Irgendwo liegt immer irgendeine.

The staff the Riad treated me like family and it felt quite genuine. The location within the Medina was perfect. It was just quiet enough and just close enough.

Cons: Breakfast was delicious though monotone after day 4. Some variability would be helpful. I was fine with my room being on the first floor though I think guests should consider that there isn’t much sound protection from either side on the first floor though.

Beautiful Riad, even better than the photos. Excellent location in the medina, you can get to the centre in 10 minutes walk but out enough to be peaceful and quiet after a long day.

We loved the off the beaten track location, the calm and peace away from the hustle bustle from the centre. Yet it was very easy to walk to the ā€œactionā€ of Marrakesh. We loved the tasteful decor and the friendly, welcoming and hospitable nature of the staff. Mourrad & Mehdi went above and beyond to look after us, in terms of giving us practical tips about the city, celebrating my partners birthday with lots of lovely little touches and just being so friendly at every hour of the day! FYI the city is full of cats, the hotel has two very well behaved and beautiful ā€œhouseā€ cats

Everything was great. Staff were extremely helpful and made our stay in Marrakech as comfortable as possible. Upon arrival we were greeted and one of the guys gave us a tour of the riad and a map with places for us to explore in the medina and before we left told us where to get the best souvenirs to bring home. We always came back to a clean room and they always made sure to check in on us to make sure everything was good. Breakfast was amazing and very filling. The location is great too as it’s a walking distance to the main square and the markets and also the new town area which we explored on our trip as well. Riad was clean and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot to the guys at the Riad

The room was lovely with lots of decorative features. The pool was a life saver! Even though it is on the small side it was perfect for cooling off after exploring during the day. The Riad was amazing, beautiful and calm inside with everything we needed. We were able to enjoy our breakfast each morning on the terrace or in an air conditioned room off the balcony, then a relaxing hour or so before we headed off to the airport after checking out with no trouble. Bedroom and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. The hosts and staff couldn’t do enough for us, were always friendly and kindly offering recommendations on places to go/eat and routes to take. Thank you!

Cons: We walked the entirety of our stay in Marrakech so if you don’t mind that then the Riad is perfect. If you’re slightly less able, you may need to take a short taxi ride to the Souks/Medina centre.

A beautiful riad in a quiet residential part of the old town within easy walking reach of many of the main places of interest . For sites further afield there are taxis nearby. But what made the riad so special were the outstanding staff who were so welcoming .They were always happy to help and also provided tea and a great breakfast on the rooftop terrace . They always had a smile .On a couple of occasions we were too tired after miles of walking around the medina to search for a restaurant for our evening meal and the riad provided a lovely home cooked meal on the rooftop terrace one night and ordered a takeaway for us on another.

The entire accomodation and staff impressed us from start to finish. They catered to all our needs, providing us for a packed breakfast for days we needed to be up early and gave us a detailed explanation of the area and where not to go. The staff even walked us to the main road into the centre on the first night of our stay. The facilities were tidy and no request was an issue. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakesh for the first time and if I ever return I hope to stay here again.

Cons: Nothing at all, all our needs were catered to.

The Riad was beautiful, clean and serene. The staff were absolutely lovely and pointed out landmarks to help us navigate our way to attractions and back to the Riad. It was in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle outside. Mourat, Mouad and Abderrahman were kind and ever so helpful!

Cons: Not necessarily a negative, but it was about 15min walk away from the souks and attractions.

I’m not sure where to start… from the moment we got picked up at the airport to the moment we were dropped off again, we had such an amazing experience. Every single member of staff were so helpful and chatty, all of them were willing to go above and beyond to help us. We had an excursion one day, so we were missing our breakfast, and as we were leaving the Riad, a bag with our name and a packed breakfast was waiting for us! We also loved the Riad cats- Hagrid and Bryan! Views from the terrace were amazing, we sat out every night of our stay and watched the sunset. The room was great, perfect for our needs and the bed was very comfortable. We were in such a good location for all of the main attractions of the Medina. We can’t recommend this Riad enough- it definitely made our holiday extra special!

The accomodation and staff (especially Mourad) is beyond amazing. Everything looked even prettier than in the pictures. Mourad was always available (in person or via whatsapp) for any questions and helped us out many times, from bringing us to a restaurant in the night or serving us fresh mint tea in the late evening (which was the best tea of our entire trip). The room was very clean and cozy, breakfast was fresh and delicious and we loved enjoying it on their beautiful terrace with the best Marrakesh views and the Atlas Mountains in the background. I highly recommend their airport shuttle, which we used both ways, it was really reliable. We are looking forward to our next trip and will come back for sure. Thank you for everything!

Staff were incredibly accommodating, gracious, and helpful. Upon arrival at airport we were met by driver who dropped us off at the appropriate gate, and in turn met by host who accompanied us to Riad. We arrived quite early (long before check-in) and we were welcome to partake of full breakfast which was plentiful and delicious!) on the terrace prior to our room being readied. Orientation and directions to various sights by staff was clear and comprehensive. All in all, a great experience!

Riad Chameleon is a wonderful property. We had clear communication from Tony from the beginning, this felt really special. Riad itself is so beautiful. From the sunrise on the terrace to being surrounded by the white and blue architecture of the Riad. The lush green plants in the Riad, absolutely stunning! Our room was extremely spacious. The Riad itself is in a perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Muhammed, Murad and Nordin(apologies if I spelt your names wrong) are extremely helpful and gave us clear instructions to find our way around the medina. Our stay at this beautiful riad was truly special! The staff were outstanding – incredibly attentive and always doing their utmost to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for. The rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful retreat with lovely views. The location is wonderfully quiet, perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. A small note: don’t be put off by the walk to the riad. You’ll pass through some darker alleys, but they lead to this enchanting and serene spot. Overall, a charming stay with incredible hospitality!

Cons: One thing to consider: if you’re not a fan of cats or sensitive to their presence (or potential smells), this might not be the best fit. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it could be a challenge for those with allergies

This was the first riad we stayed at during our Morocco visit. The driver and riad host were both very friendly, showing us how to navigate to the souks. However, the walk to the souks wasn’t pleasant due to heavy motorcycle traffic and pollution. The room and bed were spacious enough for two people with four carry-on bags. It was quiet, with a nice rooftop breakfast.

Cons: Pricey… After completing our road trip, we realized that for the price we paid, we could have found a better location and riad (bigger room)

Riad Chameleon was the highlight of our trip to Morocco ( a high bar given we started in the beautiful Imlil). The Riad itself is beautiful, and has what money can't buy - atmosphere! All the staff and the owner himself were delightful. To my shame I cannot remember the name of one of the staff, but he was a bald man and terrifically helpful. Perhaps the ultimate highlight of our stay however was meeting Morad. We were blessed enough to have him looking after us during our stay. We have been lucky enough to travel to many places around the world, but Morad is certainly one of our most favourite staff members. What a diamond !

Cons: The only small issue was the internet, which I believe was having troubles during our stay and is generally very reliable.

We loved our stay at Riad Chameleon. The staff here really made the place stand out from our other stays. It was my fourth time staying at Riad Chameleon - this time for my honeymoon. It was wonderful to see all the staff again, and staying at the riad was the perfect introduction to Marrakech for my husband. We were both so impressed with the staff - everyone is so friendly and they go over and above to make you feel comfortable and at home. They were really thorough in going through the medina map with us and even giving us a phone to call them if we needed. It is difficult to summarise in a few words our experience in the Riad Chameleon. From the wonderful breakfast to the comfortable and clean rooms, it is hard to say what is the best aspect. A beautiful riad with everything you need in Marrakesh. The highlight of this place is the staff definetively. They were so kind and made us feel like it was our home, even for a couple of days. They give you a initial, very complete, introduction to the city, to guide you in the Medina, the city, and also to avoid possible scams or touritic traps. Pay attention to this instructions so you can get back to the hotel though the labyrinth of the medina. Breakfast was complete and home made. We went during summer, the place is so well built that you barely feel the warm weather even outside your air conditioned room.

Cons: Although the place inside is very cool, comfy, and that the staff told us everything around there is safe. The surrounding areas may be a bit scary if you are not used to and also lonely/dark. The main entrance to the Medina in this zone is crowded as one market is located there (recommended to accept the offer from the riad to pick you up from the airport) also a bit difficult to find if you have not been in te medina before.

Riad Chameleon is a beautifully tranquil place to stay. From the scent of jasmine in the evenings to the generously proportioned rooms and relaxing pool it's a lovely place to stay. The thing we enjoyed most however, was the kindness and hospitality of the young gentlemen running the riad; Mourad, Azzedine and Nourdine. We had great conversations with them and learnt more about their culture and life in Morocco than on any tour. They worked very hard, in fact tirelessly to ensure all guests enjoyed their stay. If the management read this, they deserve a salary increase because they are doing great work. Thanks again to the wonderful staff at Road Chameleon, we'll always remember our stay.

Cons: Of the two riads we stayed in during our time in Marrakech, we found Riad Chameleon to be a little further out than the other. This meant walking back from the locations such as Jema el fnaa took a little longer. That being said, there are several handy taxi pick-up/drop-off points and it's also more convenient for travel outside of the medina. Regarding breakfast, it was very prompt, nicely served and presented and coffee was nice but it wasn't our favourite. Fresh orange juice, rather than store bought orange drink would be a good start. But really, by this point we had been quite spoilt by amazing riad breakfasts and fresh mesemen from local places.

There is maybe little we can add to the so many positive reviews on this fabulous gem of the Marrakesh medina. We stayed 4 nights and the quality of the service exceeded our expectations, it was our haven of peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The ryad is full of character, we particularly enjoyed the courtyard and pool, the varied and tasty breakfast served on the rooftop (stunning view at sunset!) and the company of the adorable resident cats Hagrid and George (they are girls, despite their names!) Our rooms were super clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. However, the true value added of the place are the staff. Friendly, attentive and caring as well as professional. We were greeted by Mourad who met us at the nearest gate and walked us to the ryad. Here, over a cup of gorgeous mint tea and cakes, we were shown the map of the medina and given useful tips to navigate the area. Throughout our stay Mourad, Azddine, Noureddine and Ilyas could not do enough to make us feel welcome, relaxed and happy, always with a smile. We were particularly touched by the surprise they organized for my birthday. We genuinely felt at home, not just guests. Highly recommended.

Cons: Nothing. The ryad is not very central, we found it easier to walk the short distance to the nearest gate and grab a taxi to move around.

The property was very beautiful as a lovely traditional riad, the rooms were very clean with alot of space and a very nice en suite. The staff were above and beyond very friendly, helpful and welcoming, always there for help if needed e.g directions, local knowledge and even walked with us when we were unsure of where we were going. Breakfast was also 10/10 serving a traditional Moroccan style breakfast that was delicious. Overall would definitely recommend.

Cons: The WiFi connection is not very good, normally this might not be an issue but since mobile data also does not work well in the medina, meant we could not really use our phones during our stay which was a shame as we could only rarely access the internet meaning plan making was difficult and/or relaxing.

The Riad is lovely a real oasis from the busy streets of Marrakech. Our room was really lovely and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a real treat.

Cons: My only issue is that it is hard to find. We were meet by a member of staff and walked the from the medina gate. But when we went out by ourselves it was tricky to find our way back on the narrow streets. So a few sign posts would be helpful. Or a map of the narrow surrounding streets.

My stay at Riad Chameleon in Marrakesh was nothing short of extraordinary, marking the best customer service experience l've ever had while traveling. From the moment we arrived, Mohamed, Mourad, and Azedin went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality was unparalleled; they personally guided us through the intricate souks to ensure we didn't get lost. Mohamed's dedication was particularly impressive, as he accompanied us outside the Medina to wait for our transfer to the Agafay desert and even helped us find a taxi when we checked out to move to another riad. (Al thought i didnt want to leave riad chameleon) The entire staff was phenomenal, but these three hosts truly made us feel like part of their family. Their respectfulness, attention to detail, and genuine care were remarkable. Riad Chameleon itself is stunning and spotless. The cleanliness was impeccable, and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The bed was delightful, and the bathroom was large, modern, and very clean. We loved relaxing by the swimming pool and enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. We booked 2 nights at Riad Chameleon and 2 nights at another riad. While the other riad was lovely and the owners were nice, we regretted not staying all 4 nights at Riad Chameleon. After having the best experience here, anything else seemed to pale in comparison. I cannot recommend Riad Chameleon enough. I fell in love with Morocco, and this riad will undoubtedly be my go-to place to stay every time I visit Marrakesh. An absolute must for anyone seeking an authentic and exceptional Moroccan experience. Maria London

Thanks to the rest of the staff for your service and warm welcome. Keep going, and I hope to see you again in the future. Highly recommend.

Our first time in Marrakesch was really a great experience, thanks to the amazing team of the Riad. I was a little bit nervous at first, but Mourad helped us with everything. He showed us the right routes, recommended some places and even picked us up at the beginning. We always felt safe and welcome. The breakfast was great, we loved the tea and everything was clean. Our evenings in the Riads we're also nice. We talked a lot with the guys. We also had a problem with the next accommodation and so we could come back to the riad and ist was like coming home.I can totally recommend the Riad, it was a lovely stay and when we ever come back to Marrakesch we will stay at the Riad Chameleon again.

The staff was super friendly and very open to answering any questions we had. I would definitely recommend booking their transportation from airport to Riad as the streets are hard to navigate and can be hard to find but the staff gives you an overview on how to get around. They even have afternoon tea with cookies when requested. Will definitely stay here if I come to Marrakech again. Thank you again for the wonderful stay 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Chameleon. They arranged a transfer from our other Riad in Marrakech, and it was the most comfortable ride in a very nice car. A member of staff came to pick us up and showed us where the Riad was located. We got the warmest welcome from the entire staff (including the lovely cats – Brian Longlegs will be talked about in years to come). Everyone at the Riad was so kind and helpful to show the best way to get to the main attractions. The Riad is absolutely beautiful! Our spacious room was located on the ground floor, but it was very quiet during the night. Breakfast was fine and during our last night the staff arranged a three course dinner for us which we enjoyed on the rooftop terrace (the view is stunning!). A member of staff arranged the same driver again for our transfer to the airport. We would definitely come back to Riad Chameleon if we are going back to Marrakech!

Cons: We noticed less tourists where this Riad is located. There are still some of other riads around and we didn’t feel unsafe, but it seemed like a less busy area for tourists. The pool is nice and refreshing, but because it’s located next to the reception we only used it for a quick dip.

The riad looks amazing, it is a little oasis in the middle of the busy Medina! The staff were lovely, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! They really made us feel like part of their family! They helped with a lot of information about the city and the people and they were very open and honest! Loved this place and I wish I had more holiday days to spend here! I will definitely come back here next time I am in Marrakech! 10/10

An absolutely fantastic stay! The property is intimate and beautiful, but the highlight is definitely the care that the staff take to make your stay enjoyable. Murad and Ilyas treated us like family. They explained the area, where to go/what to do, even gave us a little phone in case we needed any help in the medina. They were always happy to cater to any needs and were so welcoming. The rooftop breakfasts are lovely and any trips can be arranged by the riad. The location is slightly away from the centre but very safe. Would definitely recommend!

Everything about Riad Chameleon was wonderful. It's set in the heart of the Medina, only a 10 minute walk from the hussle and bussle but down a side street, so it's quiet during the night. Walking through the door is like walking into a tranquil paradise. The staff are so welcoming and lovely, always on hand to help with anything they can. Mourad met us from the airport transport and walked us to the Riad. He then sat us down with delicious mint tea and pastries whilst he showed us on the map the best areas to visit and routes to take. We were even given a mobile phone especially to contact the Riad if we got lost or needed help. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower hot and powerful and the aircon very welcome in the 36c heat. The pool was freezing, but it was great to jump into after a day wandering round the hot and busy Medina. We were encouraged to use the Riad as if it was our home, which made us feel so welcome and relaxed. I honestly can't say enough good things about the place. Thank you Mourad and the rest of the lovely staff for making our trip so special. We'll definitely be back.

Communication prior to arrival with Tony (owner) was very good. Onsite staff very helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. Provision of a mobile phone in case of emergency was reassuring. Location was convenient (usually about a 20 min walk) to most attractions in the Medina.

Cons: Collection from airport was a bit stressful because no one turned up. Quite difficult to sort out with the Riad/Tony. Poor security . Keys to all rooms were left in our room and no one realized until we brought it to their attention. Would be nice to have some shade in the morning to have breakfast. Everybody (not just us) was finding it very hot sitting in the sun with no shade. False impressions from the owners website: 1. That they live there - they don't, they live in the UK 2. The staff employed are all long term - nearly all the people we met were students employed in the last few months.

The riad itself was beautiful and clean and we did enjoy our stay in the room aswell. Its a bit further from centre medina but thats what it made so quiet and peaceful during the stay. Also the staff at the riad were very helpful!

Cons: The only thing that happened at our stay was the missout of water for 2 days- but that wasn’t hotels fault but probably caused by ramadan period. It would have been nice to know in advance that this might happen:)

I am honestly lost for words at how incredible our stay at Riad Chameleon has been and me and my partner are devastated to be leaving. We received the best service and hospitality we have ever encountered at any establishment we have stayed. From the moment we landed in Marrakech we were looked after, taxis and transfers organised, dinner reservations at wonderful restaurants booked for us, unlimited tea and coffee and someone always on hand to answer any questions we had or to give advice. Oftentimes one of the staff would walk us to where we wanted to go. The riad is genuinely stunning, always clean, has the most wonderful breakfast/sunset views on the terrace and smells of jasmine. Please ensure you book your stay whilst these wonderful group of staff are working here, I promise it will be worth your while. Mourad x2, Azeddin, Nourddin and Idir, we just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay in Marrakech so incredible. We will miss you and can’t wait until we come back. We won’t stay anywhere else in Marrakech and don’t think we will ever be able to find this sort of wonderful service again. If you are looking between a few riads comparing and wondering which one to book, TRUST me and book this riad. You will not regret it

To leave a 10 star review would still under rate the experience I had at this beautiful riad. The whole experience, quality, and expectation of the raid pysically far exceeded the pictures. This place is stunning with an amazing location and safety that allowed me to keep my door open, unlocked, and my hair down! I felt at home. By day two there was no need to leave haha this is what I flew half way around the world for (if I couldn't find the Land Cruiser to overland North Africa!)Ā  pet the cats, relax, read, tea, great staff connection, philosophize a bit, good sleep, great breakfast- repeat! Most IMPORTANT at this moment is the amazing team of guys working this hidden gem 24/7. From the second I arrived, as a solo girl traveling, I was blown away by their genuila hospitality and ability to run this place like you are their only care in the world. I observed this with each and every guest over and over and over. I'm quite hard to please, I love the Four Seasons Resorts around the world. When I want exceptional, I step into that hospitality connection/experience in world travel. Not for the rooms-- for the most exceptional top service talent in hospitality and that perfect interaction with a curated staff around each corner I turn. That is basically not around anymore unless you are in the private jet category of hospitality. So, how did I find that EXCEPTIONAL team of talent among this group? It IS tucked away in the walls of this riad. It's a mystery, but the recipe is exactly right with this team right now! My hat's off to the 24/7 watch of Mourad managing this property and the other top talent. Each of these guys: Azeddin, Mourad (2) Idir and Nourddin manage and step up to the plate NONSTOP -- never missing a genuine beat! Again, I've only had this level of a team at Four Seasons Resorts. I could sit and list out all the value each of this guys brings to this riad, but it would ridiculous to list it all.

Cons: I have more EXCEPTIONAL to state: You guys Azeddin, Mourad (2), and Idir you guys are hospitality rockstars!! You guys make this place what it is!! Thank you for being wonderful and never stop connecting, singing, breaking bread, and smiling with guests! Keep dancing my friends your spirits shake the walls of this place! Visit this A+++ riad while this team works here!!! Cheers again to Mourad (the amazing manager!), Azeddin, Mourad, Idir, and Nourddin! Let these guys keep making the great guest connection-- they bring value and are great at it.

Cons: I liked all about the property!

Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the riad, comfortable large room and nice breakfast in the morning. The staff are especially helpful, kind and friendly; in particular, one of the staff Idir met us when we arrived, gave us lots of helpful information and went through a map of how to get around Marrakech and what to look out for. He even walked with us at first so we could get used to the routes, which was very nice of him. The other staff like Mourad were also always friendly and approachable. They also give you an emergency phone that can be used to contact them. We had a great time staying here and definitely recommend it!

We honestly had the best holiday ever at Riad Chameleon! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by the staff and they felt like family to us. They walked us to our restaurants if we were unsure where to go, organised all our reservations and made sure we were safe at all times. We were even provided with a small local phone to contact them if we needed them. The team kindly decorated the room for my boyfriend's birthday and even bought him a lovely chocolate cake which we got to enjoy in their company. The place itself is immaculate, beautiful and so peaceful. It is a real bliss outside the hectic medina. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and also traditional. The roof terrace was so glorious, especially for Moroccan mint tea or the morning breakfast (which is so filling and tasty!) Every morning we were greeted with a smile by all the team and the hospitality was just nothing like we have ever experienced before. Both Mourad's (x2), Azdinne, Nourddine and Idir were all such lovely people, always going above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that everything was perfect. Thank you to you all - you made our trip and we are so grateful! We were so sad to leave and would have stayed a lot longer if we could. We will definitely be back and we will recommend this Riad and the staff for years to come. Thank you so much again for allowing us to stay in your wonderful country :)

We have just returned from a five night stay at Riad Chameleon and could not recommend it enough. We arranged a transfer from the airport through the team and when we arrived at the medina gate, Mourad and Youssef were there to meet us and take us back to the riad. Mourad then took the take to gove us directions and tips and even walked us part of the way to Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was a particular highlight, everything was fresh and there was something new to try each day. Our room was spotless and decorated beautifully, as were the communal areas. The team at the riad were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. They were welcoming, helpful and friendly - a huge thank you to Idir, Mourad, Mourad, Youssef, Fatima and Nourdin for making our stay so special. Thank you so much. Alice and Joe (Manchester, UK)

Beautifully appointed riad int the northern medina, about 15 minutes walk from the central souks, and closer to the less touristy but equally vibrant areas where the locals live and shop. The young staff were exceptional, always available, friendly, and with good advice on the joys and potential pitfalls of Marrakech. They met us at the Medina gate, carried our bags and organised the cab for our return to the airport. Plenty of space within the riad, on various levels, to chill out, with great views across the city from the two rooftop terraces.

Cons: Nothing, really.

Our stay at Riad Chamaleon was beyond wonderful. The guys (Mourad, Mourad and Idir) were incredibly attentive, thoughtful and welcoming. They made sure that we were really well looked after and that we were safe within Marrakesh and were available at all times. They picked us up from outside of the Medina walls, and gave us a phone to contact them anytime, and were happy to liaise with any operators for activities we had booked on our behalf. The Riad was beautiful and really comfortable, and the dinner we had was exceptional. We were really happy to learn so much about Berber and Moroccan culture thanks to the guys and are so looking forward to coming back again! Additional perks: two very friendly cats, Hagrid and George.

Riad Chameleon left such wonderful memories for us. To begin with our room (Nomad) was lovely – very clean, adorned with a beautiful wall rug, and cosy. There was always hot water. There was daily bed service, and the shower gel and shampoo were replenished every day. This was the only place where we stayed in Morocco where breakfast is served throughout the whole morning without a limit on time. The breakfast was plenty and always included fresh fruit and various delicious local breads and cakes. The riad’s rooftop terrace is spacious and beautiful, filled with many plants. We had breakfast, dinner and just chilled out there after breakfast or in the afternoon. The three resident cats – Brian, George and Hagrid – are an integral part of the charm of the riad. Tony - the owner of the riad - was very responsive before and throughout our visit and answered our questions quickly and in a friendly manner. It is very convenient that there is the option to pay for the accommodation via bank transfer. The location of the riad was perfect for us as we didn’t want to be in the busiest part of the medina. The riad is very close to one of the gates so it is quick to get to your transport when going on a day trip. We love walking and exploring and the location allowed us to experience the more authentic part of the medina rather than just its touristic centre. The team working at Riad Chameleon is exceptional. They are attentive, hardworking, and friendly young men who made our visit not just easy, but also special. We arrived later in the evening than initially expected, but that was not an issue. Nour met us at the medina gate, where we were dropped off, with a big smile and carried our bags to the riad while taking the time to explain the route to us.

Fantastic Riad, such a beautiful oasis of calm in the busy medina. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax. Mourad and the others were so helpful and made sure we had a never ending supply of mint tea :)

Cons: The beds were quite hard, not a problem for us but bear in mind if you have a bad back! Was quite a long walk from the main attractions. We had an amazing stay at Riad Chameleon, and that stay would not have been that great without all the people we met there. Younes, Nourdine, Mourad, Ilyas and Fatima did everything they could to make us feel at home and even more. They were always available to help us for whatever we needed, in addition to being super kind wi to us. They made our experience in Marrakech very unique. Riad Chameleon was more about human experience than facilities and breakfast in the end (even though the Riad and services provided were great too!). We really enjoyed our stay at the Riad. We felt really comfortable and taken care of. We've booked a transfer from the airport and even when at the airport everything was going extremely slow the driver was patiently waiting for us. Usually I would go to a hostel, but as travelling with the girlfriend who had reservations about hostels I thought she would like a riad better and she did. The riad seems to provide a more one to one atmosphere, also with the staff who had time to help you in any way they could. Introduction and welcome sweets were a nice touch. There are playful cats around the place. There is communal space for socialising, a saloon and games room too. A few sun loungers are up top as well, if you wanted a quiet holiday much time could be spent at the riad. The lighting downstairs and antiques around the place are highly aesthetic. The breakfast included mixed fruit like bananas, strawberries and pomegranate seeds that went well with the yogurt. The place has been renovated recently and does not have the shabby, dusty interior you might find in other more established riads. The beds were good.

Cons: The stairwells offer poor headroom and are dark unless lights are on. The door handles and locks are basic stable door type with a padlock, fiddly. Smoke from the fire drifts around the top levels where the tables are when lit. Probably better for groups and couples as quiet otherwise opposed to hostels. Location is in the northern medina away from the main tourist areas that seem to be to the south of the square. The pool area downstairs, although nice to have, is in a public area at the front of reception. Finding the place is tricky the first few times, better signage would help, it is off an alleyway halfway down a tunnel!

Beautiful riad, wonderful staff, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We felt right at home immediately and truly felt relaxed each evening. We walked everywhere we went around the Medina. Great food nearby and we felt safe the entire time. Beautiful views from the rooftop, plentiful breakfast included, and great atmosphere overall. We would absolutely return and stay again, and we hope to!!

The staff are amazing, so attentive and helpful at every turn. The rooms are really comfortable and have everything you could need!

Cons: It was maybe a little far from the medina centre, so we ended up out all day where we may have gone back to freshen up before dinner if we were a tiny bit closer. Still walkable from everything though!

I have chosen Riad Chameleon because of the latest reviews about the stuff and indeed the current team is the most remarkable stuff team we have ever experienced. From the moment they met us on the parking until the moment we left, we felt like we were genuinely welcomed. They were going beyond any expectations and we felt like we were staying at friends. The Riad itself is very comfortable and esthetically furnished. The beds are very comfortable, it’s exceptionally clean and the entire Riad smells of jasmine. It has a wonderful terrace on the roof where a tasty breakfast is served. We stayed 3 nights and it was a bit different every morning. I would highly recommend this Riad, especially because of the wonderful team who is attending to you over your visit.

Everything was fantastic! The staff couldn't do enough, so welcoming and warm and nothing was too much trouble. Mourad, Younes and Nourdine are great people, always making sure the Riad runs smoothly. Breakfast was lovely on the roof terrace, good choice, something for everyone. The room was great, clean, comfortable and everything you needed was provided. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot.Nothing was too much trouble. Mourad and Younes even met us from the taxi carrying our cases to show us the way to the Riad, they explained everything in detail and made our stay even better. They even provided us with a phone to call them if we got lost in the Medina. We had such a good time it was sad to leave.

Cons: There really was nothing not to like!! It was all perfect.

Our stay at Riad Chameleon was incredible! It's a beautiful building, with wonderful staff. Everything was incredibly clean, and our room had everything we could have needed. Breakfast on the terrace every morning was great, and it was quiet in the evenings. The riad organised our transfer from the airport, then Mourad and Youness met us at the Medina wall for the 5 min walk to the Riad (insisting to carry our bags). Mourad also spent time explaining the map of the Medina to us, and even walked us part way into the centre, showing us the way to go. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they sorted bottled water for us, organised a taxi to visit a town outside the centre, showed us where ATMs were, etc. Tony who owns the riad even showed us the local mosque on our last day as we were killing time before our flight. We're used to staying in hostels, so this treatment was a real shock for us! Thank you Mourad, Youness, Nourddine, Fatima and everyone else at the Riad for taking such good care of us!

Cons: Nothing at all - wouldn't hesitate to recommend Riad Chameleon to anyone visiting Marrakech!

The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, especially we would like to mention Mourad =) We really appreciate his efforts during our stay. The Riad might not be easy to find in the 1st place, but the staffs for sure will help you out during the orientation. And they will provide you a mobile phone for you during your stay, so whenever you need help, you can just call. It is around 15mins walking distance until the souks and around 18-20mins until Jemma El-Fnaa square. We considered the riad at a good location because it is just right outside all the buzz and a nice little walk until you reach all the tourist points. Another bonus is that you get to see some local neighbourhoods around and there are local foods/snacks selling along the street which we recommend to try. The riad inside itself is very very charming, the facilities provided are simple but comfortable. Breakfast is pleasant and from time to time you have some cats to keep you company. =) Overall it was a comfortable stay for us, and we just wish we could stay longer.

Cons: NOTHING at all.

Hello everyone, Here is Roxana and Eduard, we are from Romania, but live in Germany. We decided to visit Marrakech, together with our friends Dana and Mihai and booked Raid Chameleon. It was an amazing trip, the Raid is clean, the stuff are amazing, welcoming, always helpful and funny! They speak English very well and are always there to help out! They welcomed us in a manner...that no one does... took our baggages and carried them to the Raid, welcomed us with local sweets and a very good tea. It felt like we were family there and therefore we recommend you to book them without second thoughts! The Raid has it's own flair, it is intim, always clean, the smell of Jasmin is everywhere and you always see a smile. A big THANK you to the stuff, which we are missing already & hopefully see you soon one day! Roxana, Eduard, Dana and Mihai

The Riad is beautiful, calming, smells like flowers and there are lovely clean cats to make you smile (if you don’t like cats, don’t go to Marrakech!). The views from the terrace are magical. The staff at Riad Chameleon are exceptional. The friendly team are very knowledgeable and nothing is too much to ask - they go the extra mile naturally. Mourad is a star in hospitality! He was very thoughtful and dedicated to making sure we had a good time; he helped us to organise excursions and other reservations, gave us very helpful explanations of the local area and he walked to places with us to ensure we didn’t get lost and felt safe. The staff provided us with a mobile phone with their numbers to use in case we got lost or needed help. Breakfast was fresh and lovely and so was the constant flow of Moroccan tea. The location is perfect because you are in the Medina but not too close to the extremely busy streets which are loud and chaotic. Riad Chameleon has the feeling of total peace which is created by the fantastic staff. You should visit Marrakech just to stay here. We will return one day.

The staff were absolutely exceptional. This was my third stay at Riad Chameleon and, once again, I was blown away. The riad itself is beautiful and so well decorated. It feels like an oasis away from the hustle and bustle or the busy medina. My mum and I were also so impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They told us to treat it like our home, and went to the trouble of going through the map of the medina in detail with myself and my mum, as well as giving us a phone to call them on, an offline map app, and offering to walk us to nearby Limoni restaurant and meet us after to walk us home. We were so impressed and were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. We felt in the most capable of hands and wouldn’t stay anywhere else on return to Marrakech

The Riad is an oasis of calm and tranquility in the hustling medina, and the room, plunge pool and breakfasts on the rooftop terrace were amazing! A big thank you to all the staff at Riad Chameleon for their warm and friendly welcome! We had already been in Marrakech for a few days prior to our stay and Noureddine kindly got in touch with our driver to organise a pick up spot which was super helpful. The location is in the old medina around 15 mins walk from the main souks. The staff kindly gave us a telephone so we could contact them at any time in case we got lost. On our first night, Mohammed kindly walked us back to the Riad after dinner which made us really feel more comfortable in getting around at night. A special thank you also to Mourad who was extremely helpful from the beginning to the end of our stay. Mourad went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He also gave us some great tips for getting around the city, shared some fun facts about Marrakesh and gave good restaurant recommendations. Despite a very early check out, Mourad was more than happy to walk us to our taxi which we really appreciated. The breakfast on the terrace each morning was lovely and the rooms were very clean and comfy along with the riad itself.

Cons: The riad can sometimes get noisy depending on the amount of guests in the courtyard. This is expected in a riad though so it didn't bother us too much.

Absolutely outstanding place to stay, made welcome for the first moment we were greeted in the Riad staff and rooms are exceptional. Amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much to ask of them, they were so attentive. The riad is about a 20-25 min walk from the main square which was a little far but when there is so much to look at it did not matter. Especially if you choose to stay out the whole day. Lovely terrace to enjoy for breakfast and any other time- great views!

Cons: Not that I didn't like it, but we ended up not using the plunge pool as the weather wasn't the best and it was cold- probably more welcoming in the warmer weathers! As is probably the same with every riad due to the layout (atriums and hard floors), other guests can be heard clearly when returning to their rooms and unlocking the bolts. Nothing on the riad or staff itself, but down to who your neighbours are and if they are loud and talk outside your room.

We LOVED our experience at Riad Chameleon! It was beautiful, so quiet and peaceful, and was such a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Everyone who works in this riad is phenomenal. Ayoub and Hamza helped us the most, arranging our transport from the airport, showing us how to get around the Medina (and literally walked us), arranging dinner reservations and serving endless delicious mint tea at all hours of the day. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. They were always happy to get us anything we needed, including collecting a takeaway pizza from the local restaurant when we were too tired to go out for dinner! They gave us a local mobile phone for the duration of our stay and on the nights that we went to the local restaurant Limoni (it was great, would recommend), they suggested that we call them when we finished so that they could walk us back to the Riad (it was during Ramadan so the streets were very quiet around dinner time and they clearly get lots of customers getting lost in the old streets!) There were lots of good spots to chill at the Riad, which we appreciated. The room itself was a great size, very clean, with a wonderful waterfall shower.

Cons: The location - the Riad is at the northern bit of the old Medina, so it's a 30 minute walk to the main Jemaa el-Fna Square. The nearest restaurant is 15 mins walk and the Riad doesn't offer evening meals, which we found a bit frustrating.

Huge thanks to the staff, Nour Edine, Said and Ayoub! They were kind, friendly, helpful and wonderful in general! World needs more people like those guys! And I think it was the best thing that this Riad has! They were always around and taking care of all details to be just perfect. As well they helped a lot about city, how to not to get lost in the tiny and narrow streets of Medina, what to see, eat or buy in Marrakesh. They even provide their contact to call via Whatsapp if we need anything, for example to be sure we are not buying fake souvenirs. As well they saved us from scammers who were trying ā€œto helpā€ to find our Riad. So, don't get lost and call them, trust me, they know all streets of Marrakesh by heart. Now about the Riad itself. Important message to all people who don't know what Riad is. Riad is not a hotel, it is totally different experience (and personally I like it better). Because I know that some people go to Riad and expect a hotel (please do your research). Riad itself is very beautiful, calm, no noises even during the day. If you are semi-light sleeper like me and are afraid of morning call to prayer (which happens all over Marrakesh) this is the place to be. I heard nothing and slept like a baby. Breakfast was great: hard boiled egg, Moroccan pancake and bread, Tea (or coffee if you want), fresh orange juice, bowl of fruits and and sweet pastry (different each morning). Also if you want they can make you an omelet. The rooftop terrasse was amazing, had lots of greenery, plenty of room, great place to eat breakfast or relax in the evening. Thanks a lot for an amazing hospitality. I really hope to have a chance to visit Marrakesh one day and I really know that Chameleon Riad will definitely be my choice for the stay! šŸ¤

Cons: The riad was a little bit difficult to find for the first time, but we did facetimed with Nour Edine and he was our eyes and guided us. So if in doubt where to go, don't be like me, just call them and don't ask random people where to go because local people will trick you, take to the wrong place and ask you for money (but as mentioned before thanks to Riad staff they helped us to avoid paying for the scam). I would say that was the only minor inconvenience which was resolved very easily and quickly.

The Riad is beautiful (lovely, clean, great ubication in a quiet part of the Medina, with a lot of unique details and more) but the best is how Nourddine, Ayoob, and all the Riad Chameleon family treat us during our trip to Morocco. Thanks again! We will always think of Riad Chameleon with love and appreciation. And we want to come back soon šŸ‡²šŸ‡¦ā¤ļø

I loved everything really - but especially the staff. Norddin, Ayoub, Aziz and the owner, Tony, couldn’t do enough for me. I travel solo frequently and their system of giving guests a pre-paid mobile phone so they can call day or night for help blew me away!! I couldn’t fault Riad Chameleon for comfort, service, lovely breakfast and good location. I will definitely return!

Lovely Riad in a quiet area in the Madina. All the staff were amazing, made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Tony and Maggie, the owners are very helpful. Thank you Tony for the tour around the Medina. Excellent breakfast and the smell of jasmine in the evening was the best!

Cons: I found the bed a little too firm but that's a personal preference. My partner had no complaints.

This was perhaps the best place we've ever stayed at. Nourddine and Ayub were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much hassle - they communicated well before the stay, collected us so we wouldn't get lost, explained everything very well, took time to go through a map of the sites with us, walked us to and from a wonderful restaurant on our first night, coordinated with our tour for the week and took us early morning to the bus and more! The room was beautiful, cosy and clean. Breakfast on the roof was excellent. Would so strongly recommend! Stay here!

My partner and I stayed at Riad Chameleon during a recent 1 week trip to Marrakech. We loved everything, especially the hospitality. The folks at Riad Chameleon went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our experience wonderful. This started from the moment they flawlessly coordinated our arrival, welcoming us with mint tea / personal space heaters (sometimes chilly in the winter!) in the common seating area and sharing a "Marrakech orientation" binder with tourist 101s. We wanted to do a day trip excursion to Essaouira, which Nourdine helped arrange super last minute and still at a great price. He also personally volunteered to walk us to nearby food stalls and pick us up (late at night), checked in with us as needed with the cell phone the Riad provided, and even helped us get to our next riad on the other side of the Medina after we already "checked out". We even got little babouches keychains as a parting gift! Other perks: the riad itself is simply beautiful and relaxing, breakfast is plentiful. The location is walkable to the central square Jemaa el fnaa while still being in a quiet, peaceful location that felt very safe with outdoor security cameras too. We stayed at 3 riads total, all with extremely great reviews, but Riad Chameleon is where we remember most fondly and will go again and again on future trips to Marrakech. Trust me, after spending time in the medina/souks and being bombarded by locals trying to take advantage of you, it is a breath of fresh air to have some genuinely wholesome people who have nothing but good intentions and go out of their way to make your experience great. The owner (Tony) has truly struck gold with the family of staff he has here. Thank you all!!

Everything! The staff are amazing we were well looked after throughout our stay they go above and beyond for your comfort. The food is excellent too, plenty fresh fruit, eggs and bread for breakfast we had two evening meals prepared on the premises, they were both delicious! I cannot rate this Riad high enough. The location is in a very peaceful quiet location away from the main square perfect for relaxing on one of the three sun terraces.

I would like to recommend this Riad to everyone that pass by Marrakech. Since minute one Nourddin and Ayoub and the whole team did their best to make me and my partner to feel like at home. From coming to welcome us to the taxi transfer (they provide it on a fair price) and explain us the whole city, points of interest and tricks to avoid problems, to great talks at the end of the day about their culture and lifestyle. They even provided us a movil phone in case we would need to contact them at any hour!!

The Riad itself is a beautiful and true moroccan Riad, in really great conditions. The rooms are big and clean, with nice bathrooms and comfy beds. They also have a fantastic rooftop where you can have super tasty breakfasts they prepare for you. Those breakfasts while the sun rises seeing the whole city under it is something that you can't miss. We loved Marrakech in general, and I've to say this Riad was one of the best things of the whole trip. We both are stoked about meeting the whole team, hopefully we'll see you again in the future!

Cons: Honestly everything was nice. The Riad as a place is fantastic and the people working in there is even beyond it. 10/10

Riad Chameleon was wonderful. It is a well appointed property. Clean, nice decor, good wifi, nice breakfast. Many nice areas to relax outside your room. Most of all, the staff is wonderful!!!! They are kind, gracious and welcoming. They met us outside the Medina to show us to the Riad. Once there, you are given a talk/text phone to use if you get lost. They take time to go over a map of the medina so you can find your way to where you want to go. They will even walk you at least part of the way until you have your bearings. They also arranged for a wonderful day trip to the Atlas Mountains with a good driver and great guide once we arrived to the mountain. I highly recommend Riad Chameleon!

The very warm, nice and funny, but always respectful way of dealing with the guests. You feel among friends. They really try to fulfill your wishes in every moment and even give you good ideas what else you might want or need. I haven't experienced anything like this before. The breakfast was really more than enough and there was always more orange juice if you wanted it. Also in the pretty rooms everything was available what you need. A bit chilly in January, but that's the way it is. The hotel even provides a mobile phone for contact at any time should you have a problem or get lost. Top in the wide labyrinth of the medina. Fantastic.

We cannot say enough good things about this riad and especially everyone working there. The staff, Nourdine, Youb, Khadijah and Husain all made our stay wonderfully comfortable. Having a mobile on loan in case of getting lost or other was just great and shows a strong desire to make a stay at this riad a comfortable and problem free. Special thanks to Nourdine, no issue that could not be solved , stellar. We were having difficulty booking two bus trips later in the trip and thanks to Nourdine, tickets were arranged. All the meals were great and Moroccan mint tea is available anytime.Breakfast was delicious and generous. Great coffee too. We had two rooms which were spotless and well appointed. We had arranged for diner there on our first night after a long journey and this delicious meal was served on the rooftop terrace. The location is very close as well, just a few minutes walk inside the Medina from one of the gates where we were met by Nourdine and Ayoub on our arrival by taxi which they had arranged to pick us up from the train station.Well situated and away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina but close enough to walk to. Safe area. Would definately go back and have not a single hesitation in recommending Riad Chameleon. Great value cost wise, made even more positive by the great friendly people working there who show great care in making their guest’s stay comfortable.

Cons: Everything was great, no issues.

Beautiful riad, lovingly cared for by the best staff. Nourdine (sorry if I have misspelled that), and all the other staff were extremely helpful with everything we needed without being intrusive or feeling we were being told what to do. We had an interesting, exciting yet peaceful time, well fed from a great breakfast for us and ouf teenage sons. They all took great care to make us feel welcome, safe and catered for, from guidance as to how to find our way round marrakech, sorting a day trip, getting a phone card, and anything we wanted to know. Totally recommend the venue, slightly longer walk but more peaceful for it, but everyone from their cook and cleaner totally made our stay. Can't thank them enough and we hope to go back some day. Would feel safe knowing our boys could travel, go here and be looked after.

Cons: Having to leave.

The standout feature from the Riad Chameleon is the customer service. I stayed in a few different accommodations in Marrakech and the accommodation at Riad Chameleon is really unmatched. They go above and beyond to assist you and make sure you can find the riad and navigate around the medina. The breakfast is also fantastic and the rooms are beautiful. I liked the location towards the edge of the medina, not right in the center of the action so it's a bit more peaceful. All in all, this was probably my favorite accommodation we stayed at.

Cons: There were a lot of mosquitos in our room during our stay and I ended up getting pretty bitten up. Also, if you can, try to get a room on an upper floor so you have a bit more privacy.

Everything was phenomenal. I visited with my mum and we had the most amazing time. We wouldn’t have enjoyed our trip nearly as much if we were staying elsewhere. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and so clean. In fact, the whole Riad was. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious and the best start we could have to our day. As wonderful as everything else was, I have to say the highlight, by far, are the staff members working so hard to keep everything running smoothly. They are the kindest, friendliest people — never hesitating to offer help and always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we need. My mum was sick on the last couple of days and I was always at ease knowing they’re there, should we need anything at all. Both me and my mum haven’t had holiday blues this bad before — probably because we just did not want to leave this Riad or Marrakech! I want to say the biggest thanks to Nour-eddine, Houssaine, Mohamed, Khadeja and Azize for making us feel so welcome. I cannot wait to come back soon ā˜ŗļøā¤ļø

Breakfast was great; the room was lovely very spacious, nicely furnished, quiet and comfy; the terrace was very nice in the evenings. However the best part of the experience by far was the staff. Noureddine and the other staff saw to our every need and went above and well beyond what I expected. They came to greet us when we got in from the airport, on the first day sat us down with a map and gave us loads of good information which made me feel very confident navigating the medina right from the get-go. Even after we finished our stay at Riad chameleon and were staying at another Riad they were happy to print out our boarding passes out for us since we forgot. I doubt I will ever experience such good service ever again.

Cons: Honestly very little, only thing was the walk into the centre of town was a tad long and got a bit tiresome when we were having to do it multiple times a day.

It is hard to do justice to how great this place is with a couple of words, but we had the most incredible experience at Riad Chameleon. First and foremost the staff are exceptional, diligent and consistently go above and beyond to ensure any need you have is met. I want to especially mention Nour-Eddine and Mohamed for their kindness and friendliness during our time. On arrival we were immediately welcomed with a smile and this set the tone for our stay. Straightaway Nour-Eddine took the time to explain how to navigate through the Medina, he gave us a map and also general recommendations and advice. The staff made sure we had their WhatsApp contact details should we ever need to contact them if we got lost or needed help. Nothing was ever too much to ask, Mohammed even walked us to the restaurant we wanted to go to on our first night so we could get a feel for navigating the streets in the Marrakech Medina. All of our airport transfers, and also a day trip to the Atlas Mountains was seamlessly booked and arranged by the guys. We simply relaxed and did not have to worry about any admin. One night we fancied just chilling out and staying in after our day trip and Nour-Eddine got Pizza delivered to the Riad for us! The building itself is stunning, there are lots of nice areas to sit and eat your breakfast or relax. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Our room was very comfortable with a modern bathroom and everything was spotlessly clean. The stay itself was excellent value for money also. I can’t speak highly enough of Riad Chameleon and I strongly recommend coming to stay here. It was Kara Kara! (Brilliant!)

I never write reviews unless they’re really bad or really good. This is definitely the latter. It’s almost impossible to sum up how amazing this riad is in just a few words. The fact that it’s one of the most stunningly beautiful buildings I’ve ever stayed in, (from the pool to the terraces and the gorgeous rooms) is just an added bonus! The staff are what turned this serene slice of paradise into an 11/10 stay. Nour-Eddine, Hussein and Hadijah are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They all went above and beyond. Hussein’s smiling face looking after us, Hadijah’s gorgeous breakfast and making sure we didn’t want for anything. We have to give a special mention to Nour, without him, we’d have been lost. He went above and beyond in every single way and his attention to detail and care wouldn’t even be found in a 5-star hotel. We went to Essaouira for two nights during our stay and while we were there I was badly scratched by a wild cat, he picked us up from the bus station and helped find out if I needed a vaccine and physically came with us to try find out where to get one. And this is just one example of how helpful he’s been. We came back to the riad for our final night’s stay so relaxed and feeling at home, even though we had this extra worry. I’m genuinely blown away by the service, all coming from the staff being just wonderful people. Absolutely brilliant!
