Excellent Riad, really good breakfast. Popular with local people, quite a lot of steps to get to the Riad . Room was great, properly hot water and helpful staff. The breakfast room is excellent with lovely views. I noticed the altitude at first but got used to it.

Supernice place, friendly staff and very good food. The beds are a bit hard, but that's common in the region. In you are going late in the season, pack varm clothes as the temp in night are low. Very good location for hiking, both short and longer trips.

These days in Imlil were perfect. I loved the location of this property, the view from the balcony, the staff, the guests, the FOOD! Everything was perfect. Star gazing from the roof and coffee in bed looking at the mountains. It’s so dreamy. The interiors are really spacious with traditional features and I love how it’s built into the rock. Go now!

We looked at so many options of riads for our stay in Imlil and I am so glad that we chose this one! Incredible hospitality and the staff goes above and beyond. The views from the terraces are incredible. The included breakfast is very good. They allowed us to leave our bags here when we did our overnight of Toubkal and even let us do our laundry before we left. It’s a great location with an easy 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, etc. I honestly can’t say enough about how helpful and amazing the staff are. Highly recommend staying here while in Imlil!

Having wandered around a very chilly Imlil looking for somewhere warm to eat we followed a recommendation and found the entrance to this Riad down an unlit alley way. Once inside it reminded me of Mr Tumnus’s parlour (without the peril). 2 blazing fires and a lovely, cosy, traditional interior. We had the set menu which was one of the nicest we had in Morocco. If you are in Imlil I would highly recommend. NOT to be confused with the large brightly lit restaurant of similar name.

Riad Atlas Toubkal is as good as Lonely Planet says. Friendly, comfortable, clean and with hot water. We stayed here after trekking in the Atlas and I would highly recommend this rather than going straight back to Marrakesh. The rooftop terrace really does look like the photos, the bedrooms are great and the communal areas are snug and comfy. The breakfast is gorgeous - cereal, pancakes, coffee, honey, jam - could not be faulted. Thanks Omar and the team. Can't wait to return.

A great place to stay if you want to walk in the Atlas Mountains. Located in Imlil. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small but clean and have a small ensuite and balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the bedrooms and there is free wifi. The room rate included a breakfast of eggs, bread, pancakes, cereal and tea/coffee/juice. The room rate is very cheap and so this is excellent value for money.

Amazing place in the centre of Imlil. A beautiful Riad with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We had a stadard balcony room, whilst a little small (no storage for clothes etc) it was great with huge windows and a nice little balcony looking out to incredible views. The roof terrace was really nice, although we were here in November so a little chilly out of the sun. In the summer i can imagine it being awesome. Breakfast was great, very substantial typical Moroccan breakfast; (lots of) bread, jam, pancakes, eggs, coffee, tea juice etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helped us with a few local day walks whilst we were there and provided us with water too. The whole place is beautifully laid out and decorated, especially the moroccan style lanterns that are lit each evening. Cant recommend this place enough, amazing value for money! Only gripes are the room was a little small (put reasonable for what we paid!) and a little design flaw where the heating/AC unit was above the window so couldnt really be used with the curtains closed. Very minor complaints

The best accommodation I had in Morocco. Great view, super clean, very friendly staff and a delicious dinner and breakfast. All this for a low price! I can recommend this Riad to 100%! We got water for free and we had also tea and coffee in our room. The roof top terasse is perfect to hang out and relaxing. Just to mention: wifi worked not everywhere.

The bathroom / shower really wasn't amazing. The upgrade to Dar Imlil was worth it. We had a room literally right next to the reception / entrance so I didn't feel like we had the best amount of privacy. Otherwise, for the price, it's certainly fine. But just fine.

The place is correct, the breakfast is good, the price is correct, but it was cold (physically) and without (human) warmth. The place is not easy to find.

The riad is located in Imlil with amazing view of the Atlas mountains from the terrace, the room was very clean and cosy. Any concerns were dealt with high professionalism and huge generosity by the manager - Abdou. All the staff were amazing ( thank you to Ibrahim for cooking the most delicious tagine and soup ) and the Riad was best located as starting point for trekking. One of the best places we stayed in Morocco. Hugely recommended.

Amazing hosts. Arranged us a last minute dinner, trek the next morning adapted to our needs and at a great price. Their polite and respectful attitude is unbeateable. Also, the views from the place are amazing...rooftop patio offers a memorable experience at night! The rooms are clean, comfortable and easy to access. The food is great and homemade by the hosts. Highlight also is the fact that the driver we got from Marrakech charged us 800 dirhams (80euro) for the trip one way and wanted the same price to come back. We realized that the hosts here were offering the pickup for both ways for the same price...we decided to cancel with the initial driver and the hotel made everything so we did not have to deal with it. Punctual, human approach. This place is a must!!!

Great Riad! We stayed in the family room and it was clean (beds a little uncomfortable but standard for Morocco). Staff are friendly, really not much more to ask for in the heart of Imlil.

This was a wonderful place to have a quick weekend getaway. The food was great and the rooms were clean. I was very impressed at the quality of both the meals and the facilities especially since the police was so low. If your looking for a great hotel for a visit to Imlill this is the place.

The welcome at this hotel is excellent, Ibrahim is a good bloke and very anxious that all his guests should be happy. The food is very good and excellent value at 100 Dirhams for an evening meal. The room was a bit small (I had room 3 which is the smallest double, but it was ok for one) but nice and had a balcony with a stunning view. Cleanliness was excellent. There are also fantastic views from the roof terrace, with a panoramic vista of the head of the Imlil valley.

The Riad Atlas Toubkal is a good budget lodge but did not live up to the 5 star reviews we read before going. It was tired, cold, not particularly comfortable and the so-called 'superior suite was far from that (small and cold and the bed was so close to the small shower room you could almost fallen out of bed and into the shower) - we did question whether we might have been given the wrong room! As one previous reviewer commented, the professional photographs made the Riad look far more luxurious than it is, which is a shame, since that means you are immediately disappointed. The terrace was a bleak space: nothing inviting about it and I immediately fell through the single deckchair straight onto the concrete floor - ouch! (another guest told me she had done the same the day before). HOWEVER, we spoke to Abdou (the main man) and he immediately offered us a room in the sister riad, Dar Imlil. Now that really was lovely. The room had a fabulous balcony overlooking the mountain and was in sunshine all day; it was large and warm and very comfortable. The main terrace of the Riad has quirky driftwood and rope furniture and plants (conspicuous by their absence from Riad Atlas Toubkal) and a nice eating area with a lovely wood burning stove, lit for breakfast and the evening meal. So a great stay at Dar Imlil but I would not recommend Atlas Toubkal. Food was good (especially the breakfasts).

This hotel is exceptionally good value for a budget hotel. The only problem is the cold! If you are visiting in Dec/Jan, be prepared for below freezing temperatures, and inadequate heating. The daytimes are fine, but as soon as the sun goes down, it is very cold, including in Hotel. We ate in the restaurant in full ski gear, as did others. I would imagine that at any other time of the year, this would not be a problem. The whole area is delightful, and walking from village to village was a lovely experience. We did not use a guide, and felt under no pressure to do so. It would actually be quite difficult to get lost.

The main problem with this place is finding it! Accessed via a sister hotel, it has no signage on the actual building and even the locals don't know where it is. There is one sign on the main road only. The room we were expecting had been double booked. We were offered an upgraded room but for the first night only. Our room was very small. Once he was sent for, the owner/manager was very helpful and made great amends but not a good start.
