The riad is beautiful, very clean, and authentically designed, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of Marrakech. The rooms were comfortable, and the common areas were well maintained. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the overall ambiance made the stay pleasant. Special thanks to Hamza for his excellent support, kindness, and constant availability throughout our stay — he truly made us feel welcome. Also, many thanks to Ismail for his support.

We were there less than 24 hours. It's the hotel we chose to stay in before our early am flight home. Staff were very helpful in setting up a taxi to the airport. Large room and bathroom. Great location. Beautifully decorated. A luxurious ambiance
Cons: I wasn't there long enough to form an opinion on the downside. From the short time we were there I will say that we could not figure out the tv. We didn't ask for help either though. Our room was very loud. We heard all the conversations happening in the courtyard and people clomping up the stairs.

The location was perfect to walk to see all of the sights. We didn't use any transport and was able to see everything we wanted including the gardens. The staff were really lovely and willing to help with anything. The room had an ac unit that also could provide heating during the cold month of January when we travelled. There is also a fridge in the room to keep your drinks cold if needed.
Cons: The noise levels could be a problem if you are sensitive. You could hear the buzzing of the front door at all hours and the breakfast noise in the morning.

The Riad was beautiful and the room was clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly. The airport transfer was convenient to arrange by hotel staff.
Cons: No hot water in the morning. The TV didn't work. We were there only for one night so didn't ask for things to be fixed but can imagine not having hot water or a TV would be an issue if we stayed longer. The noise would carry in too.

This was my first time in Marrakesh and I am a stickler for immaculate living spaces that are clean and safe and this Riad was amazing. Ismail and Hamza made us feel welcomed, well-taken care of and safe. The design is beautiful, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was spacious. This was also away from being directly in the city center yet close to great restaurants, hammams and a local community of people in both directions so it was a nice calm and quiet place to retreat to. Also if you plan excursions or need to meet a taxi, easy access right away. This is going in my booking list for my next trip.

Cons: The staff entered my room without my consent and touched / moved some of my personal belongings. When I realised what happened, I checked my wallet and realised that I am missing 100 Euros. At the same time the riad was unattended for an hour - not a single staff member to be seen anywhere and all my calls and messages unanswered. Eventually they appeared and of course said that they do not know anything about my missing money. If you are planning to stay here - cancel it now. If you cannot cancel, do not leave anything valuable in your room. They have a second key to the padlock they give you.

Breakfast on the rooftop
Cons: The evening meal (brought in) was not the best quality. I had stayed before and it lacked some of the personal touches from our first experience. On our first stay we had mint tea and cake on arrival in the lounge, there were dressing gowns and fluffy towels with quality toiletries in the room - I felt it was missing these personal touches. They were also painting the roof terrace that we were not advised about. Even so, it's still a beautiful riad in a convenient area to walk to the square.

We stayed at Riad Sultan Suleiman and had an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with kindness and professionalism. We wanted to take two excursions, and the staff organized everything perfectly for us, allowing us to enjoy the experience without any worries. Their recommendations for places to visit in the city and restaurants to try were absolutely spot-on, helping us discover some truly special spots. The location was also perfect for us, especially when taking taxis — very convenient and easy. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes. The riad has a calm and authentic atmosphere, ideal for immersing yourself in the spirit of Marrakech. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, helpfulness, and truly exceptional hospitality!

Everything was wonderful! The hotel's location is ideal! Beautiful, comfortable rooms, everything is clean, excellent breakfasts.

We kregen goede tips over Marrakech. ‘s Avonds nam Hamza het over en met dezelfde gastvrijheid en grote glimlach verzorgde hij iedere ochtend het heerlijke ontbijt. Het ontbrak aan niks. Ook van Hamza kregen we goede tips. Nogmaals bedankt Hamza en Ismael! De Riad is mooi ingericht, schoon en de ligging is perfect.

We only stayed at the Riad for one night, but it was fantastic. Ismail gave us an extremely warm welcome, and gave us plenty of recommendations for an incredible evening. We liked very friendly personnel a lot and the location. The terrace was nice as well. We felt very secure and taken care well.
Cons: We lacked a kettle in the room. It was impossible to organise it. My wife likes fresh coffee in the bed in the morning. To get it we had to dress up and climb to the terrace, where the breakfast was served. It was the only disadventage we have experienced.

I was treated like a sultana! I was very warmly welcomed by Hamza and Ismail who helped me navigate around the riad and the city, arranged early breakfast and hammam for me with short notice :) The Riad and the rooms are well decorated, comfortable and clean. well located close to many sightseeing locations, the medina, palaces and Koutoubia mosque.
Cons: They are partnering with another riad for the hammam. That other place delivered a good service, but cheated on the exchange rate for the payment.

We arrived super late at night and were a bit stressed about finding the place and getting a taxi, but the staff were amazing, super helpful and kind. They made us feel very welcoming. They also took the time to explain how to get around the city, gave us tips on the best spots to visit, and even got for us a local internet chip, which was a huge help! The hotel itself is a real Riad, full of charm and super cozy, it honestly felt like home. The location is great too, close to everything but still peaceful. If you're looking for a place that’s welcoming, and feels like home, this is it. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Nice location, right outside the busiest area. Nice decor of the ground floor and the staff was attentive to your needs.
Cons: Very unclear check in process, we had to wait 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The staff was very nice though. The rooms are quiet noisy as there’s not proper windows/doors so we could hear basically everyone walking outside all night. Unfortunately for the money paid, there are way better properties in Marrakech.

Staying at Riad Sultan Suleiman was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. From the very first moment we arrived until the day we left, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and always smiling. They assisted us with everything from local recommendations to transportation, always going the extra mile with genuine warmth. The riad itself is beautiful and full of charm, but what truly made our stay special was the hospitality and friendliness of the team. We are so grateful for their care and support, and if we return to Marrakech, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.

Location is nice as it is near to all the main sites and while being in the medina its entrance opens on to a road accessible by taxi. Staff, especially Hamsa and the lady who is at the breakfast are very sweet and attentive.
Cons: 1. Tacky decor and extremely small room. The property has put up factually incorrect room information. We stayed in a room called ‘ Emir’ which as per description was Deluxe Suite and supposed to be a 30 sq mtr room with a living room. In reality this was a room no larger than 15 sq mtr with no space to move if you open even one suitcase. In the name of a ‘ living room’ there were 2 chairs which we had to ask them to remove as there was just no place otherwise to even keep out suitcases. The bathroom was substandard with poor quality toiletries and not so clean towels. 2. The payment for the stay has to be made at the property and they overcharge. The exchange rate applied to convert Euro to MAD was at a 6% premium to the market rate and over and above they levy a 3.5% charge for payment by credit card. 3. And now comes the bummer. When I complained about the room being not as per description etc the property management fraudulently ‘ cancelled’ my booking and showed me as a no show on the Booking.com app. This does 3 things- they invoked a payment for the stay against the credit card given as guarantee on the portal and also ensured I would not be able to write a review ( as I supposedly did not even stay there) besides they would not have to pay any portal fees to Booking.com. IT TOOK SEVERAL CALLS AND EMAILS TO Booking.com customer care to reverse my stay status so that I could write this review.

The riad is situated in Marrakech’s Kasbah district, within easy walking distance of all major tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the staff were polite and welcoming. Breakfast was satisfying for everyone, and the terrace offered stunning, picture-perfect views.
Cons: If I had to be picky, the shower pressure could use improvement, and the air conditioning didn’t do much, as it’s positioned quite far from the bed.

We stayed in late April for 3 nights. Staff were really great, really helpful, both before our arrival and during our stay. Riad is lovely. Breakfast included in price was fabulous - presented beautifully every morning with slight changes in fruits and some foods. We had a room on the ground floor which was large with a king bed, a lounge suite, big tv, mini fridge, private ensuite. Decorated beautifully in Riad style. Lots of power points. Free internet worked well. Location is fantastic - just on edge of the medina so outside the main chaotic hustle and bustle, but terrifically placed for walking to all major attractions (except Jardin Marjorelle). Taxi stand is less than 50m (taxis are cheap). ATM 10m or so. Mb/cell.ph shop very close. Cafes all around. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
Cons: These are not 'didn't likes' - just suggestions that would make a '10/10' accommodation score from us: a kettle in the room to make tea/coffee at leisure would be great. And a communal washing machine that guests could do a quick wash of clothes.

If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! This accommodation exceeded all expectations. The staff are welcoming, friendly and genuinely care about their guests. The rooms are spacious and clean (cleanliness is a top priority for me). Breakfast was generous, homemade, and delicious, with few things changing each morning. On our last day, we had to leave early at 7 AM (before the usual 8 AM breakfast), and Hamza kindly woke up early to prepare packed breakfasts for us. Abdul and Mouhal were also incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Everyone went above and beyond. I really really recommend staying here. The area can seem a bit chaotic at first, but we always felt safe. Location is great: just a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the Souk and Bahia Palace. Thank you Manuela & Alex

The location was fantastic with the airport shuttle car arriving to its doorstep. The riad was lovely looking and the breakfast enjoyable. The staff was attuned though were not very forthcoming with recommendations. It did feel they had a lot to manage though.

Nice hotel and good value for the price. Decent location with lots of restaurants a short walk away. Helpful staff. Room was fairly spacious and nicely furnished. Location was a little away from the Jemma el F'na which I liked. Parking was relatively close though it was basically full when we showed up at 3 PM - thankfully, managed to get a spot as I didn't want to be driving around in heavy traffic looking for another space.
Cons: One small nitpick - Breakfast didn't start till 8 or 8:30 if my memory is correct. We needed to be on the road early since we had a long drive ahead of us. However, things weren't setup for b'fast at the time advertized. It took a while to get the food.

Quick early check-in, staff was kind and friendly, beautiful views from the rooftop, breakfast was okay, although it was a bit chilly in the morning on the rooftop, the riad location is close to the city centre and main attractions. Large comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: We selected this riad because it was advertised as soundproof. In fact it wasn't. Very loud calls to prayer in the morning between 5am-7am were really annoying. And we also heard noise from the hall. Very old worn towels in the bathroom.. The riad facilities are old and worn. Our room was advertised as 30 sq.m , in fact it was no more than 16 sq.m. During our trip to Marrakech we stayed in three different riads and had what to compare to, and this riad was disappointing compared to the other two. Luckily we spent just one night in this riad and wouldn't choose it again.

perfect location for exploring the city on foot. just around the corner from the tombs saadi with several restaurants in the area. the riad also has its own restaurant where you can dine on the rooftop of on the ground floor. the room on the ground floor was fantastic - with a large comfortable bed, good lighting, 2 couches in the seating area and a small refrigerator. there was no desk in the room but plenty of tables outside for working. the rooftop has tables and couches and even sun loungers to relax. the shower is great, with strong water pressure and it doesn't leak and flood the bathroom!
Cons: there is a mosque around the corner and every morning from 5:45 till about 7am there was almost non-stop call to prayer or prayer that felt like it was happening in the room. if you want to sleep late, this is not the place for you.

The pick up and drop off airport are also the best. Right on time!! DEFINITELY POSITIVELY WE RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

My husband and I felt very welcomed and looked after during our a few days in the riad. Thanks to Abdul Razaq and Hamza and the female staff (I don't know their names but they were all lovely). Service was great and breakfast on the rooftop was varied and tasty (consisted of mainly, breads, jams, pancakes). Regarding people complaining about the riad, I think you have to keep in mind that when staying in a riad it's supposed to feel like a home not a luxury hotel so keep in mind that's the experience you're going to get!
Cons: The room was clean however we booked the deluxe suite room as the bigger ones were not available. I wanted to book a bigger room (double room or executive suite) but they were not available when we booked. I felt like the one we stayed in was a bit dingy and on the smaller side. Still good value for money.

A quiet riad at the edge of medina, very close to Jamal Fna and other attractions in the city centre. The room (king suite) was nice and had the amenities as advertised. Warm water and clean towels. The staff were nice and friendly. You can hear the noise from outside but it's the same in all the older riads because of how they're built. The staff were so kind and friendly. Abdo checked me in and he was welcoming, offering tea and even helped me to print some important documents. The room was much bigger and more lux than I expected. Spacious and comfortable with nice touches and soft lighting. The location is great, on a quiet street just minutes from the hustle and bustle. The wifi worked well and there’s a nice rooftop terrace too.
Cons: I loved my room but the only windows / doors opened to the restaurant terrace downstairs. Only a problem as I was on group floor and don’t bother me for the one night.

We had a great time staying at Riad Sultan Suleiman! We went there for a week in August and we were greatly accommodated. All workers were very nice, very welcoming and very kind. We booked one of the suites and it was spacious, had AC and was overall comfortable. As they bake their breakfast goods in the house, the Riad feels very homely as it smells really nice of cookies or cakes. Breakfast is big and consistent and it is made in house. Location is great, it is a 10 min walk from Jema el-Fnaa and a 3-5 min walk from Badi Palace, El Mellah spice market and Saadian Tombs. Although close to the city center, the location of the Riad is in a quiet place.

I am so grateful we chose to stay here! Not only is this place exquisitely beautiful and unforgettable, the staff there really went above and beyond. If it wasn't for them, our trip to Marrakesh would have been so different. Having inside tips to how to find the actual workshops hidden deeply within the souks as well as helping with parking and luggage made the stay extra special. The upstairs patio is spacious and relaxing. I wish we could've stayed longer and I hope to come back someday. Thank you so much!!

Service was excellent, the experience was a true definition of hospitality. Every single detail was covered, room was spot on, service was impeccable. The staff assisted us on everything, giving us advice of where to v visit and what times, helped us to organice the activities we wanted and comparing with people from other hotels, with a better deal. But my favourite part from the stay was the breakfast made by Hamza, who was always there for anything we would need.

My partner and I stayed in Sultan Suleiman for our first visit to Marrakesh. Where to begin with? This Riad is a true definition of hospitality; from our arrival to our departure, both Hamza and Abdul with the great assistance of Naima, who made sure that our room was spotless, made us feel safe, well taken care of, ensured to give us the best recommendations and a delightful inclusive breakfast every single day. They even offered us breakfast out of hours and organised all of our activities that, compared to other guests from different hotels turned out to be cheaper. They are truly committed to their guests by even being available 24/7 on WhatsApp and we cannot ask for more: this is our favourite accommodation ever and made us feel home. As a woman, if you are travelling solo, I can definitely ensure that this is a place where you will feel safe. NOTE: We recommend calling them directly as other websites charge fees.

This was not the first time I had stayed here, and again was warmly welcomed by Hamza and Abdullah, who could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. The property is quiet, but is located at the edge of the Kasbah and within walking distance of many of the sights, cafes and souks of Marrakech. Really good location, great breakfast, really helpful staff, lovely stylish room. Quiet at night. A real haven from the bustle just outside the door. Very clean, comfortable bed and dark room at night-helped with sleep. Easy access from airport and staff went out of their way to prepare breakfast for us even when we left very early for our flight. Welcomed with tea on the roof top area was lovely. Staff helped carry our bags up and down to the room as well as arranging transfers to and from the airport. All this helps make a trip simple and allows you to focus on just soaking up the sights, sounds and experiences that Marrakech offers. Good to have an all night reception ready to help when needed. Felt very safe and secure throughout our stay. Very good English speaking staff and those including the kitchen and cleaning staff always so welcoming. One of the team on day 1 and 5 of our staff helped us alot with laundry and other directions. We will return!!!
Cons: That we had to leave.

My recent five-night stay at Riad Sultan Suleiman in Marrakech unfolded as a series of disappointments, overshadowing any positive aspects that might have existed. Upon our arrival, we were left unattended in the lobby for an extended period, setting the tone for a cascade of issues. The misrepresentation of the booked suites added to the frustration. Despite booking two suites via Booking.com, the reality fell far short of the descriptions. The promised "living room" turned out to be merely a double bed and two chairs, with a total space of approximately 15 square meters compared to the advertised 30 sqm. This vast disparity between what was advertised and what was provided created a palpable sense of dissatisfaction. Attempting to address this issue with the receptionist resulted in defensiveness and an unhelpful solution – a different suite for two nights followed by a downgrade to a noisy ground-floor room, which was impractical with an infant. Seeking a fair resolution, I suggested a refund for the price difference between the suite and an ordinary room, given the vast disparity in what was promised and what was delivered. Regrettably, this request was denied. The breakfast service, marked by a slow pace and a reluctance to fulfill reasonable requests for additional items, further underscored the lack of commitment to guest satisfaction. Despite my willingness to pay extra charges for a more fulfilling breakfast experience, the staff's attitude conveyed an unwarranted inconvenience. It is worth noting that “Hamza” and the “femme de chamber” were nice to us. The final night brought an unexpected twist as the receptionist decided to cook downstairs, resulting in slightly burned food and smoke permeating into our rooms. When we sought an explanation and resolution, the receptionist's defensive stance and dismissive response were disheartening. Throughout our stay, it became increasingly evident that the management not only resisted feedback but also engaged in dubious tactics to manipulate online reviews. The intentional cancellation marked as a "no show" on our last night, ostensibly to avoid negative feedback, revealed a concerning approach to guest relations. In conclusion, Riad Sultan Suleiman failed on multiple fronts—from misrepresented rooms to poor breakfast service and defensive management. The intentional cancellation incident, coupled with the vast disparity in the suites' descriptions, underscores the need for transparency and integrity in their operations. I strongly caution prospective guests to weigh their options carefully and consider establishments in Marrakech that prioritize genuine service, transparent communication, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Beautiful Moroccan style Riad with a nice location. Very helpful staff, good breakfast, and spacious rooms. It was the best riad/hotel both me and my partner have stayed in so far in Morocco. Would absolutely stay here the next time we visit Marrakech. The Riad also had different activites/ excursions you could sign up for, unfortunately we did not have time to go on any.
Cons: Beds could be a bit softer, but compared to other riads/ hotels in Morocco, Riad sultan had the softest once. Maybe its a moroccan thing to have harder beds:))

Very nice room, bath and WC facilities, well furnished. Very quiet at night, good sleep quality. Restaurant dinner very tasty. Breakfast excellent but their take away b'fast on the day of my very early departure was awful, old pancake and cake, a little cheese, no drink or fruit. For that price, they should provide something better. Satellite TV had no signal. WiFi good. There were 15 decorative pillows in the room and I did not know where to put them. Why so many?

I was given a very spacious room with a nice bath / WC. The water pressure on the shower was poor. just adequate. The room was well furnished but I found 16 decorative pillows a nuisance. The hotel was very quiet at night, I slept well. The TV had satellite channels nut not signal, so it did not work. The breakfast at the Riad was very good but the one they offered me on the day of my departure (I had to leave very early) was an insult, just an old pancake, some old cake and pieces of cheese, no drink, no fruit, nothing else, very poor. The restaurant meal was tasty. Staff were pleasant.
Cons: Limited air circulation, all windows to the interior courtyard, but I accept that Riads in the old town all have this problem. The take away breakfast on the day of my very early departure was terrible, old cake and pancake, 2 pieces of cheese, no drink, no fruit, terrible. TV satellite channels did not work due to no signal.

Location of the Riad was great, next to Taxi rank in a popular tourist area and mosque. Design of the Riad just like in the photos very aesthetic. Rooms well equipped with good bed and good air conditioning. Great hosts and service guiding you to have a great trip in Marrakech.
Cons: Everything was great in general. The only thing that didn’t make sense to me was that they charge for water in breakfast (30 MAD) whilst a glass of orange juice is included - apparently this is normal for all the Riads in the area but I feel atleast one glass or bottle or so should be included at the very least. Change starts with you!

The property is quiet and not disruptive. The courtyard looks great in the the different lights as the day progresses and makes for a beautiful photo spot and relaxation area. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The en-suite was fine, although there was no hot water during our stay, not sure why but I didn’t enquire about it as it was 40+ degrees in Marrakech and so I didn’t mind the cold water. The location is great! Right by the taxi station and a 10 minute walking distance or so to the jmaa el fnaa square. The staff are kind and helpful.
Cons: The breads and flat bread pastries for breakfast didn’t taste like the most fresh one’s available. The a.c isn’t very strong and doesn’t travel very far considering it is on the other end of the room from the bed.

One of the best hotels with a great location. It is in the historical center of Marrakech, and at the same time it is on a clean and not noisy street. Clean and not noisy is difficult to find in Marrakech. Rooms are double the size compared with the similar price rate hotels. The bath and toilet are big. It has no pool, but this is fine. Most hotels that pretend they have a pool, the pool is not usable, as it is very small, jacuzzi size, and it is in the middle of the yard, where there are all the people. The staff is warm and helpful. Best value for money!!!

The staff, Abdul and the team made us feel really at home. They did all that's possible to enjoy our stay at the riad and in general at Marrakech. If we would come back, we'll definitely stay again in this riad !
Cons: Nothing, except the loud prayers of the neighboring mosque early in the morning.

- Great staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Especially, Hamza went above and beyond our expectations when he helped us finding a good parking area - location, short walk from the main square in Marrakesh and other amenities - Nice and comfy rooms, furnished with taste - Beautiful Riad. Very well decorated
Cons: Minor comment: the traditional breakfast was very good, however the bread was sometimes reheated in the microwave so it was a bit chewy. But overall a fair breakfast.

Staff is really incredibly sympatethic and you really feel their sense of service. They came to help with luggage when we were gerring off the car, were really helpful and mindful by giving us all info we needed to know concerning the surroundings and hotel facilities and served us tea upon arrival with some delicious moroccan pastries. The staff is really what made my stay in this Riad.
Cons: The only drawback point is that as the Riad is located in the center just beside a mosque, you wake up in the middle of the night with the praying time but that is also an experience in itself as you really feel like living in the time of the locals.

The Riad itself was very traditional, so definitely a pure Moroccan experience. The location was very good and the staff was always very polite and helpful.
Cons: Unfortunately the bathroom was not clean enough and they didn't to replace our towels. Also, they didn't clean the room during our stay or refiled the amenities (shower gel, shampoo). This was the minimum acceptable for any hotel, and they failed.

So wonderful to stay here! Including: pick up to and from the airport, welcoming staff, breakfast and dinner at their restaurant, cleanliness of the room and it's (modern) bathroom. Triple sheeting! There is a lovely rooftop terrace and traditional courtyard. Mohab (sp.??) is a super friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and helpful manager. He spoke fluent English which was helpful for us, and gave us great advice on what to see and expect in Marrakech. A great value for the price, and if we return we will most definitely stay here.

I went to Morocco for a week and had different 3 accommodations. This was the cheapest one but the best value for money. It was the first and only accommodation that had a minibar, AC, breakfast included and a TV, which I haven't seen in other places in Marrakech (which were also more expensive). The staff was super friendly and kind, also allowed us to check out a bit later as we had a spa appointment. It was the best customer service we've had during our trip. The breakfast was also my favourite because they make it fresh while in other places they used to have ready breakfast, so some things went cold if you had it a bit later.
Cons: In terms of how the room looks like, it wasn't one of my favourite, but given the price it definitely met what I was expecting.

I only stayed for one night, but the location of the riad was very easy to find as it was on a street that wasn’t busy at all. It’s a short walk to the main square. Abdul was friendly and helpful too. The room was clean, comes with bathrobes and face clothes which I appreciated.
Cons: Uninterrupted sleep was hard to get here. I could hear everything that was happening outside the room as there is no noise buffer. In the middle of the night, it sounded like someone was working on the roof. There is also a mosque right next door, so you’ll hear the call to prayer clearly as if it were coming directly from the riad.

The Riad location is very good for access and walking to all the major sites. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping excellent.
Cons: There is no minibar or fruits in your room as advertised. Just an empty fridge. Transfer (arranged by hotel) was not private, though other guests did not show. No great welcome or tea etc as mentioned by other guests nor any real explanation of anything. Breakfast was acceptable but invariably always cold. Biggest issue was NOISE ! lots of it, caused mainly be the large brass bolts securing the guest rooms and the doorbell to access the Riad. This went on all day from around 8am to midnight, either cleaners or guests coming and going , please get rid of these two things ! There is no peace at this Riad.

Location was perfect for us, easy to walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa (main square/bazaar). Also starting right from the Riad, there are historical places around (Kasbah, Saaidian tombs, less touristic streets, Mellah...) which we wanted to see by walking. In case needed there are a lot of taxis near the Riad, which we used and had no trouble by agreeing to open the taximeter/counter upfront, taking normal small taxis and knowing a normal travel within city shouldn't exceed ~3 euros (~30 dirhams). Of course larger taxis and bargaining is possible and longer distance means higher price...Rooms exceeded our expectations in terms of size, comfort, cleanliness, design etc. All the staff was very kind, informative and helpful. Moed (staff) was great, he helped us in every step check-in/out, finding taxi, explaining about Marrakesh/Morocco, practical tips etc.

Brilliant location with very friendly and helpful staff. Feels like a secluded location away from the hussle and bussle. Feels very homely with a cosy roof terrace, breakfast served to each person with lovely fresh orange juice. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms with bespoke bathroom. Our first time staying in a Moroccan Riad and it did not disappoint. Only a short distance walk to everything needed. Close to a very beautiful mosque and made us feel like we were really experiencing the culture and local tradition. Enjoyed it alot.
Cons: Everything was brilliant, however when my wife asked for some water at breakfast the guy charged us 30dirhams for a bottle of water when it is 6dirhams from the local shop.

The place and room was great for the money. Very spacious room with nice bathroom. Compared to many places stayed in Morocco and Marrakesh you get a proper closed off bathroom for privacy. The bed was comfortable as well as many beds in Morocco are quite hard.
Cons: The room could hear quite well the noise from the riad and it's close to the mosque where they would start from 5 am with the prayers. It will be very loud and it definitely woke us up.

Excellent location : easy access by taxi or car, walking distance to most interesting sites to visit, in a lively but not touristy local neighborhood. very good breakfast, very good bathroom, friendly staff.
Cons: We made our OWN MISTAKE by hiring a taxi from the airport ourselves. after lots of bargaining and hassles to get to the Riad, we understood that we should have taken the 15 euros option offered in advance by the Riad to send a transport to greet us at the airport. Take this option if you come from the airport !

To begin with, this riad is absolutely stunning! Honestly could not have asked for more. The rooms are thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, the location is perfect, and the staff are very lovely and helpful. Mouad and Abdo were more than happy to ask any questions we had and gave us a lot of useful guidance about Marrakech. The breakfasts were also great, though it’s worth noting they are generally only served between 8-10am. However, on our last day, since we had to leave at around 7:15am, Abdo very kindly went above and beyond and prepared breakfast for us at 6:45am, which we really appreciated. In terms of location, it’s about a 12 min walk to Jemma Al Fna Square which we thought was perfect; since the square itself can be very hectic, we were glad to have somewhere quiet to escape to after an evening out in the hustle and bustle of the medina. All in all, we really cannot recommend this lovely riad highly enough!
Cons: The only thing that we weren’t too fond of was the rule that you can’t bring food or drink into the riad which was a first for us in Morocco. Also, the key you get is to your bedroom only, not the front door, so whenever you come back, regardless of the time, you have to ring the bell to be let in. However, it must be said that these things were only minor grievances - still a 10/10 stay!

I've spent with my family 8 days at riad Sultan Suleiman and we were impressed, on top of many other qualities, from the kindness of the staff and the cleaning of the premises. At any time the guys were there with a smile to try to help you out. Nonetheless the position of the riad is central and a throw of stone from the big square and many other sites. I would with no hesitation choose this riad again and I strongly recommend it to new visitors.

Loved the location. First time to stay at the Kasbah and I must admit I prefer it to staying in the Medina. It is just a better location; you can walk everywhere and I love the openness and beauty of the area. In the Medina, I'm always conscious of getting lost especially late at night; not here. Staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is really nice and varied. Rooms look exactly like the photos - really lovely and opulent Turkish style. They did an amazing job with decoration. Excellent value for money. Cleaning is top class.
Cons: - While the rooms are spacious and opulent, the AC needs looking at. It is pretty ineffective. The room was so hot. Granted, it was a heat wave of 42-46 degrees celsius but the heat and humidity in the room was unbearable at times. The bed is far from the AC so the first night, I slept on the sofa to be closer to the AC. If they can fix the AC issue, I would return. The room also needs correct "snagging" as in fixing. The riad is new but things needs adjusting e.g. the toilet needs to be secured to the wall; the shower water pressure needs adjusting; tap needs to be tightened; lighting in room can be adjusted as it's a bit dark. No guests should also be allowed to talk in the main area late at night while people are trying to sleep. On my last night, people were chatting until 1:30 am in the main area until I asked them to consider those of us who were trying to sleep. Not a big issue but in most good riads, there are quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am.

The staff was wonderful, helpful, kind and available especially Abdo but also the other guy( don t know the name). A warm welcom with moroccan tea and sweets directly in your room. The room was exactly like the pictures, beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was ok too. The riad was very calm and well located in the Kasbah quartier very safe even at night and just a little walk from the square jamaa el fna. I would come back
Cons: Globally the room and the bathroom were clean but it could be better.
