Very clean, nice rooms. Location very convenient to explore the medina but also to get out elsewhere. The terraces are very nice and quiet and an excellent space to spend the evening. They have an amazing view of the medina. All the staff was great, they were very kind, attentive and welcoming and they were also very understanding with the eventualities that emerge when you travel with small kids (5 and 7). I fully recommend Riad Letchina.

I liked the hospitality of all the saff. Their true friendliness, and willingness to assist us in every possible way, so that we, the guests, could really feel that we were welcomed to their place (the Riad). When you leave the Riad Letchina, you have the feeling that you have gained new friends that would more than gladly receive you again, should you decide one day to visit Fez again in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful Riad within the ancient walls of Fes, convenient to the important sites and the souks, but away from the bustling heart of the Medina. Delicious breakfast (and dinner too), beautiful rooms and terrace, and exceptional staff, highly attentive to our questions and needs. Staff can help you plan transport and excursions. They made our visit to Fes forever memorable! Thank you!

The Riad was located on a quiet street. There was a five minute walk to the more active parts of the medina. The Riad was beautiful and very peaceful. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a roof top deck and other spaces to hang out in if you wanted to get out of your room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager arranged several last minute tours for us, which made our time in the city much more interesting. It was super convenient to eat dinner at the Riad Letchina and the food was pretty good. They have a laundry service for those needing to wash clothes. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Cons: If you have difficulty walking up and down stairs, this Riad might not be right for you.

The riad looks just like the photos. It was comfortable and had good facilities. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea, and the breakfast was very good. Fatima and Rashid, who work there, were so nice, welcoming, and helpful!

Cons: There was mold in the first room we stayed in. The owner is friendly but seems focused on making extra money. He tried to push a 40-euro per person Medina guided tour, claiming we would definitely get lost and making it seem like things would be very difficult, yet he offered us a free map of the city and marked our Riad. He also tried to push a 100-euro trip to Chefchaouen when he learned we were going there next. Be cautious—these prices are 4-5 times higher than what you’d pay for tours online or a bus to Chefchaouen. Do your research first.

We were dropped off by our driver and met by a person from the hotel who escorted us to the Riad. We were welcomed with Mint Tea and given the option to have dinner. The Riad also has the ability to book tours with the Medina of Fez with experienced guides. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is a wonderful view from the top showing just how complex the Medina is. The host was so kind and welcoming and helped my mom down the stairs to breakfast. This is an excellent place to stay in Fes, and I would highly recommend it. Thank you so much!

We were very happy with our stay and was met at the train station by Said. Checkin was very simple and Rashid carried our luggage to our roof top apartment, 52 steps up. Riad is on a quiet street no vehicle/scooter traffic. Dinner was very delicious upon arrival at a fee. Courtyard area is very nice and relaxing. No restaurants close by so this meal hit the spot. We were warned beforehand to be on the lookout for fraudsters on the train here from Marrakech, we encountered one that we had to say no to his invitations to help us, they look and initially act like normal passengers. Said and Rashid were both up at 4 am our day of departure to provide us some coffee and ride to the airport.

Oh this was one of the most beautiful places we stayed at in Morocco. It was built in the 11th century!! The architecture is incredible, beautiful, magnificent. Having breakfast and dinner in the common area felt so luxurious, and at the same time, it felt like being cared for in a home. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and took care of everything. They even gave us a driving tour of Fez on our last few hours of the trip. They set everything up for us, made sure our travel to the airport went seamlessly. We stayed in two different rooms, both of which were incredible in their own right. One had large vast and detailed ceilings and a private common area (it seemed suited for a group or a family) the other room had a beautiful bathroom and felt like a private getaway. The common area has a pretty garden, an area behind two large arches for coffee, tea, and lounging. It was centrally located in Fez, so everything was walkable. You will definitely get lost in the winding streets and alleys of old Fez, and the staff were helpful navigating that. We felt safe, taken care of, comfortable, and we left wishing we had more time to spend here.

It was a splendid little Riad tucked away down a tiny alleyway in the old town. Difficult to find without help. We hired a man with a luggage trolley to guide us which I’d really recommend. The accommodation and breakfast were both exactly what we’d hoped expected. Egg, bread and cake - along with jams and marmalades served with plenty of coffee. Only slight niggle was that I’d inadvertently booked for one person, not a couple. When I realised this I got in touch and corrected my mistake. The manager said this wouldn’t be a problem and he’d be happy to welcome him. But when we arrived there was apparent consternation about the extra person and a demand for more money (150 DAR) to cover the extra breakfast. It would have been preferable to have been told about this in advance. But as I say - only a minor annoyance. The staff were also good enough to arrange a taxi to take us to the train station.

The property was lovely, as was our room. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The breakfast was delicious and generous.

Cons: We did not like the tour that was arranged for us through the staff at the property. It completely soured our impression of our stay. We had traveled from Australia to enjoy the culture but found ourselves at the centre of a money making rort. I would highly recommend declining the offer of a tour that simply appears to be a way to extort money. The tour guides take you to places that charge 10 times more than you should be paying and that is after you negotiate down by half of the original asking price. It really is a cruel way to treat guests. Check reviews before going on any tours in Fes.

The scale of the old Riad
the ground floor was immense & very decorative.. the staff were charming & very helpful. Very clean; comfortable beds; excellent breakfast; great views from the top terrace. Excellent evening meals.

Cons: Our room was at the top of the building, several flights of narrow stairs.. just about ok for us in our mid-70’s, but a warning would be helpful. The bedroom was a little tired: all four walls are red ( some paint peeling ), so a little oppressive. Shower hose rusty & wobbly loo ( was immediately fixed when it leaked) Location wise - very quiet but felt a bit isolated & closed in by the very high walls of the surrounding buildings.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, it almost felt like we were visiting with extended family! The staff were professional, well-informed, kind, considerate and several of them spoke 3 or more languages, making our party of French and English speakers feel very comfortable. We had arranged to be met at the airport and poor Said had to wait an extra 2hrs for our late flight to arrive, yet remained friendly and in good humour none the less! Fatima - the cook - is a genius in the kitchen (we never even ate dinner at another place as the food was so good at 'home') and Said and Rashiid were always available and willing to help out if needed; we felt utterly spoiled. When we visited, it was quite hot and our riad, despite having no air-conditioning in the dining/seating areas, felt like a little oasis. The upstairs deck has a killer view and evening breeze to cool down with, and all the rooms have air-conditioning, so we were very comfortable. My only regret, is that there is no water source to dip your feet or take a plunge in, after a hot and dusty day - that would have been heavenly!

Cons: We were first-timers in Morocco, and traveling as a mixed group of children, adults and seniors, and were very pleased that Said could organise the tours we wanted to do through the riad. The tours themselves were all really great and well organised - the only real complaint I might have, is that some of the 'special places' we went with our guide, where we were assured we would not be harassed by sellers, were very touristy and bordering on in-authentic. I imagine there are visitors who enjoy a more sanitised version of the local culture/environment, but we would have enjoyed a bit more of the hustle and bustle of more local vendors I think. On the other hand, it was very hot weather and most, if not all, of the tourist places were air-conditioned, so that was appreciated.

Mohammed arranged an excellent guide to take us around Fez. I highly recommend that this is an option to take. Our room was was very comfortable and clean. We had lovely simple breakfasts each morning and chose to have one dinner in the Raid. My husband had the lamb tagine and I choose the Chicken, lemon and olive tagine, both meals were very tasty. Rashid was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Cons: There was nothing not to like.

Our stay at this riad with our friends was truly exceptional. The cleanliness of the place was impressive, and our room comfortably accommodated all four of us. The riad's location was conveniently situated, allowing us to explore the city easily. The breakfast provided was delicious and varied with Moroccan style. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making us feel valued as guests. Overall, this riad contributed significantly to making our trip a memorable one. Highly recommended.

The staff is absolutely lovely! They greeted us with some mint tea, the manager showed us the main attractions of the city on a map, along with very useful tips and personal suggestions. Food is tasty, breakfast just amazing. We loved every second of our stay!

Riad Latchina in Fes, Morocco is a stunning riad with exceptional service provided by staff, Said Hassim and Fathima. They went out of their way to ensure that we felt welcome and comfortable, offering great recommendations for things to see and do in Fes. Although we did not take a guided tour, they were very helpful in providing us with maps and directions to ensure we knew where to go and what to see. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the city. If you're looking for an authentic Moroccan experience in a tranquil setting, Riad Latchina is the place to stay.

Nice riad room on a floor that had a comfortable seating area for the two rooms there. Terrace provided nice view and the lobby area was very pretty. Extremely nice people. We reserved a dinner and it was excellent and the typical Moroccan breakfast was as well. Huge towels! Location was close to where driver could park so not a long walk.

Cons: Cannot think of anything.

Location in the Medina was very good as it allowed us walk and discover the Medina. Staff is very kind and ready to help. Breakfast and dinner are possible on site with home made and prepared meals. Room has air conditioned, comfy beds for our family, large bathroom. Amenities in the room are sufficient. Area is safe and quiet. Transfers to/from the airport can be organised

Cons: for our departure, we asked for transfer but there was nobody at departure time. owners are reachable by phone which allowed to have things back on track.

Best Stay we had in Morocco hands down! Everything was perfect, Said and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the Riad is filled with such charm and care and you feel and see that at every turn. We had the family room, again everything was great clean and comfortable, with a great hot shower. Also everything is as advertised if not better from the photos when booking, which i find is often not the case with a lot of other bookings, i appreciate that. I would highly recommend Riad Letchina to anyone looking to stay in Fes.

Cons: Not so much something we didnt like but, for anyone who has trouble with stairs, there are quite a few here, just a heads up. Otherwise loved everything!

The staff could not have been more helpful. They were so friendly and made sure to attend all our needs. They organised tours and booked restaurants for us. As a group of young women, they ensured we felt safe in the city by always offering to walk us to places in the Medina and pick us up in the evening. They booked taxis for us as well.

It was a very pleasant stay in Riad Letchina. The room was cozy and warm. Great view from the terrace, steady Internet, and varied nice breakfasts. All you need in a hectic place like Fes. Nice location (about 7 minutes from the main hustle and bustle of the Medina). Very friendly staff made the stay even more great. Can totally recommend as a place to stay in Fes.

This is a wonderful old Riad with its beginning in the 14th century. Steep stairs lead down from the street to the main floor and others lead to the guest rooms on various levels and all the way up to the panoramic view point on the roof. We were there in the end of January 2023 while Fùs suffered through an unusually cold spell. These old Riads are designed to be well ventilated in the heat of summers and although the room had a reversible split pack to heat and cool, our few days at Riad Letchina were a good reminder how spoiled we are to have a well climatized home. On the other hand, how spoiled must we be in this era of climate change? The staff at Riad Letchina makes up for all idiosyncrasies! Truly welcoming and eager to help us plan our days in and around Fùs, organizing excellent tours by car and by foot. The Riad is a small alley or two away from commerce which makes for a lovely quite experience and thanks to Fatima’ excellent cooking we enjoyed quite dinners “at home”. We could not have asked for anything else!

The acommodation is in a wonderful building, recently renovated to high quality in a traditional style. The location is good, close to many places of interest such as the tannerys. We took a Petit Taxi from near Fes train station, agreeing a fare of 20 dirams to the Bab Ziat Old City Gate and took a short walk to the location, but 'door to door' pick up can be arranged. On arrival, the owners and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, asking for our interests and providing a useful local map. There are options to engage local guides, but we chose our own walking routes and locations to visit (it's a good idea to download Fes as an off line map on Google maps for navigation without using roaming data - it's easy to get lost in the medina but that's part of the experience). We were fortunate to have a room on the excellent roof terrace which was spacious, well decorated and very clean. There was strong WiFi throughout the safe and secure acommodation. An excellent breakfast is provided with option for a tasty evening meal (payable in cash when settling on departure - credit card in Dirhams can be used to settle for acommodation) in a beautiful dining area. The management are happy to receive WhatsApp messages to the phone numbers on their website for booking requests and queries etc. Thanks to Said, Fatima, Rashid & Mohammed for your attention and hard work.

the Riad is beautiful and authentic in a peaceful lane in the old city overlooking the medina. I had a room on the rooftop which was spacious and nicely decorated. Though quite cold for this time of the year. Had to snuggle up under the blanket or getting a hot shower. Thanks to Rasheed who is the quiet angel of the house. And to Fatima and Mohammed too.

Cons: No heating in the room, it was only 3 degrees in the morning. đŸ„¶

the riad is really nice and not far from the blue gate that can be reached by a short walk of 5-10min it has a nice and relaxing terrace from which you can admire the old Medina of Fez. what makes this riad so special is the excellent service of Rachid, Fatima and Said that will make this place your home far from home. we enjoyed so much the quiet and relaxing atmosphere that we decided to have dinner at the riad every night, since Fatima dishes are great. in case you’re traveling during winter time, you will find hot water and heating system to make you staying comfortable.

What an amazing experience! When we first arrived we were warmly greeted and asked about what plans we had in Fez. Mohammed helped set up our guides for our day trips, all of which were amazing. The staff genuinely cared that we had the best stay possible and would ask about our day when we got back. The place itself is beautifully decorated and each room has its own balcony to enjoy the courtyard or views of the Fes Medina. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Our stay was great. Of all the cities that we visited we enjoyed this raid the best. The staff was a one or two man show which made the experience personable. The location is a little off the beaten path which is nice and quiet but so,we hat difficult to find if you have any difficulties navigating through the maze of the Medina's 9000 "streets". About a 5-10 minute walk from the blue gate if you have a good sense of direction and a good map. The raid will give you a map but it could be better. We ended up buying a tourist map that was very helpful. Overall an excellent stay and a very pleasant staff and owner.
