While the staff was helpful and patient, the condition of the property is abysmal. Dirty carpets, leaky air conditioners, unclean rooms, the list goes on. If you want a hotel that feels clean and modern, this one is not for you. The hotel, specifically the hotel room floors need significant rehab.

Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was great. Hotel was probably amazing in it's day but is a little tired now. Very clean, but needs updating. Quite a bit of road noise from our street facing room. Pool was large, clean, beautiful. Beach is across the street and public, crowded, dirty - not somewhere we had any interest in being. Short cab drive to medina, great restaurant and park across the street but otherwise not really walkable to anywhere.

This hotel was not in a great location for anything. Very much out on its own. The pool was closed and almost no guests staying. The restaurant was closed and no were close to eat.the carpets in the rooms were very dirty. Much better to be closer to city center.

Property staff was very nice and assistive and kind. breakfast was great. we did not feel comfortable in the surroundings to go out at night and walk around and there wasn't anywhere to eat dinner so we just had to eat snacks in our room. beds were OK room could have used a little more cleaning. lobby's beautiful the rest of the place is very dated

Very nice hotel that felt very luxurious. Loved the balcony and sea view! Only issues were that the carpet was a little dirty and there was no bidet (something I feel like should be in all hotels especially Morocco!) We were given hot tea while waiting for the reception as they were helping another guest. All staff were really nice to us and the breakfast was pretty great. Had a make your own omelette station. Will definitely come back.

Loved the property. The entire staff was very helpful, friendly, happy, professional and kind. The property was a beautiful and very quiet which was perfect for my 11 day escape from the USA. I highly recommend the hotel if you want a get away from the hustle and bustle of the old town. The only issue was you need a taxi to the Médina and port area but they are cheap and clean.

Greeting was perfect, friendly staff at check in. Rooms cleanliness would match 3* in Europe, carpets dirty, balcony wasn't ever cleaned. Breakfast was something to compare to 2* in Europe. Cams in an hour before closing, out of 10 empty tables, one was half cleaned but had no chairs. Waited for 10min and had to leave as we saw more people bringing dirty glasses and dishes to be replaced. Please learn French or Arabic language otherwise you won't get any SPA ritual explanation. Stayed in SeaView with amazing view and sea sound. Taxis are cheap, around 30mad to downtown. Personally, this hotel is waaaaay overrated, and others should be picked as price range stands out near Hilton.

This hotel is NOT 5 stars. More like 3.5. The place has no character. The staff is nonchalant and my bathroom has mold in it. Also, it says online that there is a lounge/bar, that’s misleading... the hotel is dry (not that there is anything wrong with that). There is only a tea bar. So it’s kind of misleading to a typical traveler.

Overall a great experience. I was upgraded to a king bed sea view on the top floor at no cost. 180 $CAD for 400$CAD room was an insane deal. Fell asleep to the sound of the ocean located about 200 feet from the balcony. Staff was courteous and generous. Hallways and carpets show their age and need to be updated. Pool is beautiful.

Dont stay here. Took over 45 minutes to check in. Got up graded to a Superior Suite which had a great view but filthy. Carpet out worn and stained. Shower and toilets didnt work. Reported problems and took over 10 hours before they came to fix toilet. Water toilet line broke in the middle of the night flooding room. Management didn't seem to care and slow to respond. Only offered to move us our last. Service is horrible. Took 2 1/2 hrs to get drinks around pool and 2 hrs just for ice.

Extremely disappointed with the end of this trip. Lost my wallet but the hotel called as it was found in the room where we left it. They confirmed my cards and money was there but upon arriving at the hotel, my money was gone. The staff also changed their narrative saying it was found outside, but we never took the wallet from the room which is why we know we left it there. I contacted hotels.com to inquire about the owners name as instructed by the police (went to police station right after getting wallet with missing money) and the hotel kept hanging up on the hotels.com people. Very obvious. It’s clear the staff has taken the money and lied. Their facial expressions were a dead give away anyways. Usually people don’t laugh and smile when something bad happens. We won’t be going back.

The hotel was nice until I lost my wallet. We were called and told my wallet was found in my room (which was the last place we had it, never picked it up when leaving) and told all my money and cards were there. Upon arrival to the hotel, the narrative changed and we were told the wallet was found outside and all by a restaurant even tho we never went to the restaurant. The money disappeared over night. 800$ stolen. Very disappointed in this 5 star hotel staff for not being honest. We were told the money was there and it’s clear the staff stole it. People don’t realize, their facial expressions often give them away. We won’t be coming back due to the dishonestly. And to think we were going to give a reward. Nope.

Not Impressed - At first glance, location looks nice, but after looking around complex and room, it’s very outdated and “beat-up”. We received a larger suite which was nice, but furnishings look to be from the 80’s. Carpet is old, stained and has burn marks. Couch and chairs need to be updated. Bathtub floor is all scratched. Balcony glass is broken. Walls have scuff marks. No electrical outlets near bed (personal preference) Pool is dirty, like brownish water. Hotel logo in pool also looks to be coming apart. Bonus - I called for laundry service approx. 1:30pm (laundry’s open till 5pm), but was told if I wanted laundry, I would need to stay an extra night cause laundry couldn’t be finished till 3pm the next day. They’re supposed to offer express service, but was not offered. Would not recommend!

I stayed a week at this facility, from the minute I stepped inside I felt welcomed, the front desk greeted us, sat us in a reception area where we were severed Moroccan tea and cookies. Hajar upgrades our room to an Ocean View with a terrace which was amazing. Everything about the hotel is lux, the room, the breakfast, the amenities and the service. The hotel is about 12-15 mins from the old Médina, we drove to Chefchaouen, Assila, A’raisha, Tetouan and the caves from there as well as taking the trip to Spain from Tangier med. the hotel is about 3-4 minutes away from a great restaurant (Cappacino) ans right off Mohammed 6th Avenue. It sure exceeded my expectations

Not 5-star standard, maybe it was years ago, but not anymore. Old carpet, bathroom fixtures are old and a little moldy. AVOID ROOM 3013 AT ALL COSTS! It's right next door to the staff break room so you'll hear them talking/laughing/dragging chairs/furniture at random times throughout the day AND night! We stayed for 3 nights and did not get a great night's rest at all! We were woken up one night at midnight because the chit chat was very loud and lasted over 20 minutes. We picked this hotel because of the indoor pool over the Hilton and we regret it because Hilton was right next to a mall. However, staff was friendly and service was great.

Pretty but a little shabby. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, although the couple we were travelled with had a much smaller room. The bath in our companions’ room had heavily chipped enamel, and there was an electric socket above the sink(!) in our room which was hanging off the wall(!!). The breakfast is served on a mezzanine floor which is only accessed by a spiral staircase. The sea view was excellent but with little soundproofing the noise of dodgy plumbing was annoying. This is a dry hotel so the range of ‘cocktails’ is actually what we would call smoothies. The welcome was friendly and the reception staff were amenable. Room service removed half the towels from both our rooms on the first morning and didn’t replace them. Although when we asked for more we received a full set of towels quite quickly. The breakfast was served 7-11, but by 8.30 there was very little food and replenishment seemed to take forever. The range was so-so but the quality was poor. Stale bread, hard muffins. Over cooked boiled eggs. No plates. The catering staff seemed entirely incredulous when it was observed that the hot food was stone cold because there were no tea lights under the trays. Dinner was similar. As a 5-star hotel this is not up to expectations and for the price you can stay at the Hilton. Cheaper boutique hotels would likely be as comfortable and make more effort with the food, or at least be closer to the town centre so you can walk to one of the many restaurants.

Later, other souls appeared, some even in broad daylight, transforming the alcohol-free GM into the Hotel California ... "We haven't had that spirit here since...[forever]."

My husband and I were in Morocco for our honeymoon and this was our favorite hotel by far. We had booked a sea-view room and when the hotel found out that we were on our honeymoon, they gave us the best room in the hotel with a sea view. Not only that, but they sent up the best cheesecake I have ever eaten. Breakfast was also wonderful!

where do I start. the floors are dirty and run down carpets nothing is clean breakfast is the same every day despite multiple requests for variety if you have a problem the staff are unbelievably unhelpful. they just don't care. all they care about is the bill. Most importantly - watch your stuff in your room. I have had items stolen by cleaning staff. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ROOM UNATTENDED!

I wish they would turn the heating on as it is cold in the evenings, nights and mornings. Even my German friends are complaining about the cold.. Breakfast is monotonously the same every single day and the selection is very very small. A bit of variety would be nice from day to day or a decent larger selection to choose from would be nice. The quality is good so no worries in that department. All the staff are excellent and faultless. I think I have found the reason as to why the floors are dirty. It is that the people who clean your room WILL NOT clean the floor. They refused to do it when asked and never sent anyone else to do it. I think it must be someone else's job. This might also explain why the gym equipment is unclean and grimy. The hotel is in need of some refurbishment - but I read somewhere that said it was done in 2016 - I think 1996 is more like it. By the way - another poster said - the walls seem to be paper thin and any noise passes easily. I agree fully with that statement.

Firstly - Be aware this is a no alcohol hotel - the description of facilities give a pool side bar with a drink - Nope - not if it has alcohol. The restaurant also has no alcohol and I was told you can NOT take your own wine or alcohol there. I found the restaurant food quite good. No ATM, No fireplace, slow wifi, 32" TV and 20+ channels - 1 good one. Not premium. The location is good - out of town but taxis are plentiful and its 30 -35 dirham to town with plus it is quiet at night. Rooms are large and quiet and the seaside rooms have good views. The view from the mountain view rooms is disappointing and they face the road - which is not so busy. The rooms do not have individual heating or cooling. No heating and cool mornings now. Breakfast is the same every single day - small sausages, Moroccan soup, boiled eggs, some unknown mystery pate's or salsa, lots of sweets plus devon, cheese (1 type) and possibly ham in the cold meats. No variety at all. The "egg station" is not open when breakfast starts but when it is open they make a pretty good omelette with the few ingredients they have. Avoid the junior suite rooms as they are expensive and feel small - and the balcony can be small with views semi blocked by the building itself. The pool - is murky - the water is not crystal clear like it should be. The staff are excellent - very friendly and super helpful. I can't fault them - though it would be nice if the cleaners did clean the floor carpet in the rooms and corridors.

I stayed at the Grand Mogador with my husband and children. We had difficulty getting adjoining rooms for the children but the hotel was accommodating in providing us with cots for the children. We were there during Ramadan for part of our stay which meant that some guests were fasting so the lunch time menu was not extensive during that time. After Ramadan ended however, the variety of food was splendid for breakfast and dinner. It is just a few steps from the beach and having the seaview was breathtaking. They had some live entertainment during dinner which our children enjoyed. At the time of our stay they were announcing the launch of the kid's club but it had not yet started so I'm sure that will add to the enjoyment for families with children. The kiddie pool was nice for younger children and the adult pool was great. The facility is very clean but the rooms are definitely dated. The staff was rather pleasant although there seemed to be confusion about prices to charge for younger children. Eventually, the hotel management sorted out the issue and refunded us. Overall, we enjoyed it and would absolutely return.

Need English as well as the staff can't explain what's on the menu except in French. Over all nice place but would say 4 star and at the end of stay had a surprise as we got asked to pay tourist tax! This should be explain at the beginning as on expedia it said all tax payed but then u get asked to pay aganin!!! We did enjoyed the stay but be ready to pay out for spa as nothing is included and spa staff not very friendly put me off having any treatment!!
