Allt var riktigt bra. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma och det kändes hemtrevligt. Rummen var mysiga och alltid välstädade. Även frukosten var väldigt god och uppskattad av oss. Läget på hotellet var jättebra - det kändes lite avskilt men samtidigt nära till allt, framförallt medinan (gamla staden). Rekommenderar starkt att bo här, vi var väldigt nöjda med allt!
Cons: Det var lite lyhört, men det var ingen som störde oss och man vande sig fort. Tror dessutom det är svårt att undvika när man bor inne i medinan.

Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti da Ismail, una persona estremamente cordiale, solare e disponibile, che ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. La sua gentilezza e il suo sorriso hanno fatto davvero la differenza, trasmettendo un grande senso di ospitalità e attenzione verso gli ospiti. La mattina successiva la colazione è stata un altro punto fortissimo del soggiorno: Sanaa e Karima ci hanno trattato in modo impeccabile, con grande cura, gentilezza e professionalità. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati e accolti con calore, come in famiglia. Il Riad è splendido: la camera era pulitissima, ordinata e curata nei minimi dettagli, con un design elegante e autentico che rende l’ambiente molto piacevole e rilassante. Tutti i servizi erano presenti e funzionanti, rendendo il soggiorno comodo e senza alcuna mancanza. Un’esperienza davvero positiva sotto ogni punto di vista. Geweldige service; van het moment dat je opgehaald wordt uit je auto tot dat je weer vertrekt. Iedereen is even attent en behulpzaam; bijvoorbeeld in het meedenken over restaurants of het bezoeken van musea. We hebben genoten van de lunch en het avondeten dat voor ons werd bereid. En volgende keer doen we graag mee met de kookcursus. Kortom; Monriad is een feestje.

La colazione era varia ogni mattina, curata nei dettagli, con sapori autentici e la possibilità di richiedere uova preparate al momento, una coccola quotidiana molto apprezzata. Le stanze e l’intero riad erano sempre pulite, ordinati e ben mantenuti. Si percepisce una cura genuina per gli spazi, che crea un’atmosfera armoniosa e rilassante. Anche gli ambienti comuni risultavano impeccabili, profumati e accoglienti. La posizione è ottima: comoda per muoversi, strategica per visitare la città e allo stesso tempo tranquilla per riposare bene dopo le giornate intense. Monriad är en väldigt mysig riad med trevlig personal och ett perfekt läge i Medinan - den äldre delen av Marrakech. Det finns en stor takterrass. Rummen är små och enkelt inredda men rena. Boendet har WiFi men det är mycket långsamt. Monriad ligger mitt i ett kluster av mysiga små gränder med hundratals små butiker som säljer allt från hantverk och antikviteter till smycken, väskor och skor. Personalen var hjälpsam med att boka restaurang, transfer från flygplatsen och taxi till olika destinationer. Vill man känna den genuina Marrakech känslan i några dagar, så är Monriad ett utmärkt val.
Cons: Boendet skulle ha både pool och balkong enligt beskrivning på Bookings. Poolen var max 4-5 kvm och låg mitt i restaurangen. Balkong (privat) saknades. Boendet saknade hiss och det var lite svårt att bära stora resväskor uppför smala trappor till vån 3.

L’emplacement était super ! On peut tout faire à pied c’est hyper central. Ismail était super, et tous ses collègues aussi. Ils ont été de bons conseils et on a été très bien accueillis. Les chambres sont faites tous les jours et sont super propres !!

Das Riad liegt nur wenige Meter vom nächsten Parkplatz weg, aber dennoch in den kleinen, charmanten Gassen der Altstadt. Diese sind aber auch nicht so eng und dunkel wie an anderen Stellen der Stadt, sodass man auch bei Dunkelheit ohne Angst auf die Hauptplätze in der Nähe gehen kann (falls das eine Befürchtung war). Die Unterkunft bietet die Abholung vom Flughafen, Kochkurse und diverse Ausflüge an. Der Ausflug nach Essaouira verlief reibungslos und ist zu empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter des Riads haben uns jederzeit mit einem Lächeln empfangen, haben uns immer weitergeholfen, wenn Fragen aufgekommen sind, und waren allgemein sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen, nach Vorbestellung, auf der Dachterrasse war sehr lecker. Die Dachterrasse allgemein ist super zum Abschalten, war quasi immer leer als wir da waren, und bietet neben Tischen auch einige Liegen und Loungemöbel, von denen man super die Koutoubia-Moschee und den Sonnenuntergang sehen kann. Für eine kurze Abkühlung kann man die drei Stockwerke in den schönen Innenhof heruntersteigen. Das Frühstück war gut zusammengestellt, hat jeden Tag leicht variiert und war auf jeden Fall genug. Die Zimmer waren sauber und groß genug, mit zwei Fenster in Richtung des Innenhofs. Nach der Hektik in den Gassen Marrakeschs ist es sehr angenehm, in diesem schönen Riad mit zuvorkommenden Angestellten auf der Dachterrasse abzuschalten.
Cons: Uns hat es zwar nicht wirklich gestört, aber aufgrund der Zimmer in Richtung des Innenhofs kann es auch etwas lauter sein, wenn Leute am späten Abend heimkommen oder früh am Morgen das Riad verlassen. Bei tiefem Schlaf oder Ohrstöpseln ist das aber auch kein Problem.

As a group of 7 ladies, we really valued the location of this very comfortable, secure and homely Riad. The location was ideal, very quiet, birdsong to start the day, and the rooms were delightful. The staff went above and beyond with exceptional hospitality! The ladies in the kitchen prepared the tastiest chicken tagine for our lunch on arrival, which we ate on the pretty rooftop terrace. Marina and the guys on reception helped arranged taxis and gave us lots of recommendations and useful advice and tips. We all had an unforgettable weekend and have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful Riad!
Cons: The beds were a little hard for some of us, but a mattress topper was quickly provided, which completely resolved this problem.

Riad bellissimo, curato e staff gentile. La proprietaria italiana ci ha accolti ed è sempre stata disponibile per accontentare ogni nostra esistenza. Abbiamo fatto una cooking class tenuta dalla cuoca del Riad e un’esperienza nel deserto che ci hanno prenotato loro. La camera era spaziosa, e anche la colazione era molto buona, con anche opzioni vegetariane e vegane disponibili. Abbiamo usufruito anche del servizio taxi da e per l’aeroporto a 15€ a tratta ed è stato possibile farci stampare le carte d’imbarco per il volo di rientro.

In the hot and busy medina this place was an oasis. It was cool and comfortable, and located in a convenient spot. From our arrival all of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and this continued during our stay. They provided lots of useful local tips to make the most of our visit to Marrakech. The breakfast was generous and they were flexible about when it could be provided.

The staff is so helpful and nice. Facilities are good and the location is superb! Can walk to a lot of locations and even the taxis aren’t long drives. They will set up airport transfers for you as well.
Cons: Our shower didn’t drain the best but it was cleaned spotless everyday. The A/C is okay at best, but anything beats the outdoor moroccan heat.

Riad was lovely. Men staff, not so much. We wished we would've been greeted by the woman (possibly owner) upon arrival, the way she so warmly greeted us upon checkout. We failed to get her name. She was absolutely wonderful. Our first impression at checkin, left an unsatisfactory-lasting one. Man at front desk wasn't very friendly..wanted to "hold" our passports. We informed him, our passports go where ever we go. We felt like children heading out for the day. Questions of when we were coming, going and where to and how long befofe we would return. Walls were paper thin. A phone call, in your own private room, was apparently a disturbance to other's. You could hear a person speak, sneeze, cough in the next room. We went to dinner and returned. Once back at the Riad, we were told, next time we head out, to tap with our finger and not use the door knocker on the door.(To gain access) They must let you in and out each time you come and go. We were also told people were sleeping and to be quiet. We felt like we had to whisper. Tip toe to our room and whisper once there. We had a cheerful moment of laughter in our private room and someone came and banged on our door. This all made for an unpleasant stay during a celebatory vacation. This was our least favorite part of the trip. This was our second time to Morocco. Unfortunately, we won't ever return to this establishment for the future. We feel badly submitting a review like this, especially since we were so excited to stay here.

This was the perfect choice for me as a first time solo traveller. A taxi from the airport was arranged for me & I enjoyed a wonderful evening meal on my first night. Breakfasts were amazing & all the staff throughout were super friendly, helpful & made me feel very welcome. Great location too.

Wonderful riad. Perfect location, quiet and not far from attractions. Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely and always served with a smile. Roof terrace is perfect for watching the sunset!! We had an excursion and they provided breakfast earlier than the scheduled time, which was super kind of them. Staff were super friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay, they made us feel like part of the family, always checking we are ok or need anything, especially Ishmael, we are very grateful. Even on the last day we were able to leave our bags while we explored the city after we checked out, then while we waited for our taxi, they served us tea. Such a lovely gesture. They went above and beyond for us. Will definitely recommend to my friends and hope to return and stay here again.

Monriad was a gem in the middle of Marrakesh! Ali welcomed us and made us feel at home, the patio is wonderful and the fountain sound just relaxes you as soon as you arrive. The rooms were fantastic, aswell as the rooftop and the breakfast. I also really enjoyed the location, just a bit outside the souk, a little less caotic, I would reccomend everyone staying there!

Loved that the two birds who were inside always started chirping exactly when breakfast started 😊. We used a lot of their recommendations. Ismail especially was spot-on! Can recommend cooking class!
Cons: Our room had a somewhat strangely-placed toilet…not good for tall people. The bed was quite hard. Many Europeans and Americans not used to this. One of staff seemed a bit gloomy….was it something we said? He was professional but seemed a bit “down” most of the time. I am sure it was by accident but during cooking class, the chores were strangely not allocated fairly….one lady received many tasks, I received almost none. Allocate more equally.

We stayed at Monroe’s for 3 nights and had the most amazing experience. The staff were so attentive and knowledgeable about the local area. They gave us some great recommendations of places to visit and key information about Marrakech. The decor is stunning and rooms were beautifully designed with a huge bed! The breakfast was delicious and great portions. The cooking classes looked fab and we will definitely be booking that on our next visit. I’d highly recommend staying here, a peaceful hideaway in the centre of town!

This riad is beautiful. The light from the skylight and the birds the dive around in the morning, are so beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are nice, enough space and everything one needs. Everything clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional. Our welcome was such a warming treat, and set the tone for how hospitable Marrakesh was in general. They have anything you need, happy to swap our softer pillows as needed, cleaning the room readily. The location could not have been any better. Exceptional value for money.
Cons: Nothing really. Just sad we were there for such a short time because would have loved to try the cooking class and other great options.

It allows you to have a cultural experience, staying at a riad. It was clean and the staff was really helpful, kind. We left our luggages on the last day to see more of Marrakech as well. Also the hotel is both central and a bit out of the crowdness and the noise of the city.

Great location, safe to walk around any time! Everything was clean with a nice scent all around. They do make beds and change towels everyday. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. Food menu is great and the rooftop view is beautiful. The staff made sure everything we needed was sorted.
Cons: There were some miscommunications that could have made a difference to a 10 in customer service. But the truth is, after all, they did their best to make it up and please us.

Service was really good, the staff were really accommodating to our request to have breakfast earlier than the set time as long as we inform them in advance. The staff were really nice & friendly. The breakfast was amazing, not repeating any for the 4 nights we stayed there, keeping things interesting:) Rooms were really clean and comfy, the soaps smell good :) Location is also good, quiet and unchaotic at night, don't see any reason to stay so near to the Jemma el Fnaa square anyways it's only a 14min walk there. Also located quite near a nice rooftop bar call Dardar if that's somewhere you like to visit on your trip.
Cons: Dinner was a little pricey but I guess it's expected if you decided to have dinner in any Riad. Also everything is charged in Euros instead of Dirham, not particularly a negative info

Great location in the Medina, close to lots of shops and restaurants. The staff offered amazing service and all were very helpful and caring. We especially enjoyed the cooking class where we made entree, main and dessert and included a walk to the local market where we got to check out vendors, it was not touristy which was amazing! The rooftop was lovely and sunny and the perfect spot in the afternoons.
Cons: One of the pillows was not to our liking on the first night but it was promptly changed the next day when asked :). There is some noise at night from streets and within the Riad (if others are walking, preparing breakfast, etc) around but not really an issue.

The food was the most delicious food we tasted while in Morocco. We got lamb and chicken tagine and they were out of this world. I only stayed there because my friends were staying. Nice hot shower. Paid higher rate for a larger room.
Cons: Didn't feel welcome during the whole stay. Checked out the hotel feeling awful. I thought booking.com took the payment at the time of the booking but hotel asked me to pay when I was leaving, wish hotel take payment at the check-in stage like others. For some reason my credit card was suspended after Hotel took the payment. I was scared when a power surged in my room at night. There was a faulty table lamp in the room which I wouldn't know. Dangerous??? Lucky my mobile phone wasn't damaged with power failure. No English speaking staff over night. Hotel staffs were trying hard to sell an optional tour.

The owner is very nice, she was attentive and was there to tell me how everything works in the hotel and a bit of the Moroccan culture. The hotel is beautiful and the employees are always willing to help. The location is amazing, you can walk everywhere.
Cons: Wifi really doesn't work for working. Luckily I bought a sim card and used the 4g and it was ok, but not great. They also didn't have a proper table to work in the room even though I specifically asked for that, they only had those small Moroccan tables that are totally uncomfortable like kids tables. Breakfast didn't have much variety and was the same everyday.

They genuinely care about providing excellent service! My husband wasn't feeling well on the last day, and they waited for us to eat breakfast long after it was over. They also assisted my colleague when she was cornered by the guys who assist with luggage. They provided ear plugs for the night, demonstrating that they were attentive to every detail. I cannot recommend it highly enough! It is centrally located in the Medina, close to everything, it has a beautiful roof top... Book them now!

Amazing little safe haven in the heart of the noisy, busy city. Cute welcome area with a fireplace and tea, super helpful staff. The rooms have everything needed. I didn’t know you can book dinner also, think about it to book previously if you take a room :) they also do cooking classes
Cons: The only thing was one staff member that was quite grumpy that served us breakfast. It was quite slow and we had to ask for everything, it wasn’t automatically served.

Communication with Marina (the manager) was excellent, both before our arrival and during our stay there, via WhatsApp. Helped us with airport transfer, day trips and other information in general. First person to meet there was Mouad, who was really helpful and willing to answer our questions. Reception and kitchen staff were professional and great in any aspect. The premices are in the best location possible, less than five minutes north to the most tourist attractions and few minutes south to Jemma el fna, Koutoubia Mosque and the souks. Riad is easy to find even if you arrive by your own means and despite being located so central its really quiet. Our room (number 9, second floor) was spacious and nicely decorated. We also had dinner there and it was delicious. Good prices also. To sum up, i was searching for a riad almost for three weeks before i book Monriad and it was a chaos with so many options. Didn't know what to expect and seems it was an excellent option to stay, would go back there again without hesitation.

Amazing stay! The street on entry was beautiful, as was the building inside. The facilities were very clean and well kept, and quiet. It was close to everything inside the city, so was extremely convenient. The hosts were all wonderful, absolutely recommend this place!!

We loved to stay in this place, the location is perfect, you have the most important places to visit near and you can easily walk around, since minute 1 Marina made us feel welcomed and the people who work there were so nice, the food was perfect and the breakfast even better! I definitely recommend this places and I thinks it’s a excellent option to stay in Marrakech, the prices are totally fair and they’ll help you in anything you need

One of the best places I stayed in my life. The staff was super friendly and always available to help, the propriety was so beatiful, with an amazing balcony with many chairs for us to relax having the city view, and the room was perfect! Super espacious, amazing shower and super comfy bed. We'll definetly come back!

we absolutely LOVED our stay here! the host was so welcoming and the entire staff went out of their way to make you feel extremely welcomed. The homemade abundance of a breakfast was always appreciated. I’m still dreaming of the yogurt that they make there - so good!!! On top of it, our host had extremely GREAT recommendations for spots to eat and must see places in Marrakech. Our flight was also delayed and the road was kind enough to let us leave our luggage there and even has a spare large space for co-working. Stay here! You won’t regret it!!

Mon Riad is an understated gem of excellence with kind, thorough and professional staff. They provided unique tours with top notch teachers and guides. We were delighted to be able to relax with a bottle of wine, as many restaurants are "dry". Rooms were exceptionally clean with sweet amenities. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Perfekt tyst ställe att bo på i medinan. Lätt att nå (endast kort promenad från taxi in i den bilfria medinan) och korta promenader till de flesta sevärdheterna. Många restauranger i området. Italienskorna som driver riaden ger många goda råd om staden. Utan att vi hann fråga erbjöds vi tidig frukost, 04.30, eftersom vår transport till flygplatsen var 05.00. Mycket rent, bra personal, små men bekväma rum, synnerligen prisvärt!

O Monriad é uma ótima opção de hospedagem na Medina de Marrakech, no estilo "Riad". Desde o contato para agendar o transfer, recebemos toda a atenção. Fomos recebidos com nosso primeiro chá de menta marroquino. A localização é muito boa a poucos minutos de caminhada da praça Jemaa El Fna. O Monriad oferece todos os itens de conforto essenciais (ar condicionado split, banho quente, cama confortável) ao mesmo tempo em que preserva a decoração antiga das casas da Medina. A limpeza é diária. O café da manhã é típico e farto. Na primeira noite estávamos cansados e optamos por jantar no próprio Riad, foi meu primeiro tajine e estava delicioso. O staff é super atencioso e fornece todas as dicas que você precisa, inclusive reserva de passeios, massagens e aulas de culinária. Recomendo fortemente e será minha opção, quando retornar a Marrakech.

Das Riad liegt sehr zentral, aber trotzdem ruhig und unbehelligt vom Lärm der Mopeds, die durch die engen Gassen donnern. Die Haustür ist immer geschlossen, man muss klingeln oder klopfen, um eintreten zu können, was uns ein gutes Sicherheitsgefühl gab. Alle Mitarbeiter/innen sind sehr freundlich und bemüht, unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und vielfältig. Die Dachterrasse ist gemütlich, aber nicht so geräumig wie teilweise in anderen Riads, in denen es mehrere, auch überdachte, Sitzecken gibt. Als einziger Kritikpunkt könnte man das schwache WLAN-Netz vor allem in der 2. Etage erwähnen.

Mon Riad is a great hotel and we felt like we were staying in someone's home. The Riad is a in the heard of the Medina, but off a "side street" so its nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. The breakfast was also delicious. Room and bathroom were clean and in good condition. Overall we would highly recommend Mon Riad and stay here again .

The staff were extremely friendly and offered us complimentary mint tea and water on arrival. We were also provided with a map and directions to main attractions. The room is where it kind of went downhill. We were given room 9 which initially was nice as it was clean and kind of quirky with the shower in the room instead of the bathroom. However this didn't work out well because when you showered it would steam up the whole room and make the walls moist. Water would also leak out from one corner into the room. The toilet had a little shower pipe thing which also leaked, you had to close it really tight after use to avoid it flooding the bathroom floor. We ended up getting small blisters on our hand tightening it each time after use. To be honest these were all minor inconveniences as compared to the amount of noise and racket when we tried to sleep at night on the first night. Someone was talking really loudly in the downstairs patio area at around midnight and his voice could be heard all the way in our room on the second floor. Then at around 1 in the morning someone began dragging furniture across the floor on the roof which was above our room. I mentioned this to the staff the next morning and to be fair it did cut down and wasn't as bad for our remaining nights there. Another thing that annoyed me was that instead of providing us with a king-size bed as advertised, they just stuck two singled beds together (maybe thinking we wouldn't notice?).

We were so unhappy with this hotel that we left after one night even though it meant we would be losing payment for 3 more nights. The room was noisy, dirty, and in a state of disrepair and we had booked and paid for a superior room. This was the only negative experience we had with a riad or hotel during our 3 month visit throughout Morocco.

I found the hotel pleasant quite for resting slightly small but i did not mind ,they make you comfortable that what count for me ,the only thing i did not like has nothing to do with the hotel its using the street are dangerous with the madness of local peoples the way they drive their motorcycle. i certainly will visit them next time when going to Marrakesh.

Our first impressions of Monriad were not great but the manager of the riad went above and beyond to make our stay better and more comfortable. There was some confusion about the services that were included but they were quick to resolve the problems and help us out. We got an upgraded room that was nicer and bigger. The rooftop terrace had stunning views of the medina and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hired transport to and from the airport was not good. The driver did not help us with our bags or even greet us. Overall, the stay was great and we highly recommend this riad.

We arrived at Monriad extremely tired and disheveled. The staff paid for our petty cab (luggage man) and gave us the most delicious orange juice upon arrival. We were on the first floor of the courtyard and immediately felt at home. We enjoyed dinner cooked by their staff and a great bottle of wine as well. We wish our stay there was longer!

Amazing stay! Minor issues with plumbing with first room but were moved to another with no question. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is homemade and delicious. Love the patio on the roof. Great place to relax and spectacular view. A bit difficult to find upon arrival in the heart of the market but locals were eager to help us find it.

I spent four nights in this lovely little Riad. The place itself was very charming and comfortable. I enjoyed my room but I really enjoyed sitting by the fire in the living room each night with my glass of wine. The staff were very friendly and extremely attentive. I wanted for nothing that was not provided. This is truly a great value!

The Monriad was a lovely hotel conveniently located in the Marrakech Medina within an easy walking distance to the main shopping areas and Jemma El Fna. The hotel staff was very accommodating and provided my party with a delicious breakfast (with homemade yogurt and crepes) the morning we left on our timetable. It appeared that the Monriad is a family business and you could tell that the staff respected the property as if you were being invited into their home.

We stayed 4 nights at Mon Riad and we loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful, he had dinner at the Riad only in the last night, but we regretted because it was delicious... breakfast was very good and different everyday, with homemade yogurt.. it is located only 5 minutes to Jemaa el Fna square, it was tricky to find when we arrived, but then we had no problem walking around and finding our way back. I know exactly where I am staying in my next trip to Marrakech! :)

They organized a driver to pick us from the airport, provided excellent service, were extremely kind and helpful, and the MonRiad is a beautiful place to stay. Clean, warm, and great sized rooms. The food is fantastic! Only a 5 minute walk to the Medina. 5 stars in every category!

This Riad is located a 5 minute simple walk from the centre, Jemaa el-Fnaa. It's quiet in the evening and morning which was surprising. Unfortunately our room was top floor so we could hear the furniture being moved around on the roof terrace late at night and early morning. Unfortunately the water temperature and pressure fluctuated in the shower and tap one day but it only lasted an afternoon. Staff were frinedly and helpful. BEWARE: When you arrive men on the street will hassle you to let them show you the way, even when you know the way they will walk in front and then demand money. This is annoying. We gave one of them 20 dirhams (2 euros) and they told us it was worth nothing so best to not acknowledge them at all and give them nothing. They took ages to leave- obviously this is not anything to do with the hotel and is a problem throughout the area.

Stayed here with my husband for our wedding anniversary... Very warm welcome from all th staff. Everything we needed, was taken care of, all we had to do was ask... Although there was no TV, that made things more special because we were able to go out and explore. It was a home away from home. Although it was a 5 day trip we did the spa (Hammam), quad, and two day camel excursion. This was all booked by the Mon Riad staff with no hassal. We even got a complimentary gift courtesy of Mon Riad which was lovely. Will definitely be going back for longer next time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at MonRiad in March. It's a haven of peace and a perfect place to return to after immersing yourself in a busy and fascinating city. An added bonus is that it is in the medina and only a few minutes walk from Djemaa el-Fna, the main square where everything happens. It's very easy to find once you have been shown. The hospitality, the rooms and the breakfasts are all superb. An added bonus are the loungers and seats on the roof top, an ideal place for a spell of sunshine in peace. .

We had a wonderful stay in Monriad. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast they provide is traditionally Moroccan and freshly prepared, including homemade yoghurt. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable in addressing our queries about the city. We would have booked to stay some extra nights, but as they were fully booked, they helped us to find alternative accommodation at very short notice. They definitely enhanced our stay in Marrakech.
