Riad Idra is a great place to stay, a real oasis of calm amid the hustle of the Medina. It’s beautifully appointed with very comfortable rooms and roof top terrace. The staff are amazing - very warm and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing comfortable stay in the heart of the Medina

The location was amazing - hard to find at the start (we would have done better to book a transfer with them so they could have met us), but so well located for walking everywhere. I went with my (fit!) 80+ year old mother and we felt so safe - it was so well placed for walking to the souks and Medina, and then coming back easily whenever we needed a break. The staff were AMAZING! Everyone was so lovely and helpful, and Karine is a font of knowledge. We had a lot of questions, not just about trips and restaurants but also about the culture, and it was so interesting talking with her and the other staff. Karine had a knack for figuring out what we might enjoy and did a great job of booking things that were just right. The breakfast was set, but it changed every day, and it was all delicious. We tried dinner one evening and that was wonderful! The rooms were so quiet, amazing considering how central it is, and the bed was very comfortable. All very clean and well looked after. We didn't get to experience breakfast on the terrace because it was too cold when we were there, but we enjoyed sitting there at other times when it was warmer - very peaceful. Couldn't recommend it enough - if/ when we come back, we'll definitely stay there again!
Cons: Nothing!

This is an amazing riad. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, so much so that they even offered to go into town to buy something we needed. The rooms are very nice and tastefully decorated. The food was excellent and prepared fresh each day using local ingredients. We also used the spa twice, and both experiences were outstanding. One of the things that impressed me most was how quiet the riad was, which is especially remarkable given how noisy the medina can be. The location is very good, and they will pick you up from the airport and walk you to the riad, which we especially appreciated since we were unfamiliar with the medina. I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about this riad. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time in Marrakesh and couldn't have picked a better place to stay! The riad was tucked in on side street but just steps away from the Dar Bacha. The moment you step int the inside patio is like being transported to another place entirely. Everyone working at the riad was wonderful with a special shout out to Omar (who makes wonderful mint tea, took care of us during breakfast and dinner) and Karine (who made our stay go smoothly). We switched rooms during the stay due to availability and had a chance to confirm they are all elegantly decorated with attention to detail which we loved. We enjoyed a very complete breakfast on the roof terrace and had dinner at the riad on our first night.... definitely recommend!! We also booked the hammam one morning and had a massage and would do t again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I recently spent 5 days at Riad Idra. The experience was excellent from booking to check out! Karine and her team were so helpful and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The location in the heart of the Medina is ideal. Riad Idra was like a beautiful oasis in the bustling Medina— once inside it was serene and quiet. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The common areas, particularly the rooftop, were so peaceful and relaxing. It was an intimate environment and the service was so personalized. Everyone on staff was pleasant and dedicated to out comfort. We were so happy with our choice to stay at Riad Idra!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riad Idra. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish — before arrival, throughout our stay, and even after departure. The team’s communication, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality truly made the experience seamless and special. THANK YOU Karine! The riad itself is beautiful — peaceful, elegant, and a perfect oasis in the heart of Marrakech. Our room was perfect: comfortable, stylish, and a relaxing retreat after exploring the Medina. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. What made the biggest impression was the staff. Every person we encountered was warm, pleasant, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their care and attentiveness made us feel valued as guests and added so much to the overall experience. We highly recommend Riad Idra and would absolutely stay here again.

The riad is absolutely beautiful – calm, elegant and immaculately maintained. The rooms are spacious and tastefully designed, with excellent facilities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive without ever being intrusive – nothing felt like too much trouble. The location is perfect: tucked away in the medina so it feels peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the souks and main sights. It feels like a private sanctuary after the buzz of Marrakech.

Fantastic in every way, from the moment we were met from taxi and escorted to the Riad, then greeted on arrival with mint tea and advice in the area etc - great location (quickly out into souks but Riad itself is quiet and calm) and lovely staff (courteous, helpful, friendly). We enjoyed every minute of our stay there, rooms; breakfast; everything. The souks are chaotic and we kept getting lost - but we still loved them!
Cons: We wished we had booked a longer stay. We loved everything about the Riad Idra

Wonderful breakfast, beautifully presented. We had to eat indoors due to the weather but the room was well appointed, the service exceptional and the variety of food just right.I understand it is served on the beautiful rooftop terrace when it is warmer. On arrival, the mint tea and individual attention to run through the map (highlighting places to go, suggesting restaurants, etc) was fantastic. Every query was answered without bother. Service from every member of staff was exceptional.
Cons: The weather which was completely outside of their control ! 🌞 The location is fairly hard to find even with online maps as the internet can be a bit sketchy. However there was little to complain about within the Riads control.

Beautiful Riad and great attention to the guest. Hamam treatment was nice. Much better than a hotel experince.
Cons: The central courtyard should be covered during the winter. It was rainy and very slippery and it was not possible to enjoy this beautiful area. Many other riads cover the courtyard so it should be possible. They never put the fireplace on in the sitting room even though requested. The Hamam was not really very warm and steamy. But the treatment was very nice.

The location was extremely convenient to the Medina, visually it was very elegant and it was very peaceful inside! The staff sourced some cable ties for my luggage which was greatly appreciated!
Cons: The room was far too perfume-y upon check-in requiring quite some airing out! Small touches like refilling the dates for the second day were not done. For an expensive riad, this seemed strange. The front door to the room creaked terribly - this is minor but should be regularly checked and addressed. A driver was organized to the airport which was greatly appreciated but the large amount of tax payable was not disclosed. This was a very avoidable annoyance and required unexpected, last minute use of foreign currency (or credit card payment). Best to disclose this to avoid last-minute issues for guests.

The location was perfect for us, by the 3rd day we could find our way through the market to the medina from the Riad, you also have the option to avoid the market and walk along the roads by the wall . The room was beautifully decorated, fresh roses in the room and petals left on the bed with a message to wish me a happy birthday, spotless. Lovely small touches like the perfume, toiletries and complimentary slippers in the bathroom. The breakfast was really filling and delicious. The staff helped me find some honey that I wanted to bring back home, nothing was too much trouble and they genuine wanted our stay to be perfect. The deputy manager was fantastic, he suggested some great places to visit. We had the hamman and the relaxing massage, both excellent. Just a word of advise.. change your currency there, we didn’t know this was an option and got a rubbish rate at home. There are several money exchange shops near the Riad.
Cons: I am a light sleeper and every morning around 7am I could hear the staff setting up for breakfast in the terrace.

I’ve traveled extensively for both business and leisure, staying everywhere from budget hotels to high-end luxury properties across the world. Riad Idra is, without question, one of the best accommodations I have ever experienced. Easily in my top three. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a privilege to be a guest here. Karine and her team deliver a level of hospitality that is rare. Omar was an absolute delight every morning at breakfast, and Redouane was always helpful. Karine went above and beyond with every request, no matter how small. Their warmth and attention to detail shaped our entire stay. The Riad was excellently located and the in-room touches and amenities were exceptional, thoughtfully curated, and genuinely elevated the experience. We didn’t encounter a single issue before or during our stay, but I have no doubt that if we had, it would have been resolved immediately and with care. Riad Idra is the definition of 5-star hospitality. Five-star accommodations, five-star service, five-star staff. I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Marrakech. Simply superb.

My partner and I had a lovely time at the Riad Idra. The service was phenomenal, setting and accommodations were lovely, and the location extremely walkable and generally convenient. A riad employee even met us by the taxi station to lead us to the riad at our arrival and the host gave us plenty of helpful information for our visit including help reserving dinners. The room was cozy, very clean and decor was stunning with every last touch perfected even including fresh dates and flowers. Showers were nice and hot. The breakfasts were also filling and delicious. I would highly recommend Riad Idra for an intimate and authentic Morrocan riad experience.

We stayed at Riad Idra for two nights from November 4 to November 6. I wish we would have stayed 20 nights there! It was the most pleasant experience of our entire trip in Morocco. The location is great for shopping and sightseeing. The employees are helpful and most courteous. The porters met us at the taxi and helped carry our luggage to the Riad. We were met at check in with peppermint tea and cookies. Karine went over all our plans with us when we arrived and helped us secure reservations for tours and dinners that would fill our needs. Our highlight was the Hammam and Massage done on premises with attendants arranged for by Karine. We must also give a shout out to Omar for serving us the most delicious breakfasts each morning. The Riad has clean, quiet rooms and provides a good value for the amount paid. I would recommend them for any visit to Marrakech.

This is a great place to choose for a stay in Marrakesh. It is in the heart of the Medina, steps from the craziness and beauty of the Souks, but a calm and comfortable haven to return to. We loved our room, and enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the roof terrace, as well as relaxing up there at the end of the day. Karine and her staff were exceptional - nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful. Definitely book an airport taxi through the hotel as you get dropped off a short walk away and you will need their help to find the riad on day one. We would not hesitate to recommend the Idra to anyone looking for an authentic riad stay in a perfect location.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport the Riad Idra felt like a hidden gem. The staff greeted warmly and made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable, stylish and very clean. Additionally, the staff cleaned and straighten the room several times a day. The location could not have been better as it is tucked away in a peaceful alley, within Marrakech city walls where we fell safe and yet close to all the attractions. Karine and her team went out of their way to accommodate every request we had. Our outing to the Atlas Mountains, arranged by Karine, was worth every penny. I would highly recommend this Riad to anyone wanting to have a great time in Marrakech.

Riad Idra was a wonderful experience from the personal welcome from the manager to the room, the quiet interior and roof deck, to the staff, and the food. Its location is ideal to exploring all areas within the medina and easy, quick access to a drop off point where taxis are parked to quickly take you to areas outside the medina. This couldn't have been better for a first time in Morocco and a medina.

Location: navigation inside the Medina is tough, but the Riad is close to Bacca cafe, the palace and the big road which is very convenient when you want a taxi. The host and crew are both helpful and sublime. Breakfasts are served in the lovely rooftop, are full and delicious and our pre-ordered dinner is just as wonderful. The room was beautiful and fully equipped.
Cons: Unbeknownst to us, the souk doors close approximately 10pm and it can feel uneasy at night even though the Medina area is relatively safe during the date. In one night, We manage to get thru the souk doors after 10pm (a scary experience by the way) and reach the Riad but no one opens the Riad door for us. the staff goes outside responding to another guest’s request. Perhaps more staffing in the nighttime would be helpful.

The hospitality is top notch. The staff goes above and beyond to make your staff comfortable. You feel like you are constantly attended to. The breakfast was delicious and slightly alternates everyday which I liked. The room is immaculate. The hotel even gives you some slippers to use and take home with you. The cleaning staff will come and clean your room while you're out for the day and then comes again while you're at dinner to prep your bed before you sleep. Service is surreal. Anything you need ask the staff. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Great rooftop, not much of a view but it's beautiful up there. There is no pool, but if that matters to you, you can visit a spa with a pool for the day. The hotel is very close to Bacha Coffee and Jardin Secret. About a 20 min walk to the end of the Medina to see Sadiaan tombs, Bahia Palace, and El Badi Palace. Great place to stay! Highly recommend.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, also with making external reservations. They cleaned the room whenever we exited and it was always clean. We unfortunately did not have the chance to have dinner there, but the breakfast was amazing. They even packed us breakfast on one of the days when we had to get up early. The location is right in the center of the Medina in a really nice neighbourhood. I would definitely book here again!

Being our first trip to Marrakech, we enjoyed the riad experience: an oasis from the chaos outside the door in the Medina. Riad Idra’s staff was super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast on the rooftop terrace very nice. The room was quite large and comfortable. They arranged an afternoon trip for us to Agafay which was one of the highlights of our stay in Morocco.

Our stay at Road Idra was perfect. From the moment we walked through the door Karine and her team made us feel so welcome. We were greeted with fresh mint tea, pastries and lemon towels to freshen up, and then Karine sat with us and talked us through he sites of Marrakesh giving us may invaluable tips. Our room, Warda, was beautifully furnished with many luxurious touches. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a lovely experience - the food was plentiful and always fresh. We also ate dinner twice (an optional extra) and the chef was flexible in accomodating my taste. A special thank you to Younes - our wonderful waiter. The Riad is in a perfect location for exploring the sites of the medina. We booked a guide through Karine, which we would recommend highly. We saw many of the sites, and it was always a pleasure to come back "home" to relax in the beautiful surroundings. We would not hesitate in recommending Road Idra to anyone wanting to visit this amazing city.

Riad Idra and staff exceeded our expectations. My husband and I are world travelers and our stay here was unlike any other. When we arrived, a member of the crew greeted us at the entry of the medina and carried our bags to the Riad. Karine warmly welcomed us and brought us to the majestic courtyard to enjoy homemade mint ice tea and pastries while she checked us in and showed us a map of the area and discussed our interests while for our Moroccan stay. She kindly made reservations for our dinners at the Riad and outside. Our room was enchanting. I enjoyed resting on our window seat listening to the birds and looking down at the courtyard. Cleanliness and comfort are a high standard at Riad Idra. The complementary breakfast was 5 star quality. I generally do not enjoy pastries in the morning however their homemade pastries were favorite of mine. Eating breakfast and dinner on their rooftop set a nice ambiance for our meals and it was wonderful to enjoy the fresh air and incredible smells the city offers up. We booked a session at the Hammam followed by a massage. This was our first hammam and I'm not sure how I've lived without them before. Truly a local custom that should be trialed and could not think of a more comfortable, clean, and private place to have one (especially your first) than here. 10/10 would recommend Riad Idra to anyone traveling to Marrakech who wants to feel like royalty.

The property is beautifully decorated with pleasant neutral colours and very artful decor. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable and the hosiery plush. The toiletries are a pleasant surprise which I won’t spoil! Particularly the perfumes. The staff is extremely helpful, very thoughtful and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Always with a quick smile and always anticipating what you may need, they are extremely accommodating in any requests you may have. The spa and massage is highly highly recommended. The terrace breakfast is absolutely top notch. Great courtyard space and a cute little library to lounge in. Short walk from almost ever important tourist spot in Medina.

Truly wonderful place to stay. The entire riad is very serene. A welcome break from the craziness of the medina. My room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were a little firmer than what I'm used to in the US, but that's kinda just what happens when travelling abroad. I only ate breakfast in the mornings, but everything I had was delicious. Breakfast included orange juice, coffee/tea, a fruit cup, yogurt, a few pastries, eggs, and an assortment of Moroccan breads. As someone who usually has a smoothie for breakfast, this was way more than I'm used to eating. The entire staff was great. Amine was super helpful checking in and gave great advice around how to go about seeing the sites. Karine was super helpful in picking restaurants for me and arranging transportation. Omar provided some of the best service I've ever experienced. Everyone was super nice and I felt completely at ease as a solo traveller. The location was ideal. It's located on the northern side of the Medina, super close to Dar El Bacha museum and Bacha Coffee. It's pretty close to Avenue El Glaoui, which means it's pretty easy to get to a cab if needed. Overall, Riad Idra really made my stay in Marrakesh memorable. Definitely recommend for a 5-star experience. I would love to go back sometime.

A Hidden Gem in Marrakesh - Highly Recommend! I had the pleasure of staying at Rid Idra in Marrakesh and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, Karine and her team were incredibly helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. They made us feel so welcome and ensured our stay was perfect in every way. A special shoutout to Nora, who gave the most amazingly relaxing massages – truly a highlight of our trip! And Omar deserves a special mention too; his attentive service was top-notch. We missed him when he was off for the day! The breakfast on the terrace every morning was a delight, always fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed a couple of fantastic dinners at the in-house restaurant, which were equally impressive. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Marrakesh, yet it feels like a peaceful oasis tucked away down a charming little tunnel off the souk. It was the ideal spot for both exploring the city and escaping to tranquility after a busy day. The hotel was clean and well-maintained throughout our stay, with two housekeeping services each day. - And the slippers provided during our stay were just too cute (seriously, the best hotel slippers I’ve ever had), and we were even able to take them home! I would absolutely recommend Rid Idra to anyone visiting Marrakesh. It’s a hidden gem that combines the best of both worlds: great location, exceptional service, and a peaceful atmosphere. Don’t miss out on this wonderful place!

Marrakech was high on my bucket list and I did loads of research on where to stay but I kept coming back to this one Riad. The reviews on this site were excellent and so were other reviews I found. I had high expectations based on these reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. Once I’d made my booking communication with the Riad was excellent with suggestions for trips, organising an airport pickup and arranging dinner for the first night. I was met at the airport on time and at the drop off point in the edge of the Medina by a member of staff who guided me on the short walk to the Riad. I was greeted by Kerine, the manager, and Omar served mint tea and Moroccan pastries. The central courtyard is stunning as was my room. Dinner on the first night was outstanding as was the breakfast each morning. The Riad is ideally situated close to the souks but also a quiet haven away from the noise and bustle of the Medina. The service from Kerine and her team was exemplary. If you are looking for a place to stay in Marrakesh you won’t do any better than Riad Idra. I loved it so much I’m going back next year.

This Riad was a highlight of our trip. So beautiful and calm. Breakfast on the roof was heavenly. The food in general was some of the best on our trip. The staff is present but not intrusive. I loved the decor. Absolutely thought out to every detail. The guides arranged by the hotel were perfect. It seemed to me that Marrakech has gotten a little over-touristed, but the guides help you to see the things that interest you. No guide is needed for the Jardin Majorelle and the YSL. Just remember to get your ticket a few days in advance, and use a cab to get there. The Berber Museum in the Jardin is a gem. Also the Dar el Bacha museum very near the Riad was well worth a visit.

Amazing place with great service. It's amazing how an enviroment can change just crossing a single door of a Riad. From a chaos or narrow streats to a the feeling of staying in an Urban Oasis.
Cons: Nothing to mention. But be aware that a Riad is an special and smaller hotel, so don't expect a buffet like or 1000 diferent breakfast options. Just relax and enjoy as the quality of what is served is great.

My husband and I stayed in this stunning riad for a week to celebrate my 82nd birthday. It was simply the best accommodation we have ever stayed in anywhere. Karine and all the staff were very professional but also very welcoming, helpful and attentive and literally couldn't do enough for us. On one occasion, they made a reservation for dinner for us at a nearby restaurant and because I wasn't confident that we could find it, Abdelfettah walked us there and was quite happy to come back for us later if we needed him. As it happened, we were fine coming back but nice to know there was help available if we needed it. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and toasty warm which was very welcome as it was quite chilly in the mornings and evenings. On my birthday, we came back to our room after a day out to find 'Happy Birthday Gail' spelled out across my bed with letters made out of plant leaves and scattered rose petals. Such a lovely surprise! I can't recommend this lovely riad highly enough - the attention to detail is evident everywhere. The central courtyard is delightful with comfortable seating and a beautiful water feature and is an oasis of calm. Shukran to everyone at Riad Idra for making my birthday trip so memorable!

It was an exceptional experience. High end and luxury doesn't mean more and more, but the love for the details, the comfort and well being of the guests. It was simply perfect how we were pampered and taken care off. The team did an amazing job in making us feel at home. From the moment we had a first call (how to get rid of our car) to the last moment of farewell, we were treated like kings.
Cons: There isn't much to say on the negative side.

Best Riad in town: perfect location ( very safe, just near one of the kings palaces, at the beginning of the souk, very central, footwalking distance to all sites) quiet, fantastic rooftop, outstanding kitchen ( a heaven for gourmets) and incredible caring hosts... the whole team is amazingly outstanding just a gem....we will return in November Inshallah :) Thanks to all in the team who gave us a once in a lifetime experience: Shukran to Nezha, Ouafa, Asma, Rokia, Omar, Youness, Fettah, Redouane, Naima, Mohamed, Abdssamad and Karine!!!! The best Riad in town We came here every day for relaxing from adventurous wandering in the medina.

I booked this place as I’d never seen a hotel with such a high rating (9.8/10) and can now say for myself that this Riad is certainly worthy of such a high rating. Everything is immaculate and thought out, the breakfast is fantastic, and the entire Riad is a tranquil oasis in the bustling market area. The Riad can also book good day trips for you as I couldn’t be bothered trying to find a non-scam tour provider. The Atlas Mountains trip we went on (booked through the Riad) was absolutely fantastic and I cannot reccomend enough!

Our stay at Riad Idra was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above & beyond to ensure we had the most comfortable & enjoyable experience. They were incredibly friendly, helpful & couldn’t do enough for us, always ready to offer advice, arrange transfers & assist with restaurant reservations. They even provided us with a map and highlighted points of interest for us to explore during the day. The Riad itself is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan architecture & modern luxury. Our room was beautifully decorated & the attention to detail was evident throughout, from fresh flowers to the thoughtful touch of heating our room before we returned in the evening, ensuring we were greeted with comfort after a day of exploring. The location is ideal, nestled in the heart of the medina, just a short stroll from all the major attractions, yet peaceful and serene once you step inside. It was the perfect base for exploring Marrakech. The breakfast each morning was a highlight — fresh, flavourful & plenty of choice. We also dined in the evening & were thoroughly impressed by the delicious Moroccan food. The entire property was spotlessly clean & we were consistently impressed with the level of attentiveness. Overall, Riad Idra is an oasis of calm and luxury in the heart of Marrakech. We cannot recommend it highly enough. A big thank you to Karine & her wonderful team who are ALL amazing! We had the best time! Claire & Matt

I recently stayed at Riad Idra in the heart of Marrakech’s old town, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, Karine, the incredible hotel manager, made us feel right at home, offering valuable advice on must-visit spots and personally organizing guided tours in Marrakech and its surroundings. The riad itself is a sanctuary of elegance and comfort, maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness. The staff were discreet, polite, and always ready to assist. They struck the perfect balance of being attentive yet never intrusive. One of the highlights was the food—a must-try experience in the riad. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, setting a wonderful tone for the day. We also tried their dinner, which was exceptional. Each dish was crafted from fresh, same-day market ingredients. Be sure to book in advance; the meals are worth every bit of planning. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make the day extra special. Thanks to their efforts, it was a memorable celebration. If you’re planning a trip to Marrakech, I highly recommend Riad Idra. We’re already looking forward to returning!

From the airport pickup to the drop off at the train station, our stay was absolutely perfect ! Exquisite decor , comfort, and quietness amid the frenzy of the Medina. Karine and her wonderful staff were amazing - the perfect hosts. The attention to detail was evident in the room decor and amenities, as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the Riad staff. Karine arranged a wonderful private guide to visit the Medina. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, architecture, art and people that make Marrakech so special. Highly recommend. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was wonderful… ample and varied. Treat yourself to dinner as well - our best meal in Marrakech , the riad chefs are outstanding !

Thanks to Riad Idra, we had the best stay in Marrakech. The location was very convenient for going anywhere, the room was clean and nicely decorated, and most of all, the staff were very warm and welcoming. All in all, it was an unforgettable four days for our family of four. We will never forget the iced mint tea we had in the courtyard and the delicious tajine omelette that changed every morning. Also, thank you so much for the amazing hospitality from recommending and making reservations for restaurants and booking hammams even though our requests were all short notice. Our first time visit to Marrakech has by far exceeded our expectation and the main reason is because of Riad Idra had taken such great care of us so that we could enjoy our stay as comfortably as possible. We have never had such an impressive stay in all our travels. Definitely go again! Thank you for the best hospitality!!

The hotel is really picturesque, clean and cosy! Perfectly situated so you can step outside and start exploring the many stores around the medina. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and sitting in the reading room on the roof to escape the heat. There are some cute cats that may sit with you too. The team there was always helpful, and the manager, Karine, very kindly ensured we had our bearings, got us a wifi egg, and even arranged for us to have an early check-in. We couldn't be more grateful, and would happily stay here again!

We had the most amazing experience at Riad Idra and could not have asked for a better stay! It was our first time in Marrakesh and our first time at a Riad. Karine and the team were simply the best! When we arrived, they welcomed us with fresh iced mint tea. Karine sat down with us, gave us tips about the best places to visit nearby, and even helped us reschedule a booking we were late for. The riad was spotless! It was clean, beautiful, and like a little paradise with so many amazing details. It is located in the heart of everything, just a few minutes' walk from many attractions. Our room was very clean and tidy, showing how much care and love they put into everything. There was even perfume we could use in our room, a treat of dates, and the staff were extremely helpful with everything. Unfortunately, we only stayed for two days, so we did not get to eat there or use the hammam, but we will definitely stay at Riad Idra again when we visit Marrakesh. I have traveled to many places and stayed in many hotels, but this experience, especially the warm welcome and hospitality, will stay in my memory forever.

The Breakfast was excellent with Egg Tagine, yoghurt, croissants and bread - very peaceful, eating it on the roof. The owner could not be more helpful and managed to find somewhere for us to eat late at night with excellent food. The rooms are spacious and clean and decorated beautifully, they looked after our bags when we went out for the day and helped with the taxi. The location was also very good for walking to see everything. All in all I could not fault Riad Idra and would highly recommend it.

The hotel is like an oasis in the crowded noisy medina, so you can step from hot buzzy market into a peaceful, fragrant heaven. The Riad is beautiful and being taken good care of, the staff was attentive, I can tell everyone is taking pride of what they do and put their heart into it. Karine is managing the Riad with so many attention to details and was super organised and caring. The room - it was not my first choice judging by internet photos but when I am actually there, it is spacious, nice facilties and super comfy large bed. The painting was huge! (maybe that's why the bed in contrast looks small in the photos) We've been constantly offered hot/cold mint tea and yummy sweets every time when we come back. The breakfast on the rooftop - I stayed 2 nights and every morning we were offered different kind of egg tagine(still bubbling when being served), along with all the continental breakfast items like fruit and yoghurt, traditional and bread and baguettes. Omar made sure we sit perfectly in the shade, moving such heavy parasol regardless of his age. Thanks a lot! Reception - the best receptionists who looked after us all the way. They recommended dinner place and even got us the same day reservation. They helped us to plan the massage and hamam timely to our existing schedule, contacted our desert trip provider to make sure we get picked up on the nearby meeting point, appreciate all the effort you guys put into it!
Cons: Can you open another Riad like this please - I would like to stay there, once is not enough!

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at this charming accommodation. The management displayed an extraordinary level of attentiveness and kindness that genuinely enhanced our experience. The staff's warmth and friendliness made us feel deeply welcomed and appreciated. Each corner of the riad is a testament to exquisite taste, with an interior design that marries beauty with comfort seamlessly. Moreover, the entire place was impeccably tidy and clean. An unexpected surprise was the lovely decoration in our room for my wife's birthday—a thoughtful gesture that touched us deeply, especially as we hadn't mentioned the occasion. It was truly a memorable stay.

This was the first time for me to stay in a riad , and i was lucky to choose riad idra.. i like everything in the property.. The location was in the middle of souq but near the good shops.. breakfast was good.. the staff so polite and helpful.. I choose aliya room, i think it was the biggest room in the riad, it was lovely with perfect view to the patio ..
Cons: Just only one thing, I asked for an iron and an iron table. They bring a small iron table which was weird to work with.. then they took the iron the next day while cleaning the room , and I asked for it again , and they took it the next day , and I asked for it again .. 3 times I asked for the iron , which was annoying.. apparently they don't have enough for all rooms..

Riad Idra is located in the perfect spot in the heart of the Medina. The Riad itself is like an oasis, it was calm and relaxing and the ideal place to cool down after a day out in the heat - the amazing air conditioning helped! We stayed in the Aliyah suite, which was exactly as lovely as it is in the pictures. The housekeeping team were incredible, so efficient and their attention to detail was amazing. The food was delicious, with breakfast each morning being a highlight. This was served on the gorgeous roof top terrace, with impeccable service provided by Omar. The whole team at the Riad were just amazing and made our stay a delight - nothing was too much trouble, they even helped arrange a currency exchange for us as we were unsure of where to go. Their tips on what to see and do, and how to manage our trip safely were invaluable. I have already recommended Riad Idra to friends and family.

I had a wonderful stay at Riad Idra. Karina and Abdessamad made me feel right at home. Even though my flight landed at midnight and I didn't reach the Riad until after 1230am, I was still served hot mint tea and pastries as a kind welcome. The following day, Abdessamad showed me a map of Marrakech and described all of the main points of interest to me and their proximity to the Riad. Abdessamad also made some recommendations for sightseeing. My room was gorgeous and showed the character and culture of Marrakech. It was very clean and had all of the essentials. There was even a plate of fruit and bouquet of flowers for me in the room upon my arrival. The Riad was easy to locate. Although the road is too small for cars to pass through, the drop off point is very close - only a 3 mins walk. The location is excellent. It is a 10 mins walk to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa. There is also a jazz club with a rooftop (La Pergola) within walking distance - 15 mins. There is a hammam located on the property. I went in for a 60-min massage and it was fantastic. I walked out of there feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Riad Idra and would highly recommend for anyone visiting Marrakech. I will be back!

The king-size bed and linens are great. The breakfasts were good and located on the rooftop. You can stay in bigger fancier hotels outside the Medina, but you will not receive a tenth of the service you will receive here and enjoy the Medina experience as much.

We had a fabulous stay at Riad Idra. Service was top class from the moment of booking. The Riad is beautiful and a perfect oasis in the middle of the Medina. We felt like we were house guests. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly and professional. The food in the restaurant, served on the beautiful roof top terrace, was of an exceptionally high standard. We preferred the food in the Riad to the top restaurant, La Sultana. Great value too The roof terrace is beautiful if you have time to chill. We highly recommend this Riad. We had an excellent guide around the Medina and also on our trip to the Altas Mountains. Both excellent and both arranged by the Riad.It made our trip to Marrakech very memorable. Absolutely loved everything about this Riad!

1) Location. 2 minutes walking distance from the drop off place, and easy in/out of Marrakech. A straight road in front of the Riad Idra leads you all the way to the big square. The Riad is also 2 minutes away from the Les Jardin Secret Garden and if lost, every local will know how to direct you to get there. Among confusing and intimidating networks of narrow alleys in Medina, one will deeply appreciate this straightforward location. 2) Above and beyond facilities. Pictures can’t show the tranquility, freshness and astonishing beauty of the place. The owner thought about every small detail of this 5-star luxury place. Real size of Chanel perfumes on vanity, leather slippers souvenir and too much and too good rooftop breakfast under the limon flower trees, accompanied by singing and flying birds. 3) People. It is a safe place for tourists to relax and enjoy a great time. All extra services are the real costs without markups. Everyone working there is honest, kind and trying very hard to meet guests’ needs. The owner works there and treats tourists like honorable guests at her own home. This is a place one would come back, again and again.
Cons: Nothing.

Very pretty building, in a good location, The food was very good and we tried local Moroccan wine for the first time. The best part however was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They really made you feel at home.
Cons: The only complaint would be the soundproofing between our room and the room next door but this could have been because it had a connecting door.

We enjoyed staying here. The staff from the beginning to the end was really helpful. The room was large and the facilities in it was good. The decoration especially in the terrace was fine and calming..

Absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, a real treat to experience, amazing how transformative it feels compared to the bustling souks right outside. Although the riad is actually located in a slightly quieter part of the souk which is great. The staff were incredibly helpful with tips about traveling through Marrakech and the souks - how to enjoy the Moroccan experience fully. the Hammam in the riad is amazing as well and the morning breakfast with tagine is to die for - on the terrace rooftop with a beautiful fountain. Shukrun for everything and we will definitely be back!

Riad Idra was exceptional. We were so happy when the porter opened the door to our room. It was an extremely tasteful room slightly modern meet traditional Moroccan design. The bed was so comfortable (awesome shower, the bathroom was completely updated, and everything was immaculate and clean. There were lovely apricots, dates and gigs in the room with a beautiful bouquet of roses. We had dinner our first night and the chef prepared the most tasty perfectly cooked sea bass - as good as any 5 star restaurant. The entire staff was SO friendly and kind. The manager Karine is amazing. Just for her you can accept the small issues and stay there. She takes every step to ensure that your stay is absolutely comfortable. If you are going here think of it as a house that you are staying. No phone in the room, or fan for the washroom, really old washroom require some maintenance. But Riad is beautiful and charming. Moreover all staffs are amazing. They pretty much clean your room multiple times. I would recommend this property but consider it's a house not a hotel where you can place an order 24/7.

My honey and I, and another couple, recently spent 4 wonderful nights at the Riad Idra. Warm, friendly, inviting, comfortable, beautiful, are just a few words I would use to describe our experience. From the very first, being met outside the medina, being taken to where we would park our car, transporting our luggage and directing us to the Riad, and having mint tea and cookies in the Riad’s exceptionally beautiful courtyard, we loved it. Our wonderful hostess, Karine, ensured that we enjoyed our stay, from setting up early breakfasts to match our schedule, restaurant recommendations and reservations, dinners at the Riad, accommodating food preferences, setting up a full day tour of the medina, and for the ladies, a marvelous bath in the Riad’s hammam, followed by a relaxing massage. Karine and her staff, worked as a well organized team to make our stay very enjoyable. The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean, and very well appointed, facing out on the beautiful interior courtyard, with trees, fountains and birds, open to the sky above. The Riad Idra is a delightful experience, and one not to be missed if heading to Marrakech.

Even other guests were friendly on top of the hard working, friendly & helpful staff and owner. Karine is super and being welcomed with green tea or iced green tea gave us a chance to settle on arrival. this is a definite book ur way into the garden of Eden. we also appreciated that we leave our keys with management when we re out as it made us feel safer on the streets to not accidentally lose the room key in whatever way it could disappear. All i can say is BOOK NOW!

This was my first experience staying in a Riad! it was very lovely. the location is perfect, right in the Medina and walking distance to all the sites. The staff is amazing. Amin was on staff when we stayed for 2 nights and he made sure we were well taken care of. Gave us a helpful map and showed us where to go. Gave us great restaurant recommendations and helped us make reservations. The Riad itself is beautiful, an oasis from the craziness of the Medina. Our room was fairly large and had little touches that made it more comfortable. We loved that our bathroom had Chanel No. 5. The breakfast was one of the best parts. A large spread of home made yogurt, coffee, tea, fruits, assorted breads, cakes, pastries, fresh squeezed OJ and eggs. We had the Riad arrange a taxi to pick us up from the airport, which dropped us off at the nearest road. Someone from the Riad met us and helped us bring our suitcases. Which was really nice because we would have never found the hotel on our own. The location, the service and the food were all fantastic.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the comfortable Riad Idra in early June. We experienced planned services along with unexpected services as follows: Breakfast - excellent. Selection of pastries, delicious home made yougurt, fruit salad and a tangible. Dinner - also excellent 4 courses. The chefs are very talented. Housekeeping - room was spotlessly clean and tidy all the time. (There was turn down service.) The room - extremely comfortable and spacious. It was also quiet away from the noisy souks. The management - both managers were welcoming, gave good advice and very helpful. The hotel being small also felt very personal. The Spa - my wife and I had a hammam which was simply excellent. It was my first time and was a little nervous but it was an enjoyable experience. My wife had a massage and said she found it extremely relaxing. Night staff - I experienced food poisoning from lunch in the Souks. This led to “Delhi Belly” and a vagel. The night staff member helped by contacting a doctor who helped my situation. Overall, if you are thinking about booking a Riad is Marrekesh - just book - you won’t regret it!

This Riad is absolutely beautiful! The staff is so kind and beyond accommodating. We had a tour one morning that started before breakfast hours. They insisted on preparing the full, delicious breakfast for us! Wow! The Aliyah suite is large and comfortable (the bed is a quite hard), with a window perch for relaxing. One minor ding is the room gets quite noisy for us late sleepers, but no fault of the Riad. They even decorated for my husband’s birthday! Do yourself a favor and eat at least one dinner (we did more) in the dining room. The service is phenomenal and the chef is beyond amazing! Breakfast is also a treat! Beyond any hotel breakfast anywhere else. We would stay again in a heartbeat! From the serene courtyard to welcome/farewell tea to fresh roses everywhere and amazing staff, you won’t find a better oasis in Marrakech!

Very classy riad on the outskirts of the Medina. It seems like it was built more recently, though perhaps it was remodeled but the rooms are great. You get free slippers when you arrive, which is a great touch. Breakfast was great. It can be hard to find the entrance the first time, but they usually have someone from the hotel on the main street nearby to direct you, though we didn’t realize he worked for the hotel and ignored him thinking he was trying to sell us something. They also have someone that’s around the door/alley at night which makes the space feel safer.

I travel quite a lot and this is in the top tier of places I have stayed. The Riad is beautiful and a restful oasis in what can be the frenetic pace of the medina. The staff is perfect. We also did the hammam in the Riad and it was a wonderful experience.

Love the style, the decor and openness of the layout. It was modern but still had the traditional feel to the Riad. The roof top lounge area was also delightful, however it was bee season so having breakfast up in the lounge wasn’t comfortable for me. The hammas (steam & massage room) was also lovely. We indulged in the mud clay body scrub and a 30min massage afterwards. My only complaint with the treatment was, it would have been better if we were given eye pads when the lady was giving us a facial to avoid getting the facial scrub in our eyes. Staff were absolutely delightful (Omar especially- so helpful and warm, he was great and accommodating to our needs. Thanks again Omar😊). The surrounding area was also outstanding- shops, eateries and a short walk to the main square. Very very pleased with our choice and stay there. I highly recommend Riad Idra. Simply beautiful

In a great location to navigate the Medina. This Riad is a jewel of a property well maintained by its excellent staff. Needless to say, our stay was wonderful.

We had a pleasurable experience at Riad Idra. The staff was very kind, the rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable and the grounds overall were just what we wanted for our first stay in Morocco. We also had a beautiful breakfast served every morning on the rooftop and reserved for dinner one night that was delicious. Highly recommended!!

Loved our stay here! The rooms were lovely, their garden was open and spacious. The assistant manager, Amin, was extremely helpful. The only downside wasn’t about the Riad itself, but the aggressive hustlers that lurk nearby ready to scam unsuspecting tourists new to the country, which seems to be a regular occurance in Morocco.

beautiful Riad, well situated in the Medina. Very well trained staff, they all go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed three nights and will return next time we visit Marrekech. Also the breakfasts were superb and dinner outstanding!

The hotel and staff were fantastic. Seven beautiful rooms and much personal attention. We felt very much welcomed and the staff treated us so kindly. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Wonderful towels, linens, robes, and even beautiful Moroccan made slippers for us to use and take home. We ate in the rooftop restaurant for dinner one night of our three nights and it was the best meal that we had in Marrakech. The daily breakfasts that accompanied the room were sumptuous and delicious. It’s a very special Riad. Karina, Omar, and Abdou were truly wonderful, Abdel, an extraordinary chef. This is a superb Riad.

I arrived late after a tour of the Sahara desert, having pre-booked a Hammam and 60 min massage. The staff were so kind to wait for me despite being 30 mins late. Upon arrival I was greeted with warm hand towel and fresh mint tea, then was lead to the Hammam and the massage, which were the best things I have done for myself! The women who bathed massaged me were so friendly helpful and skilled, and they used high quality soaps and fragrances that afterwards I was floating on clouds, and ready for dinner. I had chosen fish, which I missed after four days without seafood on the road, and it was very fresh and delicious, cooked in French style. I was traveling alone but the staff were very helpful with directions, also the Riad is very close to Jardin Secret and close to main streets so was easy to ask directions for. Breakfasts were divine, served in two separate courses, with fresh orange juice, coffee, fresh smoothie, home-made yoghurt (which I dearly miss), porridge, French pastries and fruit salad. The Riad is beautifully decorated throughout, my room was divinely clean and smelled delicious, and there were all these luxurious touches throughout which I really appreciated (e.g. Chanel no. 5 perfume for your use in the bathroom, large bottle of water and plate of dried fruits without charge in the room!). I would like to return with my partner in the future. To top it all off, all my friends are jealous of my pictures of the Riad!

You are treated like royalty from the moment you walk in. Also, this place is the definition of serenity; calm, peaceful and is somehow in the middle of all the hustle and bustle!

Extremely tasteful, this beautiful riad exudes calm and well being. Great location, we walked to all sites within the medina and Hivernage. The breakfasts and dinners are better than at most restaurants! The staff under Karine's direction is exceptional...chef Abdel, Abdou, Salah, Omar, Nazeera in the Hammam, Wefah's massage. Thank you for a 5-star stay!

Good location near to square and other historic locations. All walking distance.. Good manager and her staff. Always Willing and ready to help. Breakfast serving staff were fantastic. Rooms always clean, modern with Moroccan feel. Breakfast choice very limited though varying everyday . Unfortunately not a great fan of carbs. Idra is in a very secure location. Can easily walk to hotel late at night.

Everything was great about the staff and hotel. Just a little hard to find due to fact it’s located down a side alley.
