We spent seven wonderful days at Riad Cocoon and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, making us feel at home. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the souks and main square in the heart of the old city. We would recommend Riad Cocoon to family and friends. A solid ten out of ten.

Fantastic Riad in heart of Medina. Corinne and her staff were wonderful. Jama was so welcoming on arrival and helped us feel at home, explaining all we wanted to know and giving us our first of many mint teas! The room was very comfortable and the Riad also offered meals and a hammam which was very luxurious. We will stay again when we return !

If you're scrolling through reviews and trying to decide where to book, stop scrolling and book here! This is the perfect place to stay in Marrakech. It's pretty accessible by taxi (the staff will come and meet you from the drop off), but still within the Medina, so it's an easy walk to everywhere. There are only 5 rooms, so you truly feel like you're being welcomed into Corinne's home. She is the perfect host, and has assembled a team who share her vision and deliver amazing service. Rooms are comfy, spotless and peaceful, and the roof terrace is a great spot to relax. We had lunch and dinner on the day we arrived, which were both delicious, and breakfast every day was lovely. Corinne gave us loads of restaurant recommendations, and would have happily booked them for us too. We ate at her suggestions on 4 of the 5 nights and they were all great. We had arranged trips with Corinne in advance, which were all excellent - particularly recommend having a guided walk in the Medina on the first day - a great way to orient yourself and learn a lot. We also had a Hammam/massage with her brilliant massage therapist. Another strong recommendation! I can't fault Riad Cocoon - I'd go straight back there in a flash!

Clean, friendly, good location. What more could you want. The people who work there are warm and personable. They helped with advice on getting around and the owner, who is a gem, helped with dinner reservations. Highly recommend.

Fantastic small Riad run by Corinne and her brilliant team. We spent 3 nights there followed some of her recommendations for site seeing and restaurants….which were great. Nothing is too much. They organized restaurant bookings and taxis for us and gave us a very useful App to navigate Marrakesh. Breakfast and the one evening meal we had were very good. Would love to go back for some more chilled out autumn warmth.

An oasis in the middle of the Medina. All of the staff are amazing, and go above and beyond. A special mention must go to Corinne, who was lovely, and always helpful. We stayed in Nirvana, which is a good size, and has a private roof terrace, which we made good use of. The room was spotless, and has a minibar, Nespresso machine and a safe. The 'rainfall' shower was very welcome after the long days in the hot sun exploring the Medina and beyond. We dined at the riad on our first evening, and every course was delicious. The Moroccan breakfasts every morning were really good too. We had a massage too, which was much needed. The masseuse found every knot! We would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Marrakech.

Corinne and her team were fabulous from the moment we walked in the door. Full of great tips of what to do and see in the city (and what to avoid) which was super helpful. The room was pleasant (and cool) and the vibe behind the front door was tranquil and relaxing. The Hamman experience available was wonderful Breakfast on the roof was delightful, the home cooked breads especially nice. Overall we highly recommend Riad Cocoon for a delightful oasis of tranquility away from the hustle of Marakech!

Brilliant place, brilliant Corinne, brilliant team made up of Jama, Osama, Kenza and Anisa. Stayed 3 nights, loved the attention and felt welcomed. Getting lost in the souk, getting pampered to attend a Marrakech wedding, the top quality lunch prepared at the riad, absoultely perfect. I have stayed in 5* hotels in Marrakech but the detail to attention, the curiosity and kindness afforded to you, hits different. The maze of alleyways, the sensation of maybe being lost, yet you know how to find your way back to the riad, is exciting. Walking out of the riad, you basically walk into a move set. From wandering in the souk to a 5* wedding, the team was there to help arrange, book and reserve anything and everything. This riad has soul and the team has patience and love to spread. We will be back.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful riad, perfectly tucked away within the Medina and just a few minutes’ stroll from the souk. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and full of charm. Each morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast, on the terrace, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. Dinner is optional, but we’d highly recommend eating in at least once during your stay, the food was excellent. One of the highlights of our stay was the hamman experience at the riad — it was absolutely amazing and so relaxing. Corinne, the owner, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She arranged a fantastic private tour guide for us, who gave us a brilliant insight into the city, and organised a magical sunrise hot air balloon trip, which was a truly unforgettable experience. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Another special mention to Corinne, the owner, who was always on hand to help with dinner reservations and offer thoughtful recommendations. Her personal touch really made our stay feel warm and welcoming.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Riad Cocoon! Beautiful surroundings and first relate service from everyone. Couldn’t have asked for more. Corinne was so helpful arranging airport transfers and private walking tours for us. We were very well taken care of throughout our 3 night stay. The riad itself is stunning - quite the oasis of calm and tranquility - a welcome change from the bustle of the souls and side streets of the city! Plunge pool was divine - exactly what we needed after busy mornings exploring on foot. Treatments were blissful and our evening meal and breakfasts were delicious. The ethos of Riad Cocoon was simply fantastic and we felt very cared for by everyone. Thanks for an amazing stay Corinne! We will hope to return again soon!

We would like to thank Corrine, Abdul, Jamaal and the team at Riad Cocoon for making our trip to Marrakech a truly amazing, unforgettable experience. From the moment we booked, Corrine was in contact, helping us plan our holiday by booking excursions, arranging airport transfers and offering expert tips. On arrival, we met Abdul who introduced himself and told us 'he was at our service' and he definitely meant it! Between himself and Jamaal, they looked after our every need. Whether it was booking restaurants, ordering taxis, preparing food and drink, they were always available and always smiling! The Riad itself is ideally located in the medina, right on the edge of the souks and a short walk from the main square, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be an oasis of calm. We stayed in the Nirvana suite which we'd definitely recommend due to the private roof top terrace and large rooms. The entire Riad is beautifully finished in a contemporary Moroccan style with traditional touches, which creates a relaxing ambiance. In short, the hospitality was faultless, the food was so tasty, the Riad was beautiful and the Hamann experience by Jaminetta (sorry for the spelling!) unmissable. We don't know when we'll be back to Marrakech but we know where we'll be staying! Thanks again Corrine & team.

You won’t regret booking this Riad. I’ve travelled a lot of places and this is one of the most I’ve felt Most welcomed and looked after, from the second we arrived to the second we left. The staff really made this trip extra special for us. Corrine is the owner and she is absolutely wonderful. Listen to all the recommendations they have to offer you, and you will not be disappointed! Abdo & Jama make it a pleasure. The place wouldn’t be the same without them! Breakfast & Food was lovely, the rooftop is beautiful. It’s also very clean, the food & the traditional massage are just extra bonus touches. The interior is also lovely, I would 100% stay here again. Thank you to you all for making our stay perfect. We booked a few different Riads on our trip and this was by far the best. I wish we spent more time here! Go experience this wonderful gem. It has a special place in my heart! ❤️

Cons: Everything was perfect.

The riad is conveniently located, clean, comfortable, and friendly! What sets it apart though is the proprietor and her staff! They are very welcoming so i felt like family! The personnel made the difference! The food is tasty, the service is very accommodating! I definitely would return! I made dinner and touring arrangements separately before arriving but next visit will allow Cocoon staff to arrange since they have such a wonderful network! I did confirm airport meet/greet- transfers which i highly recommend!

I appreciated the fact that the owner, Madame Corine, welcomed us personally with a verveine tea made by Abdo who is so nice and easy to talk to. The hamam was exceptional, something i don't advise anyone don't miss out on. The breakfast was alright, to be completely honest. But again, the staff made our stay unforgettable. Thank you again and I definitely recommend your place!

Cons: The room had no windows unfortunately and no couch. Luckily there was the terrace.

The Riad was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is in a quiet area yet only a few minutes walk from the buzz of the souks. Not only was Marrakesh a fascinating and colourful place to visit, but staying in Riad Cocoon in the heart of the Medina meant that the souks and sights and restaurants were on our doorstep. Cocoon was beautifully designed and the staff couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming, even producing a three course meal when we arrived late in the evening. Each morning, after a good night's sleep in our comfortable room, we had breakfast and set out on foot to explore the medina where we found many cafes for a light lunch. We returned to Cocoon and sat on the roof with some refreshments before setting out for dinner in a different restaurant each evening.

Our stay at Riad Cocoon was exceptional. Airport pick up was a gem. It was our first time in Marrakesh but Corrine and Gemma made us feel like family. Every trip excursion was seamless. We chose the desert tour with camel ride at sunset and the Atlas Mountains trips. Gemma took the time to go over the map, sights, restaurants, etc. And the food, including dinner, at the Riad was superb. I cannot recommend Riad Cocoon enough.

The staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you. Ordering taxis and helping with location Apps. Even gave us some cash to help us until we got to an ATM. Had a meal at the Riad on the first night which was delicious.

Cons: Bath was a bit slippery and high up for older clients. Could do with a non slip bath mat. If getting money from an ATM make sure you go to one that is attached to a Bank as we were charged an extra £20 at a free standing ATM.

Overall, our stay at the Riad Cocoon was magnificent. All the staff was very attentive, kind, welcoming and so friendly. Thank you, Corinne, Madame Kenza and Jamal for the lovely hospitality. You definitely make the difference! Breakfast and dinner - we chose to have dinner there once, were superb, served on the roof top in a relaxed and comfortable way - all we want when we are on holiday. Although the room was not the biggest one, it was clean, cosy and comfortable with air conditioner and a great bathroom. Corinne was always helpful, giving us precious tips on the city and its places. We wish the Riad all the best of luck. Keep up the great job and more guests will continue to be pleased over there. Cons: There is nothing we didn't like at the Riad. We had a completely pleasant stay.

Great location, so beautiful, clean and peaceful, wonderful staff who can’t do enough for you, Otman, Gamma and Raja are absolutely amazing. Corrine’s excellent communication and attention is welcomed, which enabled us to book return transfers, a walking tour of the Medina, the Hammam (just divine) and a restaurant. We should have booked more before we arrived, being a very busy weekend we found several restaurants were full for dinner at sunset. So book ahead! Be prepared for long queues at the airport, took nearly 3 hrs from landing! The driver arranged by Corrine waited for us, which was also fantastic.

The riad was nice, lots of character and conveniently located for the souks. The staff were really helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We started with a hamam spa and enjoyed the experience. (first time for both of us) I found the mopeds around the medina were a hazard and the fumes were unpleasant. It took me a couple of days to relax as it was so full on. We tried some roof top great restaurants, walked for miles and soaked up the vibrancy of Marrakech. Our hot air balloon trip was a highlight for both of us. A trip to Marrakech has been on the bucket list for a long time, and I'm really glad we went.

Wonderful stay @ Riad Cocoon Staff was OUTSTANDING -- staff was so kind and accommodating, Corrine the owner was such a sweetheart as was the staff overall. It felt like home away from home, very peaceful and quiet. We loved how Corrine gave a wonderful overview of of Marrakech and gave us a good understanding of how to plan our stay ( thanks to Jamaa for adding locations on our maps ). Our meals were prepared with such love, truly felt like visiting family. Nirvana Suite room was lovely great size with lots of great amenities, very relaxing overall -- great additional services ( spa, taxi, etc.) Location was great / quiet -- just a few minutes walking distance into the souks ( takes a bit getting used to with the twists and turns of the streets ) Helpful Tips : ------------------------------- * Discuss with the Corinne / staff how you would like to spend your overall time & they can suggest you a good itinerary * Take a taxi from the Riad to your destination ( Riad can book for you ) to save time * Plan your days accordingly depending on season ( summer temperatures are brutal, you will spend most time indoors ) * Do not take assistance or gifts (i.e. flowers, henna, etc.) from random strangers in the streets or people offering to be your guide or help you find your way ( ALWAYS ignore ) * Corinne & staff are very accommodating - if you need assistance or help they will go out of their way to assist

Cons: * Riad concept - had misconception that it would be like a hotel stay, but it is more of a traditional lovely guest house ( not a negative, but a point of clarity if you are seeking traditional hotel keep expectations realistic ) * We came during the hottest days of the year so getting used to AC was a bit challenging ( Corrine readily adjusted / upgraded the AC to ensure we were cool & comfortable - so grateful for that! ) * Decor was slightly outdated but stylish none the less * Riad is located on a very quiet / clean corner location -- it's very peaceful but a bit eerie at night : takes a day or so to adjust to the environment especially if you have never visited and don't realize that all facilities there are not Riads but people's homes ( i.e. people enjoying the night's cool weather on their door step in the alleys ) Helpful Tips : -------------------------------- * If staying during hot / hotter climate - keep the lights off / shades closed and have the AC fan pointed at a downward angle only ( with wide air flow ) -- hotter air rises while lower air stays towards the ground ( found that this kept the room cool when we returned ) * Be mindful that the top floor will be the warmest ( best for colder season, but not ideal for hotter season ) * Inform the staff if returning late ( have their whatsapp # on hand )

We stayed here for 4-nights at the end of April during Ramadan and what a time we had. Corrine has an exceptional Riad just a 2-minute walk from being in the Medina, but you would think you’re nowhere near as it’s so peaceful. Everything about the stay was amazing and Corrine and the team make you feel at home and are able to help with everything. They provided us with excellent recommendations on places to eat, drink, and visit, which made our time in Marrakech much better. Jemaa was great and always able to help us with any questions and really made our stay at Riad Cocoon! He was always on hand to help with issues with our room, any questions we had about Marrakech or Morrocan culture and he made our stay much more interesting and relaxing. The food prepared by the riad is sensational, the breakfast each morning is incredible and the chef is amazing, and I would highly recommend having at least one meal at the riad as it provides much more authentic cuisine. All in all, would 100% visit Marrakech again and would not hesitate to stay at Riad Cocoon!!

The Riad is beautiful, and Corrine (the owner), Jemaa, Kadija, and other staff were very friendly and super helpful with anything and everything you need. Upon check-in, a printout of recommendations of must-see places as well as cards for various restaurants in the Medina and outside of it. Kadija, the chef, makes delicious tagines, and I had a pedicure while I was there that lovely. Corrine and Jemaa offered setup reservations for any places I might want to eat, arranged taxi's for me, and helped me with all of my luggage and getting to my next hotel. Corinne and the staff were incredible the entire time, helping to organise transfers, excursions (and a lovely breakfast!) with loads of flexibility and care. Corinne was so kind to sit down on the first day, have a lovely quick chat about life in Marrakech, recommendations for the best way to spend a short trip, and even book restaurants for the evenings, which in themselves were excellent. The room itself was lovely with some lovely surprises on arrival which made it really sweet and comfortable, especially for a little couple’s adventure.

Cons: A regret rather than a dislike was that we didn’t spend as much time as the Riad itself. It’s a wonderful little secret amid the bustle of Marrakech, and when the lights, fires, and music is on in the early evenings, it would have been lovely to have spent time sipping a cocktail around the pool or on the rooftop terrace. Were I to have the pleasure of going again, I’d make sure to enjoy doing this at least once.

The riad is beautifully and imaginatively furnished and appointed, with personal touches everywhere. Corinne and her staff took such good care of me for my six-night stay, going out of their way to offer suggestions and even making a wonderful herbal infusion when I came down with a travel cold. I look forward to returning. Thanks so much to all, and a shout-out to Hamza.

Corinne is a really nice host and made our stay feel so comfortable and we never had to think about what plans we should make for the next day, because she or her staff always organized everything for us (transfers, taxi, dinner reservations). She also gave us a note with everything on it that we should do or see in marrakech so we wouldn’t miss anything. Jamaa and Yassin also helped us a lot with our plans and were always available for a nice chat. To be honest, this riad felt like home, like a true family and we would suggest it to everyone.

Cons: You could hear the muezzin from the minaret (tower connected to a mosque) calling the people to pray loud and clearly. If you have a soft sleep it could be a problem.

Everything about the Riad is perfect, a proper home from home (but a lot nicer…) The whole building is stunning and the staff could not be more accommodating, especially when my partner fell slightly ill during our stay! All recommendations made by the staff were exceptional, they really helped make the trip amazing.

We had a perfect stay. The owner, Corinne and her staff are warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. The riad is very conveniently located in the Medina. We were provided very attentive and anticipatory service, great recommendations and advice, and a feeling that we were truly at home. We loved the property, the hammam/spa services, and the home-cooked meals. Could not recommend Cocoon highly enough, and we are looking forward to returning.

I stay in a lot of hotels for both business and pleasure, but very rarely have I stayed somewhere so welcoming as Riad Cocoon. The Riad itself is beautiful inside and is in a great location: you're right in the middle of the medina but as soon as you step inside the building you're instantly transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city outside. The roof terrace in particular was a very peaceful place to relax and I enjoyed a delicious meal there my first night. Corinne and her staff were very friendly without being in the least bit intrusive. Overall, I couldn't have asked for more and I hope to return next time I'm in Marrakech.

The name describes it perfectly - it is a perfect escape from the hustle of the Medina. From the warm welcome, the moment we left we felt like honoured guests. Our every want and need was anticipated and met. The food was outstanding and drinks and snacks appeared wherever we sat down. We enjoyed cooling off in the little pool. We found the beds a bit small and hard and the pillows didn't suit us very well, but were replaced on request. A delightful stay with wonderful staff.

Selected this Riad based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. You are made welcome from the minute you book with advice and helpful tips on how to plan your trip. Room (Green Eye) was comfortable and quiet, breakfast on the rooftop idyllic, staff helpful and 15 mins from the main square once you work out the route! Couldn’t recommend more highly. Will go back

The service at Riad Cocoon was very good. The staff are very attentive to your needs and as a female solo traveler they checked in frequently to check I was doing okay and if I needed any help/ tips for restaurants and activities etc while visiting Marrakech. Corinne the owner is very professional and makes sure you are satisfied with your stay. They also accommodated a late pick up and check in when I arrived from the airport late. Definitely take advantage of ordering the airport transfer upon arrival as the Médina can be very confusing on your first visit. The only negative, if you could even call it that, is the rooster next door who gives you a nice early wake up call each morning if you are a light sleeper. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend this road to friends and family.

Warmly greeted by our host ushered in for mint tea, then the hard sales pitch for activities began. We had already arranged multiple activities some months before our arrival which did not go down well with Corinne who proceeded to tell us we will have a terrible time and will probley regret not booking with her I'm guessing commission involved. Well I can tell you we had a sublime time on all our activities after all the research we did it's what we expected. The room was basic but disappointing simple errors tarnished the experience all the towel rails and hooks very loose in fact with little effort you can pull them out the wall!! Needles to say we avoided hanging anything on them which is most inconvenient. we stayed one night for diner on the delightful roof terrace, but after 40 minutes wait for drinks delightful don't cut it any more and since we where the only guests up there I'm at a lose for words. By this point we where looking forward to moving on to our next location raid cocoon in our rear mirror.

For me, what distinguishes a good stay vs. a great stay is the level of service. From the moment you arrive at the Riad Cocoon, the owner (Corrine) personally greets you and makes you feel so welcome in her beautiful riad. She has everything prepared for your visit and will personally ensure all your needs are met - dinner reservations, taxis, excursions, etc. The staff are very attentive and will make sure your stay is comfortable. Breakfast is served on the sunny rooftop terrace overlooking the city center. Make sure you download the recommended travel app ... really helps navigate the city.

Great, peaceful, and small spot in in the medina and close to souks and square but just a bit outside of the busiest parts. The service from Corine and Ali was great. They can help with all aspects of the trip, from airport transfer to excursions and of course directions around town and in the souks. We took the excursion that Corine conceived of herself that involved a small trek in the Atlas mountains and it was great. She even stopped by the train station to pick up tickets for us so that we could go on the excursion. The weather wasn't great when we were there, so we weren't able to take full advantage of the great terrace where meals and drinks are served when it's sunny and warm. The food is really good, so definitely recommend eating dinner there at least once. Would definitely stay there again.

Good stay in a nice cosy place. The owner was very friendly and helpful in helping us navigate the city during our stay. Her personalized attention and guidance is one of the key benefits in staying here. Rest, the rooms were to our expectation (nicely maintained, clean but the shower pressure is a bit low on the top floor) and the staff was super helpful. The food (lunch/ dinner) at the Riad is much more expensive than neighbouring specialized eating places, but I don't know if this is the general trend across Riads in Marrakesh. Would surely recommend this place for a stay.

I have never posted a hotel review despite of all my travels with my wife. We have stayed at least in 15 different hotels in the past year throughout the world. However, Riad Cocoon simply deserves all my stars and an outstanding review. Me and my wife booked Cocoon for 3 nights, even before arriving there staff and Corinne, the wonderful owner, who closely supervises the place, knew our names and all of our needs. In fact, everything was personalized to fit our schedule; breakfast, dinner, massages - and allowed us flexibility. Corinne's suggestions allowed us to make the most of our short stay in Marrakech. On top, the room rate and spa pampering are very inexpensive given the personalized service they provide. By far one of the best places we have stayed when traveling and you should not look further if you want to have a pain-free trip to Marrakesh. Corinne took care of everything: from shuttle pick up to arranging a day trip to the Berber village, which is a must. Also, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy a great hamman and relaxation massage from the spa at Cocoon for a fair price. I could keep going and writing all the great things that made Riad Cocoon exceed our expectations, but if you are going to Marrakech you should stay there and see this with your own eyes. Thanks Riad Cocoon for making this a lifetime experience. Hope to see you all soon.

She is extremely kind and pleasant to be around and interact with. The staff at Riad Cocoon are very nice and also goes above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. I felt like I was home while at the riad. Breakfast was great every morning in addition to the other meals we enjoyed while there. We also had the opportunity to have a hamman/massage our first day. Simply delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed Marrakech and look forward to returning to Riad Cocoon at a future time.

This was our first visit to Marrakech and we loathed it. No parts of the medina are pedestrianised and the general populace largely get around on 2 stroke engined mopeds. Whilst the constant worry of being run into is in itself stressful, the worse thing is the pollution - the air hangs blue with the fumes. I have slight asthma and found it really unpleasant. Another guest who was pregnant shared that she also was badly affected. The medina is filthy, rubble, litter and general detritus everywhere. Many beggars, emaciated and badly treated donkeys pulling overloaded carts and colonies of feral cats. Youths follow you around trying to lead you to stores and telling you that the road ahead is closed. Just an assault on all the sensibilities. The one jewel was the Riad Cocoon. We loved it and after 2 days, spent more time in the Riad than in further exploring Marrakech

The Riad Cocoon is a lovely property with impeccable service. The owner contacted us to ensure that we had transportation to the riad and offered to arrange dinner for us that night in the riad. The riad also has nice spa facilities for a hammam or massage. The terrace was lovely and the staff was very amenable to all of our requests, including offering full cocktail service and dinner. The riad is within short walking distance of Jemaa el-Fnaa but quite a long walk to the Saadian Tombs or other sites on the south end of the medina.

Didnt know what to expect from a riad but what we did get was exceptional. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Everything i asked for from trips being organised, taxis being called and ice cool drinks on the roof was all catered for.Centre is very busy and the riad was 10 minute walk from centre or 3 minute taxi ride (taxis are cheap) and it felt like a welcome relief to get away from hustle and bustle and enjoy some tranquility. Trip to Atlas mountains was amazing and you can ask how long you want to trek for.Trek is at a steady pace and meeting berber family and having your meal cooked fir you was exceptional. I suggest a good scrub and massage when you get back to the riad to revinvorate yourself.

Me and the other half stayed here as a short stay on our way to the Atlas Mountain. One word - Amazing. From landing on the Saturday night and my partner being hungry and the lovely receptionist getting food, to the lovely spa girl who ensured I got all the treatments I wanted even though she finished late. The breakfast on the terrace served with such a lovely manner, and Corinne herself who ensure we had a printed itinerary and made the most of our very short stay. Riad Cocoon is a real find. Marrakech is a manic city and different to any travelling experience we have had. The Riad provided an oasis of calm in the mania The staff at the Riad helped us find our feet and advised us on anything we asked them, they could not have been nicer. The terrace is peaceful and you eat breakfast there every morning . We had dinner in the Riad the first night which was recommended by Corinne and the meal was fantastic. We had a Hamman and massage in the Riad which was thoroughly enjoyable. The Riad is in a good situation for all attractions. It was lovely to go out at night and then come back and relax on the terrace with a bottle of wine. A lovely warm experience at Riad Cocoon with Corrine and her team. This is a lovely clean hotel set close enough to the medina but peacefully away too. The souks of Marrakech can be a little overwhelming at first so Corrines advice is invaluable. She is refreshingly honest. The food was lovely at the Riad as was my fresh lemon drink the first night of arrival. We went for dinner and lunch based on Corrines suggestions and were not disappointed. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We were welcomed with some delicious Moroccan chai by the charming Sohail and looked after extraordinarily well by Madame Corrine throughout our stay. Everything was done to make our stay as special and relaxing as possible. The room (purple haze) was beautifully appointed and very clean and he in-house hammam and massage were well worth the expense. The Riad is located very close to the soukhs but tucked away down a very unassuming side street. It felt like a hidden gem. We only stayed for 2 days but coming back to the tranquil Riad in the evening after the bustle of the medina felt like coming home. We were very sorry to leave.

Spent a fantastic 4 day break in Marrakech. Early spring sunshine really made it along with a great hotel. The rooftop terrace was fantastic for breakfast and we had a good meal there on the evening that we arrived. We enjoyed bartering in the souks which were only 3 minutes walk away (although I suspect that the pros on the other side of the counter were better at it than we were). You should definitely visit the square at Jaama el Fna and get some refreshment at one of the rooftop terrace cafes (perhaps best at sunset). KosyBar was good for an evening drink looking out over a row of storks nests, and the Museum of Photography was well worth a visit. You should ignore directional advice from most of the local men who will tell you that the road ahead is blocked as it isn't (most of the time). The once in a while you will look a bit of a moron when you have to back track because you have gone down a cul de sac, but that's part of the joy when taken in good humour. All in all 10 out of 10 for a short break and only 3 hours flying time from London.

20 minutes from the airport by taxi, do not try and drive to this hotel as it is right in the old town through narrow winding streets. It's a great location to walk from to see the souks and to get to the square where the nightlife is amazing. Corrine greeted us with Moroccan 'whisky', sweet mint tea, and spent time explaining what we could expect and how to react to the locals. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, shown our room then she took us on a personal walk around the streets to get our bearings. Our room was the smallest and cheapest but was perfectly comfortable and clean with en suite facilities. No TV or room for a table or chairs. There is a TV lounge downstairs however which was perfectly comfortable. We ate in the hotel on our first night, the food was lovely and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Corrine recommended trips and even organised and booked everything that we wanted to do, again, nothing was too much trouble. Great hotel, great location.

I booked this Riad based on the hotels.com and tripadvisor reviews. It was everything I expected and all of the other reviewers are spot on. The riad is very classy and home-y at the same time. Service was impeccable and all of the staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The owner, Corinne, in particular was very helpful. Being new to the city, she showed us how to navigate the streets and have the best time in the medina as possible. She showed us an app to download that was lifesaving for navigating the winding streets. The food was also amazing, both for breakfast and dinner. The only knock is the distance from a main street to the riad. At night it can be a bit disconcerting to wander through the alleyways, but the same can be said about most riads in the medina.

What lacked in weather was more than made up for by the warm welcome awaiting us at Riad Cocoon - a hidden gem around 10-15 minutes away from the main square. After booking the hotel, Corinne texted me to ask for my email so she could send me more info about our stay. It was a pleasant surprise and showed me this was more than your typical accommodation. Corinne soon emailed us over options of what to do at the Riad - transfers/dinner/spa etc. We booked transfer through her as it was only £30 return . On arrival, we were treated to traditional Moroccan treats, a welcome reprieve after a very early start. Corinne had an itinerary ready for us to make sure we didn't miss the must-see sights in a short trip. She even offered to show us around the area and how to get to the Square. She helped us download an app on our phones (which worked without wifi and data) so we would never get lost - and it was a godsend! We had lunch at the hotel on our first day - a traditional lamb tagine - and it was one of the best dishes I had. This is a small Riad with a small staff team, all of whom were friendly and accommodating at all times, ALWAYS wearing a smile! Our room (Green Eyes) was amazing, just what we needed for a romantic birthday trip with rose petals everywhere, an iPod with LOTS of music! I'd definitely recommend anyone to stay here and being the traveller that I am, I know that when I go back to Marrakech, I will be staying here again. And I look forward to it!

After a hectic first 5 days in Morocco we arrived at Riad Cocoon feeling pretty bedraggled, however on entering the Riad, we were instantly uplifted and made to feel welcome by Corinne and her team. Some reviews complain it is very small, but the less people the better and you get a much more personal service. The waterfall wall is a beautiful touch and the Riad smelled like a spa throughout. I had a hammam with gommage & full body massage which was amazing and soothed away the aches and knots gained from the camel ride in the desert the previous day! The iPod dock in the room was a lovely touch, as you don’t always want a TV and the breakfast was the most delicious we received in any of our accommodation throughout Morocco. We only stayed 1 night as a stop over from the desert trip to Essouira, but we wish we had stayed longer – incentive to return for a long weekend! Thank you to Corrine & Tareq especially, for a lovely stay.

The place is owned by a French lady who greets you personally and offers advice on places to visit and eat. I even received a phone call from her in England as soon as I had booked. Her very helpful staff escort you to a local landmark on your first foray out so that you will be able to find your way back and to restaurants in the evening. They also arranged taxis and airport transfers. It felt like you are staying at a private home rather than a hotel. The riad is small, only 5 rooms, which again makes it feel homely. Meals were served on the lovely sunny roof terrace. We had dinner there on our first evening and the food was delicious but you need a hearty appetite as you can only have 3 course set menu, which was too much for us. You do need to book at least a day in advance if you want to eat in. The rooms are comfortable but small and a bit dark. A nice touch was they were all fitted with ipods and speakers but they lacked storage space for clothes. There was also a hamam in the riad, very relaxing, and a small pool in the centre of the ground floor. Although an attractive feature, I couldn't see how one would use it as it was in reception.

A warm welcome and fantastic service throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Corrine & her team of staff. Great breakfast. An oasis of serenity after the madness of the souks. We were personally escorted to restaurants and offered all the help and support we needed to ensure we had a great break in Marrakech.

Staff amazing - so friendly and helpful, taking us out of the hotel to show us our way around (don't underestimate the value of this; the Medina is incredibly confusing and a little intimidating at first) and generally attending to our every need. We had the 'green eyes' room which was beautiful, if on the small side (probably common in riads due to the compact nature of the Medina). Lovely roof terrace where breakfast (included), lunch (extra) and dinner (extra) are served. There is comfortable outdoor furniture but only one sun lounger which was about the only irritation I can think of. Pool is more for the eyes than anything being essentially in the reception area. I don't think this will differ in all but the large and exclusive riads, and I'm not sure I would want to trade. My advice; let the riad staff organise your airport transfer, at least on the way in - it would be difficult to find the riad without as the taxi driver is likely to abandon you somewhere nearby, rather than drop you v close and walk you to the front door, which is priceless if you have not been before.
