Absolutely loved our time at the Riad, the place looks gorgeous and it’s a great spot for exploring the souks and the palace. Ayoub was very helpful and very accommodating from picking us up from the airport to daily breakfast and arranging a day tour to see the atlas mountains. 10/10 ✨

Ayoub was a fantastic host. He was extremely helpful, welcoming, and made us the best meal that we had while in Marrakech. The location of the riad is fantastic, close to the centre, shops, and cafes, but buried enough in a side street to be calm and quiet. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
Cons: The room was not very well sound proofed. It was not a major issue, but it meant that others in the riad opening doors etc. could be heard easily.

As soon as I entered I was welcomed by Ayoub who made me traditional mint tea, brought out biscuits and offered me help with whatever I needed. He was very friendly and we had a great chat. The road is very quiet and peaceful, and I wish I could've stayed longer.
Cons: It's a bit tricky to get to but that's because it's in the old city, definitely worth the trek to get there.

We really loved this accommodation! The riad is very very beautiful and charming. The best part of this place is Ayoub. He is extremely kind and friendly, helping us with everything we need and giving us a lot of interesting information. He also prepared a delicious breakfast for us every day. He is an amazing host and made our stay even better. The riad is in a great location, just a 15 minute walk from the center We highly recommend this place!!!

We spent three wonderful days at Riad Azawan and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The riad is beautifully and quietly located in the southern part of the medina, the beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast is fantastic — with the best coffee we had during our ten days in Morocco. Above all, Ayoub, the heart of the riad, took such kind, helpful, and patient care of us and shared many interesting stories and insights. We thank Ayoub and the entire team at Riad Azawan from the bottom of our hearts for a truly lovely stay!

The guy was super nice and helpful, available when needed and paying attention that we were always having what we needed and feeling welcome. He showed us the way in the confusing streets to make sure we arrived safely and recommended us a lot of restaurants and places to visit. We came at the end of December and it was very cold outside, so we appreciated the heating in the room and bathroom!! The rooftop súper for having a coffee under the sun and views to the Atlas!
Cons: It is dark, as it is designed for coping with hot weather. Not so accommodated for winter time, but they have heating and blankets in the room and it was alright and cozy! Breakfast is high in carbs. Little vegetable option.

First off, Ayoub was an amazing host! However, as a first time Africa traveler from America there were some things worth mentioning. I’m unsure if these things are normal for riads, but we noticed them. The room we stayed in (the only room on the entry level floor) has very little privacy. (The upper rooms had more.) It directly adjoins the interior courtyard where breakfast and dinner are served, and there are two windows (admittedly with covers you can’t see through) (one in the bathroom and one next to the bed.) these do…. nothing to block any sounds. Ayoub was very respectful in trying to keep the other guests quiet, but you still heard everyone entering and exiting the Riad. The entire place was very clean except for the sealant around the bathroom sink. You must take extremely short showers as the hot water runs out in a few minutes. The location was perfect if you want to be away from the noises of the main square! It is far enough from the main bustle to be quiet except the next door mosque’s call to prayer daily, but close enough you can get to the main square in twenty to thirty minutes depending on your walking speed. I would come here again, but stay in one of the quieter and more private upstairs rooms. And definitely take Ayoub up on a breakfast and/or dinner! Be aware that there is a 5 euro per night (for us as a couple) city tourism (?) “tax” that you pay afterwards. We think this is normal as google says it was. Plenty of places to exchange money around.

We found everything fantastic. We wish our stay could have been longer, but we had a scheduled tour, so it was only a quick one night stay and left before breakfast. The host was so kind and made us a great breakfast to take with us in our trip! The call to prayer is loud, but we were up already.
Cons: We found everything amazing and we’re so glad we stayed.

Ayoud was great. He really made the stay wonderful. He helped with restaurants, taxis and my SIM card. Make sure you try his scrambled eggs. The bed was wonderfully supportive and the roof top was a very relaxing place for the early evenings.

The hospitality! Ayoub took a very good care of us. It was very peaceful and great atmosphere inside the riad. We had the best chicken tajine with lemon. No other restaurants in whole Marrakech or Fes came close to that. The room was very clean and comfortable. Ayoub was very friendly. From serving us tea while explaining the Berber culture, showing us route to the main square, giving dinner recommendations he was there always to attend to all of our needs. Bon accueil.

Great location, 10 minutes' walk from the main square Jemaa el-Fna. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and nice. The breakfast was bountiful and absolutely delicious. The service was also really good, information provided was accurate and everything was great or even exceeded our expectations. The Riad management also accommodated a special request to stay an extra night with late notice, which we appreciate tremendously. We were welcomed by Ayoub, one of the most helpful, friendly and dedicated people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! We had many nice conversations and interactions. He gave us a succinct and extremely helpful overview of the Medina and activities we could enjoy. He always welcomed us with a smile. We will remember him for the rest of our lives and hope to come back soon, if anything just to say hi and have a cup of tea with him.
Cons: The only downside was the proximity to a mosque, which had prayers at 5am. Outside of prayers, it was a cool, quiet and welcoming place. It felt like home!

Beautiful Riad in a quiet part of kasbah. The neighbours are all very friendly. Felt very safe even walking late night. So easy to walk to main attractions and also super easy to arrange pick ups for day trips. The rooms had good air con and the entire riad was really clean. Good shower I loved the pressure. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. Ayoub is a fantastic host. He was so helpful and genuinely a very kind person making him a perfect host. He is also very knowledgeable and will help out with any questions. On our last day Ayoub kindly prepared a breakfast slightly earlier than the usual breakfast time as we wanted to be at the airport in time. We really appreciated Ayoub for all the small things like that that make a big difference. He also makes a wonderful tagine! We ate twice in the riad and both times the food was very delicious and authentic on our last night we wanted to eat out one last time to soak up the city but the place we chose was disappointing their tagine lacked care and flavour, I regret not having our last dinner in the Riad, Ayoub also makes very delicious tea. Big THANK YOU to Ayoub for his hospitality we really appreciated his presence and warmth. Also, was not expecting to be sharing the riad with a tiny bird family! We love bird watching so this was a lovely surprise! I loved watching them at breakfast each morning industriously going about their day picking up twigs for their nest in the riad.

The Riad is beautifully decorated, has a great roof top and the breakfast was unbeatable. Impeccably clean and Ayoub made sure all our needs were attended to. I like walking so it was in a walkable distance from all I needed to see.
Cons: The hot water was a struggle every day. Sometimes the water had to run for 20 mins to just get luke warm. Also room size includes bathroom so the actual bedroom part is smaller than what is stated on the listing. (I have found most listings don't include bathroom size so was expecting a bigger room). It has a decent cupboard so you can put things out of the way it wasn't really a negative just letting it be known. The mosque is very close so call to prayer was quite loud. I feel like this should be stated in the description more clearly than it is currently. Silence broken by call to prayer or whatever the wording is is a bit misleading. It didn't affect our stay but people have a right to know and then choose accordingly. Having said all that I still give it 10/10 and would stay again.

Super friendly welcome with Moroccan tea in the peaceful internal courtyard. The room was comfy with an extra blanket for the cold evenings in December. They also had a little electric heater which was very much appreciated and warmed the room nicely in the evening. We were leaving before breakfast so they arranged a breakfast bag for us to take with us which was very tasty! We were only there for a night before leaving to the airport, but had a very comfortable stay and would have happily stayed longer. It was great value for money.
Cons: The mosque is very close and quite loud in the morning. This didn't disturb us as we were already up early to get to the airport (and we quite like it) but the call can be heard from most places in the Medina anyway.

The manager at property is such a kind person. Breakfast was more than what is offered at similar properties Location is quiet which we loved Overall property is in good condition Bed was comfortable for me as I like medium hard beds Pillows were comfortable. Bedsheets were spot clean!
Cons: The only problem was the bathing area which was not as clean as rest of the property. With simple improvement such as adding new shower curtain and some deep cleaning of the mold on the walls, the issue could have been resolved. Not a major issue but an area for improvement for this lovely Riad

We loved everything about this property, including the professionalism and the warmth of the staff (thank you, Ayoub!). We'd recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in the Medina where it's close enough to walk to the main parts without being in the midst of the chaos and tourist crowds. The Riad itself is beautiful and retains much of its rustic charm with all of the modern amenities required for a comfortable stay. We stayed five nights and enjoyed our time here. Ayoub was especially helpful in arranging for our transport from the airport, in recommending local spots to eat and giving us tips about the local culture. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each day, patiently put together by Ayoub. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and we hope to be back sometime!

Beautiful small riad in a quiet part of the casbah, but only 100 meters from the main road with shops, cafes, restaurants, bike rental and taxis. An easy walk to all the sights. Cons: The location is not the best. Is a little outside of the medina and to get to it you have to go through streets that don't seem so safe (at least by night) so we took a lot of taxi. The room we got was a little to small, you have no space if you want to leave your things in your lugagge and not unpack it.

The host Ayoub was extremely helpful, giving us directions and advice for our stay in the area. The Riad was done in a traditional Moroccan design but updated with modern conveniences. Breakfast was delicious along with some history provided by Ayoub about Berber customs and the tea pouring highlighted our stay at Riad Azawan. We highly recommend travellers to enjoy this beautiful Riad when visiting Marrakech.

This riad was in a quieter area in Marrakech (the Kasbah), which we liked - away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the cities, but still close to restaurants and walking distance to all the attractions (20-45 minutes depending on the area you are going to). The place was well decorated and our room was good - comfortable bed and while not that big, there was lots of space to tuck bags etc. out of the way. Ayoub, our host, was a friendly chill guy, who had lots of great info for us, and always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful each day, although not any variety in the three mornings- but that was fine for us. Great stay here, all in all!
Cons: Shower didn’t have great pressure, and seemed to need a bit of a good scrub.

The best part of the Riad is Ayoub itself, he is very friendly and makes us feel like as we are at home. Ayoub cooked for us an amazing dinner and help us in the last day by giving us a breakfast before the usual hours so we could eat before leaving for an appointment. Besides that he was always available to give us advices and explain how we could reach each of the places we wanted to see. It was a pleasure to stay in this Riad and meet Ayoub.
Cons: The Riad is located inside the Medina where the streets are very small and a car can’t leave us right on the Riad but one more time Ayoub was amazing and meet us where our driver left us.

The location of the riad was perfect, some walk from the central square, but inside the kasbah which seemed a much better place to stay than the medina. Breakfast was very good. Our host Ayoub gave us a warm welcoming and was very attentive during our stay. He was very kind and helpful to all questions we had.
Cons: The riad is near a small mosque so unless you are a deep sleeper you'll hear the morning call for prayer. Our room had some humidity (we were on the ground floor).

We had a great stay at Riad Azawan - recommend this Riad. Ayoub was welcoming from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Gave us good recommendations and tips for visiting Marrakech. Great chats as well. The terrace is nice, with a nook to read a book and relax from the heat. Room was comfortable, clean and we slept well. Location is out of the busy Medina but just a simple straight line walk to the main square. We loved coming back to the quieter kasbah at night.
Cons: Nothing.

for a woman alone, this Riad was perfect, I couldn't have felt safer. Ayoub made sure I found my way, helped me with everything and gave me many advises and where to go and what toa void. the Riad was in the middle of the old town and I felt safe in the neighbourhood and inside the Riad. I cannot be more thankful about that. Breakfast was onpoint, they even adjusted it to my preferences, and compared to where my friend's Riad, I had a richer, more nutritive one. the was no noise from the street,
Cons: the only negative point is that the lock on the door make a lot of noise, so when sone come back at night they will surely wa you up weh they open their door.

From start to finish , this booking has been nothing short of delightful, the host ayyoub has excellent hospitality and made us feel like we were at home. Breakfast every morning was at the time we required and was very tasty. The beds were comfortable and the whole riad was very clean at all times. Definitely recommend this RIAD if you want a nice quiet place to stay not too far from the hustle and bustle . Will definitely be back Insha Allah!

Breakfast of traditional Moroccan pancakes and pastries with dips and yoghurt-cheese, coffee, juice, mint tea, impeccably served by our host Ayoub along with an explanation of why the tea had to be poured from a great height! Cosy bedroom with traditionally decorated en-suite bathroom, use of the courtyard, a first floor chilled seating area in the shade and a roof terrace. Service attentive but not intrusive - it was like having your own butler. House cool despite high temps outside, excellently located in a proper working neighbourhood and within walking distance of many of Marrakech's notable attractions. The area felt very safe provided you keep your wits about you for the many scooters and mopeds that come bombing down the lanes! It was nice to feel "part" of the city rather than just a tourist, and Ayoub was able to furnish us with local knowledge
Cons: We booked late and had the smallest room, which had louvred doors with no real soundproofing, which felt like every cough and sneeze would be echoing around the courtyard! That said, they are traditional so I'm not sure what the remedy would be (other than I've booked a bigger room for next time!).

We got delicious Moroccan breakfast every morning, which was an amazing start to the day. The staff is lovely, we felt so welcomed and at home. If we find ourselves back in Marrakech, we will definitely stay here again :)

The host Ayoub was exceptional. He was welcoming, very friendly and always present, always making sure that we felt comfortable and got everything we needed. On our first night he stayed up very long because we came late at night and he made sure to pick us up and bring us to the location and even cooked an excellent 3 course meal for us. The facilities were amazing too. It was a wonderful traditional riad, very clean and very comfortable with a beautiful rooftop terrace. The location is amazing as well, it is very quiet but not far from the center. Once you are in the riad you are in your own oasis and are able to relax and enjoy some quiet time after the chaos of the markets. We loved everything about our stay and would always come back!

Great and safe location! Close enough to walk to everything, but far enough to have some peace & quiet. The property is very nice as well, extremely comfortable with plenty of places to relax (including a great rooftop terrace). The hosts like to have some nice music on during the non-quiet hours and are friendly and easy to chat with. They make a nice breakfast and will offer you delicious Moroccan tea whenever you need.

As a female solo traveller, Marrakech can feel a bit intimidating at first, but Ayoub and Said were incredibly kind and helpful and provided invaluable knowledge of the local area, booked my spa for me and printed out my flight boarding tickets. The hospitality was beyond expectation. Our host Ayoub catered to our every needs and he even printed our return flight boarding passes because the Marrakesh airport does not accept electronic tickets. Also, the owner, Said, arrived from time to time and he also provided valuable information regarding tours and where to save money while shopping for souvenirs. Overall, Riad Azawan provided excellent service and an authentic morrocan atmosphere.
Cons: Noting that I truly disliked anything, but I was not prepared for occasional noises coming from guests chatting in the courtyard when I needed to sleep, and the morning muslim prayers recited over loudspeakers in the neighborhood. Having said that, I am glad that I was able to enjoy a truly authentic experience in Marrakesh.

My recent stay at Riad Azawan in Marrakesh was a delightful experience, largely thanks to the welcoming atmosphere fostered by hosts Ayoub and Teresa. Teresa with Her warm hospitality and exceptional patience made us feel right at home. She graciously addressed all our questions, no matter how trivial, and her valuable recommendations enriched our time in Marrakesh. Teresa's personal touch ensured that my friend and I were not only comfortable but genuinely looked after during our stay. The combination of Riad Azawan's convenient location and Teresa's attentive hosting made for a memorable trip. In addition Ayoub's culinary skills were fantastic, and he was always friendly and ready to assist with daily tasks. What stood out was Ayoub's kindness in helping with language barriers and we are incredibly grateful for his unwavering assistance. I left Riad Azawan not just with fond memories of Marrakesh but also with a deep appreciation for the genuine hospitality provided by Teresa and Ayoub. In future, when I return to Marrakesh, booking with Riad Azawan and reconnecting with these wonderful hosts will be a priority. Highly recommended for a personalised and enjoyable stay in the heart of the city.

Phenomenal place to stay in Marrakech. This Riad was small and felt private, but was right on the edge of the Kasbah district and next to the palais. The bedding was extraordinarily comfortable - rich cotton sheets, plush duvets and proper pillows - and the breakfast was wonderful. There's also a great roof terrace and balcony to use and enjoy. The standout here was that the service was phenomenal: attentive but very chilled and welcoming. We felt right at home immediately.
Cons: The double room is directly adjacent to the atrium of the Riad - the doors to the room are right next to the breakfast table - and you can hear everything going on in the main space as if it's happening in the room with you. The same is true the other way around: you can hear everything from within the room from the atrium space. Not a problem for us but those seeking a bit of privacy or quiet might want to book one of the suites instead.

We enjoyed our stay! We had a warm welcome with mint tea and a chat with Ayoub (staff). Ayoub is a very kind person, he is everytime there for you. We had one of the bigger rooms with balcony. Everything was clean, the room and the whole riad is comfy and stylish. We had amazing and big breakfast. Love it! To the big square in the medina and the souks you have to walk about 25 minutes. But in the surrounding are also good restaurants etc.

What a fantastic Riad! This was our first stop in Morocco, and they took care of everything from airport pickup to drop-off. Communication with the host was seamless, and from the moment we arrived, Ayoub made us feel completely at home. The rooms were not only cozy but also exceptionally clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning worked like a charm. Surprisingly, they offered the best Wi-Fi we encountered during our entire Moroccan trip. Ayoub went above and beyond, accommodating our last-minute lunch requests and surprising us with the most delicious sandwiches, followed by a mouthwatering three-course dinner. All in all, our stay was absolutely wonderful. If you're considering it, don't hesitate – just book your stay here. You won't regret it!
