Beautiful decor, luxurious shower, and exceptionally friendly staff. They came and met me outside the medina walls, to help with my luggage and to help me find my way. Hospitality was wonderful - tea and cake upon arrival. I arrived late and had to leave early, so I didn't get to fully appreciate the place. Would recommend for a longer stay. Very safe for a female American traveling alone.

The Riad is spotless. Beautifully decorated. Walking distance to many must sees. The staff is so helpful and kind. I got lost twice. Malika at the front desk came for me, smiling calling my name. Food is outstanding. Milouda has been there 20 years and her meals are delicious. I took all mine at the property. Malika also walked with me to show me how to get to the square, where to change money. They are happy to make your stay perfect. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

Cons: Every single detail was perfect. I loved this property.

Super recomendado!!!!

The staff was simply amazing. They were very attentive and available. Those cleaning the riad kept it spotless. The two gentlemen managing things day and night were nothing short of perfection. They assisted us with airport pick up, luggage transfers, snack on the roof, going to the market to pick up coffee for a gift, breakfast of champions, directions, massages (which was fabulous btw), and the list goes on. The location was just a 10 minute easy walk from the main square. It was truly an oasis amongst the Marrakech madness. The rooftop in the evening was relaxing and beautiful.

The property is beautiful inside and it is located in a central location with easy walking access to the main street and main market square of the medina, the mosque and the palace. The staff were attentive and pleasant and took excellent care of us during our stay. Their 1-day laundry service was reasonably priced and helped us travel light. If this is your first visit to Morocco, I would recommend taking them up on their offer for an airport pick-up because you have to use a porter to access this Riad and most others in the medina and you'll have to work this out on your own if you don't make an arrangement in advance. That being said, we found everyone very helpful and we did manage this on our own.

Cons: Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues as all the rooms require the use of stairs, though this seems to be more the rule than the exception with all riads in the medina.

Riad Samsli is a true hidden gem in the heart of Marrakech’s medina. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with mint tea and pastries — a warm gesture that set the tone for my entire stay. The staff is exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The riad is tastefully decorated, offering plenty of relaxing spaces, including peaceful rooftop terraces that are perfect for escaping the bustle of the city. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is ideal — just a few minutes’ walk from Jemaa el-Fna, yet tucked away enough to ensure peace and quiet. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served in a calm and relaxing setting. However, for guests who need to leave early, before 8 AM, it would be helpful to offer an earlier breakfast option or a takeaway package. Overall, Riad Samsli provides an authentic and comfortable experience in Marrakech. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return!

We looked to achieve a balance between tradional marrocan accommodation, but without missing essentials when it comes to comfort. Furthermore we looked for a location inside the medina, but still have a reachable bus station in the area. Mission accomplished, thank you Riad Samsli for the pleasent stay. :-) On our arrival day, the room was decorated with rose petals. It looked beautiful. The staff is very nice and they adapt to your needs, in our case an early breakfast time. The house in general is maintained well (minor exception see below). We liked the houses architecture and the view from top of the building.

Cons: In the bath tub you have 4 tabs. The system is a little bit complicated, especially since one tab is probrably broken.

Sophien looked after us from beginning to end. He didn't just focus on the property, he made sure to understand our overall trip, got us a porter when we needed it and ensured we were helped on our way to a Toubkal Trek.

Cons: The lighting in our room was really poor. We needed to repack our suitcases and we realized we had to get it done before the sun set. However, there are many spaces in the Riad that would allow for good lighting for reading and relaxing.

Our stay at this riad in Marrakesh was absolutely incredible! What impressed us the most was the genuine hospitality of the staff — they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. A special thank you to Malika, who kindly printed our plane tickets and even prepared breakfast early in the morning before our flight. Truly heartwarming service! The riad is beautiful, with a spectacular view from the terrace. Having breakfast up there was so peaceful — a moment of pure serenity. On arrival, we were welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea, which we enjoyed while admiring the elegance of the riad. Our room was lovely and spotless. The only small downside was the lighting, a bit dim even during the day — but everything else was perfect, so it barely mattered. The location was perfect too — super close to the center, just a 10-minute walk from the main square. We couldn’t recommend this place more — a magical stay from start to finish!

Cons: The lighting of the room, a bit dim even during the day — but everything else was perfect, so it barely mattered.

My stay at Riad Samsli was incredibly enjoyable. The Riad is beautiful, with lots of places to sit outside. The location is great as well, very near the Medina, but still quiet (you can hear the birds sing!). But the personnel is what makes the place extraordinary. They are all super helpfull, kind, and interested. For me, the contact with the staff and how helpful they are, was wat made my stay stand out. The food is incredible, it was actually the best I had in Marrakech. And it's not just the breakfast (which is a lot and very nice), but especially dinner was super tasty! I had the one-person-room, which was perfect. I also really appreciated the pricing, which was more than reasonable for a solo traveller. My stay at Riad Samsli has warmed my heart, it was a home away from home and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience an authentic Riad in Marrakech.

Cons: My stay was wonderful, so no suggestions for improvement. I do think that some people might not like that the room is adjacent to an open court yard, this means that it is not dead quiet. However, while I was there, it was quiet between 22:00 and 08:00, all the guests also take this into account and are quiet. Also, the pool is a bit small and not heated. I was there end of March, it was not really appealing to go in. But for me this was not something that influenced my wonderful experience at Samsli.

The staff told us on arrival "this is your Riad" - and we felt like it was. They were all young, welcoming and the atmosphere was wonderful as they all got on so well together. Nothing was too much trouble. The roof terraces were oases of tranquillity after the city bustle. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide variety of food available including home made yoghurt, pancakes and jams. They were happy to prepare dinner for us if pre-booked after we'd been out on a day trip, which was very good. WiFi was excellent and available throughout. Location was excellent, very peaceful but also within about 10 minutes walk of the Place des Ferblantiers with restaurants, ATMs and taxis. We felt very lucky to have hit on it among all the Riads available and would strongly recommend it.

Cons: There was nothing we disliked. Guests need to be aware that the building is a historic one so there isn’t a lift but the stairs are comfortable to use and well-designed if your mobility is a little challenged.

The staff were lovely and very attentive. They ordered a taxi from the station for us. The location was perfect for the main sights of Marrakesh but the riad was quiet and tucked away. © I totally fell in love with Marrakesh and this stunning Riad! Located right in the Medina this Riad is absolutely stunning. As soon as you step inside, you are welcomed buy the calming sound from a stunning water fountain (with petals of roses) and a gorgeous scent of fleurs d'oranger. The stunning "Sultana Suite" with its own private rooftop is to die for.. (everything from the choice of decor to the amazingly comfortable king size bed is Top Notch!!) But what I totally adore the most is the wonderful staff! Everyone is kind, attentive and damn professional, from Milodaa the amazing cook to Hadnane the perfect host... and my all time favourite: Soufiane! this place would NOT be the same without him!!! I will hopefully return soon to see them and stay once again at stunning Riad Samsli ❤️

The breakfast here is excellent. Plenty of choice and the offer of freshly cooked eggs too. The rooms were clean. The interior communal areas are very pretty.

Cons: We booked upgraded rooms........but these were really small; only wide enough for the bed and 2 tiny side tables. We were so disappointed as the previous Riad we had stayed in had really spacious rooms. Also, all the reviews said this was a great place to stay; we thought it was ok. The air conditioning did not work in either room. The battery operated control should be checked for flat batteries.

Great location, swimming pool is small but ok for refresh yourself after hot days. There’s a guy Mustafa super helpful- amazing ❤️

Cons: Difficult to find way on the car, parking not incl in the price and far away. A lot of people wanted help by payment, stuff couldn’t explain that, also on booking.com is wrong address, so we pay extra 25€ for a guy showing parking and parking for 2 days. When I told manager we paid ext, he replied-it’s not his problem. Only when we a leaving he was super polite- probably for booking.com rating. Roof dirty they don’t use at all, next riad on construction, starting 8 am, a bit noisy. Hamman looks poor and cheap style. We didn’t use.

Okay just to get it straight: I made a non refundable booking on 7.8.23. I unfortunately had to cancel on 8.8.23. Me and Booking.com reached out to you and we received no answer for three days to make possible adjustments with your courtesy. Then I texted you on 11.8.23. You kindly responded on 11.08. saying I could change the dates. We tried to change dates and I checked the following days on your open rooms several times for the period of 12.09-15.09.23. We tried to contact you on WhatsApp and telefone and booking app for 3 days but you told us that Assistent was with the WhatsApp number on vacation. Funny. There was availability for 3 superior rooms for 240 Euro. After you called with Hasna you took off the rooms and offered the Junior Suite with ofcourse higher price. We didn’t go for a date change but look for another location in September. Thanks much.

Great Riad. Very friendly staff, nice clean rooms, and a very peacefull environment.

Cons: Its a bit hard to find, since you have to go through a few narrow streets to get to the Riad, but when you know where it is, there's not a single negative point left.

It's one of the best Riads to stay at! This place really sets the standards for premium guesthouses in Marrakesh! I will be visiting again!

Superb riad. Really close to many of the major tourist attractions. Staff were so helpful and kind. Comfy rooms, brilliant showers, and the plunge pool was perfect after after a long day on our feet. Plentiful breakfast that was delicious. Have Moroccan tea as often as possible, one of the best we tried. Really recommend this riad.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the Riad was super clean, well appointed and in a great location. The breakfast was really good and plentiful. It’s really a nice find in Marrakesh

The room was absolutely beautiful! The whole riad was also gorgeous with amazing roof access and view, and it had so many different sitting areas and options! Staff was also very helpful when we needed a very quick bite to eat for breakfast (10 min before a tour), even though we didn’t give them a warning. Same with being accommodating even when we were late for breakfast, they still prepared a small omelette which was lovely.

Cons: The room was a little cold, despite the wall heater, partially because of its placement by the beautiful wall of windows which aren’t that well insulated. This was in late January and temperatures dropped to near zero at night. However, the staff was incredibly accommodating and brought an extra space heater when we asked.

Wonderful staff, and the food was the best we had in Morocco. A historic building with a great rooftop view. The location is perfect for visiting Djemaa el Fna and the souks.

Cons: Like many riads, it’s tough to find. Absolutely make arrangements for a taxi where the staff can meet you and walk you to the riad.

Absolutely loved this place. The Medina is absolute bedlam. Dodging suicidal motorcyclists as you walk down the narrow packed streets is tiring but just yards away from all this mayhem is this completely tranquil and relaxing retreat with not a sound to be heard. Relaxing in the courtyard with a pot of hot mint tea after a busy day, watching the rose petals in the central fountain was a welcome restorative. The staff were excellent. Especial thanks to Anand, Hamid and Mohamed and the cook whose name I did not catch. The food was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a great stay.

Cons: Finding the place when we first arrived was a bit of a nightmare. We were dropped off at the roundabout at the top of the street as it is not accessible by car and our taxi driver told us it was directly off this street but it wasn't. It was actualy right down an alleyway and then right again and the another right. It took us a stressful half hour to find it. I suggest that you enlarge google maps and familiarise yourself with the directions before you arrive.

We were met from our taxi and walked to the Riad. It was squeaky clean, had a safe in the room, a plunge pool and was in a great location. We stayed in a different Riad at the end of our stay which wasn't half as nice!

Cons: Nothing.

The staff were excellent - very attentive and accommodating. The riad itself is stunning, and very well located. There’s a taxi rank nearby, and is walkable to most tourist attractions.

Cons: A little hard to find - down a couple of side streets which can be hard to find, and a little disconcerting at night. The area, however, is safe and busy.

Quiet location, at the same time couple minutes walking from the central square in Medina. Interior of the riad is authentic, with attention to details. Loved the possibility to use the pool which is a great extra especially when the heat is outside. Great breakfast, very polite and helpful staff. Definitely try lunch or dinner there, as they are making really tasty meals. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Cons: Sometimes Wi-Fi was not working properly.
