We loved our bungalow room in the pretty walled garden. The pool area is very nice and the heated pool was welcome in November. Great breakfast, which is brought to your room. We enjoyed the dinners at the hotel on the two nights we stayed. The staff were delightful - friendly, attentive and with a great service style.

Cons: A very minor point in an otherwise great stay, but we found the beds a bit hard and uncomfortable.

Very relaxing stay, just a short drive away from the Medina. The hotel felt more like a “home from home” with incredibly attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our 2 night break there memorable.

Cons: Some small details, such as the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. However, room service was readily available.

Everything!!! We loved any aspect of the hotel. After a few days spent in the Medina (which were also great, but very intense) we loved the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. Our room/ bungalow was very well designed, the bed and sofa were really cozy. We loved the swimming pool and the garden. Any common area of the hotel was extremely well designed and decorated. The staff was very kind and attentive. We didn’t want to leave:)

Cons: A mosquito repellent for the guests dining outside in the garden would be a plus! Other than that, everything was perfect

Stayed for 3 nights after a longer stay already inside the medina, so we were ready for some quiet relaxation time. The hotel is about 30 mins from the main medina, so a great location if you want to dip in and out of the chaos of central Marrakech. The look and feel of the grounds and the accommodation gives the impression of a tranquil retreat. Staff were friendly and accommodating although not overly visible, they were on hand if needs be. The food was ok, tagines were good but there's not a huge choice of food on the menu. The accommodation is nice, maybe a tad worn in the bathrooms, but it's roomy and nicely appointed - plus there are loads of seating areas dotted all over the site, plenty of areas to sit, eat, drink and enjoy the view. The pool is stunning, loads of comfortable loungers and gorgeous planting throughout the grounds. You can also take in the lovely sunsets from the rooftop of the main reception too. The hotel is small with only 10 or 11 stand-alone rooms / African-style huts set in lovely grounds, and at the time of our stay there were very few guests. On our last day we were actually the only ones staying here, which was a bit weird and eerie. It's a very popular place to rent out entirely for families or events. We had a fabulous driver whilst we were in Marrakech which I highly recommend the hotel also knew him he's called Hassan, lovely gentle soul couldn't do enough for us!

Cons: Noise!! Every afternoon and evening there seemed to be some sort of party / event going on close by. Couldn't work out which direction it was coming from, but it sounded like a hotel with a DJ and loud music being pumped out to a roaring crowd. I asked a member of staff if this was a one-off, and he said no, it's all the time! Lying by the pool, I had to put my earbuds in to drown the music out. It wasn't too bad inside some of the buildings, but it ruined my peaceful holiday. The beds and pillows were really uncomfortable I had to ask for softer pillows and if they could somehow make the bed less hard both requests were taken care of promptly. I would also have liked a kettle in the room to make a drink, and a wider selection of food on the menu. All these areas could easily be rectified, and it could be really wonderful, just not for us.

So perfect and tranquil - we had the most wonderful time here. The rooms and grounds are stunning, it’s suuuper quiet, food and drinks are great (the breakfast is soooo good) and above all, service is impeccable. The fact that it’s a bit out of Marrakech is a welcome change from the busy centre, and the hotel is great at arranging transport for a seamless stay. Highly recommend having dinner in the garden - it was such a nice detail.

Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.

This 10-bungalow boutique hotel is excellent in every way: quiet location 20 minutes from the medina, beautiful architecture and interior design with an African touch, pleasant garden to have your meals and relax in to the sound of birds, lovely heated pool with sufficient loungers for every guest, 5* service with attentive staff, and above all, excellent food. I didn't try the massages. A small drawback: on certain evenings, the entertainment of a hotel 1 km away can be heard, but it is limited in time, precisely so as not to disturb the neighbors too much. I would gladly return to this hotel!

Cons: I mention only a small detail: propose a better espresso to the few coffee lovers. Though, that won't stop me from returning :)

Fabulous stay, we just chilled for the 3 days we were there. We stayed in Marrakesh for 2 nights & then here for 3 so we didn't bother with the transfers in/out as we had already 'done it', but i can see the attraction of staying here & just dipping into Marrakesh whenever you feel like it. The staff were excellent always smiling & helpful, we went to a neighbouring hotel for dinner one night, it was nice to get out & see the surrounding countryside but the dinner experience wasn't that great, food good but the staff were over the top, not relaxed like here. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Cons: If there had been a spa onsite i would have used it but didn't miss it & also as others have said would have been nice to make a coffee in the room - but again these things weren't missed would have just been a bonus.

Hotel Les Cinq Djellabas is the most amazing hotel - we absolutely loved our stay and are already planning a return visit. There are 10 individual beautiful lodges in the stunning grounds (we were serenaded with bird song while eating breakfast outside our lodge) and a gorgeous pool. And the staff are so kind, thoughtful and attentive. It is located a quick and easy drive from the Old Town of Marrakech so the hotel combines the exclusive restful boutique hotel vibe with being able to dip into the vibrancy and energy of Marrakech historic old town.

Cons: We didn't like that we had to leave!

Amazing staff and beautiful surroundings. Pick ups and drop offs to town were seamless. Lovely breakfast. Only a few very small negatives - menu could be slightly more varied and coffee making facilities in the room would have been appreciated. If you have a massage, have it in your room! Felt very vulnerable as people could, and did, walk in to the room we were being massaged in!!!

An exceptional stay all round- couldn’t fault anything! The hotel is so peaceful and the rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. The food is delicious- the staff are so attentive and set up a beautiful sundowner on the terrace for us and set up dinner in the garden wherever we wanted. A special shout out for Majid who gave us great recommendations for dinner in Marrakech and made sure our stay was perfect. The hotel also offer free transfers into Marrakech if you stay for three nights or more which was amazing and let us explore the city. One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed- will 100% be back!

Cons: Everything was just perfect!

This property was outstanding, from the moment you stepped out of the transfer it oozed tranquility and simple luxury. The staff were always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. We stayed in room 6 which was just beautiful, better than the photos! The private suites (huts in the gardens around the pool) had a very African feel, with wicker roofs and beautiful furniture. All amenities were provided, robes, slippers, minibar, tv etc. The only thing I would add to the room would be a coffee machine! However - breakfast was delivered to your room at whatever time suited you, where you could eat at table outside - there were pancakes and fruit and pastries, fresh Oj and hot coffee in a thermo flask (great idea!). The vibe was peaceful at all times of the day and night. There is 10 rooms so the pool area was never loud or crowded. The sunbeds were comfortable and the staff would bring drinks to the pool for you as well as serve lunch at your sunbed or set up a table in the garden for you to eat. We ate dinner both nights we stayed at the hotel. It was very romantic, candlelit in the garden. The quality of the food was suberb; we ate the keftas, the chicken and the lamb tagine, the pastilla (my favourite), the burettes and the mixed Morrocan salads. We had some lovely French wine and they made a great Virgin Mojito. I cannot fault a second of our stay at Le Cinq Dejellabas. It was such a relaxing and much needed start to our holiday in Marrakech. I will be recommending this hotel for anyone wanting to split their time between the medina and the palmerie. The hotel did also provide transfers to the medina if guests wanted to eat elsewhere of an evening, we just did not use this facility.

Cons: Nothing - except the drive to the property from the airport goes slightly off the beaten track but if you know to expect this it is not a problem.

Breakfast was fine croissants yogurt etc had to pay extra for eggs - very nice to have it outside the room very peaceful - food menu was simple and didn’t change day to day - cooking was adequate but not gourmet Pool is really beautiful - staff were lovely and very helpful - sadly the surrounding countryside was full of rubbish and scrubland - there is a water shortage there and olive trees looked like they had died - but you couldn’t see any of this once inside the hotel .

Cons: Couldn’t leave the hotel for a walk as in the middle of a wasteland with rubbish strewn everywhere

Staff and location were excellent, beautiful heated pool within stunning surroundings, villas are a lovely design.

Cons: A few issues, the a/c was very noisy , the tv picture kept freezing so couldn’t watch anything ( not that we were there to watch TV). No coffee maker in the room which was disappointing. I think the main issue we had was the loud music at night coming from a large resort nearby, we wanted peace and quiet but unfortunately there was no mention of this music when we arrived. We stayed in Villa 5 so maybe you don’t hear it with villas nearest the restaurant. Food was excellent but the menu could really do with expanding as the choice is not enough for more than a few days.

The swimmingpool The staff, everyone is very friendly The lunch in the garden.

Cons: The day we arrived, nobody has obviously checked our room before, we unpacked and after that, we discovered the sink was broken and water was floating all over the bathroom. It couldn’t be repaired immediately so after unpacking we had to pack again to move to another room, very inconvenient. The hotel is also very remote and sometimes too quiet, The garden is not really beautiful, rather small with walls around it. You have to go to the terrace to see the mountains, but there is no possibility to sit. We have asked to speak to the owner or manager but he never shows up. As a compensation they gave us the omelets we had in the morning for free, but we feel eggs should be included in the breakfast (only sweets) for the room rate you pay already.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing pool, loads of sunloungers and excellent service as we were able to order food and drinks from the pool all day. Very quiet and peaceful place to relax. Good to note: it takes about 25 minutes to get into the Medina and the cost is €40 to get there and back. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the atmosphere at this hotel was very relaxed. We had such a happy time!

Cons: The food was delicious but I think there could be more options on the menu as it gets a little repetitive if you are there for longer and not planning to leave. Also the breakfast is good but you have to pay extra for eggs which I think should be included in the price as the breakfast is quite pastry/bread heavy.

The hotel is a lovely oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town but still easy trip if you wish to dip into it. There are only 10 rooms there so always tranquil.
