The bed was large and comfortable, and I liked the room’s aesthetic

Cons: I didn’t like that the staff were not responsive to my messages. When I called the riad to ask for a specific drop-off location for the taxi (since the riad is located inside the Medina), no one responded because the staff member didn’t speak English. I also sent a message through WhatsApp but didn’t receive a reply until after I had already arrived. When I got there, the lady handed me a note with written instructions since she couldn’t communicate in English. I also found the pricing confusing — the amount shown on the website was different from what I was asked to pay upon arrival, plus additional taxes. It seems that these taxes vary from one hotel to another with no clear standard rate. Nevertheless, I paid the amount even though it was slightly higher than what was displayed online. The bathroom and toilet were extremely small, just enough space to stand and shower. The riad’s location was quite secluded, though it was still close to some attractions. Additionally, they only accepted cash payments, which was a bit inconvenient.

Very beautiful riad in an excellent, central location. It’s close to one of the main streets of the souk, always lively and safe to walk even at night. The room, decorated in elegant Moroccan style, was carefully designed, just like the rest of the property. The hosts were incredibly kind, and everything was spotless. We’ll definitely come back if we visit Marrakech again.

Cons: There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like.

The staff in this hotel are very polite. They have allowed us to check in very early as our plane landed at 7:40 am. Aisha came to pick us up from where the taxi dropped us. They have provided mint tea and cookies as we came in which was a sweet surprise. All in all it was a great experience as the Riad was walkable to the Souks and to the Medina. The room we stayed and the whole Riad were very picturesque of a true Moroccan culture.

Lovely traditional riad in the heart of the souks/real, raw downtown Marrakesh. Traditionally furnished and original features. Simple but with true Marrakesh character. Hosts lovely and helpful but not in your face. They arranged airport transport both ways with a lovely driver....making it easy to find the tucked away riad as owner came to meet me from the car to walk me to the riad. Lovely peaceful rooftop where you can relax and listen to the birds singing. Shops selling water nearby and a nice little coffee vendor selling freshly brewed spiced Moroccan coffee within 1' of riad. Exotic bathroom in the biggest room (suite) which I stayed in which is not on a main drag in the souk but with the windows open - you will hear (during peak souk times) the ubiquitous scooters running around in the nearby back alleys. Windows shut and air con on - very quiet. Spotlessly cleaned everyday and lovely white, crisp towels every day which Aisha the host artfully designs into beautiful swans/animals on the bed every day. Highly recommend as EVERYTHING is walking distance. This place is very chilled. I didn't have to get 1 cab during my stay. WILL DEFO RETURN.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming with complementary tea and biscuits on arrival. Room cleaned everyday with cool animal towels :)

Cons: If you are staying here and sharing a room you need to be comfortable with the person you are staying with due to the fact that the toilet is just hidden by a curtain. However there is a downstairs toilet you can use for a bit more privacy.

Just beautiful and the staff were so helpful and kind. Authentic Riad in the Medina. The Suite was stunning. We had an early morning trip to airport. The kind woman at check in coordinated an early morning pick up. And Mohammed made sure we got to the pick up spot. Keep in mind that the riad is a short walk inside the M there are no cars. It was id about a eblock-nont long. The room was stunning. I stayied in the dSuite room which was beautiful and had an amaznainaing big bath and shower.

A charming room in a riad in great location in theMedina near one of the entrances and a 10 minute walk from Jemaa el Fna square. While not a luxury hotel, Room was comfortable and clean and spacious enough with some nice touches like a robe. For those for whom it is relevant , note that there is no real table in room It is is on a tiny side street so it is quiet but also A bit hard to find so recommended to ask them for instructions or photo ahead of time Overall: An excellent value and highly recommended for those who wish to stay in the medina

I stupidly paid a city tax upon arrival. This was included in the booking. The staff took extre money from us that had already been paid. In my opinion this was deliberate. There was no atmosphere to the Riad and technically this was not a Riad as it had no pool. The roof terrace was very cleverly photographed as in reality it was extremely poor and very unwelcoming. I would not be recommending this Riad to anyone as compared to other Riads we have stayed in for the similar price had friendly staff, better atmosphere, great roof areas and breakfast. Finally the bed was extremely hard and this led to very poor sleep.

Very sweet and helpful stuff. I met two ladies and one man, all of them were amazing. I had an early arrival time, but they prepared the room, so I didn’t have to wait. Location is also very good - though it’s in the labyrinth of Medina, I didn’t have any issue in finding it. The rooms have the heating systems, which is very important as it’s cold at nights in the end of March. The bathroom was sooo cute!

Cons: My room was very small, but I was travelling alone and for me it was totally fine. Plus, for this price everything was just awesome.

Our stay at La Lune Riad was nothing short of amazing! This beautiful traditional riad is a true oasis in the heart of Marrakech, offering a perfect blend of authentic charm and modern comfort. Despite being centrally located, it sits on a quiet side street, providing a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which was beautifully furnished with intricate details, a comfortable bed, and a stunning Oriental-style bathtub. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and effortless. On top of that, the value for money was excellent—a true gem in Marrakech. Highly recommended!

The riad is within the walls of the medina so it is super convenient for immersing yourself in the souk/old city experience. The street that it is located on is not accessible by car/taxi so expect a three minute walk with your luggage when you arrive.

Cons: There are 5 guest rooms around a central shared space in the traditional riad style. This is great and traditional however noise travels easily at night in the property so after 10pm expect to whisper and/or use headphones in your devices.

I really liked it in terms of cleanliness, hospitality, location & ambiance. When you need something they won’t hesitate to help. In fact, they will serve you and your visitors nice tea with biscuits.

Cons: Probably what could do better is if there is heating in the bed room. There is one in the shower/ toilet area which is great. There’s AC in the bed room wherein you can change the mode to heating but it’s not making the room warm in winter. Otherwise, there’s a thick blanket which kept me warm to sleep.

Great price and location. Staff were fantastic, happy to help and chat.

Cons: There is no separate room as a bathroom, just a shower with a curtain and a toilet with a curtain but considering the price I couldn’t complain. Also, if travelling with a friend there is nothing better than going up to the rooftop and getting some morning sun whilst they use the facilities.

Finding the property was difficult enough. Checking in they did not speak English. A day in and they then remind of city taxes which was equivalent to a night stay… which did not make sense. The room we were given had twin beds but no door on shower or even the washroom. Just covered with curtain. Lady helping us was nice but the main contact was rarely there. Inconvenient place, not completely clean, also felt like some of my belongings were moved around. Did not particular enjoy the stay compared to other options. Alright place nice people but wouldnt stay there again

Very nice place. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff. Beautiful decoration. Looks like a film set. I was welcomed with tea and snacks and felt at home here. Good value for money. Enjoyed it a lot. Staff were very helpful. Location is in the middle of the Medina, but it is so incredibly difficult to find.

Cons: Location with the most challenging part, especially since the taxis don’t come into this area and you can’t find it well on Google maps. No contact # working through Booking.com or online. Single room was ‘basic’ one small twin bed, no TV in room. Outside noise and light coming in as well. Overpriced for the room, likely due to the location.

Quiet place. Beautiful building. Kind owner

Cons: Area is a bit shady at night. The room is very tiny and the WiFi was barely reachable in my room.

I had a wonderful stay at this Riad located right in the heart of Marrakech’s bustling market. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and welcoming, with a charming internal courtyard where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast each morning. My room was simple but had everything I needed, and it was clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Cons: The only minor drawback was the cash-only payment policy, so just keep that in mind.

Stannade ett par nätter. Riaden ligger i Medinan, man får förvänta sig mycket ljud från närområdet, men i utbyte har man nära till allt, gott om bra cafeer och restauranger (kan speciellt rekommendera Terasse Mama).

The property is located in the centre of Marrakech. We were welcomed warmly at the riad. Comfortable beds and a nice warm shower are part of the package. Downside of the central location is the everlasting noise at night. So take something to block your ears and you will definitely enjoy your stay!

We had an excellent stay at Riad La Lune de Marrakech. Our room was beautiful, as was the common area, and the staff went above and beyond. If we're ever back in Marrakech, we will definitely be staying here.

Location is great.

Cons: I booked a double room, was given a tiny single room. Then at close to 1am two men came knocking on my door asking if I wanted to change to a bigger room - this woke me up and was super disconcerting. Obviously I didn’t want to change rooms at 1am, and they refused to credit the difference I paid between the single room and double room

The twin room we booked is set up with an integrated toilet and shower cubicle, with curtains for privacy, so certainly more suitable for those very comfortable with each other. There’s also a shared downstairs toilet by the Riad main door. I believe this riad has four guest rooms with communal dining at ground floor and terrace up top. Lovely to enjoy early morning before peak heat. The air conditioning keeps the room bearable in the summer heat, not strong but certainly helpful! The darkened stained glass effect windows may also help keep the room cooler, however the downside is that the room is dark and gets some getting used to! Staff are very pleasant and was always nice to see smiling faces upon returning to the riad. Strong and constant WiFi for mobile phones - a struggle streaming films on laptop. We tried the breakfast for around €5; it was adequate - in line with the price. I feel this riad is ideal for couples or solo travelers and is just a minutes' walk from Mohamed College V (where taxi will drop off / pick up passenger/s) ATM machine is very close by that college, opposite Pikala Rental Bikes. Any luggage will need to be hauled from this spot and the pavement is cobbled stone and narrow! Not far but to a consideration!! The main square 15-minute leisurely stroll from Riad La Lune under the shaded medina market. It should be added that late night pathways may be blocked requiring re-routing and can be overwhelming; to add locals may approach “to help”, often with aggressive tactics if declined—a common scam in Marrakesh. Caution is advised. Overall, this riad met our needs for location (good spot for our base) and price point, and finding the right fit took considerable searching given the many options available.

Cons: Inaccessibility for those with mobility issues. Lack of soundproofing to the outside - any sensitivity to noise may be an issue.

Fully recommended! Location was brilliant; walkable to the city centre and very easily reached by taxi. Host was really kind, taking the effort to pick us up and introduce to us to Moroccan culture. He was passionate, helpful and genuinely cared about our wellbeing. Our room was wonderfully blue, with a nice porch outside to relax on. Nearby region felt very safe (we were out at midnight) and had some nice restaurants. Overall a clean, tight-knit and well-kept place. At this price, there really isn't much more to ask for. Also, we arrived at ~22:30 and check-in was readily available.

Cons: Really not much.

Mohammad is such a great host! Suite La lune is a very comfortable Riad. Mohammad had excellent suggestions, including a place for dinner that we returned to multiple nights in a row! He even walked us there!

Cons: Some rooms are pretty small, but great for a single traveller. The suites are very comfortable. The Riad is a bit of a walk from where taxi's can drop people off, so if you have lots of (or heavy) luggage keep that in mind.

I have spent a wonderful time at Suite La Lune. Although conveniently located at the north part of the souk and only a few minutes away from the busy Jemma el Fna, the riad is placed in a very quiet area. The bedroom and bathroom were always clean. The 'secret' rooftop is a huge bonus to sit and relax! Mohamed was extremely kind and helpful, always available to give tips on what to do in Marrakech and the surroundings. Lastly, the breakfast was very good and comprised freshly squeezed orange juice, baguete, local bread, jam, butter, coffee, and other things! I highly recommend it 👌

If you want to feel like real residents and not just hotel guests during your stay in Marrakech, I recommend staying at Riad La Luna, located in the Medina itself. Mohamed is very helpful and will not only take care of you but will recommend the main attractions of Marrakech's old town, most of which are within walking distance. I recommend staying at Riad La Luna. Very good price-quality ratio and perfect location.

The location in the Medina was great The staff were friendly and informative. Especially Mohammed. The Riad has extensive communal areas decorated in the traditional style, imclusia.roof terrace.

Cons: If you are staying in Marrakech for a few days you might want to consider if you want to be in the Medina for the duration. It is very intense and if you go home with the feeling that you've been trapped inside a Arab market for 4 days, well that's because you have 🙂 Some of the smaller rooms have the toilets and shower literally inside the bedroom in an alcove just separated by a curtain. You might want to make sure you're very good friends. If your a roommate if you choose this option.....😬

clean and renovated, very very kind and helpfull staff, good and tasty breakfast, inner courtyard is so beautiful and big; location is great as you are in centre of medina but it is very quiet

Cons: - rooms are claustrofobic - hard to move; smaller then in description (definetely nit 15m2 but more like 10m2) - shower and toilet idea is crazy (i hate it) and only for truly trusting each other company (look at pics)

The riad is comfortable, intimate and welcoming. The staff is friendly and always available for every need. The breakfast is typical of the place and suitable for any taste.

I loved staying in Riad de la lune. Is really quiet despite of located in Medina. Mouad the receptionist was very welcoming and kind. He is supportive when I lost my key(silly me). As a solo traveller I felt very safe even when going out leaving my room unlocked. Riad is not far from Jamma al fna, about 14 min slow walk but there are lovely cafes and restaurants nearby.

Cons: I do not think there is something I would not like and I would complain about. Riad provides best value for money paid.

The staff is very kind. The cleaning lady does a very good job, and so does the host (receptionist) who tries to give you advice.

Cons: 1. The location is not very good, because you need to pass the whole medina, which is a lot of fuss and, a lot of mess. Wasting much time in slow passing by. (!) In the evening (after 22) it gets creepy. Especially crossing by the souks that you cannot avoid. 2. The WC is right across your bed, literally inside the room. There is a curtain. Zero privacy. The shower is in a tiny cabin, again with a curtain. Small, uncomfortable, and zero privacy

Cons: Every time we go traveling abroad, we take the same amount of euros with us. We left our wallet with euros the whole week in the hotel. Yesterday when we made our bags 20 euros in paper and 10 euros in counts was gone...When we went to the reception they said it was impossible because there were cameras everywhere and this never happened before. After some digging today we found another account on booking for this riad. Here it was not possible to book anymore. But in the comments somebody claimed her golden necklace was stolen. We were not the first one!! We we're very disappointed that they just told us that we we're mistaken and miscalculated our money, when we are 100% sure our money was taken out of our backpack. Overall we were very happy with our experience but last night ruined it for us!
