The staff were so friendly and helpful. It felt like a peaceful oasis in the heat and busyness of marrakech. The location was 10 mins from the souks and 20 mins walk from main square. The rooms were immaculate, airconditioned. The breakfast lovely. We would definitely stay again.

Cons: There essentially is no parking You can only walk to the Riad - 5 mins or so from parking on public square. We had to pay for this - negotiated 80 dirham for 1 night with locals who parked the car and kept the key overnight. This feels quite steep but understand not the fault of the hotel - just putting it here for information

Amazing location, building and welcome (with tea and biscuits, baby cats under the table) very helpful staff. Was very clean, breakfast is super nice.

Cons: Room was a bit tiny ;) My kid could not use the pool in the morning (8-9AM) due to fact that other guests were sleeping. They were nice about it, but we chose the place because of the pool, so was a bit uncomfortable.

I had a truly awful experience at this hotel and feel it’s important to warn others. From the very beginning, the stay was filled with problems and a complete lack of professionalism. There were no visible prices or policies, and nothing was clearly communicated. When we arrived, we were told we had to wait until 3 PM to check in, even though my wife is ill and disabled, and the hotel had no wheelchair access or support. It was extremely difficult for her, and the staff showed no willingness to help or accommodate her condition. Then during our stay we saw other guests checking in at 9am and 10am without issues... A staff member named Asma repeatedly gave us false information throughout our stay. Then, at checkout, we were suddenly charged for tea and water, which we had previously been told were complimentary. When we refused to pay, explaining that it was never stated anywhere and we had never seen a price list, Isma threatened to call the police. She then brought in the manager, who was rude, aggressive, and completely disrespectful. When we asked calmly for a breakdown of charges, he refused to listen and also threatened to call the police. We were ultimately forced to pay just as our driver was waiting to take us to the airport, and we nearly missed our flight. What made this even worse was the emotional impact. My wife, who suffers from a serious illness, was distraught and in tears because of how she was treated. It was heartbreaking to see her so upset, all because of the unjust and aggressive behavior of the receptionist and manager. We also witnessed how restaurant and cleaning staff were undermined and spoken to poorly by management, which added to the negative atmosphere. I hope the owner of this hotel reads this review and sees the real emotional and physical harm caused by their staff’s actions. This was not just a bad stay—it was a deeply distressing experience. I would strongly advise anyone, especially families or those with health conditions, to stay far away from this place.

A hidden gem in the heart of Marrakesh! Riad Nuits d’Orient is absolutely beautiful, with a peaceful courtyard featuring a lovely central pool. The rooftop terrace is a perfect place to start the day with a delicious Moroccan breakfast. The staff at were truly exceptional, and namely: Asma, Hamza, Munir, Anas. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. They were always available to answer questions, offer local recommendations, arrange activities or transport, and even share insights into Moroccan culture and history. Their kindness, attentiveness, and personal touch made our stay feel incredibly special and stress-free. The rooms are traditionally decorated with amazing attention to detail and offer all the comforts you need, including air conditioning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Marrakesh!

Such a beautiful riad. The rooms are on the smaller side but that wasn’t an issue for us. There’s enough room for all your bits and to manoeuvre around so that was good for us. The pool is a great temp for the hot Moroccan weather and the seats around the pool are great and comfy. The staff were incredible, we didn’t arrive until 1am due to our flight being rerouted to Casablanca for weather issues at Marrakech airport and one of the staff members came and met us at the taxi drop off and walked us to the riad so we didn’t get lost. We didn’t expect that so really was a great first impression. The staff were welcoming and happy to help at any time. The breakfast was delicious but a lot of food!

Cons: I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like

Myself and my friend absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were incredible and the check in process was very personal. One which I have never experienced before. When arriving we were sat down and given a traditional cup of tea (amazing). Within the checkin process, the staff go through what you have planned for your stay so they can advise/recommend tourist attractions and any recommendations they have which was really lovely. We got a map which was annotated to show where we needed to go and how far each place we wanted to visit was from one another. All the staff, including the cleaners and waiters were incredible! I will be walk!

Hard to find anything we liked except the staff. they were kind.

Cons: This is a scam place. I advice you to look at Google maps reviews as it's much more accurate than booking reviews. I really think booking should remove this listing and all from the same owners as this is just a scam. I wish I was more cautious and looked at Google maps reviews instead of trusting manly on booking reviews and pictures. Overpriced for what they offer, there is a too strong smell of some incense, so strong that you can feel it before you get in the Riad. Lack of maintenance, tiny rooms, dirty and old carpets, destroyed towels and sofa pillows. They even cancelled our booking after we left the Riad so we couldn't review it. Luckily after talking with booking help center they open the review system. We arrived one day before to check the hotel because we were traveling with some clients and booked 3 rooms in total. We didn't liked it at all, noise everywhere, lack of cleanliness, badly finished, we immediately said we wanted to cancel 2 rooms to accumulate our clients in another place and keep one room only for ourselves so the Hotel does not loses everything, they didn't accepted saying it was a no cancellation booking, even when we suggest to open to the public those rooms, they refuse it. Since the payment was made upfront, they didn't returned a thing, even that they didn't have expenses with breakfast, water, power, clean and city taxes for those two rooms. We asked for a breakfast kit to take with us as we left earlier the last day, and when we open the package here was only a small dry bread and a dry msmen... that's it

This is a beautiful property and staff have given a lot of attention to detail to make it that bit more appealing.

Cons: On the staircase there were 5 oil burners that burned 24 hours a day and the scent was so overwhelming that both my friend and I got headaches and generally felt we did not want to spend time in the Riad as it was so strong. We had to sleep with aircon on and windows shut it was so overpowering and completely unbearable.

The location was central, maybe difficult to find your first time, but you’re greeted by one of the staff. Overall very friendly and helpful staff, nothing but positive comments here. What a charming little place hidden away, you’d have no idea of its location and what’s behind the doors. It’s not your usual kind of plush modern accommodation, but there is something very special here that I really enjoyed. Almost the simplicity of it made it quite beautiful. Rooms are small and equipped with the basics, but that’s all you really need. I was here on business so fleeting at best, but the time I was there I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was very good and again, super attentive staff here. Not at all my usual kind of accommodation, but it’s full of its own personality and charm. I really enjoyed my 4 nights stay.

Cons: Nothing I didn’t like, as I said it’s what it is, doesn’t pretend to be plush and 5 star. It delivers on what it’s supposed too. Nothing that’s negative that should put you off.

The riad is adorable and it looks very nice. I enjoyed the natural light coming through the empty roof and the pool area was very cozy. The rooms are small, but I believe that is typical for a riad. Despite that, my husband and I had enough space for our two big luggages. The location is great. We always walked to where we needed to go. You can walk to the main square and we also walked to Jardin Majorelle. The people working there were very kind and helpful and gave us directions on what to visit and what activities we can do.

It felt like a truly authentic experience in a traditional riad. Breakfast filled you up and kept you going all day. The staff were extremely friendly and spent time explaining where things were in Marrakech and recommendations to go. The Riad was very clean and the rooms were great for resting and refreshing. As we were staying half board, our breakfasts dinners were included and there was such a variety of traditional meals. Very filling and amazing value for money. The Riad is within walking distance of the main areas but tucked down a side street so very quiet.

The property was fantastic, very clean and well presented. Perfect location for exploring the authentic side of Marrakech and the photos don’t do it justice, absolutely breathtaking. The highlight of our stay was Hamza, he was extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming. There wasn't a thing that was too much to ask. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and Hamza stayed late to ensure we got the full welcome experience. He met us at the car provided by the Riad and carried our bags for us. He then welcomed us with tea, biscuits and an explanation of how to navigate the city and even showed us the way to the nearest shop. Hamza also noticed it was my birthday when we arrived and made arrangements for a surprise birthday cake for the following morning at breakfast accompanied by a song from all the kitchen staff. This man is a credit to the Riad and made our holiday even more unforgettable, GIVE THIS MAN A PAY RISE! Thank you from us both once again for a stay we'll never forget.

An incredible stay at the Riad Nuits D’orient! We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute. Yes the walls are thin so it can be on the noisy side, and the rooms are small but I think that’s to be expected from a Riad! We were never woken up/disturbed ridiculously early and found the beds and cleanliness to be absolutely fine. We had a few chill days around the pool and saw housekeeping staff hard at work from morning to night cleaning. Breakfast was fantastic and the whole place is stunning and smells divine!? Never stayed anywhere that smelt so good(!). What really makes this place is the staff though. So helpful and couldn’t do enough for you - happy to help you with any questions and just generally chat and share the Moroccan culture with you. Special thank you to Mohammed and the guy who was often on the reception morning shift - so so sorry we didn’t get your name but we loved our chats with you both!! We were running late for the airport on the last day and Mohammed even arranged for us to have our breakfast in take out boxes and take out coffee which was so kind. Location is also ideal within the medina - all the main attractions are within walking distance and walking through the souks every day to get where you wanted to be was such a fun experience (taxi access is also practically outside the riad though if you need one). The riad is a lovely oasis of calm in the chaos of Marrakech. So relaxing to sit round the pool area, read your book and order some of the traditional tea - so delicious. The welcome tea/biscuits on arrival were also wonderful. 10/10 would recommend this place (and have done to friends since we got back). Thank you so much - Paige & Scott

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful riad in Marrakech and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Every single member of staff was incredibly warm, kind, and attentive – it honestly felt like we were being welcomed by friends rather than just guests. The riad itself is stunning – traditional, peaceful, and immaculately maintained. One of the first things we noticed was how spotlessly clean everything was. The housekeeping team deserves special praise: our room was freshened up each morning with great care and attention to detail, and it was always a joy to return to such a tidy, tranquil space after a day exploring the city. You can tell they really take pride in their work. The food was another highlight – every meal we had was absolutely delicious. Everything was prepared with love and served with such generosity. Breakfasts were a delight and set us up perfectly for the day. A huge thank you has to go to Mohammed, who was simply amazing throughout our stay. He was always available to help organise day trips, activities, and transport, and his recommendations were spot on. Whether it was a visit to the Agafay desert, a hammam experience, or just advice on the best local spots, he made sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt looked after every step of the way. It’s rare to find a place where the hospitality feels so genuine and consistent across every member of staff – but this riad truly exceeded our expectations. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return. Highly, highly recommended to anyone looking for a real gem in Marrakech!

Cons: Nothing :)

We had a lovely stay at this Riad. Took us a little while to find it due to a recent name change. But they definitely redeemed themselves. Staff could not be more helpful and so friendly. Great location for market shopping and food. We walked to the Gueliz region easily from here. We managed to find lovely places for a wee afternoon wine, even during Ramadan. Beds are quite hard but my fifties hips don't take much. Breakfasts were perfect to start the day. All served on the lovely blue roof terrace. Queen Celine the sweetest cat was a joy too. 🐾

Our stay at the hotel was made exceptionally good because of the friendliness of the staff. Anas and Hamra were so pleasant and helpful. They both helped us navigate our way around Marakesh, which we would have found a lot more difficult without their help . They escorted us to show us on our first evening to a restaurant, organised early breakfast the day we left and helped to make our holiday so memorable.

I have never felt so welcome to a property! The staff were amazing, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They were very friendly, especially Anas he was so lovely and he helped us book our activities. The property itself is so beautiful, I highly recommend. One thing I noted is they clean a lot, every time we were coming and going there was someone always cleaning. The food/service was amazing the attention to detail was incredible. We got a hammam, definitely get one it’s worth it! The girls who done it made us feel very comfortable and we enjoyed this very much. The riad is very central to the main tourist attractions, everything is walking distance. We had an amazing stay in this riad and I would 100% stay here again.

Riad located in Medina. Perfect location to explore Marrakesh. Staff are friendly, kind and helpful. Especially Ziad. We first thought he was a manager because his customer service was excellent. He gave us his phone number and that made us feel much more comfortable in streets of Manchester because we knew we will reach help if needed. The coffee was delicious. We even tried Morrocan herb coffee. I think Youssef in charge of delicious coffee mixing. Room was comfy and stylish. Roof terrace was perfect for sunbathing and evening relax under the moonlight. They even helped us to get lift to the Airport. Super!

Inside the RIAD a beautiful sanctuary awaits where staff do their very best to make visitors comfortable and knowledgeable in order to make the most of their stay in Marrakesh. However, first impressions of the area are quite a shock because the RIAD is situated in quite a dark, narrow alley not far from the chaos of the Medina. But for visitors like me who want to experience the real Marrakesh I think this property has the right contrast between outside and inside. In January, breakfast outside was a little chilly but the warmth of the staff more than made up for it. This RIAD has a great team of people who clearly enjoy working together and who genuinely take a personal interest in their visitors and value tourism in general. The RIAD is decorated in authentic Moroccan style. An atmosphere of tranquility, relaxation and calm inside prepares the visitor for the startling sensations, sounds and smells that await outside. Be prepared to experience the real Marrakesh!

Authentic typical building in the heart of Medina. Very gentle staff and coherent services. If the guest wants, he/she can leave the organization of all typical experiences (Agafay desert excursion, Hammam….) to them and just enjoy the experience. Breakfast is sweet and with a good portion. Very quiet part of the city. Recommended!

I booked 4 nights at this Riad. The rooms are cramped, bed hard and noisy, bathroom tiny and impossible to use without drenching the place in water. I complained and offered to pay the first night. I was promised a refund for the remaining 3 nights. Despite extensive requests this has now been refused.

I really liked the location of the hotel. I also liked how they guided us to be more familiar with the city and the tourist attractions.

Cons: OH MY GOD, THE BREAKFAST WAS SOOO BAD. The staff that were supposed to serve us food were extremely slow and rude about bringing specific food to our table, and this behavior almost ruined our vacation.

Cons: we checked in the hotel, and we found our room to be very small (our hand -luggage barely fits in), sparingly furnished, with a small bed, lumpy pillows, no headboard and an old dented mattress without proper sheets (the bottom sheet is put on the mattress without any mattress protector). The bathroom is old, poorly maintained, looks mouldy in places, taps are rusty and leaking, no shower curtains. No real hanging is possible in the only tiny storage cabinet provided. Breakfast is served outdoors only, meaning it’s quite uncomfortable at this time of the year with the cold temperatures. What they offer is a butter that is in reality margerine. The options are limited and quality is just sufficient. We complained at arrival, got told we would get an alternative accommodation as this management runs various riads, to go and have lunch, but when we came back we got told the “reservations” were not available to help (at 3pm?!?) and they could not do anything about it. So we were made us believe they could address our complaint when they probably knew from the start nothing would be done. It’s a truly unacceptable and unprofessional to be fooled by some staff that makes empty statements and don’t follow through what they promise. We asked for a refund and they said it would be possible but only the day after. When we asked to get a written confirmation that we would get it tomorrow, they said they could not do it! They then promised some “supervisor” would come to the road today, and he would be able to help. We would like a refund for this stay, as we paid €171 per night for a room that is really worth a 60€ maximum, even considering the high season. I also want to add the before our arrival we asked for a change in the dates of our stay and it was denied, so we are here 4 nights only, but we are paying for 5 nights, and we got no refund for the extra night we will not need.

The riad itself was lovely and clean, staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. Lovely rooftop terrace, beautifully decorated common areas. The breakfast was very basic and small quantity, but fresh and with some traditional dishes (tiny mixed fruit plate, juice, tea/coffee, bread with jam/butter, morrocan pancake and porridge). It was ok as an experience.

Cons: My room was tiny, although it was a double room it was hardly enough space for 1 person. No more than 10sqm (not as described). The bathroom was extremely tiny and falling apart, hard to enter as the door didnt fully open due to lack of space. It was unpleasant and hard to use the shower, and it is definitely not the experience you expect when paying this price in Marrakesh. The breakfast was very basic and small quantity. Bed wasnt really comfortable and the room itself was tiny, nowhere to hang clothes, no space to move or place a luggage. No sound isolation - could hear people behind the wall, and in the common grounds. The area seemed a bit dodgy. It would seem that the high rating is faked. Would not return.

It was like an oasis of calm and quite a surprise when you walk in the main door to find a beautiful courtyard. The staff were exceptional. Special mention to Yassine the receptionist who has a passion for the building and its history and was always available to assist, very professional and friendly. Also Yusef on reception who was always smiling and happy to help. They made our stay that extra bit special.

Cons: I feel a bit churlish complaining, but adding tea/coffee facilities and a fridge in the room would have been perfect.

Truly terrible property. What they show you in the photographs is not what you get. Our room was dirty; nowhere to hang our clothes; no cupboard with doors; no headboard for the bed; the electrical socket didn’t work; the toilet seat was broken - kept falling on you as you use it. There was about 8 inches of space on Each side of the bed - I almost fell over a couple of times. I have pictorial evidence. The approach is through darky dinghy alleyways- scary if you happen to be on Your own. Never never book a Riyad!! The service was acceptable. We had booked for 4 nights but left after one awful night. We asked for our money back for 3 nights but the hotel didn’t have the decency to do that. Expedia say the they didn’t respond to their requests. Terrible, awful, borderline disgusting!! Expedia’ response to a regular customer has been to Wash its hand of the whole episode. Deeply disappointing!!

It was very disappointing! The beds were horrible—extremely noisy and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping without pillows because they were so hard and tall. The bathroom was also a problem, as it stayed damp and humid for hours after a shower, making the entire room feel unpleasant. We understand that staying in a riad means you’ll hear some noise, but having to endure a couple being intimate for several nights in a row was too much. Additionally, while music is expected, it would have been nice if it stopped by 9 PM instead of dragging on later into the evening. To make things worse, the picture of the terrace on Hotels.com was misleading and did not reflect the reality. All in all, the experience was far from relaxing.

An oasis of calm . The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The front desk staff even came to find me when my taxi had dropped me off and I had no idea where the riad was.

Cons: As a solo traveller it was tucked a little out of the way so I wouldn’t want to return alone after dark.

We really enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was tasty and in big amounts. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Also, the location was nice too: in a good neighbourhood not far from the main sites and great restaurants, while still being located on a quiter part of the Medina. The hotel is very beautiful and clean as well.

Cons: The room was smaller than we expected but still a good value for the price, however, the bed’s comfort should be improved. Also, the restaurant was by far the most expensive in the neighbourhood which was surprising compared to the price of our stay. The room was also quite noisy which didn’t bother us but it might be something to improve.

It is good for instagram pictures. Breakfast was okay but if you want eggs you have to ask for it.

Cons: We were in room 11 and there were bed bug. I got bites ALL over my body. They told us this never happened before but I saw a review only 3 days old saying they had bed bugs. They moved us to another room which was fine. I saw someone now moved in to room 11 just the day after so my guess is they don’t do anything about it. We did get a small discount on hammam bath because of it. I DONT recement you try hammam in this place. It was so overpriced and not comfortable or relaxing at all. Also rooms are old, small and not soundproof at all

The staff were very welcoming and attentive to all my questions and needs The room although small was very comfortable My daughter said this was the best breakfast out of all the dars and riads we stayed in. The location was really good. Not hard to find when you don’t follow google. Easy to get to the shops in the medina. The courtyard space and the terrace were really tranquil. I sat outside the room just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. The lighting fixture in the room are just gorgeous. The Riad itself was just beautiful A shout out to Hussain, Tariq and Moshine for their smiles, attentiveness, running to get me some Moroccan black soap from the market as well as speaking and bargaining with a taxi driver at 6am in the morning to take me to the train station.

Cons: The room is small. But it is in an old building so I understand the need to maximise on space. We had 2 suitcases and it was hard to have both of them open at the same time. The bathroom is also tiny so if you are plus sizes you might struggle to get in and close the door. We were also on the ground floor right next to the check in so we could hear all the coming and going of guests. Lastly, I felt that some of the costs were a bit high. A taxi to the train station was 20€. It would have been a private taxi but I didn’t see the point since it isn’t a far drive.

Worst stay I could have imagined! The room was tiny and disgusting and we felt dirty. Bathroom was not nice at all. We had a cockroach in our room. I am puzzled how this place has 8.9 score, it definitely does not live up to the pictures. On arrival the member of staff did meet us from our taxi which was good and helpful however no help with carrying luggage, it would have been nice when pregnant. No information was given about directions/the area/no map given. The only thing offered was a hamman and massage. Breakfast staff were nice.

Cons: Mattress was lumpy and I found hairs under the sheets when getting into bed for the first time. When arriving and leaving there is no hi/good morning/have a good day or niceties. When leaving after checking out, my partner checked us out then we grabbed our bags, the staff did not even say thank you and goodbye.

Riad Nuits D’Orient Marrakesh is a great place to stay. Spotless interior with a nice simple breakfast included. I have to say though it was Mohammed that really stood out for us. The staff was exceptionally helpful and always went out of their way to assist with anything I needed. The location is fantastic—very central and close to a key meeting point for various activity providers, making it convenient for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

Cons: I was disappointed with my experience on the first day. I had arranged for the Riad to book a taxi for my airport transfer, but the taxi never showed up. Despite messaging the Riad, I received no response. In general, their communication through booking messages was slow and unresponsive. Additionally, while they offer a variety of activities, I found that the prices were significantly higher than those of other providers, and the schedules were less convenient. Overall, this aspect of the service needs improvement.

It has a good location, the room was clean

Cons: One of the staff gave me a list of the excursions with their prices, I booked the city tour guide with €30 for one person for half a day. The tour guide ended up taking me to his friends shops to buy from them!! .. In the check out, the breakdown had a price for €60 for the city tour guide and they mentioned that the price for the city tour guide is the same for one and two people!! This information and this price was not mentioned in their flyer!! And the price in the flyer was €30 as they told me at beginning. However, they raised up the price to €60 and they were pushing me to pay more! And I was not satisfied with the city tour guide as I realised it was not a city tour rather than a shopping tour. This is totally not acceptable to try to push the guests to pay more in a nonsense way!!

This Riad is a gem in the old Medina. You’ll love a swim in the small pool during the hottest days. The rooms are small, but enough, considering that you’re free to use all common spaces anytime. The staff was the best part: Ismail and the other staff members made us feel at home, and went the extra mile to help and accommodate us.

The Riad itself is very beautiful but it was the staff that made our stay in Marrakech worthwhile. Mohsine was very accommodating from the very beginning of our trip to the end. Nothing was too much for him, he was always available for me whether he was working or not. He helped make our stay as comfortable as possible, especially for my parents who weren't well. He left a good and lasting positive impression on us and me and my husband were both very happy with how he took care of us to the extent where we want to come back for Mohsine. He is a very kind and patient person, who helped us every step of the way and nothing was too much for him. We will be coming back next year to the same Riad that Mohsine is in. The hotel was located on the edge of the medina making it within walking distance of most places, but also easy to get out again by car.

Cons: Beware the taxi transfers organised through this riad. They state on booking.com that airport transfers are free, however they are charging 220 MAD per person. They quoted 50 euros (540 MAD) for a taxi transfer to another hotel we were attending for a wedding. The same cab journey was capped at 200 MAD when going and coming from the second hotel. When we arrived on the first night there was no running water at the hotel, and this was not repaired until the following morning. It would have been helpful if we were offered either some bottled water or a discount.

Breakfast was lovely on the roof top (a selection of breads, jam/marmalade/butter, yogurt, omelette and tea/coffee, fruit, juice. The bedroom was small but very comfortable I slept amazing. Close to the Medina (walking distance) and also close the new part of town just a short taxi ride away. We would definitely return! Thank you for a great stay!

Cons: There were a lot of wasps on the roof terrace when we were having breakfast which is understandable as it’s a warm country. The door locks make a lot of noise especially on a morning when people are locking their rooms to go out for the morning. Other than that 10/10!
