Very nice riad, kind and helpful host, beautiful terrace. Very rich breakfast. Mint tea and sweet as a welcome, bottled water in the room. The stay exceeded my expectations in this price range.
Cons: The map of the route to the riad sent by the host is not suitable for individual transport without a guide and leads through streets that may not be safe, especially at night. A more suitable route is a taxi to Rue Sidi ben Slimane (there is a taxi stand there) or a bus to Rue Riad Laarous and then a short walk.

One of the greatest experience I've had in my life. Since the arrival in the Riad, the stay, breakfast, commodities, until the last day was marvelous, I completely recommend this place.
Cons: It is inside Medina, so you need to take care with people outside offering help, they will try to charge ou money for a help you didn't ask for.

The staff at Riad Teranga is absolutely lovely - helpful, friendly, accomodating. The room was as advertised, clean and I found what I needed (extra blankets in the cupboard). The Riad itself is pretty, quiet and I loved the location: Wehn you go out, you are not immediately overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle but exit into a quiet street, from which you walk ~5 minutes into the epicentre of crazyness 😅 Lovely restaurants with pretty rooftops 5 minute walking (Simple, Broc the Kasbah).
Cons: No complaints! Just a short note on the location: It is directly next to a mosque, so don't forget your earplugs to avoid being woken every morning around 5 by the call to prayer :) Maybe that is actually something that could be offered by the Riad to those who don't have earplugs with them :)

I loved the accommodation. Many thanks to the friendly and attentive staff. They quickly resolve any queries or issues you may have. They connect you with an airport transfer service. We went on several excursions and, despite the early hours, they also prepared breakfast for us to take away. The accommodation is very nice and well maintained. Located about 20-25 minutes from the square. In a very quiet and welcoming neighbourhood. They also help you with SIM cards at a very good price. I loved it. Thank you very much for the good service and attention.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect. Even the localization 20 minutes away of the square was quiet and calm

We arrived from an 12-hour trip from Merzouga and we stayed at the same place we were before. I had a hard time sleeping and stomach ache, and the staff were so kind to care for me, and even after check out, we left our stuff at the room/office. I stayed in the Riad the whole evening, because the heat was unbearable. Highly recommend, thank you so much! Will return to the same place when visiting Marrakesh, 100%

The staff was super kind. In the last day we had to leave really early and they packed us the breakfast! We stayed in the last floor of the Riad, with a great room and a courtyard just for us! It was so good that we did a 3-day trip outside of Marrakech and on the way back we stayed again at the same place, since we needed a last night. And the breakfast was super tasty! Highly recommend it!
Cons: The staff left some candies and there were some ants in the room, but not a huge problem. You can also hear the first prayer of the mosque before sunrise, so bring your earplugs. Manageable!

From entrance to checkin out our experience was super amazing. All their staffs are exceptional and hospitality on the top. My best of best experience is this stay. Breakfast is royal and sooo tasty. Staff Mr YUSUF, 1 another guy was on my last day was very helpful. They know what they are doing and have excellent talent of having guests from all over the world. I can't express how lovely it was to stay in teranga. On my check out day we woke up late but still staff made us breakfast at very late time. And that thing touched our heart. Let us use their facility even after check out timing and we were treated impressingly. Don't think, just book this stay (:

The best about this place is the manager Yousseff and the location because is close to lot of things and was convenient. But probably you will not like the Medina where the hotel is located :/ We like that Youssef was kind and efficient to accommodate the breakfast service according to our tours schedule. We want to thank Yousseff for arranging everything, tours and taxis everywhere. And also because he was as our service, providing me information and advice about good restaurants and places where to go around. One of the best restaurant is 1 minute far from hotel. Kind of expensive but worth the money for a good service/quality and tasty food. We got here our first night and was the highlight of our trip (Yousseff’s recommendation)
Cons: We were expecting to have food available 24 hrs. at the hotel. We understood that they offer fresh food service at the same hotel we were staying. the But at least not in the one that we were staying. It looks like there is other hotel that belongs to them where they have it. And for us was a big inconvenience to order in advance etc and I guess that they will transport the food somehow and we were expecting something different. We are foodie people so for us was a disappointment. And actually we picked this hotel because of the reviews about the food. Also the toiletries could be better as well as the breakfast. The place have a small kitchen, like a normal kitchen in a house but the food/bread was warmed up in a microwave :/ we never use a microwave at home because we do not like it so this aspect was also a turn off. Plus the flies all the time around the food make it less enjoyable. Maybe they can put something to distract flies.

The staff were friendly and helpful, making this beautiful place feel like a home away from home. As it was our first visit to the country, we felt unsure navigating the Medina- but they provided all the guidance and advice we needed. The airport transfer service was excellent and hassle-free. On the day of the excursion, they prepared an early breakfast for us, and when we requested dinner for our late-night arrival, they waited and served a delicious meal despite the hour. Thanks to their support, our trip was absolutely perfect.

What a fantastic little gem in the back streets of the old Medina of Marrakech, just a stone's throw from all the main attractions. Youssef was an excellent host, and made us feel very welcome. He spent time with us every day discussing what we got up to each day and giving advice on where and where not to go. The food was traditional Moroccan and absolutely delicious, especially the breakfasts which were huge and very satisfying. Our bedroom was enormous and the decor authentic, traditional and beautiful. We used the airport transport arranged by Youssef, who came to meet us from the taxi and guided us through the maze of streets to the Riad. Stepping into the narrow streets around the Riad was like going back in time - a wonderful experience. Also a big thank you to the 2 ladies who worked in the Riad - they always had a smile on their faces and were very helpful. We highly recommend this unique and authentic Riad.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff arranged us airport shuttle and helped carry our luggages to the riad (also when we left). We had lunch on our arrival day, the appetizer salad was huge and tasty. For maincourse, we chose tagine and love the chicken option. The riad itself is beautiful with colorful tiles and details of the doors. We stayed in Argane room which is on the ground floor. It was nice that there's an extra smaller bed which we used as a sofa. There're plenty space in the closet to store our clothes and the small suitcases. The breakfast was fullfilled with delicious local and homemade bread, eggs, cheese, jam, syrup, tea, coffee, milk, pancakes, fruits, and desserts. They gave us generous amount of milk and coffee. Mint tea tastes very good too. We especially like their omelette a lot! Our room were cleaned every morning after breakfast time. We didn't like to stay outside late, so we usually ate dinner on their rooftop (we bought ourselves, but you can order from them in advance). The riad gave us a peaceful feeling when we stayed there, everything felt like home somehow and we slept so much better here. Youssef and Ayoub were very kind and helpful, they gave us advice when we needed help about the area. They're two of our best hosts we've ever had 😊 The ladies there are very nice too. They all try their best to give us a comfort stay ❤️ We'd love to be here again one day... 🫶 *There're nice private (groceries) shops of the local people nearby, we recommend to visit them because the prices are more reasonable and it's good to support the locals. I love buying the Khobz bread from the old man's tiny shop, he was also very happy that I love their Moroccan bread.
Cons: Here are things to keep in minds: Since it's a riad and they don't have floor heating, it's cold in the evening in the bathroom to shower (we stayed in january). The shower's system is different with 2 separate taps for hot and cold water, have to adjust every time you turn it on (be careful not to accidentally 'burn' yourself with either hot or cold water when firstly turn it on). It'd be nice if the shower head can be hung on with different angles, there's no shower curtains so the water gonna sprays everywhere (we hold it all the time to shower). We did enjoy the shower on the last days because we got used to the cold 😆 We're morning people so it's not a problem, but if you're not, there's a mosque nearby, they'll pray around at 06:55-7:10 in the morning. It's better to sleep early enough that you won't be angry in the morning 😉

Riad’s location is pretty nice, not too crowded by tourist and close to local market. The breakfast was nice and complete, perfect for a slow morning.
Cons: However, it is located just in front of a mosque, so it could get loud during call prayer times. The bed was also a bit too stiff for my preference. And weirdly, the duvet was found inside the cupboard not in the duvet cover. So we had to put the duvet in by ourselves.

Youssef was very very accomodating and also welcoming! He spoke eloquently and also had a sense of humour, we were taken care of and breakfast was also hearty! We wished we could stay for a few days and not only a night but nonetheless, it was a quaint area in the heart of busy Marrakech, lovely place, lovely people. Alhamdulillah, Masya Allah! They have a lovely terrace too! And nearby a mosque where you can hear the adzan in the wee mornings, therapeutic and perfect!

First time visitor to Morocco and was so impressed with Youssef and his team. The Beauty services and food were excellent- best breakfast with homemade yoghurt honey, jam, fruit, two types of hot pancakes were scrumptious and their tagine dinners were fantastic - really fell into the cadence of both the frantic pace of the Medina markets and the contemplative call to prayer wafting over the city. Plus an extra bonus is being located next to a restaurant and rooftop bar to die for in Dar Zellij.

Amazing place. In the center of the old medina. A minutes close to the traditional shops and al fnaa square. Very clean and spacious room. The whole house is magnificent and a true presentation of a traditional moroccan house. The terrace is fantastic for some team/coffee break. The breakfast is delicious and fresh, and they add anything you ask for. The staff are very welcoming and kind, whenever we need to get up early for an excursion, they'd prepare breakfast for us even though it's too early. I highly recommend this Place if you are ever visiting Marrakech.

A wonderful Riad with original features. Comfy and beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful. Yousef, the host, was so supportive.
Cons: The masjid is so close that the muezzin to the call of prayer sounds like he isn't calling the beautiful AZAN. He needs to not put off guests by his voice but rather be welcoming as is a chant to the call of the prayer. Usually, it is melodious. The pillows were too thick.

We had the most incredible stay at Riad Dar Teranga in Marrakech. The riad itself is absolutely stunning, with a beautifully authentic Moroccan vibe that immerses you in the culture from the moment you step in. The atmosphere is enhanced by traditional music that really adds to the charm. The location is ideal—everything is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast was perfect, with fresh, delicious options that set us up for a great day of sightseeing. But what truly made the experience special was the host, Youssef. He was incredibly generous, always willing to help with anything we needed, and by the end of our stay, he had become a good friend. His warm hospitality made us feel like we were at home. If you're looking for a place with an authentic Moroccan experience and a host who goes above and beyond, Riad Dar Teranga is the perfect choice. I can't wait to come back!

Riad Dar Tarenga was a 10/10. Its first of all very affordable considering how much Yousef and other workers put effort into making sure we had the best experience in Marrakech, giving advises and also helping in every way possible. Mentioning my gluten free desire for breakfast, they brought choices like no other hotel ever did. Yousef woke up for us early on the morning to prepare us breakfast before our flight, on the checkout day. Room is super clean and has a lot of space, cleaner changes towels and clean room in the best way possible, and the place is in every way adorable. If I am ever lucky to visit Marrakech again, this will be my nr 1 choice! I recommend this place for everyone HIGHLY.

This is a welcoming oasis in the Medina frensy and always a pleasure to enter the location after stroling around the city or the surroundings. Youssef is an amazing host that makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the first minute until the end of your stay. Great traditional breakfast and you may get some treats such as omelettes, courtesy of Youssef. The staff is attentive on all issues and keeps the room tidy and clean everyday. We enjoyed our stay in Riad Dar Teranga as the manager was so, so kind and helpful. He went out of his way to help us and even made our teenage son a snack when we arrived late at night! Where to start? Youssef welcomes you with open arms and makes sure you are as comfortable as can be. Breakfasts in the morning are incredible with freshly made orange juice, yogurt, rolls, egg dishes, and fruit. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and have good wi-fi but no TV which is OK, you're on vacation!
Cons: A coffee maker in the room would be nice although there is one in the courtyard. Maybe a chair in your room as well. The bathroom is well laid out and clean but it's a tall sided tub and if you're a short person it could be challenging getting in and out comfortably.

Hotel & staff absolutely amazing! From the moment Youssef met us at the shuttle that he had arranged we knew we had picked the right place. The bedroom suites were exeptional. Quite, tasfully decorated and comfortable. The hotel was very clean and looked after to a high standard. Breakfast, which was huge was served right up to 11am which was a relxing start to the day. We ate evening meals at the hotel on 3 occassions and the food did not disapoint. The terrace on the top floor was a lovely quite space to enjoy. The best thing about our stay was Youssef, the hotel manager. He was so helpful, knowlegable, warm and could not do enough for us. He made the stay even better.

Cons: Several aspects of our experience have been quite disappointing. Firstly, there's an unpleasant odor of dampness lingering in the air. This became properly a home in Marrakesh - all thanks to Youssef! Youssef's presence really transformed our stay in Marrakesh - from our arrival and the generous recommendations to the most amazing breakfast we had in Morocco (including among fancy patisseries) and to the general warmth and friendliness that we were surrounded by. The riad itself is beautiful and atmospheric, with comfortable rooms, and is very well-located. The surrounding area is very safe with children playing out in the streets, and the busy souk is just 2 min away. We absolutely loved our stay, coming back in the evenings felt like returning home, so we would stay again, and also stay in any place managed by Youssef, the most amazing host.

It’s a period property in the heart of Medina for a true Moroccan experience. For us the star was our host Yusuf, a charming young man who made sure that our needs are met during the stay. Couldn’t ask for better host.

I stayed at Riad Dar Teranga with my boyfriend and his parents for 4 nights and it was a great experience! The location is BEAUTIFUL! The rooms are big and wonderfully decorated, there are comfortable beds, clean sheets, big bathrooms and the daily cleaning service is very good. We had such an amazing breakfast every morning with local products such as bread, crepes, cakes, homemade yogurt, honey, coffee, milk, tea and much more... and everything was just delicious, every morning! Before booking I read the previous reviews and I was a bit concerned about the morning prayer and people complaining about how loud it was, well it's true but that's everywhere inside the medina. If you want to stay centrally you will hear the morning prayer EVERYWHERE, there's a mosque in every corner. It was not a big deal to us, and we found it an interesting part of the culture to experience. The staff was absolutely TIRELESS and we really want to mention Yousef who was just wonderful and made sure our stay was perfect. He gave us precious tips and helped make our stay in Marrakech great! It’s a small intimate property with just 4 double/triple rooms. The host is excellent and very helpful. The location is a few minutes walk from the medina and good restaurants. The roof terrace is also a nice place to have a drink and snack. Our host is very accommodating and arrived early on the day of our departure to ensure we had breakfast before leaving.
Cons: The Riad can only be located on foot 5/10mins walk from the main road. The breakfast is generous, tasty and culturally typical, consisting of breads, cake, pancakes, sweet yogurt, chopped banana and pastries. However Western visitors are more used to having some protein items like egg or meat in the breakfast. My suggestion: Give boiled eggs in the shell instead of using the eggs to make pancakes. The Spa facility is not appealing. It’s a room with two beds. This room would be better utilised as another guest room or something.

Very attentive staff, response from Ali on booking platform was fast; Mehdi and Youssef were extremely attentive, honest, and made me and my 20 year old (apprehensive to visit!) daughter feel at home in our first-ever trip to Morocco in this b&b Riad. This included solid advice where to go, and places and people to avoid, among other important tips. The room was immaculate and comfortable, the breakfast was lovely. Coming from US, I was pleased to find they speak perfect English. When it was 111° outside, the ice cold AC was heavenly.
Cons: There is very little - if anything - to complain about other than what might be commensurate with a visit to that area of Marrakech: hustle and bustle, not a resort. The Riad is not directly accessible by car- driver must park a couple of blocks away - but both checking in and checking out, we were personally escorted from car to Riad and vice versa by the aforementioned gentlemen, which again was only a positive thing. The corridors of the Medina are what they are: at times, intense with mopeds, carts, people zipping around a bit too close for comfort, a few too many “guides” accosting you at the slightest eye contact or politeness trying to work their hustle, though thankfully this location is a decent balance between walkable to everything but just-outside of the craziness. Once inside, the Riad is serene. Daily salah prayer at 5:15am was unexpected but as a new westerner, i respect the customs and found it a bit fascinating, if a good wake-up for a fast paced vacay.

I would like to write a review in English for Riad Dar Teranga and its manager Mehdi, who was extremely helpful during my vacation. He saved me from being ripped off. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Dar Teranga during my vacation, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. The riad itself is beautifully designed, with traditional Moroccan architecture and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. However, what truly made my stay memorable was the outstanding service provided by the manager, Mehdi. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure that I had a fantastic time in Marrakech. He was always available to answer any questions I had and provided valuable recommendations for places to visit and eat. One incident that particularly stood out was when Mehdi saved me from being scammed by a local „guide“ when I was on my way to the Riad Mehdi's dedication to his guests' satisfaction is truly commendable. He consistently went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Whether it was arranging transportation, booking excursions, or simply offering a friendly conversation, Mehdi was always there to assist me. Overall, my stay at Riad Dar Teranga was made exceptional by the exceptional service provided by Mehdi. I highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakech, as it offers not only a beautiful and comfortable accommodation but also a manager who genuinely cares about his guests' well-being. Thank you, Mehdi, for making my vacation unforgettable!

I liked how it was tucked away and not far away from the Medina and main square. Youseff and Mehdi were amazing hosts and made sure my stay was comfortable from start to finish. Room was clean and fresh and the breakfast was plentiful. I will be back soon! Any questions I had Youseff and Mehdi were helpful to answer. Once again thank you soo much! I will be back 5 star service.

Great location and very good and helpful host.
Cons: I suffer from allergic rhinitis and if you do, this won’t be a great choice because of the house dust in the riad, idk if this could be changed as this is how it was build.

The staff younus/ mehedi were awesome hosts It was old riad which is now used for a hotel., so some of the facilities are bit old - so anyone booking do not expect to be like modern hotel
Cons: Location is not accessible by taxi

The personnell, especially Mehdi, is an angel! He welcomed us kindly and organized SPA, city guide, etc. He also helped us to plan our 2 days in Marrakech as we did not have any concrete itinerary. The Riad is located in a area where you have to walk a bit to the main square, but therefore in calm and secure. The included breakfast was also very cute in the patio and we fully enjoyed our stay :) We went even twice to the same restaurants which Mehdi recommended us, as they were so good!
Cons: Nothing!

The staff was just amazing and helpful with each of our request. I even had a gluten free breakfast every morning and I definitely did not expect it. Also, they prepared it half and hour earlier especially for us cause we had to leave for an excursion. The entire experience was just perfect and I loved the atmosphere in the Riad. I would definitely go back if I had the chance. 100% recommended!
Cons: As we checked in very late in the middle of the night, I was very surprised when the loud prayer started at 4.30 am and woke us up suddenly. However, it got better the following nights since we were prepared and it’s part of the culture so not a big deal at all. There is really nothing bad to say about our stay.

Nicely decorated, small and intime. Close to the medina.
Cons: The Mosque is the closest neighbor and you will probably be well aware in the early morning as it is very loud. The morning prayer last for quite some time. One of the staff was not too much attentive to the guest, to say hello is a good habit when a guest enter. A bit humid in the room

Very nice riad, authentic decoration, clean, good athmosphere, friendly, service minded English speaking staff (also French and Arabic). Delicious breakfast. Helpful to arrange transfers, guides etc.
Cons: You will probably hear the close by prayers early morning, but it will stop after a while. It’s just a part of the authenticity😁

Very nice facility. Great value . The manager Medi was exceptional. we arrive late and he had our requested dinner ready. Breakfast each day was lovely. The transportation from and to the airport was perfect - would highly recommend that, as it would be hard to find the place by yourself. But once there, we were able to walk to everything easily.
Cons: The only thing to know is that there is a mosque very nearby, so the call to prayer is loud. it didn’t really bother us and we think added to the charm.

The property was very clean with a patio. It had a rooftop with sunbeds. the rooms got cleaned every day and they gave us fresh towels. The Housekeeping team even folded our pajamas. The Square, sightseeing places, Hamam places and good restaurants were walking distance.
Cons: The islam Mosk is very Close you can hear the prayers call in the morning.

Very nice riad, confortable and spacious rooms. The staff is also amazing, they are very helpful, friendly and flexible. We also had dinner there and it was very good.
Cons: There is a mosque next door and prayers can be quite loud in the morning, so providing ear plugs for the night could be a great idea.

great location, clean and staff very at tentative to our needs!
Cons: (Not property related) but the kids that try escort you to your hotel (even after multiple times saying not interested in there help) are really annoying and can be very rude and threatening. do not talk to them, ignore them 100% and know where you are going before getting out the taxi. once they see you puzzled they target you.

The location and the atmosphere were great, the staff was very helpful and gave us a lot of good advice about which places to visit. Our train was in the late afternoon and we were able to rest a bit in the hotel common area even after check-out time.

I like the property for its good location, very near to souq. Very accomodating staff Yousef and Mehdi were very nice and helpful. They make sure you have a comfortable stay. I really feel sad to leave to transfer to other riad. Highly recommended and if ever I'll come back to Marrakech I will definitely stay again in this riad

We knew it was a recently open Riad so there were not many reviews at the time however, we had a very pleasant stay and were very satisfied. The team is exceptionally hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The Riad is inside the Medina a short walk from some good restaurants. The Moroccan breakfast was really sumptuous. The rooms are clean, airconditioned with ensuite bathrooms. Another advantage was a parking lot 5 mins from the Riad which was secure. We wish Youseff and Mehdi all the success in this venture of theirs. Thank you!

Riad Dar Teranga is an oasis in the heart of the old Medina. The manager of this Riad is the same of Riad Dar Hamid. Excelent service and staff. Breakfast is very delicious and served on the terrace with a view of the old Medina. The room is very clean and warm. We did some spa treatments in the other Riad Dar Hamid. When you book here, they give you access to both riads. They organise excursions for us. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
