We spent 5 nights here as the 2nd half of a family holiday. Having travelled from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh the immediate peace and quiet was both striking and most welcome! The Riad is peaceful, the family room we shared was a good size, the pool area was always clean and quiet and much appreciated under a hot sun! We travelled without a car - worth noting that it is a 15 - 20 minute taxi ride into Essaouria but this was easily arranged with the help of the Riad owners as were activities we booked. The chef / food is lovely and the service with a smile even better. It definitely helps to speak french but ours is very limited and it was not really an issue. Big thanks to all of the staff at Dar Essaada for helping to make our stay so memorable!

Es un Riad molt bonic, a les afores de Essaouira, super tranquil, amb una piscina excepcional i un personal molt correcte. L'habitació estava molt bé, ja que era molt gran, a la planta baixa amb acces directe a la piscina.

La location Ăš meravigliosa, la struttura molto carina, ha una bellissima piscina adatta a tutti compreso i bimbi piccoli. Il personale Ăš davvero gentile e disponibile. I pranzo o le cene vanno prenotate entro mezzo giorno, il cibo Ăš buono, semplice e i prezzi ragionevoli.
Cons: Wi-Fi piuttosto scarso, nella stanze non prende per niente invece nella zona ristorante funziona. Per quanto riguarda l'aria condizionata, nei primi giorni ha funzionato ma purtroppo per due notti di fila non abbiamo avuto l'aria condizionata. La struttura si Ăš resa disponibile di prestarci un ventilatore che non abbiamo usato perchĂ© siamo arrivati tardi, dopo cena non c'era piĂč nessuno nella struttura.

Dar Essaada is a beautiful place to stay after the hustle and bustle of the Medina in Essaouira. Located in the countryside just 20 mins from the town, it is a place of peace and tranquility. We were greeted warmly by the staff and enjoyed some wonderful meals. The rooms are large and beautiful and decorated with an African theme. There are lots of original sculptures and artworks to admire. Thank you Latifa Thierry Francoise the chef and all the staff who made our stay most enjoyable. Special big hugs to Tia the adorable dog.

The warmest of welcomes received, a beautiful room with inspired touches to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast was good value for money. Tranquil environment with lots to enjoy - missed out on the hammam & massages this time but will return to try it.
Cons: There was an issue with the pool on the second day so we couldn't use it as much as we planned to.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The hospitality was excellent. The staff were all lovely, friendly and very helpful and welcoming. My two daughters loved the swimming pool. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were so accommodating, going out of the way to prepare a dinner of spaghetti bolognese for my daughters. The family that own and run it were always on hand to help us with our stay and answer the many questions I had about booking taxi rides into town and camel rides!! We would definitely return again.

Fantastic place. All staffmembers are so kind, we really felt so welcome. The room was big and nice decorated. The pool was amazing, the kids really loved it. We would love to come back!

Everything was lovely! Food was excellent by the chef. Francois was a very kind and happy person. Very happy to have meet him. The owner was very kind. The staff was amazing and the animals too
Cons: The only thing I didnât quite understand is that you have to pay for your eggs at breakfast.. first time Iâve encountered this while breakfast is included. Breakfast was only bread with jam and butter, cream cheese (la vache qui rie) some sweets, fruits and coffee or thee. Eggs should be included in my opinion. Otherwise very limited protein wise :)

Strategically located if your purpose is to see and visit Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki and Imsouane. on the other hand, if you donât much fancy moving and like staying and relaxing, the riad itself has and offers facilities and services like swimming pool, hammam, massage, lunch and dinner
Cons: There is nothing that we didnât like. We just wish we had rent a car earlier and during our whole 3 days stay and not just the last day.

Dar Essaada is exquisitely designed and our room in particular was beautiful with a stunning view. Thierry is a charming host along with Francois, Azma and the team who go out of their way to help. The whole building is gorgeous and filled with art pieces while everything remains relaxed and comfortable. Mon the dog and the occasional wild tortoise roaming around provide entertainment. The pool is beautiful and an aperitif on the terrace before dinner is perfect after a day in Essouaira medina. All in all - a real gem.

Great location a short drive from Essaouira attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the place had the perfect peaceful, relaxed feel for a family holiday. An added benefit of staying here is that it is 15 min drive from Essaouira but doesnât get the wind.
Cons: only minor issues - could have done with a fan in the room at nights
