This Riad is within 3 minute to small plaza area with shopping and eating options. It is a 15 minute walk to the main medina. The Riad is very clean and staff are very helpful. Breakfast was huge and delicious including yougurt, fruit, egg, pastry and other bread type options. Always fresh squeezed OJ. Even on our early start days they privided us with a breakfast to go. The small dipping pool does not have a ladder and I did not want to chance getting stuck. Rooms are good size. Water pressure not the best but not the worst. We had them meet us at the airport. It was $50 but he waited for us as our flight was late. May have been hard the first time. I would use this Riad should we visit Marrekesk again. I would recommend the restaurant Mahla which is near the Riad. Also the small plaza is where tour groups will meet you.

Cozy riad, great location, good breadfast, great staff. I recommend 100%. Merci monsieur

Very pleasant place ,full of local character .The people who work there are very helpful and make you so welcome !! A special big thank you to the gentleman who works a night shifts & breakfast time ( sorry , but I cannot recall his name right now) who did not speak much of English, but was always so helpful ,smiling & trying his best to communicate with us to make our stay more pleasant & trouble free. The location is just great too ! If we would ever go back to Marrakesh we would certainly like to stay there again !

Cons: Everything was fine but the breakfast could be a little more varied from day to day -that is why I give 9 not 10 points.

The property is located in an alley not accessible by cars, we had to pay the Taxi driver to help us carry the luggage. The property is a simple B&B rather than a hotel and everything (even a bottle of water) is more expensive than the airport or on the plane.

The host was great—very responsive and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable.

Cons: On the day we arrived, the room assigned to us had a broken air conditioner. With temperatures reaching 37 degrees, it was unbearable, and we couldn’t sleep at all that night. I had to file a complaint with Booking.com, after which the host arranged a different room for us. Unfortunately, by then, we had already lost a night’s sleep. The owner initially refused to acknowledge that the air conditioning wasn’t working. For a triple-sized room, the AC provided was clearly underpowered—less than half a ton. We even had to request a fan. The rest of the stay was fine.

What a great experience it was to stay at the beautiful Riad Kale Polis. We arrived a little early and Anne-Marie and the team were so welcoming with their hospitality. The room was perfect and clean ; a lovely spacious bathroom, beds were comfortable - maybe could be a bit more spacious but we didn't spend much time in the room. Lovely rooftop terrace with a plunge pool - although we couldn't get the jet streams to work. No Biggie. Really close to the local square , where there are lots of amenities, restaurants, bars. The downstairs courtyard area was a great place to have breakfast and just hang out and relax. Thanks to Anne-Marie & the team for your superb hospitality. I'd recommend this place to everyone

Where to start….my husband & I have just spent a fabulous week at Riad Kale Polis. The staff were all amazing especially Omar & Ann Marie. This Riad was immaculate & so clean. Breakfast was delicious every day & consisted of a glass of diced fresh fruit, yoghurt, Seville orange juice & then a plate with either three or four options from toast, pastries & omelette. This changed daily & were all amazing. This was accompanied with freshly made coffee. There were snack & dinner options available. We only ate there once for an evening meal as we like to experience different restaurants. That said the meal we received was delicious & could not be faulted in any way. I would highly recommend staying at this Riad - the area is quiet & yet so central. It wa only a 10 min walk (max) to the main medina. We went on quite a few excursions & we were met each time at Tinsmiths square literally a two min walk from Kale Polis. We never usually go back to the same place twice but feel this may be an exception to our rule.

Great location as it was quiet and only 10 - 15 min walk to the main square or even shorter to some of the palaces. Omar was very helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and breakfast had small variations every day. Delicious orange juice and fruit salad.

Cons: The swimming pool on the roof terrace was in a corner and enclosed in (Retractable) glass). Not sure how much sun you would get there. There were only 2 sunbeds and they were located on top of a steep spiral staircase. Would not be able to go up there if you are not nimble and slim. There were some nice tables and chairs on the "lower" roof terrace, but the view is over rooftops and the palace walls, so not ideal for watching the sunset.

Staff were fantastic especially Omar! He went above and beyond to make us comfortable including giving us a breakfast snack early before breakfast hours!

Cons: Shower didn’t drain that well and water would accumulate. The fridge in the room should have a sign saying you will be charged. Water should be complimentary. Also we opted not to have our rooms cleaned on a daily basis and didn’t have the full breakfast for 3 days, we could have been given a pass on the sprite and water but minor point. Also I would suggest giving new guests a quick orientation of the room.

The room was like being in prison cell so dark and horrible, no tv in the room no shower screen no towels on arrival, no facilities to have cup of coffee or tea in the room and the whole experience was like nightmares, we stayed for one night and we had to find somewhere else next day , basically we have been robbed with our money, shame on booking.com for recommending such a place .

Cons: Everything to do with that place was a disaster I am afraid to say .

Whole place was clean. Location was good.

Cons: 1. We wanted a quiet and peaceful new year eve as had early flight to catch, however our room was on the ground floor, just next to the kitchen and the dinning tables in the hall. It’s only 1 meter away from our room to the dinning tables so we clearly couldn’t rest until 1am as it was new year eve and people laughing and talking loudly all night. 2. Breakfast was horrible, there was almost nothing to eat, no eggs no juice, only coffee, few bread, honey and tiny cheese.. 3. No lock for the room.. owner told us it’s safe and we could trust her.. I wouldn’t take the risk

The Riad was very comfortable- a home from home. It is beautifully decorated with super facilities and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning. Breakfast was provided even when we had to leave on early morning excursions. Maryam , Omar and staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I really have to compliment both Maryam and Omar. We had such an amazing holiday here! Both Mustapha's made us feel so welcome and a part of the family during our stay. The Riad is lovely with a beautiful rooftop area and and nice cold pool as well. Mustapha the manager was great at suggesting and organising day trips and excursions throughout our time in Marrakech while Mustapha the attendant was so helpful and kind and our son has made a friend for life! The location was amazing and just a short walk away from everything we needed. Riad Kale Polis helped us create such amazing family memories of our time in Marrakech. I'm sure with the way our kids talk about this place they will be back someday again!

Beautiful inside the courtyard. Room was wonderful. Mustafa, the reception guy, was so helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. Nice surprise to find the fabulous breakfast included in the price.

Cons: Thiight we were offered a complimentary coffee on arrival only to find out had to pay for it the next day: just changed the moment. The meal was really not great and the wine expensive amd no water is complimentary. Taxi to the airport was way overpriced but easy as the Riad booked it and then helped us with both our bags, so helpful and guess worth the extra cost.

We had the most fantastic stay at Riad Kale Polis. Everyone is very welcoming, friendly and helpful and was attentive to our needs. We were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea on our arrival and throughout our stay they answered our questions and were so kind and helpful. I stayed in the Riad on my birthday and they very kindly left a sweet box of biscuits in the room - details like this when staying in a hotel are wonderful. It felt so homely and comfortable. It also felt very safe and secure. The room was a great size and the beds were comfortable, the breakfast that is included was lovely and the communal spaces on the rooftop and in the courtyard were wonderful. There was a nice, small pool on the roof which was great to dip into and cool off from a day spent in the sunshine. The location of the Riad is fantastic - a very short walk from the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace and Saadian Tombs. It is also a short walk from the souks, Jemaa El-Fnna Square and Koutoubia Mosque. We also did two trips with Get Your Guide and the pick up location is at the roundabout at the end of the street. It is an excellent location and extremely convenient. The Riad itself is peaceful and calm. A great place to rest and recuperate from the hustle and bustle which is just outside. I would highly recommend staying at Riad Kale Polis, it felt like a home away from home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A huge thank you to the wonderful team who made our trip so special!

We couldn't have had a better placed Riad. Our hostess was extremely kind and accommodated us so very well. It was my daughters birthday and they made her a delicious cake to celebrate. I cannot reccommend this riad enough. Only minutes from the Ferblantiers square and a 5 minute walk to Place Jamma el Fnaa, amazing position, quiet and friendly people living in the street. We had restaurants and shops in Ferblantiers and ate and took cocktails in several of these. Service and prices were excellent.

Amazing location. Very peaceful and just on the edge of everything. We could walk to all the tourist spots and souks. Staff were super. It’s super clean. Large rooms. A little oasis. Abdou was very attentive on the terrace for drinks and breakfast.

Cons: The ONLY negative I can find is that I had a “firm” massage, which was the most expensive thing of the entire vacation, and she had no idea what to do. She needs training; plus motivation (only using one hand much of the time, and talking to her colleague).

Anne Marie, the manager, and her team were exceptionally accommodating. Someone was always available to help and give advice when needed. We did have an issue which was duly compensated. All the staff were very welcoming and very friendly The location was fantastic as it was round the corner from Bahia Palace and a short walk from Jemaa el fnaa. Catching a taxi was also relatively easy, and the local shops were also good for food and gifts. After staying in both hotels and villas on previous visits, the experience of a Riad felt a little more personal. The Riad and the rooms were cleaned every day. Our beds were made, and towels were replaced every day. We decided to have our first meal at the hotel as it was dark when we got there and wasn't sure about going out until daylight. It was cooked fresh and was the best tagine we had during our stay. The breakfast was lovely with a varied selection every day. The traditional pancakes are my favourite and could eat them every day. The team happily served breakfast on the terrace, which was beautiful, especially with the weather this time of year. This trip was the first to Marrakech for my friends, they all loved the whole experience. Other than a technical problem with our shower, we had a lovely stay.

Cons: As this was my first stay at a Riad, I didn't realise that the pool was small. The pictures didn't give a true sense of the size. Rather than a pool of this size, it would have been more welcoming to have a spa. It would have been a perfect way to relax after an eventful day. As a Muslim, ablution (spiritual cleansing before prayer) is vital in our routine, it was disappointing to see that there was nothing to facilitate this in any place that I stayed especially as Morocco is a muslim country. I understand the Riads are normally tucked away in the small streets of Marrakech, but it would be easier for travellers if it could be clearer from the main roads as the general public found it difficult to give directions without the maps.

Our room was nice and clean. The riad is very quiet, and the location is great. It is only five minutes walk to Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, Mellah and Slat Al Azama Synagogue from there. It takes about ten minutes to Jemaa el-Fnaa along Rue Riad Zitoun el Kdim. The staff are all lovely and breakfasts are very good. Good facilities. We will choose this riad again if we are ever back to Marrakech.

Cons: Nothing

Excellent room, clean, well organised and very good breakfast

Cons: Nothing… maybe some spare usb plugs would be good (honestly a minor suggestion)

Good location - walking distance to all main attractions, just next to big square with multiple shops and restaurants. Tasty breakfasts, even though the offer was almost the same every day. Quiet and peacefull place. Riad was very clean, room has been cleaned in details every day.

Cons: WiFi signal was strong, but every now and then it used to disconnect and you have to establish connection from zero. The drain in the shower wasn't 100% efficient, after few minutes water was starting to overflow and you had to make 15 minutes break, so the water level goes down.

We spent four lovely nights at this Riad in the Medina. It’s location is brilliant with its walking distance to many tourist attractions including Badi Palace, Bahia Palace and Jemaa El Fna Soul Markets. The staff were caring and attentive to all of our needs, kindly welcoming us with Morrocan mint tea on arrival. Rooms offer a book detailing information about places to visit while in Marrakesh and the opportunity to book excursions to the desert through the riad which was extremely helpful. The breakfast was traditional and tasty with great service by the team. Thank you to To Anne Marie, Rachid and the rest of the team for an amazing stay ⭐️

Cons: Facilities (e.g. pool) could’ve been better but for what you pay for are still good!

The breakfast was a traditional local meal served very nicely. The staff were so friendly and helpful and arranged all our site seeing trips. It was a real pleasure to stay with Anne Marie and her staff. They were so kind and welcoming. We had a great time. We felt we had made real friends there, we will miss the hospitality and big laughs. My wife really appreciated the massages, which was indeed excellent and helped her knee arthritis. We loved the beautiful traditional furniture.

Cons: The room was lovely, but it would've been good to have somewhere to put our suitcase.

I loved the staff who were incredibly helpful and kind, especially one of the men working there who prepared a little breakfast before we left for the desert at 7.30am (he told us his name, but I forgot). He helped us carry our suitcases to the Place des Ferblentiers and also went back to the hotel to get his cellphone to call our driver who was late. Regarding the place, it has been renovated and the rooms are comfortable, very clean, decorated in a simple, elegant, Moroccan style. The beds are really comfortable and another thing we liked a lot was that there was not any noise during the night. It is located about 15 minutes from the main square near the Badi Palace. I recommend this place 150%!

Cons: Nothing really, but it may be a bit difficult to find.

This place was amazing! We were offered some tea and biscuits upon arrival - room was very cozy and nice and spacious. They even had a small minibar! I would definitely recommend to visit Riad Kale Polis!

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room. Not in the middle of the souk, but an easy 10min walk with many shops on the way.

I highly recommend this accommodation. The personnel, Anne Marie, Younesse and the owner were the kindest people, professionals. Every service they offer worths the money you’re spending. Rooms, bathrooms, rooftops and common areas are very pretty, spacious and equipped with anything a costumer might need. They arranged a taxi-shuttle which took me to the airport at 4 am and even worried about preparing a little breakfast before leaving. Too bad my stay has been so short. I will definitely go back when I’ll happen to visit Marrakesh again!

The riad is located in a quiet, narrow alley and is about a 5-minute walk from El Badi Palace and about a 15-minute walk from Djemaa El Fna (central market square). There are several (inexpensive to medium-priced) restaurants in the neighbourhood. The riad is not a historic building. It has been extensively renovated and the rooms, bathrooms and facilities are new. The furnishings and ambience are in Moroccan style. Without being overboard. The riad was only recently opened (October/November 2023), has a roof terrace with loungers, a (whirlpool) pool and a hamman. The breakfast is typical of the country, and the kitchen is happy to fulfil any additional wishes. The staff is a heart of soul: friendly, courteous, super-helpful and always in a good mood.
