**"Riad pulito e accogliente, ottima accoglienza.

The room was very nice and we had access to a terrace for ourselves and a private bathroom. The bed was very comfy, the bathroom very clean and the terrace was lovely. The breakfast is very nice (but you have to wait a bit for it, since the prepare it when you get up) The staff very nice!
Cons: It is a bit difficult to get there, we were helped by neighbours, since the streets are narrow and the location on Google maps not precise. If you’re a fearful person… the neighbourhood is a bit dark in the night. But it is safe, a guy tried to scam us one night, just that

Hostitelé byli velmi milí a pohostinní.

This was our first visit to Morocco and we had an amazing time. Everyone at the Archduke went out of their way to make our arrival and stay easy, comfortable and welcoming. We were looked after wonderfully and really felt at home. Amazing breakfasts, comfortable beds, and clean rooms in this beautiful Riad. Everything that you need and lots of places of interest in walking distance, but the Riad is quiet and peaceful. When we visit Marrakech again We will stay at the Archduke Private Rooms again.
Cons: We have no complaints, everything and everyone wonderful 😊

Nice staff. Comfy bed. Cute courtyard and roof terrace. Nice breakfast. Not far from souks and main square. Hidden away down several alleyways, away from the crazy hustle and bustle of Marrakesh, so nice and quiet of a night. Most of it clean.
Cons: The "boasted bath" was a joke. Mouldy groat, where grout existed. No plug. No taps, just a shower head on a mixer tap. I would describe it as a tiled shower tray. 1 foot high at the most. It's definitely not something you could soak in. I was really disappointed with this as I specifically selected bath as a search filter and had taken my bath salts hoping for a nice soak. There is no way I would sit down in it! The drainage was poor, hence the black mould around the tiles. Check out was up to 12pm but we were asked at 10am when we were leaving, so we felt a bit rushed and therefore packed our bags and departed quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at Archduke Private Rooms! The location is very central, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The riad is beautifully decorated with authentic Moroccan style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The local breakfast was delicious, and the service from the staff was excellent. Walid, in particular, was incredibly helpful—he waited for us after midnight for check-in and also supported us in finding a solution for an extra night when our plans changed.
Cons: One small downside is that Google Maps doesn’t show the location accurately, but Apple Maps worked better for us. That said, Walid will make sure to find you and guide you in if needed, so don’t worry too much about it.

Walid was friendly, breakfast was good and he did try to help but clearly has been put in charge while someone else was away and had not been left any instructions.
Cons: They failed to arrange anyone to pick us up from the airport as .we arranged - so we had to pay a large amount to get there. There was no private bathroom as had been promised (and confirmed before arriving). There were to toiletries, adapter, water or almost any of the other thingss they claim you will get. Despite complaining during the visit on bookings.com there has been no reply and no apology. I will therefore be recommending that this place is removed from bookings.com.

The riad was clean and essential, apart from the chaos of the Médina. Zacharia and Walid are very nice people.
Cons: The first time you'll get there you'll be lost for sure but Zacharia will kindly pick you up in front of a restaurant, which is an easy meeting point. This hasn't happened in my case because none of the responsible staff were available at the time I arrived. I literally arrived at the door of the riad just to see that nobody was in there and went back because I thought I was in the wrong place. I specify I wrote them on Booking, telling them the time I was gonna be there. They tried to contact me on WhatsApp the day before, but without specifying any details (such as "I'm responsible for the Archduke ryad) and I naively thought it was a scam and blocked the contact. Breakfast starts 8:30, which is a bit late (many guided visits start early), so the chance you'll miss it is very high. I stayed just one night, had the flight the day after and booked a taxi pretty early. They told me they were gonna see what they could do. I didn't receive any news so I contacted them again in the evening to ask. They told me it wasn't possible to have breakfast earlier and blamed "the lady" for the late answer, so that's why they didn't let me know sooner. 🙄 I'm sure people had a better experience, in my case I think with a little more effort things would have been a lot better, especially reading the many nice reviews they have on here.

Amazing and helpful staff, abundant and delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed and the room was dark and quiet during the night. Private bathroom!
Cons: Pretty hard to find the apartment by yourself but they will help you to get there. There is a mosque very close which will wake you up every morning around 6am for 5 mins, but it's a pretty common thing in Morocco.

We recently stayed at this beautiful riad tucked deep within the old medina of Marrakech, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. Surrounded by where locals live and go about their daily lives, it offered a genuinely authentic Moroccan experience. Despite its central location, the riad was surprisingly quiet — a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the city outside. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and full of character, exactly what we were hoping for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was Zacaria, the hotel manager. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of — from local tips to just being a warm, kind presence throughout our stay. If you're looking for a real, immersive Moroccan experience in Marrakech, I would absolutely recommend this riad.

We had an amazing time in Marrakesh thanks to the Host of this Riad, who is very friendly and helpful. He will help you get to the Riad and tell you everything you would want to know about the city. The typical Moroccan breakfast is so delicious and keeps you full for a really long time. Our room was spacious and clean, so was the bathroom. Although the Riad is located in a rather calm area of the Medina, which helps you rest after the whole day, it’s within a walking distance to the souks and the main square. We loved spending time on the terrace. If one day I come back to Marrakesh, I’m coming back right here. Highly recommend!

We arrived very early after an overnight flight. Our host Zach had us picked up at the airport. and then greeted us and helped wheel the luggage through the narrow alleys of the medina to the little hotel. And though our room wasn't yet available, he treated it us to breakfast. Over and beyond expectations!
Cons: Our mornings in the garden were on the cool side, but not unusual for February.

From the first moment we met the host we were made feeling comfortable and welcome, then gradually it became like home, somewhere you look forward to returning after long day out, it was our oasis in the middle of madness of chaos called Marrakech😄. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, every detail taken care of. We felt free and welcome to come back any time, use the kitchen and the facilities whenever we felt need for. We were impressed how Zak went above and beyond to make us feel happy in a strange place, even sharing his food and amazing smoothie with us (don't expect that, I was poorly so had an excuse 😅). Theview from the terrace, in the courtyard, the singing birds in the morning and wonderful evening with sun into our balcony were so cool. We not only had a good host but obtained a friend for life. Thank you, Zak, from the bottom of our heart, Marrakech wouldn't be the same without our beautiful riad and host ❤️🙏

Zakaria was super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fabulous, location was central right in the medina, and riad was a lovely unique experience. Do not use any other method than booking airport transfer with Zakaria. He makes it so easy. Would have been hard to find otherwise because cars are not allowed down most streets in the medina. Zakaria met us right where our transfer dropped us after 9pm and walked us to the riad where he served us cookies and juice.
Cons: Nothing but you have to be open minded when staying in a riad in such a lovely city. There can be a bit of noise if you are right in the medina but it’s so worth it for the authentic experience.

It was well positioned in the medina which made it easy to get to places of interest. The breakfast was sufficient and filling. The bed was comfortable. The shared rooftop terrace was a nice place to relax.
Cons: We weren't given the room we booked which should have had a ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was outside the room and could be used by all the guests. It also smelt really bad and wasnt very clean. The room we had was cheaper than the one we stayed in and after 3 days of complaining we were refunded the difference. We wouldn't stay here again.

The property is within walking distance of the main square and conveniently close to everything. The room is also spacious. The host was very welcoming, offering cookies and tea upon my arrival, and was friendly throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious, but I only had it once, even though I stayed for three nights, because I had morning day trips. Breakfast isn’t served until 8:30 a.m., so it would be more convenient if it started at 8 a.m., allowing guests to enjoy it before being picked up for day trips, which usually happens between 8:20 and 8:40 a.m.
Cons: The location is a bit hard to find at first, and I felt it could be unsafe for a solo traveler to navigate the maze of alleys. A man followed me all the way back to my guesthouse, even after I told him I could manage on my own using my map. He continued to follow me and, once I arrived, blocked the entrance, demanding money before he would let me in. I had to call the guesthouse host for assistance because I refused to pay him. This man kept wandering around the narrow alleys, and I saw him each time I passed by. He repeatedly attempted to talk to and follow me. Additionally, if you plan to go on a day trip in the morning, this place may not be ideal, as breakfast isn’t served until 8:30 a.m., while day trips typically begin around 8:15–8:30 a.m. I stayed for three nights but only had breakfast on one day since the host mentioned it wasn’t possible to serve breakfast before 8:30 a.m

Booking went smoothly, and I’d like to immediately point out the great work of the administrator. After making the reservation, we exchanged contacts and were offered a transfer. The driver met us and took us to the entrance of the medina, where we were greeted by Zakaria, the administrator, who explained the way. It’s not easy to find such a place right away, but the administrator began giving us directions in advance, so we could easily navigate during daylight and reach the spots we needed. Upon arrival, we were offered tea and sweets. The next morning, the administrator gave us SIM cards and explained where and how to top them up. We were planning to buy tickets in advance for the Yves Saint Laurent Garden, but the online payment didn’t work. Zakaria kindly offered to pay for the tickets with his card, which helped us a lot. Other than that, there were no issues, except that our room had a malfunctioning air conditioner. I definitely recommend staying here.

Cons: The fake tiles (wallpaper) was a deception The room downstairs can have some disturbance of talks and calls

Zak was amazing and made me feel at home. He made sure that I felt safe and was taken care of as a solo female in the busy Marrakesh. The room was comfortable, in the quiet, and close location to the medina. Wish I stayed longer. Thank you Zak!

We are very grateful to Zachary and his family who were very welcoming, helpful and made us feel comfortable during our stay. We enjoyed the delicious food and the pretty balcony. Would recommend it for your stay.
Cons: The water pressure of the shower was changing, so you have to adjust it. The towels could have been replaced.

I had the most wonderful time during my stay here. Zakaria and his family were so very kind and hospitable towards me; I've travelled extensively and have never experienced friendliness like it. The riad is lovely, very comfortable and perfectly placed to explore Marrakesh. I couldn't recommend Archduke private rooms highly enough. If you're looking for authentic Morocco, here it is. Thank you Zakaria and your lovely wife for an unforgettable stay.

Beautiful and quiet accommodation managed by supper attentive and friendly host. Comms were one of the best ever on Booking.com and WhatsApp messages in particular were dealt with very efficiently. I'm grateful for the arrangement of three early, one super early, breakfasts and all the help and attention I received during my seven night stay. Also, this has to be one of the most amazing value for money accommodations in the whole of Marrakesh. One really great experience!

Zachary was the best best host! He was so welcoming and friendly, excellent english, helped me with anything I needed. Breakfast was yummy, transfer to/from airport arranged, free laundry service & printed my boarding pass. He was always available on whatsapp and his family, who lives on the property, was so sweet. I extended my stay with them and as a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable the whole time.
Cons: the only negative was my bathroom drain had an odor due to lack of ventilation.

We liked it so much, especially the way we were treated by our host. We already plan to come back and stay in the same place. The location was excellent for us, just at the entrance of medina. We were offered a dinner which was maybe one of the best we ate in our stay in Morocco.
Cons: The mattress in our room was a bit uneven.

Archduke private room was our first touch with Morocco and… we felt in love. Zackaria and his family made us to feel at home. First day cooked dinner for us and it was really tasty. We went with him in local market and buy a lot of herbs including special coffee with pinch of. vanilla. Really appreciate that. They are the reason to plan soon comeback in this amazing country. They care for us. Booked for us tours on very reasonable price. Always was ready to help for anything. From bottom of our hearts- THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING GESTURE❤️

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay with Zakariae and his family at Archduke. They were very hospitable, from arranging a driver to pick us up from the airport, and then meeting us to guide us to the riad, to helping us get set up with a sim card, to the delicious breakfasts, to preparing our favourite dinner in Marrakesh, to making a cake that made our birthday extra special, to all the little things in-between. Our stay with Zakariae and his family made the trip that much more memorable. We also appreciate his kindness when accommodating our request to extend our check out time when one of us got sick by allowing us to rest in another room. We will certainly be returning to Marrakesh and he and his family made us feel like we have friends in town :)

It was perfect! Apart from the fact that the room was clean, beautiful and corresponded to the pictures and the breakfast and location were excellent, I would like to emphasize the hospitality and the family of the riad. I have rarely met such accommodating and helpful people on my travels. Easy communication via Whatsapp (within a few minutes you get an answer to everything). I had a small accident on a tour and my hosts went above and beyond to support me and not "leave me alone" as a solo traveler. Even for my birthday they came up with something. Very warm and open people! The riad is not located directly on the main road but you walk through a few small alleys. This gives you a bit of a queasy feeling, but I would like to mention that there is no reason for this! I walked around alone (as a woman) at any time of day or night and always felt safe! But good thing, it is very quiet and you are still only a few minutes away from the huzzle and buzzle!
Cons: Everything was better than expected!

Loved being a bit off the beaten path, but still with plenty of quality restaurants, street foods, and shopping nearby. In the Medina, but still close by to an exit where it was easy to get taxis. There was also a very nice traditional public hammam very close by. Also, a great little store at the end of the alleyway which was the perfect place to buy water and maybe an occasional snack. The facilities were an excellent riad. The owner lives on site and was extra helpful. The included breakfast was very good, and the price was excellent.
Cons: I liked it, but it's not the perfect location for those who want to be right in the middle of the action. It was a 15-20 minute walk to many of the tourist sites like the main square and the palaces. Night owls should be aware that very late night some of the routes to that area were closed off with gates.

The owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, a lovely man. Location was great, really close to everything. Don't be put off by the alleyways you walk down to get to it, it's well lit and the people you encounter sitting outside are super friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower and a lovely touch of some nice smelling shower gel. Breakfast was lovely with the most delicious fried eggs, croissants and breads with jam. This Riad felt very authentic Moroccan and we will be recommending it to anyone who goes to Marrakech.
Cons: Guests in other rooms could be told to be a bit quieter in the mornings as the breakfast table was right outside our room so when we wanted a lie in we were woken up with loud talking right outside our door.

From start until the end of our stay It felt like home. Zakaria and his family took us in like part of their pwn family and showed us all the positives and negatives of Marrakech and Morroco in general, If u have any questions about anything dont hesitate to ask him as hes like living encyclopedia. Location couldnt be any better as u have few min walk to central square of Medina and some of the best beef skewers just a seconds away. Amazing coffe, Amazing breakfast and also amazing Morrocan dinner. U guys made us want to stay even longer than this 8 days but also made us want to come back with any given chance, I would highly recommend anyone comming to Marrakech to stay here. I work as a Manager in 5* luxury hotel and this ryiad and their hospitality made me feel like Im staying in one. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts and we will see you again.
Cons: There is not a single thing I would change, we heard some people complaining about location but guys u need to understand whole Marrakech is like a maze and after a day or two u will feel more than comfortable on streets of Marrakech.

We had our best accommodation here in all of Morocco. While we thought it unnecessary first but were glad later on, the host picked us up from a lively street to guide us through the windy streets of the Medina to the riad, a great start to the stay. While we did meet locals of different ages on our walks in and out the riad to the main street, all returned the smile and 'salam' when we met them, so we did not feel unsafe in the area. The room was clean and traditionally decorated, everything was clean and friendly. Each morning he would bring us traditional breakfast to our floor with our own table, which was delicious and another lovely touch! The owner and his wife seemed like genuinely nice people, we wish we could have stayed longer and wish them all the best for the future.
Cons: Everything was great and what we had hoped for.

Isaac and his friend are really awesome hosts. They were incredibly helpful to us. It was by far my better experience on a family owned property. If you want have a real experience in Marrakech I cannot recommend a better place to stay. I’ll give just a few examples of what he has done to us: - I asked if we could drop our luggage on his place before the checkin time. He let us checkin earlier and prepared a breakfast for us as we arrived quite early in the morning. - we asked him for restaurant recommendation and he prepared a traditional Moroccan dinner for us. I have no words to explain how well treated we were. Many Thanks Isaac.

Beautifully restored Riad, not.far from the centre of the medina. The hosts are exceptional. We arranged an airport transfer with them and the owner came to meet us to walk us to the riad. They cooked breakfast for us every morning, and a tagine one of the evenings. They happily answered our many questions as first tme visitors to Marrakesh and helped us every step of the way. Printed our boarding passes and loaned me a phone charder when mine broke. The room is beautiful and comfortable. Wifi is Excellent. I am looking forward to returning soon
Cons: The alleyways to the riad look a little dodgy, but they are well lit at night, and anyone we encountered was extremely friendly. And the host was happy to come and meet us at the end of the road in case we got lost.

Archduke private rooms are conveniently situated in the Riad Larousse neighbourhood of Marrakech … perfect for diving in and out of the souk and visiting other attractions in Marrakech. Zachary provides plenty of fuel at breakfast with eggs, an array of fresh Moroccan breads with natural honey and jams … the coffee is superlative … I’ll be back!
Cons: We thought we were going to be a bit chilly, being January … we then discovered the air-con hiding behind a carved wooden screen … we were toasty!!

It's a great place. Exceptional value! Our room was spacious and clean and it has enough light, WiFi is fast, terrace is cozy, location is very convenient to discover the city. The bathroom has hot water straight away with no need to wait for ages. The breakfast is really really good with fried eggs, local bread, pastry and homemade yoghurt (love it soooo much). The premises is really good, the owner - Zachary - just far beyond the expectations. He shared his homemade dinner with us- which is sooo sweet not only because the food is really good, but also because one of us was ill and there is nothing better than to have a home food to get well. I am really grateful for the hospitality and with no doubt recommend this place.
Cons: It's a bit tricky to find for the first time, but the owner sent me detailed instructions, so felt a bit lost only few meters. Do not hesitate to contact him in chat! In Google maps follow to Spa Parfums d'Orient and from there take a narrow pass which will lead you directly to the hotel. The description of the room in booking.com wasn't clear enough for me with the aspect that it has a shared bathroom and not private one, or that was me who didn't read carefully))) But anyway the shared bathroom is super clean (like I have at home) and in reality is used by one room only.

Staying with Zakaria was really really great! We felt right at home with him and his family. With his caring personality his hostel is everything one should be. The breakfast is really out of this world it fed us for the whole day :) We had a lot of privacy as we were the only guests at the time and enjoyed ourselves a lot. Thank you Zakaria!

I really liked the owner, he was super welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing and tasty. The place was pretty clean. Wifi is available on the second floor the best, however in the room of the first floor the wifi wasn't good, but it was okay in the common area. The location is close to the old town. Cute rooftop
Cons: The location is a bit tricky, at the beginning it feels a bit unsafe as you go through the small streets. The rooms have bad sound resolution, so be prepared to be wakened up at 6 am with a 30-minute prayer and able to get a nap (of course this way you get a whole local experience of the old city)

Cons: All was good!

the owners are very friendly and take great care of you. they are very helpful. they are always concerned about the well-being of the guests. they are also absolutely fair and honest. the prices are cheap and absolutely fair. they help with the transport. the breakfast is varied and first class. they put a lot of effort into every aspect. the rooms are very clean and the beds are excellent. the beds are maybe a little too hard for some people. but that's a tradition in morocco. I highly recommend this hotel. if you want a good hotel in marrakech, you should take this one.
