It was wonderful to stay in an authentic Riad within the Medina area. The area was surrounded by local people who lived and worked there allowing us to truly experience the culture. The staff , especially Ibrahim , could not have done more for us, they were incredibly kind and helpful. The Sof & yan was a calm oasis in a bustling city. Superb!

The stay was beyond what I expected, I have nothing bad to say about it even if I tried. We had 2 stays over a 3 night period and everybody was so friendly and helpful. Khalid was absolutely great with us, making us some gorgeous tea when we arrived late and made us some beautiful breakfast to keep us going for a long couple of days and being very social. The manager was super friendly and cool with us helping us out however we needed. The rooms were quality, the rooftop was quality.

We had a wonderful stay at the riad in Marrakech. Everything was very welcoming and we immediately felt at home. The hosts Ibrahim & Khalid were very kind, attentive and accommodating, and also flexible whenever we needed something. The riad was very clean and centrally located, which made it easy to explore Marrakech. The food was also really good and we enjoyed having meals there. One thing to keep in mind is that the nearest car drop-off point is about a 7-minute walk from the accommodation. If you have luggage, it is worth arranging the arrival with the riad in advance. On our way back, Ibrahim was very kind and carried our luggage all the way to the pick-up point, which was a great help. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

It was clean, well maintained and has all the facilities as listed. The staffs are really hardworking, friendly and helpful. Ibrahim took care of everything. The other guy was also nice and hardworking but i forgot his name. There is always someone present even at night since the staff takes turn for the shifts so everything runs smooth.

Both Brahim and Khalid were amazing staff, we were always welcomed with a smile and any issues or queries were responded to instantly. The Riad is amazing but would be empty without the two of them and their excellent hospitality.
Cons: Only thing that would be better is a key to the main door for each guest instead of having to ring the doorbell. This avoids potentially disturbing other guests.

Le service de l’équipe qui était toujours très agréable et attentionnée et une mention spéciale pour Brahim qui est donné de très bon conseils pour les différents lieux à visiter et organiser des activités et sorties ( quad dans le désert d’Agafay , balade en dromadaire, dîner avec spectacle etc ) en résumé un véritable professionnel.

Nice Riad in a good location. Easy to walk in and out the souk. Quiet area/neighborhood. Staff was very helpful, kind and patient. Very accommodating, helpful and always watching out for us - traveled with my daughter. Breakfast was nice esp on the roof terrace, and we loved our one dinner. We had a late flight back home and I had booked an extra night which was perfect so we just had a very early dinner before our flight.
Cons: I wouldn't stay in room nr 3 again - 2nd floor overlooking the pool - it smelled pretty bad from time to time and I know there's not much that can be done about it. We spent 5 nights in the RIad and it wasn't bad all times just not very pleasant espl when returning back to the room after a day out exploring. We walked by a few other open rooms who weren't occupied and they also looked a bit newer and brighter. However beds were comfy and air con worked!

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Ibrahim et son équipe qui sont tous très chaleureux et nous ont donné de bons conseils pour la visite de la ville. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et très bon. Le Riad est très beau, la terrasse et le jacuzzi sur le roof top sont très agréables, les chambres sont spacieuses, avec une décoration très raffinée. La piscine en marbre dans le patio est aussi appréciable (l’eau est fraîche !). Le Riad est situé dans la médina, dans une petite ruelle au calme, à 5’ des souks à pieds.

Cons: Gestion peu professionnelle : attente d une heure pour avoir accès a la chambre, confusion sur la facture des le début jusqu'à la fin, petit dej bon, mais servi très lentement et en retard (donc, on n a pas pu en profiter le 1er jour a cause d une excursion planifiee) En plus, chambre plus petite qu annoncée, clime presque pas fonctionnelle

Everything was beautiful, the location was perfect, but what made our stay special, memorable and amazing was the staff. Ibrahim was not only friendly and helpful, but truly made us feel like we were his own family visit visiting. We left feeling like we have a new Moroccan friend. The rest of the staff was also lovely, and the breakfast is not to be missed! We will be back again.

Our stay at this riad was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk from Ben Youssef Madrasa and within easy reach of the Medina, making it ideal for exploring the city on foot. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with traditional mint tea, which was a lovely touch after our journey. The riad itself feels like a peaceful oasis away from the heat and busy streets, with two beautiful swimming pools that guests can enjoy at any time. One of the most memorable parts of our stay was meeting Angello, the resident turtle, who sometimes joins guests during breakfast and adds a unique charm to the experience. A special thank you goes to Brahim, our host, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. He prepared delicious breakfasts every morning, and when we had an early start, he thoughtfully packed our breakfast to take away. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. We would highly recommend this riad to anyone visiting Marrakech and would happily stay here again.

The riad is in the medina so on first arrival I would definitely rely on someone from the riad greeting you at the taxi drop off point, which is 3-4 mins walk away. It is wonderful to step into such a calming and quiet home from the heat and dust of the streets. We were greeted with delicious mint tea and pastries. The staff are all outstanding - nothing was too much trouble. We were offered honest guidance on everything and Ibrahim took care of restaurant bookings and made sure we had a venue that showed the England game at dinner. The hammam on site was brilliant - be sure to have the full body massage which was the best I have ever had. Delicious and plentiful breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads and eggs, proper fresh OJ. I mentioned that I wanted to try fresh peach juice and Ibrahim actually surprised me later that morning and got one for me and would not accept payment for it. Really above and beyond on the customer service. You will not be disappointed staying here. Great value for money and delightful staff. I was travelling with teenagers who loved the rooftop dipping pool late at night and also the autonomy of how they were looked after in their own way, for example they were served breakfast when they wanted it and were not expected to eat with me (I am an early riser). Housekeeping also worth a mention - our rooms were freshened up each day with fresh towels and beds made up. Also big thanks to the night porter who made me hot tea late at night when he found me sitting on the rooftop. Thank you 🙏
Cons: It could be noisy with returning guests late at night but I would imagine that is true of any riad stay and is the nature of such properties.

Very beautiful place to stay. If you thought Moroccan vibes this is the place to stay. The staff, in particular Ibrahim was amazing. Nothing was too much. His Hospitality and English language was exceptional. The price was amazing. The food provided was unbelievably good, highly recommended. Not a bad location. Just far enough away for it to be a pleasant walk to all the main areas.
Cons: It was a little noisy at night. You could hear the managers phone ringing or him working at silly hours of the night. Also it is in the middle of a housing area that looks very run down, but I wouldn’t let that put you off. Once inside the Riad it’s another world.

The property was very clean and had a very nice traditional riad look which gave me a wonderful experience. The staff such as Ibrahim and Oumaima were very helpful and nice and they both provided expetional service which made me feel at home. The Hammam experience was also very good, and the hammam staff, Soukaina, ensured that she gave a good experience to the three of us.
Cons: The only problem was that the parking was an issue, but other than that it was very good no complaints.

Cons: La ubicacion del hotel hace necesario caminar unos 300 metros desde donde puede llegar el coche hasta la puerta. Pero no es un gran problema salvo que vayas cargando el equipaje

The aesthetic was gorgeous, facilities were great. Loved the breakfast and the service was amazing. In particular the manager Ibrahim was so helpful in giving great advice and helping us get organised. The whole staff was great to be honest.
Cons: The only thing that was a bit confusing at first was not being dropped off with taxi out front. We were left at a square. But we soon learned that it was because the roads were too small for cars. I can’t remember if this was stated on the venue listing but if it wasn’t, then it would be great to know for future.

Dal primo momento ci siamo sentiti accolti come in famiglia: lo staff è stato semplicemente meraviglioso, sempre gentile, sorridente e disponibile con ogni nostra esigenza. Il riad è bellissimo, curato, pulitissimo e con un’atmosfera autentica che ti fa vivere davvero la magia di Marrakech. Ogni rientro dopo una giornata in città era un piacere, quasi come tornare a casa. Abbiamo usufruito anche dei massaggi nella spa che sono stati eseguiti molto bene. Grazie di cuore per aver reso il nostro soggiorno così speciale. Se torneremo a Marrakech, non avremo dubbi: sceglieremo di nuovo voi!” P.s. nel bagno della nostra camera c'era anche il bidet

Super séjour de 4 jours au riad où le cadre et l'équipe sont fantastiques. Mention spéciale pour Brahim qui est exceptionnel par son accueil, sa gentillesse et son professionnalisme (qui vient même nous chercher si on se perd dans le souk). Nous avons rarement vu quelqu'un d'aussi serviable, toujours à l'écoute et bienveillant. Les repas sont dignes de la réputation de la cuisine marocaine : excellent ! On reviendra avec plaisir !

O Riad é surpreendente, quem vê de fora realmente não imagina o que está lá dentro. Fomos muito bem recebidos com o típico chá, uns bolinhos e água fresca (o que faz toda a diferença num dia de muito calor) O pequeno-almoço foi excelente, muita diversidade e tudo muito fresco. Voltaria novamente para usufruir das instalações e serviços 😀

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le Riad. D'abord, Khalid nous a réservés un accueil des plus chaleureux et a toujours été d'une grande gentillesse, politesse, armé de son sympathique sourire. Nous nous sommes rapidement sentis comme à la maison et les autres membres du personnel se sont montrés tout aussi attentionnés et agréables. Les petits-déjeuners sont très gourmands, copieux et faits maisons. Petit coup de coeur pour lequel nous nous réjouissions de nous lever le matin pour découvrir les nouvelles petites spécialités. Enfin, un massage gratuit de 30 minutes chacun a soulagé nos jambes endolories et été drôlement apprécié. Si nous devions revenir à Marrakech, il ne fait nul doute que nous reviendrons ici. wir wurden rundum hervorragend betreut und bewirtet, vom Flughafentransfer und Begleitung zum Hotel, über die kleine Tee-Zeremonie zum Empfang. Jeden Morgen gab es ein tolles Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse, für jeden Gast individuell frisch zubereitet von Karim mit einheimischen Spezialitäten und der super Zimmerservice. Das Spa und die Massagen haben wir nicht ausprobiert Das Riad liegt versteckt, etwas abseits der Hauptwege, ist dafür aber ruhig und man fühlt sich absolut sicher, auch wenn man abends zu Fuß unterwegs ist. Die Ziele in der Medina sind alle gut zu Fuß zu erreichen und man kommt so fast automatisch mal an allen Gassen des Souks vorbei..
Cons: Da die Türen alle in den Innenhof gehen und mit einem Riegel verschlossen werden, war es unmöglich ohne Geräusche ein- und auszugehen. Aber dafür passte es sehr gut zum Gesamtkonzept des Objektes.

The place is very nice! The member of staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. They welcome you with a nice hand wash and a lovely tea. What I liked the most is that member of staff went out of his way and late at night he has walked to pick us up, as we got lost in Medina and did not feel very safe walking on our own. There was no hesitation, we send our live location and the member of staff straight away came and picked us up. It was very nice to feel like they care about our safety and comfort!
Cons: There was no fridge in the room and no bin besides the little bin in the bathroom. As well, keep in mind that cars cannot drive in Medina, so you have to walk around 8-15 minutes from where the taxi drops you off. Google maps is misleading as it says that it would drive you right to the hotel.

C'est un lieu propice au repos et a la reverie. Le riad est idéalement situé. On peut se déplacer à pied très facilement. Tout le personnel est à l'écoute. Le petit déjeuner est sensationnel.

Le reste du personnel est aussi très chaleureux et accueillant. Beautiful, traditional riad, with everything you need and very close to all the activities around Marrakech. But our favorite thing about our stay was the staff - they really made it feel like a home away from home! From organizing transfers to serving a delicious breakfast every morning at whatever time you need! We had booked a tour and never got our confirmation from the tour company the night before like we were supposed to, and Ibrahim helped us get in touch with the tour company (very late at night I might add), and made sure everything was in order. He even offered to have someone walk us very early in the morning to our pickup spot. Could not have asked for a better stay in Marrakech, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

From the moment our Riad host Ibrahim met us, the customer service was just outstanding. We loved the Riad and probably would have loved it regardless, however, he made our whole trip special. He genuinely cares about the guests having a perfect stay. He couldn't do enough for us and wanted us to have an authentic experience. The Riad itself is situated down some winding alleys and we actually loved this but could understand it might not be to everyone's taste. Once inside it is so beautiful and serene and our room was lovely and well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast was so lovely and plentiful and the man who served us was also fantastic. The rooftop is also a great addition to the Riad and we managed a sunbathe and we even had breakfast up there one morning when the weather was lovely. We also loved meeting the tortoise Michael. He can move quick, be warned! There's nothing slow about that tortoise!. We also had a massage and this was also fabulous. We didn't use the steam room or Sauna or the Hamman but they are available should you wish to use them. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone here. We were literally a stone's throw away from the Souks and the Medina and we are so pleased we chose to stay here. I highly recommend it for a authentic and customer focused experience. I just want to shout a bit more about Ibrahim. He is an absolute credit to this Riad and to Marrakech. He also helped us book a private trip to the Agafay desert with quad bikes, dinner and a show. It was an end to end service. I would honestly say to stay here just to meet him and be pleased by his amazing customer focus. He is more than wonderful! thank you for making our trip so special.

We were so lucky during our stay that we got to meet so many wonderful people, it felt like a little Riad family. The people who work there, work so hard and with a constant smile on their face. We would recommend everyone to stay at this Riad. The absolute star of the Riad though, wasn't the great location, or the beautiful breakfast but the Manager Ibrahim. We have been lucky to visit quite a few countries and stay in a range of accommodations but we have never received the service that we did from Ibrahim. He truly cares about everyone who stays at the Riad. Nothing is too much for him, whatever he can do to enhance your holiday he will try. He was so attentive and strived to make our stay as good as it could be, nothing was too much trouble for him … I don’t know what he’s paid, but it’s not enough. The other staff were also great. The Riad was pretty, tucked away in the Medina and very close to the (crazy) maze that is the Souk. The breakfast was lovely and breakfast service was very good. Hats off to all the staff. We were in Room 7, which was comfortable. At first we thought the bed was hard, but it was actually very comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a nice relaxing space. Ideal when the weather is good. Sadly it wasn’t so great during our stay, but you can’t control that. The complimentary 30 minute massage was lovely.
Cons: I only have one ‘complaint’ and my other comments are just for awareness. My complaint is that the small ground floor pool and the rooftop jacuzzi are NOT heated and too cold to use. We were disappointed with this because prior to booking I looked at all the questions/answers and it stated they were heated during the winter and that was an influencing factor in booking this property … they are not heated at all. Probably not an issue when it gets hotter in the Summer, but definitely not useable during our stay. Due to the design of a Riad, there is a central open atrium which means it can be noisy. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear phones ringing on the ground floor and people talking. Room doors are bolts with padlocks that are also noisy. TBF it was reasonably quiet after 11pm so not a big problem, but you do hear everything that’s going on (including the calls to prayers at 5am). The rooftop jacuzzi is directly above Room 7 and when someone turns the jets on, it sounds like a jet plane taking off in the room. Clearly not too much of an issue in the colder months as no-one is going in an unheated jacuzzi, but something to be aware of. Our room heater didn’t work so we were cold a lot of the time. Ibrahim did his best to get an engineer out, but it wasn’t possible during our stay. The room windows open into the walkways so, for privacy, you need to keep your curtains closed when in the room.

Mooie riad waar we ons erg welkom voelden. Er is weinig personeel; Brahim en Khalid werken keihard om dat te compenseren. Ze beantwoorden al je vragen uitgebreid, bieden continu hulp aan en doen hun uiterste best om je te plezieren. Zij verdienen vijf sterren! Het Marokkaanse ontbijt (geen buffet maar geserveerd) is heerlijk. Net als de hamman en massage (we kregen een half uur massage cadeau). Authentieke Marokkaanse sfeer, gelegen midden in de Medina.
Cons: De bedden zijn harder dan een gemiddeld hotelbed. Uit de douche komt een sterke riool geur. Hier verblijven is niet voor iedereen. Lees je goed in voordat je besluit om te overnachten in een Riad, in de Medina. Dat is niet luxe (volgens Westerse standaarden), wel een avontuur. Een Riad is een oud gebouw, het is er enorm gehorig. Je hoort andere gasten, de telefoon van de receptie, deuren die open en dichtgaan, alles. De kamers liggen rond een binnenplaats met koudwaterbad (je kunt hier niet zwemmen). Daarboven is geen dak. Alle gezamenlijke ruimtes zijn dus in de buitenlucht en dat heeft effect op de temperatuur. In ons geval was dat behoorlijk fris (14 graden op 2 maart). Ik heb geen andere Riad bezocht, maar ik verwacht dat dit voor alle Riads geldt. We hebben een leuke tijd gehad in Riad SofYan. Dat kwam door de inzet van de lieve Brahim en Khalid. Heel veel dank voor deze ultieme gastvrijheid!

Nous avons passé un séjour magique. Les chambres étaient superbes, le riad est au calme et offre un décor idyllique. La gentillesse et l’accueil de Brahim et de toute son équipe ont rendu ce moment d’autant plus merveilleux. En bref, je ne peux que recommander cet établissement si vous visitez Marrakech, son emplacement est central dans la médina, ce qui est très pratique pour profiter pleinement de la ville. Had a really excellent stay for 2 nights! Ibrahim and the other stuff were fantastic and truly delivered. Ibrahim was very helpful, caring and informative about places to go in Marrakech. The riad was nice and clean and in a great location. It felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the busy streets of old city Marrakech. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. The rooftop is a beautiful area to relax in the sun, or to take a dip in the rooftop pool. I hope to visit again!

Wir haben nach Tipps gefragt, wo wir gute Datteln bekommen und er ist sofort los und hat uns welche geholt. Es wurde uns jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Wir hatten eine Massage inkl. Hammam und auch das war richtig gut und sehr entspannend. Die Lage ist der wahnsinn, weil man sofort im Geschehen ist. Das Frühstück war super lecker und auch die Marokkanischen Süßigkeiten die wir zwischendurch bekommen haben waren so gut. Die Zimmer waren schön und auch die Dachterasse ein Traum. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Vielen Dank an Ibrahim & Sein Team. Wir haben uns wie daheim gefühlt und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder

Typical modern Riad, nice tiles and decor, everything worked. Like nearly all riads noise can be a problem, but we were on the top floor so were not much affected. Staff more family than professional not really in a good way unfortunately. Location cannot be reached by car so you need to contact them to come and find you unless you're able to find your way through the cobbled medina with your bags! Two excellent restaurants (with wine) within easy walking distance!

We hebben ontzettend genoten! Transfer stond klaar op het vliegveld, communicatie met de manager (Brahim) ging vlekkeloos & daarnaast werden wij ontvangen met thee en lekkers! Brahim was 24/7 bereikbaar en was erg beschermend naar ons (2 vrouwen). Liep zelfs 's ochtends vroeg mee naar het pick-up point voor onze excursie. Wij voelden ons super veilig (in heel Marrakech - buurt is heel veilig). Daarnaast genoten van een heerlijke hammam behandeling en fantastische massage! Ook het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en werd iedere ochtend met liefde bereid! Riad is ontzettend schoon en de bedden zijn heerlijk! Eigenaar mag dankbaar zijn met het fantastische personeel in de Riad! :)

This riad is centrally located, close to the sights in the medina, but at a peaceful street, where you can rest after a busy day in Marakesh. The entire hotel and the room was clean and cosy decorated with furnitures and carpets in Moroccan style. The bed in the room was very comfortable. There is a rooftop of the riad where you can enjoy the sun and see the Atlas mountains in the distance. We were especially thankful for the helpful, friendly and smiley hotel staff. For Brahim, who helped us during our whole stay in everything and served delicious foods, tees and biscuits and for Soukaina who provided a very enjoyable massage and a hammam treatment. After the hammam, I felt like I was reborn. Thank you!

The hamam and massage at the spa were extremely professional and relaxing, breakfast was generous (I looked forward to it every morning) and they tidied our room every day which was a nice addition. It was a bit cold to enjoy the roof terrace when we went in january but the view is spectacular of the mountains Not a dislike but advice, If you do not have Internet connection or its your first time in marrakesh I recommend using the hotel pick up service from the airport as it can be difficult to find (especially at night). Ibrahim came to find us and take us to the hotel on foot :)

Cons: The hotel lies regarding private parking facilities: there is NO private parking! The hotel would send you the link to the nearest public parking where you would be robbed by locals who would pretend to be the parking staff that help you find the best place for your car, then they would claim cash for their services, and afterwards you would be asked for more cash by other staff that would also claim you should give them the keys of your car (with no contract or documents signed on their part at your own risk). The keys would be placed in a public place and be available to everyone entering the public parking.

This is a pleasant homely Raid close to the lively soul (market). However it is far enough away to be quiet and private. Very good substantial breakfast served inside or on the rooftop terrace, depending on the weather. As part of our package, my wife and I had included a relaxing half hour massage which was very pleasant. Above all, I would like to single out the Duty Manager Brahim. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He offered helpful advice, walked us to a restaurant when we were unsure of the way and always was super-helpful. Next time, we will stay in the same Riad.
Cons: All good. People should be conscious of personal safety. A pillion passenger on a motorbike attempted to stanch my wife's bag. But he didn't reckon on meeting a tough Irish lady, so he rode off empty handed...

Our stay at Riad SofYan was a blissful escape to the winter sun. The staff, in particular Ibrahim and Sokaina, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond for our every need. They were incredibly accommodating when we lost our room key, whenever we asked for any recommendations of things to do in the local area or booking transport. Their energy and enthusiasm made them feel less like staff and more like family. The breakfast and spa treatments included were a huge highlight, the breakfasts were so generous we only ended up buying one other meal each day! Would highly recommend this stay, as two female travellers.
Cons: It was a shame the pools weren’t heated, but imagine in warmer months this is a blessing!

Cons: La chambre de nos enfants pourrait être un peu mieux équipée en éclairage et était un peu froide mais c’est bien pour faire quelques remarques constructives et répondre à la question. Le quartier semble en pleine restructuration mais est très bien situé d’un point de vue pratique. Le charme du Ryad fait que tout est tourné vers l’intérieur. Le rooftop est vraiment sympathique avec une vue à 360.

Ibrahim was the star of the show. Nothing was to much for him. He arranged all our trips and taxis. Calib always has a smile and was a fantastic waiter. It was a peaceful place in a bustling and bubbling city. The area was quite and a little run down, but it was another world in the Riad. Somehow we felt safe even though in a strange place. Everyone was really nice, even the street traders knew when not to push too hard. My wife and I had a really special stay. Thank you

We had a wonderful stay. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. Thank you especially to Ibrahim, Youssef and Khaled. The Riad had a lovely roof terrace where we ate breakfast most days. The breakfasts had great coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, fruit, egg, breads, pancakes & cakes. Really good. The rooms were just the right size, clean and comfortable. They had air conditioning for when you were in the room, and large windows that you could leave open during the day when out. The Riad location was down the many winding narrow streets, that were surprisingly easy to memorise. However, I would recommend downloading maps of the city, in case you get lost, so you don't need to use data roaming. The Riad provided a cool, calm oasis for the craziness that is central Marrakesh. A special thank you to Ibrahim, who waited with us for our taxi to Essouira and kept in regular contact with our driver. He spoke about his life in Marrakesh in a very honest and open way, and it is a memory that stuck with me. Thank you. We loved our stay In Marrakesh. Overall - highly recommend.

Fantastic stay! Highlights were the rooftop and very tasty (and big!) breakfast each morning. Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much, from helping us to organise onward travel, advice on what to do and kindly walking us to/from the taxi - special menions to Ibrahim and also Soukaina for a wonderful and relaxing massage during our stay. Would recommend.

Der Service war außergewöhnlich gut! Vor allem Ibrahim hat mir in einer schwierigen Situation als meine Kreditkarten bei den Automaten nicht mehr funktioniert haben geholfen - tausend Dank nochmal! We arrived a bit before check in and we were still able to access our room. The courtyard and rooftop are nicely decorated and nice to spend time in.
Cons: The room had cockroaches when we returned on both evenings. The staff didn’t do anything to help, didn’t offer to move us to another room and said we probably brought them in our luggage. The bathroom smelled of drains and there was no way to block the shower drain to stop the smell. The room on the ground floor didn’t feel very private because the curtains didn’t completely cover the windows, and there’s a lot of noise from other guests coming in and out. The Riad is quite large, so the staff are very busy and not always available. The stay was fine, but not luxurious by any means.

Riad bien placé dans la Médina. L'accès est un peu complexe la première fois (petite ruelle) et déroutant car proche de maisons qui ont été détruites suite au tremblement de terre de 2023. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins : Brahim, Youssef et le reste du staff. Merci à eux ! Petit déjeuner excellent et différent chaque jour. Chambres calmes, spacieuses et rooftop très agréable. Un bon rapport qualité/prix pour vos vacances à Marrakech.

It is a nice Riad, very close to the souks, yet not directly in the middle of the noise. You can relax on the rooftop and listen to the birds chirping while you enjoy your amazing breakfast. The staff and the owners really make an effort to make you feel welcome and gladly accommodate all your wishes. Pools are compact and not heated, so water is a bit on the fresh side. The location is a bit in the side streets, but the road is well-lit and every corner has police cameras, so there is no problem with security and safely. Silence and calm is really a plus. It is a simple riad with a good value for money.

The hotel itself was beautiful. Very traditional and picturesque. Breakfast each morning was carefully prepared and aesthetically pleasing with various morrocan delights. We enjoyed our massage and hammam. Location is perfect for the medina and souk, bear in mind you cannot take a taxi directly to the hotel so you will need to walk around 5-10 mins from drop off (hotel staff helped with bags) Overall a very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it!
Cons: The room was nice but for us the mattress was quite firm.

Le petit déjeuner est un vrai bonheur et il est différent chaque jour, le dîner sur place est délicieux . Après une journée de visite et d’agitation on y trouve un repas calme et savoureux sur la terrasse . Le spa est un plus agréable . Le personnel aux petits soins tout au long de notre séjour en a fait un moment magique . Un immense merci à Khalid pour sa gentillesse et ses attentions, aux femmes de ménage pour leur gentillesse et leur discrétion, et pour finir des milliers de mercis à Brahim qui a fait de ce voyage de nos trois générations un moment exceptionnel grâce à sa gentillesse et sa rapidité d’organisation . Beautiful riad and rooms and a great roof terrace with pool to relax and cool off after wandering the souks. Ibrahim was very welcoming, even with our late arrival, and gave us a lovely calming mint tea after a delayed flight, he could not have done more for us during our stay. L’accoglienza è stata ottima, sia il ragazzo che ci ha accolto che il signore che fa il turno di notte e prepara le colazioni sono stati gentilissimi. Abbiamo usufruito del massaggio e ci è piaciuto, lo abbiamo fatto da un ora ed è stato rilassante. La posizione per noi andava bene, non abbiamo avuto problemi di nessun tipo. La struttura è carina e arredata in stile marocchino e pulita. Al mattino (le 5) si sente il richiamo per la preghiera (c’è una moschea vicino) e a noi questa cosa è piaciuta. Abbiamo letto qualche recensione negativa ma non mi sento di condividerle. Per noi la struttura va bene e il soggiorno è stato piacevole.
Cons: La mattina si sentiva qualche rumore essendo che le porte nei riad sono sottili. Ma nulla di problematico. La mattina presto nel bagno si può sentire un leggero odore ma credo sia così in tutta Marrakech quindi non è un problema.

Cons: Like most riads, it’s a bit hard to find and down a far road where cars can’t get to but I don’t think there’s any changing that with the way the city is designed. And it’s still close to all the major city sites so definitely worth it.

Et le massage un bonheur 30 minute gratuit elle ont des mains en or . Donc vous pouvez y aller le yeux fermé. This is truely a home away from home, it is very well maintained & the staff are amazing, from ibrahim who came out of the riad collected me from my taxi and carried all my luggage to hes vast local knowledge of the area. Youssef who made sure every morning I was relaxed and if I needed help to guide me through my day, the breakfast etc. Which was included was beautiful and high quality local foods to meet everyone's needs. Coffee, moroccan tea water all included! And was regulary offered to me and available with the cleanest of utensils. I cant speak higher of everyone here, and really enjoyed my staff they go above and beyond becuse thats just who they are as people young, friendly and bubbly. Looking for a place to chill, maybe work or privacy! Look no further. Thank you so much!

El hotel es un espectáculo y un remanso de paz. Quiero destacar a Ibrahim, Khalid y el otro chico que no recuerdo su nombre… son súper profesionales y serviciales hasta el punto que Ibrahim nos acompañó al taxi desde el hotel habiendo terminado su servicio y por si fuera poco al volver de cenar cerca de las 12:00 de la noche salió de su propia casa para encontrarnos en el punto donde nos dejaba el taxi y acompañarlos a pie hasta el Riad. Cons: C’était très calme, très propre, rien à dire sur la propreté, les autres voyageurs étaient très très amical. Il y a vraiment une ambiance chaleureuse et familiale. L’équipe était au top absolument rien à redire, parfait en passant des femmes de ménage aux cuisinières ou encore aux concierges. Mention spéciale Brahim, Youssef et Khalid qui étaient au TOP TOP 10/10 ils ont été très gentils, nous ont montré les lieux à faire sur une carte nous ont vraiment accompagné tout au long de notre voyage si vous recherchez une équipe professionnelle. Struttura di recente costruzione, tutto in stile marocchino. Come i classici riad, al centro di esso si trova una favolosa piscina che ti rinfresca dopo una giornata in giro. C’e anche una piscina sul tetto molto comoda. Abbiamo provato i massaggi e l’hammam, che consigliamo di fare all’interno del riad, ragazze top. Lo staff è sicuramente un punto di forza, tutti i ragazzi sono eccezionali e pronti ad aiutarti. Colazione non a buffet ma con prodotti local che variano di giorno in giorno. Letto comodo e bella selezione di biancheria e cuscini, ottimo anche il bidet in bagno..non scontato.

Staff were brilliant! Helping us with each and every request. Khalid, Ibrahim and Youssef did their utmost to fulfill our every request. Did not matter what we asked. Breakfast was authentic and different every day. Interior of room was authentic. Small cold pool inside the riad. Rooftop pool available too but was too hot to go there. Airco available and was very welcome in 45 degree heat! Massages and beauty treatments available and friendly staff to carry these out. A real treat!
Cons: Riad was situated in an area with many cul de sacs. Had expected to be dropped off at the door by taxi. The streets are too narrow for cars, so be aware a walk is necessary. Be vigilant of people wanting to help you (make sure you have internet/map to guide you). People are friendly and helpful if you are confident and alert. There was no restaurant or dining in the riad for lunch/dinner as advertised but that was maybe because it is low season? No pin/credit card machine available so you have to be prepared with cash. Cash machines are in the big square or by the souks.

Desde el primer día fue increíble, el Riad es súper bonito, tranquilo, y 100% recomendable para parejas y familia. El desayuno bastante completo. El personal muy muy amable y súper atentos a todo, en especial Youssef, un chico excepcional, nos solucionó todos los problemas y nos ayudó en todo. En general era mi primera vez en MARRUECOS y la verdad que gracias al Riad y la gente de ahí el viaje estuvo perfecto.

De Riad overtrof onze verwachtingen. De medewerkers zijn heel erg behulpzaam en staan klaar voor je waar dit nodig is. Alles is schoon en er vallen veel dingen te doen in de Riad. Massage, zwemmen, chillen op het dak etc.
Cons: De buurt is niet heel veilig. Ik raad je niet aan om tot laat buiten te blijven. De poorten van de Medina gaan rond een bepaalde tijd dicht waardoor het nogal verwarrend kan zijn om terug te komen bij de Riad omdat je dan een hele omweg moet lopen. Je kunt onderweg naar de riad dronken mensen tegenkomen die agressief kunnen worden.

If one wants to connect with history, the medina it is a great location. In the middle of huste and bustle, yet in the riad peace and quiet. Nice rooftop. Really helpful, kind personnel making you feel at home. Reda, special thanks to you, thank you for your hospitality. Breakfast is great. The man serving it is really good (unfortunately in the end have not got the chance to thank him). Maybe a bit more food (quantity-wise) would be nice.

The riad felt like home from the moment I walked in warm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the traditional breakfast each morning was delicious. I especially loved the massage; it was exceptional and truly relaxing.
Cons: At night, the small alleys leading to the riad can be a bit tricky to navigate because many shops close and the streets start to look very similar. I recommend arriving before it gets too dark, or calling the riad to have someone meet you at the main road and guide you in it makes the experience smoother and stress-free.

Exactement l’atmosphère recherchée. Riad au calme bien que proche des principales artères du souk (5mn). Une ambiance reposante, un personnel adorable (Youssef, Fatima, Khalid…), un riad très propre et surtout un ressenti « comme à la maison ». Les chambres pour deux sont modernes et très jolies, la piscine du patio très agréable par grosse chaleur, les repas et petit déjeuner très bien et je conseille le cours de cuisine un super moment ainsi que le massage qui était exceptionnel.
Cons: La chambre de trois était moins modernes et jolies que celle de deux, la terrasse de l’étage n’est pas plus aménagé que cela.

A charming little oasis within an exciting vibrant city! Staff were excellent, gentle, kind and helpful. Always on hand to help and nothing ever a problem. Yusaf, Reda and the rest of the team were so lovely, we genuinely could not have asked for more. The location of this riad suited us very much. It was safe, central, comfortable and quiet, with a real authentic feel.

Cons: We booked a room with treatments and breakfast included, but the host was unaware of this until I showed him the Booking.com app. We also arranged an airport transfer for 9:30, but it wasn’t there on time. They tried to convince us that it was our mistake. Fortunately, we didn’t miss the flight, but it was a close call. The location is controversial, as we were frequently stopped by locals on our way to the Riad, being told that “only Muslims can go this way” - and unfortunately, there is no alternative route to the hotel.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo riad ed è stato tutto semplicemente perfetto. Siamo arrivati tardi, alle 23, a causa di un ritardo del volo, e nonostante l’orario ci hanno servito con grande gentilezza le tajine che avevamo richiesto per cena — alle 23:30 erano pronte per noi! La stanza era pulitissima, comoda e curata in ogni dettaglio. La colazione in terrazza è stata abbondante, varia e davvero buonissima. Il riad è in una posizione centrale, ma allo stesso tempo tranquillissimo. Tutto il personale è stato sempre cortese e molto disponibile. Un soggiorno impeccabile sotto ogni punto di vista. Se dovessimo tornare a Marrakech, sicuramente sceglieremmo di tornare qui.

Il nous a proposé différentes activités et excursions qui ont parfaitement rythmé notre séjour, un vrai plus pour bien découvrir la région dès les premiers jours. L’ensemble de l’équipe a également été aux petits soins tout au long de notre séjour, toujours souriante et attentionnée. Good, hard working honest men who will tell you how much you should be really paying for things in the souks as a tourist. The property itself is so beautiful inside and peaceful and the breakfast served is SO GOOD - we ate like kings everyday!

Auch gab es Tee und Gebäck zwischendurch und dazu nette Gespräche mit den Mitarbeitern, insbesondere Youssef hat uns einen tollen Einblick in die marokkanische Kultur gegeben und man hat sofort das Gefühl gehabt, einen Freund gefunden zu haben :)

We loved the reception area and the welcome we received at the Riad. The property is super clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. The roof top gardens and little pool was great. We lived out complementary half an hour massage by the ladies with magic hands :) The location was perfect in the middle of Medina and about a 10 minute walk from the main square. Special thanks to Reda, Youseff, Fatima, soukeina, Saad & Khaled. You all made the stay so very special.
Cons: The beds were not comfortable. Also if you are driving, it was not made clear that the parking is not free and we paid 50 Dirham per DAY.

Al nostro arrivo in struttura siamo subito stati accolti con the e biscotti tradizionali del Marocco. Il check in é stato efficiente e il personale attento, la camera stupenda, colazione ottima e tipica con prodotti freschi e ottimi . Gli spazi comuni curati e puliti. Pur essendo metà Maggio abbiamo usufruito della seconda piscina sul terrazzo, dotata di lettini e asciugamani puliti pronti all’uso per i clienti. La sera la terrazza é molto carina e illuminata . L’ultimo giorno ci siamo rilassati con un bel massaggio e un Hammam e le signore della SPA sono state impeccabili e molto brave ! E per ultimo ma non per importanza: Khalid il portiere di notte !! Una persona splendida che ci ha sempre fatto sentire a nostro agio, é stato per tutto il soggiorno gentilissimo e disponibile !

We all enjoyed an excellent massage in-house and had a really fun cookery lesson. Big shout out to the new manager Youssef and all his team. Nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us.
Cons: The owner tried to increase the price of the airport taxi that was booked through them after the journey. Luckily I had proof of the price we'd agreed when it was booked 3 months earlier and the manager agreed to honour that price.

Das Riad SofYan liegt unglaublich versteckt inmitten eines abbruchreifen Viertels in der Nähe der Koranschule Medersa Ben Youssef. Das Riad ist sehr komfortabel und hat einen wunderbaren Dachgarten auf dem das Frühstück serviert wird. Auch gibt im Hotel ein kleines Hamam in dem man sich massieren lassen kann. Durch die Souks gelangt man in ca. 25 min auf den Djema el Fan. Mit Handy Navigation gut zu schaffen. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es zwei exzellente Roof Top Restaurants mit Alkoholausschank (Le Slimana und Le Trou Au Mur). Bitte bedenken, dass das Riad nicht direkt mit dem Taxi angefahren werden kann. Mind. 10 min Fußweg einplanen.

Had an amazing time. If you plan to stay in Marrakech don't go for a smart lifeless hotel. Stay in a Riad and SofYan would be a great choice. There is no car access, but was met by Naima at the drop off point, who showed us to the Riad. Having no car access was not a problem (I see it as a bonus) SofYan is 20 minutes walk from everything you need to see. Great location. The room was very comfortable, the roof terrace was a great place to have the amazing breakfast. Even managed to cool off in the pool. Naima and Malak were fantastic helping us sort out where to eat and dealing with communication for the various activities we did. The Massage was amazing and we also did the Hammam. Big thanks to Halima and Aicha. Biggest shout out goes to Khalid. He always greeted us with the biggest smile and despite the language barriers was so very helpful. Walking us, at very unsocial hours, to our various pick-up points. Thank you Mon Ami...

Cons: The location is disastrous — right next to fragile, partially demolished houses in a completely unsafe area. It feels dangerous at night, and the surrounding neighborhood is extremely rundown. The reception was handled by an inexperienced apprentice who acted arrogantly, even telling a guest, “You’re not going to teach me my job,” despite having to call the manager multiple times for help during check-in. His attitude was slow and disrespectful throughout. I truly regretted choosing this riad — I seriously considered canceling and moving to another place with a more professional approach.

Cons: Le Riad met en avant un parking privé sur sa page Booking. Il n’y aucun parking à moins de 15’ de marche et ils sont payants. Ils n’appartiennent aucunement au Riad. Le Riad n’est pas insonorisé et étant petit tous les moindres sons s’entendent. Entre les clients qui arrivent et qui partent les nuits sont courtes. De plus le coffre dans notre chambre était inutilisable encore un équipement qui n’existait pas! Nous avons attendu 4 jours un coffre où clé qui n’est jms arrivé.e. Et le sommet le premier soir la colonne de douche m’est tombé dessus, mon fiancé n’a pas pu se laver et moi je n’ai pas pu finir non plus. Après avoir signalé cet incident un technicien est venu le lendemain faire une réparation, le soir même le pommeau de douche a explosé ce qui a brûlé ma jambe, inondé la salle de bain et a risqué de m’électrocuter car les ampoules du plafond était sous un jet d’eau en continu. Mon mari a du se laver à l’évier. Et moi j’étais assez traumatisé. Le lendemain au bout du 3ème jour nous avons eu enfin une vraie réparation et moi fiancé à enfin pu se laver correctement. Aucun dédommagement ou verre offert. Au vu du prix je trouve cela vmt décevant. La seule lueur de d’espoir durant ces 4 jours ce fut le gardien de nuit très gentil avec nous.

Cons: De locatie is minder. De Riad ligt in de Medina, waar je ook niet met de auto/taxi kunt komen. Het is een donker stuk om in de avond te lopen, maar hebben ons eigenlijk geen moment onveilig gevoeld. Wel even een dingetje om de weg te zoeken, het zijn kleine smalle straatjes, maar allemaal goed gekomen.

What the website advertised and what the hotel offered were two VERY different scenarios. We arrived at the hotel and waited 25 minutes to be checked in, the employee just disappeared. When making arrangements to be picked up at the airport, they forgot to mention the taxi drops you off and it’s a 20 minute walk to the front door. They advertised breakfast from 4AM to 11AM, it was from 8-10 so we missed it most days due to excursions. The hotel was totally understaffed. I NEVER expect people to speak English but it was advertised on the website…..not really. The employees were nice but what was advertised on the website was just not there. Our bathroom literally smelled like raw sewage, we had to close the door, the room also smelled, it wasn’t fixed. The AC didn’t work, the room was dark, no chairs, we used our suitcases as bedside tables. No toiletries or soap, there was harsh shampoo and bubble bath but no tub! Had we not prepaid, we would have left. We paid close to $500/night, just a rip-off. To add insult to injury, in a country that you CANNOT DRINK THE TAP WATER, our “luxury” hotel CHARGED US FOR BOTTLES OF WATER but didn’t tell us that until we were checking out! We felt lied to and cheated about the quality of the hotel and what was to be offered. The next reservation I make on Expedia, I will do much more research and not take things at face value. Everything else about Marrakech was simply amazing, we will be back!

Mostly, the staff is amazing: Extremely kind and caring in a very genuine way. The riad is very well located, we stayed 5 days in Marrakech and walked the entire time to all our destinations. Very tasteful and comfortable accommodations. Breakfast is fab and we enjoyed it every morning on the terrasse while enjoying rooftop views of marrakech and going for a quick dip before starting the day!

Whether it was helping with directions, organizing transportation, or simply offering mint tea with a smile, they made every effort to ensure my stay was perfect. I especially appreciated how attentive and kind everyone was — they really made me feel at home. Breakfast on the rooftop was a dream: fresh orange juice, Moroccan pancakes, fruit, and local specialties, all served in the sunshine with views over the city. I also had the chance to try their hammam and spa — an absolute must after a day exploring the souks. The location is ideal: just a short walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa and other key sights, yet quiet enough at night for a restful sleep. I can’t recommend Riad SofYan enough. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, or a small group of friends, this place offers the perfect mix of comfort, authenticity, and hospitality.

Cons: De ligging is schrikken. De taxi kan niet voor de deur komen (wat in Marrakech niet gek is). Dus wordt je “opgehaald” door een personeelslid waar je vervolgens mee naar de Riad loopt (ca 8 minuten). Lopend naar de Riad denk je gaandeweg “waar ben ik terecht gekomen”. Je komt door straatjes die steeds smaller en stiller worden en langs, en dat is het ergste, langs ruines van huizen. In één woord, een negorij.

J'ai récemment séjourné dans ce Riad et tout était tout simplement parfait. Il est magnifique et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le personnel est adorable et attentif, ce qui a rendu mon séjour encore plus agréable. La vue depuis la terrasse au coucher de soleil est incroyable, un moment inoubliable à ne pas manquer. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et varié. Un grand merci à Naima et Safa pour leur gentillesse et à tout le personnel pour leur accueil chaleureux. We loved the mint tea on arrival, the free massage and the room was stunning. The facilities in the hotel were great, the roof top terrace was a great place to sunbath. There were lots of hidden seating areas, where you could have breakfast around the property. Naima on reception was very helpful, we WhatsApp her throughout our stay and she was incredibly responsive. All the staff were attentive at all times.

The hotel contacted me before my journey and asked whether I needed a taxi service from the airport when I arrived, which was very helpful actually! It will be difficult to find the Riad unless you have good internet data in Marrakesh. Otherwise, take a taxi to the post office by Bab El Khemis, and then call the hotel via WhatsApp to get directions or more than likely they will come and meet you. Once we arrived, Naima welcomed us with their traditional hand wash, rose oil to keep our hands lovely, tea, and some cute homemade sweets. We enjoyed the massage, very relaxing after the long journey. Another person Malik was very friendly through the stay, helped me to arrange the cooking course, unfortunately didn’t happen in the end, due to the bad weather. The location is amazing, close to the souk and nice Bank ATM. Short walk to the museum and Madrasa Ben Youssef. As for the breakfast, it is like a feast, we fed very well by the hotel :) They also have a nice terrace where you can chill on sunbeds, and there is a little pool, but it's still March, so we can’t do anything with it; it's a bit cold.
Cons: The only complaint is they need to descale their coffee machine or use lighter roast beans, my partner really doesn’t like the coffee.

I’d strongly advise arranging the airport transfer through them as they met us at the taxi as far as taxis can go and then walked with us a couple of minutes to the hotel. Also did the in-house spa Hamam service which was a great experience!

Das gesamte Riad und die Zimmer waren sauber und im Detail sehr hübsch dekoriert. Die Mitarbeiter war überaus freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Melek hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und sich um all unsere Belange gekümmert und organisiert was wir benötigten. Naima und Khalid waren ebenso sofort zur Stelle und halfen freundlichst und zuvorkommend weiter. Fatima begrüßte uns wie auch die Anderen mit einem Strahlen dass das heimkommen sofort heimelig machten. Hier an dieser Stelle auch nochmals vielen Dank dafür.

Der Weg dorthin hätte nicht vermuten lassen, was sich hinter der Tür in dieser kleinen Gasse befindet😍🥰 Melek, die super nette Dame der Rezeption, war immer zur Stelle und hilft bei allen fragen. Das gesamte Personal ist super nett und auch das Frühstück war super lecker. Die Zimmer sind so schön gemacht und super sauber. Wir können dieses Riad absolut weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder hier her kommen😊

La colazione era ottima, tipica marocchina per chi la gradisce o con elementi internazionali per chi è attaccato alle proprie abitudini, io solitamente la faccio salata e ho adorato il madmen con la marmellata di zucca. La posizione ottima, il taxi mi ha lasciato molto vicino e a due passi a piedi si è in centro. Il personale è molto cordiale ed è stato pronto ad aiutarmi, anche quando ho avuto qualche problema.
Cons: Non tanto del Riad ma più di Marrakech in generale, come in altre città storiche, non si riesce a girare in macchina quindi c’ è un po’ da camminare.

Cons: Unfortunately the Riad was extremely loud. We were put on the bottom floor and woken up my staff and other people throughout the evenings and early mornings. The area felt very unsafe for two female travellers, really in the middle of dark alleys etc. we were given a free massage which made my back in pain for the rest of the trip. As well as this, our room smelt like sewage and the shower was not completed to a high standard. This Riad was well over priced. The rooftop was also strewn with cushions and items that weren’t being used due to time of year. It really was very disappointing and we wouldn’t recommend this area or Riad.

The location was a bit shady in a rather dark alley but still in the Medina and not far (5-10 minutes) from the activities. The Riad itself was very nice and clean with a very good breakfast. The staff were wonderful and especially the Riad Manager Ahmed was 10/10, exceptionally helpful and friendly. He helped us with everything we needed, organised tours and even guided us shopping. The best service I have ever received in any hotel.

Vue sur la fiche d’arrivée que certains avaient droit à un massage gratuit au SPA d’autres non… De plus, après avoir demandé une recommandation sur un spa extérieur au responsable celui ci nous a emmené dans un spa attrape touriste ou le massage pour 2 personnes était à 2400 MAD soit presque 250 euros sans accès SPA / Hammam; un tarif x10 comparer aux autres enseignes… dégoûté pour ça.

Cons: Location was initially a little bit concerning - it’s down a relatively quiet alleyway in the northern part of the Medina, but actually it was not an issue at all, even when returning later in the evenings.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf bij Riad Sof Yan and Spa. Het was een fijne, mooie, rustige Riad met goeie bedden en een fijn dakterras met uitzicht over de stad. Het personeel was vriendelijk. Vooral Khalid was erg behulpzaam en gastvrij! Het dakterras heeft een jacuzzi, wat echt heerlijk is, maar wel koud in de winter (toen wij er waren). Ook hebben we geweldige massages en prive hammam treatment gehad, wat erg relaxt was. De locatie was ook helemaal goed. Nog geen 5min lopen van het prachtige Ben Youssef gebouw (aanrader om te bezoeken!) en in een rustig gedeelte van de stad. We hadden in sommige reviews gelezen dat mensen de locatie soms spannend vonden (wat ik de eerste avond kan begrijpen als je nog niet gewend bent aan de kleine steegjes in de medina), omdat het wat minder in het centrum ligt, maar wij (2 vrouwen) hebben ons totaal niet onveilig gevoeld en vonden het juist fijn dat de riad rustig was (geen enkel lawaai van de stad). Je loopt eigenlijk maar 2min echt door rustige steegjes waar niemand is, maar je bent binnen 5min in het centrum. Ik zou een verblijf hier zeker aanraden! Tip: boek vooral ook een dagtripje naar Ourika en ga met de quad naar de Agafay woestijn voor een verblijf in een van de prachtige desert camps.
Cons: Helaas waren de ligbedden om in de zon te liggen er niet, maar die kwamen volgens het personeel binnenkort weer. De riad was wel vrij gehorig, maar dat is eigenlijk altijd zo met deze riad bouwstijl.

Nous avons passé plusieurs nuits dans ce joli riad. Tout était parfait. Malak, Ahmed et Khalid ont été accueillants et chaleureux. Le petit déjeuner est soigné et très varié, bravo. Le fait d'être dans la médina est un plus. Merci pour tout. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Isabelle

La struttura è bellissima, il personale sopratutto Malek è stata fantastica ma anche Ali e il guardiano notturno. Sono tutti fantastici
Cons: L unica pecca è che dai bagni arriva un cattivo odore. La notte dovevamo tenere chiusa la porta, immagino sia dovuto alle fogne.

Nous avons passé un court séjour de 5 nuits dans Le Riad, tout était parfait… nous avons été accueilli comme il se doit à notre arrivée avec le thé Marocain.. le personnel est au petit soin avec les client, très professionnel, l’endroit est très calme et bien décoré, propre et soigné… les femmes de chambres ,dont la très gentille Fatima ,font un travail extra… tout est toujours étincelant… merci à l’équipe entière et particulièrement à Malak de nous avoir reçu et nous avoir fait sentir comme à la maison 😇 toujours disponible et réactive pour vous aiguiller ou donner une indication touristique…. On reviendra avec joie

Beautiful riad with nice spacious rooms, good hot shower and nice interior. Every day a delicious varied breakfast on the rooftop, time flexible. Staff very friendly and involved, very helpful with arranging taxis and reservations for restaurants. Shops around the corner for snacks. Wonderful massage + hammam options. Riad also very centrally located, many good restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. No unsafe feeling on the street. Special thanks to Melek and Khalid, they made our stay really special.

Cons: Slightest noise travels everywhere and was woken every morning. Lighting in the room was terrible. The Riad doesn't now serve alcohol. No big deal but it's still advertising as doing so.

Cons: Januárban voltam a barátaimmal nagyon hideg volt az egész hotelben. Szobánkban a klíma nem jó helyen volt felszerelve, így kevésbe fűtött. Összesen öten voltunk az egész hotelban és hiába kértem, nem cseréltek szobát.Recepciós hölgy (Meleg a neve) nem volt valami kedves, össze vesztem vele ez miatt vele. Nem ajánlom ezt a szállodát senkinek. Megközelítés szempontjából is nehéz,taxi nem tud bemenni,mivel olyan az elhelyezkedése. Cipelni kell a csomagokat a szállásig.

Riad di recente costruzione gestito da personale giovane educato e cordiale. Malek ha esaudito qualsiasi nostra richiesta. I punti di forza della struttura sono le camere molto spaziose, la SPA interna molto curata e funzionale, la colazione fatta con prodotti tipici.
Cons: Per i transfer bisogna fare un po’ di strada a piedi in quanto le autovetture non possono entrare nella zona dove è ubicata la struttura.

The staff were all so welcoming, kind and helpful especially Adil and Ahlam. I was welcomed with mint tea and biscuits which was very appreciated! The room was cool, peaceful, spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The rooftop is a fantastic place to relax and get away from the midday heat too. Amazing breakfast too, the cake was incredible.
Cons: Nothing! I would say get an offline map though so you easily find your way through the streets without data.

La colazione era davvero squisita e varia: cappuccino, caffè e the. Uno yogurt delizioso, macedonia, dolci e salato, uova strapazzate, pane locale, semi vari, burro e marmellate homemade. Da desiderare di alzarsi. Noi l'abbiamo consumata in un locale all'interno di una vetrata, arredato con estremo gusto, con la vista di una piccola piscina turchese e piante e lanterne verdi che scendono dall'alto. Un sogno. La posizione è comoda: il riad si trova in un dedalo di stradine rosa a poche centinaia di metri dall'inizio della medina, ma è assolutamente tranquillo e rilassante. E' molto sorprendente che dietro ad un portone di legno si apra un ambiente così armonioso in termini di colori, arredi, mosaici, lanterne, tappeti, in un mix di stili estremamente gradevole e raffinato (anche con alcuni pezzi di design come le sedie di Vitra, altri di fine artigianato locale, il letto a baldacchino contemporaneo, un tessile di grande qualità). La stanza a noi assegnata è stata ampia e di grande gusto, calda e confortevole. La sera di Capodanno abbiamo festeggiato a lume di candela sulla terrazza (un'altra chicca con una piccola piscina idromassaggio con l'acqua turchese e sul bordo vasi smaltati in verde), con una cena deliziosa e semplice preparata dalla cucina e abbiamo brindato con il the alla menta. Indimenticabile. Un commento particolare merita Monia, la proprietaria, che parla perfettamente l'italiano ed è stata disponibilissima per ogni necessità (ci ha accompagnati all'Hammam, ci ha segnalato un ristorante fantastico, un luogo dove acquistare prodotti di qualità, fornito il driver, offerto un massaggio) e, soprattutto, ha organizzato in maniera spontanea un "buon compleanno" per mio marito con un mazzo di splendide rose e un dolce al cioccolato per noi che abbiamo diviso con gli altri ospiti. Davvero una splendida persona, aperta e sinceramente gentile.
Cons: Sinceramente non trovo nulla di migliorabile. E' davvero tutto perfetto.

The staff were all amazing and couldn't do enough for us - from providing water and tea to researching activities, walking us to dinner so we didn't get lost and making reservations at other restaurants. Breakfast was great, bit heavy on the carbs but that is what they eat here, so can't fault it, lots of beautiful things to taste. We felt very looked after and the rooms were all clean. Roof terrace lovely, they even gave us blankets to wear as it was chilly. Prepared a lovely meal for us. Cleaners very thorough, and the Hamman ladies were wonderful, definately have a massage with them.
Cons: Our bed was a little hard and creaky when my partner moved, so we didn't sleep all that well. Also the design of the Riad meant that noise of doors and locks travelled, but this is to be expected in this type of building.

Nous avons aimé le Riad, qui est très beau et la terrasse est très agréable. Nous n’avons pas pu essayer le jacuzzi extérieur mais on ne doute pas qu’il soit également très agréable avec les beaux jours. Le hammam était très bien, et la chambre spacieuse et confortable, décorée avec soin. Mention spéciale pour le petit-déjeuner (qui est vraiment excellent et généreux) et la très grande gentillesse du personnel, qui est très professionnel.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso al Riad Sofyan in Marocco. La struttura è accogliente e ben curata, l’atmosfera è calda e rilassante. Il personale si è dimostrato estremamente gentile e disponibile, pronto ad aiutarci in ogni momento, anche nell’organizzazione della nostra vacanza, facendoci sentire come a casa. La cucina è stata deliziosa, con piatti tipici marocchini preparati con cura e sapore. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche il tè e le tradizioni locali, che ci sono state offerte in ogni momento. L’hammam presente all’interno del Riad è stata un’esperienza davvero piacevole e rigenerante. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e lo consigliamo vivamente a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza autentica e rilassante in Marocco.

Très bien situé à 15 min à pied de la grande place. La literie est super confortable. Petit déjeuner copieux et les 30 min de massage inclus font très plaisir. Le personnel est adorable toujours à l écoute c'est très appréciable !
Cons: Pas d'insonorisation. On entend les autres clients dans le couloirs. Ne pas y aller si vous recherchez du calme mais pour 1 nuit de passage c'est parfait

Very friendly staff always smiling and could not do enough for us even walked with us to get taxi . Lovely breakfast. Lovely rooftop garden were we lay and read in December sunshine . I also had spa Hamman and massage which was lovely.
Cons: We stayed in a twin room which was a little cramped but comfortable beds and pillows.

Cons: Due to the kind of property it is natural that the noise isolation is not the greatest, you cannot have beautiful door frames and windows and at the same time absolute silence. But the other guests were kind and they were not very noisy.

La cosa che abbiamo preferito della struttura è sicuramente la gentilezza del personale che ci lavora! Davvero gentilissimo e là chat whatsapp a disposizione è davvero molto utile per la comunicazione. Colazione con ottimi prodotti tipici locali molto buoni. Si vede che c’é attenzione al dettaglio. Bravi! Sopratutto i due ragazzi staff.

Cons: AVOID THIS HOTEL!!! IT'S LOCATED IN A VERY DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE AREA OF MARRAKESH!!! Firstly I want to state that I travelled in more than 90 Countries around the World, in very poor ones too. It was my third time in Morocco, first in Marrakesh. The Riad SofYan is located in a very Dangerous and unsafe zone of Marrakesh (even during the daytime) outside the typical tourist zone. To get there, as no taxi can't arrive directly to the hotel's door, I had to walk 8 minutes and got lost few times, Google Map doesn't work properly in those narrow street. Once off from the taxi I was immediatly surrounded by few dangerous young guys, it was 2 pm... I don't even want to guess the situation in that area during nightime.. Same thing happened to many others guests before me, but unfortunately I didn't have the chance to read all reviews properly before my booking.. Immediatly at reception, without doing any check-in, I decided NOT to stay in this Riad. So I had to book a room in another hotel, in a different area of the city. The managers at Riad SofYan assured me the full refund would have be made but then, with big surprise from me, I discovered that the owner charged me the full amount of the stay, meaning 610 Euro for 3 nights.., without any possibility of further communication. They can say/write whatever they want, but the hotel is located in a very UNSAFE and DANGEROUS area of Marrakesh!!! AVOID THIS HOTEL, unless you like to take risk during your holidays... They will never refund you!!!!

Accueil très chaleureux ( car pluie diluvienne à notre arrivée et Yassine est venu nous chercher avec un parapluie dans les ruelles exigues), le reste du personnel reste très à l'écoute et nous gardons un très très bon souvenir de notre passage.
