Cons: I gave the female receptionist 200MAD for the city tax which i was 1 person staying for 3 nights which should have been a Total of ā¬7ā¢50 at ā¬2.50 per night which works out at 78.54 MAD she gave me 20MAD change and told me this was right i wasn't sure on the exchange rate until I checked when I got home so she kept the extra 102MAD. The food was lovely however your limited on choice they seemed to be out of stock of most things

Cons: The breakfast was very plain, not too many options. Just egg, pancakes, bread etc. No fruits, vegetables, meat options or variety of juices. Felt like we could have gone without... The shower wasn't the best, water wasn't flowing properly. The hotel is VERY far from the center so just bare in mind, you will have to get a taxi everywhere... There wasn't much to do around us and the food options were poor... Also, there isn't much privacy in your room, as we could hear others in their room, almost like you're staying at someone's home.

Cons: the list is unfortunately long: - none of the three lamps by the bed (one floor lamp, two bedside lamps) worked - the rain shower in the shower was defective, the shower head for the hand shower could not be fixed to the holder - the toilet seat was not screwed down and you had the feeling of sitting right next to it - there is a fridge in the suite, but there is a sign at the entrance to the accommodation saying that you cannot bring food or drinks into the accommodation. It would be helpful to be advised of this when booking, as the prices for coffee, cola and other drinks were completely overpriced by Moroccan standards - our meal took two hours from ordering until it was on the table, the wine was brought after 30 minutes, although there were only 6 guests in the restaurant. The quality of the Dinner was Not Even good. Chicken from the Grill dry and meatballs Almost tasteless. - dogs in the Surroundings barked during the night, so sleep was not very good.

Spent 4 nights here and enjoyed each one. The hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful, conveniently close to Marrakesh with easy hotel-taxi service, but still in a quiet spot out of the hustle and bustle. The staff were incredible - very attentive and friendly. One review mentioned a lack of English-speaking skills, however we did not find this to be the case whatsoever. The food was lovely; we chose to eat in the hotel several times.

The staff are amazing and incredibly friendly especially Saad and one other staff (we forgot the name). The hotel room was nice and clean but the bathroom needs to be more modern and there was not much water coming from the shower head. The food was really good and everything was homemade. Overall the staff were always polite and made everyone smile.

We loved everything about this place! The staff were wonderful and kind, and did everything they could to help us, despite the language barrier. Within less than 5 minutes of being in the pool there would be a towel on the sun lounger. The bar was great and the pool was the perfect size. The food was always excellent. We ate breakfast at the hotel everyday and sampled the lunch and dinner menus on various occasions. Although the location was further from the centre than I had realised, it allowed a more peaceful experience compared to the buzz of the medina, and the staff organised taxis for us so the distance was no issue. They were doing renovations while we were there but it was done in such a way that we were never disturbed or impacted. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone!

Loved how the property was out of town. The hustle and bustle of Marrakech was exciting but wouldnāt have wanted to stay in the middle of it. Was a welcome break staying in the hotel. The pool made the trip for us. Marrakech was very hot so being able to chill and cool down by the pool in the afternoon was the best bit for us.
Cons: Staff were very pleasant. Was nothing wrong with them. But being such a small hotel it meant when we arrived there were no other guests there. We were confused by this but couldnāt really speak to the staff as some of their English wasnāt the best. Would have been nice to have had English speaking staff on arrival to explain how the hotel works (breakfast, where the other guests are etc). However having said this, it was a Sunday night so I donāt want to be too harsh especially how good the staff were throughout the rest of the week. They went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome and at ease despite a slight language barrier.

Our room was large, comfortable and pleasant to be in. We had a terrace which was lovely to walk out onto. There was a living area with sofas and a generous wardrobe area- so much space. The pool was clean, mostly empty and a lovely temperature. The gardens surrounding the pool are lovely. The drinks menu was great, although it would be great to get wine by the glass, and the lunch menu was good for children and adults.
Cons: The evening menu was very limited and overpriced. The serivce was slow and our drinks came after the meal. However the main problem was that the hotel play loud, intrusive music all day long, from just after breakfast until 9:30pm. We found the music really unpleasant, stopping us have a normal conversation or reading a book, and it destroyed the atmosphere. We asked the staff if they could turn it down and to be fair they did but it was still loud enough to spoil what would have been a peaceful day by the pool. On the rare occaions there was no music we could hear birdsong and the rustling of trees and it was idyllic.

I arrived first night, staff were pleasant but jacuzzi I booked with room was too hot. Next day ask staff to regulate temperature and clean the jacuzzi, this did not happen. The 2 days I stay before I decided to leave the hotel and go to another costing more money disappointed I had bread no chicken was available. Also I booked the hotel specifically for a spa. No spa has led customer to book the hotel knowing the spa has not been available for last 6 months. Had to spend extra Ā£230 for another hotel to get a better experience being the first time in Marrakech. So disappointed with this hotel and believe I deserve at least half my money back.

We really felt at home at The Bird. Great pool and atmosphere. Really nice staff and delicious breakfast. We had a big clean room with a good AC. We could even use our room till our flight without being charged extra. Best stay beside a riad in Morocco.
Cons: The rain shower only had a few working jets worked and went all over the place,so we could only use the small hand shower. Also the bed was a bit too soft for us. But those are really small details.

Cons: This stay could have been very great as the location was really great and the facility was good, however due to the carelessness of the staff member working there, someone else was given the room we had already reserved and paid for. Rather than being told what the issue is, after having travelled for several hours, we had to wait in the main lobby for over 30 minutes while the staff member went to get the other guest out of our room and moved them to another room. To make matters worse, the other guest had already used the washroom and had left stuff in our room, which caused them to come collect their stuff afterwards which was very inconvenient. I really wish the staff had communicated better with us and simply apologized and just given us the other room instead of causing so much inconvenience.

It was a really lovely environment to take a break from day to day relentlessness of Morocco. The pool and breakfast were lovely. The room was clean and obviously the cleaning staff go to great pains to keep the place spotless.
Cons: Sooooo, after quite a lovely stay, a couple of little things. Attend to your building maintenance, a door that wouldn't lock, tv that wouldn't work and plaster patches in prominent places. A little bit of attention to these smallest of details would lift the properties profile. Now the biggie. WHY. Why do you have to try and rip people off at the end of a lovely stay. We were presented with additional 'taxes'. Not tourist and property taxes that we are well aware of, but, The Bird, self imposed taxes. This just annoyed us and every other guest who was aware of this sleight of hand. In fairness they did reverse the charges very quickly when questioned albeit with some animosity. Secondly, the menus do not include sales taxes nor is it fairly highlighted, so buyer beware. I would expect better treatment than this from an organization that promotes themselves as high end.

it was absolutely beautiful! from the drive in the pool and rooms. great hospitality as well especially from Simon and Taha.

The servants were very friendly, The pool and the lighting of the location very great and beautiful.
Cons: The owner of the hotel charged us a wrong bill of one drink that we had at the bar, at the moment of check out he was not capable of communication and justified himself that it was a tax but it was wrong. The price of the drinks were different on the card and bill. It is not about the 10ā¬ , its about the fact that he was not capable of communication. Secondly, the room was very cold. We are January, and I m well aware that its very cold that time of the year in the evening, but we were in other hotels and the room was well heated. They had a clima machine, and I could turn it up to warm, but there was still cold wind coming out on the sides,straight to our heads, since it was next to the bed. Plus it was impossible to let it on the whole night since it made a lot of noice. We slept at the Refuge at Mount Toupkal, I can tell this room here at The Bird was 1000% colder. We had a slepless night. I would have appreciated if they would have suggested something that warms up on the bed or even changed the room upstairs in the hotel(since we had a room that was seperated from it, very beautiful from outside!) even if I had ro pay a bit more. Its a pity, because the hotel is verh beautiful , and its in a very calm area.

everything was amazing the staff all the way to the facilities. the garden is set up beautifully and all staff and owner himself were really nice and made us feel at home. which is what this place felt like. a home away from home.
