La struttura è meravigliosa, entri in mondo d’incanto con la perenne sensazione di profumo di spa. Il personale è stato fantastico, ci ha cercato anche un taxi al volo appena arrivate perché avevamo una prenotazione ai giardini majorelle. Colazione super.

Amazing staff, amazing value for money compared to the other 2 riads we stayed in. We arrived at 12 night time, they invited us to the heated jacuzzi on the rooftop, we were late for breakfast they still prepared us the meal, even after checkout they let us use the heated pool.

Sehr schönes Riad, tolle Zimmer, vor allem das Bad ist ein echter Hingucker. Sehr bequeme Betten. Super sauber, Frühstück top. Die Dachterrasse ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
Cons: Der Außenpool wirkt auf den Fotos deutlich größer als er ist. Wir hatten eine Massage gebucht, diese hat uns nicht ganz abgeholt.

The Riad is amazing, clean, beautiful and with a great rooftop with 2 pools and plenty of sun beds. The rooms are nice and cozy and very quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff is friendly
Cons: We had some issues with the payment, with the hotel claiming we didn't pay via booking.com when we actually did. It was a bit annoying because both myself and the hotel had to call booking to clarify. So the feedback is rather towards booking the the hotel itself

Nos encanto todo.. el servicio, el Riad es muy bonito cuandoentras si te quedas impactada ! En el cuarto nos pusieron una hermosa decoración por nuestro aniversario! Gracias a Hassamia y a todo el staff. Siempre fueron muy amables, atentos, nos explicaron cada duda y estuvieron al pendiente de nuestras necesidades.
Cons: La habitacion era un poco pequeña.. pero hermosa, y lo mas importante limpia! La alberca no tiene calefaccion asi que no pedimos entrar a disfrutarla

Location, bright colors and overall feel and design of this riad is excellent. Food is ok. If you are normal size European man then double bed room is very tight. If you are a little bit on a bigger side of size >90kg DO NOT book a double bed room at all. It is just too small to fit. Small corridors and tiny bathroom. Low ceiling. Just take a bigger room no question about it. It’s a great place if you are in a transit and I think its used for that by most guests. Did not see any guests staying for more then a few days. Location is excellent - close to ATM and post office (5 minutes walk) in the north and everything else worth visiting (15 minutes walk) in the south. NUMBER ONE THING TO KNOW is when you are leaving the riad for a walk or whatever LEAVE the key with reception. Staff often forgets to inform new guests about it and we had a very a very troublesome situation. Because security checks all the keys at the end of the day (like 10-11pm) and if there are none at the reception they assume everyone are in bed AND SHUTS THE MAIN GATE AND GOES AWAY. At around midnight some new guest that were NOT INFORMED about this rule were banging on the door and ringing door bell for like 30 minutes waking up the whole riad. Some guest took pity and let them in. NUMBER TWO THING TO KNOW is you can pay by card ONLY for the room. EVERYTHING else has to be paid by cash. We were not informed about this and while waiting for the taxi upon check out I had to run to ATM to get cash.
Cons: Staff service depends on who is working a shift. One guy was super nice, friendly and helpful 10/10 quality service. The other one with glasses was clearly overworked and just plain rude at times.

È tutto assolutamente perfetto!!!! Posizione facile da raggiungere anche se a 20 minuti a piedi dalla piazza principale ma vi assicuro che la passeggiata tra i vari souk rende la camminata più che piacevole. Lo staff super cordiale e disponibile!!! Abbiamo lasciato la stanza a mezzogiorno e avendo il volo di rientro alle 4 di mattina abbiamo chiesto se potevamo lasciare i bagagli per un ultimo tour della Medina, non solo hanno acconsentito ma ci hanno lasciato stare all’interno del Riad fino alle due di notte e ci hanno poi chiamato un taxi che ci accompagnasse all’aeroporto. Riad pulitissimo e ben tenuto. Un’oasi di pace nel vero senso della parola!!!! Comolimenti!!!! Straconsigliato!!!!

Die Unterkunft hat einen tollen Innenhof und eine schöne Dachterrasse. Wir haben hier in unserer letzten Nacht nach einem zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in ganz Marokko übernachtet, weil wir zum Abschluss noch einmal in einem hübschen, traditionellen Riad schlafen wollten. Leider hat schon der Check-in-Prozess eine halbe Ewigkeit gedauert. Wir wurden von einem Mitarbeiter geparkt, der dann erst einmal verschwunden ist und nach einiger Zeit mit Dokumenten zurückkam, die wir in keinem anderen Hotel unterschreiben mussten. Das hat uns ziemlich genervt, da wir ihm gesagt hatten, dass wir nur wenig Zeit haben und noch einmal in die Souks wollten. Unser Zimmer war ein ganz normales Zweibettzimmer, allerdings so klein, dass wir nur einen Koffer zurzeit aufklappen konnten. Sobald dieser offen war, konnten wir uns im Zimmer kaum noch bewegen. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls sehr klein, was mich allerdings nicht weiter gestört hat – ich verstehe, dass Riads oft kompakte Zimmer haben. Dennoch hatte man hier das Gefühl, dass wirklich jeder Quadratmeter genutzt wurde, um möglichst viele Gäste unterzubringen. Die Betten waren unbequem und hatten einige Flecken. Insgesamt habe ich mich in dem Riad nicht wohlgefühlt, zumal wir beim Check-in vom Personal direkt gefragt wurden, was wir dazu buchen wollen, wie viel das kostet, und dabei etwas unter Druck gesetzt wurden, sofort etwas zu buchen. Das fand ich sehr unangenehm. Was mich schon vor der Anreise gestört hat: Als wir bei der Autovermietung standen und nicht wussten, wie wir zum Hotel kommen sollten, habe ich im Riad angerufen und gefragt, was ein Transport kosten würde und ob sie uns dort abholen könnten. Die Mitarbeiterin hat versucht, mit mir auf Französisch zu sprechen. Da ich aber nur Englisch kann, habe ich ihr das mitgeteilt. Sie antwortete nur bruchstückhaft „Airport? Airport?“ und als sie merkte, dass sie mich nicht versteht, hat sie einfach aufgelegt.
Cons: Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt leider enttäuschend, obwohl das Riad an sich wirklich hübsch ist. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier jedoch überhaupt nicht. Wie gesagt, wollten wir uns für die letzte Nacht etwas Besonderes gönnen und waren deshalb auch bereit, etwas mehr auszugeben. Für ein Riad dieser Kategorie war die Erfahrung aber schlicht nicht zufriedenstellend. Ich würde empfehlen, sich bei der großen Auswahl in Marrakesch noch einmal umzusehen – es gibt sicher bessere Alternativen.

Super vriendelijk personeel, willen je overal bij helpen. De riad is prachtig en de kamers zijn top. Er is een bubbelbad op het dak en daar kun je heerlijk in de zon liggen. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om bij de riad een hammam te doen en een massage te krijgen.

Il Riad Assouel è un oasi di pace e relax in mezzo al caos della Medina... molto vicino a tutto. Tutto è molto curato, profumato, pulito e in ordine. Il personale è molto gentile, ci siamo veramente sentite coccolate da tutti. Un ringraziamento particolare va a Youness, ci ha accontentate su tutto, è stato veramente carino e ci ha fatte sentire come se fossimo a casa nostra. Anche Omar è stato molto gentile. Inutile dire che quando tornerò a Marrakech tornerò qui. Posto super consigliato!

The riad is stunning, with traditional Moroccan architecture, peaceful courtyards, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the spa was a great way to unwind after exploring Marrakech. Breakfasts were fresh and generous each day. A special mention to our host Omar, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable – he was truly amazing. All of the staff were also super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Overall, a wonderful stay that we would highly recommend.

Prachtige Riad die je de chaos van de stad laat vergeten. Mooie ruime kamer waar aan ieder detail is gedacht. Twee zwembaden waar je gebruik van kunt maken waarvan een op een dakterras. Ook hier kun je heerlijk liggen. Lekker ontbijt en ook het avondeten was goed verzorgd.

La struttura è molto bella e curata. Offre due meravigliose piscine in cui potersi rilassare, una sul tetto (più piccola) e una nella corte centrale. Consigliatissimo questo Riad per chi vuole soggiornare a due passi dal souk nel cuore della Medina. Il personale è gentilissimo e super disponibile. Dovendo partire per fare un’escursione nel deserto alle 7:00 di mattina, il ragazzo che gestisce il Riad ci ha preparato la colazione in anticipo! È stato veramente gentile! Merita tantissimo.
Cons: L’unica cosa su cui sono stata un po’ titubante è la strada per arrivare al Riad. Il taxi ti lascia in un punto della città non molto rinomato insomma, un po’ degradato. Ma vi viene a prendere a piedi il ragazzo della reception, quindi non preoccupatevi!

La limpieza de la habitación y el Riad en general
Cons: Pensaba que al poner spa tendría más opciones. Solo hay un jacuzzi y una camilla que supongo que es para los masajes. La ubicación no me gustó nada. Por el día no hay problema pero por la noche empiezan a cerrar puertas de la medina y la zona por la que hay que bordear para llegar al Riad deja mucho que desear. La callejuela donde está el Riad no cabe un coche, por lo que taxi, tampoco.

Cons: La localisation, au fin fond de la médina où les locaux ne sont pas très accueillants et vous arnaquent dans la rue. Très difficile d’accès la nuit car plusieurs rues sont bloquées. On ne se sent pas en sécurité dans le quartier.

C'est vraiment dommage aux vues du standing de la ryad. L'eau ou le thé pourrait être mis a disposition gratuitement aux profits des clients surtout l eau c est assez vital.

Loved our stay at this Riad, was a little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of marrakech - I had a massage here which was also lovely and the staff couldn’t be more helpful! The place is so beautiful and peaceful
Cons: The location is in the heart marrakech very close to the main souks but the walk back to the road late at night was a little bit scary, be careful of locals outside trying to scam you by showing you an alternate route then demanding cash. However was not enough to stop me from returning again!

Cons: Due to unexpected obligations, I had to leave Marrakech earlier than planned and only stayed 2 out of the 5 nights I originally booked. Unfortunately, the riad showed no understanding of the situation and refused to refund even a single night – unlike other hotels in the area, which were much more accommodating and empathetic. The rooms are also uncomfortably hot, as the air conditioning does not cool the space effectively, especially during the summer heat. On a positive note, the two young men working at the riad were very friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, despite their kindness, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor management decisions and lack of comfort. One more thing to note – safety in the surrounding streets is a serious concern. Almost every second person tries to scam you, often putting you in uncomfortable or even intimidating situations. I was repeatedly pressured for money and even threatened. Walking around, especially as a tourist, does not feel safe or relaxed, which significantly affected the overall experience in Marrakech. Please note - This accommodation has already been deleted once because it had so many bad reviews.

Cons: La chambre attribuée était plus bien petite que celles présentée sur les photos. Impossible d'avoir un retour utile du personnel sur place (très serviable mais sans aucun pouvoir de decision). L'établissement est géré par une agence qui gère plusieurs riad. Difficile de communiquer avec les gérants. Très déçu alors que c'est mon deuxième séjour dans ce riad, je ne reviendrai pas.

The property is beautiful, great location. Easy to find! Great pools, although small. Rooms were great, we had a small which is hard with two suitcases but that does not reflect our feelings about the Riad. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Especially since my partner had an asthmatic emergency. Helped with the bags, good food!

Stare al Riad Assouel è la stata la scelta migliore che potevamo fare. Si trova in medina e a pochi centinaia di metri da tutto. La camera era bellissima, la struttura era perfetta per rifugiarsi dal caos della città, piscina pulita e fresca in un ambiente accogliente e profumato. Colazione e cena molto buone. Younes, Omar e tutto lo staff sono stati preziosi per il nostro soggiorno. Professionali, sorridenti e sempre disponibili ad ogni nostra richiesta. Se dovessi ritornare a Marrakech senza dubbio tornerei al Riad Assouel!

Además el servicio de limpieza de habitaciones era muy bueno y el desayuno, que muy bueno también, estaba incluido. Nosotros contratamos allí el hammam y fue todo un acierto, lo repetiría mil veces. This Riad has amazing atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. There are two pools, the one in the terrace is heated and small, while the one in the ground floor is big and not heated. The whole place is nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly. It is situated very close to the souk market.
Cons: The breakfast is not a buffet, instead they bring you a set meal on the table with one omelette per person, bread, butter, jam, etc, but no protein source (apart from the egg whites in the egg).

Tout le personnel était aux petits soins et très gentil, merci beaucoup à Omar et Younes en particulier. Le Riad est paisible, joli et surtout très proche du centre. La piscine centrale est magnifique et il y a même un jacuzzi sur la terrasse, ce qui est très agréable le soir en rentrant d’une longue journée. Je recommande fortement ce Riad pour son rapport qualité/prix qui est top !
Cons: Personnellement j’ai trouvé que quelques éléments du petits déjeuner étaient un peu gras, notamment les œufs mais dans l’ensemble c’était très bon !

La struttura è impeccabile, nulla da dire. Tutto pulito, perfetto, in ordine. Appena si entra nel riad si è avvolti in un miscuglio di profumi e odori, gli uccellini rendono l’atmosfera magica. Riad perfetto per chi vuole rilassarsi e godersi Marrakech. Colazione ottima e personale molto gentile e disponibile, cosa non da poco in Marocco. La vera fortuna della struttura è il receptionist Youness, sempre disponibile, solare, divertente e che ti fa sentire sempre a tuo agio. Appena arrivati ci ha introdotto la struttura Amy ( credo si scriva così hahah) offrendoci il the marocchino, una persona a dir poco fantastica, bravissimo sia nel suo lavoro che nella vita. Uma bustina di plastica stile Domopak con due pezzi di pane uno forse era una crepes senza senso. Da questa struttura mi aspettavo di più. Ho pagato la colazione senza poterne usufruire. A saperlo avrei evitato il servizio. Ovviamente l’abbiamo lasciata lì senza portarla via.

Cons: The property itself was great however there’s a little shop of the left after the arch which has a questionable group of men around it. They are scam artists and told us(multiple people) roads were closed and took us down small alleys ways and tried to take €200 from us(which we didn’t have). The next few days with them being so close to our riad were hard as they’d make derogatory comments towards me(female) and my outfits. That made leaving the riad and coming back stressful. I know it’s not the riads fault at all but I can’t say I felt safe near it.

The Riad is beautiful. I got the king room and it was spacious and really comfortable. One of the staff, Mohamed, was really kind, helpful and respectful. He was great, while the other was rude.
Cons: One of the guys/staff, Youssen, had quite the attitude. He rapidly gets angry at anything you ask and as typical of many men his age in Morocco, uses a disrespectful tone. This is such a nice hotel, but the experience gets a bit ruined when you have to deal with people like him. Not pleasant.

Very cozy atmosphere, clean rooms, and truly authentic in pure Moroccan style. The breakfast offers several options, and on the rooftop there’s a medium-sized jacuzzi and sun loungers. Mohammed welcomed us from the moment we arrived — very attentive and friendly. On our last day, he even offered to walk with us to find a taxi and help us negotiate the price. Everything you would hope for in a host.

We can’t recommend enough this beautiful Riad. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of the hustle. The staff is so welcoming, helpful and kind. The fact that it has a pool and also a rooftop with another small jacuzzi it is a must. It makes perfect the stay in a busy city. We loved having a cosy dinner at the Riad everyday, we have a child and it was so comforting to see him so well looked after. The food is amazing….Breakfast are supreme! We can’t wait to come back :)

Cons: Unser Zimmer war unfassbar hellhörig - Balkon direkt zum schönen (!) Innenhof und direkt an der Treppe… Da war an Durchschlafen leider nicht zu denken! Das Frühstück könnte etwas großzügiger und organisierter sein.

Cons: The terrace wasn’t ready for use for few days, the shower space in the regular room was too small not to wet the whole bathroom floor when showering and the windows aren’t soundproofed, so we hear a lot of the chats and preps and everything really going on the riad, earplugs are a must for a good night sleep.

De ga oss gode tips om hva vi kunne gjøre i byen, hjalp oss med å bestille og finne taxi og sørget for at vi kom oss trygt frem. Youness and Mohammed were especially kind and helpful throughout our stay; their hospitality made all the difference. We had the chance to enjoy dinner at the Riad one evening, and it was absolutely fantastic – a real highlight and highly recommended for anyone staying here. Breakfast was delicious and varied every day, with fresh ingredients and local flavors. The Riad itself was very clean, well-maintained, and ideally located to explore the city. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you again to the whole team – we’ll definitely be back!

Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique au Riad Assouel, très bien situé. Le personnel était aux petits soins dès notre arrivée, tout le monde est souriant, accueillant et à l écoute de nos besoins Youness a été un hôte extraordinaire, hyper accessible, taquin et dynamique. Tout est fait pour qu'on s'y sente bien. Une douce odeur de fleur d'oranger émane de tout le riad, l'architecture est moderne, le site est bien entretenu, paisible, on entend les oiseaux chanter quasiment toute la journée. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Le personnel de chambre est minutieux. Ils nous ont même lavé et repassé nos vêtements après être sorties de la palmeraie toutes poussiéreuses. Les menus sont excellents.. et le spa whaoo une renaissance ! Je recommande à 100%. Encore merci, nous avons passé un magnifique séjour grâce à vous.

In primis posizione ottima, riad bellissimo e molto pulito! Accoglienza super ma l’icona di questa struttura è il grandissimo MOHAMMED! È un ragazzo gentile, affidabile ma soprattutto disponibile. Ci ha aiutato in tutto quello che chiedevamo, ci accompagnava anche a prendere i taxi, è stato una persona meravigliosa! Grazie MOHAMMED (ALI) ti vogliamo bene ❤️

Attention lie, they sell a deluxe room, and catering in ordinary two-person rooms. They give a fake photo of the room. (many guests have been scammed in the past, please read other low-rated reviews) After reporting this problem, the man at the reception is rude, arrogant, shouting. Dirty water in the jacuzzi on the roof, half of the stay cold water. Access to the hotel through dark, narrow streets

The venue was beautiful and the location was perfect. The Riad was being painted while we were there which caused some issues. Alongside this, the check in was delayed by an hour and half due to not being cleaned.

Nous l'avons géré nous même car pas possible pour eux de toucher aux bouteilles ce que nous comprenons mais de la a nous réclamer 75 euros c'est abusé Aucun tarif n'est donné avant ..eau à 2.5 le verre de vin a 6 euros et le thé a 2.50. A noter que nous avons attendu près d'une heure le taxi a notre arrivée a l'aéroport.

Really lovely stay at Riad Assouel. The central courtyard was amazing with stunning views of the pool. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast in the morning was simple but tasty. Situated on a nice quiet street but was very close to lots of the must see spots and good restaurants. Staff were really friendly!

Le riad est magnifique propre décorer avec beaucoup de goût une délicieuse odeur de fleur d'oranger se dégager c'est un plaisir . Les petits déjeuners sont très bons nous nous sommes régalés. A comida era muito boa, e os funcionários muito acolhedores e simpáticos. As ruas um pouco estranhas mas é uma questão de hábito. O quarto foi limpo durante a minha ausência e era bastante confortável. O jacuzzi foi um dos pontos fortes do Ryad. Voltarei certamente!

Poor value for money in an underwhelming location. Whilst the staff were lovely the place offers no more than a concrete lined 'jacuzzi' on the roof, splash pool at ground level and a pay as you go spa. You couldn't make a drink in your room and had to pay for drinking water as there was none in the room. Western prices in a developing world B&B rinsing the tourist with little in return: the breakfast was miserly. Location was poor with an hour's walk through joyless and filthy streets to get anywhere: is it any wonder folk taxi in and out in their tourist bubble. We've travelled in North Africa and Middle East for many years and have never before experienced such blatent and disproportionate duel pricing and were left feeling like cash cows led to the slaughter.

The rooms are very very nicely decorated and set up. I got upgraded to a suite and it was very decadent. Sadly I was only there for a few hours thanks to a late night flight. But it's a wonderfully romantic room to stay in with a lover.
Cons: My only complaint, which is common for many Riad's in Morocco, is that there is no outside light or view. The same is true of this Riad. I think they have a rooftop which may be open in better weather (it was cold when I was there).

La struttura è molto bella ed elegante, tranquilla la posizione e di conseguenza anche l’atmosfera all’interno è rilassata. Pulita e con una colazione tipica interessante e varia di giorno in giorno. Proposte menù pranzo e cena buone. La posizione, seppur appartata dal caos, è piuttosto centrale e quindi comoda per raggiungere le varie tappe d’interesse. La camera era grande, pulita e tranquilla. Rooftop con jacuzzi davvero una chicca, con tavoli e lettini per momenti di puro relax con vista sulla città. All’interno si trova anche la sala per hammam (consigliato ) e quella per i massaggi oltre che un salottino molto carino. I ragazzi sono gentili e disponibili.
Cons: Purtroppo non accettano pagamenti extra con carta, questo in un turista può creare (come successo a noi) un grande disagio dal momento che in giro è meglio pagare in contanti. I prezzi dei pacchetti erano diversi da quelli proposti prima di partire, questo può creare un certo disagio perché la chiarezza è la cosa primaria. Un po’ dí disorganizzazione sulla prenotazione della guida.

Cons: The customer service was not great, communication was lost in translation due to language barriers. However, on speaking to some of the other people staying there, they had a better experience. Even on the last day additional charges were not explained to me so even now I am Unsure if I overpaid. My room was also not swept for the 5/6 nights I was there and there was a lot of dust and dirt under the bed. I felt let down by the overall quality of this service which was a shame as that took away from the overall experience. I felt I was treated differently as a solo traveller, but that was only my experience as said the other couples enjoyed their stay.

Cons: No nos gustó tener que pagar en efectivo los servicios extras como lo fue la alimentación, masaje y bebidas, debido a que esta estancia se vende como un alojamiento de Lujo por lo tanto debería contemplar el pago con tarjeta. Airport transfer - Thankfully we were greeted at the airport via a transfer which collected us to stay at the riad. I would probably advise this as there is only so much road a vehicle can pass before you have to go on foot and Youseff met us to walk us to the riad. It might be quite difficult otherwise if you’re unfamiliar with the area. The riad - Beautiful and is accurately represented from the pictures on booking.com. Youseff carefully explained and showed us round the Riad. Host - Youseff very welcoming but I would have to say that he came across as slightly obnoxious/over familiar with his approach. But we would like to highlight how incredible Amine was with us, extremely polite and helpful and just a genuinely kind person & also Laila who works in the kitchen who served us great food, very prompt and helpful. Pricing - We were told on arrival that there was no drinking (alcohol) to be had on that day but there after was possible, we were slightly confused by this statement but it wasn’t our purpose for the trip so asked no further questions. The second day we wanted to have some wine while on the terrace but were told that this was not possible after asking if there was anywhere we could purchase from. We are completely fine with this by the way, we understand the culture and know that there are bars and restaurants that will serve so we just waited for our evening out. That evening Youseff informs that he’s stocked up the riad on wine/beers, but told us on in the afternoon it was not possible? To me it just feels that there was an opportunity to overcharge. We had one bottle of rose wine priced at €30 and 4 very small bottles of beer priced at 60dhs. To put it to perspective a bottle of wine at “Nobu hotel 320dhs and Casablanca bigger bottles 60dhs”. We should’ve asked about the price but also had some expectations of it being a fair price.

The design and decor is beautiful, created to showcase traditional Riad style. The minute you enter it’s like being transported to a different world. Spotlessly clean, fresh and intriguing. The exterior is typical of buildings in the Medina but a paradise is hidden inside. Birds singing, sun glistening from above. The ambiance is unbelievably peaceful and relaxing. Our room was much larger than expected with bedroom and seating area on different levels and steps down to a spacious bathroom, shower and separate toilet. Carefully placed ornaments and enhanced the decor. The rooftop is dedicated sunbathing delight with jacuzzi, and a seating area for refreshments. The view is perfect over the entire city with snow capped mountains in the distance. I would recommend anyone to visit this Riad and experience the warmth and friendliness of all the staff along with the unique atmosphere. As they kept saying to us “this is your home”. Nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional kindness. We even left a gold and diamond necklace at the Riad by mistake and after sending a few messages got through to the manager who took the trouble to search and find it and return it to us by courier. We were so happy that they found it and it is testament to the honestly and integrity of the staff that we have been able to retrieve this necklace. I cannot speak highly enough of them.

Initially, we were given a room that didn’t quite meet our expectations, but the host, Juni, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and quickly arranged for us to be swapped to a better room. The new room was perfect—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The riad itself is stunning, with a peaceful ambiance and charming traditional decor. Cons: The stay was disappointing. Received a smaller room than booked and paid. No compensation was offered nor received with staff denying the issue nor taking any accountability. Moreover, the room had an unpleasant smell due to moist issues in the bathroom. Any additional activities were obliged to be paid in cash euros without prior warning. Breakfast consisted of microwaved flat bread and bad coffee. This was not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. For this price there is better value elsewhere in the medina.

Cons: Don’t judge the book by its cover. Narrow old streets and away from the town centre - hecklers threatened us and made us pay them the money. This happened just outside the Riad (where they have cctv. We went inside the Riad for help - they could not sort it and this ended with us having to give them street hecklers money (they only take paper notes if anyone wants to give them coins - beggars but still have demands like that lol). Check in was delayed by an hour or so just because the manager was outside in the market for shopping (the cleaning staff said). This delayed our plan to do things that afternoon. Waiter guy for food was strange/obnoxious trying to come to the table when we were dining, and was asking non essential questions. Lacks manners for sure. Other two ladies staff in the kitchen were decent.

We had an excellent stay, spending a total of 5 nights in two different rooms, as we split our visit into two parts. The first room was the smaller of the Riad but very cozy (note that only the toilet is separate, while the sink and shower share the same space as the bed). The second room was slightly larger, with a fully enclosed bathroom. Both rooms were well-equipped and very comfortable, each featuring air conditioning. I highly recommend reserving at least one dinner at the hotel: Chef Amina is incredibly talented and prepares a delicious tajine. Special thanks to Khalid, who was always kind, attentive, and dedicated to making our stay exceed expectations. As for the location, although the riad is situated within the medina, it is wonderfully quiet and cozy, creating the perfect balance for a relaxing experience.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we were well looked after. The peaceful ambiance of the Riad and authentic Moroccan style is incredibly charming. The rooftop spa and sun terrace looked very nice although it was a little too chilly to use during our stay in December. The Riad is in close proximity to the centre of the medina but just out of the way of the major crowds so was very handy.

Cons: Het was bijzonder gehorig, je kon iedere spelt in het gebouw horen vallen als je op de kamer was. We hadden een Deluxe kamer geboekt. Ze noemen echter alle kamers Deluxe, en zo kregen we een kleine standaard kamer, want daar hadden ze stiekem ook een foto tussen alle andere luxe foto’s geplaatst, dus opgelicht. Het dakterras en bad vielen erg tegen.

Cons: There are other guests that use the same front door which can only be opened by staff members. This became a nuisance with door knocking and ringing throughout the early hours of the morning - be warned if you're a light sleeper.

Cons: The journey to Riad is something everyone should prepare for. It applies to all riad as they are located in the old city and taking luggage’s can be a hassle but the staff came and met us at the taxi drop off area and assisted us. However I would not recommend if you are a fussy traveler and like to have a hotel where taxis can drop you off and pick you up from the hotel straight away.

Mi estancia en este hotel fue excelente. Las instalaciones son modernas, limpias y muy cómodas. El personal fue increíblemente amable y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La habitación estaba bien equipada, con todas las comodidades necesarias para una estancia agradable. Sin duda, recomiendo este hotel a cualquiera que busque una experiencia de calidad.

Meinen Aufenthalt hat Khalid sehr schön gestaltet. Er hat mir die Ankunft sehr erleichtert und ist auf alle meine Wünsche eingegangen. So ein Personal und so einen Service wünscht man sich überall und wünscht sich auch jeder Besitzer eines solchen Riad‘s. Kommunikation über viele Sprachen, die Khalid sprechen kann. Die Unterkunft an sich war sehr schön und sauber. Die Lage ist super und zu Fuß ist alles zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Danke dir nochmal Khalid für deinen Service, deine Bemühungen, deine Ehrlichkeit und deine Gastfreundlichkeit!

Erg mooie Riad, dichtbij de souks. Wij hadden de deluxe kamer geboekt en die was prachtig en ruim ingericht. Een grote riad voor relatief weinig kamers maakte het een erg fijne en rustige uitvalsplek. Verder willen we Khalid nog extra bedanken voor zijn goede en attente service.

Un Séjour exceptionnel au cœur de la Médina de Marrakech, un Riad traditionnel avec des petites touches modernes, ce qui rend l'expérience unique. À l'occasion de notre anniversaire de Mariage, nous avons été surclassé dans une sublime Suite, on était sur notre petit nuage. Pour la restauration, ce fût un vrai régal pour les papilles en commençant par le petit déjeuner jusqu'au dîner romantique au bord de la piscine. La terrasse est joliment décorée et ensoleillée, nous avons adoré le jacuzzi, un pur moment de détente. Un grand merci à tout le personnel qui était très accueillant et aux petits soins. Nous reviendrons !

This riad is sparkling clean and super well maintained. The inner courtyard is picture perfect and invites you to stay and relax, and there's also a rooftop terrace with very comfy patio beds and a Jacuzzi. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and speaks all kind of languages. The room was in great condition with a comfy bed (rare in Morocco!), but due to its layout (very narrow and long) and the fact that they placed a MASSIVE sofa in it, there was not enough space to open the suitcase. Still, great place to stay and enjoy the Medina, as it's just a short walk to get to all the places.
Cons: We asked about parking prior to our arrival (both via chat and via phone call), as the riad is located in the old medina where roads are narrow and driving isn't feasible. Unfortunately, they weren't able to answer us and just kept sending the location of the riad itself, not any parking nearby. In the end, we just parked somewhere and ended up having to walk a long time with the luggage to get there. Later we discovered better parking lots nearby, which they should have recommended.

I’ve travelled to Morocco three times and this was the best Riad I’ve stayed at. It’s a new property and located in the centre which a big help. The customer service given to me by all the staff, including Layla, Youseff and Khalid, was amazing. I highly recommend this stay. You can see more pictures on my Instagram@cheilanicki
Cons: The plug sockets on the side of the bed didn’t work, but maybe that was a blessing in disguise. I was able to just put my phone anyway and enjoy the moment 🤣

The riad was stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. We used the roof top bath which was so needed as it was so hot out! Everything was spotless and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating - they treated us like VIPs the moment we arrived.
Cons: The location seemed very dodgy on arrival with it being down a small alley, but it is 2 mins from the shouks and the staff were always available to bring/meet at a taxi!

Location was excellent, the inside of the riad what magical, like a palace! I particularly enjoyed the rooftop, the pool and the downstairs seating areas. Everything was clean and just stunning! The staff were AMAZING! We mainly were looked after by Khalid and boy did he spoil us! He went far and beyond to help us with anything and everything. He was the best host I’ve ever had when staying at a smaller hotel. This Riad is very lucky to have him!

Sono stata due notti in questo Riad dove siamo stati accolti da un personale fantastico. Disponibile e accomodante in ogni nostra richiesta. Khalid, che ci ha maggiormente seguito, è fantastico! Parla 7 lingue per cui la comunicazione non è stata assolutamente un problema! Ci ha suggerito le migliori escursioni, local trip e food ed è stato sempre pronto ad aiutarci. La colazione è stata molto piacevole, non il solito buffet internazionale, ma prodotti tipici e specialità del posto in abbondanza. Il Riad non ha molte stanze e questo è perfetto per assicurarsi tranquillità e riservatezza. Hanno contribuito ha rendere il nostro viaggio unico!

L’odeur de fleur d’oranger, le calme lorsqu’on y entre, la décoration du Riad qui est magnifique avec une belle piscine intérieure et un superbe rooftop où l’on peut profiter des levers/coucher du soleil. La chambre était aussi très spacieuse. L’emplacement est top (à environ 5min à pied du jardin secret, 10min de la place Jema El-Fna). Le personnel qui est aussi super sympa, mention spéciale à Nassir!!
Cons: Rien. Tout était parfait, il manquait peut être un peu de salé au petit déjeuner si nous devons faire une suggestion.

Il personale è stato molto premuroso nel descrivere la struttura e fornire assistenza durante tutto il soggiorno. Il riad si trova sostanziamente in zona pedonale, a pochi metri dal mercato della medina. Non raggiungibile dai taxi che comunque si trovano non molto distante a piedi.
Cons: Nulla in particolare. Tutto ben organizzato. Forse l'impossibilità di raggiungere la struttura direttamente in taxi.

Nous avons énormément aimé notre séjour au Riad Assouel : le personnel est au petit soin (mention spéciale à Youness), le petit déjeuner varié et délicieux, la chambre propre et spacieuse dans un superbe decor. Véritable oasis reposante après l'agitation de la Medina, et à proximité des souks et sites touristiques. Je recommande vivement !

When I arrived pretty late at night because of a delayed flight I was told that there was an issue with my reservation (I definitely booked it via booking.com, even had a reference) and that they didn't have a room for me. Apparently my reservation was ignored and the rooms got booked for a whole family. The nice employee from the night shift tried to call multiple hotels in the area around the hotel to try to get me a room- thanks again for that🙏🏼 and in the end I was in bed by 4:30 am (note: I arrived at ~1:30 am)after traveling for 12 hours...
Cons: The receptionist/ hotel owner made a mistake with my reservation and would have let me - a female solo traveler, definitely noticeable as a foreigner - stranded in the dark streets of Marrakesch if it wasn't for his nice night shift employee who took care of me and tried to make up for his bosses' mistake. I was really looking forward to my stay because the hotel looked so cute but now I'm definitely not gonna try to book a room there again.

Ce riad est un havre de paix dans cette ville au rythme effréné. Dès que l'on passe le pas de la porte, on est plongé dans un autre monde. L'odeur d'eau de fleur d'oranger est un régal, la piscine, les décors, tout est magnifique. Youness, Youssef, Amina, Chaotar et les autres nous ont bichonnés pendant notre séjour. Les petits déjeuners sont différents chaque jour. Les deux repas du soir que nous avons mangés étaient DÉLICIEUX. Les oiseaux qui chantent dans cette cour sont un bonheur à écouter. Le roof top avec le jacuzzi et les transats est vraiment agréable. Tout est bien pensé.
Cons: La sonnette qui permet d'avoir accès au Riad résonne un peu trop fort dans le riad ce qui peut réveiller la nuit. Certaines personnes ne sont pas patientes et sonnent plusieurs fois. Peut-être le dire aux voyageurs.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The location is ideal, situated just sone minutes by walk to the main bazaar, making everything easily accessible but still it’s in a calm corner. The hotel itself is beautiful—much more impressive than the pictures in Booking. Youssef and Yunus truly stood out for their kindness and helpfulness. As girls traveling alone, we felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Marrakesh.

A rendere il nostro soggiorno speciale è stato il personale, nel dettaglio Youssef (Giuseppe) con cui abbiamo instaurato un vero e proprio rapporto di amicizia. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was far from acceptable due to several issues: Reception Staff: The reception staff were very rude. When I arrived, I was told that the hotel was full and kept waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Despite informing him that I was not feeling well, he ignored my concerns. Room Conditions: The room I was assigned had no electricity, which meant I had to sleep in the dark in 45-degree heat with no cooling. This situation was extremely uncomfortable and distressing. Misleading Information: The information provided about the hotel's location is misleading. The hotel is advertised as being 6 minutes from the center, but I had to walk 40 minutes to reach the main square. Given these issues, I am requesting a full refund and compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort experienced. I am genuinely disappointed with the service and conditions provided.

It was hard to find initially (but it is near the city walls and near a market so a taxi should be able to find it easier than we did), but as soon as we stepped inside, we were transported from the miraculous madness of the medina to an idyl of silence and callm. We were welcomed by the host and made comfortable (we initially just asked to use their WiFi until we discovered whilst sipping mint tea that we had actually stumbled on to our destination) and the service just got better from there. The riad itself is a beautiful, tranquil place ideal to restore one's energies to ennpower one to fully enjoy the high energy magic that is Matrakech just outside your door, but the staff are what sets this place above all others I have stayed at. Everyone was charming, warm, friendly and would go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had anything and everything we might need. They were all on hand to help us with anything and we genuinely felt welcomed into a family. If you want to stay in the heart of the medina and feel what it is to be a local, but also want to be able to retreat to an oasis of calm, then you should stay nowhere else. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic rooms, delightful roof terrace with a hot tub, open air pool to cool down in, great food and fantastic staff and service - you can't beat it. - As a moroccan, I can say in confidence that the food here is outstanding. Praise to the chef, Lala Amina, she is fabulous! Beautifully cooked, authentic moroccan cuisine! - The staff were all very kind and helpful throughout our stay, they helped make it a fabulous experience. - The room was so beautiful, the way it was designed and everything I loved. It was also so clean and fresh, as was the whole Riad. - I felt calm and relaxed the whole time I was there. The atmosphere of the place is to die for! The pool and hot tub up stairs were a big bonus! - Wifi was great too! Overall, As a moroccan I felt this place was like my own home. The service, atmosphere, and staff all made this an excelent experience!

Sehr schönes Riad mit toller Ausstattung und sehr entspannter Dachterasse mit Whirlpool und tollem Ausblick. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und haben einen Ausblick auf den Pool, Klimaanlage vorhanden. Ich kann dieses Riad und die Mitarbeiter nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Youssef hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz besonderen gemacht und uns jederzeit zur Seite gestanden wenn wir Fragen hatten. Alle Mitarbeiter sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Liebe Grüße an Youssef und das nette Team.

L’emplacement était très bien. Le riad est très beau. Le petit « bassin » sur le rooftop est vraiment un plus, surtout avec les périodes de fortes chaleurs.
Cons: Nous avons cependant été très déçus d’avoir fait confiance à la très bonne notation de l’établissement. Je suis habituée à venir à Marrakech 3 à 4 fois dans l’année et je n’ai jamais été déçue dans aucun des Riad dans lesquels j’ai pu séjourner. Tout d’abord, le séjour a mal commencé dans la mesure où la chambre que j’avais réservé (Chambre Double Deluxe) ne nous a pas été attribué et le personnel n’a rien voulu savoir. Nous étions même prêts à payer plus (alors que nous avions déjà payé le supplément) pour avoir la chambre demandée. La suite était libre sur les deux nuits que nous passions mais rien a été fait pour remédier à ce problème. Pas d’eau, pas de petit frigo dans la chambre. Il faisait très chaud dans la chambre malgré la clim. Accueil très moyenne « not friendly » comparée à ce dont j’ai l’habitude à Marrakech. Je n’aime pas laisser de mauvais avis et retient toujours le positif, mais à part le bassin sur le toit qui a redoré mon expérience, je suis très déçue et je ne reviendrais pas.

Lovely Riad, very welcoming place, staff all lovely and very friendly. Room was nice, clean, bed comfortable and toiletries provided. Good location to walk into the markets and square (once you find your way around all the little lanes). Nice roof top area to chill out with a jacuzzi to cool off in. Breakfast was nice and we ate lunch here too on our arrival, which was a tasty tagine, salad and Moroccan spring rolls. My daughter and I are vegan and they were happy to cater for us. Would definitely stay here if I visited Marrakesh again 🙂

J'ai tout aimé la convivialité du personnel, le petit dej, le lieu situé en plein dans la Medina la vielle ville juste à côté du centre de Marrakech. Le Roof top avec le jacuzzi et les grand lit, la vu sur tout les toit c'était sublime et pour couronner le tout la chambre donnant directement sur la cours intérieur avec ce beau petit balcon vraiment un pure bijoux, la salle de bain avec douche et baignoire. Ce Riad et aucun souci pour sortir le soir il y a toujours quelqu'un pour vous ouvrir juste de passer un coup de fil pour prévenir de notre retour. Ne changez rien merci pour tout ❤️

Superbe riad avec emplacement assez pratique (15-20min à pied de la place principale de Marrakech). Le petit déjeuner est très bon et revu chaque jour, la terrasse avec jacuzzi et la piscine centrale sont très appréciables. Un remerciement tout particulier à Youssef pour sa gentillesse et ses conseils tout au long de notre séjour !! Il s’est même chargé de préparer notre petit déjeuner à 6:30 le jour de notre départ. Merci encore!
Cons: À noter cependant que personne ne vous le dira, mais rien n’est gratuit. On s’est fait surprendre à la fin à devoir payer toutes les bouteilles d’eau fournies à 2€50 l’unité. Personne ne prévient que c’est payant en vous donnant, et la même bouteille vous coûtera uniquement 5 ou 6 dirhams (0,50€) dans la rue. C’est très spécial de tenir une note sans prévenir le client, surtout avec un prix indécent comme celui-ci.

What they gave I would not consider breakfast it was just bread and juice.
Cons: The room was very small and the bed was very hard and it was extremely uncomfortable and it was very hard to communicate with the night staff because he didn’t know any English. We wound up needing an additional night and booked a larger room that was available and that was much better. I wish we would’ve had that one from the beginning. The morning host was excellent the absolute best. There is also not a lot of privacy people can hear you from your room and you can hear people in the courtyard from time to time and they were very loud even though they weren’t if that makes sense. They didn’t clean our rooms or change our towels out or ask. Only 1 day and we stayed for 4 days. The food that they offer is also overpriced. At one point the power continued to go in and out which was inconvenient as I was trying to charge my phone and it was also very hot so the ac was not on while the power repeatedly went out. We also had to drop the key off each time we left and pick it up each time we returned as well as being let out when leaving and ringing a door bell to get back in upon returning which sometimes took a while. That is a hugggge inconvenience and very frustrating they need to change that. But overall staff was very nice and helpful that was the highlight and the property is beautiful…. Looks just like the pictures!

The Riad was absolutely stunning, a paradise within the Medina!!! Our room was luxury and large. The bed was very comfortable. The jacuzzi on the rooftop was a nice touch and great to hop in there late afternoon and relax on the sun beds on the rooftop. We highly recommend a stay here!
Cons: The food quality was lacking, we would suggest the Riad hires a chef to improve the food in the Riad. We would not recommend to eat lunch or dinner there currently. We are English speakers and the host staff only had limited English so it was a little difficult to obtain the exact advice we were after.

Il Riad è moderno, molto pulito e tranquillo. Colazione inclusa abbondante e possibilità di prenotare pranzo/cena in struttura (couscous veramente buono). Le camere sono ampie e dotate di tutti i comfort. Sulla terrazza c’è molto spazio con sdraio e tavolini e la jacuzzi è perfetta per rigenerarsi dopo i giri in città. I ragazzi che si occupano della struttura sono tutti molto gentili, in particolare Youssef (che parla molto bene italiano) ci ha dato informazioni e ha risposto a tutte le nostre curiosità.
Cons: Il riad si trova nella Medina ma la zona è leggermente fuori dal caos dei souk, le strade per arrivarci non sono quindi troppo frequentate.

Riad recentemente aberta ao público, localizada em plena Medina, perto da Madraça Ben Youssef, com estilo contemporâneo e boas comodidades (quem chega à respetiva entrada está longe de conseguir imaginar o que está para lá da porta, tal é o contraste entre o exterior e o interior). Funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis.
Cons: Apesar de a reserva se referir a um quarto “deluxe”, não pareceu ter sido respeitada essa indicação. É pedido que o pagamento das taxas municipais e de outras despesas (transfers, refeições extra, eventuais excursões reservadas na Riad…) seja feito em dinheiro, sem contra-entrega de recibo (o pagamento inicial do valor da reserva, sem as taxas municipais, pode ser feito com cartão).

Cons: Malheureusement il était impossible de bien se reposer. A chaque fois que quelqu'un rentre dans l'établissement, nous entendons la sonnette de la porte d'entrée depuis les chambres. J'ai été réveillée 5-6 fois le samedi soir, ce qui était très agaçant. Il y avait zéro isolation des murs. Je conseille fortement de changer le système de sonnette pour avertir le personnel de venir ouvrir la porte sans réveiller tous les clients qui dorment. En plus, le wifi ne marchait pas dans mas chambre tout au long du séjour.

Séjour exceptionnel au Riad Assouel ! Un très beau riad chic avec une belle décoration. L'endroit est très calme, idéal pour se détendre. Situé au cœur de la médina, dès qu'on sort du riad, on est plongé dans le charme typique de la médina avec toutes ses attractions. Une expérience authentique à ne pas manquer !
Cons: Pour les aspects négatifs, on peut mentionner que l'emplacement du parking est un peu loin et qu'il peut être difficile de trouver une place pour se stationner.

Cons: Unfortunately it is a little from the square and at night it is a nightmare to get back. There were so many closed doors and ways closed that made getting back triple the time it took to get to the square (only 15 min walk during the day). Also the staff really didn’t explain the breakfast and food times very well so when I wanted dinner one day I found out you had to order in advance. My last day I went to have breakfast at 8am when the told me it started only to be told it actually starts at 8:30. I was pretty confused. Also you leave your key with the riad and you don’t have a key to get into the main door you just ring the bell really didn’t like that. Didn’t feel safe waiting for someone to open the door.

Je vous conseille donc de venir avec assez d'espèces pour pouvoir faire du change car les distributeurs de billets en ville ne sont parfois pas assez approvisionnés. L'isolation phonique de la chambre donnant sur la cour intérieure du riad n'est pas optimale, on entend le bruit de la cour (musique, piscine aux heures où elle est activée, conversations etc).
