad Borj durch die Vermittlung von Expedia ein Erlebnis. Immer wieder. My partner and I stayed at the Riad El Borj for two weeks. The facilities were beautiful and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Daniel and Aziz went above and beyond to help us navigate a very confusing city and make us feel comfortable. By the end of our stay we felt like old friends.

beautiful riad in the center of Old Marrakech and near Jamaa el Fna (center of restaurants, stalls, etc). we arranged through the riad a car pickup from the airport and then a man with a cart to take our luggage when cars were no longer allowed in the square. We were warmly greeted by Daniel who was so helpful throughout our planning process. Shared tea and stories with him, and got his recommendations for dinner. Both him and Aziz called and made reservations for us. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful with it's tiled courtyard, unique door frames, rooftop views. The room was so elegantly decorated and welcoming. Close distance to so many great things- you can spend all morning hitting sights north of this riad and then the afternoon seeing the sights south of here. Very close to amazing restaurants (We tried Le Marrakchi and Pepenero, both recommended by the riad). Breakfast on the rooftop was good- pastries, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, OJ.

Ryad El Borj is in a convenient and peaceful location. The ryad arranged airport pickup service for us, which saved us a lot of time (we also used the same driver back to the airport on the last day). On arrival, we had a warm welcome by the owner of the ryad, Daniel, with great mint tea and cookies, and also a city map and all useful information on visiting in and around Marrakech. Daniel also kindly helped us buy coach tickets. We stayed in an extraordinary suite with beautiful decorations and perfect facilities. It looks like a royal palace or somewhere which was in the One Thousand and One Dreams. Everything in the room is carefully prepared - the fresh rose, the beddings, and even the trash bin. Although it's in a traditional moroccan style, it does't compromise the modern comfortableness, e.g. superb shower water, strong wifi signal, etc. We stayed for 4 nights and when we were in our trip to the coast and the desert, the ryad provided an outstanding luggage service - we just left the luggage in the room for the staff to collect and when we came back, the luggage had already been moved back in the room. All the staff in the ryad are professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and we had a dinner there, which was the best dinner we had in Morocco.

Wir waren drei Tage im Riad El Borj und haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet mit marokkanischen Möbeln und Dekor, das ganze ist eine Augenweide - alles sehr geschmackvoll zusammengestellt und nicht kitschig. Das Hotel ist mitten in der Medina, trotzdem hat man seine Ruhe, um sich vom Trubel in den Souks zu erholen. Der Service war freundlich und zurückhaltend - sehr angenehm.

The Riad El Borj is a lovely Riad in the heart of the Medina. The location couldn't be better. It is close to everything, but is quiet and you feel isolated once you enter the Riad. Daniel is a terrific host, who gave us good ideas and helped out on whatever we needed. You couldn't do better by selecting this beautiful Riad. All in all, we had a fantastic stay here.

Das Riad El Borj hat uns sehr schön empfangen und uns mit tiefster Entspannung und intimer Atmosphäre überrascht. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und äußerst sauber. Das Team war immer sehr hilfsbereit, höflich und zuvorkommend und gleichzeitig diskret und unaufdringlich. Genau wie man es sich eben wünscht. Für uns das perfekte Riad und Ruhepool. Gerne wieder!

This is a beautiful, very well managed Riad (hotel). Every corner of the building and every room have been lovingly restored and decorated. The host is great and his staff are friendly and efficient. We wish we had more time to enjoy the place and interact more with the owner. Its amazing that such a centrally located place can be so quiet. The only complaint was that in our room the bed was sagging.

Nicht direkt mit dem Taxi zugänglich, dafür mitten im Treiben gelegen. Herrliche Dachterrasse, sehr gutes Frühstück und exzellenter Service. Persönlicher Empfang durch den "Patron" und individuell zugeschnittene Vorschläge und Insidertips, wie man die Zeit in Marrakesh gut verbringen kann. Es gibt quasi auf alles eine Antwort. Zum gegebenen Zeitpunkt war das Wifi Signal eingeschränkt und im Zimmer nicht verfügbar, die Reparatur allerdings angestoßen. Das Ryad ist wunderschön und detailreich eingerichtet. Die Orangenbäume im Attrium haben einen bleibenden, kühlenden Eindruck hinterlassen.
