The hotel was excellent! It was literally the best hotel my friends and I have ever been to. The people at the front desk could be a little more friendly (a bit rude and cold at times), but the servers and the other staff at the hotel were very helpful, welcoming, and hospitable. Still 5 stars all around.

The hotel looks nice and is clean, however I do not recommend this hotel at all. where do I start, from day 1 the service was awful. They advertise a kids club but hardly any activities for them to actually enjoy. The front reception are absolutely useless and are not helpful at all. Avoid this hotel at all costs and I will not be staying here again!

Likes: The hotel is fun enough for your holiday , there’s a room for music performance at night, the beach is really nice and very beautiful too , so many choices of food , about 5 restaurants, I booked the hotel cus it’s all inclusive so I don’t have to stress for food but I didn’t know it covers all the restaurants, exceeded my expectations for food, you can eat in any of the restaurants free, which makes it perfect . Dislikes: The hotel doesn’t have enough facilities for users , the sockets are not the regular sockets that you can plug your device in , although there’s an alternative way to charge but you need a socket to plug anything else , I needed to use my hair straightener so bad and asked the reception if I could get a socket but nothing came till now ( I’m currently still in the hotel, its my third day here and I still haven’t gotten the socket ) Very disappointing . I also forgot my toothbrush and paste because I was in a hurry to catch my flight, I talked to the reception about it but still I couldn’t get any help, big hotel that I know provide dental care but this is different, I had to find a way to help myself. I will write the remaining review at the end of my stay .

Hotel and facilities were excellent. Rooms spacious. Staff were fantastic, always polite, smiling and on hand to assist. Location of hotel is fantastic. Beautiful sandy beach right on your doorstep, such a nice beach. Already miss it. You can watch the sunset which is amazing. Food was good. I have been to all inclusive resorts with bigger options, so this place could have had more variety. Evening entertainment could be better, in my opinion. A little more thought should go into this. I will definitely be returning.

Had a lovely relaxing week here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Great hotel with a beautiful pool area and gardens. Plenty of food & bar options and lovely room. Nice walk to the harbour and enjoyed a trip to the Souk.

I have stayed at this hotel many times but this was the first time during the summer peak, they cannot cope with a full hotel, the service was extremely slow, no water in room, nothing in the minibar (until a staff member tried to get in my room at 10.30pm to restock it, I was traveling alone as on business so this was quite alarming) reception staff were overworked and quite rude. The food and restaurant staff however were great as always. The room was clean and the main reception areas were also well maintained it was just the service.

We went for a five night stay at the hotel. The hotel cleanliness, rooms, drinks was outstanding. The food was disappointing as it wasn’t well catered for vegetarians. The food was mostly the same at dinner time every night. Only two varieties more but other than that it was the same. The food/lunch was at the snack bar near the pool. For it to be a five star like other five stars they didn’t have a buffet in their normal restaurant. The food at the snack bar was mostly the same everyday only that one day it would be fish and nother day pork. The soft drinks in the snack bar were not great at all, tasted all diluted down!the staff were mainly in their own world and not paying too much attention on the tables and what the guests needs are which was personally disgusting. The rooms didn’t have separate body wash, shampoo or conditioner. On the first couple of days there was no soap to even wash ur hands!! Appalling that was! Being a five star and not catering for a five star is appalling. We only had one liquid for washing ourselves and using it to wash our hair too. Disappointing that a shop in the hotel didn’t have any medicines at all not even pain killers. We were told to get a taxi and go into city centre to get some medicines despite my friend being totally unwell.. not knowing if we would be been make it to the pharmacy as my partner diarrhoea and wasn’t able to get out of bed. Unfortunately very disappointing for it being a five star.

The staff were very welcoming and especially pool and waiting staff. Prior to arrival we tried to ask for a transfer. We just had an unhelpful message from the hotel saying “we don’t do transportation” but no suggestions. On leaving we asked reception to book us a taxi for the next day. On the morning of departure it was unclear if one had been booked or not. The taxi driver had in fact been waiting for 30 mins but there was no process to identify him. The gym is ok but no refilling of water or towels. Once a staff member came in to get himself a glass of water and discovered it was empty. He did not return to refill it. There are insufficient toilets for the outside facilities and lunchtime restaurant. 3 ladies toilets only. It is disappointing that the hotel does nothing to dissuade reservation of sunbed culture. In the rooms there is no shampoo only shower gel in a fixed container. The front of our dispenser was broken off and left on the side throughout the entirety of our stay. We used a glass one day from the room. This was removed by housekeeping and not replaced. We found a cockroach in the bathroom halfway through the stay. You have to wear shoes in the room as the floor is dirty. The toilet has Louvre doors that do not close. The drawers do not open due to position wardrobe doors. Beds really hard. The worst feature by far is the food. It is really poor quality & flavour. fish/meat. Repetitive. Odd colours used and gelatine a fav. I had food poisoning for 24hrs.

Had short five night stay here. Overall it was excellent. We were on an all inclusive basis. Our room was a very large king bed room not with a pool view and was overlooking a walkway down to the beach. This was not a problem as there area is generally quiet and for the amount of time we actually spent in the room the extra cost of a pool view was not worth it. The choice of food was excellent. Catering for all tastes and of a high quality in all restaurants. Staff were excellent. Drinks were also excellent with all options on offer including well known brands. Pool area was excellent and immaculate. Pool staff were friendly and helpful. The only two negatives for us were the evening entertainment and our check-in experience. The evening entertainment was not particularly varied and amounted to the RIU activities crew dancing to a variety of themes. The crew themselves were very enthusiastic but a wider variety would be good. Our check-in seemed to takes ages. This I believe was down to a brand new member of staff who clearly had been left to it and was not fully up to speed. Eventually we got to our room and it was not ready. I actually think she’d given us the wrong room as we were unable log into the RIU app under that room. We went for lunch and the room issue had been resolved after a revisit to reception and contact with a competent receptionist. Would not hesitate to return.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 1 week, we loved how attentive and friendly the staff were throughout our stay. The Bar staff were very nice especially Humza who looked after us so well. The Buffet restaurant staff were all very hard working and catering. We were very impressed with the service we got from Youssef from day one. He was so kind and hard working. We also loved the room we had as it was spacious and clean. Check in was straight forward and also check out, we very enjoyed our stay here. Kyle

What a great hotel! First impressions were that this is a huge complex, the rooms are a good size and the view from the balcony was lovely. The pool is a good size, sometimes the sun beds get taken up very quickly but the pool staff are very helpful in finding one (you can reserve them apparently so find out about that if you're there). The entertainment team are exceptional! always full of energy, they have lots of things planned throughout the day like darts, exercise classes, bingo etc and then the evening entertainment is different on a daily basis. Hats off to them as a lot of the staff work throughout the day and then onto the evening but are still full of energy. If there could be any points of improvement id say its important to have an irons readily available (i was on a waiting list and i didnt get a response luckily i found a lovely lady who let me borrow her iron as all my clothes were creased). I would also say it would be great if we were explicitly informed that pork is served at this hotel (being a Muslim country everything else is halal) as i realised only when i happened to look up to the name tag and a saw a picture of a pig, which made me conscious of other items as they didn't always have the correct name tags.

The staff here is the glue that holds it altogether. The property is very nice, but our air conditioning didn’t work and the hotel didn’t do anything to fix it. After complaining a second time, the offered to move us to a room with two single beds, not acceptable. The food is very limited and not of the quality we have had at other higher end A.I resorts and the drinks were not nice. All of the spirits had a very acrid flavour, meaning nice cocktails were out of the question. Overall, a disappointing stay, due to maintenance issues and poor quality food and drink. The staff were amazing though and we cannot rate them highly enough.

From check in to check out 7 days later everything was fantastic. Rooms large and spacious with all the amenities you’d need, safe, mini fridge, tea coffee, views and a big comfortable bed. The staff are excellent and very attentive to your needs, amazingly for a hotel of the size, they remember everyone and make the experience amazing, special thanks to Sarah in the restaurants for making our daughter feel like a princess. Pools are great, one heated at this time of year and direct access to a private section on the beach. Food was fantastic and covered all bases, didn’t have a bad meal at all and a special mention to the Krystal Restaurant, food was out of this world.

The lobby area and outside pool area are beautiful the rooms however are tired and need refurbishment. Our room was dusty and the shower fixtures felt dirty. The location is however perfect and connected to the corniche and beach and very close to the marina and various restaurants and shops. The heater indoor pool and gym are excellent facilities. Slightly disappointed that at an all inclusive five store hotel use of the sauna required an additional charge. Once checked in we were not offered help to our rooms by a member of staff and bags and were just told which direction the rooms were despite the hotel being huge. We initially got lost and had to come back and ask for help. The food at the restaurants was average but the staff were good and were constantly cleaning up and providing drinks. Pool side views from the room were stunning. The hotel rooms however were very spacious and I imagine when initially fitted out very stylish. No gowns were provided or slippers which was surprising. The TV had lots of channels which was great. We did however very much enjoy our stay there and would definitely come back and the hotel from the outside was definitely the most stunning and largest on the corniche and we would not have stayed at any other hotel. The seating in the lobby area was spectacular and we enjoyed lounging there and reading.

From the moment you walk in the staff cannot do enough for you. Spotless throughout. Wide variety of food and things never run out. Waiting staff are superb. There was only one negative issue for me personally and that was I found the bed too hard. Had I been staying 2 weeks this would have been an issue but I am sure the staff would have resolved this had I mentioned it. This is a hotel I will definitely return to.

Very dirty hotel. The room was full of bugs and mosquitoes. We called Expedia and requested to check out the next day. We also provided Expedia with pictures and videos of the dirty room suit they gave us. Unfortunately, Expedia claimed they tried to contact Riu Palace but never were able to get hold of them. Expedia refused to refund our money and ended up making another reservation in another hotel.

Although the kids club was useful, the staff need better training. They can’t just leave the kids and disappear for 15 mins and leave the children with strangers (parents of other children)!

Hotel was really nice, in a great location for the beach and a lovely pomade to walk during the day or evening. Hotel is easy to get to the marina by car and you can see the big mountain sign from the hotel day and night. Hotel was clean and well kept. I only had a few issues with the hotel, Food - although a good selection for vegetarians at the main buffet, nothing was labelled at the salad bar and you had to figure out if things had meat or fish in them or ask. There was a vegetarian hot food area, but there was a lot more of a selection but you had to walk around to find it as it was mixed in with meat and fish. At lunch time they could have done vegetarian burgers or falafel burgers. Krystal Restaurant - was awful! I informed them I was a vegetarian when I booked, it seemed to be an issue for them as they bought me a starter with salmon on it and thought it was OK to leave it on my plate and for me to eat around the salmon. For my main course I had diced carrots, beans with peas , sliced beans and carrots, 2 falafels and potatoes that were cooked as crisps! seriously what a poor effort. I went straight to the buffet only to find the exact same selection. If you are vegetarian I would not recommend either of the al a carte restaurants, the Moroccan restaurant wasn't any better. I would stay at the hotel again, it was nice, chilled out and in a good location, hotel staff were really nice and nothing was too much trouble. Please sort out the food situation.

The overall stay was 8/10... the hotel is perfect sized, its not too big or not too small, we came for 11 nights and loved it here, was great for our kids too (9 months and 4 yrs) they loved it with kids facilities too and the pool area is absolutely amazing with quality sunbeds and pool bar with real tasty mocktails and slushes and coffees.. the service from the bar staff is impeccable.. they work so hard all day in the heat in their uniforms but still serve you with a smile, as do the restaurant staff in the buffets at brekkie lunch and dinner.. they were lovely, particularly 2 girls who always kept holding our son whilst we got food, as did the kitchen buffet staff at dinner.. everyone was welcoming and the staff at reception were always dealing with my queries as fairly as they could and appropriately.. the locations great with a close walk to al the food areas bout 10-15 mins walk from back of hotel. I would definitely come back here.

Gréât hôtel ! Great teams dedicated to their guests. I put 5 stars but during check in, they gave me a suite. I was very happy...but when I entered they was someone else clothings... I had to come back to the reception and they gave a normal ...room. It doesn't matter. Smiling and warm people 👏👏👏

I liked the location there buffet wasn’t too bad and the suite I had was nice but I wouldn’t stay there again because is not well maintained, safe lock was broke, one of my shower head wasn’t working and the other one got little flooded while using it I had to call them to come assist with it and the receptionist wasn’t friendly when I called about it so really for the price we paid it shouldn’t have these issues, as we walked in to the suite first time wasn’t even bottle water, nor any snacks or desert, the toilet only had bar soap not even body gel or lotion, I even asked for house shoes and didn’t carry em they said

Overall I loved the staff and hotel. Food at both restaurants and buffet were outstanding with many different offerings. I initially did not like the first room we were given which was on the ground floor near the pool. We alerted the fron desk and was immediately changed to a higher room with partial sea view which was fantastic. I did not like that there was no room service offered. Nor was there any poolside/beachside service for food or drinks. Other than those two things (which to me are huge) I highly enjoyed my stay!!!

Service from all staff, reception to bar to porter, was very good! Helpful and professional. They even gave us a free upgrade. Property is well clean and well maintained and the back exits right onto the beachfront boardwalk. Parking available. Drinks very good for an inclusive as was the food! Hotel was still quite busy for off season and crowd is very mixed. Advice, make sure to put your DND sign or deadbolt on when in room as they did enter without knocking. Would definitely stay again!!!

The staff was friendly, it was not too far from the airport (15 mins without traffic, about 30 mins with traffic). There were a fair amount of things within walking distance to do. As a female I felt comfortable walking around the area surrounding the hotel alone. The food was delicious and with many options. The snack bar or lack thereof was a missed feature. When it was available it was essentially just leftover desserts from dinner so pretty much no food after 2230.

My wife and I went here for a weekend getaway. The resort is amazing! Beautiful pools indoor and outdoor. Food was fantastic as well. The only complaint that will keep us from ever returning again is the super hard beds that we've found at the RIU hotels here in Agadir.

My stay at the Hotel RIU Palace Tikida Agadir was by question one of most pleasant hotel stays in many, many years! This hotel was recommended by our close friends and it lived up to their billing and then plus some. The Hotel RIU Palace Tikida is an all inclusive hotel and we had our fear and concerns as the last time we stayed the food and drink offered were not on a five star echelon. So we had our doubts and uncertainties. The Hotel RIU Palace Tikida is I think the only five star property in Agadir. Our suspicions were quickly dispelled with our professional check-in and our first meal! Every meal we enjoyed at this hotel were above normal as they were all outstanding! There were actually four different food venues to select from and we sampled each over our 7 day stay. The food quality and different buffet varieties were exceptional. Each lunch we ate at the Restaurant II Mare, which had a great selection of foods served at the various cooking stations and outstanding service. For dinner the first evening we enjoyed a great French Gourmet Fusion restaurant called: Krystal. It had a set menu and the food and service was impressive. The next night we tried the local Moroccan Restaurant called the Marrakech Moroccan, and here we found the food and service to be fair. The next 5 nights we enjoyed large Buffet Restaurant called the La Santal. The buffet varied each night so it was fantastic as there was a large diversity of cooking stations and service was above average.

I think it's the best hotel in Agadir , tha all inclusive is anew experience, all food &!drinks are free!! Magnificent SPA , daily Show . The only set back no night activities such as night club

Took a suit opposite to the Sea , very spacious and excellent design , also noticed other rooms are unconventionally spacious as well!! All inclusive scheme is new to me and all what you can eat and drink is really unique , daily entertainment were short and at night it's like dead people place , no room service was a surprise to me as I'm used to order at night , better to consider it t cost and also to consider night entertainment for the young generations

Except my remote control was out of batteries, everything from the time we stepped in to the hotel was too notch. we tried the international restaurant for dinner. It wasn't that great, however the service was perfect.

This is a Great Resort. I have been to many All Inclusive Resorts in several countries. By far, the Riu Palace Tikida in Agadir, Morocco, is the Best All Inclusive I have been to. I will certainly return and recommend it to my friends and family.

The hotel is conveniently located and clean. Staff was extremely helpful, professional and patient. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet were excellent. The hotel offers good value for money.

We had a fantastic stay - the staff were very friendly and efficient; the food was great - especially the gourmet restaurant, which is included in your all-inclusive package: take advantage of it! The stay and the hotel are at the top of our all-inclusive experiences. We would go back again, and we would recommend it to anyone.

mainly couples from Europe. Felt a little lonely as a single woman. Lovely promenade along the beach in front of the hotel. The hotel is very efficient, professional, an exceptionally well trained,friendly staff. This was a great place for me to relax after touring and traveling around Morocco for a month. Not the place to experience Morocco, but a wonderful get away spot.

We had the worst customer service imaginable at this hotel via an associate named: HAYAT! We were given an awful room that smelled terrible and the AC didn't work! When we went to request a change, the front desk associate who helped us (named: HAYAT) lacked professionalism and was very nasty! She refused to change the room or call the manager for us. Hayat was unfriendly, incredibly rude, lacked customer service skills, and was unprofessional. She told us she will not change our room, when we requested to speak to the manager, she initially tried to pretend to be the manager, when that didn't work, she said that he isn't available and will not be coming to speak to us. We had to wait 3 hours at the front desk and call Expedia in order to get hold of the hotel manager. This kind of customer service is not suitable for a 4 star hotel! Front desk associates are a representation of the hotel, and Hayat was the embodiment of ugly behavior, rudeness, and nastiness. Given our experience with Hayat I would have to say: Do not go here!!! If you have the slightest issue no one will be willing to accommodate you or address your concerns.

Ok so... If you are used to package holiday style 5* hotels then you'll think this is great... If you're used to proper 5* it's ok. Silly things like being pointed in the direction for you room v's shown...nothing massive- just not true 5* . That said staff were friendly and helpful in the main, rooms were spacious snd well appointed, the food was freshly cooked and pretty good for a buffet...lots of live cooking stations, location and pool lovely... Overall good. If you're used to true 5* stick to the sofitel though!

For those who have stayed in this brand hotels before you will find the common themes. They are all-inclusive massive and beautiful hotels that provide a fair value. This hotel is no different. The lobby is massive and a great place to hang out after dinner or a night out. Free WiFi is available in the lobby, restaurants and pool area. There are plenty of restaurants for a weeks stay, any longer starts to get repetitive. You must dine at the Krystal Fusion and Marrakesh restaurants at least once. But make sure to book at least a day early as the 7 & 9pm slots fill up fast. The pool is massive and includes a bar. The smaller indoor pool is a nice touch. The gym equipment is decent and the spa is top notch but the massage from the excursion vendor is a better value. The nightly entertainment is okay as a fallback if you have nothing else better to do. The only real cons were that the bed was exceptionally hard and although there are no smoking signs it seemed that guests were allowed to smoke everywhere but the lobby. Don't be shocked to find guests smoking in the open area outside the lobby, at the pool and the beach. Good luck finding a spot at the beach not littered with cigarette butts.

The location was great in terms of you cannot get any closer to the beach. You do have to cross a boardwalk and have chairs in a sectioned off area of the beach, but as good as you can get. The pool was wonderful. Rooms were clean, great beds and bathrooms. Food was good. Stayed for 5 days and would get a little tired of it after any longer. Spa massage was nice. French is the primary language but all staff could speak english well also. The hotel was not full as it is not high season which made reservations for specialty restaurants easy. Overall great experience.

We have just returned from a one week Christmas break at this hotel. The hotel is well designed, clean and welcoming. The rooms are large and bright with some english language channels on the T.V. All beverages in the in room fridge are included in the all inclusive package and are replenished daily. The pool area is large with plenty of wooden sun loungers and sun cabanas, the pool staff are attentive but not intrusive. The food is excellent, the main dining room buffet really does seem to have something for every taste ranging from pizza to sushi. This hotel was a great choice for a winter sun break.
