We really liked the kindness of the staff. Said and the ladies did an excellent job being very welcomming and friendly. They did their utmost to assist us in arranging tour to the mountains and dessert, where we had a super driver in Abdu. We can highly recommend the riad.

Cons: The beds were a little hard. Nothing else, we loved the stay.

Riad bellissimo e molto caratteristico, curato nei minimi particolari. Camere in stile tipico marocchino e ampia terrazza dove ci siamo rilassati e abbiamo consumato i nostri pasti.

My room on the first floor was lovely, also the quiet terrace ....perfect for morning yoga 😊 Saed was friendly, very helpful, considerate ( he even whispered at early breakfast so not to disturb other guests) and of course charming 😄 The welcome tea and a selection of biscuits was better than many places, and breakfast was different every day( omelette, pancakes, fruit, cream cheese...and if course Khobz, no Morrocan meal complete without it!), Plenty of it to help with a day on the streets of Marrakech! The house cat was good company if you wanted it, but not fussy if you aren't a cat person 😉

Cons: I liked everything, just the bed was too firm for my wide hips.....plenty of pillows though!

Siamo stati benissimo e sicuramente ritorneremo. Grazie!

The Riad was placed very centrally for the entire mid city. In 15 minutes the Souk is reached and everything is in walking distance. I was especially keen on the way a Riad works. It is a very comfortable and welcoming way of staying. Huge thank you to Said for being forthcoming and inclusive for visitors that ‘knew nothing’. If going to Marrakech this is the way to stay. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Riad Dar Nadwa and I would not hesitate to come back.

We loved our stay in Riad Da Nadwa, its located within walking distance to everything you'd need, our room was lovely and spacious and cleaned every day, we especially loved the tasty Moroccan breakfast every morning. Although, it's the staff that really made this stay 5 star! Everyone was warm and welcoming, extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. They also arranged our transport to and from the airport! We will definitely be returning to this Riad on our next trip to Marrakech :)

The breakfast was great. Freshly squeezed orange juice with nice coffee. Lots of Moroccan pastries, pancakes and breads with fresh fruit, honey and jams. Lots of food, and really enjoyable to eat on the terrace in the morning sun. Great location - quiet but near the main square in the medina.

Cons: The family suite was really big but it was just one big room rather than a separate area for kids.

First time in Morocco, Said was exceptional in making us feel welcome, truly accommodating all our needs, and going out of his way to make our experience the best it can be. We went to Fez for a few days after this, and Said arranged our tour guide in Fez who was the best. He didn't have to, but he called 8 people to find a good guide. Overall in this trip we have stayed in 3 Riads, and this was the best one, mainly due to the hospitality and friendliness of Said and the staff. My kids still remember Said. Lachen, the owner, is a true gentleman. In all my different Riad stays, Lachen's way of handling the costs for evening meals, excursions, taxis, etc that he managed was the most professional. He found the most value for money, and handled all money conversations with the customer in mind, and settled the bill at the end of the stay with care and professionalism. It's clear that he is a truly leading by example.

Cons: There is always something that can be improved. But they have figured out the trick that if you have exceptional and friendly service, all things not to perfect standard can be overlooked. And this is my experience here.

Such a wonderful place- the kind of place you wish you booked more nights for… amazing hospitality by staff and manager. Multilingual service as well. The riad was extremely nice and comfy. The staff was extremely helpful and kind to us. We surely advise to eat at least one dinner at the riad, the lemon chicken tajine was delicious. The room was spacious and clean, with beautiful furnishing. The riad is in the northern part of the Medina but only 10-15 mins walk to the market and 20-25 mins to the main square. Being inside the Medina it means that sometimes the air can smell a bit but the staff always had essence burners to fight it with a wonderful orange flowers parfume.

Cons: Nothing really.

A quiet and cosy traditional oasis, run by the most attentive, respectful, and friendly staff. Our experience at the riad was magnificent, and we can't wait to come back. Although we arrived very late at the riad due to a flight delay, we were greeted by a warm welcome and the most delicious beef tajine. The riad is traditional, stylish, and full of authentic and impressive Berber details. The room was very cosy, with a comfortable bed and a window opening to the central courtyard. A delicious breakfast served in a quiet courtyard while listening to the birds chirping and looking at the wonderful plants was a priceless experience. During our stay in Morocco, we changed 4 accommodations and met great local people, but such wonderful, attentive, and friendly staff we haven't found anywhere. All of them - owner Lahcen, our star Said and whole team, were really amazing - l can't find proper words to describe so warm hospitality. Thank you for everything. I hope we will be back soon. Riad Dar Nadwa offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The Moroccan breakfast is delicious and satisfying, adding an authentic touch to the stay. The room is spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom is clean and well-maintained and has air-con. The staff is fantastic, not only cleaning our room daily but also being warm. This was a traditional Riad located in the Medina. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed into the house with Mint Tea served by Said. What a lovely touch this was. The location was an easy 20 minute walk from the Main Square Jemaa el-Fnaa. The walk took us through a number of neighbourhoods so we were getting to see people as they lived on a daily basis rather than just seeing the main tourist attractions. The Riad itself was traditional, just 5 rooms, a lovely terrace and a roof terrace. The breakfast had traditional breads, fruit, yogurt and a little treat that changed everyday and was served on the terrace. It was a lovely start to each day. What really made this Riad was the staff, just a small team of 4 people who greeted us every morning and evening, always checking how our trip was going and offering advice and guidance. The welcome and friendliness went way beyond what you would get in a corporate hotel. If you want to experience Marrakesh from the Medina, Riad Dar Nadwa is a great choice.

Saeed and Omar were friendly and attentive. Although we managed to get lost initially once we got orientated the location is good for exploring the old town. We were well looked after and it was a delight to have breakfast in the courtyard. The terrace was good place to relax.

Cons: Hardly the fault of the riad that the call to prayer from a nearby mosque was very loud early in the morning! The same could be said about the ubiquitous motorbikes and the pervasive smell of petrol fumes! We got very good advice about what to avoid but still got stung a couple of times.

Amazing stay in Dar Nadwa, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, every morning we had something different. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Very traditional with lots of ornaments and nice wooden decorations. The rooftop is a nice place to chill out and have a coffee. The owner or the Riad - Lahcen is very helpful and communicates really quickly when needed. The guys working in the Riad, Omar and Said are so helpful and polite, always smiling.

Cons: We liked everything.

Beautiful little Riad in the Marrakech medina . We had a lovely 3 days here, the staff were so accommodating and friendly, especially the two lovely guys that looked after us . Must make a special mention of SAID, he was sooo much fun and really made our stay that much more enjoyable, he is certainly in the right vocation,It’s often the people you meet not necessarily the places you visit! The Riad is unnasuming from the outside but beautiful inside. The rooms, all centred around the courtyard, are comfortable and the roof terrace provides a great space to relax. Located within the city walls, the Riad is within a 10-15 minute walk or 5-10 minute taxi of the central locations including the souks. The staff elevated the stay, particularly Said and Omar, who provided suggestions for day activities and attended to every need.

Cons: Its only our personal preference; we like the room to be more light, but here our room was dark. And ofcourse you don't realy get any natural light, because there is no other window then the one facing the middle of the riad.. Decoration of hole riad is on the darker side..

I stayed Riad Dar Nadwa with my Fiancée and Abdo made our stay very special, I requested rose petals on the bed and he went above and beyond and filled the room with roses and candles. He is also very kind and attentive to us during our stay and would text to check in on us. He is the man! The riad itself is very nice and has a lovely plunge pool to cool off in, great roof top with inside and outside seating. Our room was beautiful and had all the amenities with nice soft lighting. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed pretty much everything, from the Riad to the cleanliness of the place, the breakfast, the peace after a long day of walking and exploring the magnificent city of Marrakesh; but most importantly we have to thank Abdo for his hospitality, kindness and the support he gave us during our journey, he made sure that nothing was missing, gave me medicine when I got sick, brought me a chicken sandwich cause I couldn’t move from my bed, and the amount of life lessons that he thought us combined with a lot of passion and wisdom. Thank you! We’ll definitely come back soon.

Cons: The only things that we didn’t like are based on personal preferences… like the mattress that was a little bit hard and we had a little problem with the shower cause there was mainly hot water coming out and the pressure was also too weak.

Our stay at the Riad was just perfect from the first day. We were greeted by a lovely host Abdo and we were offered a mint tea as a welcome gesture. Rooms were very clean and nicely authentically decorated. It was our first time in Morocco, so we were very grateful for all advices Abdo gave us, related to directions or places to eat and visit. If you are reading this review, you have to book this riad.Location is perfect, walkable to the medina. Abdo our host was very hospitable and courteous, even walked us to the meeting point of our tour pick up, as the tour van could not maneuver the tight streets. We booked the suite room for our family of three and it was very spacious. The bathroom was very clean and we had breakfast at the courtyard and had dinner almost every night on the rooftop, the food was amazing!! When we came back in the afternoon our room was always made up.Communication with Abdo was also very smooth. We arranged a transfer pick up from the airport to the riad for 20 euros and we were dropped in front of our riad. Breakfast was included with the price and candlelight dinner, 3 course meal is 20 euros each,to include a large bottled water enough for the 3 of us.Perfect place, amazing service!! Wish we could stay longer! Thank you Riad Dar Nadwa for making our Marrakech stay memorable!

One of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly - they chatted to us everyday and gave us recommendations on places to visit! The breakfast was absolutely amazing - some of the best food we had in Marrakech - and the room was always clean and spotless when we’d come back after a day of exploring. They also accommodated our early check out time as we had an early flight and arranged a driver for us to the airport. This riad definitely made our trip more enjoyable!

Staff here were amazing making sure we were all good and so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the dinner is definitely worth doing it was our favourite meal of the trip and Farouk made the dinner a very personal and special experience for us going above and beyond. rooftop was a great place to wind down in the evening would definitely recommend and visit again.

Lovely building. Very good substantial breakfast, served with a smile. We found the location very interesting. It is a popular quarter, full of Marrakesh folk going about their business. We were there during Ramadan and that was a great spot to get a sense of the culture. The best thing about Riad dar nadwa are the staff, Lahsen and Yassine and the sense of community they create in the Riad. We had a great trip to the mountains with driver Said, organized by Lahsen. We also had two great dinners, including a cous-cous night.

Cons: Our room opened directly on to the courtyard-the window is sealed but the beautiful latice door is not-could be a bit noisy during the afternoon. Perhaps a heavy curtain or seal to doorway into room, for privacy? It was very quiet at night. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful peaceful place to sit with fantastic views.

Riad Dar Nadwa was absolutely lovely, great location to walk into the medina, the souks, and main sightseeing points. The room was very nicely decorated and felt very comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was slightly different every day; a great selection of Moroccan breads and treats, yoghurt, jam/honey/butter and fruit. Almost too much! The inside patio is very inviting to sit and enjoy some tea and biscuits and relax after many hours of walking around the city. The staff are very helpful and gladly answer questions you might have. The only feedback I'd have would be to provide (more) water. You pay additionally for every bottle used at the riad, which I thought was a bit interesting. In my opinion, water should be provided, or at least a fresh bottle every day in the room. Otherwise, our stay was absolutely lovely and we would gladly come again. We felt very welcome and nothing was too much to ask. Especially the colorful, comfy rooms have a real Moroccan flair!

Lovely Riad to stay in Marrakech. Lahcen was always available to respond our questions before arrival and also booking transfer from the airport directly to the Riad. Even being on holidays Lahcen was always there for any questions we had. Yassine welcomed us late at night on our arrival and was always awailable at the riad throughout our 3 night stay over the weekend. Yassine advised us on places to visit and was available through whatsapp whenever we would need his help. The breakfast each day was wonderful and different each day. We also had one dinner at the riad where we had 2 Tagines beautifully cooked by the riad's staff. Comfy bed and beautiful riad with great terrace. Go with an open mind when staying in a Riad it is not the same as staying at a normal Hotel, some noises will be present as this is more like a family house where you will be staying.... it's a Riad. Yassine my friend hope to be back one day! Lahcen hope to see you in person next time.

*Staff exceptionally attentive & friendly.* Very accommodating to special requests / circumstances (early departures, late arrivals, etc). Breakfast very good & plentiful. Dinner is an option which I did not choose so cannot comment. Rooms generally comfortable. Very clean throughout. Bed firm - my preference but perhaps not for all. March visit so temps were fine - no need for air. Good water pressure and hot water fine. Bottled water provided for drinking. Car service from airport (extra cost) much valued as I arrived late and did not want to deal with Marrakech taxis. It is possible to drive to door which is a plus; no long haul of luggage on arrival & departure. Great example of Riad living in the Medina.

Cons: 20-30 min walk through the souks to e.g. Jemaa el-Fnaa, Bahai Palace, etc which has advantages & disadvantages. Immediate area quite, mostly residential which was good for me. Returning from Jemaa el-Fnaa area at night is a longish and confusing walk thru the souks.

The location was ideal. Situated in the medina but just a few streets out from the hustle and bustle, it really did feel like an oasis of calm as other reviews suggest, which is so needed after a busy day in the souks and sightseeing. Yassine and Lahcen were truly exceptional hosts, really helpful on every little detail of our stay and super personable without being overbearing. The two of them and staying at this hotel will actually be one of the highlights of our time in Marrakesh. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning was wonderful, with something different every day - Moroccan pancakes, homemade yoghurt, French toast. Not much here on Booking mentions the dinner food, so we weren't sure whether to eat in the hotel one night, but we were SO glad when we did. We had many tagines during our stay, but the chicken tagine homemade at Dar Nadwa was our favourite by far. I want the recipe!

The stay at Riad Dar Nadwa was super wonderful. We got very big room, spacious for us two. The decoration of the hotel was amazing, flowers and small deco with color. You got even daily cleaning room so it was super tidy. The host, Yasheer (correct me) was also super kind and always gave us tips on our trip. The food was amazing, the welcoming tea and sweets, the breakfast all super amazing. I would like to recommend to friends and family. Thank you!

My daughter and I stayed in Riad Dar Nadwa a few weeks ago. This Riad is located within the walls of the city Medina and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit during our stay in Marrakesh. We were close to the beautiful city gardens, restaurants, and of course, the souks that we both loved. We did loads of shopping and bought 2 lovely rugs. Lachen and Muhammad were very helpful and provided us with reliable and very useful advice on where to go, things to do, and where to eat etc. As we had a very late flight arrival into Marrakesh Lachen arranged for a taxi to collect us at the airport which was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this Riad for a very enjoyable, traditional, and authentic Moroccan experience 👌

The whole Riad was lovely. All rooms had lovely decor and ours was spacious and had ample storage space. Friendly and welcoming staff, who went out of their way to be accommodating and is the reason why the Riad was so special. Had various communal rooms that could be used (including a spacious terrace), and as there are only a few guest rooms, it was always quiet so made it feel like a very large space for us.

Cons: The Riad isn’t car accessible (most aren’t in this area) so expect a walk from and to taxi drop offs, albeit the walks are 2-5 minutes so wasn’t a big issue! However very easy to get lost in the streets so would strongly recommend having internet and maps ready ahead of the visit. We very quickly got used to this so was not an issue for us!

Beautiful, cozy riad with welcoming friendly staff. Mohammed and Lahcen were lovely to us and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The two ladies who cleaned our rooms and served us breakfast always greeted us and we are thankful for their care. The interior design was beautiful and the building smelled like jasmine. Our room was well air conditioned and new towels provided daily. Every morning, we enjoyed having our breakfast with hot coffee and a variety of breads, then sitting out on the rooftop for some reading. Thank you for accommodating us, and we hope we will meet again! - Adrienne and Mohammed Jaman

Cons: Be careful looking lost outside the property as there will be many locals trying to guide you places then asking for money.

Lahcen received us with the highest degree of hospitality. He also offered to arrange some breakfast to go, since we had an early flight the next day and printed our boarding passes. The small courtyard is truly breathtakingly beautiful and the smell of flowers is all around. This together with the rooftop terrace gives the place a super cool ambience, and it makes you want to spend some time there just to take it in. Additionally, you can easily reach the spice markets and other places of interest in marrakech from this accomodation.

Cons: The fact that I was only staying here for one day ;). The smallest points of improvement would be : - Bathroom door could be a bit less noisy such that partners do not wake each other during nightly bathroom visits. - The room door could be a bit easier to open

We have had an all around very pleasant and warmhearted stay here, everything went well and without any problems. the rooms are clean and beautiful, the roof garden is also very nice. We had breakfast on the roof top! the riad is located in the north in the medina, in a little more quiet area what can bring you to some "hidden corners" on the way. Mohammed was overall helpful with everything we needed and credible, amicable man to talk to, also on personal and non-touristic topics. Thanks to Lahcen (the manager of the riad) for the spontaneous and quick help with the car rent and everything else! It was so simple and the contact helped us also after check-out a lot! Location: excellent. It's in the walled Medina so from a sightseeing perspective that's superb. The walled Medina is just a delight - the architecture, the colours, the vibrancy. For me it is the the most thrilling part of Marrakech. Riad: an oasis, really. Exceptionally clean and hosts were exceptionally helpful. From the pickup at taxi drop-off the help and support were superb. A big shout out to Mohammed who picked me up from the taxi, explained house rules and Medina rules, looked after my breakfast and general well-being... he was magnificent. Shout out also to Lahcen, the senior host who welcomed me warmly. Also the modesty and friendliness of the woman who cleaned my room is worth noting. Breakfast on the rooftop was something I looked forward to each morning.

Cons: Location: for Westerners the walled Medina can be intimidating. There are lots of alleyways without knowing if they led somewhere or not. I used Google Maps and still got lost and that's scary at night or when alone and when there are young men (almost always) calling out to "help". But like I said above this is the most thrilling part of Marrakech. Riad: Wifi in downstairs courtyard was excellent, on the rooftop it was non-existent. Dinner (twice) was fantastic and delicious but a bit pricey: billed MAD 600 incl. tax (£48) for two meals without alcohol. Room: did not have much natural sunlight. Wifi in my room was only possible from one small section.

The Riad is placed at the northern part of old town (Medina) for Marrakesch a little bit off the busy center but all the key sightseeing spot are reachable with 20-30min by foot. The service in the Riad is great. Staff is extremly friendly and helpful and easy to communicate with. From my point of view the best part is the rooftop which is a great place to relax or take breakfast and which really provides a quiet Oasis within the busy Medina.
