The staff was great and the location for shopping and getting to a lot of the other places were also great.

Cons: That the taxis can not get to the hotel so we had to drag our suitcases along a bumpy road (track) to get to the hotel. It is not suitable for people with physical challenges.

We stayed for three nights on a long weekend and Saeed and Luc were perfect hosts. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts and a great evening meal the first night. So close to everything and pick up point for excursions and food tours a ten minute walk away. We also had an excellent restorative massage at the Riad. If we'd had time we would have had the steam and black soap. Clean, comfortable and well worth the stay. So reasonable too. Thanks again, Luc, for all the advice and help.

Had such a great stay at Riad Hilmuna, the staff were so friendly and helpful! Luc was so great, he helped us find taxis and even hailed one for us to go to the airport, which was so kind of him. We would definitely come back to stay at Riad Hilmuna next time we come to Marrakesh :)

Cons: Nothing !

Location with respect to the media is excellent. Rooms were beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a good. Terrace was an excellent escape from the hustle of the Medina.

Cons: Bathroom sink clogged a couple times.

Great location in the northern part of the medina. Very helpful hosts with transfer arranged straight from airport into the busy streets of the medina, with staff on standby to check us in. Breakfast was accomodated earlier than usual to allow for our morning excursion - it was also delicious! As a whole, the Riad is very well maintained and the staff are brilliant. Thanks.

Cons: The only things I can really note is that its' quite tricky to find, but that can be overcome once you've returned a couple of times. Also there is a bit of an odor in the air, but thats consistent for much of that part of Marrakech.

For us, everything was wonderful during our stay at the riad in Marrakesh. Luc responded promptly to all our requests and helped us with everything we needed: information about places to visit, transportation to Casablanca, airport transfers, and even an early breakfast on our departure day. The accommodation exceeded our expectations — the bed was very comfortable with a great mattress, and the rooms were cleaned daily, all the staff nice and here for us. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with traditional tea and sweets, which was a lovely touch. The small streets leading to the riad pass through areas under construction or a bit run-down, but the location is right in the heart of the Medina and very close to the main attractions — for example, it’s just an 18-minute walk to the Majorelle Garden. It's important to note that the riad is located on a narrow side street, not accessible by car, so we highly recommend arranging an airport transfer to make arrival easier and to be greeted and guided directly to the riad. Also, we recommend dining at the riad at least one evening — the food is delicious! We truly regret not staying more days, as we feel there was still so much left to explore. Thank you for everything!

Staff were amazing. The room was nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was great. Good location to access everything.

Cons: We stayed in the new part of the Riad, which was lovely, but to access the Riad facilities, you had to walk outside and around the corner to the main doorway. It could also be a bit noisy.

Flexibility and friendliness of Luc and all his staff. My wife especially liked ability to practise aqua aerobic exercises in small pool. Meals cooked by Fati were so enjoyable that we ate in nearly every night, contrary to initial intentions to use the good alternatives nearby. Closeness to taxi stations on Rue Gza was handy. Also the Jemaa El-Fna could be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. Prior to this trip we had never visited Morocco having had doubts about enjoying the different culture, but the Riad Hilmuna experience was a very enjoyable and relaxing change. Special thanks also to Rehab and Said.

Cons: Nothing of any note.

The hotel location is good. The owner and staff were very attentive and did their best to help and accommodate me. The owner went out of his way to get my bus tickets to Essaouira and advised me about taxi fares. Said was also very helpful. On my departure day, very early in the morning, he accompanied me to the main road while carrying my suitcase to catch a taxi and negotiating the right taxi fare to the airport for me. The surrounding areas are pleasant with shops, restaurants and bakeries close by. The food was excellent.

Cons: The breakfast time could have been at least half hour earlier.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was very good. Loved the rustic and calm nature. Knowledgeable and very supportive. Especially as a solo traveller. Each day cleaned room and was tidy. Walking distance to most things.

Cons: no car can get access to it so have to walk to main road for taxis etc. Yet walking distance to most things but if you are booking tour that states will pick you up be ready to have to fond alternative pickup point. In addition recommend property to get some do not disturb signes for guests. A few times staff knocked did not hear me and came in. They have cats and as someone who has allergies just need to be mindful of that.

We booked the riad and the airport transfer and all went well. Once there we were warmly greeted by Luc and his very helpful staff. The place is really nice and well kept and the amenities included a mini fridge and kettle also. Breakfast takes place on the roof and is well presented. After our stay they also walked with us to help get a taxi to our car hire point. Highly recommended.

Great communication about the booking throughout, transport from airport arranged by Luc. Lovely welcome on arrival and introduction to all staff made us feel very at home. Breakfast every morning was plentiful either served inside or outside on terrace. Location was in a quiet location and easy walking to all attractions. The Hammam and massage is a must service to experience. We used the restaurant on first night which was lovely food and served by the great staff. You are made to feel at home

Cons: Visitors to the property shouldn’t be put off by the approach to the Riad along small alleyways, these as we found during our visit to be very safe and part of the experience.

The pool was great, if a bit small bit what we expected! What we especially loved were the staff. Every single person went above and beyond for us, Said and his lovely conversations and dinner service, Luc and his wonderful recommendations and the ladies helping us find what we needed and helping us get a taxi back to the airport. Really amazing service that shone through.

Cons: The door to the bathroom is an absolute nightmare. I hit my ankle on it a couple times and it made too much noise and just plan uncomfortable. Removing it would have suited us much better. We were also a bit disappointed with the room compared to the rest of the Riad. Bright colours and plants in the main room but the room was surprisingly beige and boring which was a shame. Other than that no complaints!

Luc and his team are a fantastic team that will give you first class service. From the first welcome messages, meeting up in a close by street when we arrived by their transfer service, to meals and flexibility with all issues, to a cheerful goodbye is worth remembering. Because of this level of service we also took their hammam and massage without even searching elsewhere. And we could check out late thx to this also. Bed was the best possible comfort. All very good.

Cons: Our room was in a new section of the riad where all in the bathroom was not entirely completed yet. Bathroom floor was constantly wet because there was no glass covering the shower. This will fixed soon. Poor or no wifi in the room but it was excellent elsewhere in lobby, on terrace etc. These are minor details in the overall positive context. Walking distance from main souk areas is a bit far if you want to make an extra evening stroll and finding your way back again through the souks but on the other hand the area is calmer so you get away from the busiest parts of the medina which is actually relaxing.

Location, hospitality, breakfast and great value of money. Luc & co esp Saeed, Latifa & all other staff members went beyond to make us comfortable. I had my dinner on my last day at Riad and Latifa cooked Lamb Tagine with Apricot - out of the world! Never had anything like that in my life. The greeting at the Hilmuna was most welcoming and friendly. As with most Hotels /Riads within the medina (old town) be prepared for a wander through some very narrow lanes off the beaten track. There is little to identify out side the location and, as with many hotels/Riads, appears as a solitary door in a narrow street with limited signage(what3words app would help). Once through the door and the very pleasant greeting, we were met with what seemed a mini oasis with equally beautiful furnishing and decor. Our room, on the 2nd floor, was nicely furnished with a large en-suite and comfortable beds and super linen. Breakfast(traditional Moroccan, good coffee, juice breads, jams, honey, fruit, yoghurt), on the rooftop terrace, was a lovely way to start the morning. We were travelling onwards to Essaouria after breakfast, and our host, Luc, was particularly helpful in escorting us to taxi and provided excellent local information on how to get the very good bus service to Essouria(idealyy, book ahead if travelling onward!!). I would gladly revisit.

Cons: It would have been helpful to have a what3words location for the hotel. Better lighting and signage at the door would also be helpful.

FANTASTIC. Just fantastic. Luc, Said, and all his team are caring, thoughtful, kind and fun. The Road is super clean, in a fantastic location to walk everywhere. The breakfast was outstanding, photo below. I ate tea at the Road 1 night and it really was restaurant standard, really good. Salad starter, Beef and fruit tangine, delicious dessert. As it is still warm all food was taken on the rooftop Terrance, a relaxing haven, with luxurious sunbeds, towels and cushions. Spent some hours sitting here in the shade drinking mint tea and relaxing. My room, Jade, wax beautifully decorated, photos again, and so peaceful and pretty, with wonderful air conditioning (it was 32 in October!) . All towels were changed and room tidied daily. Also has safe and mini fridge. Perfect. Whole road was wonderful. Thank you Luc and team.

Amazing Riad in a beautiful neighborhood. Luc and all the staff were extremely nice and helpful, the level of service was similar to a European 5 star hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day and sometimes more than once a day, the common areas were very nice and comfortable. But they overdid themselves on our last day, when we came back for our luggage, visibly tired and hot. The ladies seated us in a lounge close to the patio, put the aircon on and offered us a fresh juice. Later, one of them walked us to the taxi station for our ride to the airport. Regarding the neighborhood, it's inside the Medina and very close to the souk, 3 minutes by foot. The streets surrounding the riad are very quiet and inhabited by locals. In fact, shops and restaurants in the surroundings felt more authentic rather than the ones closer to Jemma el Fnaa. The area felt safe both during day and night.

Cons: As a general advice, the walk to Jardin Majorelle is just 15 minutes by foot, but take a taxi to go there. The modern part of the city gets extremely hot and doesn't provide same shade as in the Medina.

The French owner, Luc, has a bad temper and he takes it out on his guests. When we expressed disappointment that the promised hot tub (as indicated on the website and confirmed via text message before booking) was in fact not a hot tub but a heated pool, Luc flew into a rage and berated us for ten minutes, making hateful personal comments and following me (a younger woman) to my room when I tried to depart the interaction. It was quite shocking and upsetting, and we left immediately. Luc made it clear that being a hotelier is just a hobby for him and not a livelihood - this being the case, he should sell his property to a Moroccan (perhaps one of the lovely staff members) and let this riad become a site of actual Moroccan hospitality.

From start to finish, our stay at Riad Hilmuna was something very special. Communication with the property owner (Luc) to ask questions about access in terms of accommodating a wheelchair were answered quickly and provided me with the reassurance I needed. Luc arranged an airport transfer at reasonable rates and met us on our arrival in the Medina. As other reviewers have said this really is a special place. Everything is done to make your stay absolutely perfect for guests. The staff team work together to ensure that the place is spick and span at all times. We ate our evening meals in the Riad most evenings. Riad Hilmuna is perfectly placed to explore Marrakesh. It’s a five minute walk to the souks and at the end of the day, you leave the hustle and bustle behind to relax in peace and tranquility.

What should I write that they haven't already written before me? Excellent location without cars and noise, which is what we all need on vacation. The accommodation is clean and tidy, great rooms with everything inside. The beds are excellent. The beginning of the Medina is a 5-minute walk, and the center of the Medina is an 18-minute walk. The breakfast is good. aaaaaa Luc ... what can I say... ready for help and advice at any time. Thanks to him, we felt safe and satisfied in Marrakesh. If I could rate the review 15, I would give it a 15.

It’s true what the reviews say, the staff can’t do any more for you. They arranged transport to and from the airport and even made us a 3 course dinner when we arrived at 10:45pm! The Riad is also impeccably clean and we loved the soaps and shampoos that were provided. Free breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They catered for vegetarians very well. Location was perfect for exploring both old town (medina) and new town.

Cons: Mattress on the bed was a little hard

This riad was a labor of love for Luke and his wife. It’s stylish and elegant. The rooms and amenities are clean and comfortable. Luke goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome at the place

Cons: The shower could use more pressure but I notice it was a consistent problem in all of Morocco and is not the fault of the property

Fantastic service by Luc and the team. They made sure our room was always clean and even did our laundry. Breakfast was a great spread and changed slightly each day. Location hard to beat too, as it was short walking distance from the main square and also from the new town. Nice and quiet, whilst still being around the action. Highly recommended.

Cons: Only a small complaint as it didn't matter too much but the heated pool was a little cold for our liking. The rooftop in the sun more than made up for it though

I recently had the pleasure of spending two extraordinary nights at Luc's House in Marrakech, and I am delighted to share that it was an impeccable experience from start to finish. Luc's House is a true gem that effortlessly combines exceptional accommodations, thoughtfully curated amenities, captivating decor, an idyllic setting, and, above all, an extraordinary team that goes above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. The dedication of Luc and his staff to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. Their genuine warmth and eagerness to cater to every request create an atmosphere of unparalleled hospitality. It's not just a place to stay; it's an immersive experience guided by a team that understands the art of making guests feel welcome and valued. The culinary journey at Luc's House is nothing short of a gastronomic delight. From dinners that showcase the rich flavors of Moroccan cuisine to breakfasts that leave you savoring every bite, each meal is a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication to ensuring guests leave the table fully satisfied. Dining at the Riad became an integral part of my Marrakech experience, thanks to Luc's House. Moreover, the location adds an extra layer of magic to the overall experience. Nestled in a prime spot, Luc's House provides a serene escape while remaining conveniently close to the vibrant heart of Marrakech. It strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and accessibility. In conclusion, Luc's House is more than just accommodation; it's a haven of comfort, hospitality, and culinary excellence. My two nights there left an indelible mark on my Marrakech journey, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a sublime retreat in this captivating city.

We were greeted by the driver at the station and dropped off at the Riad where Luc met us and helped carry our luggage. An excellent map and detailed directions by Luc was extremely helpful. Location was very accessible via a quiet and safe street. Breakfast was a delight and plentiful served on roof terrace. Luc and his team of Amina, Wafa, Nihad and Latifa made us feel at home all the time and catered to all our needs and requests. We had dinner on both evenings, absolutely delicious. Also got our laundry done, another great service. For an authentic Moroccan experience, Riad Hilmuna is the best an highly recommended. We also organised airport transfer.

Cons: At Riad Hilmuna, they have paid great attention to detail in terms of decor, comfortable bedding, amenities, bottled water, mini bar, digital TV, clothes dryer, tea and coffee making that there is nothing left to complain or dislike about the accomodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What’s not to like? This place is just delightful from start to finish. Luc and his team go out of their way to look after you and nothing is too much trouble at any point. The bedrooms are well designed, with everything thought of. Beds are comfy and shower is amazing. We had dinner one night at the riad and it was delicious. We enjoyed some pre-dinner drinks the next night on the roof terrace. We also enjoyed a massage organised in our rooms - so relaxing. Luc gave us a great recommendations and booked us the most delicious dinner on our final evening. If you are looking for a riad in Marrakech look no further!

Cons: Honestly, no complaints!

Luc is an exceptional host, always ready to help! I first got surprised by the location, because it was my first time in the Medinah! But the location is safe!

Cons: There's nothing I didn't like.

I frequent many hotels and i never have time to leave a review but i made time for this one. DONT think about it just book it! Unbeatable service at an unbeatable price in a fantastic location near the centre. The staff were so kind i was almost ashamed to ask for anything more. They went above and beyond, increasing our stay last minute twice without any hastle. Truly 5 star experience which is rare in riads, also only 2 mins walk from a main street with parking so you dont need walk forever banging your suitcase in the narrow bricked streets for ages like most riyads in busy medinas. The way the room was prepared was breath taking.
