The food was excellent. We had a fabulous breakfast each morning and the dinners were tasty. They took care to look after my friend with her food allergy. The staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Special credit to Pasha, the manager and Moustafa, our waiter. Both could not have been more helpful.
Cons: The full amount of the stay was taken from my credit card 3 weeks after booking. The contract said it would be taken at the hotel. I paid the full price 6 months before going and i could not get any help from Booking.com to get my money back.

We couldn’t rate our stay at Riad Ekla highly enough! The riad itself is SO beautiful and so tranquil, we really enjoyed escaping back here after exploring the craziness of the medina. The pool area in particular is gorgeous and truly lovely to just sit and relax by. Our room was very nice, we slept comfortably and had everything we needed. The rose petals upon check-in were a lovely touch! The riad is in a great location that is easy to find, we never felt unsafe walking back. Lots of nice shops and restaurants very nearby too! I think the true cherry on top that really elevated our stay at Riad Ekla was the team of incredible staff. A huge thank you to the manager Fakharradine, the Moustaphas (particularly Breakfast Moustapha and Receptionist Moustapha) and the rest of the wider team. Every member of staff we met was so friendly and polite. Thank you for making restaurant reservations for us, booking our excursions and your wonderful hospitality.

El desayuno genial, la atención de los trabajadores estupenda. Nos atendieron con té y pastas, y el último día nos guardaron las maletas para que pudiéramos hacer turismo antes de ir al aeropuerto.
Cons: Nuestra habitación solo tenía una ventana en el baño, que además cuando te duchas, pueden verte desde fuera por las sombras. Un poco incómodo. La de nuestros amigos por lo contrario tenía muchas ventanas al lado de la cama, hasta el suelo, y también se les podía ver.

All of the staff were so joyful and happy to help make our visit memorable. Mustafa was such a welcoming host and his recommendations of a walking tour was spot on. While the streets nearby are busy with motorbikes, you cannot hear the street noise from the Riad, it was such a peaceful and tranquil stay!

The staff at the riad were very professional and incredibly friendly, they introduced us to a lot of useful information. The room was comfortable and very clean, and it was clear that the bedsheets were freshly changed for each guest! The location was also great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience - we stayed at three different riads in Marrakech, and this one was definitely the best!

Really lovely traditional riad central within the medina, close to the souks and other cultural sites. Mustafa (the receptionist) was an excellent host from the moment we met him and truly elevated our experience in morocco. We had a little trouble locating parking at first, but he quickly met us late at night to assist us in making our way through the medina, even offering us a lift on his moped back to the riad. He gave us helpful tips on what we should do to make the most of our time in marrakech, and helped to book us a lovely evening in the agafay desert. The facilities were excellent - the room was well sized and clean, and we enjoyed spending time on the roof terrace for the included breakfast and midday sunbathing.

The riad has everything you need, the staff is super super welcoming and friendly and not to mention the incredible breakfast included every morning! If I come back to Marrakech it’ll definitely be here. They are constantly checking up you have everything and that you feel comfortable. Mostapha and the rest of the team were incredible and made our experience super cool! 10/10!!!
Cons: I liked everything, but if I have to mention something, just bear in mind it’s not inside the souks so you need to walk a bit. For us it was not a problem since we wanted to walk around the city and preferred that actually.

Dopo una notte nel deserto, siamo tornati ad Riad Ekla per l’ultima notte in Marocco prima del ritorno a casa. Siamo stati accolti molto bene, ci hanno dato la stessa camera e abbiamo trovato un bellissimo letto (allego foto). Il personale è stato sempre molto gentile e disponibile, ci ha organizzato il transfert per andare in aeroporto e ci ha fornito aiuto per diverse cose. Soggiorneremo sicuramente in questa struttura se dovessimo tornare a Marrakech!

Abbiamo soggiornato al Riad Ekla e l’esperienza è stata davvero splendida. Il riad è molto bello e suggestivo, curato nei dettagli e perfetto per vivere appieno l’atmosfera di Marrakech. Tutto il personale è sempre stato estremamente gentile e super ospitale: ci siamo sentiti accolti e coccolati in ogni momento. Un ringraziamento particolare va a Mustafa, che ci ha assistiti fin da prima dell’arrivo fino all’ultimo giorno, sempre con disponibilità e attenzione. La colazione è stata fantastica, ricca e varia, e abbiamo avuto anche modo di assaggiare il pranzo: davvero ottimo! Anche la posizione è molto comoda: con una passeggiata di circa 20 minuti si raggiungono facilmente tutti i punti più turistici della medina. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un soggiorno autentico e confortevole a Marrakech.

Ci siamo trovati bene fin da subito in quanto ci hanno aiutato in diversi aspetti come il transfert e altri servizi. La colazione è ottima e molto abbondante, servita sulla terrazza, che ha anche delle sdraio per rilassarsi dopo una giornata di visita. Al ritorno dalla nostra gita a Essaouira per comodità abbiamo cenato nel riad, anche questo pasto ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. La camera è completa, spaziosa e dotata di aria condizionata. In generale tutto molto bello e apprezzato!

Cons: La pulizia lasciava un po a desiderare. La cena e la colazione buone, non ho apprezzato che a colazione portassero di tutto senza chiederci cosa volessimo mangiare e abbiamo sprecato un sacco di cibo che non volevamo. Inoltre il riad fornisce bottiglie d’acqua ma non specifica che sono a pagamento, ne quanto costano. NON PRENDETE L’ACQUA IN RIAD, costa un botto e fuori la trovate a meno della metà.

Las habitaciones tienen todas aire acondicionado, el agua salía perfectamente de la ducha que había leído que algún huésped tuvo algún problema con eso. El WiFi de maravilla. La pequeña piscina es un desahogo en los días de agosto tan calurosos.
Cons: Me gustó todo, quizá me habría gustado que estuviera más cerca de la plaza. Tardábamos 20 minutos que por otro lado también agradecimos para movernos un poco más, si no casi todo queda muy cerca. Y la zona es totalmente segura incluso de noche.

It was our first time staying in Marrakech, and wow—what a pleasant surprise! This was all thanks to Ilyas and the crew at Ekla Boutique Hotel, located in the heart of the old city (Medina). The riad itself is centrally situated, within walking distance of all the major attractions such as the souks and many historical landmarks and buildings. Our room was spacious, very well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was sufficiently varied, and the other amenities of the riad—such as the pool and the on-site restaurant—added great value to our stay. Ilyas and his team truly went above and beyond throughout our visit. Nothing was ever too much for them, and thanks to their deep knowledge of the city, we received countless local tips and tricks that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in Moroccan culture. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Morocco. Thank you, Ilyas and Ekla Boutique Hotel!

The location is terrific. Inside the Medina it is at a walking distance from almost all of the attractions and from some excellent restaurants. The staff is excellent. Munir, Walid, and all the rest are very kind and smart. They would try their best to make your stay comfortable.
Cons: The facility has been frankly over-hyped. The rooms are small with not even the minimum facilities like a television, a safe or a even kettle. While the price is comparable to a standard hotel, the facilities are not. That doesn't mean that the rooms are bad. There is a distinct budget hotel feel. in my view the Riad is overpriced. .

Zentral in der Medina gelegen und dennoch sehr ruhig, da in einem Seitensträsschen. Sehr freundliches Personal und wirklich leckeres Frühstück. Kleiner Pool, der aber absolut ausreichend ist, um sich am Abend kurz zu erfrischen. Es ist praktisch alles zu Fuss erreichbar.
Cons: Anreise war etwas kompliziert, weil uns der Taxifahrer scammen wollte. Egal, was der Taxifahrer sagt: man kann bis 30m zum Riad fahren und das Riad ist auf Google Maps korrekt eingezeichnet.

Mustafa, the owner was more interested selling his tour packages than helping us settle. The taxi driver did speak to him that we were coming and ask him to come outside the main road as the transfer from airport to hotel could not be reached by car but he out buying some grapes for himself. The adjacent empty block and back are full of rubbish. Not sure who discarded the rubbish but full of it. Other staff are nice and helpful.

Le Riad est idéalement situé et facilement accessible dans la médina. Le décor est très beau et reposant et la petite piscine est très appréciable. La chambre est climatisée et agréable. Tout le personnel est extrêmement agréable et attentionné, ce qui fut vraiment très appréciable, merci infiniment à eux ! Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et très bon !
Cons: Un petit frigo dans la chambre serait le bienvenu avant de pouvoir mettre les bouteilles d’eau au frais.

I liked the courtyard area of the Riad, but it also felt more like a hotel than a Riad. The rooms were quite spacious and well-decorated.
Cons: The pool area wasn't that nice. The rooms smelt musty when we entered and the Riad itself smelt quite strongly of an unsettling odour. Some of the staff weren't very helpful, and the Riad was not private at all. The window in the room didn't even close properly. The location was NOT good. It was definitely not worth the price point, it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at throughout our trip and didn't meet any expectations.

Nous avons passé trois nuits dans ce riad et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle. L’accueil et l’ambiance sont chaleureux grâce à une équipe formidable. Un grand merci à Ilyas, le gérant, pour son professionnalisme et son écoute attentive envers chaque client. Merci également à Moustapha et Hamza, toujours si gentils et sympathiques. Location is not safe, its not in main street, its in narrow street on the corner, we had unpleasant situation, 2-3 guys was following us trying to “show the road” then they ask money for that - it was not safe, we are two women in narrow empty street trying to find hotel, when we said we don’t need they help, guys called us stupid.
Cons: Room is small, bedsheet was not uncomfortable. They served very poor breakfast, coffee bad quality. Riad make the price on booking very hight, then offer -60/70% discount to make it very attractive, but in fact even this amount of money that we paid is very high for this quality. Everybody is trying to sell you offers with price X3,X5 - spa, taxi, market. Marrakech is very unsafe, dirty, poor quality city, especially Medina and old city. We also had surprise at check out, that we have to pay for water they serve, that was priced 5 time higher than in shop. Before serving us water, of course nobody told us that they sell it.

Útulný Riad na okraji Mediny. Velmi ochotný a sympatický personál nám ukázal na mapě všechny důležité památky a byl velice nápomocen s porouchanou klimatizací. Čistý udržovaný bazén nás příjemně osvěžil. Snídaně byla bohatá a chutná. Můžeme maximálně doporučit.

Niestety bardzo mało można powiedzieć pozytywnego. Jedynym pozytywem, to przyjazna, pomocna obsługa. Sympatyczne, młode chłopaki.
Cons: Zacznijmy po kolei. Lokalizacja w bocznej uliczce, a więc spokojnie ale w okolicy warsztatów naprawiających skutery i dojście do atrakcji medyny przez uliczki pełne spalin i gnających na oślep arabów na motorowerach. Po kilkunastu różnych riadach, mogę powiedzieć wprost, lokalizacja bardzo słaba. Sam riad. Budynek nowy. Stylizowany na klasyczne rozwiązania. Efekt co najwyżej mierny jeśli niedostateczny. Pokoiki maleńkie, źle ulokowana klimatyzacja w tak małej przestrzeni oznacza, że odmrażasz sobie połowę ciała zanim schłodzisz pokój. Łazienka za mała, nie funkcjonalna, brzydka, generalnie porażka. Podsumowując. Najniższym kosztem postawiony riad, starający się wyglądać tak jak klasyczne obiekty. Zdjęcia wykonane świetnie ale rzeczywistość jest odmienna. Taras na dachu, to przestrzeń gorąca jak piekarnik z bardzo brzydkim widokiem, materace na leżakach czarne jakby zbutwiałe. Basenik maleńki, a rano sprzątaczki myjąc podłogi całą brudną wodę którą zbierają spychają do tego baseniku, co nie zachęca do schłodzenia się w nim, mając świadomość jak wiele chloru muszą tam wrzucać. Generalnie ciasno, tandetnie i wszystko słabej jakości. Obiekt maksymalnie wart za noc 35-40 euro. W medinie w Marakeszu znajdziesz też klasyczne riady takie jak Fez. Nie musisz się decydiwać na ten, choć należy podkreślić, że chłopacy tam pracujący starają się być nad wyraz przyjaźni i pomocni nadrabiając wszystkie mankamenty obiektu. Jeśli chodzi o śniadania to jedne z najgorszych z mojej prawie miesięcznej wyprawy po Maroko. Nie katuj się i nie wybieraj tego miejsca.

Schitterende riad met een mooie uitstraling. Het personeel was elke keer weer vriendelijk, zelfs als het bloedheet was. De airconditioning op de kamer werkte ook echt heel erg goed! Het ontbijt was mega uitgebreid, vaak voor ons gewoon al te veel om op te krijgen, maar wel echt super lekker. Via het hotel kan je ook een chauffeur regelen (natuurlijk niet gratis). Zo zijn wij een keer naar zwembad gegaan buiten de stad. Door het regelen van de chauffeur gaf het ons een fijner gevoel om niet met algemene taxi’s te onderhandelen. Dit vonden wij ook heel erg fijn.
Cons: Het jammere is, is dat het allemaal vrij gehorig is. Wij hadden een kamer op de begane grond. Als andere gasten bij het zwembad nog aan het kletsen waren, kon je veel mee luisteren. Ook ging er een gebed af van ergens dichtbij. Dit hoort natuurlijk in hun land, maar bijna elke nacht om 04:40 uur was toch echt iets minder prettig. De locatie van de riad lag, voor ons gevoel, wat meer in het armere gebied van de stad. Erg druk, heel erg veel verkeer en erg vies op straat.

L’architettura ed i colori del Riad, la terrazza ed il patio all’entrata veramente belli! Un’oasi di tranquillità dove rilassarsi dopo una giornata nel caos di Marrakech. Ambienti sempre profumati con tanto di uccellini che cinguettano. La colazione sempre abbondante in terrazza, ma che forse andrebbe variata un po’. Stanza pulita tutti i giorni.

Solo da variare di più la colazione 🙃 All’arrivo si ha una bottiglia di acqua in stanza di “ benvenuto” ma negli altri giorni solo se richiesta te la fanno pagare, potrebbe essere inclusa come in molti altri paesi dove il caldo la fa da padrone 😉 Da verificare la pressione dell’acqua della doccia, noi l’abbiamo fatta sempre la sera, e sia la pressione che l’acqua calda erano sufficienti per una persona, l’altra ne aveva davvero poca e dal getto debole e semifredda.

Do not book more than what you are willing to pay for on your credit card. I "reserved" 3 rooms for myself and 2 colleagues on Hotels.com with the "reserve now, pay later" feature, to "pay upon arrival". Upon arrival, I was told all 3 rooms were charged to my card and the bill could not be split. I explained that that was not what I booked, but I was told bills are not split in Africa. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company, and for the 4 days we were there, I was repeatedly put off, lied to and felt as though I were being strong armed into paying for not only all rooms, but all charges made to the rooms of my colleagues as well on my card. They were also charging 3 different rates despite my having booked 3 rooms at the same rate, and again said, that's just how things are done in Africa. I cited that it was called fraud. My colleagues wanted their cards charged, but were told to just pay me. For 4 days, I fought with them, which overshadowed my entire trip, as I could not use the card due to the fraud report, and was not comfortable being there. Upon leaving, at 6 am on the last day, they accepted my colleagues' payments. But for 4 days, I received pushback. This is not service. There is no shortage of options for a Riad all over town, which I hope have better service and do not try to normalize fraud.

Interiorul curtii este intr-adevar frumos si personalul amabil!

Lage: gut, aber eher weiter weg von der typisch touristischen Gegend in der Altstadt, so konnte man auch das echte Leben sehen. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück wurde fertig serviert, kein Buffet. Eher einfach aber gut. Wer ein ausgefallenes Frühstück erwartet mit viel Auswahl und Hotel-typisch wird enttäuscht. Für uns hat es wunderbar ausgereicht.
Cons: Leider mussten wir ein paar Dinge in Kauf nehmen, die man nicht mehr gewöhnt war- Warmes Wasser zum Duschen, nur Abends da das Wasser mit Soloarenergie erwärmt wird. Auch muss man damit rechnen, dass das Wasser komplett ausfällt oder auch einmal ein Stromausfall auftritt (hatten wir alles). Humor hilft ;-) Und leider sind die deutschen Sauberkeitsstandards nicht gleich wie die marrokanischen. Okay aber nicht "vom Boden-essbar".

Cons: La stanza: molto piccola con un forte odore di umido e con un bagno molto vecchio. Doccia che perde, doccino rotto, incrostazioni ovunque. Assolutamente non come descritta su booking. Riad piccolo anche se dalle foto sembra enorme. (bravo il fotografo). Non c'è una piscina ma una piccolissima vasca. L'aver prelevato subito l'intero importo dalla carta di credito quando su booking diceva pagamento in struttura e la camera era con l'opzione cancellabile fino all'ultimo.

We read a few comments about the Riad and the staff and this made us feel more confortable. It is all true: staff are really helpfull. The food was good. Love the bread they served on a daily basis, for breakfast and dinner. We woke up very estou in the morning due to the prayers, which is something fully understandable. For those who are light sleepers, please take ear plugs and this Will help. All the transfers were confortable and Nice. Once you get aquainted with the location and how to walk around inside de Medina, ir gets easier for sure. The mint tea and the smell of Orange blossom were amazing. Ahh, and the cats too! So sweet and friendly. If you have a chance, go to gueliz and have dinner at La Pallette and try the tiramisu with amlou! Amazing There is plenty to see in Marraquexe. Dont rush Plan before and book some places before Thank you guys for everything

Voglio veramente ringraziare tutto lo staff sono una grande famiglia, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa e accolto con estrema professionalità sempre con il sorriso e disponibili in ogni momento della giorno e della notte. Lovely Riad in a central location, well positioned to explore Marrakech. The hotel is very clean (rooms cleaned and towels changed daily), the staff kind and the breakfast on the rooftop was really nice. The orange blossom smell in the riad is amazing. Lovely stay overall.

First time in Marrakech and loved it. Fab riad with excellent staff who went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We welcomed with mint tea and pastries. They took the time to talk through the highlights of Marrakech to help us get our bearings. We had dinner on the first night, be ready for generous portions! The breakfast was great every morning. The road had a lovely rooftop terrace. The courtyard and plunge pool was beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean. In terms of location you are a short walk from the centre of the souks and to the YSL gardens.

The courtyard is very pretty and the staff really kind. The breakfast was good, too.
Cons: There's a mosque right next to the riyad and the call to prayer at dawn was so loud that it was impossible not to wake up. The walls of the room were paper-thin so we could hear other guests perfectly clear, which was also an acoustic nuisance that disturbed us at night. Thankfully, we only stayed for two nights - this would have been a deal-breaker for a longer stay. Another riyad in the Medina that we stayed at didn't have these problems. There was also a number of other issues with the room: - It got very humid and the small window did little to alleviate that problem. - There were very few power sockets available. Providing a multi-socket extender could be helpful here.

Our experience at this Riad in Marrakech was amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a delicious tea, setting the tone for a warm and hospitable stay. The room was spotless, the breakfast was varied and delicious, and the small pool in the patio added a lovely touch. Although we didn’t use the spa, everything in the Riad radiated tranquility and attention to detail. That being said, the location wasn’t our favorite, and we stayed in a ground-floor room, which was a bit noisy at times. We also found it a little pricey for what it offered. However, the staff’s kindness and attentiveness truly made a difference—they were incredible and made us feel at home.

Zeer welkom ontvangen in de riad. De riad zat op een goede locatie in het centrum en was erg schoon. Mijn vriendin heeft een lactose intolerantie en hier werd erg goed rekening mee gehouden. De rooftop was ook heel fijn. Abdul was tot slot zeer gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen!
Cons: De bedden waren klein en vrij hard. Bij een van de kamers die we hadden was ook de badkamer vrij klein en niet echt comfortabel (bij de andere kamer was dit niet). De kamers zijn zeer gehorig en we werden in de ochtend vroeg gewekt door het gebed van de moskee om de hoek. Waarschijnlijk is daar in het centrum van Marrakech geen ontkomen aan, maar neem dus zeker oordoppen mee. Verder kan het personeel opdringerig overkomen. Als jonge dames vonden we de omgang met Mustafa (die heel graag zelf bij naam in de review genoemd wilde worden) ook wat onprettig.

The location couldn’t be better, it’s right at the gate to the new side of the city with a supermarket less than 10 mins away, at the same time is in the Medina and close from everything within. The food in the riad is amazing, I highly recommend having the breakfast and trying lunch/dinner. The harira and the tajines are absolutely delicious and the perfect dinner after a day of walking around in Marrakech. The whole staff is amazing but a special shout out to Mustafa who was amazing and so so helpful. Not only he gave us a few good tips to eat around Marrakech but also shared a lot of the traditions which we were so happy to learn.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, das Personal ist außerordentlich nett und äußerst hilfsbereit (Mostafa und Abdessamat), die eher bescheidenen Zimmer (2 Sterne) ohne Schrank und Kommode sind sauber und liebevoll zurechtgemacht. Unbedingt wissen muss man, dass das Frühstück und ggf. das Abendessen auf der Dachterrasse im Freien ohne Überdachung (nur provisorische dünne Plane) serviert werden, und zwar auch im Dezember/Januar bei Außentemperaturen von 4-6 °C! Wenn man am Abend einen Wein (Alkohol) trinken möchte, muss man ihn selbst mitbringen. Leider werden diese Umstände nirgendwo mitgeteilt. Fazit: Wir kommen gerne wieder, aber nur in der warmen Jahreszeit!

Cons: Riad is off a side street so be prepared to walk a little to get into the center of town. Ear plugs may also be helpful if you're a light sleeper!

L'emplacement du riad est bien situé pour le calme et pour visiter les sites et les alentours. On a tout fait à pied. Le riad est très propre et soigné ainsi que la chambre. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

The room was nice although you do hear the call for prayer in the middle of the night (but it is part of the experience, I guess). The staff were polite and eager to meet your expectations. They have a nice rooftop where you have breakfast.
Cons: The location isn't great. Do not book transfers with the Riad (except on arrival) as they charge way more than the value of the trip. E.g. they asked us for 220dh to take us to a restaurant nearby (2km) and a street taxi charged us 50dh.

Het personeel was SUPER vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Echt lieve mensen waren het. De Riad was op zich wel proper en netjes. Het Ontbijt was netjes en werd aan tafel geserveerd. Dit zag er goed uit en was ook lekker. Wel jammer dat ze dit niet vermelden in de beschrijving. Het was elke dag Marrokkaans ontbijt en dit viel na 2 dagen wel tegen aangezien het niet echt ons ding was. Wanneer je een eitje vroeg was dat wel absoluut geen probleem!
Cons: De bedden waren een echte domper... echt enorm hard. Zowel mijn vriendin als ik hebben ons verblijf heel slecht geslapen. Dus betere bedden zouden echt een must zijn. De badkamer was hygiënisch maar het enige minpunt was dat je de douchesproeier enkel kon vasthouden. En dus niet gewoon onder de douche kon gaan staan.

Cons: Un riad boutique hotel? Cet établissement était noté 9,3 sur Booking "fabuleux" Nous y avons séjourné une nuit et quelle déception.. pour ne pas dire catastrophe.. Nous étions rassurés par les commentaires et la caractéristique "boutique" lors de notre réservation.. Et bien qu' à notre arrivée le personnel était chaleureux et accueillant, nous avons attendu une heure pour avoir notre chambre alors que nous sommes arrivés de l'aéroport à 17h30.. Nous étions logées au rdc , la chambre était humide et froide nous avons dû y mettre le chauffage au maximum pour y être à l'aise. Literie inconfortable, serviettes trouées, cloques d'humidité, mal équipée, une seule prise (hors lampe de chevet) dans toute la chambre, salle de bain vétuste, douche non étanche, coton tige moisi, aucune Insonorisation... Nous avons été dérangé à 22h30 par un membre de l'hôtel car nous parlions "trop fort" Quant au petit déjeuner il était tout aussi décevant ! personne pour nous expliquer les plats disponibles, aucune tables n'étaient débarrasser à notre arrivée sur la terrasse. Bref ça n'a pas arrangé le séjour... Le transfert proposé étaient le double du prix habituel . Nous sommes parti à pied. Je tenais à laisser un commentaire car nous avons clairement été berné.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Riad Ekla Boutique Hotel! In person it looks even prettier than on the photos. Incredibly cosy, beautiful and atmospheric space. And apparently you are even allowed to swim in the little pool in the middle! The hotel also has a very nice rooftop where they serve the included breakfast. The rooms are very clean and bright, with a good AC and strong wifi. Location is extremely convenient too- on the northern edge of the medina. The rest of the old city is to your south and to your north it's a 15 min walk to the absolute must visit Majorelle Gardens and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. The highlight of the hotel is the staff. Very professional, friendly and helpful. They speak very good English and made us feel very welcome and safe as well as provided good advice on how to plan our days in Marrakech!
Cons: The only possible negative we could come up with is that there are only 2 sockets in the room, both already occupied by the bedside lamps, making us have to disconnect them in order to charge all our devices. 1 more free socket on either side of the bed would've made it perfect!

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at this riad for three nights, and it was an unforgettable experience thanks to the exceptional staff and the beautiful atmosphere of the property. A special mention goes to Yassin, who was simply incredible throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to help us with any questions we had and shared fascinating insights about Marrakech. Yassin even assisted us in purchasing and activating a SIM card, making the process seamless. His attentiveness and warm hospitality made us feel truly at home. Another highlight of our stay was Mustafa, who took care of breakfasts with a constant smile on his face. Each day, he asked what time we’d like to have breakfast and ensured everything was ready when we arrived. He also showed genuine interest in how our day went and was always concerned about our well-being, which we deeply appreciated. We also had a brief but wonderful interaction with Abdul on our last day. Though our time with him was short, he shared a beautiful conversation about Moroccan culture and people, leaving a lasting impression. He also helped us arrange a taxi and made sure our journey back to the airport went smoothly. Finally, Neima deserves recognition for her cheerful and kind demeanor. She attended to us with a warm smile and made us feel welcomed every time we crossed paths. The riad itself is stunning, with a charming design and a serene ambiance, but what truly sets it apart is the incredible staff. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience in Marrakech.
Cons: I don’t mean this as a major complaint, but it would have been helpful to know the price of the water when we asked for it, as we initially thought it was included in the room price. That being said, everything else was absolutely excellent!

We hadden een fantastisch verblijf bij Riad Ekla. Het personeel is zo aardig en doen alles voor je. Het is er schoon en netjes en elke dag kregen we een vers ontbijt geserveerd. Het ligt lekker centraal en de bezienswaardigheden waren prima aan te lopen. Via het hotel zelf kun je excursies boeken en je wordt voor de deur opgehaald. Ook transfer van en naar het hotel kan via het hotel ook geboekt worden. Met mijn 6,5 maanden zwangerschap werd ik enorm in de watten gelegd en waren ze heel zorgzaam voor me, wij komen graag nog een keer terug!

Good location, close to the entry into the Medina so we had easy access to go deeper into the city or leave the walls. Beautiful riad. We stayed in a 1 bed/1 bath and it suited our needs as we just needed a quiet and clean place to rest at night because we were out and about during the day. Our unit was on the ground floor- very easily accessible. Breakfast every morning upstairs on the rooftop was very convenient. The table spread changed slightly from day to day to keep things a little interesting, but the Moroccan breakfast staples were there and we looked forward to it each morning. The staff at the front desk helped in so many ways throughout our stay, whether it was helping with our bags, giving recommendations, coordinating taxis, etc. Also I would love to give a special shout out to Yassine who went ABOVE & BEYOND to ensure we were safe and sound on our last night in Marrakech when we had a booking mishap with another property (completely unrelated to Riad Ekla) that turned out to be a scam. Riad Ekla is lucky to have Yassine who has given me a lasting impression of the Moroccan people and hospitality. I would gladly return and stay at Riad Ekla the next time I’m in Morocco, inshallah :)
Cons: The pool is set in the “lobby” or ground floor and is smaller than pictured. Maybe I was silly to think of it as a practical pool. It is still very nice to sit around but just something to adjust your expectations on.

Ficava um bocado longe para regressar á noite a pé se estivermos mesmo no centro da medina mas no geral a localização permitia fazer tudo a pé. E ter atenção que para comer perto não há praticamente oferta. Adoramos que tivesse ar condicionado

Accoglienza all'arrivo bellissima con il rito del the e le spiegazioni del manager che è stato sempre gentilissimo in tutte le giornate. Terrazza sui tetti di Marrackesh con i suoi bei tramonti, in una traversa della via principale che con 20 Min attraverso il suk ti portava alla piazza principale.
Cons: Per un Riad boutique mi aspettavo una stanza maggiormente curata nei dettagli e nella pulizia, in 4 giorni pieni non è mai stata data una spazzata al pavimento, (era caduta una SIM e non è mai stata spostata), abbiamo preso mezza pensione ma il menù era sempre lo stesso non c'era mai un piatto del giorno diverso per cambiare nella scelta. Esperienza nell'hammam da non fare a mio avviso! si svolge in un'altra struttura adiacente ma non ha nulla di bello degli hammam tipici, una stanza piccola senza nessuna decorazione quasi clastrofobica e non sembrava pulitissima e una mini stanza dove fare il massaggio e cambiarsi senza potersi appoggiare da nessuna parte sulla porta i vestiti e le borse delle ragazze addette che sono state gentilissime. A meno era possibile godere di un esperienza tipica in una struttura molto più bella, colpa nostra che ci siamo fatti convincere all' inizio del soggiorno, senza nemmeno una foto dell'hammam.

Fell in love with this white house with a green pool, very charming Morrocan design. The sweet fragrance every corner was relaxing and pleasing. So quiet except birds singing and the running water of the pool. A heaven to escape from the hustle and bustle of the old Medina. Nice and friendly staff who offered perfect welcome mint tea and cookies, and a very brief useful suggestions of the attractions. Breakfast on the rooftop was a good beginning of each day, too. In Morrocan style, it was quite full and balanced with vegetable salad, yoga, fruit, orange juice, etc. Chatting with the staff was ice on the cake, making me feel like home! So grateful I made the best choice to stay there! Thank you Ekla, you made my day!

The Riad is beautiful!!! We stayed as a group of 7 women and felt so safe and welcome. The authentic Moroccan experience but with modern style and touches, we loved that we were near to the hustle and bustle but not right in it! Every member of staff we spoke with was incredibly kind, hospitable and funny!! Ibrahim was amazing with our breakfast service & all the front desk staff were so helpful and truly made it a holiday to remember

Het is een mooie riad met heel vriendelijk personeel dat graag een praatje met je maakt. ze helpen je ook met eender wat je nodig hebt. de locatie van het hotel is ook zeker prima je wandelt ongeveer 15 minuten naar de soeks en een 25 minuten tot het centrale plein. onze kamer werd iedere dag netjes onderhouden.
Cons: het ontbijt was zeker lekker, maar naar enkele dagen werd het wel een beetje eentonig. Het zwembad in het midden van het hotel is visueel een leuke meerwaarde maar het water is erg koud en wordt niet zo ontzetten goed onderhouden. we zijn hier een keer gaan afkoelen maar hebben het snel weer verlaten omdat het water behoorlijk vuil leek.

Nachdem wir herzlich mit Minztee empfangen wurden, haben wir einige Empfehlungen bekommen und konnten über das Hotel einige Aktionen buchen (Fahrt in die Wüste, Hamam) Wir haben eine Hamam Massage gebucht und durften in einem anderen (Partner) Riad den größeren Pool mitbenutzen und dort ein paar Stunden verbringen. Unsere 3 Tagestour in die Wüste haben wir nach dem Aufenthalt begonnen und die Organisation hat reibungslos funktioniert. Toller Service :)
Cons: Der Pool ist kleiner als auf den Fotos wirkt, aber mehr als ausreichend. Das Frühstück hat sehr lange gedauert, da nur eine Person für das gesamte Riad zuständig war.

We had a fantastic stay at the riad. We arrived in the evening and were greeted with Moroccan tea and pastries. The riad is beautiful, very peaceful and is like a calm oasis in the centre of Marrakech. The room was spotless and had everything we needed - great AC, hairdryer, toiletries, bottled water etc. The manager, Yaseen is super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. He gave us lots of recommendations about the medina and he arranged a private tour guide for us (who was fantastic!) as well as recommending two superb restaurants (comptoir and Azar) and arranging transfers for us. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and is lovely, a mixture of Moroccan pastries, fruit etc and is different every day. Brahim looked after us every day and nothing was too much trouble for him. We ate at the hotel one night and would recommend the lamb tagine. Honestly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, the staff are amazing and the riad is a great place for exploring the medina.

Me gustó que tuviese piscina y recibidor. El diseño y color del riad es muy bonito, está muy bien cuidado. También la azotea es muy bonita para desayunar. El aire acondicionado funcionó de maravilla, no pasamos nunca calor.

Everything was just as pictured. Really lovely riad and so peaceful. We loved everything from the start of our stay. It was so clean, beautiful and relaxing. Staff was very friendly, polite, helpful and attentive. They explained the area and key sites to visit. Breakfast served on the terrace was delicious and different every day with fresh homemade cakes and bread, fresh salad fruit, fresh yogurt and juice/coffee. Many thanks to Brahim who served us there. He was so kind and sweet. Special thanks to the manager of the Riad, Mohamed Bahabbaz who was by our side every time we needed him. There are no words to describe his kindness. He treated us like friends not clients. All of the staff were great Mohamed in front desk was a great guy and helpful too. Lovely hospitality. We miss everyone already. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! We would definitely stay there again on a future trip.

Als je nog nooit in Marrakech geweest bent, kunnen deze mensen alles zeggen wat je moet gezien hebben. De kamers zijn prachtig net als heel deze riad. Alles is te voet te bereiken. Staff were great, pretty place, decent location. The staff were very accommodating, twice preparing breakfast a little earlier for us so we could get out on our excursions. Mohammed was a very good host and also the other staff very friendly especially Brahim. Some people talk about problems with money in the reviews we experienced no problems at all with our bill or booking. We dont regret choosing Riad Ekla.
Cons: Could do with a few basic upgrades to the room like a full length mirror, shower head needed to be fixed on a wall as couldnt be adjusted, few more plug sockets in the room would he good too.

We had an amazing stay at Riad Ekla Boutique Hotel. The Riad is easy to find at the start of the Medina and close to everything. We only walked around and it was very easy. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The staff definitely made the whole experience next level - especially the two Mohammed! They shared tips with us about Marrakech at the beginning and were always open to discuss and laugh with us. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty! We also had massages and facial treatment at their twin hotel and loved it! The pool and rooftop were also so enjoyable in summer. Definitely recommend for a Marrakech stay.

La struttura è veramente bella e signorile, viene curata quotidianamente. La posizione è ottima per raggiungere i suk, ed appena dentro le mura della medina (comodo anche per l’arrivo in tarda sera). Ci hanno accolto per il check in alle 4 del mattino. Il punto di forza di questa struttura è sicuramente la cordialità e l’accoglienza: il proprietario, Mohammed “Meknes”, Brahim, la dolcissima ragazza delle pulizie che ci ha regalato una rosa, e tutti gli altri dello staff sono stati veramente simpatici, disponibili ad ogni richiesta e fantastici! La colazione servita in terrazza è abbondante e deliziosa. Il cameriere è preciso e professionale! Grazie per aver reso il nostro primo soggiorno a Marrakech indimenticabile, se dovessimo tornare sceglieremo sicuramente questo riad.

No suelo redactar reseñas, pero este hotel se lo merece. No es un hotel más. He viajado con mi grupo de amigos y teníamos claro que queríamos alojarnos en un riad, no en un hotel sin personalidad. Con Ekla hemos dado en el clavo. El patio, las habitaciones, la terraza… es un hotel que te hace sentir que estás en Marrakech y en Marruecos durante toda la estancia. Por cierto, las habitaciones no tienen televisión, para mí algo positivo. Nos gustó mucho el trato del personal. Inmejorable. Los dos Mohamed son extraordinarios. Se prestan a ayudar para todo, son detallistas, nos han acompañado tanto al spa como al punto de encuentro con los transfer… Así uno se siente como en casa. El desayuno en la terraza y la piscina -sin cargo extra- son un lujo. De verdad que se agradece refrescarse en un entorno así, en el patio, en días en los que el termómetro no ha bajado de 40 grados. Otro aspecto que os puede interesar es la conexión wifi. Funciona muy bien, algo que rara vez se ve en hoteles. En resumen, si viajas a Marrakech, este es tu hotel.
Cons: La única ‘pega’ que ponemos es que contratamos un guía a través del hotel y… nos salió un poco rana. Eso sí, nos ha dado las anécdotas del viaje.

En globalité nous avons passé un superbe séjour. Nous avons été accueillis avec des biscuits et du thé, le personnel est au petit soin pour nous. Ils nous ont donné des conseils pour passer un agréable séjour (marcher à droite dans la rue, ne pas suivre les inconnus qui nous indiquent le chemin, des endroits à visiter, des restaurants, etc). Le cadre extérieur du Riad fait un peu peur mais une fois à l’intérieur c’est un havre de paix. Le déjeuner est super bon et copieux. Nous sommes restés 5jours et c’était assez diversifié. Je recommande ce riad sans hésitation. Il est bien situer : proche de la place jema El fna, du souk et des points de rdv pour les excursions.

Our stay at Ekla Boutique Hotel was absolutely incredible ! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with pure Moroccan delicious tea. The host gave us a map and explained to us everything we needed to know , where to go eat , activities and so on. Absolutely anything we needed to know, they were always very attentive. Very friendly staff. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options to start our day right. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. The hotel's location was perfect, close to major attractions and public transportation. We also appreciated the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, we had an exceptional experience and highly recommend Ekla Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Les photos rendent justice à l’établissement qui est un vrai petit havre de paix dans la Médina. Elles ne permettent pas en revanche de décrire la gentillesse et la prévenance du personnel. The food in the Riad was delicious, credits to the in-house chef, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there throughout our stay and it was of high quality. The staff were amazing, so kind and extremely helpful with advice, bookings and walking you to local locations eg. for Hammam and massage. We had an early check out and they provided take away breakfast!! We do recommend a stay here.

Exceptionnel ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Marrakech au sein du riad Ekla ! La chambre était bien décorée, fonctionnelle, et très calme ! La salle de bain est un peu petite, mais suffisante pour deux personnes. La chambre était conforme à nos attentes. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, varié et change tous les jours. La terrasse est vraiment appréciable, ainsi que le bassin d'eau et les petits espaces où se poser dans le riad. Le riad est très bien situé, dans la médina. Il est possible de tout visiter à pied. Le quartier est un peu populaire mais nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis en insécurité. Par contre les taxis ne veulent pas toujours se rendre dans la rue El Gza et il faut un peu insister pour qu'ils acceptent de s'y rendre. Plusieurs fois on nous a proposé de nous déposer dans une rue proche. Enfin, le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et serviable. En bref nous recommandons ce riad. Très bon rapport qualité/prix.
Cons: Les chambres ne semblent pas très bien isolées phonétiquement mais l'ensemble des voyageurs était calme donc nous n'avons pas été embêtés par le bruit.
