Riad Laila is beautiful – the courtyard/pool area especially stunning. We loved hanging out here listening to the birds, and having breakfast in the gorgeous dining/lounge area - complete with roaring fire. The design and attention to detail is lovely - stylish, considered and elegant surroundings. After a day stomping around the sensory overload of the city centre/souks, Riad Laila is the perfect place to return to for relaxation/calm. Hard to believe it's situated in the Medina given how quiet it is. We had the family room (fantastic) – with a lovely separate bathroom and incredibly comfy beds (great firm mattress). At night, it was silent and we slept brilliantly for all x3 nights. Location wise, you are a little further out in the top left corner of the Medina, but we enjoyed the walk to the centre – fascinating, chaotic, colourful and always interesting. It's about 15-20 mins roughly on foot to get into the first souk areas, with decent restaurants even closer. The area outside the Medina gate nearest to the Riad (good for taxi drop offs), is lively to say the least. Definitely a travel adventure and one you will not forget. We felt safe pretty much everywhere. We did get properly lost first day and found ourselves in true residential streets on the east side, which was the only slightly edgy part... but ultimately fine. Lastly, the staff here are super friendly/brilliant. Genuinely could not ask for more. Special mention to Mohammed who was a delight to chat to and so accommodating. Helping us get away for our amazing Atlas mountain full day trip with an early breakfast. Breakfast is simple/lovely – with amazing fresh orange juice (from the orange trees in the courtyard), pancakes, bread, yoghurt and fruit and coffee/tea. We ate here first night too – also superb. The owner Gaelle is great too, dealing with any queries we had with ease/speed.

Cons: Nothing really. Cannot think of anything I'd improve upon. Staff presence is very discreet and you don't see team members around the property that much. Personally we really like this and see it as a plus, as you really are left to just relax in the peace and quiet. Also, another plus is the cheap and efficient airport transfer the Riad organsises on request. €20.00 one way and it's only about 20-25 mins to the airport.

Lovely Riad quiet location away from the madness of Jem el Efna square beautiful folliage around the pool .Clean comfy rooms with a lovely rooftop area to relax in the warm Moroccan sun. It was old and authentically Moroccan .So nice sitting round the pool having breakfast in the morning

Cons: it was a fair bit away from central Marrakech. Yes if you were up for it you could walk to the centre of the medina. However in the warm Moroccan sun sometimes a taxi is the only option so be prepared to get ripped off. Also we found the manager or ? owner very standoffish on our departure .We requested a taxi transfer from the riad to the palmeriae district. He stated a price and we did said yes . We then changed our minds as the taxi fare seemed unrealistically high. We asked him to cancel an hour later and he wasnt happy.stating im going to have to cancel it now Also on our departure he was very cold with us . Did not ask us if we had an nice stay etc etc .No good byes or enjoy the rest of your trip .Not at all professional . It is for this very reason that we would not return to this property.

My room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom products smelled lovely! Breakfast was tasty and the courtyard with the pool is a lovely setting to relax in.

Cons: The Riad is at the north end of the Medina, and therefore, there is not a lot around. It also means it's very quiet and dark walking home at night, which wasn't comfortable for me as a solo traveller.

Gorgeous Riad. The rooms were very spacious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely calm atmosphere.

Cons: When you asked for the Riad to book a taxi, it cost x3 the amount it did to book a booking.com taxi. They also will meet you at the airport with your name on a sign so very safe - would recommend doing that and saving the money. Same happened when they booked us a local taxi and the next time we did the journey on the Roby app - saved us a third.

The absolute perfect oasis for our finally leg our our trip. Riad Laila feels like a perfect paradise. We also loved the location experiencing the none tourist part of Marrakesh. There is a great what’s looks like a fast food restaurant at the end of the road. Walaa food. The women cook up the most amazing food. Simple, cheap and delicious. And the tea biscuit seller. We loved this community. Bed was so comfortable at Riad Laila and the staff so calm and friendly. A very special place.

The Riad looks lovely especially the pool area and the room was pretty and the manager was very nice. She was very accommodating.

Cons: The main thing was the location. As two women we felt very uncomfortable. We tried to venture out but were hassled and told that certain roads were shut for religious reasons and then to follow them another way which we didnt do but then we were followed so we ran back to the Riad. This was my second time staying at this Riad, and once again, it completely stole my heart. The first time, I was mesmerized by how stunningly beautiful the place was. This time, it’s not just the beauty that touched me — it’s the people. Ahmed is an absolute star — warm, helpful, always with a smile. The gentleman who works the night shift is so kind and respectful, making you feel safe and cared for. The lovely women who serve breakfast and look after the rooms are incredibly sweet — they check in on you with such genuine kindness. It’s not just about good service — you can feel that they truly care. During our stay, one of our group fell ill, and the entire team was simply amazing. They acted quickly, calling a doctor, and more than that — they showed real concern. They kept checking in, making sure she was okay, and did everything they could to make her feel comfortable. That kind of warmth and support is rare, and we felt deeply grateful. This Riad will always be my number one choice in Marrakech. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s a place that stays with you. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful. I could lose hours just sitting in the garden, soaking it all in. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I truly, totally love this place.

property was pretty, cleaned and well cared for

Cons: We were in Morocco for 10 days and this Riad was the last place that we stayed at so I guess we were spoiled by the other accommodation when we are comparing apples to apples. Our driver couldn't get a hold of anyone at the Riad the day of arrival so no one met us at the medina gates. We made our way to the Riad (about 5 pm so not late), the staff that greet us didn't speak a word of English (not really his problem but probably ours that we didn't speak French or Arabic). He gave us the room key, show us the room and that was it. Which is fine but compared to other places, they would usually meet us as most Riads are hard to find, some would welcome us with a welcome tea and cookies, tell us about the breakfast and maybe a little about the neighborhood and maybe inform us about their terrace and some sort of map. In the morning, we had no idea where to go for breakfast so I just wandered around and found it, not sure when they served but found some tables that was set and sat down. They had one staff that was busy checking someone out so he noticed us about 20 mins later. Nothing really to complain about just not as nice as the other 4 places that we stayed at. We must have gotten them on a bad week.

Beautiful riad in a nice location away from the hustle and bustle but still close to everything you need including some nice restaurants and the Secret Garden. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Just one night for us - wish we had longer! Thank you to the team.

Cons: We spotted a discrepancy on our bill which was rectified immediately.

We had a spacious family room which was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately the weather was too cold for the pool but it looked very inviting! The staff were super-helpful, firstly with a late-night food order after our delayed flight, then arranging a half-day tour guide and sorting a mix-up with a dinner reservation.

Cons: This wasn't a problem but just be aware this is Riad is in a quieter part right in the north of the walled medina. It took us about 25 mins to walk back from the main square and the navigation was relatively easy (in Marrkech terms at least!)

A wonderful oasis in a bustling city. The staff were super friendly and helpful, bringing us extra blankets and accommodating our dietary requirements. Bed and room very comfortable, and stylish, and loved the robes and products in the bathroom.

Cons: Breakfast was nice and beautifully presented, though a little samey after 3 days. Also it wouldn’t suit someone gluten intolerant as it’s heavily bread/ pancake based. It’s a little way out of the central medina area and while we were happy navigating the tiny alleys to find out way back, and never felt unsafe, it’s something to consider if you’re travelling alone or perhaps less confident walking around at night. Be warned- Google does not cope well with Marrakesh alleyways!

Cons: It was not easy to get to the riad inside the old city center. When we arrived the taxi left us at Bab Ben Brahim and we had to walk 500 meters in a maze of narrow streets and we got lost. I would not recommend walking in those streets at night as it didn't feel secure

The staff were all very kind, friendly, and helpful - with English and French widely spoken. Gaelle was especially helpful via the app, prior to our stay, with plenty of information, and making arrangements for us. Like all Riads I’ve stayed in previously, the location and outside presentation belied the beauty and calm within. The pool and terrace are a beautiful oasis. Breakfast was very pleasant, Moroccan breakfast, nothing out of the ordinary. We asked the riad to arrange a taxi to collect us from the airport upon arrival so that we would be sure of arriving right at the door of the riad, especially since we arrived late at night, and this worked exactly as planned. Walking through the medina to the main square was much quicker and easier than we expected The room was very pretty, and cleaned daily; it was useful to have the toiletries, and the bathrobes were great!

Cons: Occasionally we would struggle to find a staff member in a moment, but never for long! The riad is easy to find from a gate in the city walls, but the approach to the gate from outside (not too far from the local bus station) was quite unpleasant; there is a flea/scrap market and food market by day, so the area is very dirty and somewhat deserted late at night. A passing motorcyclist made a grab for my friends handbag while we left the area in the early evening - luckily the strap held, and the bag was not taken, and nobody hurt. Obviously this is not a reflection on the riad in any way, the comments are in relation to the area- and a suggestion that some people may prefer to use taxis/caleche rather than walk. The double room that we shared was a little tight for space either side of the bed- we could have done with better lighting in the area of the wardrobe, and maybe a chest of drawers rather than the writing desk

Fantastic Riad, literally a little Oasis at the edge of the Medina wall, comfortable lounge room, incredible courtyard garden with small pool and singing birds, very comfortable and shaded. Also decent space on the roof terrace. We had a one of the larger suite rooms and were very pleased, traditional style. Mohamed and the team that cared for the Riad and guests looked after us extremely well and were very helpful and friendly. The Tagines here for lunch were better than all the restaurants we ate at, breakfast was also nice. Thank you Mohamed and the Laila team, we will definitely return on our next trip to Marrakesh.

Beautiful, tranquil Riad with the nicest staff. Despite the hustle and bustle outside, the Riad is quiet and calm. Beautiful architecture and spacious rooms that transported us to a different time (but thankfully still had outlets for devices). There are games and books in the common area, a pool for cooling off, and orange trees all around the main courtyard. The meals made here are delicious and they accommodated our party's many dietary restrictions. Shout out to Mustafa, who met us at the pedestrian gate in the dark (after a loooong customs line) and carried our suitcases through the alley, showing us the way; Mohammed who helped us place a delivery order when we came back from a tour too late to make lunch and called for a driver for our transfer; Nadjoie who always greeted us with warmth at breakfast and made sure we had food that met our restrictions. Everyone was so kind with our child and all of us, could not recommend them more.

Cons: Just notes, not anything to dislike: If your room faces the main courtyard, the birds are very chatty at sunrise and you'll be able to hear other patrons as they come back at night and eat dinner. Light sleepers will want to bring earplugs. And as is true with all riads there are ledges and steps to look out for.

We spent a wonderful time at the riad. The staff is so nice and helpful. They helped us with everything, they stayed up to welcome us even though our plane arrived with a serious delay in the middle of the night. A beautiful, secluded Riad with very helpful and accommodating staff. Our room was lovely, very spacious, quiet and immaculately presented. The home cooked meal we had on the first night was delicious; the little pool was perfect to cool off in, and we even met the resident tortoise.

Cons: It's very hard to find fault with this, because it was incredibly good value for money and beautifully kept, but if I had to say one thing, it would be that as a tall man I do value a shower I can stand underneath. The shower was great, but I had to hold it above my head on one hand. Hardly a negative really - most people aren't as tall as me...

This is a delightful oasis of peace and tranquillity in a residential corner of Marrakesh which means it is very quiet. The owner, Galleywood, is charming and she has wonderful staff who are friendly and will do anything for you. Special mention of Amin, a charming young man who was a big help to us in our 'difficult' moment. 😉 The central courtyard is cool and welcoming and has a small pool which is perfect for hot, hot days. The roof area is delightful and very well set out. Breakfast was excellent and dinner lovely but you need to order at breakfast time so don't miss out if you plan to stay in to eat. Remember, this is a Riad and NOT a hotel, so if you want hot and cold running room service, it's not for you . However, if you want a VERY competitively priced superior welcome in a totally relaxing setting, you MUST come here.

Cons: The only thing that could be upgraded was the shower. The bathroom itself was gorgeous but it was the hand-held type which left a bit to be desired. However, that did not spoil our stay in any way.

Very beautiful and picturesque setting. Lovely large room and delightful bathroom Great pool and a very nice rooftop. Loved listening to the birds in the trees..

Cons: The dinner was expensive and I am a vegetarian and only got a few vegetables to share with the meat eaters. The soup was watery and flavourless and we had no choice of desert. We don't like apples so couldn't eat it. The minute we had finished eating, I was whisked away to pay for the food and room. Despite not checking out until the following day. It's professionalism to the max, but lacks soul. We stayed in 3 separate Riads during our trip, some budget, some exceptional but this was our least favourite. It was more like a Spa day experience with the staff marching about in Uniforms than a relaxing, nurturing vibe!

Communication with the Riad before we arrived was excellent and we arranged a driver to take us from the airport. I can't begin to explain how beautiful the Riad is, it is stunning and a very relaxing oasis in the hustle of the Medina. We visited with two teens and very much appreciated having a suite with separate bedroom for the kids and close to the pool etc. Breakfast was delicious, pancakes, cake, yogurts, all very nice. The Riad were very accommodating of us eating inside to escape the insects who also fancied some. The inside space was welcoming and we enjoyed a game of Moroccan Monopoly. The Riad was about a 20-30 minute walk from the middle of the Medina. It felt safe, needed to be on alert for motorbikes. It was about a 15 minute walk from Jardin Marjorelle. Because we were visiting in the height of summer we went out in the morning and spent time in the afternoon around the pool which was shaded and beautiful. The teens loved the tortoises too. Thank you Riad Laila.

Cons: The Riad was amazing, it was away from the main Medina so involved a bit of walking or could arrange a taxi but it didn't stop us getting out and about.

The Riad itself was lovely as were the staff and the pool and garden were a little oasis inside the bustling medina.

Cons: Anytime we left to go out we were aggressively hassled for money, between being told that roads were temporarily closed due to religious activities and then being shown an alternative route and money being aggressively demanded from us after a 2 minute walk. Riad Laila is a friendly and luxurious retreat from the bustling Medina . The staff are all friendly and helpful and there was a gorgeous breakfast by the pool each morning with a choice of pancakes, cake, yoghurt and fruit. Mohammed is especially helpful and always around during the day if you need anything. You can eat dinner and lunch at the riad but you need to organise this in advance. We arrived late but were helped by staff to organise a take away, which was much appreciated. The riad is slightly out of the main area but still a pleasant walk in to the main square. I found my Strava app worked well and helped us find our way there and back no problem. Don’t rely on Google maps it doesn’t work in the medina. Nice luxuries such as towels by the pool and good WiFi. Pool is big enough for 4-5 people to cool off in, much bigger than we expected. It was a pleasure to meet all the staff and I would recommend staying at Riad Laila . Many thanks

The Riad was like a hidden oasis in a storybook. Each day we would discover new hidden gems. The main area was shaded much of the day for comfortable sitting, eating and relaxing. The sun hit the pool which remained cool in the heat at the perfect time of day. Turtles were found roaming slowly around. The staff was continuously cleaning, smiling and checking in. The decor was authentic, doors and hardware and windows all traditional and beautiful. The rooftop deck area was stunning with additional WiFi if needed. Our room was easily accessible on the main level and it was a family suite with two bedrooms (one with a double) and a sitting area, and a separate bathroom and shower. There was AC in the main room which cooled the whole space easily. But the true gem and positive energy comes from the staff. Starting with Gaelle, the owner, who was 100% responsive in email and messages, the staff — Muhamed especially, answered questions, helped arrange tours and guides, booked the Hamman (scrub and massage), etc. they care for you like family. And the FOOD. The dinner we booked upon arrival was perhaps the best meal we have ever had. Breakfast (standard continental style with a Moroccan twist, with variations on the theme daily) was served with care each morning. We booked lunch too. Delicious… amazing. I would rate higher if I could.

Cons: We truly loved everything. The toilet seat was a bit loose, they can easily fix it. I did have a hard time opening the gate / door with the key but I was turning too hard!

The riad itself is beautiful, a little oasis with all of the plants surrounding the garden.

Cons: This was the worst experience I've ever had in Marrakesh. I had been in touch with the riad for awhile as I was planning to bring a large group next year. The checkin process was very confusing and it was difficult to communicate in English and French. We were shown to our room and then barely ever saw any staff ever again. This is the only time I've stayed at a riad in Morocco and was not offered tea, a map or a tour of the property. Finally when I found staff, I asked if we could look at the rooftop (where we would be hosting part of our event) and she said, "sure, upstairs". No tour, or direction of where the stairs were... Our room on the ground floor was large and beautiful but FULL of flies from the garden. It was incredibly uncomfortable to rest in there during the day because of this. The staff at breakfast was wonderful, but it took at least 10 minutes to find anyone to help us to pay and checkout. The location is less than ideal, especially without a map or any help or instruction from the staff. We got lost and returned to the riad in hopes of getting help, but of course, we were unable to find anyone. Needless to say, I will not be hosting my group here.

Amazing stay at Riad Laila. Staff were super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The mint tea was my absolute favourite! Breakfast service was spot on and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble! We stayed in the suite which was really spacious and loved the traditional Moroccan house vibes. The Riad was super clean and beautiful. Definitely would recommend 🙏

Cons: The only point we would make is around the location. The riad is outside of the Medina centre, whilst it’s a really peaceful location it’s quite a walk to the square. The walk can be quite intimidating as it’s through a residential and local area. We found it uncomfortable at some points and you can get scammed easily if you are not careful. We got used to it by the end and it was good to experience the culture.

Gorgeous Riad which is an oasis from the outside streets. As you enter all you can hear are the birds. The property is really spacious and has a beautiful pool and roof terrace

Cons: The riad is situated in the north west of the medina in a residential neighbourhood. The locals try to scam you by telling you the street is closed. Ignored them, but if you are a nervous traveller, the property may not be for you

I'd highly recommend the Laila to anyone who wants the very best from a laid back and professionally run Riad. (Where have you stayed where the entire set of linen is changed every day!) The place was immaculate. The staff simply could not have been more helpful and supportive to my wife and myself. Nothing was too much. The breakfasts were different to what we normally have (but in a good way). and spot on nonetheless, simply could not fault it!. It is a dead cert that should in the future we return to Marakesh then The 'Riad Laila' is where we will be staying.

Cons: Just a couple of minor (very minor) gripes and in the grand scheme of things, hardly worth mentioning. But feedback is useful and in support of their clear ethic of continuous improvement. 1) When arranging day excursions please do explain all possible costs that will be incurred e.g. when we finished being guided around the Ouzoud falls our guide needed paying (fortunately we had enough cash on us as he did not have credit card facilities). We arranged the trip via the hotel and understood that all costs were to be paid by the Riad, who would in turn charge us on our departure. A minor thing that could have been very difficult had we not been prepared. 2) The shower in our room was impressively a ...... trickle! :-) More water pressure please. Well that's all I have, everything else (and I mean EVERYTHING) was faultless. A very happy, relaxed, Miles & Judith Pearson

This was a superb Riad isolated from the bustle of the Medina. A warm welcome and most accommodating staff were a real bonus. The facilities were great with 3 comfortable rooftop terraces and a delightful pool centrepiece with surrounding garden. Dinner and breakfast were first rate, served in a 'living room' with fine interior decoration and ambience and a lovely open wood fire. The room was well appointed, comfortable and of sumptuous size. Of especial note was the large size of the towels provided - a luxury

Cons: The left hand bedside light switch was weird as it controlled the main lights in the room but not the bedside light. An omelette at breakfast would be most welcome.

The garden and pool area are beautiful. View from the roof terrace is stunning. Terrace is comfortable to relax on and area is very quiet. Unfortunately there is a lot that should be improved in this Riad to make it warm and pleasant place to stay.

Cons: Riad has possibilities to be great however our feeling was that no money was invested in it for years!!!. Rooms feel very cold, A/C is very laud (impossible to sleep when it is switched on) and it was not possible to warm the room up. After talking to the manager (who only comes there occasionally) the cleaning staff put the small heater in the bathroom and the radiator in our room which helped a bit. Beds are very uncomfortable, very hard. Wi fi doesn't work in the rooms and some areas of the Riad. There is no information or warm welcome on arrival, something we experienced in other Riads. Staff tried to do their best but often there is just one person there looking after safety at night and nobody else. The first impression when one walks into the reception area is not pleasant. We felt cold, unwelcome despite of the beauty of the garden area. Pool is also useless as nobody heats the water making it impossible to use in winter months. Again something that has been taken care of in the other Riads. Our bathroom had mold on the walls, and very old carpets. If the owner of the Riad took better care of the comfort of the guests and invested some money into much needed improvements, it would have been a good place to stay. If you book, opt for one of the 3 suites in the main building, try to avoid standard rooms.

The Riad had a very comfortable beautiful courtyard, which was very relaxing to sit in and enjoy time. There's no doubt that the staff was very kind, friendly and polite and were available all the time to help you. Ibrahim the manager who was there for a temporary period was very helpful. Abdu who did the evening duties was very cooperative and helpful. Mariam and her friend were pleasant and kind and Brought a smile on our faces. The breakfast they made was super yummy and filling and we were always given different varieties. If you wanted an egg or an omelette you could always ask as a request and receive the best omelette made. We had a lovely time at the Riad.

Cons: We were a little disappointed as there were no amenities provided in the room. For example, tea, coffee or a kettle to make a hot beverage when needed. Everything was on room service whereas many other places have this provided inside the room free of charge. There was no water provided, we had to buy water. Any tea or coffee ordered had to be paid as well. There was no table in the room nor a waste bin. A table is a basic necessity that was not in the room and we had to eat with the plates on our laps. The shower definitely needs upgrading because it was a very small shower head, which didn't give a satisfying clean feeling. This definitely needs to be changed in order to give a relaxing and much needed cool shower in the hot country.

We had the most amazing time! The Riad is stunning, the staff are wonderful, it was pure bliss. Very peaceful and 99% of the time felt like our own private residence! Stunning!

Cons: For us we loved the location, it’s on the edge of the old town so we could hop over to the new part of the city or walk into the medina depending on what we fancied. If you travel with confidence the location is amazing but I would think walking back at night on your own or maybe as a women may feel quite intimidating.

Absolutely fantastic Riad. The room was beautifully authentic, and kept the heat out even without having to keep the AC on. The little pool brings the necessary relief from the hot inner city, as well as peace and quiet. Everyone from staff is very friendly, and will help you with what you need. The riad was exceptional, in a fantastic location, quiet but easy access to all areas of interest. It was superbly well maintained, really beautifully looked after from the planting to the shared courtyard and balconies. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast very good and the pool a welcome retreat from the heat of the day.

Cons: It was not the fault of the property, nor indeed was it an issue immediately around it, but although Marrakech is a good base for trips to other places including the Atlas Mountains, some people in the city itself are much more aggressive and tenacious when approaching tourists than any other city visited in Morocco.

Absolutely gorgeous! Haven in the middle of the busy medina. Such a gorgeous riad to stay in. So peaceful and the pool and courtyard area is fantastic, we spent a lot of time chilling around the pool to cool off on hot July afternoons. The staff were super lovely and helpful and went the extra mile. Room was spotless, spacious and great facilities. Best place we stayed in Morocco and worth every penny!

Cons: Location wise it's about 20 minute walk to the main parts of the medina and the souks, in a quieter northern part of the medina. We didn't have a problem with this but something to consider if you'd like less of a walk. Breakfast was nice but would have been great to have eggs as an option!

Cons: Just finding it initially. Was 1:30 a.m., just got out of taxi from airport to Bab Yacout and whilst the walk is relatively easy, when you don’t know, at that time, with loads of strangers wanting to suddenly be your friend, we finally had to except help and when we got to destination, it got very tense when my offer of 20 Dihrim wasn’t being kindly accepted. We absolutely loved Riad Laila!!! The garden is a beautiful, quiet oasis and together with the sunny, relaxed roof terras the place to get away from the busy Marrakesh streets. Our room was very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food in the riad’s restaurant is the best food we had in Marrakesh. Do yourself a favour and order the tajine! Truly amazing Moroccan food! But the most heart warming thing to us was the service of the staff who went out of their way to make our stay better than we could have hoped. The riad is lovely - so peaceful, very well presented, lovely room and great views from the terrace. The breakfast was plentiful and just amazing. We ate in on 2 evenings - the first was exceptional, the 2nd not as good.

Cons: The location is quite far from restaurants and the souks (10-15mins walk) and we (2 women) didn't feel comfortable walking out late at night. This was mainly because we had hassle on the way to the riad from local men (17-20yrs) who told us we went wrong and then demanded money. We are seasoned travellers but felt quite vulnerable. The taxi rank (outside the medina wall) is also a 10-15min walk away. The manager was very good and gave us clear directions on how to access the souks and more touristic areas along busier routes which felt better. When we arrived back late from a day trip the night manager came and met us from the transport drop off.

Phenomenal guesthouse in a great location presented by Gaelle and her fantastic team. Nothing was too much trouble and even when we asked for a lunch meal at the last minute, a beautiful platter of skewers, salad and fruit could be prepared. Room was elegantly designed and decorated with great housekeeping every day. Sun terraces were well maintained with comfortable sun vouchers sofas and armchairs to while away the day on. Lower courtyard garden is tirelessly maintained and there are even tortoises wondering around. Very highly recommended, very probably the best riad in Marrakech

Cons: The location is great for peace and quiet though is a little trek from the Medina, about a 20 minute walk from the square. We walked this every day and never needed a taxi but if you did want one it's only a 2 minute walk to the city gate where a local market and taxis can often be found.

Excellent Riad. It was quiet and relaxing there. The breakfast was very good. Mohamed and Abdel were very helpful throughout the stay. On the first day Mohamed gave lots of useful tips about where to go and where to eat. Would return

.We stayed at Riad Laila for a night, a family of 9. Riad Laila was the first place we stayed once we arrived to Morocco Mohammed was extremely helpful and nice in assisting us fine tuning our trip and checked up on us every once in a while, to make sure that we're still ok. Other than him, everybody else in the staff is also professional, and we really enjoyed staying in our room and the great breakfast

There are really no words to describe this Riad, it is most pleasant and most magical place I have ever been. The staff has the friendliest people, all rooms smell amazing and you really feel you have traveled through time! The garden & pool area is significantly lower in temperature so it was most enjoyable when it hit 44 celsius outside. The breakfast was delicious and many options to chose from. However, the best things was the mint tea which really added to the vibe of the property. May I add that we arrived here in a rush, as we just wanted to get away from the first hotel we went to in Agadir and the owner, Gaelle (I think) was so accommodating and arranged for us to arrive 1 day earlier than planned. What a relief it was!! As soon I stepped through the gates of Riad Laila I immediately thought it was the best decision in my life to get there 1 day earlier. Thank you for everything!

Cons: There isn’t a single thing that I didn’t like here.

Third time staying in Riad Laila so I think that speaks for itself. Staff are always amazing-special shout out to Gaelle and Mohammed they can't do enough for you, beds/pillows and rooms are super comfy and great food to boot. Everything is made beautifully and fresh. Riad Laila will always be my choice when visiting Marrakesh! ❤️

Cons: Roof top area closed for renovations, would have been nice to use this area but I'm sure next time I visit I can use it again 😊

This Riad is excellent. Everywhere you look there is something calming and beautiful to look at. The rooms are spotless and a really good size. And the whole place smells incredible. Like just incredible. The courtyard is super relaxing after the chaos of the souks and Jemma Al Fna. Gaelle, Mohammed & Abdil are so friendly and helpful. They recommended a fantastic local guide (Mustapha) and helped us sort out the car that we had booked online. Would love to have stayed longer.

Can’t recommend this place enough! You must stay here if you want an authentic experience in Marrakesh - it is located in the Medina away from the traffic and the street markets, very peaceful yet walking distance to shops, the souks and restaurants. If you are coming to Marrakesh you must give this place a go!

Our family spent a lovely time in Riad Laila where staff is super friendly. Riad is beautifull and confortable, an oasis of tranquility much welcome after touring about in the Medina. Location is great. Great Breakfast every day. Loved it. Thank you Gaelle & all staff.

When booking I had mentioned that it was our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived they made us feel so special. Everything was perfect and you can tell they really care. All the staff were amazing but special thanks to Mohammed. The food was truly delicious. Home cooked Moroccon dishes with Moroccon wine. Catered to my gluten free needs, we had dinner there both nights. They also organised us a walking tour guide. He was also wonderful, ask for Mustapha :) 100% recommend. If we ever come back to Marrakech we will be staying at Riad Laila.

Cons: Nothing, it was all perfect.

Staff were fantastic and very attentive. Location looks a bit rundown but once you enter the riad it is an oasis and completely idyllic. If you want to be close to the square then this may not be the location for you but for me it was perfect. It was a great place to relax after a busy day or hiking or shopping. The riad seems to have its only little forest just so calming and peaceful. Can not wait to visit again.

Cons: You have to decide the day before whether you want dinner so not a lot of room for flexibility. If unable to cook I wonder whether a delivery service to the riad in future for guests that are hungry would be benefitial

A hidden paradise in the old city, I loved the beautiful garden and absolute peace and quiet within it, which is perfect after a day working the hot bustling streets of Marrakesh! Bird song in the morning is great to wake up to. Gaëlle and her staff were all extremely hospitable and helpful, and of course also knowledgable about the city. Overall a great place to stay!

This is the perfect hotel for us as family, the staff at the property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Especially Gaelle, she is a truly champion for what she did to help us during our stay. She was kindly went to train station to purchase the tickets for us, arranging the taxi for us and she even brought down our luggage to the main road, can't get enough to say thank you for whatever she's done for us. The chicken tajine for our dinner was so delicious, they were also provided tasty and healthy breakfast. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, well decorated and equipped with great linen/towel/amenities. But what is the most enjoyable for us as family is the garden and pool. The garden was amazing with big palm, orange trees and even some tortoise around :) And the pool was something special, my sons were enjoying their time there. 5 star property and highly recommended!
