Altamente consigliato!

Super friendly, helpful staff. Oussama was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Beautiful Riad Hotel with plunge pool & rooftop. 20 min walk to main attractions. Restaurants nearby. We had evening meal in Riad which was excellent. Traditional Moroccan plentiful breakfast, although little variety! Option to have breakfast on rooftop terrace which was nice. Hotel looked after luggage while we were away on overnight excursions.
Cons: Furniture on rooftop terrace could have been a little more well-kempt. No central water feature in Riad. Be aware payment is in cash, Moroccan Dirham. Take plenty of Sterling or Euros to change to local currency. There is a kettle in the room but no tea of coffee, this has to be bought locally!

Staff were really nice and available for all the requests. Especially thank you, Ayoub, for your kindness. The breakfast to-go warmed us at the airport in the early morning. Good point is hot water, which is available immediately :) Even though the shower facility is small so it gets too humid everywhere.

The riad is very traditional and also very clean, with a pool and a stunning rooftop in which you can also have your breakfast (traditional Moroccan and very delicious). The position is good, even if we were all women, we felt extremely safe even in the night… (one night we even comed back a 3am), there is also a very traditional market in the neighborhood, with a lot of amazing fruit, where you can breath the real spirit of this amazing city. Even if the structure, the position and all was perfect, the best part has been the staff which was amazing and very nice. Oussama, a member of the staff, has been an amazing host, giving us advices and helping us in a lot of different ways (he even come with me to withdrawal money from the cash machine, helped us to find restaurants, cut for us watermelon di that we buy at the market and also packed our breakfast in the morning when we have to leave at 6 am) Me, and also all my group of friends which were with me, highly recommend this riad, not only for the beauty of the structure, but also for kindness, helpfulness and the amazing hospitality of the staff, which helped us to enjoy even more the beauty of Marrakech! When we’ll come back to Marrakech we are sure that we’ll stay again in this amazing place! Last we want to thank again the staff, you have all been amazing❤️

A beautiful place located in a privileged area inside the Medina, very calm but close enough to the souks. If you are looking for the real Moroccan experience, this is your Riad. The food was delicious and the rooms, very clean and comfortable. With a nice little hamman and beautiful terrace upstairs, you can enjoy the sunsets of Marrakesh. I would like to highlight the attention of Ousamma, who was not only a great host but a very attentive person at all times with us. Would recommend without a doubt.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are planning trips through tours then you might get pickups 2 mins from Riad.
Cons: **Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised** We stayed at this riad in Marrakech for 5 nights and, unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations on many fronts. Firstly, hygiene was a concern – we encountered **three cockroaches** during our stay, which was extremely unpleasant. The rooms lacked **natural light**, and to make things worse, they were **not soundproof** at all. We were **repeatedly asked by staff to keep our voices down**, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in a space we had paid for. The **bathroom light was broken**, and despite reminding the staff **three days in a row**, it was never fixed. Basic maintenance should not require this much follow-up. Breakfast was another letdown. We were told it would be a **varied traditional Moroccan breakfast**, but each morning we received **the same thing**: a crepe or fried bread with **flavored yogurt or a piece of date cake**. For a six-day stay, this became very monotonous. At checkout, we encountered a **payment issue**. Despite the listing on Booking.com stating that the property **accepts card payments**, we were told the **machine wasn't working**. After some research, we discovered this has been a **recurring issue** for other guests – something that feels intentionally deceptive. The **location is not ideal**, especially if you're looking to explore the Medina. It’s about a **25-minute walk** to the center, and we found the walk at night uncomfortable due to **locals staring**, which made us feel unsafe. Unfortunately, we didn’t read the 1-star reviews before booking – but in hindsight, they were accurate. I would not recommend this riad to other travelers. There are better, more honest accommodations in Marrakech.

Location: I like the location of this Riad since it is just 2 minutes walk from Bab Ben Brahim ( entrance to the Medina of Marrakesh). It means it was easy for us to be picked up and dropped off by all of the tours that we have booked. It’s also within the old city and it’s around 25 minutes walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa ( main square). Facilities: It was all alright, they’ve provided us shampoos and towels and the rooms are air-conditioned. Kettle is provided. Our room for 4 people did not have a refrigerator but the room that we have booked for 2 people has got one. We don’t mind tho as we did not really use it. They clean our room everyday but towels are not changed everyday which is fine by us too. Staff: 10/10 for the hospitality, kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Special thanks to Oussama for going above and beyond to accommodate all of our request. Most of our tours starts at around 07:30am & breakfast in the Riad starts at 08:00am but Oussama agreed to serve it earlier so we can still have it before our tour. He worked really hard to make sure that our stay is comfortable. Thank you Oussama! My friend has booked a massage which normally is only until 10 pm but they really waited for us to get back to the riad although it was already late ( my friends and I got scammed on our way back from having dinner outside). My friend has messaged Oussama if she can still cancel the massage but he said that the masseuse will wait for us to get back. We got back to the Riad almost 11 pm 😔 They have patiently waited for us to return. Be careful with the shower’s temperature, it can be really hot. Bring enough Dirhams as the Riad only accepts cash at the moment.

From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. He was always attentive to every detail, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. The riad itself was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located, but what truly made the experience special was the exceptional service. Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Riad is not quite as described on booking.com. The property is advertised as having a bar, To note, there is no bar at this property!! (The thought of having a relaxing drink on the roof top during the evening was partly why we booked this property). There is also nothing advertised that says the Riad only accepts cash! It would have been something to have been informed of this on arrival (which would have allowed us to make nessasary arrangements), the first time we knew this was 10mins before our taxi arrived to take us to the airport! This could have caused a very difficult situation for us (fortunately, this time (luckily) we had just enough cash to cover the cost). Our room (ground floor) was basically in reception. Sleep was disturbed due to people coming and going, talking, dragging bags. Shower water spilled out into toilet, and then bedroom if not monitored. Facilities were good (sauna, massage etc) Overall, an ok stay. However, the advert does not provide an accurate description and requires further (important) information (such as cash only!) But once again, the staff were excellent, and very attentive.

Good value for money and a location at the edge of the old town, about a 30-minute walk to the centre. Situated in an area where locals live, it gives you a chance to experience life outside the main tourist attractions. Despite being slightly away from the centre, we felt safe throughout our stay. I would have rated 8, if it wasn’t for, Oussama, the true highlight of our visit. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. He met us at the medina doors to help us find the riad and assisted with our luggage. Upon arrival, he welcomed us with amazing Moroccan tea and provided helpful recommendations for our stay. He even walked with us to places and was always available over messages for any assistance while we were out. His flexibility was impressive, arranging an earlier breakfast for us on the day of our excursion. Oussama's friendly and positive attitude made our stay truly memorable.
Cons: The room and public areas could feel fresher, so perhaps an air freshener would help improve the overall ambiance. However, it wasn't a significant issue and didn't impact our stay.

The decoration, simple but beautiful! The terrace was great, you can enjoy the sunset. It is just 2min walking from one of the medina entrances, which was great for taxi. The neighbours are locals, and you can feel the real Marrakesh because of it, with kids playing football outside as an example
Cons: The neighbourhood is not the most beautiful, it is mostly a locals residence area, but we never felt unsafe.

We were two families of 4 people that travelled together. We all agreed what a fantastic time we had and that the accommodation was just what we needed. The breakfast was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful, there was a roof terrace to relax on after a hectic day. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

The staff in the Riad were very kind and provided excellent service. Ilyas was helpful with navigating the Medina and making us comfortable. the traditional breakfast was amazing and all staffs inside the riad are very welcoming
Cons: The quadruple room was very small and we were a family with 2 kids and the large bed in the room was made of 2 single beds merged together so the kids always got into the gap while sleeping which was very annoying. The washbasin drains water very slowly and the hot water is fluctuating. Overall the amenities felt very basic

Everything was great, nice people, nice breakfast, very good location, really calm, everyone respectful. Nice rooftop terrace. Recommend.

The hotel was really clean and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed using the small pool to cool off after being out all day. The breakfast was lovely each morning and the location was convenient to be picked up for our day trips. It was about a 20 minute walk from the riad to the souk. Although the Riad is a little off the beaten path we felt safe walking back in the evenings.
Cons: We had to pay in cash and it would have been nice to know this before we arrived.

Elias and Ussamu (sorry if I am spelling the names wrong) were the best hosts we could have. Always with a smile on their faces, doing the very best efforts to make us comfortable and pleased with our stay. The Riad was very beautiful and comfortable. The mini pool at the top of the building was an oasis after the hot walks in Marrakech. Thank you so much for everything

Cons: This accommodation is located in a very dirty alley and it doesn't seem safe at night. And above all, I saw so many bugs, bugs, and very large cockroaches. When I saw this, I asked the owner to change the room, but he did not accept it. Moreover, the owner intentionally did not receive any communication from me or Booking.com. In the end, I had to book another hotel and didn't get my money refunded.

Me and my partner, together with both of my parents stayed in Dar Azul for 4 days. From the moment we arrived at Riad Dar Azul in the heart of Marrakech, we were captivated by its enchanting ambiance and the warm welcome from the staff. This hidden gem offers a serene escape from the bustling city life, making it the perfect retreat for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. The riad itself is beautifully decorated, blending traditional Moroccan architecture with modern comforts. Our room was adorned with local artisanal touches that added to the charm and authenticity of our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the vibrant streets of Marrakech. One of the highlights of our stay was the rooftop terrace, which offers stunning views of the city and the distant Atlas Mountains. It was the perfect place to enjoy the delicious breakfast served each morning, and also a great place to do stargazing at night. The staff at Riad Dar Azul went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Their hospitality and attention to detail were unparalleled, offering insightful recommendations for sightseeing and dining out, and always ensuring we felt at home. I would like to commend Ysmail, Yllaz, and Osama for being so warm and accomodating, greeting you with a big smile all the time - truly brightens up our day. The location of the riad is ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in the local culture. Situated within walking distance to major attractions like the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square and the enchanting Majorelle Garden, it serves as a convenient base for exploration. In conclusion, Riad Dar Azul is a truly special place that offers a unique blend of traditional Moroccan charm and exceptional service. Our stay here was nothing short of magical, and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful oasis on my next visit to Marrakech.

We had an uneventful stay at this Riad. Rooms are fairly clean, location is inside the medina but not really close to the Souks and the main Square (around 30 minutes walking). We did not use the Hammam but the prices seem fair and the people that used it seemed happy about it. There is a small swiming pool which we didn't use either.
Cons: We booked a Quadruple room because it was the only one available but we were given a triple one instead. We're a couple so it didn't bother us but I guess he shouls have at least apologise for giving us a cheaper room. The breaksfast was okay but relatively insufficient for us. We had to buy some more food afterwards. Also they only serve it from 8 am which was too late for us in 2 out of 3 days

Cons: I don‘t recommend walking from the riad toward Jamee el Fnaa, especially at night, better walk out for 50m and grab the 1$ Taxi to the old town It‘s just located at the other side of the city and the alleys are no narrow and confusing at night

The riad is beautiful it has spacious rooms, a nice rooftop, a pool and the most important thing the best staff in the world!! I was staying here the last couple days and had a heatstroke or something like this and missed my flight. Ismail and the other two guys I sadly don’t know their names rushed in cooled me with towels and kept me alive. They ordered a taxi helped me to get into that one and brought me to a Hospital. Ismail came with me and my girlfriend, he helped with the whole process offered to get things for us and was the best moral support as well. Never met such a great guy in all my travels. I feel like I owe you my life. This is the best riad with the best staff you will never set a foot in! Thank you all so much again I wish you just the best in life!!!

I had an amazing stay at Dar Azul, and it was made even better by Hamid the host. He made sure I had everything I needed: bottled water, vegan breakfast options, a phone charger, shisha, coffee, and mint tea. He also arranged all my taxis and set up the hot air balloon activity for me. The woman was also really helpful (didn’t get her name, sorry!). The facilities are all great and the place was very clean. 10/10 would recommend!

i like the most how they cooperate and help us in everything, before we come i also ordered a cake for my boyfriend and it’s really good, they responded in every question, then when we arrived they explained everything about the city and they gave us also a sim card and a map.
Cons: i just don’t like how our bathroom or our room so dark even the lights are on, I can’t even see if the shower is clean, and i also want to put this to warned some of you, because I don’t know if it’s them or the agency where they booked our tour in agafay, because we paid 220 euros for me and my partner for quad and camel with dinner but when we came there everything is perfect until one couple asked us and said they only paid 115 euros for the both of them for quad, camel and dinner, so we paid 100 euro’s more they said that it’s the agency who gave these price and by the way they didn’t gave us the recipe for our tour.

Ishmael treated us so well, he assisted us with all the things that we wanted to know, even for directions. it was definitely a warm moroccan hospitality that he had shown us. The property was very neat and whenever they do room service, they even folded some of our clothes which they didn’t even need to do. Additionally, the place smells so nice and relaxing. The property was very traditional which will make you appreciate the moroccan ambiance. We arrived at the location and immediately Ismail showed up to help us with bags and walked with us to the location. The stay was amazing, very clean, very comfortable and absolutely stunning place. The staff are angels, very respectful and helpful. Will absolutely stay here next time in Marrakesh. These guys really know hospitality and customer service. God bless. True gentleman. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The riad is absolutely stunning, and the architecture alone left a massive impact on our experience. Every detail is carefully thought through. The rooms are spacious, clean, and all around beautiful. The breakfast is amazing. The real highlight, however, is the staff, who will always go the extra mile to make sure you have an incredible stay. We had several excursions booked that required us to leave before breakfast began, yet we always got a stunning layout before taking off in the mornings. We got help with directions, haggling in the souks, history, and loads of other information about Morocco. We are particularly grateful for Ismail and all of the thoughtful advice he gave us and the care he took of us. If you're planning a trip to Marrakech, do yourself a favour and stay at this riad!
Cons: Be prepared to pay the city tax in cash.

Ishmael and Moustapha were so kind, friendly and helpful. The Riad was in a small alley in the Medina and was really quite difficult to find so they arranged a taxi for us from the airport and walked outside the wall to meet us. Once inside the Riad was a haven of peace with a beautiful rooftop terrace where we enjoyed a couple of excellent dinners. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good with juice, different sorts of bread, omelette, yogurt. The location was perfect , in walking distance from all the main attractions but away from the hustle and bustle of the Souk. It was excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend Riad Dar Azul.

The staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Gave us a good understanding of the area and places to visit. On our last day we needed to leave early, so they happily served us breakfast around 07:45.

Great breakfast, vibe, location and price Khalil at reception always available any time of day ready to help
Cons: Rooms could have been in better condition. Bathroom tap was loose. Toilet flush played up for couple days but was resolved by Khalil. Watch out for hidden city tax to pay before leaving. On top of booking cost. Booking.com did not make this charge clear. €2.50 per person per night

We had an excellent 6 night stay at this beautiful, traditional riad in the heart of Marrakech. The property is full of character and the plunge pool and lovely roof terrace were firm favourites with my teenage daughters. Our rooms were clean and well appointed with a delicious breakfast served every morning. Best of all were the friendly staff who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and were incredibly helpful.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.

The hosts were fantastic, super helpful, friendly and extremely accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family...and would love to come back in a few years!
Cons: The only thing is maybe a little more variation for breakfasts (yoghurts/fruit/egg) but everything else was perfect!

The position of the riad was close to a supermarket and exchange money point and it wasn't that far from the city center. Inside the property was pretty nice, the breakfast was really good and the staff was amazing; they were always ready to help us in any possible manner.
Cons: The area where the riad was located wasn’t really nice, and in the room we had there was always humidity. Also, the faucet of the sink in the bathroom was leaking water on the floor and the shower floor was a bit dirty unfortunately.

I was impressed with Halil's excellent service which exceeded my expectations. I travelled with a group of 7 friends and Halil was agile to help each and everyone of us whenever we needed him (arranged transport for us, showed us the important places on the map and the easy ways to go there and gave us recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, the location was convenient and the rooms were always cleaned and tidied up whenever we came back to the hotel. Couldn't recommend this place more!
