The host,Abdull,was just fantastic,also his staff were wonderful. Breakfast excellent and varied ,everything vas fresh and newly made. Genuine surroundings ,really inside the medina. Simple ,but comfortable room.
Cons: Very difficult to get the room properly heated. Not recommended for people with walking problems due to steep stairs.

Nous avons passés 5 nuits dans ce Riad qui était soit disant bien noté En réalité l’accueil est mauvais ,pas de thé de bienvenue , le responsable pas très à l écoute qui a juste chercher à nous faire annuler nos activités réservées par get your guide pour passer par lui en direct Dans ce Riad rien n est propre les draps sont tachés ainsi que les serviettes de toilettes Nous avons demandé un petit déjeuner à emporter pour une de nos excursion et nous avons trouvé dans le frigo 3 crêpes jetées dans une assiettes sans délicatesse et rien de prévu pour le transport

Cons: Die Lage ist etwas am Rand(20-30Min. zum Zentrum), das Frühstück war im Preis inbegriffen, jedoch starten Touren am Morgen zeitiger als das Frühstück serviert wird(Frühstück erst am 9Uhr, es wird keine Alternative in Form eines Lunchpaketes o.Ä. angeboten, das ist schade, habe dort nur einmal gefrühstückt und bin meist mit leerem Magen gestartet. Zudem war der Besitzer(?) etwas aufdringlich,wollte immer wieder, dass ich meine im Voraus gebuchten Touren storniere, um seine Angebote zu nutzen.

Cons: We stayed for two nights, and our room was cleaned thoroughly every day, which we really appreciated. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water as well. We also found a lovely local restaurant and a hammam nearby, which was a great bonus.

After the flight we have been a little bit stressed and lost in Marrakesh but once we reached the Riad Abdul calmed us down and explained how things work in here. The Riad was as beautiful as on photos. In the room we had everything needed to rest and recover after a long day. We enjoyed Moroccan breakfast.

Our stay at the riad was super! The hospitality from the staff, especially Abdull was excellent! Abdull was so attentive, and had delicious meals ready for us at request and was very accommodating when our arrival was delayed on the first night. We had tours booked online prior to arriving at Marrakesh, however the riad can organise personalised tours at a very reasonable price which is a great option! The rooms very very clean and the exact same as the pictures! Would definitely recommend this riad, and if I return to Marrakesh, will definitely be staying here!

The host of the Riad was incredibly kind and helpful. Without him, we definitely wouldn’t have made it anywhere safely with our taxi. Big thumbs up – really cool guy! I stayed at Riad Bab Taghzout in Marrakech, and I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. First of all, Osama was incredibly helpful. I had a problem with another accommodation, and he immediately offered me a place to stay in his riad, finding a quick and kind solution to my situation. Then I met Abdul, who was truly wonderful. He is extremely helpful and caring — especially when you’re traveling alone as a woman, he makes you feel like part of a family. He often checks in to make sure everything is fine, asks if you need anything, and is always around to offer help or even just a bottle of water when you’re thirsty. Abdul also organized several tours for me and even arranged a private driver on short notice whenever I wanted to go on an excursion. He also took care of the airport shuttle, and everything worked perfectly. There were also two lovely women working at the riad and both were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. The cook and the housekeeping lady always made sure everything was clean and comfortable, and they truly added to the warm atmosphere of the place. The riad itself is a cozy and welcoming place where you immediately feel at home. It’s bright, comfortable, and located in a clean and quiet area compared to other parts of the city. The location is also very central — you can easily walk to most places. Overall, I was absolutely impressed by Marrakech, by this beautiful riad, and by the kindness and helpfulness of the people in Morocco. I would love to come back and can warmly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

Cons: La ubicación no es la mejor, se encontraba en un callejón bastante escondido. Durante el día el barrio es “tranquilo” pero no recomiendo llegar por la noche. Tuvimos un encontronazo en la esquina previa al alojamiento con un muchacho de la zona que nos decía que la calle estaba cerrada por rezo y nos quiso llevar por otro camino. Menos mal que decidimos no echarle cuenta y pasar por la calle. Se sintió muy inseguro. Una pena que traten así a los turistas.

Wir waren als Paar im Riad Bab Taghzout und hatten eine tolle Zeit – auch weil Abdull, unser Gastgeber, einfach der Beste ist! Er ist so ein herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Typ. Seine Gastfreundschaft hat unseren Aufenthalt wirklich auf das nächste Level gehoben. Abdull, du hast uns zum Lachen gebracht und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wie zuhause gefühlt haben – danke dafür! Auch die beiden Damen im Riad, jeden Tag mit einem Lächeln begrüsst zu werden ist Gold Wert. Das Riad ist wunderschön hergerichtet, super sauber und strahlt eine entspannte Atmosphäre aus. Die Lage ist perfekt: nur etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu den Souks – ideal, um den Trubel der Medina zu erkunden, ohne die Ruhe im Riad zu verlieren. Das Riad liegt versteckt in einer kleinen, verwinkelten Gasse – ein echtes Gefühl, ein Geheimtipp zu sein. Ein kleiner Tipp für die Gäste: Das Riad ist ziemlich ringhörig, was dazu führt, dass man die Zimmernachbaren gut hört oder die Katzenkonzerte auf den Dächern hört – ein unvergessliches Konzert, das uns zum Lachen gebracht hat!:) Alles in allem – ein wunderschöner Ort, an dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt, besonders dank Abdulls unglaublicher Gastfreundschaft.

L’accueil familial du propriétaire et du personnel m’a énormément touchée. Dès l’arrivée on se sent chez soi avec un cadre familial et subtil: un style authentique qui allie la culture du pays avec le confort moderne. C’est surtout ce " cachet " qui fait le charme de cet établissement. J’ai également apprécié les bons plats marocains : tajines variés, les salades fraiches et avec des arômes d’épices; le petit déjeuner gourmand qui nous fait oublier notre régime.
Cons: Sincèrement, tout m’avait agréablement surprise. Cependant, je me suis permise de dire au patron qu’une musique douce , orientale, aussi bien à l’accueil qu’à la terrasse ferait de cet établissement un véritable oasis ...

El hotel es bonito y está bien decorado. La ubicación es excelente, dentro de la medina pero en una zona tranquila y bien comunicada. No sentimos inseguridad en ningún momento, lo cual es de agradecer. Lo negativo fue el desayuno: ni es abundante ni ofrece opciones. Además, el día que teníamos una excursión temprano pedimos desayunar a las 8:15, pero no nos atendieron correctamente y lo que nos sirvieron fue muy pobre. No están preparados para adaptarse a los horarios de los huéspedes ni para ofrecer un desayuno mínimamente completo. Es un aspecto que deberían mejorar claramente

Riad Bab Taghzout is so lovely! It's clean, colourful, and smells absolutely stunning! The decor is really lovely my bathroom in particular was really pretty. Abdull is really accommodating and helpful with anything you might need. Really great at communicating via Whatsapp also. Great location, bank/atm nearby and short walk into the souks. Ps. The lamp shade in the twin room is incredible! wish I could fit one in my suitcase!
Cons: Not a complaint! One thing I would say is I would have liked a smaller lamp/light in the room so I didn't have to put the main light on. But that's just a small preference! It was a lovely room!

Questo Riad è molto bello, nella Medina , ma un po’ periferico, in un quartiere residenziale, quindi meno turistico. La colazione viene servita sul terrazzo, arredato benissimo e colazione di ottima qualità ed abbondante . Il manager è una persona squisita , attento a tutte le esigenze del cliente. Affabile e gentile si prodiga per ogni cosa .
Cons: Purtroppo essendo da sola ho prenotato una stanza singola e queste stanze sono sempre in sofferenza a mio parere, quindi un po’ piccola e poco arieggiata .

Uns hat eigentlich alles gefallen. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und viel, und Abdull konnte bei fast allem helfen, zB bei der Buchung von Trips und einem Taxi zum Flughafen, oder auch sonst mit Tipps. Außerdem hat das Riad ein sehr schönes Rooftop.

Everything was amazing! Abdul been such a friendly and very welcoming host. He was always there if we had any questions and he suggested us so many trips that he would organize for us. As we already had our day trips planned we couldn’t go with him but defo on next stay! The whole Riad looks exactly as on the pictures, we got lovely breakfast every morning, bedrooms cleaned every day, and all stuff were just lovely people. It’s 20minutes walking distance to the main square which for us was brilliant.

Nous avons passé un Très bon séjour au riad bab taghzout l'emplacement idéal si on veut vraiment connaître l'audience locale tt peut se faire à pieds facilement. Le personnel est au petit soin ,très réactifs Un grand merci à Asma qui nous à préparé un super petit déjeuner le Matin . Et merci pour l'accueil du gérant Mohamed. Je recommande.

The riad was beautiful and perfect was to wind down after the hustle and bustle of the city. Our room was nice and clean and the host was extremely welcoming and helpful. Nothing felt like too much for them.
Cons: It was slightly out the centre, around 20 mins walk to the main sites however as a couple that enjoy walking to take in the sites this was not an issue for us.

Our host Mohamned was fantastic!! Very welcoming and friendly, he went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic time in Marrakech, giving many suggestions of things to see, and do including places to eat. Nothing was too much for him. He arranged a Hammam as well as taxis. It was lovely having breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The Riad is very comfortable and clean. Special thanks for ensuring I got back to the Riad safely when I got lost. He stayed in constant contact with me, then came to meet me at the taxi. We highly recommended this Riad.

Un véritable petit paradis au cœur de Marrakech ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une chaleur et une gentillesse exceptionnelles. Le riad est magnifiquement décoré, typique et authentique, tout en offrant un confort moderne irréprochable. Les chambres sont propres, calmes et très bien entretenues, parfaites pour se reposer après une journée dans la médina. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et délicieux, préparé avec des produits frais. Le personnel est toujours disponible, attentif et prêt à aider, que ce soit pour organiser des excursions, donner des conseils ou simplement échanger avec le sourire. La localisation est idéale : à quelques pas des principaux sites touristiques, tout en étant assez reculée pour profiter du calme. Nous avons vraiment eu l’impression d’être comme à la maison, avec un service digne d’un grand hôtel. Je recommande les yeux fermés ce riad, une expérience inoubliable à Marrakech. From the moment we arrived the staff here were friendly and helpful, organizing a taxi for us from the station, providing details on what to see and where to go and showing us around the property The Riad is exceptionally clean and well kept, the breakfast they provide is delicious and well beyond the standard of any I have received anywhere else. The roof is a fantastic place to spend an evening and the beds are comfortable and the room is cool. A perfect spot located in the heart of the old town, I would whole heartedly recommend this to anyone staying in Morocco. I had a really nice stay at the cosy Riad Bab Taghzout, the room was big enough and clean, really good and varied breakfast, the stuff (Abdul and Asmea) where really helpful and cares about all the details and about my concerns. Best stay in Morocco so far for me as a traveler. Thank you for everything I will be back for sure :). The stuff, the place and the vide, located not far from the Ben youssef Madrassa so not far from the main square (about 13min walking). Everything was lovely and well taken care of.

Abdull was an incredible host who immediately made us feel right at home. Nothing is too much. Breakfast each morning was amazing, and it certainly filled us up for the long hot day ahead. The room was clean, air con worked great which was very much needed, the bed was comfortable so it was all ideal.
Cons: The location is a little out of the way and it is a bit of a walk to get to anything like the nearest souk or the main plaza, 20+ mins, or so but in the July heat that is lengthy, especially when heading back. You could of course take a taxi though, we just chose not to.

Cons: It’s a less touristy part of the Medina, which is great. You can see children playing in the streets, and the neighborhood feels very local. But for someone arriving for the first time, it can be hard to find the entrance. While I was looking for the Riad, a boy on a bicycle showed up and told me I couldn’t enter the street where the Riad was because it was closed due to something in the Medina. That wasn’t true — he was just trying to divert me and later ask for money. I didn’t engage much with him, and fortunately, I came across a family walking toward the same street. They were staying at a nearby Riad and helped me find mine. My advice would be to arrive by car, if possible, and get a clear idea of where the entrance is to avoid situations like that. After that initial experience, I had no further problems and was able to walk around and enjoy the local neighborhood.

Cons: Noise at the night, doors, you hear everything.. The breakfast was basic and a bit late (8:30) so if you take excursions, which is normal, you cannot take breakfast because you usually meet at 8, they once prepared me a little bag with bread. It was a bit far away of the centre by walk 25 mins.

The breakfast was light and refreshing! And the tea was out of this world! Momo was a great source of knowledge and picked up on all our requests promptly. Riad was clean and tidy, and location though in the quieter part of the Medina, was still very accessible to main attractions.

This Riad could be a good option if you want to be close to the main attractions of Marrakesh. It’s very close to the Medina, close to the Jemaa el-Fna square. You will have many places to eat. The rooms are a little bit small, and the isolation against noise is not the best. You can listen the people talking in the dinning room. We had to leave early in the morning, so we can’t to eat breakfast. You also have a parking close.

Cons: The room was very small and also the bathroom. There was no curtain for the shower and the glass wall was insufficient.There were no hanging spots for the towels. In the room, the ceiling paint was coming off and falling on the bed. It might be something specific for a riad, but it can be very noisy, people were talking and we could hear everything.

The Riad is in a great location within walking distance of all main spots inside the Medina. The manager Abdull made everything so easy and was so informative on what to do and see. We would recommend the airport transfer also. Would highly recommend.

Abdull, our host, was exceptionally kind and helpful, arranging hammam, massage and walking us there, arranging walking tour of the medina, arranging transport to Essaouira. He could not do enough. The riad was lovely and quiet. The room perfect. The food also really good. Absolutely first rate!!

A little oasis on the edge of the Medina managed by the brilliant (and charming )Abdul. Quiet, cool in the heat, great breakfasts and hot water for much needed showers after a busy day of walking, sightseeing and shopping. A little difficult to find at first but worth it to be away from the tourist area and be greeted each day by friendly locals.
Cons: Mattresses, as previous reviews, were hard. Perhaps some mattress toppers would help.

Cons: The airport shuttle was overly expensive and was driven by, what has got to be, one of the most inexperienced drivers in Marrakech. On the last day our stay was ruined by the host deceiving us with the card machine not working. It was they just didn't want to pay the bank fee, they then tried to get us to pay the additional 3% bank fee. After some disagreement given there was an agreed upon price on the website he then escorted us to a bank machine to take out cash to pay.

Cons: The location is a little further out, so felt fine walking back with someone but I am not sure how safe I would feel walking alone there. One night was very windy, which meant the Riad cover was blowing loads and very noisy one night, which made for a disruptive sleep. However this was just the one night.

Traditionally decorated beautiful Moroccan Riad with roof terrace. Kind and helpful staff, particularly Walid who has great local knowledge and connections for arranging trips beyond Marrakesh and couldn’t have done more to make this a pleasant stay. The staff also served an excellent breakfast.
Cons: It is 10-15min walk to the Medina and requires navigating quite a busy street with lots of traffic, but fine once you know the route.

Beautiful Riad, very nicely decorated, clean, cosy and comfortable. The host was fantastic, made sure we arrived safely (when I got lost) he went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect! The lady cooking was also exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Made us feel very welcome. Would definitely return!
Cons: Riad was difficult to find so I think a sign at the end of the alley way would help. We arrived late at night and got lost!

Decor was very authentic, tranquil vibe in the Riad, the host always had a smile on his face, the breakfast was a highlight for us. It is located outside the tourist area. When you learn the way (20 min walk from main square), you can enjoy seeing the locals way of life and cheap coffee and snacks. Its very quiet. NB! The entrance is not marked in the street, walk in the first "tunnel" on the left. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I loved my stay for many reasons. The first one is the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. I was greated with tea, received loads of advice on things to do around the city, they printed my boarding pass and ordered taxi for the airport. Nothing was ever a problem and all my needs were accommodated. The staff working in this riad are simply amazing! The riad is full of old charm and character and I loved it. It was super clean and food was great. It has a rooftop terrace where I enjoyed spending time reading books, drinking tea and relaxing in the evenings. It was a perfect place for my 3 night stay and I will happily return there if I am ever back in Marrakech.

He provided washing machine facility at no extra cost. Breakfast was decent. Will definitely recommend for Marrakesh. It’s a cute place. Location was also good close to major attractions.

The Riad is extremely beautiful and decorated beautifully. The top floor, where you have the most exceptional breakfast served, is a very comfortable terrace that will invite you to relax after a day of exploring the medina. Walid took very good care of us and even spent an evening drinking tea and talking. Anything we needed, we knew we could count on him. :)
Cons: A sign pointing at the little pathway towards the Riad could help with initial confusion. Not something we didn’t like but good to keep in mind: you’re in the northern part of the medina and that things are not exactly in walking distance (unless you like long strolls). We were two females walking everywhere, so it’s doable and also quite safe.

Riad is absolutely gorgeous. Brand new. Service is excellent and so are amenities. Breakfast is amazing! We have stayed in several riads while in Morocco and this one was the best. Also location is great as its close to medina but still accessible by taxi.
Cons: Nothing. The area around it at night looks a bit shady but its 100% safe and ok. We were 4 girls and had no issues.
