Breakfast was lovely. The Riad is about 5 min walk from the taxi drop off. Could be a challenge to find it but Adam met us to show the way. In fact nothing was too much trouble for Adam who gave us great advice to make the most of our stay. Lots of space outside the room and a relaxing rooftop area.

It was very quiet and peaceful, removed from the busyness of the Medina. Itâs a short 4mins walk to taxi pickup/dropoff. It was totally safe and we didnât have any issues to and from the Riad. The fresh daily orange juices were a great bonus too. Adam was very helpful and polite. He was the best host.
Cons: Nothing.

This is the most beautiful place, and the host Adam and Housekeeper Menen were just wonderful. The breakfast is superb, her lemon cake is delicious, and the Riad is an oasis of calm with a wonderfully cold swimming pool which they will put jets on for you at any time. The roof terrace is gorgeous and the resident tortoise Miss Liz lives up there. We will be back for sure.

This guesthouse is an absolute dream come true. The food was incredible - breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner one night, which turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip! Manale is truly a talented chef, and she was so nice and caring ! Adam, the manager, was the perfect host. We now fully understand the meaning of Moroccan hospitality after staying at the RPR. He helped us book hammam reservations, provided great restaurant recommendations, and made sure our stay in Marrakech went seamlessly from start to finish. The riad itself is stunning - probably the most beautiful one Iâve ever seen. The decor feels like something out of a movie, every corner is inspiring. We also loved the location: very central and easy to explore the city on foot. Adam arranged our airport transfer as well, which I highly recommend since cars canât drive directly up to the riad. We canât wait to come back - it was truly one of the highlights of our trip!

It was a really special experience staying at Riad Porte Royale. It was on the higher side for my budget but very much worth the money, I had a wonderful 3 night stay and I'm glad I splashed out. The riad is beautifully restored and very tastefully decorated, the room felt very luxurious. The staff are kind and helpful. I had lots of delicious breakfasts during my visit to Morocco but the breakfast at Riad Porte Royale was probably the best - lots of delicious things and something different every day! It was also very helpful to have filtered water available at all times rather than having to buy plastic water bottles. And there is fresh orange juice available as well. The location is great - in a quieter area of the medina and you can be dropped off/picked up by car quite nearby. Thanks to the team for a lovely stay.

Breakfast was fantastic! Make sure you plan a little time for it, around 30 mins. Adam was fantastic and super helpful, I think our trip would have been very different without his help and guidance. Location was pretty good!
Cons: I don't think its a big issue, but we booked this specific riad among many reasons, because it was listed as having a bar. The 'bar' was some local wine and beer in the fridge which we could grab when we liked and pay for at the end of our stay.

Amazing stay at Riad Porte Royale, from booking to the end Adam and Maria were on hand to answer my questions. The Riad itself is lovely and peaceful, Adam and Manale are there at all times to take care of you. The location of the Riad is more in a local area which was perfect for us and around 10min walk to starting to the souk area. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return

Beautiful riad. Incredible breakfast. Super friendly host with loads of good tips. Did I mention the amazing breakfast? Very photogenic building with roof terrace and pool in the courtyard (with very cold water!). By the way, it's worth staying here just for the breakfast!
Cons: Some people might not like the approach to the riad which goes through a short dark tunnel!

This riad was the reason why our stay in marrakech was so great! The riad itself is beautiful and you can see that the design has been chosen with care and not only looks beautiful but is also very practical. What really completed our stay was the way we were looked after. Adam, the host and manager of the riad is incredibly hospitable and we were not short of anything because of this. If we were to go to Marrakech again we will without a doubt book our stay here again!
Cons: The riad is on the border of the medina, which is not central and means that most attractions and shopping/eating facilities are a 15-25 minute walk away. But for us this was no problem at all because this also means that this allows you to return in peace and without causing a nuisance from the hustle and bustle of the city. For us this is a top location but something to take into account when you do not prefer walking long distances.

Riad was stunning , and in a great location , just a 20-30 min walk from the centre , close to the new town but within the old city, host Adam and his assistant where absolutely amazing there was no ask too big or too small , and he gave us a warm welcome, we arrived about 11pm and he was there to meet us at our taxi , walk us to the Riad and provide us with tea and olives on arrival while he gave us tip and recommendations, breakfast every morning was yummy and multiple options, cleaning staff where lovely , room was cleaned each day , with fresh towels and the staff hand sqeeze fresh orange juice each day for guests to help them selves to , I couldnât fault it , we would come back again just for Adam and the staff. Our first time in marakesh and wonât be our last, Adam also went out his way to arrange restaurants , collect us toothpaste and book our airport transfer.
Cons: Nothing , mattress was quite firm but wasnât a problem for us

This is a fabulous place - an old Riad brought back to life by an architect-novelist. The taste and care in design and decoration are evident in every little nook and alcove. The place is run by a wonderfully polite and competent manager, and two housekeepers who make a delicious breakfast every morning. A truly unique stay and experience in Marrakech - thank you!

I really wanted to sit down and write a proper review as I think this place deserves it. Iâd stay here again anytime, but especially if its your first time in Marrakech, stay here. Adam was so attentive and helpful all throughout, I cannot overstate how valuable this was to make the most of our time in the city, and he made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times visiting as two female travellers on our own, arranging reputable airport taxis for example. (Also to be clear as I know other places do this; we were never asked to mention him/leave a review, doing this 100% from my own initiative as they really deserve the praise). In general, the location was great - easily walkable, but out of the most hectic part of town. The building was safe and room had all we needed. Breakfast was great, and when we chose to stay in for lunch/dinner they were great value for money. Other staff was helpful and friendly too, its a very peaceful and calm here. Rooftop is a great bonus!

Wonderful and friendly staff. Adam was helpful with every detail of our visit. He goes above and beyond to make sure each guest is well taken care of. Delicious breakfasts every day. Comfortable beds, hot showers and lovely renovated Riad. It is a little off the beaten path, but we could be just about anywhere we wanted in 30-40 min by foot. The Riad is in a residential neighborhood that gets very quiet at night. Restaurants 8â10 min by foot. I would stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality.
Cons: As I said, it is a bit of a walk, so those with mobility issues ( bad hips or knees ) might not be happy with location due to the time to get into âtouristâ areas.

To highlight is the host: Adam gave us good tips for the city and was very helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. Breakfast was also good, especially the fresh orange juice. Good showers with hot water and good water pressure.
Cons: In the winter (we were there in February) it was quite chilly in the commun areas. However, Adam was always willing to make a fire in the fire place. Besides, in the rooms you have a heater.

The manager at the property, Adam is the best. He took the time to sit down and draw a map of all the highlights, restaurant recommendations, and tips. The property is very nicely managed, clean and the staff are super nice, helpful and friendly. The next time I visit Marrakesh, Iâll definitely stay here again.
Cons: The hot water in the showers take a long time to come, which can be a bit wasteful especially in colder times. And the placement of the shower head is such that I had to really stand in the corner to shower. Very minor detail - not at all a downside per se

The staff is exceptional! They are so kind and helpful. Adam, the manager, realized that I was having challenges getting around as a solo traveler so he took the time to provide information, coordinate taxi rides for me because my phone service wasnât working, and gave me great tips on what to do and where to go. The room was cozy with a private bath. The riad is quiet. The hospitality staff were wonderful. They only speak Arabic and French so have your translation app handy, if youâre also a native English speaker. Breakfast is a whole experienceâlots of fruit, yogurts, jams, breads and an omelette. My favorite part was the fresh squeezed orange juice every morning. I would definitely return.
Cons: Location of actual riad is tricky to find within the neighborhood. Youâll have to do it a few times before you donât get turned around. The HERE WE GO app (like Google maps) was very useful when navigating the twists and turns.

The Riad overall is awesome. The decoration, the cleanliness, and location. However, I would like to emphasize their amazing staff. From the moment we arrived, Najib was so helpful. For breakfast, we had the best morrocan experience and best morrocan breakfast by their two lovely staff Rachida and Amal. We never wanted to have breakfast outside anymore as the food in the Riad is sooo good. We stayed in the Riad for 6 days and Rachida and Amal made sure our room is always clean and comfortable. Helped us with Ironing and laundry service. The Riad is worth every penny. Amazing ambiance and amazing staff combined. Excellent staff, friendly people, charming facilities
Cons: The room itself was small, noisy, and got cold in the evenings. Our room was on the ground floor and there is a large gap between the bedroom door and outside courtyard that lets both noise and cold air into the room. We were also next to the kitchen, so the noise from the kitchen both in the morning and throughout the night if guests use the kitchen sounds as if itâs directly in the bedroom.

Probably one of the most beautiful places Iâve stayed - the courtyard is incredible & with the terrace and the indoor balcony, it really couldnât get any better. The riad itself is a bit hidden away, but after walking there once, itâs easy enough to remember how to get to & from. The area is super quiet, as apposed to some of the other areas in the old town, so is really nice to relax. The breakfast every morning was incredible (I still canât get over it) & they were able to cater for my vegan diet, still providing plenty of options. Our host, Adam, was second to none, super friendly and helpful with advising us on places to visit & he was always more than happy to help with anything we needed. I couldnât recommend more

Riad Porte Royale is a true gem for anyone spending time in Marrakech. The riad is in a quiet but ideal location. The staff, Adam, Rashida, and Amal, are exceptional. The food was delicious. The room was excellent. The courtyard was a tranquil contrast to the bustling souks and busy streets of Marrakech. Did I mention how amazing Adam is? He elevated our experience of Marrakech with his in depth overview of the Medina and excellent recommendations. Adam rocks!

We loved every single thing about this Riad. To start, Adam and the other workers were INCREDIBLE. Without them, and all of the fantastic recommendations they gave (especially Adam), this trip would have been very different! In addition, the breakfast was phenomenal every morning - I already miss it! The other added luxury that I was not expecting was how private the Riad actually felt. After being out in Marrakech all day, it was so nice to have this little oasis all to ourselves. The pool was very nice as well!
Cons: There was nothing that we did not appreciate - except the fact that we had to leave! Everything was clean, the place was impeccable, and we truly had such a great time. I could not recommend this Riad more if you are traveling to Marrakech!

Hands down the best hospitality we have ever experienced, anywhere in the world. The facilities are lovely, but what makes this place truly stand out is the excellent customer service they offer. Adam and his team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs - from preparing a delicious dinner upon our late-night arrival, to arranging breakfast each day at a time and place that suited us, walking us to and from the Medina gate on our first and last day and also sitting down with us to take us through the map of Marrakech, so we knew which places to visit, and which ones to avoid. Fresh water, orange juice and a delicious moroccan mint tea were always available in the kitchen, and there were plenty of places to rest and relax within the Riad. We loved our stay and we felt taken care of like never before!

Very nice Riad that is about a 10 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of the medina. Thoughtfully restored with plenty of character. Room was very clean although a little tight for a double bed but that was not a problem for us. Situated through a maze of alleys, for the first timers in Marracech this can be a little daunting. Although, we had a brilliant experience thanks to the Riad manager Adam. He is the main reason I would return. Adam sat with us and provided all the guidance and information necessary for our stay to be so enjoyable, memorable and leave us fascinated with Marracech. I highly recommend Riad Porte Royal as it offers a beautiful Riad with wonderful staff, cozy courtyard and terrace. Most of all the treasure of this Riad is Adam who will ensure your stay is the best it can be. We will return.

Lovely stay at the Riad Porte Royal - Adam and the rest of the staff were very attentive and helpful. A full spread was served for breakfast up on the terrace or in the courtyard. The location is great because it's only a 15 minute walk into town but it's nice and quiet and removed from the more noisy town centre. The place is very clean and serene. Felt very relaxed and comfortable while there and we had a great time
Cons: The room was slightly smaller and not very sound proof, but this did not impact as us as the riad is usually so quiet and we spent most of our time on the terrace or in the courtyard or out in the city. Not really a negative as still would recommend 10/10

We cannot say enough about the staff. They are very kind and caring and goloit of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Adam in particular spent 2,5 hours of his own time helping us manage la small medical situation which was totally unexpected and so appreciated . The rooms are beautifully decorated. The Riad is in a location away from the tourist hordes offering you an authentic glimpse of what life is like in a Medina⊠yet still close to great restaurants and walking distance to the major sites.

Itâs a beautiful, clean place in the calmer part of the Medina. The location is good - walking distance to the main square and to the new town. Close to taxis. What makes it exceptional is the amazing care and support of the manager Adam - who is full of great insights of places to go and see, gives great tips and insider know how and helps with the bookings. I strongly advice to follow all of his restaurants recommendation for the old and new town - we loved the quality and diversity of it.

The riad itself is gorgeous and it felt traditional. The decor is simple, exactly how I like it. Adam, the manager, is absolutely wonderful. He really cares about his guests and aims to make sure everything goes perfectly for them. My husband and I stayed for four nights and it felt like we were at home. The food was always delicious.
Cons: The shower would get either extremely hot or cold, randomly, at times.

A wonderful piace, nicely decorated, organized and clean, a kind of small oasis, breakfast excellent and plentiful, rooms minimal but really beautiful, Adam the manager one of the kindest and most helpful people I have ever known, we would go back tomorrow.
Cons: Nothing, maybe just a little far from the main square, but this is reached by a nice half-hour walk through the alleys of the Medina, so it never feels like a chore.

The support, availability, guidance, and suggestions from Adam (the property manager) were unmatched. I also had a few back and forth correspondence with the property before arrival since my partner and I were arriving separately, requiring some coordination. They were super responsive and very supportive with this planning. Adam answered any questions we had, gave us amazing suggestions and insights, and reassured us he was available if we ever needed him - this felt so nice knowing he was just a message away in case we needed help navigating the crazy medina or making reservations. We also liked having access to the kitchen area where we could keep things in the fridge if needed, get filtered water, etc. The two women who made the meals were also exceptional. The breakfasts were SO GOOD, always with fresh yogurt, fruit, and on our last day, delicious tagine! They made us feel so special and cared for. We stayed in a different riad after this, and said many times how we missed the team at Porte Royale. Their care and attention were truly unmatched.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing that could have been better. They are a large part of how we fell in love with Morocco, its warm, hospitable people, and humble gorgeousness that is truly unique.

what people or sites donât tell you is that there are two city centres: 1) The old city and 2)the new city. This old city is walled and contains lots of old alleyways. The Riad is located within 15 min walking distance from the beginning of the souk. Our room was on the smaller side but still got the job done. The host is nicest guy you will ever meet, very helpful and always reachable. He explained the map perfectly and even gave us tips on how to navigate the hustlers and negotiate prices when shopping in the median. Their delicious breakfast is cooked daily by the Riads Chef, another really nice staff member that takes joy in what she does.

The Riad is absolutely beautiful, the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of area lounge and relax. Access to kitchen with tea, orange juice, filtered water was also great bonus. The manager, Adam, is super friendly and helpful and spent lot of time helping us get orientated with local area, and gave us great tips. He even offered to help us top up mobile data and print our boarding passes. Would definitely recommend others to stay here!
Cons: There is 3% charge for card payments, I wish we knew this at time of booking so we could have prepared for cash payment. Although the breakfast is delicious sometimes the timing is not very punctual, especially when we requested early morning breakfasts as we have to leave for certain tours. Perhaps communication could be clearer if breakfast is only available after certain time in the morning.

Once you step inside, it is beautiful. Our rooms were very clean. Adam is a gracious host and always stayed in communication with us.
Cons: My room was very cold. They gave me a portable heater but it wasn't enough because the doors are not sealed off so there is a gap in the doors where small animals can slip through. The front of the place looks like a fort and is very scary at night because it looks abandoned and it's very dirty outside. Once you take that 5 minute walk through the tunnel you arrive to the beautiful Riad.

My daughter and I had an amazing time In Marrakech. The Riad, and the manager, Adam were both so much more than we expected. Adam helped us figure out the maze of a city, spent time coordinating activities like dinner in the desert and greeted us each morning with a cheerful smile and a huge delicious breakfast . We had a lovely stay here for 5 days. The riad is beautifully decorated and rooms were exceptionally clean. Adam was incredibly helpful and knowledgable about everything and we really felt like we were in good hands. The riad itself is a bit of a walk from the main square which we personally liked but may not be for everyone, especially if you have children. My only issue was that there was no one from the riad on-site overnight and we were the only guests, so I was a little nervous at first. Think it would have been good to be told ahead of time as we weren't aware.

My wife & I stayed at the Riad in April 2022. This beautifully appointed small hotel is absolutely amazing! Situated within the Medina itself I would describe it as one of the best boutique accommodations I have stayed anywhere in the World. The rooms are beautifully furnished & the place itself is an Oasis from the hustle & bustle of the Medina & Souks of the city. Adam & the house keeping team could not be more helpful. Adam arranges for guests Airport transfers, restaurant bookings & excursions. He even greets & escorts guests on arrival at the gates of the Medina to the Riad! Nothing is too much trouble for the team. Adam advises on how to get the most of your stay in the city & the local customs. The sumptuous Moroccan breakfasts are absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Thanks Adam for a fantastic stay & we hope to visit again soon.

This property has a very strict rule about breakfast and that is: YOU CAN HAVE IT ANYTIME :) . I find that very refreshing considering most of the times I miss free breakfast when I travel because I am not an early riser. Riad Porte Royal was my home away from home. We loved our stay at the Riad. First of all, we were upgraded to a better room for free when another booking fell through. Then, Adam, the manager, made our stay comfortable and enjoyable by meeting us outside the walls to take us to the Riad, walking us out when we left, and also taking time to show us everything we needed to know about the Medina on the map. One night, he was even available to walk us to a restaurant. As two female travelers we were a bit anxious about our trip, but Adam was able to give us good saefty tips as well as put our minds at ease. The breakfast we were served every morning was delicious and plenty! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was charming and clean accommodation with attentive and helpful staff and a very substantial breakfast. The roof terrace was particularly lovely for chilling out. Adam the manager went completely out of his way to make our stay comfortable, including meeting our taxi on arrival outside the city walls, giving us many useful tourist tips and even arranging for someone to guide us along winding alleys to and from a local restaurant. One point to note is that this Riad is to the north of the city and so, unless you are very resourceful negotiating the alleys, you will need to take taxis to the city centre sites (except the YSL museum and Majorelle gardens which are walkabke). Overall highly recommended.

From the first emails we received from Philip and throughout our stay we were made to feel at ease at Riad Porte Royal. On our arrival were completely rescued by Adam. He was our minder the whole time we were in Marrakech. Firstly he collected us from our first Riad, walked us back to the Porte Royal and made us feel immediately at home with his practised tea pouring and delicate manner. Then we experienced the very leisurely 'we make breakfast when you want it' attitude which was just divine and presented with such care from him and the rest of the staff. Nothing was too much of an ask.. We slept super well in the bed, admired the artwork and really didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Thank you to all of you for making us feel so welcome. We will be back someday. Carla & Fred

We loved Riad Porte Royal! Philip, the owner, had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and this worked perfectly. The taxi dropped us off at the gate to the Medina and Adam, the Manager of the Riad, was waiting for us. Let me tell you, if you have never been to Marrakech, the initial hustle and bustle is pretty full on but when we met Adam, I knew we were in good hands. This man exudes calm and professionalism in everything he does. You are immediately put at ease. The walk to the Riad is through alleyways that must be thousands of years old. Quite something. You feel a little nervous to be honest but there is no need to be as we quickly learned over the next few days. Suddenly you come to the door to the Riad, which is basically a door in the alleyway wall! Then you go in and like a switch, the busyness outside is gone and you enter a tranquil bit of paradise. The Riad is basically a building around a central courtyard. The courtyard has a couple of places where you can sit (you have breakfast in one of them) and there is a tree with fruit. There are birds that come and go. We later learned that the centre of a Riad is a foretaste of heaven. In heaven, you have food (the fruit), water (the pool) and animals (the birds). It is spot on. Our room was not huge but perfect for a couple. The shower was hot and the pressure good. Adam was excellent throughout. He walked us to our first restaurant and was always giving us tips and helping us navigate the Medina. On two mornings we had to get up really early and told him we did not expect breakfast at that ungodly hour but he would have none of it and took it upon himself to get there in time and make the breakfast himself. Hats off. The breakfasts were generous, delicious and showed great variety. There is also a roof terrace that looked great but we did not get a chance to use it as we were out and about too much. Leaving was easy as although we had an early flight, Adam was on hand and walked us to the gate and made sure we were safely onboard the taxi. Seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend this Riad. The owner, Philip, was always available on email and is very responsive. He even arranged for a city tour for us which we loved at a very reasonable price.

The location of the Riad Porte Royale in the northern part of the Medina in Marrakech, offers easy access and is a haven of peace and quiet, just a twenty minute walk from the more intricate part of the city where your navigation skills are put to test! Adam, the Manager had arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and met us in person at the gate close to the riad. His calm, helpful and kind demeanour made our stay exceptional from beginning to end during the five days we stayed in Marrakech. His young assistant was equally efficient. The Riad itself exudes calm and is a welcome retreat from the bustling and busy Medina. The owners have renovated the building (or rather rebuilt the building after reading the explanatory album) with impeccable taste. The many objects tcollected by the owners and used as features throughout the Riad add o the uniqueness of this place. In addition, impeccably kept!

We loved our stay at the understated and quiet Porte Royal. The manager, Adam, made our experience wonderful and was constantly available for advice, recommendations, or interesting conversation. The staff arranged a shuttle for us from the airport and Adam met us at the gate. We were grateful that we had requested this because it would have been tricky to find straight off in the dark. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooftop terrace is really lovely. Our room had everything we needed and the cool quiet ensured we got the best sleep of our entire trip. Adam recommended a place for dinner our first night and even walked us to the restaurant. The only thing we wished was for a little additional signage on the streets to point in the direction of the riad. After a few days, we knew our way around much better but the first few days involved a fair bit of getting turned around all over the city. The riad is in a quiet part in the north of the city so it seemed that roads were less labeled. Thanks, Adam!

Riad Porte Royale was a true oasis of peace and calm during our stay in Marrakesh. We loved everything about it, the owner did a great job when restoring and upgrading the riad to its former glory. From our arrival to our departure we felt welcome and well taken care off. Adam, the manager, was very helpful and service-minded, always ready to give us some good advice about customs of Morocco. We also knew that whenever weâd get lost in the maze of Marrakesh heâd come to find us. ;-) Fortunately it wasnât needed. That riad made our trip and weâll gladly return.

Found RPR through a referral in a travel blog. Getting there was a bit tricky being escorted through the twisty little alleyways. But once we entered it took our breathe away! Wow, what a wonderfully romantic courtyard with its little lounge rooms and beautifully sculptured architectural details! I sat down to play the guitar in one of those lounges while they served us mint tea and carefully walked us through the checkin and orientation to the riad and the medina. And we can't say enough about Lahcen and Adam -- what incredible hospitality! Willing to wake up at wee hours of the morning to make us breakfast so we can get on an early daytrip, escorting us to a location far away so we didn't get lost in the medina maze, lugging our huge suitcases up and down those narrow staircase and through the medina cobblestone alleys, and on and on. They were simply amazing hosts and we miss them! They gave us the "little house" room which has its own dedicated stairway and detached bathroom. We believe this is the biggest room in the riad, it was so beautiful and romantic! We tried breakfast in the courtyard, in the 2nd floor lounge, and on the rooftop -- all great and just depended on how cold it was each morning. Wish we could've stayed longer but alas all good things must come to an end. The memories of our stay at this riad however, will last forever!

We were dreaming of this vacation for a long time, weâd seen photos, read reviews, and our expectations were high, and they were not only met but surpassed. Service was impeccable, with a smile from everyone at any moment. They were not only kind but also helped and were sincerely interested on our Marrakech experience throughout our 7 day stay. Breakfast was incredible, quantity, variety and very local breads and yogurt made us kickstart our day every morning. Room was clean and comfortable, good amenities and great WiFi. There wasnât a key to our bedroom but we didnât feel unprotected in any way, it was like being in a family house and the relaxation we got was one of the best points in our stay. Itâs not located in the big huss of the souks but it is inside the Medina on a very peaceful neighborhood, and we walked to and from the main places of interest at all hours, and even at midnight we felt totally safe. A special mention to Lahcen who gave us the best advices, and was always up and about to take care of us or other guests.

We stayed at Riad Porte Royale for 5 days this November and absolutely fell in love. The Riad is beautiful; the set up is both peaceful and charming which is needed after a hectic day exploring the Médina. The staff was beyond amazing. Phillip was always accessible and accommodating when booking, and the great service continued throughout our stay . Lachen the hotel manager was extremely knowledgeable and informative providing us with tips on where to eat and visit. When we had a tour booked , Lachen walked with us to our meeting point just to make sure we did not get lost. Moreover, Breakfast was the best ...served every morning with delicious mint tea. We highly recommend ordering dinner at least once - their Tangia may be one of the best in town (at least based on the few we tasted while in Marrakech) . We had a such great time and were beyond impressed with Riad Porte Royale . Thank you for making our time in Marrakech such an incredible experience. We will make sure to recommend your Riad to friends and family!

We just got back from our trip to Marrakesh having stayed 5 nights at Riad Porte Royale (having spent 2 nights at a lovely - same budget riad). Itâs really weird how other users rated the riad with so great reviews as our stay was very disappointing. Although breakfast is delicious and design is nice there are many points for improvement. The service is very slow however Lanchen tries but itâs not enough. Towels are worn down, amenities are half empty- used from previous guests and whenever we had wine or nibbles next to the fireplace, next day noone had cleaned the area. There is only one hair dryer for the 5 rooms and itâs travel size. Having asked for it 3 times with no luck the manager bought a new one. After the first night we left our key for housekeeping and upon our return we were informed that the key was on the door!!! Location is not great. Although in the medina is 25 min walk from souks and central square and the area is a bit dodgy. Tip of the iceberg? I found a rat in the kitchen as I went to get some water (we were told that we can always access it). Luckily the cleaning lady killed it who also happens to be the cook!!! Working in the hotel industry for over 4 years and these incidents are unacceptable even for hostels.

This riad is very peaceful and beautiful. It has a simple decor and is more in the residential part of the medina, so its a bit quieter around there than being in the middle of everything. The taxis are very close though and its only about a 15min walk to get to the souks. The best thing about the riad is the service though. Lahcen was very nice and hospitable and so was the rest of the staff. When we were leaving for the airport, Lahcen walked us to the taxis and made sure we found one and that they charged us the correct price for the trip. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Marrakech.

Myself and my friend visited Riad Porte Royale for 3 nights at the end of June and we were blown away by both the beauty of the Riad and the service we received. On arrival Lachan greeted us and gave us some information about the Riad and also Marrakech. As two female travellers the information he gave us made us feel a lot more confident exploring the streets of Marrakech and it also saved us getting very lost (he showed us an app we could use on our phone in Marrakech). Our room was very beautiful and looked out onto the gorgeous courtyard which was always kept very clean. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and it was clear that both Lachan and the lady (sorry I forgot her nameâčïž) put a lot of effort into ensuring that we had a wonderful time. One day I was ill and Lachan kindly helped us change the date of our tour and also went out to get me some tissues. As a travel agent I will thoroughly recommend this Riad and I hope that I can get some of my customers sent your way!

The entire place is clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that the place is small with only a few quests at a time. Access to the courtyard pool, rooftop, and seating areas made us feel right at home and very relaxed. Daily breakfast was wonderful. Great comfort and value!

Bra riad i lugn omrÄde i Medinan. Rekommenderas!

Service i vÀrldsklass!
