Very close to the Medina. Parking lot close by. Really really beautiful riad, looks more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. Beautiful rooms.

Cons: Stayed 2 nights here. First night we were given a room on the ground floor. We left our luggage and went for a walk in Medina. When we came back and entered the room, only now we noticed the smell - really bad one, like sewage. Talked to the host, she said she'll make a call, asked us to give her half an hour. After that half an hour, we went into the room - their solution was to light scented candles in the bathroom and room. The bad smell was still there, only covered by perfume - it was worse. It was already late, we were tired - especially my husband, he was driving all day. He was looking for another riad, to move into that night, but being so late, we gave up. We asked the host if there is something else available, the answer was no. Next morning we were decided to leave. We spent there a horrible night, it was cold and smelly. When we told the host about our decision, she was nice and wanted to help, made some phone calls and offered us an apartment on the first floor. So the second night was fine. We checked older reviews and noticed that this was an old issue - the sewage smell - specifically in that apartment. Issue that wasn't solved, and the apartment was being rented still. This apartment shouldn't be rented until the problem is resolved. This is the reason we give 1 out of 10 for this riad.

Riad TOYOUR is a gem of a riad snuggled along an alley way very close to the old Medina of Fes. A beautifully restored traditional family home. We had a two bedroom suite with a shared bathroom on the top floor. It was very comfortable and peaceful. We breakfasted like Kings each morning and the evening meals were super too. We did venture out into the Medina for a few meals and were spoilt for choice. All in all a memorable stay and the hospitality of the staff at Riad Toyour was second to none.

Absolutely stunning Riad in a perfect location. The room is amazing - high carved ceilings. The garden was a calm place to sit away from the busy Medina. The host Issa was so lovely and looked after us really well. Breakfast was excellent

Cons: The bathroom was a little smelly and could have benefited from a better fan or a fly screen on the window so that we could leave it open all day

Riad Toyour is just outside the Medina. The courtyard is amazing. The birds were a unique aspect. They do get a little louder at dawn and dusk for a few minutes. The rooftop terrace has panoramic views with chairs and loungers. It was a peaceful retreat every afternoon for me. The room entrance was gorgeous with beautiful detailing. The room ceilings are very high. The bed was large and comfortable. The room had a couch and a working safe. The bathroom had shampoo and shower gel. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The breakfasts were substantial. I had one dinner and it was excellent. Aisa and Shema were great hosts. Housekeeping did a very thorough job.

This is such a beautiful Riad. The staff took very good care of us. The beds were softer than some other Riads we stayed in. The breakfast was good. Our room was clean and spacious (we stayed in the peacock room/honeymoon suite). It's a little difficult to find, like many riads in the old medinas of Moroccan cities but the staff helped us out.

As a couple travelling through Morocco already for 7 days we weren't expecting to see such a breathtaking riad after we entered the door in the northern part of the medina of Fes, accompanied by our host who came to pick us up from the drop off of our taxi. Aïssa welcomed us kindly, pampering us with welcome tea and bringing our luggage at our room without us even noticing. Exhausted after a 7 h trip we had our dinner in the riad, paying ≈22 € each for a great quality meal, cooked with love and served with care by the lady cook. The riad internal court was a dream, birds chirping, the water flowing in the fountain, the gentle breeze moving the numerous plants and trees, a real peace for the senses. The terrace on the last floor was no less. A huge variety of flowers and plants, all kept amazingly and with great care. The view on the whole fes medina from the terrace, provided with chaise longues to relax in the sun, was breathtaking. We booked the Chambord room and it was amazing. Spacious, with tinted glass windows, boiserie, amazing antique furniture and decorated wooden ceilings and carpets. Located on the first floor it had a privileged view on the riad from above. The bed was more then comfortable and the toilet even had a douche. The housekeeping was exceptional, going out of the expected service folding our pajamas and even hanging on the terrace some stuff we handwashed. The breakfast in the morning was of great quality, traditional Moroccan food, omelette, freshly pressed juice and fresh delicious seasonal fruit. Overall we would have gladly spent more than a couple of days in the riad, just enjoying the structure and the respectful and polite kindness of the staff, especially Aïssa, very attentive and always there to help with anything.

What a fantastic property! The location is very convenient with direct access to the Medina and a parking area. The Riad is beautiful with lush greenery in the courtyard and the welcoming sound of bird song. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the rooftop lounge areas are quite beautiful with many plants and flowers. Breakfast each morning was tasty and filling and the optional dinners were delicious and fairly priced. The people working there were exceptional! Aissa and Chaimae were so very kind and such a joy to meet. We definitely recommend this property!

This place is really wonderful. All the plants, that the owner takes daily care of. All the birds - not only parrots in cages, but plenty of wild birds in the trees all around the venue. All the extraordinary Moroccan decorations. Truly beautiful. The terrace offers great views of the medina, with many loungers and tables. This is good, because the rooms themselves are only barebones: just a bed and nothing. No table, no place to put your stuff.

Cons: It's DAMN COLD there in the winter/spring (we went March). The owner just said "yeah, Morocco is a cold country", without any interest in solving the situation (repeatedly, couple of days in a row). The rooms are dark and freezing cold, you don't really want to spend much time there. Probably in the summer this is ok. But for the winter, I wouldn't recommend this. Note: don't choose your breakfast table near the bird cage. The birds are deafening in the morning.

Beautiful riad that is excellent value for money. The interior design is beautiful, with so many intricate design details. The room and bed were very comfortable, and we even had a balcony over looking the courtyard. There is a rooftop garden to enjoy drinks (and there is alcohol available to purchase). The breakfast was so delicious. We booked for dinner one night, which was also so delicious. I was a little surprised at the price of the dinner but it was the nicest meal we had in Morocco.

Cons: As it is the Riad of Birds there are lots of birds (in cages) in the courtyard and the smell of birds was quite strong. Not overpowering and maybe I'm more sensitive to smells.

The Riad is lovely with a very beautiful courtyard and a comfortable rooftop. We stayed in the Peacock room which was large and had a couch. The bathroom is very nice and has a really nice rose soap. The staff is amazing. They are very helpful and will get you a car service or local tours. We didn't have dinner there but they have free breakfast that was nice and the one day we didn't want breakfast they brought us fresh orange juice to our room.

Cons: We stayed 6 nights and because of that we got tired of eating the same breakfast. I would just recommend that they offer more kinds of eggs. Maybe just a hard boiled egg.

At Riad Toyour they really care about their guests. Idriss and Issa are wonderful hosts with the finest sense of hospitality. Always there for a chat, explaining history, culture and sights in Fes and Morocco. The Riad is like an oasis and the rooms are so comfortable that you are really re-energized after a day of sightseeing. We stayed 3 nights and it was the highlight of our Morocco visit. We will most definitely be back and can recommend this Riad wholeheartedly if you are going to visit Fes. The location is ideal to visit all the interesting parts of the city.

Cons: Nothing that could be improved. When we visited the Hammam was undergoing renovations, so it will make future stays even better.

The location of this beautiful Riad was perfect! In the Medina, but on the edge so you could easily find the location. There is a car park close by if needed. Breakfast was lovely and kept us full for most of the day. All of the staff members were fabulous! We dealt with a young men named Issa the most. Both of the young gentlemen, Issa and Idris were friendly, spoke English and were so helpful. Kudos to the staff! You made our stay a fantastic one! The courtyard was a nice place to hang out since it was cool and the birds chirping added to the nice ambiance. The upstairs patios had wonderful views of the nearby ruins and rooftops. Great place for a cold beverage! I loved the birds and would recommend Riad Toyours!

Cons: The beds were very hard. The 2 bedroom apartment that we stayed in was around the corner (I knew this prior to booking) and it was a bit dark. There was a shared patio off the bedroom which we would open when we were there to lighten things up. We got in very late that first night and checked-in in the lobby. Did not realize that there were bedrooms just off the lobby, a few feet away, so we hope we did not wake people up? Same for the morning with people coming and going at different times. I would request a room on the 2nd floor if you are a light sleeper? We booked a guide from the recommended tour company. While the guide was knowledgeable and kept us from getting lost, we were shuttled around to places where there was a lot of pressure to buy (carpets, leather jackets, pottery items, weaving operations, etc.) Kinda felt like a scam. Tour guide should have asked us if we wanted to shop or to learn about the history and location? He also shuttled us in a taxi at the end, from the bottom of the "hill" and had us pay the taxi drive 100 dirham (about $10 US) , which it should have been more like 20 dirham as it was not far. So I would not recommend the tour company. Or be very up front with them prior to booking if you don't want to spend your day shopping in shops of their choice.

From the beginning we felt very welcomed. The Riad is even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. The service was excellent, special thanks to Idris who was an excellent host. The rooftop view was breathtaking. We were sleeping on the last floor and could not hear the birds during the night at all, it was a very quiet and comfortable sleep. Rooms were amazing, breakfast and dinner were also very good. We loved the Riad and the architecture, it is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Lovely rooftop with great view over Fès! The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. The location is great, just outside the Medina and we had a car so there was a big parking just around the corner which was very convenient.

Cons: They have many birds in cages downstairs, it's really sweet and relaxing hearing them during the day. The downsides are that it is a bit smelly downstairs and in the morning they will wake you up. As soon as the sun rises all of them start making noise. Besides that we had the issue of a cold shower in the morning, as the solar panels didn't heat up the water yet. The only chance to get a hot shower then was to go to the Hammam space on the rooftop and shower there.

The bed was large and comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the staff was really helpful and kind. The highlight is the roof terrace and the beautiful atrium.

Cons: The hotel should make clear that you are booking a room on the ground floor, which means very little privacy. One wall of the room is just glass doors and panels separating you from the atrium where other guests relax, eat breakfasts and dinners etc. (the coffee machine runs just centimeters from your head). If you are fine with this, the room is lovely and it's nice that sweeping the curtains away, the lovely atrium makes practically part of your room. If, however, you want some privacy and some natural light in your room, make sure you book a room on the first or second floor. Also, we find it a bit sad that there are so many caged birds in the atrium when it seems plenty of birds keep flying around freely. In our opinion, these would be quite enough to make this the Riad of the Birds.

The Riad is very beautiful and the staff is exceptional. The location is good. The second floor courtyard sitting was stunning. Some live music was provided and greatly appreciated.

Cons: There was road/parking construction going on in the neighborhood but that won’t last forever. The lighting in the room was dim making it difficult to read in bed.

A lovely hotel! The staff was very helpful in arranging tours and transportation for us. The breakfast was excellent and the lovely garden (with birds!) was a welcome respite from the busy city. Everything was wonderful and we would without question stay here again. First and foremost, the staff truly went above and beyond to make us comfortable and meet our needs. Travel was easy to arrange, they went out of their way to let us watch the World Cup, even though we had checked out hours before, and they took my shoes to a cobbler, even though it was quite late already. Everyone was so friendly! The location was perfect. Set away from the craziness of the medina, it was quiet and peaceful, yet only a few minutes walk from the souls and sights. We are dinner there twice and had breakfast each day. All of the food was great.

Cons: Nothing. The experience was wonderful.

Beautiful property. The main floor and roof are beautiful and welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only negative was that the room smelled of mildew a bit - hard to avoid given the age of the building, no window in the bathroom, etc. But everything else was wonderful. 10/10 - absolutely would stay here again. We stayed in November as a family of four with two child ages 12 and 8.

We liked the welcome tea and the beautiful riad with all its flowers and plants and the stunning terrace overlooking the medina. The suite was comfortable and spacious. Tje breakfast to go because we had to leave early was very delicious. The riad is one of the few that only needs 2 minute walking time from the car park a rare treat!

Cons: Please consider to let the birds fly free... We didn't realise that there would be birds in cages. Some of them are even local birds. Everywhere we've been in Morocco we could find birds living wild and free so we thought the birds would also fly to the riad naturally. We didn't realise that the name of the riad would be connected to caged birds otherwise we would've never booked it. Construction work right next to the riad. I bet it will be at a beautiful location once the construction on the big square is finished but now it is very Noisy

This Riad was truly magical and our favourite Riad that we stayed in Morocco. Firstly it is called Riad of Birds for a reason - the central courtyard has a beautiful garden with trees where lots of little birds live. In the morning (around 7am) they start chirping as they wake up (like a natural alarm for us humans). Then shortly after, they fly off for the day. From 5pm or so, they know to fly back home to the Riad and play among the trees and chirp to each other until 7pm or so, and then they go to sleep in the trees and are very quiet - it's fascinating and beautiful. The Riad is also in a great location, about 5 mins walk to the Blue Gate. Coming back to the Riad felt like an oasis every time after exploring the medina and souks. The room itself was very large and comfortable, the bed was comfortable, the A/C was strong, water pressure and temperature were good, and the TV had cable channels. Our room had a shared balcony - we enjoyed sitting here with some moroccan tea in the late afternoons. The breakfast was delicious with great variety - coffee, tea, cakes, bread, pastries, fruit, condiments/spreads etc. We also had dinner at the Riad and recommend this to other guests - the food was delicious and sitting in the courtyard as the sun sets and the birds come home was very lovely. Finally, the staff go above and beyond to help. My husband accidentally ripped one of his favourite shirts while we were in Fes - one of the staff, Idriss, contacted his friend who is a tailor and was able to fix the shirt to such an excellent standard that very same afternoon. Thank you so much to all the staff of Riad Toyour for making our stay so wonderful - we hope to come back!

Spacious and super comfortable room, breathtaking rooftop terrrace, and the best food we had in entire Morocco made by the cook of the house. The atmosphere is very elegant and fancy. Thanks for a friendly communication, Idriss! :)

Cons: The airport transfer was unfriendly, didnt even say goodbye after he had to give back 50 DH change to me. The price they work with seems way more expensive compared to the local taxi prices. But this was the only negative point. Oh and one important point: as you have amazing birds living and passing in the riad, why do you keep 2 poor birds closed in cages that are obviously frustrated? Totally unnecessary and creates bad vibes (at least for guests who care about animal welfare).

RiadToyour is truly a boutique garden riad. Breakfast in the garden with full of birds chirping was an amazing experience ! It has good location to medina as well. The room is spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The french owner is a friendly and unassuming person. He manages his terrace garder very well and shares a lot of horticulture experiences with us. I really enjoy my stay with Riad Toyour.

The staff was very nice. it was clean and comfortable. The garden with birds at night was nice

Cons: The description of the Riad was very inaccurate. there was no restaurant, no Coffee House, no Yoga room, the Hamaman was not working. Mint tea was only offered while we filled out paperwork (no express check in), not even once. Breakfast was the standard Moroccan fare nothing excellent, but nice. You had to order 3 hr ahead for dinner. We had a Tagine that was not hot! The Riad said if we wanted to make a “donation “ to bring children’s books for public library—I took many books, but they were for the Riad! location is in a residential area with no restaurants near.

It was amazing here! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, we felt so much like home here. ❤ We arrived in the middle of the night, and even that was no problem for the staff - great service ... The breakfast was great, room was big and cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable, warm water, good WiFi, very cool roof terrace - overall so worth to stay here. And again thanks to Jousef for everything!

Cons: Just the fact that all the birds have to stay in the cages in the riad is something I would like to see changed - maybe there is a chance to free them?

The hole stuff at Riad Toyour is absolutly nice and helpful in every way. Fresh brewed maroccean tea when ever and where ever you like. Richful breakfast that brings you through the adventures day in Fes. Even at the roof terrace at 4th floor. Location is fantastic as well. It's a couple of meters away from Medina but quiet at night. The only noise you will hear during morning hours and the day are the lovely birds nesting in the inner garden. Love this place!

Cons: Nothing to complain.

This was one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. Our entire group enjoyed our stay! The rooms are so dark at night and it was lovely hearing the birds in the morning and especially in the later afternoon and evening! The courtyard is so beautiful, it feels like a little jungle. Also the rooftop terrace has a beautiful garden and lounge chairs and a view of the madina, it was a great place to relax. We had dinner on the night we arrived and I would say it was our best meal in Morocco. Breakfast was excellent as well. The riad is located very close to the Madina without being directly in it, so it is very conveniently located. The hosts were very gracious and welcoming. I would say this was the best part of Fes! Also, this was sooo reasonably priced, hard to believe it!

Cons: Not something that I didn't like, but more as a caution for seniors, there are stairs for the 3 story riad so might be difficult for those with mobility issues

Fantastic place. It is genuinely as beautiful as it looks like in the photos. The inner yard is full of plants and birds, producing a lovely ambiance (in particular in the mornings). The staff was serviceable, very polite and professional, they provided information regarding the city of Fez and local activities. The breakfast was satisfactory as well. Our room was fantastic, nicely decorated and with its own terrace facing the inner yard. We arrived by car and we parked only 3 minutes away in a open (but guarded) parking area. The location is very nice, at one of the borders of the Medina, so it allows to visit the whole place by walking. The rooftop terrace looks very relaxing for spending fresh evenings (not in summer).

Cons: Nothing. It was a delightful experience.

This riad is an oasis and a tranquil refuge from the bustling maze of the Fes medina. Its location is just perfect to be at the proximity of the medina gate. Close to the main parking where you don’t have to worry on hauling your luggage into the tight alleys of the medina. The suite that we stayed on was clean, decent in size and ornate with a well-thought-of Moroccan design that would entice your senses and put you in awe. The interior designer in me can't help it. The ambiance was just perfect with the direct view of the large courtyard where you could hear the birds singing, hyping up an outdoor feel and a sense of relaxation. Having breakfast to a private terrace next to our suite was a plus to our romantic getaway. At the roof deck, one could sit, relax and quietly enjoy the view of the Fes medina. The sunrise view was stunning. The staff was so accommodating and helpful to assist us to the extent of our stay. One minor setback on our end was the glitchy control of the air conditioning unit on our first night, but was fixed the following day and acted on quickly. The owner offered us free laundry, to which I thought was nice. Overall, this riad is so far the best in Fes and highlighted our vacay in Morocco. Two thumbs up for this place and highly recommended.

Don’t be fooled by the small street and tiny door, once you step inside it is a whole other world. The staff is amazing, kind, and helpful. The beds were a little hard but fine. Breakfast included the traditional Moroccan breakfast of bread, juice and tea with eggs and fruit. The location is great, just a very quick walk to the Medina. We loved hearing the birds in the morning and flying around during breakfast. With all the birds however, it was very clean. The great staff even mailed something we left in the room! The only tiny problem we had was trying to get in our first day. We tried calling but no one answered. Other than that, it was a great stay and we’d go back again!

We had a magical stay at Riad Toyour. I loved that it was a true riad in that it had four gardens in a courtyard, each garden representing a season. They had a lovely rooftop terrace where you could enjoy drinks and overlook the medina in Fes. The rooms were gorgeous. The food was great. The breakfasts were generous. Great deal! Quiet, convenient location in the medina. One of the best places I've ever stayed in and I've traveled all over the world. The only thing that didn't thrill me was the tubs are challenging to get in and out of.

A very cute riad a stone's throw from the Medina, but feels like further, as it's so quiet and tranquil. Staff were very lovely and attentive to all my needs. Breakfast is lovely, and the roof terrace great for chilling out on the hammock. The riad itself took me back a to Alhambra, Granada, with its Andalusian feel. One of the best places I have stayed in for a while, and I'm a well rounded solo traveller!
