The riad is fresh and clean with comfortable, well-appointed rooms. We stayed twice, once in the older section that has not been renovated and secondly in the newer section in a recently-renovated room. Both were excellent. The older room was beautiful and had everything we needed including air conditioning, a shower, comfortable bed, etc. The renovated room had all the same features but the windows were newer so they offered slightly better sound dampening. Both sections open into central light wells and the older section include delightful sitting areas, with soft chairs, tables and plates of delicious oranges. Breakfast was fresh and delicious (moroccan-style) on the roof terrace each morning, and is not to be missed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. One more thing, and this is essential information. Riad Hotel Marraplace is within the medina, only a few steps from Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech's central square. This makes it easy to get a short cooling break in the day or before dinner while being far enough away to be calmingly quiet. Highly recommended.

If you don’t like long reviews, then “stay here!” is all you need to know. If you prefer more depth in your reviews, read on. Located a couple of hundred meters from the famous Jemaa el Fna square in Marrakech (apologies for the spelling, my internet is acting up), Riad Marraplace is easy to find but just far enough away that you don’t hear any of the chaos going on nearby. It is an incredibly beautiful building with rooms that, while small, will make you feel like a sultan due to their opulence. The staff spoke perfect English and was as friendly and helpful as anyone could possibly ask. Breakfast on the roof was traditional and tasty as well as relaxing. You can’t see the square from the roof but it’s still a nice view. The only minor negative is the stairs. They twist around corners in a way that can make them treacherous if you’re not careful especially if you’re lugging a suitcase up or down them. But I would absolutely stay there anytime I would be in Marrakech. You’re close to dining, shopping, the main mosque, every tour imaginable leaves from the square, and you get to pretend that you’re a lot wealthier than you probably actually are. I loved it.

Pros: The location is less than a 1 minute walk from the large Jemaa el-Fnaa market so it is in a vibrant area although at night the hotel is quiet with no outside sound. The staff is absolutely wonderful and go out of their way to accomodate you (they gave us a breakfast to go, walked us to meet a taxi, etc). The hotel is beautiful. Cons: No elevator and past 11am taxis cannot drop you off in Jemaa el-Fnaa so you have to navigate a few small alleyways to meet tours or cabs (only about a 5 minute walk) at a different area. Overall, would recommend if you are able to climb stairs and walk. Otherwise, it may be a little difficult. Highly recommend for people with no mobility issues! Did I say the staff is AMAZING? :)

Lovely riad right in a fun part of the Medina. Bustling market just a 1-2 minute walk. Very hospitable, and they had ground floor rooms available. Definitely recommend for a traditional stay in Marrakesh.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a place where you can have a comfortable stay in between tours.

Overall my stay at the Riad Marraplace was nice. The service was prompt, I emoted the complementary breakfast and it was clean and quiet. It’s located in an accessible and vivacious area of Marrakech. We landed and paid for a 15 euro transport to the hotel, crossing streets through the bustling area for a prompt arrival at our hotel. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with Moroccan hospitality, we signed some papers and headed over to our room on the first floor. The hotel was colorful, unique and electric. Soon after, we were served complimentary Moroccan tea; I myself am partial to Moroccan tea, it’s like none other I’ve had. Having to assemble the beverage was apart of the experience it arrived with sugar cubes, hot water and two cups. Now in terms of the room, it was excellent, the beds were made, bathroom was clean, and it was spacious enough to move. The shower was nice and the water was warm. Although me and my party of 2 stayed for one night, I feel as if I could’ve resided there for a week. It was great. The next day, we woke up for a breakfast in the terrace, it came with water, two pastries, some jam, delicious plain yogurt, and a white omelette egg, with orange juice and coffee. Soon after we checked out but asked the hotel to hold our bags while we went and explored the city. Furthermore, our stay at the Riad Marraplace was accessible, the service was accommodating and the staff were pleasant, Would 100% go back. Thankyou again!

Highly recommended. Great communication before and during my stay, all of the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, the riad is clean and beautiful, the location can’t be beat—maybe 50 steps from Jemaa El-Fnaa square, but a quiet and calm oasis where you can escape the frenetic energy of the square. The breakfast was also very good, and is served on a lovely roof deck. If I had to find a negative, I would say that the rooms are compact—but it’s a riad, so you should go in expecting that. The bed and bathroom were plenty large, and there was also ample storage space, so it wasn’t really an issue. I spent over 2 weeks going from place to place every day in Morocco, and Riad Marraplace was by far my favorite lodging.

The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They welcomed us with a cup of tea on the beautiful terrace and received us much earlier than expected, without making us wait or charging any extra fees. The riad is just a few steps from Jemaa el-Fna, and even though it’s so close, you can barely hear the noise from your room. It’s a great and convenient option to be in the heart of the Moroccan energy and still get a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was very good, and the room was beautiful — with modern features while still keeping that authentic Moroccan touch.

This riad is perfect for anyone wishing to stay close to the medina in Marrakech. The property is always locked to outsiders, which makes you feel very safe. The staff is very welcoming. Since we arrived earlier than our scheduled check-in time, we were taken up to the terrace and graciously served mint tea while we waited for them to finish preparations. This is a great Riad in the heart of the Medina. The staff was super friendly and arranged a pick up from the airport even though we arrived really late in the night. The Riad is in an alley in the Medina so for the first day I would recommend having a pick up arranged, however once you are familiarized the the Medina, it is very easy to find. We would definitely come back to Riad Marraplace in the future.

Staying at Riad Marraplace in Marrakesh was truly the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were transported to a magical world. The Riad is perfectly located, just a stone's throw away from the bustling Jamaa Al Fna square, yet once you step inside, it feels like a peaceful sanctuary away from the city's hustle and bustle. Every detail of the Riad was thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed, making it feel like a hidden gem. The room was spacious, stylish and impeccably clean, comfortable in every sense, with a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the best parts of our stay was the breakfast. Each morning felt like a feast, with a different spread served on the rooftop, where we could enjoy the fresh air and the view. The variety of sweet delicacies, breads, spreads, fruits, yogurt and coffee was impressive and it made each morning something to look forward to. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible service. The staff was always attentive, warm and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for. From offering recommendations to helping with every need, they made our stay even more special. We felt incredibly lucky to have discovered this place, and we can't wait to return. Riad Marratplace is a true treasure in Marrakesh, and we will be recommending it to all of our loved ones. It’s a place we’ll always cherish, and it made our trip unforgettable.

The Riad Marraplace is conveniently located within 2 mins of the busy central marketplace. The Riad is well-run with a clean rooms and has great customer service. Moreover, the entire Riad is well decorated. No elevators in the Riad as you can expect, so do expect using the stairs a lot. I especially like that their front door is opened only when the receptionist opens it for you (when you ring the door bell). As a female traveller, that added security gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend staying at the Riad Marraplace.

Very convenient location right near the main square. Downside was i could hear the snake charmers constantly from the hotel. The rooftop is great to sit in the sun and have tea. Easy to walk to most of the sights. The central location is handy but comes with the downsides. I woke up early before dawn and leaving the hotel for a walk felt unsafe. I saw an asian girl standing outside waiting for her taxi scared stiff. If your not alone I think its much better.

Great place, it is two Riad combined to make one nice beautiful authentic Riad. Nice break fast. Easy access to all sites and shopping. Restaurants all over the place. Friendly staff and clean property. Needs better towels. The quality is very low and not soft at all. Overall, we loved the place and will stay again a mad gain here.

This riad is absolutely fantastic. It's beautiful, full of stucco and intricate tile work. Our room was a fair size, there were extra blankets, and the hot shower was the best one we encountered in Morocco. Breakfast is a beautiful presentation on the rooftop terrace. The staff were extremely helpful with our very early arrival and arranging our airport transfer. The location is really convenient by the square and taxis can come to within 150meters of the entrance. The pictures are an accurate representation of the riad. You'll be so glad you stayed here.

This was my second time at this beautiful Riad and I’ll definitely come back again. It’s super central to the main square and yet tucked in a little. The interior is gorgeous, and the rooms perfect. The bathrooms are beautiful too! Our daily breakfasts at the rooftop were hard to beat and delicious, every day they were slightly different so they never got boring! The Riad is run by a wonderful team / family that helped us with any questions as was always there for us with a smile. Thank you for everything! I have nothing but good things to say!

What a good Moroccan experience if you like a Hotel with traditional furniture and décor. The staff is absolutely wonderful, Abbas and Mouad are excellent people. Always making sure you are been taken care of. Being in the heartof Jema-al-fena, its walking distance to shopping, dining, Koutobia mosque and Bahia Palace. Interestingly enough a lot of tours start from this place so ease of access for Marakesh day trips. Its a hustling bustling area with lots of performances and shows. Like any other city you need to be aware of your surroundings.

We spent a week in this lovely place. The rooms were a little small, however very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and Moroccan style. The reception offers a nice resting place. Highlights from our stay: very friendly and helpful reception; very nice riads (two); great Moroccan breakfast (included in room fare) served on the terrace and changing every morning; a one minute walk to Jemaa El Fna market; small grocery stand a half minute away. Do not get let down by the small street to access the hotel as it does not reflect the beauty and great value of the hotel. I very strongly recommend the Riad Marraplace.

The property is very clean and well managed. The staff are really friendly and continue to offer assistance when needed The details in the rooms such as High ceilings and unique lighting, doors. Also, the roof top patio. It’s also perfectly located near the main square but far enough to not be woken all night. I’ll be back most likely after some side trips

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this Hotel. We had 2 night and then another night later in the week and they kept our bags for us and had them waiting in our new room. They made us a packed breakfast as our trip had us up before Breakfast one day. Hotel is less than a minutes walk to the main square. Lovely place, will definitely be back.

This hotel is conveniently located near Place Jemaa, but set enough further back in a small alley so it doesn’t get the noise of that lively square either! Very convenient and walkable to all the attractions of Marrakech. Big shout out to the receptionist (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) who when I mentioned my shuttle transport to Agafay was picking me up at a location a bit further away, frowned and immediately called my driver to arrange a far closer and more convenient meet-up spot to the hotel and also helped me with my bags to meet the shuttle! He was very kind and I was super grateful to him for his help!

The location of the Riad is perfect. Only a few meters from.the main square so walking distance to all you want to see and do. Despite its central location, it is quiet. The Riad has been restored with amazing attention to detail of Moroccan craftsmanship. The Riad is clean. As it is a Riad, space restrictions apply with steep stair cases erc. The staff are very friendly and arranged pick up of bags from our transport (advise they send out a greeter to get you the first time as you will battle to find the Riad). I cannot find fault with this centrally located Riad as a vacation base to explore all Marrakesh offers.

The staff at Riad Marraplace are so kind, helpful and friendly. They will help you to navigate the city if you need it. The Riad itself is a stunning, traditional Riad that is beautifully clean and beautifully laid out. The breakfast is excellent too with a wide range of delicious Moroccan food that is served on the gorgeous rooftop terrace. From here, you can see the mountains and hear the sounds of Marrakech. It’s situated so close to all the souks and the main square and is so convenient for all the places you need to visit. I cannot recommend this riad highly enough. I would not want to stay anywhere else.

A beautiful riad style hotel in the heart of the Medina. Excellent location for all sightseeing in the old town, and a short walk into the new town. Be mindful there is no lift, spiral staircases throughout. The staff were incredible throughout, very professional, helpful and ready to advise where needed. Delicious breakfast each morning on the rooftop terrace. Would absolutely recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Marrakech.

Such a beautiful Riad in the center of the Medina and within short walking distance of many stalls, food and drinks options, and the Mosque. I stayed in the recently renovated part of the Riad, and the room and common areas were stunning! Definitely worth the price point. The staff were friendly and helpful in getting me a taxi at 2am for my 6am flight. Just a note that cars are not allowed to enter the Medina at certain hours for drop-off/pick-up, but the staff made it work.

After reserving this property, Riad Marraplace sent me a msg confirming the reservation and and outlined information. Very nice having the information before hand in preparation for this trip. Riad very secure as you can only enter by ringing on the bell. Very welcoming and helped us arrange for transfer from airport and tour to Sahara. Abdelkarim was patient and gave us great advice on restaurants, what to look out for, money exchange in the area and places to visit. They really treat you like a family member and place their trust in you. It was explained that there are 2 parts to the Riad. A older traditional side and the newer renovated side. We stayed in the older side and everything was clean and comfortable. All staff members were very nice, smiled and was humming or singing while they took care of the Riad. We had an early tour and they packed a breakfast to go for us. Would definitely come back and refer to anyone

The only comment I would make is that the staircases could use hand rails. The brass rings were not adequate for older people to grab onto and use. The rest of the stay was perfect and the location could not have been better, so close to the main square and the souks.
