Atmosphere was relaxed and chilled. Breakfast minimal but lots of cafes nearby that offers traditional and European food.

This charming Riad is located about 2-3 minute walk from Jemaa El Fna. Which is a perfect location for your Marrakesh getaway. The staff are really friendly, accomodating and genuinely want to help you out. The room is spacious with modern facilities but maintains a decor of a traditional Riad. The breakfast was so yummy and filling and we did a private hammam and massage in the Riad which I would recommend.

Can’t fault Houssam, Omar or the ladies that prepared breakfast. They were the nicest most helpful people.

Cons: The shower was very hit and miss. Jumped from freezing cold to really hot or just tepid dribble. Quite a lot of sound coming from the square music wise. But to be fair that’s what we wanted. Literally 1 minutes walk from Jemma El Fnaa square.

This is a great Riad very close to the main square. An ideal location in the heart of the medina to explore all the souks and the little alleyways. The Riad was very clean, the staff were very friendly (the lady did Henna tattoos for my teenage daughters for 50dH each (much cheaper than the ones out on the square). The breakfast was simple but tasty. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The water in the pool was cold but it was February when we stayed so it wasn’t very hot anyway but im sure in the middle of summer the pool would be a lovely way to finish off a day of exploring!! Would definitely return to stay here for a visit to experience proper Marrakech rather than stay in one of the bigger hotels outside of the medina.

I booked at the last minute to join some friends who were staying in a different riad which was unfortunately fully booked for the dates I wanted. I requested an airport transfer but the driver didn’t show up so I had to sort something else out. I had managed to get the last available room which was a “superior” suite but I’m not sure what the difference is between that and a standard room. My room was very noisy with background noise from the main square plus people talking in the street outside my room as well as motorbikes starting up and leaving engines running for several minutes in the early hours. This, combined with a very uncomfortable bed (too hard for me even though I like a firm mattress) and a very cold room (an electric heater was provided but it wasn’t very effective), made sleeping very difficult! The good points - the riad was clean, the staff were very friendly and kind, breakfast was good, location (apart from the noise) was excellent. However overall, I don’t think the riad offered good value for money even if I allow an increase for being there over the New Year.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I could leave my bags there safely during the day. Room was comfortable. Shower was good.

Cons: It is near the main square and drumming continued until after midnight so it was difficult to sleep. Breakfast was very carb heavy. Some fruit would be nice...an orange or an apple? I wanted to relax on the roof but it was being renovated so it was not possible to sit there and there was no warning of this.

Friendly staff who took care of us - we got something to eat even though the kitchen was already closed. Breakfast was a great start to the day. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the interior is lovely. The riad also organized the transfer from the airport, including baggage transport on the pedestrian part of the route.

Cons: Communication via email could be better. The WiFi was poor and was only usable at specific times. The next part is not related to the hotel but rather to the transfer service. The arrival was quite stressful - we stood in line for passport control for 5.5 hours. The driver didn’t wait for us that long (which is logical) and asked us to contact him when we are done. However, when we were done with passport control, we couldn’t reach him nor the riad by phone. Eventually, we took a taxi, and once we found the riad, there were no further issues.

The room was clean and nicely presented. The highlight was Ahmed who was an absolute asset to the riad helping us wherever and whenever needed.

Cons: Some staff didn’t really seem to know what was happening so for example when we checked in it was all a bit confusing. They were nice enough though and it wasn’t enough to impact the stay. Unfortunately the roof terrace was out of order as there were renovations next door.

Very friendly and amenable staff and the hotel location is close to the main square but far away enough to be quiet. We had a pretty room on the top floor of the house with a little table and chairs to sit outside. The room.had good air conditioning. There was also a nice traditional breakfast included.

Cons: The bedroom floor was quite dusty and we stayed 3 nights and there was no cleaning done. Despite being advertised as such, there was no rooftop area with recliners. We assume as it was starting to be out of season they were renovating the room on the same floor as ours and so the roof top areas were full of building materials instead. Also the card machine wasn't working, so we were asked to pay for the accomadation in.cash, the day after we arrived.

The Riad is perfectly located by being literally a stone‘s throw away from Djemaa El Fna. Despite the vivid outside, the Riad is quiet and gives you all the comfort needed for relaxing after a day wandering through the exciting city of Marrakech. The hotel itself was great no issues, think its family run so there is always someone at reception. You get a nice Moroccan breakfast every morning. It is a little bit hidden so your better off asking the taxi/driver to get you to Jemaa el-Fnaa market and walk from there. It might seem a bit back alley to get there first time round.T here is air con and a heater. You can buy bottled water from them but there is a little shop seconds round the corner. The hotel has an excursions book, prices are in local currency and cash.

The location was nice and the room was spacious. Had a nice terrace and authentic Riad style. The lady offered us tea and welcomed us. The lady let us leave our suitcases before we had to leave to other place.

Cons: 1. On the listing it said that it has Wi-Fi in every room, though we didn’t have it at all. For us it was important as we work online and relied on the information provided in the offer. 2. No solutions were offered to this problem. First, we were told by Mohammed that he called people to check it. Then the day after we asked the lady, who works in the hotel, said that it’s a problem everywhere, though it wasn’t true. Mohammed kept ignoring the issue. 3. the stuff. it looked quite unprofessional when Mohammed was chilling on the couch and watching YouTube/football when his assistance was needed by other members. It looked like he doesn’t care and would rather continue his activities. 4. The breakfast was rather simple, in comparison what we were offered before. 5. No one spoke proper French and English. 6. the environment, overall, wasn’t very welcoming.

I love how close it is to everything! I booked at the last minute, and the staff was very accommodating regarding the situation. The room itself was beautiful and very comfortable. I only stayed for one night, but it was a good experience overall. When I asked about massage/hammam, Mohamed was kind enough to take me there so I didn’t get lost since it was later in the day. He also spoke a surprising amount of English, whereas I had the opportunity to practice my French more with some of the other staff members.

Cons: I booked online and because I didn’t have Euros to pay in person, I had to go to an ATM to withdraw cash. Since ATMs don’t give small bills, I wasn’t able to tip until the next day, which I think was a faux pas. One of the staff members was much friendlier when I tipped on my way out the next day, but until then, I don’t think she liked me very much. Everyone else I met was super friendly though. Breakfast was good but not what I’d expect for what I paid for the room, just bread and pastries. I had a better breakfast experience at a couple of places where I paid half the price (in other cities) where the rooms were not as nice.

Zainab, Mohammed and Zakiyah looked after us and all went above and beyond during our stay. Zainab and Mohammed are both, very friendly and caring, they are at the heart of Riad Le Rubis, they will go out of there way for you, making sure you are happy and comfortable. The Riad is cosy and in a great location in the heart of Medina where the souks, markets, and the city centre all close by within reach. Everything was wonderful including breakfast and the room itself. Thank you so much to all at Riad Le Rubis for making our stay wonderful, especially Zainab and Mohammed. We hope to see you again soon. Best Wishes Sara and Mobeen.

it was really bad, first the location is so hard to find then no parking I had to pay an expensive far parking, no restaurant no food and the room doesnt look like pictures, the owner was rude and the room is not clean. The place is too expensive and additional taxes are being requested, the breakfest is cheap

Hospitable staff, especially the older lady running things during the day. Enjoyed the tea on arrival. A bit of a mix up at check-in as to which room we were staying in, but that was sorted. The view was spectacular, overlooking the main market square. Located right in the Medina, best off for people who are looking to be right in the action.

The staff were super helpful and friendly both Zineb and Abdel, from the first day until the last. The room, bathroom was very cozy, clean, and beautiful, very typical decoration. The location could have not been perfect has we were only (3 or 4min) 500meters more or less from the main square Jemaa El Fna. Breakfast was good too. Amazing stay! We will come back and recommend for sure.

This riad provides the real Moroccan experience. We booked three rooms here and can’t say enough about the service and hospitality they showed us. Located in the Medina it is in the heart of Marrakesh. The rooms are small but have everything you need. Clean and tidy comfortable beds, light breakfast and coffee in the morning. We had to leave at 3am for an early flight. They had coffee and breakfast waiting. We had them provide a meal for us one night on the terrace. It was awesome. Can’t say enough about this little gem.

Stayed here for a night during my first trip to Morocco/Marrakech with my boyfriend. Not a luxury riad, but charming and clean (and good price!). Great location and very close to the Jemaa el Fna. Our room was exactly as requested through booking.com. Shortly after reserving, the management emailed me asking if I wanted to arrange an airport pickup. We agreed and this worked out well/was very helpful upon our arrival. This riad appeared to be all women managed (perhaps women-owned?) which was nice to support. The staff that we interacted with didn’t speak much English, but were very nice and accommodating. Upon our departure, the manager ordered a taxi pickup for us at the closest location outside the Médina. When no handler was available to hire for hauling our luggage to the taxi, she personally walked us to the taxi and insisted upon wheeling my suitcase for me. I would recommend this riad!

We arrived at around 11am and were dropped on a nearby street and met by a porter with a narrow who loaded our luggage and led us the short (5 min) walk through the back streets the Riad. Unfortunately there was no manager there to greet us on a member of staff who spoke no English. I do realise the failing is on our part that we don’t speak the local language and should not expect the hotel to speak English. The porter communicated to us that the manager would be in at 6pm for us to check in properly. The Riad was exactly as expected very clean and traditionally Moroccan. The lady presented us with a lovely steaming hot pot of Mint tea which was drank beside the plunge pool. We were led to our small, but perfectly adequate, room. The air conditioning was amazing and you soon became totally unaware of the searing heat outside. We stayed in the “Atlas” room which had a lovely king size, very firm bed. The only issue was that there wasn’t really enough room for all of our clothes and cases etc.... we had packed light as we were only staying for 2 nights, if you are staying for longer I guess you would be tripping over things. At 5, 7 and 8 the manager still had not appeared so we grabbed an early night. The next morning we were presented with a lovely breakfast and coffee, which we really enjoyed. The evening before I had watched the bread being made in the kitchen whilst we waited for the manager, so I know it was traditional and hand made. We had hoped that the manager would be around as we wanted to book tours through the company that the hotel recommended. Sadly we didn’t meet up with him until that evening, by which time we had already booked a tour with another local company. When we finally met the manger, who was a very young, pleasant man, we paid our city tax and for the transfers to and from the airport. The transfers cost only 20 euros each way, I would highly recommend booking these as you are then guided to the Riad. We didn’t eat in the Riad as, although there were signs everywhere saying food was available all day, we were out about exploring the Médina most of the time. All in all it was great value for the money, the Riad is literally a 2 min walk from the Jemaa El Fna and the Souks. Food is readily available everywhere. You can choose to breakfast on the roof terrace and over look Jemaa El Fna.

An oasis of peace, kindness and discretion in the chaotic square of Jamaa el Fna. my friends and I were welcomed by the kindness and discreet and helpful hospitality of Abdel Hay, who comforted us with a very good hot mint tea and was always available to meet our needs. rooms in typical decor, clean and facing the inner court. breakfast prepared by Abdel Hay. A restorative and professional massage performed by a talented beautician and ... An abundant cous cous offered to thank us for the stay. We will definitely recommend it!

Hotel staff stole my money (2 or 30,000 Japanese Yen = 200 or 300 EUR) from my wallet in my room. When I was back from Huna Square at 9pm, the only hotel staff at night shift kindly suggested me to have a tea at the terrace. So, I put my bag in my room, and went up the rooftop terrace to have a tea for 30 minute. When I was back to my room, I did not notice my money was stolen because I had two wallets each for DH and JPY and the wallet for JPY will not be used till I will go back to Japan next day. When I arrived at Japan, and tried to buy a bus ticket for my home, I noticed all of my 10,000 bill are gone. Since the above is the only timing I did not keep my wallet with me, no other person than the hotel staff could steal my money. The hotel staff is a part-time worker of university student. The man with dreadlocks is the man who stole my money.

This lovely Riad is perfectly located really close to Place Djemaa el Fna meaning that my sister and I travelling together felt perfectly safe wandering to and fro at all times of the day and evening and the roof terrace gives as good a view of the ever changing square as most of the restaurants in town ( and is well out if reach if anyone trying to sell you anything!). There was a slight hiccup with communication regarding our pick up from the airport and our request for twin beds but both were very quickly remedied without any fuss when we did arrive. Ismail and his staff, particularly Zineb were very welcoming and helpful whatever we asked for or about. WiFi was available throughout the Riad. There was a quirky little pool in the centre of the building if you wanted a dip- I wouldn’t really call it a swimming pool but it was clean and refreshing. The rooms weren’t soundproof and the life if the city did get through but did not spoil our enjoyment, they were clean and comfortable and British television was available if you wanted it. It was a delightful place from which to experience this crazy city’s clash of sights, sounds and smells. My sister and I would definitely consider using it again if we return.

Riad le Rubis is located very close to the centre of the old town - the main square and the souks are just outside. The atmosphere is amazing. The riad is a traditional Moroccoan hotel with lovely decoration. The breakfast with fresh orange juice and mint tea and pastries was lovely. There are a couple of terraces to sit on and enjoy the view over the old town when you are taking a break from visiting attractions. A lovely base.

This was our second Riad during our stay in Marrakech, I wanted the experience of two. Riad Le Rubis was very good just 2 min walk from the square, it is down some back streets but we always felt safe. From the roof top terrace you can see part of the square. It was all clean and comfortable. Would I stay again, probably not, even though it was very good, where as the other Riad we stayed at we would. The only down side and this is why I scored 4 was that Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am and we had 2 excursions that went at 7am and there is no provision for this. That said breakfast was really good, the Orange Juice is from the juice stalls in the square. You can get the number 19 bus to the airport from the bus stop opposite KFC in the main square, just 30 Dirham.

Great location, great staff. If you stay at Riad le Rubis and arrive via the airport or the train station, ask the cab driver to drop you at the Koutoubia mosque and walk from there (it's easier). If you don't, you will be hassled walking through the medina with your luggage, will end up needing help, and when someone offers you help they may end up blackmailing you to leave a 10+ euro trip for 2-3 minutes of help. I did not have the change to give more than 2 euros and the dude waited outside for over 30 minutes, claiming he then had change. Everything else was perfect.

I arrived to Marrakech late at night and the trip from the Square to the hotel was a little scary, dark empty pedestrian streets and hidden corners suitable for people to hide, once in the Riad you feel safe, staff is very friendly, the breakfast is an assortment of breads, butter and jelly, delicious OJ and coffee nothing fancy but enough to start your day, after exploring the area I realized there are better locations to stay at where I would fell safer, specially coming back at night from having dinner....the streets are super dirty and deserted nice little hotel but the location not so great. The room was comfortable, nice AC and bath, a bit noisy when people decide to have a full conversation when having breakfast, open corridors and the noise travels up and you can hear everything in your room, if you are an early riser that won’t be a problem but the last two days I decided to take is easy but was not able to sleep in.

LA PRIMERA EXPERIENCIAI FUE UN POCO NEGATIVA, YA QUE NADA MAS LLEGAR NOS QUERIAN COBRAR LA SEMANA COMPLETA A LO QUE ME NEGUÉ Y HABLE CON EL DUEÑO DEL RIAD, YA QUE ME PARECIA UN ABUSO Y NO ESTABA DISPUESTO, PAGUE AL FINAL DE LA ESTANCIA. EL CHICO DE RECEPCION MUY AMABLE Y MUY EDUCADO E INTENTANDO EN TODO MOMENTO AYUDAR UN 10. LA SEÑORA DE LA COCINA TAMBIEN MUY AMABLE, EL TRATO CON EL PERSONAL DE RIAD EN GENERAL MUY BUENO. EL DESAYUNO PONE CONTINENTAL, PERO ES TODOS LOS DIAS LO MISMO Y UN POCO BAJO DE CALIDAD...... SE PODRIA MEJORAR. LA LIMPIEZA NEFASTA, TUVIMOS QUE PEDIR EL CAMBIO DE TOALLAS Y LA CAMA NO LA HACIAN NINGUN DIA, ESTIRABAN LA SABANA Y COLCHA PERO SIN MAS. LA DUCHA BASTANTE INCOMODA SALE AGUA CON MUCHA PRESION CALIENTE PERO INCOMODA. LO MEJOR DEL RIAD ES SU SITUACION Y EL PERSONAL QUE LO ATIENDE QUE HACEN TODO LO POSIBLE PARA AYUDAR, PERO HAY MUCHAS COSAS QUE SE PUEDEN MEJORAR EN ESTE RIAD Y QUE DEBERIAN DE MEJORAR.

This is a great value for money accommodation in the heart of the Marrakech Medina. A bit of a challenge to find initially so be careful who you ask for directions. The staff are friendly and professional. We had dinner at the Riad on the first night on the rooftop terrace overlooking the excitement of the main square. I recommend this accommodation if you want to stay in the centre but if you have children with you opt for one of the bigger hotels in the new area if the city.

The riad is located less than 5 minutes from Jemaa el Fna square which is very convenient for enjoying the medina. You can hear some noise from the square at night however we didn't have any problems sleeping. We were able to find the place for ourselves however it took us a while because there is another street called the same !!! and the actual place is located in a alleyway. Make sure to have some pick you up if you're arriving at night because there is almost no light in the street. We had lunch there and it was a fantastic home cooked meal at a reasonable price for a meal in a riad. I highly recommend it. The only drawback was that the air conditioning was drying the air so much that we awoke with sore throats, however it was really hot in Marrakech.

The apartment is in a good location but there is a lot of noise coming from the Medina specially at night, so if you are a light sleeper it may bother you. Added to this, depending on the wind you can smell the horses from the Medina as well. Regarding the rooms, they are small but cozy. Good price/room ratio. My only concern was that the hotel was on a dead end and the street nearby were just pedestrians paths which were dark and dirty. You were not able to arrive but taxi and you have to walk several blocks. If you are walking on your own, you can feel unsafe. Please check photos of the access.

Riad Le Rubis is perfectly placed for exploring the old town, the main square and the souks. Mustaffa the manager went above and beyond for us when we found out that the red tourist bus wasn't running. Instead of simply telling us which bus to get to the Majorelle Gardens he got on the bus with us and took us to the door because, he said, it was on his way home. FYI, it is bus #12! Breakfast was a delicious mix of fresh breads, yoghurt, paratha-style flat bread and jam/honey- served in the sunshine on the roof terrace. This is an old property with lots of steps so bear in mind if you are unstable - no lifts. We had a twin, which was tiny and very basic, and a double which was more like a suite. So I would say go double if you can or if you have a lot of stuff with you.

Very nice time in Marrakech. The Riad is just next to the Jemaa El Fna place which for us was great lokation with buses just 5 minutes from our stay to the airport like and city buses. The main problem just will be to find it the first time after arriving. That's why we took a taxi provided by the hotel. They bring you to the door but for that you have to pay 165 they own money where the airport taxi shouldn't charge you more then 100 (as a turist).
