Pobyt w Riadzie był sam w sobie świetnym doświadczeniem podróżniczym. Zaadoptowany do celów pobytu gości piękny dom, z przestronnymi, czystymi pokojami. Pyszne śniadania w stylu francuskim. Słoneczny taras na dachu i basen na parterze pozwalały świetnie się zrelaksować po doświadczeniu miasta. Obiekt oddalony nieco od głównej ulicy co daje poczucie ciszy i oddzielenia od tego kontrolowanego, ale jednak chaosu Marakeszu. Szczególne podziękowania dla pracowników Riadu - Fatimy i Mustafy. Także dzięki ich uprzejmości i życzliwości pobyt był wyjątkowy.
Cons: Ważne, aby nie trzymać w pokoju jedzenia bez szczelnego zamknięcia. Mrówki tylko na to czekają.

Cons: Le taxi qui devait nous récupérer devant la sortie n'était pas là... stress, attente, besoin d'utiliser les données internet pour contacter le numéro de l'hôtel, au total 60€ pour 2 minutes d'internet... il arrive 10 minutes après en disant qu'il était au parking... bref service mauvais, chauffeur pas sympa... dommage. Cela gâche le sentiment positif du riad. (le manager devait nous rembourser les 15€ de la course... pas fait...).

The riad is amazing, beautiful, great location, a few steps and you’re in the souks, we could pretty much walk everywhere. Ahmed was a great host, explaining everything and showing us a good restaurant to go to on our first night, the exchange office and booking a taxi from the airport for us. The breakfast was also great, we really liked how diverse and filling it was. We used the pool twice to cool down a little, but the AC in our room kept us cold when it was 40° outside so that was a huge plus. The room was very nice, perfect for 2 people. We couldn’t hear anything from outside, and it felt like we were alone in the riad :) Great value for your money, can’t recommend enough and thank you again to Ahmed!
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, so it took twice as long to shower, but that’s only a small minus on otherwise a perfect stay.

Cons: The information on Booking for check out time is slightly misleading as it states from 11-19h. Checkout the Riad is 11am, (we had planned our checkout time for 13h) , which slightly messed up our plans for the day. However we were able to leave our luggage at the Riad and checked out at 11.30am.

La ubicación, aunque no es mala, es verdad que hay que andar un poco hasta llegar al centro neurálgico de Marrakech, la plaza Ben Jamal Fna, pero es un pequeño paseo. Para repetir cuando volvamos a Marrakech.

Ahmed went over and above for us and tended to our every need during our stay - from helping us with a food delivery, ensuring we had all we needed in the room (inc an iron) and booking our taxi … etc etc.

De ligging is fantastisch, midden in de medina. De riad zelf is verrassend mooi en ruim. De eigenaar komt je halen bij de taxi en is heel gastvrij. Al het personeel van de riad staat voor je klaar en de sfeer is erg gemoedelijk. De patio en de diverse relax plekken op de verschillende (dak) terassen zorgen voor veel comfort. Het is erg schoon en ontbijt voortreffelijk. De kamer was top. Een hele dikke aanrader!

El desayuno estaba genial, el único problema es que yo soy celiaca y no habían muchas cosas, pero algo sí que pude. La ubicación es genial, el riad esta chulísimo y es super limpio. El chico que esta Mustafh es super majo, vino a recogernos al taxi ya que no podía entrar por las callejuelas. También hicimos un Hammam y vinieron Amina y Asmae y fueron super majas y nos gusto mucho la experiencia.

Ahmeds vriendelijkheid was echt fijn. Na onze reis werden we hartelijk door hem ontvangen. Omdat we een avondvlucht hadden, vroegen we of er nog een kleine maaltijd geregeld kon worden. Ahmed regelde dit met veel plezier, en het was heerlijk. Gedurende ons verblijf stelde hij zich altijd beschikbaar om ons te helpen.

De riad was eenvoudig te vinden omdat er pijltjes hingen in de souks. Er was een deurbel aanwezig zo kon je altijd eenvoudig naar binnen gaan. De kamer was heel netjes, groot en mooi. Het was er heel rustig en de eigenaar was heel vriendelijk. We hadden via hen een taxi geregeld naar het station. De eigenaar is met ons mee gewandeld tot uit de souks waar de taxi ons stond op te wachten. Dit maakte het heel eenvoudig en betrouwbaar. Het was tot nu toe het beste ontbijt dat we hebben gekregen in een Riad.

Lovely historical Riad - event better than the pictures suggest. It’s right in the middle of the Medina but once you close the door in The Riad it’s very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. The staff are also amazing and really helpful - generally excellent overall.
Cons: The only thing to be aware of is that if you get a taxi to the accommodation it will only get you to about 5 mins walk away from the Riad and you will need to walk the rest - we arrived at night and it wasn’t the easiest place to find in the dark.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was so delicious, best tangine we had in the city. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Everything about the riad was wonderful. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the rooms were beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: We had two reservations with a small gap in between. The larger room was great, and the next one we had was smaller, but we actually liked its design even more. It was perfect for two people. The only downside was that the window faced the street, so it could be a bit noisy. However, we had earplugs, so it didn’t bother us.

Personalet var fantastiske, spesielt Ahmed som var helt super. Alltid blid og hyggelig. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Le gérant du Riad est venu nous chercher à la sortie du taxi. Le Riad était propre et tout le monde est au petit soin…. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable et l’endroit où on le prend est charmant. Le repas du soir était délicieux et vraiment copieux. Nous avons passé un bon séjour …. Merci à vous

Adoramos a localização, adoramos a beleza do espaço e principalmente a simpatia dos funcionários. A Fátima foi sempre super atenciosa e o Hamed e o Mustapha foram sempre incansáveis para termos a melhor experiência. Recomendamos muito que peçam o transfer para o Riad, pois o Moahmed foi impecável até à chegada. O espaço era super limpo e cuidado. Não podemos deixar de falar do pequeno almoço, era excelente!

Det absolut bästa med riaden var den kvinna som kom dit och gjorde en hamambehandling med massage. I synnerhet hamamskrubben var underbar och jag skulle rekommendera den till alla. Dessutom var det prisvärt, 499 dir för allt. Även poolen var trevlig och solterassen var fin. Det är vacker riad. Frukosten var mycket lik den frukost vi fått på alla andra riader i Marocko. Den var helt ok. Fatima som lagade frukosten var hjälpsam och förtjänar ett extra omnämnande.
Cons: Vi hade sviten med med vackra taket. Även om det var ett stort och vackert rum, så motsvarade det inte riktigt förväntningarna. Det var stora spickor i putsen överallt och värst var en hemsk lukt som väckte mig första natten. Det visade sig att duschavloppet hade varit igenpluggat vid vår ankomst, men eftersom mitt resesällskap tagit en dusch på kvällen så var han tvungen att dra ur proppen för att släppa ut vattnet. Det hade varit bra om vi vid ankomst hade informerats att pluggen alltid måste vara i mellan duschar för att slippa stank i hela sviten.

Äußerst freundliches Personal, dass stets mit Rat & Tat zur Seite steht. Prima Frühstück. Direkt in der Medina, trotzdem absolut ruhig gelegen. Schöner kleiner Pool für eine nachmittägliche Abkühlung und eine tolle Dachterasse um über den Dächern der Medina den Sonnenuntergang anzuschauen. Unser Zimmer war groß und komfortabel.

Cons: The heating could be better. When 2 degrees outside in January at night better general heating is necessary for us tourist coming from general 23 degrees heating indoor. In the large suite and breakfast room more heating was needed. Will propose you to write indoor pool is not heated. Also that you pay more than tips for luggage to be brought to hotel.

Staff very helpful whenever we spoke with them. Definitely have the staff meet you when you arrive as I think I would have struggled to find it first time without their guidance.

The staff was super nice. The property is beautiful. Bedrooms are authentic Moroccan.
Cons: A tv would be a nice to have, not in the bedrooms, but in a small room, next to the patio. This would allow for some time together. I understand that noise is a concern, so it should be prepared to deal with that. Also air conditioning does not work properly and hot water for showers runs out very quickly in the morning.

El desayuno fue maravilloso y la atención excelente. A pesar de que debíamos salir a una excursión antes del horario habitual, se adaptaron sin ningún problema y nos sirvieron el desayuno antes de hora, lo que nos permitió disfrutarlo con total tranquilidad.
Cons: El acceso al riad puede resultar algo complicado, ya que se encuentra en una zona histórica con calles laberínticas, algo totalmente normal en la medina. El transporte desde el aeropuerto no llega directamente hasta la puerta, pero si se contrata el servicio a través del alojamiento, vienen a recogerte, te acompañan hasta el riad y te dan indicaciones muy útiles para orientarte durante la estancia.

Riad Assala is absolutely stunning and in an amazing location. There are fabulous views from the rooftop and would definitely recommend watching a sunrise or two. Not only did we love the accommodation, but every single member of staff was fantastic! We had an airport pickup arranged, with Ahmed coming to collect us and our bags to walk through the pedestrianised streets to the Riad. We were greeted by smiles and kindness by everyone, with a top notch breakfast every morning! We could not recommend Riad Assala and everyone that works there enough!

We’re a family from New York City, and I traveled with my husband and our 2-year-old. Riad Assala is perfectly located in the heart of the Medina, making it so easy to explore, experience the local culture, and try incredible food. Despite being right in the middle of the action, the riad itself is peaceful and quiet — a calm escape from the busy streets outside. The staff were truly wonderful. Lala Fatna, Mustapha, Ahmed, and especially Fatima made us feel so cared for. Fatima even accompanied us and walked us to our taxi when we left. Their breakfast was hearty and delicious, and the rooftop is a lovely place to relax. We had a great stay and would love to return the next time we’re in Marrakech.

J’ai été accueilli avec bien vaillance par le personnel ils sont au petit soin pour vous j’ai eu affaire à Ahmed et Moustafa pendant mon séjour et ils ont toujours trouvé une solution à mes attentes.Il y a rien à redire sur la prestation un petit déjeuner copieux et excellent avec de bon produit un repas fabuleux et un Riad juste magnifique super bien placé et d’une tranquillité reposante avec un personnel agréable et très gentil. Location. We did get a warm welcome from the staff initially but when we raised issues the tone changed a little bit. Nice upstairs outside area. Appreciative of the security to walk you to the riad as it is down a very dark alleyway that you need to turn your flash light on for.
Cons: Unable to use the shower as the head position was fixed to the wall and the shower had no door which in turn just flooded the bathroom. The draining system in the shower also didn't work so you had to wash your hair in intervals. The air con leaked. The pillows were the worst pillows we have come across. Appeared years old and balling. Very uncomfortable. Hair and stains on the sheets. Did not feel comfortable sleeping in it. The hoover could have been used more for rugs on the floor. No plug sockets beside the twin bed. The breakfast was also very very poor. No fresh fruit but just a lot of bread. It is a set menu. We had to go and get breakfast somewhere else. You could hear everything happening inside the riad from the bedroom. Inside noise not outside noise. Like the doorbell ringing or the gas being lit in the kitchen.

Deze raampjes zorgden ervoor dat het geluid van het midden pleintje, waar de ontbijtruimte was, tot in de kamer kwam.

La miglior struttura che si possa trovare nella Medina. Ahmed (perdonami se sbaglio il modo di scriverlo) e la sua equipe sono stati super ospitali, davvero dolci e premurosi. Tante piccole attenzioni che non sono passate inosservate, prendersi cura dei clienti non è una cosa da tutti. La struttura tipica vi farà immergere in un ambiente davvero unico. Ho amato ogni cosa di questo posto…. Abbiamo passato solo una notte purtroppo, poiché il nostro viaggio comprendeva altri programmi; ma se dovessi ritornare un giorno qui… tornerei da Ahmed! Grazie

Cons: Even though the location is close to where the action is . The alley ways to the Riad are dark and dingy with an awful smell of what is likely to be cat poo and pee. There are cats everywhere. It could be quite an intimidating place if you’re on your own. It’s also quite difficult to find and unless you know where to go and or have good inet connection you might struggle finding it. There’s no facilities in the room for hot drinks but a small bottle of water is provided each day. The shower in our room was poor and so were the shower gel and shampoo provided. Hot water seemed to be hit and miss. The aircon was ok and so despite the heat being in the mid 30,s every day the room did stay cool

La proximité avec Jamal FNA et le petit déjeuner qui était assez bon. Le riad était assez calme pour l'emplacement.
Cons: Le jour du départ il y a eu un malentendu avec un employé et il s'est montré désagréable et plus du tout professionnel et il a fini par être froid jusqu'à notre départ du riad. Il y avait un problème avec la chasse d'eau, malheureusement après avoir sollicité le personnel à plusieurs reprises pour la réparer, on a dû faire avec du début jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour.

Em geral, gostamos muito de tudo! Podemos destacar a beleza da Riad, o maravilhoso pequeno almoço - sempre feito no momento!, a extrema simpatia e atenção dos funcionários, foram incríveis!. Realmente é muito agradável passar uns dias nesta Riad.
Cons: Neste aspeto, o podemos destacar é que apesar da Riad ter uma excelente localização, pois está dentro do coração da Medina, a sua localização exata não é muito clara e é necessário ajuda. A Riad fica numas ruas mais escondidas, e a partir de certa hora requer algum cuidado em andar sempre por ruas com pessoas. Em particular, numa noite, o gps mandou por uma rua que não era comum (a Medina é um verdadeiro labirinto 😄) e fomos apanhados numa pequena cilada em que dois rapazes supostamente não indicaram a “melhor” rua para ir mas a meio parou-nos e pediu-nos dinheiro de forma muito intensa! :)

El alojamiento es muy bonito, super cuidado y limpio. Nos recibieron con te y unaa pastas. El desayuno muy correcto y la ubicación perfecta, a unos 10 minutos andando de la plaza, pero está muy bien porque cuando sales ya tienes todos los bazares alrededor. La zona llena de sitios bonitos para comer. Repetiriamos sin duda.
Cons: La única cosa que cuando contratamos el traslado al aeropuerto de vuelta nos dijeron un precio y cuando estabamos dentro del coche uno de los trabajadores del riad y el chofer nos dijeron otro precio, y yo les enseñé que lo teníamos por mail y todo el precio, pero no teníamos otra opción que aceptar el nuevo precio porque salía nuestro vuelo.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the riad! Everything was perfect – the breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the pool was just lovely. What touched us the most was their thoughtfulness: they kindly prepared our breakfast very early in the morning so we could enjoy it before our departure. That meant so much to us. The riad itself is stunning – beautifully decorated, peaceful, and very photogenic. Every corner felt like a little piece of magic. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech. Thank you for making our stay so special!Everything was amaizing

Vanaf het vliegveld maakten we gebruik van de taxi service van de Riad. Dit is ons super bevallen. Daarna werden we warm ontvangen in het Riad met thee, koekjes en een korte rondleiding. Het verblijf zelf was ook heerlijk. Wat een oase van rust op een super centrale plek in de medina. De kamers waren schoon en comfortabel, de nachten waren rustig (geen geluid van buitenaf) en het ontbijt was prima. Vanaf het Riad loop je zo de souks in, en er is altijd iemand die de deur voor je opendoet wanneer je terugkomt. Ik raad het zeker aan, en kom de volgende keer zeker hier terug!

Ce riad est un enchantement. Très bien placé, très calme, très bien décoré. Notre petit déjeuner (excellent) nous a été servi 20 mn avant pour faciliter notre départ vers l'aéroport. Le personnel est adorable. J'ai tellement aimé. On se croirait dans un décor des 1000 et une nuit.

Vraag vooral naar Amina voor een behandeling in de Hammam en massage en maak gebruik van de aangeboden taxiservice (tegen betaling) van en naar het vliegveld, scheelt je een hoop tijd en gezoek in de wirwar van straatjes.

Cons: Onze airco is helaas kapot gegaan tijdens ons verblijf. Er kwam meteen iemand langs om dit te maken maar tijdens de nacht drupte het water op ons, we moesten uiteindelijk aan de andere kant van het bed slapen om hier zo weinig mogelijk last van te hebben.

Nous avons séjourné durant 4 jours dans le magnifique Riad Assala où nous avons vraiment apprécié le calme du lieu, les différents espaces proposés dans ce Riad, mais avant tout l’accueil et le service proposé par tous les membres de l’équipe; Mustafa, Ahmed, Fatima ainsi que Kabira, qui étaient là pour répondre à chacune de nos attentes. Des chambres spacieuses, un petit déjeuné généreux et différent tous les jours. C’était vraiment un havre de paix et pourtant situé en pleins cœur de la médina! Merci pour tout! Vous avez vraiment participé à ce que nos vacances soient un aussi bon souvenir

La cour, les chambres, les balcons, les portes, les céramiques, mais aussi le mobilier et la décoration, chaque détail a été réalisé dans les règles de l’art. Des éléments datant du 17eme siècles ont été valorisés dans la rénovation. C’est superbe. La gentillesse, la disponibilité et le sourire de Monsieur Ahmed et du personnel sont sans équivalent et ont contribué à rendre ce séjour exceptionnel.

Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We voelden ons heel erg welkom en we werden goed verzorgd. De locatie is perfect en op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden. Het ontbijt was lekker en gevarieerd. Er zijn veel leuke hoekjes binnen en buiten om te zitten en te genieten van de zon.

We absolutely loved our stay! The riad was exceptional and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We loved dipping in the pool after a long day of walking and then sunbathing on the rooftop. The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. We had a lovely meal which we really enjoyed. The location is also great for exploring Marrakech.
Cons: We had a bit of an unpleasant experience with the driver who did our airport transfers. He was shouting on the phone and then kept stopping the vehicle and did not tell us what was going on. We completely understand there is a language barrier however when we repeatedly asked him what was going on we were ignored and ended up sat in the vehicle stationary on a number of occasions for a very long time with no idea what was going on. We also tipped the driver well despite the experience as this is expected. However he then tried to tell us he had no change on the return journey despite us already agreeing to pay him extra. Not a great experience with him however this has no reflection on the stay at all.

Men alt virkelig skønt. Anbefaler at tilkøbe lufthavnstransport, det fungerer bare og det er lige til hoveddøren. Lækreste kaffebar lige om hjørnet.

Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt zentral in der Media und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in direkter Nähe. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilft bei allem und auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das einzige negative war leider, dass unser Zimmer im Erdgeschoss war und dort kaum Tageslicht reinkam und es etwas modrig roch.

Cons: Purtroppo la strada per arrivare al riad è un po tetra e non ispira molta fiducia entrandoci (come un po' tutte le stradine laterali nel centro). Consiglio fortemente di farvi venire a prendere dal personale del riad la prima volta che arrivate perché non è facile trovarlo.

Mais encore on m’a facturé une photocopie que j’ai demandé et le clou de la fin pas de petit déjeuné à notre départ !!!!!! Je ne recommande pas du tout cet endroit

When we first enter the property we are greeted by ahmed who welcome us with a tea while our room is being prepared. Everything was clean and tidy and the place smells wonderful. Ahmed was very nice and tour us the whole place even though we are only staying for the night. I hope we stayed here for more than one day. Its closer to a lot of nice restaurants and boutique. I think it is in the most cleanest or poshier place. Just a few minutes walk to ben youssaf. The rooftop was amazing with lots of sun beds. This is only the time we experience the moroccan sunset in the city. We book a twin room that is overlooking the pool. The room is very clean and tidy. Everything was just there. The shower and toilet was so tidy too. There wasn’t a foul odor smell coming from the toilet which some riad does as for my previous accomodation.

This was a nice riad to stay in. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were nice. The breakfast was also wonderful. This is not as close to the main square as other riads - but I actually preferred it as it was a convenient location and there was lots to do just around the hotel.

Prachtige Riad in de medina. Het laatste stukje lopend er naartoe in het donker was verontrustend: heel donker, gepaard met een riool lucht. Gelukkig werden we opgehaald door een zeer vriendelijke man van het hotel. Eenmaal binnen wachtte ons een grote verrassing. De Riad was prachtig! De kamer was mooi, comfortabel maar wel wat gehorig. Het meubilair op de dakterrassen was verouderd. Het diner en ontbijt waren prima verzorgd.

Cons: Je voyage régulièrement et j'ai trouvé le petit déjeuner pas copieux. La piscine n'était pas chauffée donc impossible d'y accéder. Le lieu était bruyant et la sonnerie du Riad était extrêmement forte ce qui fait que les personnes qui rentraient plus tard dans la soirée me réveillait. Et le clou du spectacle, on nous a demandé de régler en liquide sur place et la somme ne correspondait pas à celle indiquée sur mon booking. Mais la personne n'a rien voulu savoir et m'a dit de voir avec vous ....cela ne m'était jamais arrivé c'est vraiment inacceptable de se faire piéger ainsi....

Tolles Riad mitten in der Medina von Marrakesch. Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Marrakesch sehr genossen. Jeden Morgen sind wir mit einem leckeren Frühstück in den Tag gestartet. Nach einer Tour durch die Stadt (alles fußläufig erreichbar) oder einem Ausflug lässt es sich wunderbar auf der Dachterrasse entspannen.

I luoghi in comune erano carini ed era a 10 minuti dalla piazza principale quindi posizione ottima. Ma il loro fiore all’occhiello è il personale, gentilissimo, disponibile, carino. Sopratutto un signore con cui avevano legato di più. Premuroso, sorridente e sempre super disponibile con noi. Lui merita una valutazione altissima!
Cons: la camera è piccola e ha diversi problemi: l’acqua si passa da quella bollente a quella fredda in pochissimo tempo, il phono non funzionava, il telecomando del condizionatore non funzionava e la colazione era un menu fisso e io mangiavo purtroppo poco di quello che ci portavano ma il personale trovava sempre il modo di aiutarci e venirci incontro. Non è ben segnalato tanto che abbiamo dovuto chiedere a diverse persone del posto se sapevano come arrivare (si deve entrare in una piccola viuzzola un po’ inquietante per arrivare).

Our hosts were accommodating, friendly and professional. We arranged transfers from and to the airport. The Riad is difficult to find if you are new to Marrakech, so this was a good option as Ahmed met us at the drop-off point and walked us to the Riad. We were then given tea before we could have access to the room. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated Moroccan style. The owners have done a fantastic job of renovating the Riad. Plenty of Communal areas to relax, sunbathe or take a quick dip in the pool. The Riad is based around two courtyards, each with terraces. It really was a bit like a fort with many different areas and stairways. Breakfast was plentiful and varied each day. The Riad was quiet, peaceful and serene. Great location in the centre of the Medina and in a nice area of Marrakech. You have an option to order an evening meal if you wish.

Stunning riad in a great location inside the medina and a brief walking distance from the souks, less than 10 minutes away from the main square with other main places of interest not far at all. As soon as you step inside, the hustle and bustle fades and you are greeted by calmness and sanctuary. The riad has 6 rooms, so even though it was full it never felt busy or crowded. There is the pool, multiple terraces and several hideaways that offer a different space to the gorgeous rooms. The room was the mini suite and was spacious with a large double and an extra single. The bathroom was open and gorgeous with a large bath and walk in shower. Breakfast was perfect each morning. The same structure with eggs, bread, jams, coffee/ tea, juice and yogurt plus a sweet treat and another flour based dish (both of which changed each day). What completes the Riad is the team who make it work... always on hand and always keeping the environment clean and welcoming! To sum up, in one sentence, they provide a padlock for the ornate doors.... it wasn't used once.
Cons: This isn't a dislike - a clarification on the location. The medina is tight, busy and a maze. Unless you are in the middle of square (no thank you), it can feel like a maze. On arrival, followed the instructions to the letter and found it with ease. It's a few turns off a busy pedestrian crossroad. Not scary at all. So any of the reviews criticising the location, are unfair.

Cons: On the minus side is the dinner we decided to have on our first night. I've got an automated email via Booking that Riad is offering dinner, replied to it with additional questions since we were travelling with our children who has tomato allergy and asked about a menu, only to get another automated email. Then I've decided to contact the host asking about the menu, on her WhatsApp. I've got an reply that she will send me the menu in the evening. Following day (day before our arrival) I've contacted her again asking about dinner choice for my child, same again no menu/choice provided. Once we have arrived we were told she is getting a sandwich for a dinner. I've said that that is not what we asked for, and that sandwich is not good enough as a dinner, but that's what chef prepared. My daughter ended up having my main course for her dinner, as sandwich is not something she would eat or did we agreed on that. Asking price was 25€ per person, we got mixed salad for the starter, chicken tajine as main, and orange with cinnamon as a dessert..along with a sandwich. Dinner was solid, nothing wrong with it, but again nothing we agreed on when it comes to childs meal. We ended up paying 660DH for that dinner. Price of that sandwich was 10€. It feels like a scam as sandwich was not worth that price, and not something we would order or agreed to. There is a massive choice of restaurants nearby with great food, that is way cheaper than this. Definitely would not recommend having dinner there without knowing what's on offer and actual price.

We loved the location of Riad Assala - right in the middle of the Medina and very near to some wonderful museums, gardens and restaurants. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The staff were 100% perfect, kind, friendly, helpful and a delight. We loved them.
Cons: We had the Hamam - which was meant to be like a very hot sauna, but it was cold, and even though we tried to communicate this with the lady who was doing the scrubbing, she didnt speak English or understand our gestures. So we were shivvering. Sadly we then had to wait for the massage to follow, which was also in a cold room. It must be said that these ladies were not staff members, and just need to be told.

L'esperienza in questo Riad è stata molto buona. 3 stelle alla camera perché non è stata all'altezza del resto dei servizi. Lo scarico del lavandino non funzionava e gestire la temperstura dell'acqua della doccia è stato un po' articolato in quanto o era molto, troppo, calda o fredda. Le tende non pulitissime e serve una rinfrescata alle pareti del bagno. La colazione è buonissima sia dolce che salata e con prodotti freschi e il pane preparato da loro. Il personale è gentilissimo e pronto ad aiutare il cliente per qualsiasi cosa. La posizione è ottima a soli 600 metri dalla piazza Jeema El Fna passando per i caratteristici vicoli. Avendo poco tempo non abbiamo fruito del ristorante che credo sia molto buono considerando la cura che hanno per la colazione.

This is an absolute beauty of a Riad. Fantastic location close to the markets and at the same time quiet and peaceful. The rooms were as shown, and completely authentic and beautiful, cleaned every day. There are rooftops on several levels, each with its own charm and view. There is a hammam which can be highly recommended. The breakfast is absolutely superb, with variety and enough for everyone. But the best of all is the staff. Rarely have we met such friendly, helpful and wonderful people as Lala, Ahmed, Mustafa and Fatima. They did everything to make our stay as fantastic an experience as it was. Riad Assala can strongly be recommended.

The staff were very attentive and always in a good mood. Breakfast included bread, crêpes, yogurt, egg, and tea/coffee and there was plenty to fill you past lunch. The location was great. To access the riad you have to go through an alley, but that's not a worry as it felt safe the whole time (it's better lit at night than during the day and at night the hotels in the have "security guard/doorman to take you to your hotel). Also, since it was secluded, it was quite quiet. Finally being able to sit on the terraces /rooftops and look out on the city was splendid.
Cons: There were two minor annoyances. 1. The bathroom smelled a bit like mildew. 2. Noise: The door to the rooms are wood, and if youre near the entrance or the breakfast tables, there is little soundproofing. Also If youre in the standard doubleroom (and about half the rooms on the riad), you will hear a fairly loud bell frequently as every time someone enters, they must ring the bell.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gleich nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir vom Taxi abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gebracht. Das Begrüßungsessen im Riad am ersten Abend war sehr schmackhaft und besser als in so manchen Restaurant.
Cons: Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel und hatte kein Fenster zum Außenbereich, sodass wir auch nicht lüften konnten. Zudem war das Riad etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man an der ein oder anderen Ecke sehen konnte.

Cons: Plutôt que du thé et des gâteaux offerts à l'arrivée, j' aurais préféré un vrai professionnalisme ou mieux de la gentillesse et de la bienveillance. Au lieu de cela on nous a laissé nous débrouiller seuls face à des problèmes dont nous n'étions pas la cause : Pendant plus de 4 heures de 20 heures à minuit, nous avons été plongés dans le noir total à cause d'une panne électrique. Croyez vous que quelqu'un soit venu frapper à notre chambre pour nous proposer des bougies ou une lampe avec des piles ? Personne ne s'est inquiété de savoir comment on se débrouillait. Le lendemain la lumière était revenue mais pas internet, impossible donc de payer par carte bancaire comme convenu la veille. Après nous avoir fait comprendre qu'à 10h30 alors que le petit-déjeuner est servi de 8h à 10h il était temps de débarrasser le plancher de la salle de petit déjeuner , le gérant a exigé un paiement en espèces que nous n'avions pas. Nous n'avions qu'à selon lui aller au distributeur et tant pis si nous étions en pleine médina et si c'était le 1er janvier. J'ai insisté pour qu'il nous accompagne au distributeur le plus proche heureusement car il a fallu en faire trois avant de trouver de l'argent dans les distributeurs qui étaient vides en ce début d'année. Au bout d'une demi-heure nous avons pu enfin le payer dans la rue. A aucun moment il ne s'est inquiété de savoir si ce délai de 30 minutes nous mettait en difficulté pour prendre un avion ou un train. Nous attendons toujours notre monnaie et des excuses . Les gérants marocains de ce riad sont plus préoccupés par faire rentrer de l'argent pour les propriétaires soit disant français et injoignables que de faire correctement leur travail auprès de leurs hôtes. Ici nous ne sommes que des distributeurs d'argent.

La Riad si trova molto in centro, vicinissima ai Souk e alle maggiori attrazioni della città. Ammedh si è occupato del transfer dall’aeroporto alla struttura venendoci a prendere di persona. Abbiamo cenato 2 sere nella struttura e la cucina era ottima. La colazione era di tipo internazionale,buona. Ammedh e il suo staff sono stati disponibili dall’inizio alla fine del soggiorno, dandoci consigli e organizzandoci una fantastica gira alle cascate di Ouzud. Lo consiglio a tutti!!

Il riad si trova in una posizione centrale a nord della medina, a pochi passi del Jardin secret, nei pressi di una stradina sulla quale si alternano souk tradizionali e negozi turistici più di livello. Il riad è spazioso con un ampio giardino centrale, una fontana e una piccola piscina collocata in un ambiente separato. Le 6 stanze sono dislocate su 2 piani, la nostra si trovava al piano terra, era grande e arredata in stile tradizionale marocchino ma senza eccessi, con piastrelle in stile locale e diversi complementi d'arredo in paglia mentre in bagno era in pietra scura. Abbiamo cenato molto bene nel riad trovando una cucina tradizionale più autentica rispetto a quella che si può trovare nei ristoranti più turistici e che pertanto consigliamo. Il personale è stato gentile ed accogliente, anche se purtroppo la limitata conoscenza delle lingue francese e inglese ha generato qualche problema di comprensione.
Cons: Da segnalare solo alcuni piccoli problemi: stanza e bagno un po' umidi, il tubo della doccia perdeva acqua. Bisogna comunicare con grande anticipo l'utilizzo di servizi quali la cena nel riad e l'hammam (non ci era stato comunicato all'inizio questo dettaglio e infatti abbiamo perso l'opportunità di usufruire dell'esperienza dell'hammam perché la signora che se ne occupa non era più disponibile). Al di là di queste pecche, l'esperienza è stata positiva e lo consigliamo.

Tres bon accueil avec un the à la menthe et un petit gâteau. Les hôtes prennent le temps de bien accueillir. Litterie confortable et chambre spacieuse. A un petit 10min de marche de la place.

Le Riad en lui-même qui est très joli, la terrasse où l'on voit Marrakech, l'emplacement très bien situé et surtout le personnel. Vraiment un personnel au top, un grand merci à Mustapha et surtout un grand merci à Ahmed et aux dames dont nous avons oublié le prénom. Ahmed merci vraiment pour ta gentillesse et ta bienveillance, tu nous faisais sentir comme chez nous, tu était toujours disponible et encore merci pour avoir tenté par tous les moyens de nous trouver de la sauce Harissa le soir dans la médina 😅. Merci aux cuisinières, nous avons mangé un super couscous fait maison. Vraiment une très belle adresse.

The riad is super cozy, easily reachable, offers really good breakfast and the personell is super friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed spending time in the riad, especially on the roof top. The riad is located in a quiet side road.
Cons: Our hot water wasn’t working, but the cold shower was no problem in the Moroccan heat. The room doesn't have a bathroom door.

Riad très agréable, calme et bien situé. L'accueil est chaleureux et le petit-déjeuner bon. Notre chambre était particulièrement confortable et spacieuse.
Cons: L'espace piscine pourrait être amélioré, peut être en relocalisant l'espace restauration dans l'autre cour intérieure. A noter que le check-in ne se fait qu'à partir de 15h ce qui n'était pas spécifié.

Location was perfect - right in the middle of the Medina on a quiet street. The Riad is so peaceful and calm compared to the madness of the surrounding area. The interior is beautiful, an excellent place to unwind and read a book - we availed of a hammam treatment and massage as well. The staff are excellent, accommodating to any requests. We had an early return flight to Ireland, they arranged our taxi and ensured we were collected safely, despite the early hour. I would certainly recommend having dinner in the Riad at least one night - one of the best meals we had all week! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Good place, worth for the money.
Cons: However two cons upset me. 1. They have a ridiculous sytem where you need to put one different password to every room of the building... ig you are in the pool is one password. in the room is other wifi with a different password. 2. The breakfast is not well served than the others places in Marroco. The portions should be bigger and more options according the price of the hotel.

l'accueil etait top. Le lieu très charmant. et l'emplacement parfait. la chambre très mignonne et la salle de bain charmante. Nous avons fait l'expérience Hammam et massage, nous étions tous les deux dans le petit hammam privé du Riad, cetait une vrai parenthèse enchantée. Je vous le recommande !
Cons: La douche, bien qu'etant très jolie etait pas tres pratique. Et de l'eau gouttait un peu apres utilisation. ca fait un peu de bruit.

Authentic, welcoming Riad in great location in Moussaine district - easy to get to by taxi. The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was perfect.

Nous avons tout aimé! Le riad est très bien placé dans la Médina et proche de beaucoup de visites. C'est un vrai havre de paix dans le tumulte de Marrakech. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Grand merci à Ahmed qui était le plus présent, son sourire nous manquera. Le soir nous avons pris notre dîner sur place, que dire du poulet citron confit! Le repas 3 services était juste parfait! Service de navette très appréciable, aucun couac. Une adresse que je garderai 😁 merci encore pour tout!

El personal es muy amable en especial Admed, es un lugar con mucho encanto en un espacio reducido. Las terrazas te permiten estar en un espacio muy especial con vistas a 360⁰ de Marrakech.
Cons: El Riad está entre calles oscuras y da un poco de impresión la primera vez que llegas. Pero la verdad es que no tuvimos ningún problema. Si algo tuviera que decir, sería en nuestro caso son los grifos del baño, se debería arreglar un poco. Un repaso a pequeños detalles, pero nada de mucha importancia.

Our stay was amazing! Located in the heart of the medina you can’t get much closer to the Souks. We were welcomed with a delicious home cooked Moroccan dinner as we arrived late followed by a homemade Moroccan breakfast the next morning. Everything is cooked/baked in-house, even the Yoghurt and it was so good! Moroccan breakfasts consist of some sort of egg, bread, pancake, cake, yoghurt, jams and honey, juice, fruit, mint tea/coffee. It’s delicious but quite sweet and bread heavy and you don’t usually get a choice, it seems everywhere serves this. We stayed In a suit for 3 nights which was lovely, very spacious and comfy bed. The only downside was it has no windows so no natural light unless the front door was open but this wasn’t an issue as it only had 6 rooms so very chilled and quiet. The staff were very friendly and always there to help. They arranged a taxi from the airport and he was also very helpful and ended up being our taxi for the whole week even when we moved to our next hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful and very traditional which we love. We arrived when it was dark and it was lit with lanterns and smelled incredible. The pool was refreshing after a morning of shopping as it’s quite hot and stuffy in the souks. It also had a lovely rooftop with different areas you could relax and lay down which was nice. I would definitely recommend this Riad and would stay again! Such good value for money
Cons: No windows or natural light in the rooms but I think this is common with Riads. Otherwise amazing!
