Just been to the Jaal Riad . Yes i had read some of the reviews and to some degree yes maybe but abit harsh . The aeroplanes do come across often but with the hotel very near to the airport that is expected . Probably abit of spruce up hear and there but not much. Room is great and cleaned often . Great base for going anywhere or super pool if you want to stay . No problem getting a sun lounger if required. As always you'll have the put the towel on brigade . Found the food good , although abit on the cold side but there is a microwave . Must say a special thankyou to Aimen and the young lady who helped us tremendously and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable . Will be staying there again .

We booked this through jet2 and we’re not disappointed. We read many negative reviews before departing but it certainly didn’t put us off. We were more than happy with the food every day as even though some dishes might have reappeared there was alot of choice. Arguably some of it could have been hotter. The Terraz restaurant was very good. Waiting staff were pleasant but sometimes slow to serve or show interest if you wanted more wine or water. The Rose wine was the best. White tasted like vinegar. The bar was always busy and you had to queue but there were other areas you could take your drink and sit. Evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable. The room was clean and tidy and very spacious. We had no issues with house keeping apart from one day when the hand soap was not refilled and we had to ask reception. The pool was lovely and large and while the water was cold, once in and swimming you soon warmed up and it was worth it. The spa was lovely and the hamman treatment was spectacular. The only drawback was there was much dialogue in explaining every stage but it didn’t impact on the experience. We did some trips with jet2 and through Viator and were impressed every time - pick up and drop off at the hotel. We did take a taxi to the city. Concierge was helpful in hailing one from over the road, however the driver didn’t speak much English and decided not to drop us where he’d been directed and instead dropped us outside his mate’s shop in the city. We didn’t go in and walked off to where we had wanted to go but he warned. The area was pleasant - a lot of construction got by on - but we walked round the block a few times and took in the shops including a supermarket. Look out for the birds - they fly round the restaurant and the corridors. Quite sweet bit some people may not like that.

Please take note: this hotel is never a 4 star + hotel, at best 3 star. the hotel was very tired, dark and dismal, the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable, we had to request additional cleaning of the bathroom and balcony. There was always the smell of drying in the toilet. With regards to food, oh my word, Luke warm coffee and food, if you like stews you were OK, we were served the same soup for 4 out of 7 days. The sweets were always the same oranges, pommegranit , and the same cake selection. Waiter service was not very good, With regards to the bar, service stopped at 11pm, and on one night no beer was available. One concern was that many of the floor tiles with inside and outside the hotel were broken and or cracked. Whilst the outside area of the hotel was a really nice set up, the pool was very cold, you could use the indoor pool for a charge of £25. The pool towels were a bit threadbare as were the dressing gowns in the room. At outside pool bar you had to pay for several menu items, this is not an all inclusive package. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On the plus side the beds were comfortable, and we did have an issue with our luggage, which with the help of Amien who is absolutely brilliant was resolved. FAX

Had a lovely 5 night break with my partner, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We stayed on an all inclusive basis but when we booked we’re not aware that the heated indoor pool was not included which was a bit of a let down. Food can be a bit hit and miss and we found the lunchtime buffet menu was much better than the evening. We only ate at the pool bar one lunchtime but surprised that some things on the menu you had to pay for. You could get a chicken burger with the all inclusive but not a beef burger or a Caesar salad. The all inclusive drinks were good especially the beer and the red and white wine. We definitely got our moneys worth when it came to the drinks. Room was beautiful and very clean, bottled water left every day, massive big bed, lovely shower with really nice toiletries. We never had to get up early for a sun lounger there was plenty available. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would consider coming back to the hotel for some winter sunshine.

This is part 1 of the review as we are currently still staying at the hotel. Issues: 1: The food choice within the hotel, the same things every day for breakfast lunch and dinner . 2: Hard the find a clean prep table that’s not being used 3: Staff are warm and friendly, but sadly management not so and don’t welcome a women’s view of how a 5 star hotel should be. 4: Rooms are noisy, doors banging and you can hear people talking in the hallways, not a peaceful relaxing place to stay. 5: Many many hidden extras, for food, drink, swimming pools and towels! As in some all inclusive hotels occasionally they charge for premium brands of alcohol, this is one of them. If you only want a snack for lunch instead of going to the restaurant, beware you will have to pay as food at this time as you are required to dine in the restaurant. But in saying that the pool restaurant isn’t all inclusive many items are not included like the Caesar salad or a burger you need to pay for no matter the time. Towels for the pool are not included you are required to pay 200 dirham per towel, Coming later in the season means the sun isn’t so strong so the outside pool doesn’t get warm. You’d be right in thinking that’s ok the hotel has an indoor pool, but guess what you are required to pay to use this!! Today is my birthday and are booked into the hotels Italian restaurant, I wonder where extra will be in store for us there…… part 2 come…..

8 of us, on a golf trip, 4 twin rooms. Hotel is beautifully designed, with many seating areas and quiet spots to hide away. The room was spot on, nice shower and spacios separate toilet. Wifi worked well. Taxis were easily available. Staff around the reception were helpful. Staff in the restaurant needed a little bit of cajoling at evening meal to bring some wine to the table. Cleaning and bar staff were good. I will go into a little bit more detail regarding the food, seeing as we were all inclusive. The main bar was great - good service. Food - the choices at evening meal could have been better.. I get the feeling that unless you were there as it opened, the choice and amount diminished as the evening went on. (Note* we would arrive at 7.45- 8pm). Cold starters (salads etc) were good but you often had to cobble a main meal together, ie mash would have been nice, but there isnt any, so rice will have to do. We only had lunch once and that had a great selection. It may be that as it was late in season they wound it down a bit - I don't know. We booked one of the two a la carte restaurants for one of the nights. It was the Italian. We went up there, and it was in darkness. Not a soul. We all laughed about it, but we never did get our meal there as we only had one night left and had other plans. The afternoon bar and snacks by the pool were great, ideal. Breakfast for me is simple, however, an item that they had in the beginning of the week disappeared and never came back. Oh well. I booked a massage. - spot on. Would I come again - yes. If I read reviews after this that the evening meal is better than I described, that would help.

Just back from a wonderful, relaxing trip at Jaal Riad. The staff were helpful. Food good. Everyone was so friendly. Only a short taxi ride from the Medina so easy to go sight seeing. Would definitely like to come back

No Chat GPT here just straight from the heart. I travelled to Marrakesh twice and stayed in the Jaal Riad resort on both occasions. The fact that I came back a second time speaks volumes. The first time I came was in July 2025 for 9 nights with my family (yes my 24 year old daughter and 19 year old son decided to invite themselves 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣). We had such a fantastic time that by day 8 I was so depressed that we had to leave so we extended the stay for a few more days. We said we would be back and this time myself and my wife Pina came this month for 5 nights to celebrate our 25 years of Marriage. Our experience was even better the second time round. Why do I love the Jaal Riad so much. One word the STAFF. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and cater to your needs. What did it for me was a lot of the Staff remembered our names. The food this time round was even better than the last time. Yousseff the chef made some fantastic curry dishes 10 out of 10 that butter chicken was amazing. Foulouh from the Pool bar was very helpful. Simo Christ and ayah and Jabal in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Monciff in the restaurant, always made sure we were catered for. Rannie, Khaleid and Aimen at reception were always friendly and helpful. A special mention to the bar staff. Salem and Noredine. These guys are amazing. Great craic and banter with them and are amazing at their jobs. Young Amin and Whalid are very friendly and helpful at their jobs in the bar. The cleaner that cleaned our room had the place spotless. Great job. I’ve already booked to come back in July 2026 with the family for 12 nights and more than likely do a few days in March 2026.

I read many reviews before staying here and wish I had listened! This hotel is not a 4 or 5-star resort by any standard. It has potential but is in serious need of refurbishment - from the cracked pool tiles to the tired, worn-out bedrooms. Cleanliness & Condition: The pool area is poorly maintained — no tables, plastic glasses scattered around, and dilapidated sunbeds. The pool itself was freezing, definitely not inviting. My mattress was faded, and the towels were dirty and threadbare (and yet they ask for a deposit for them!). The rooms felt unhygienic, and I'm glad I had my own wipes. Service: The service is almost non-existent. Our safe didn't work, and it took me three trips to reception before anyone fixed it. When we asked about a late checkout, we were told the hotel was full. Food & Drink: The breakfast experience was poor. On our first morning, there was no explanation about what was on offer (which wasn't much anyway). The "meet and greet" staff preferred chatting to colleagues instead of helping guests. Breakfast mainly consisted of pastries and bread. The bar menu had no prices or descriptions, and there was no one collecting rubbish around the pool. You'll find beer and gin, but no idea of the brand or measure. Atmosphere: The music around the pool felt like being on hold at a doctor's office — repetitive and annoying. When a group of Italian guests arrived, suddenly there were more managers than teaspoons, so clearly staff attention depends on who's staying. Other annoyances: * Key card stopped working before check-out time * No tables by the pool No sense of 5-star service or standards To qualify as a true five-star hotel, a property should deliver luxury, service, and attention to detail — all of which were sorely missing here. Bottom line: This hotel could be amazing, but right now it's a long way from five-star quality. Aimen was a real front face for customer service, but when I showed him the dirt in the bedroom nothing was actioned. The response for the his review will be the standard of all the previous, and no action takes place- just words!!!! What a shame.

Horrendous hotel. Aggressive management. No labelling for allergies whatsoever, no help with this issue, broken tiles around the pool, have to get up at 5am to get a sunbed. Food was disgusting when we could actually eat it. Came home with campylobacter infection and was in hospital, unwell for weeks. Please do not ignore the bad reviews, this hotel is awful.

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful room (deluxe pool view), spacious and comfortable. Lovely bathroom, although it lacks a magnifying mirror. The pool is superb and huge, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The staff are cheerful, kind, and efficient. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied. As for the other meals, there’s a good selection, though a bit repetitive. There’s a lack of fruit options at lunch and dinner, although there are many excellent pastries. It would be nice to have yogurt, fromage blanc, ice cream… or simply some cheese. Thank you so much to Aimen and Rhania for your warm hospitality. This is my second time staying at the hotel, and everything was great — just a small note that the mirror in the room could use replacing.

Spent a wonderful few days until I got terribly ill. The hotel staff, especially Aiemen were phenomenal in taking care of me. He checked in on me every 2 hours, ensuring that I had everything that I needed even when he had gone off duty for the evening. First thing in the morning, he was back to check in on me and arranged a late check out as I needed to rest before my flight back. Aiemen is absolutely an asset to the resort and will highly recommend this resort. Customer care and satisfaction was always top of mind. Fantastic resort, staff and facilities.

Booked through Jet2 on an All Inclusive Plus package. Firstly, I want to say that I do not recognise the hotel based on the previous negative comments about the Jaal Raid. My partner and I had a fantastic week, totally relaxed and recharged our batteries. We were in Room 1040, 14/10 - 21/10. We arrived around midday and were warmly welcomed and served mint tea while completing the check in process. Our room wasn't quite ready so were invited to take lunch in the main restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and kept so clean - saw staff cleaning every area, every day. Obviously housekeeping will always prioritise room changes before daily visits and we had no problem with our room being refreshed later in the day. We enjoyed the food - lots of variation and happy to say an absence in the restaurant of "british staples". I simply don't understand how anyone would be moaning about the food unless of course you are looking for burger and chips at every meal. Some things were not to my taste but I always give everything a go. The staff were lovely - took our drinks order immediately and poured water for us. Both waiting and kitchen staff greeted us at every meal. Pool bar staff worked hard and were constantly busy but still managed good service. Food was good and only a few items had a surcharge for those on AI. The pool area is kept very clean and there were enough sunbeds to go around - you will always find people putting towels out at 5am wherever you stay. The evening bar was great - brilliant atmosphere and a good selection of drinks and the female singer had a wide repertoire. The karaoke was hilarious - we found that not all Italians can sing "Volare" :D I had a very enjoyable and relaxing session in the Spa - Hamman and Massage. The price a little less than here in UK. People have mentioned the noise from the planes - we really never noticed the planes until the Saturday which seems to be a very busy day and a different flight path but after a few cocktails, we forgot about them. The location is outside of the city centre in an area of development. There is a shopping mall about 10 mins walk away with a range of shops and a supermarket. The stand out for us is definitely the staff team across the hotel. Everyone was friendly, helpful and clearly wanted us to enjoy our holiday. I want to say a special thanks to Rania for all her kindnesses and going the extra mile and the same for Salim in the evening bar - what an entertainer!

Jet2 Holiday. Lovely looking hotel with variable attitude and helpfulness of reception staff including the more senior personnel. Individual staff through the hotel also varied in pleasantness from extremely helpful and friendly to uncommunicative/miserable. Food mostly looked ok (we were B&B) but let down by the availability of plates, cutlery and mugs. Dishwasher not working properly (mugs stained and grubby). Had an excellent meal in the Cat restaurant and a good one in the Moroccan restaurant. Bedroom/bathroom very clean and serviced daily. Pool area very pleasant. The hotel is under the flight path from the nearby airport so was noisy outside at times. All in all a good holiday. We had pre-booked a couple of trips - a walking tour of Marrakesh and to Essaouira which were both excellent. A third trip we cancelled - exhausted after 4.30am Airport check.

This was my first solo trip to Marrakech and my first time in Morocco, and as a younger girl travelling alone, I couldn’t have felt more looked after thanks to Julien. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel so welcome and comfortable — always checking in with me throughout the day and even in the evenings to make sure I was okay. She’s genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and went above and beyond for every guest. Her warmth and care honestly made my time a million times better and turned what could’ve been a nerve-racking solo trip into such a special experience. The food was lovely, and the bar staff were so friendly in the evenings, always creating such a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people — especially Julien who truly make it unforgettable. ❤️

Billed as a 4* resort, it is most certainly not. Our deal was advertised as an “All Inclusive Plus” entity, hmm it was most certainly NOT. Now, while we did have a most welcome good restful holiday, it had its stressful and disappointing moments. The ‘hotel experience’ was more 2-3 star. The location is okay, little around the place but it’s only ten minutes to the city. The establishment looks fine on the surface and the rooms ‘okay’ but bathrooms etc a little tired and in need of refurbishment. The pool and public spaces are pretty good although they could do with a few more beds and parasol covers although the latter would be more of an impediment for the true sun worshippers. The staff are friendly but the obvious need for better training and management is evident in every corner of the place. Staff are slow, less than attentive, tend to consult their phones rather than the customers and gather in packs while tables need cleaned and set. The management by large seem to be ineffective with a couple of exceptions. When the ‘suited’ boss was present in the restaurant, the staff seemed to move quicker. The actual eating experience however leaves a LOT to be desired. Regardless of how early or late we had breakfast, we had to set our own table by scavenging from others where a place setting hadn’t been used. The breakfast selection looked extensive but it was simply countless versions of the same thing, few of which were appetising to any degree. The juices are coloured water, the semolina soup is repulsive, no cereals, berries, nuts, oats or seeds. The lunch experience was worse still. Leftovers from the previous dinner service, dry, overcooked again, far from appetising. When we took the time to mention this, we were told that they would prepare us something. Kinda missed the point of mass catering. We tended to eat at the pool bar but a couple of weeks of burgers and sandwiches does not a healthy diet make. The Pool Bar? This was where we first found we had a different definition of ‘All Inclusive’. In the first instance we were told that from when it opened at 11am unto 1430, we had to pay for any food or snacks and the “free food” (yes, they dared to call it free food), was only served after 1430. This caused great consternation among the many guests of all nationalities. I should also note that this was not advised either before or during check in. Oh and some items on the menu eg a beef burger came complete with a £10 surcharge regardless of the time or guest status. The staff at the pool bar seemed a bit more alert than the other restaurant. Perhaps they simply had time to wake up. Dinner service : much like the breakfast and lunch experience but again, the staff seemed a little more awake and attentive. There is a very definite need for training and I refer not only to the floor staff but to the management themselves. The choice and quality of the food on offer differed wildly for day to day. The one highlight of our week was the Asian evening where the cook in charge of ‘curries’ was allowed to make a couple. They should be mandated by law never to be allowed to make Sushi. It was poor poor poor and so rubbery you could play ping pong with the stuff. I’m sure the chicken casserole thing was simply topped up daily much like the courgettes three ways. Not a bad salad bar but not great either (though it was missing some essentials most hotels tend to get the salad bar (and breakfast bar for that matter) right, but not the Jaal Riad, mediocre. The Bar area is exceptional as are the bar staff. It has a great old world ambience and service is cheery and efficient. The single complaint would be that even the alcoholic cocktails in them BUT if requested the guys will make them to order. 10/10 to the bar for service and attitude. Back to the ‘All Inclusive’ definition. Our deal allowed us to frequent one of the two A’la’carte eating establishments per week of stay. First was the Italian which was well appointed, lovely staff and a good menu. The lighting could have been more mood inspiring though, ie it was lit like a works canteen. The food chosen was excellent proving that they did have competent cooks on the premises. However, alongside possibly 60% of the menu items there was a price. This was the supplement to be paid and ranged from £6-£12. Now pay attention, that wasn’t the price but the supplement. All inclusive deals in my experience are just that, all inclusive. The price being already paid up front, there is nothing more to pay unless you want top shelf drinks or perhaps room service. The second speciality restaurant was the Moroccon and this was ‘okay’. Again, supplements were featured against the most desirable items on the menu and did I mention the wines on offer at £50/bottle. The ‘free’ wine had to be specifically requested. The constant use of the term free by the staff was infuriating. And then at last, we found ourselves at checkout and unlike check in, there were no welcoming smiles or even a begrudged good morning. We get a better reception at our local supermarket. Supplement bill paid, towel deposit cards provided we made our way to the airport leaving the hotel experience in our dust. Now, Private Transfer? We were picked up at the airport by a chatty local, taken to the airport in a spotless people mover and couldn’t fault the attitude de or service provided. Back to the airport, much like the checkout we were shown to a pretty dirty small vehicle that I suspected was a local taxi, the driver didn’t utter a word and delivered us much like an Amazon parcel left on your doorstep. Now, relieved to be at the airport, we completed the hurdles of check in, security and immigration to find ourselves in a very well, if expensive departure lounge. Having been too early for breakfast at the hotel we both had a sandwich (different fillings) and my wife not much later found herself ‘losing’ hers on the plane and trying to cope with cramps, nausea and a temperature which lasted another 24 hours. We had a great time but won’t be heading back to the Jaal Riad any time soon. One last comment. If you find yourself there, DO NOT take the arranged tour around Marrakech. This cost us £108 and we could have had a much better experience, tour and food etc had we taken a taxi there and back at less than half the price. We did meet some nice folks though. Thankyou, happy travels.

We had one night here before our week in Club Med. it was very convenient as we arrived on a late flight. The place is lovely and the ambiance a delight. Although the bar was closed when we arrived, we were able to get a much needed drink there. Breakfast was fine but there was quite a bit of grumbling by other guests about poor service. Not a problem for us but you are literally locked out at 10.30 so don’t expect anything after that - not even a top up. They have a towel on bed culture here which I really don’t like. Guests were out there incredibly early grabbing the best beds which they left empty for hours. No shortage of beds though. It is on the flight path which does impact the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. A very good choice if you need to be near the airport as it is less than 10minutes in a taxi.

My husband and I stayed at the Jaal Riad Resort between 11–16 October, and we had an amazing, memorable experience from start to finish. From the airport pickup to our arrival at the hotel, every staff member made a wonderful impression. The taxi driver, the receptionists, and the porter were all incredibly friendly and polite, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The resort itself is stunning—designed to resemble traditional Moroccan riads with tasteful modern extensions. This was a huge plus for us, as we wanted to immerse ourselves in the country’s unique architecture, culture, traditions, and cuisine. Each room is beautifully and uniquely decorated, and the resort offers plenty of quiet corners for those seeking peaceful, reflective moments with loved ones. The bars, pools, and evening entertainment were all excellent. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently welcoming, helpful, and kind. Special thanks to Julien and the hotel managers, as well as the restaurant and bar teams. The waiters and waitresses were magnificent—always smiling, attentive, and eager to help. We were keen to explore traditional Moroccan cuisine, and we were delighted with what was offered. A special moment for me was when, thanks to a tip-off from my husband, the restaurant staff surprised me with a birthday song and a beautifully baked mini cake with a candle. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly made my day. Our excursions to the old and new Medina, the Agafay desert for quad biking, camel rides, and dinner in a tent were unforgettable highlights of our trip. There are so many staff members I’d love to thank personally, but I unfortunately didn’t catch all their names. Everyone—from reception to the bars and restaurants—was exceptional. I will definitely return to Marrakech and wholeheartedly recommend Jaal Riad Resort to friends and family. Kindest Regards Mrs. Yetty Ejere

We stayed at the Jaal Riad from 3-10 October and had a great experience. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and polite, french is the second spoken language but most do speak English. First impression of the hotel was beautiful, the overall design and keeping with traditional Moroccan architecture with modern uplifts was really eye catching and gave personality to the resort. The rooms were lovely and had a feeling of Moroccan authenticity with the attention to detail in decor. The maids cleaned the rooms daily, replenished the towels and left fresh bottles of water. We were all inclusive which we enjoyed, the breakfast there was plenty to choose from and didn't feel overwhelmed with too many options, lunch was salad based with some hot dishes and dinner was predominantly Moroccan themed but lovely. We tried the Moroccan restaurant in the hotel which was really nice, food was lovely and staff within were attentive. The Italian restaurant was not Italian food we would expect in Britain but I assume a Moroccan take on Italian so limited options and in my opinion the pizza was a bit bland. The pool area was big, clean and well maintained. We had no issue getting a sun bed in the morning or mid afternoon. The food at the pool restaurant was lovely and staff were friendly. The only thing that slightly bothered me was a few days into our holiday there was a convention for french companies within the hotel and the red carpet was rolled out which is fair enough, but we did notice an uplift in variety of foods, drinks and overall entertainment around the hotel. Being all inclusive this did slightly bother me as it shouldn't take any form of convention for the hotel to make maximum effort but it didn't dampen our holiday. Id stay at the Jaal Riad resort again.

Prepare yourself for a long review. Positives: It was wall to wall sunshine most days, very hot at 39 and 40c, and that is about it. We arrived at 22:15 after a delayed flight from Bristol with Easy Jet. Too late to get anything to eat but that was fine. We were taken up to the room ours was 2144, and upon first glance the room looked fine. The balcony was tiny overlooking the pool with just one chair and a small table. Room: Air conditioning - we were unable to really get it too be cooler but it meant that we just left it on all the time. We had a comfy bed and good pillows, clean sheets. Fridge in the room and water bottles left each day. Cleanliness: The room was not cleaned to a good standard, the mirrors in the bathroom and the wardrobe were filthy, the surfaces were not wiped clean and the floor was not swept. It was mopped we think as you could see footprint marks that had dried. We had to keep asking for clean towels, as they would take away our towels, (even though we had not put them on the floor for changing), but then they were not replaced in time, bearing in mind this is late in the afternoon/early evening when you want to take a shower. I called reception and asked for towels, which were brought reluctantly to the room by a female manager, and I was asked if I had left them by the pool!! I advised not as we had pool towels, (there is a charge of 400 Dinah but you get this back when you return the towel card at checkout) she then asked to take a look in the bathroom, not sure what the point of this was, but I agreed and once she had looked in the bathroom she handed me the towels. Perhaps they have had an issue with people thieving the towels? The worst part about our room is that we had a number of COCKROACHES and when I say they were big, I mean they were huge. I had more than a few screaming moments, especially when using the hand soap in the bathroom, as I pressed the soap one fell onto the sink area and ran like a speeding bullet. We disposed of 5 all in all. We had reported the cockroach problem to reception and they said they would put spray down but they never did as nothing was moved around on the floor. Restaurant was not overcrowded and we always found a table, the waiting staff were very polite. Tables were clean, a choice of meals that were quite repetitive, and some were really tasty, however what was not good was the fact that what should have been hot food was lukewarm at best and sometimes just cold . Sparrows in the all inclusive buffet area , with nothing to stop them flying in or a cover and you know what birds do naturally,,,, yes exactly just above the dishes uncovered. Breakfast was fine but disappointed there was no cereal offering with milk. The pastries were absolutely delicious, but they same everyday. Fruit choice was melon and sliced oranges, every day. No bananas or other fruit to choose. Pool bar: If you were 'all inclusive' you had to wait until 2:30 in the afternoon to be able to order food, and some choices e.g. beef burger came with a supplement. If you wanted to pay full whack to have food earlier then you could order from 12 and pay for it. The poolside pastries were put out at 4pm BUT we never ate a thing from this table as they were all left uncovered and I am not exaggerating when I say there are about 20 sparrows or more feeding off the plates and sitting in the roof space right above the food, and as I mentioned before you know what birds do naturally and we saw it land on the food yuck! The pool bar staff apart from one older waiter were extremely rude, unless you were maybe French or Russian and their customer service improved greatly for some strange reason. Large pool area which was very welcome to cool off in, but the sunbeds mostly were wooden and old and practically falling apart. In the morning you had to wait for the millions of ants to disappear. The covers were filthy. No poolside service apart from one day we saw some waiters come around with some drink and some fruit on a stick. Evening bar, didn't have to queue long for a drink but the drinks were very weak in taste. I drink Smirnoff vodka, but I could hardly taste it. I asked for a baileys as i had seen it poured for one customer but was told that it was at a price, which I can understand. The white wine was OK and not too acidic. The rose was also quite pleasant. We booked and ate in the al a carte Italian- the food was very nice but we ended up paying a supplement on our 2 starters and one main meal (£30) which you don't really expect but the server did point this out when we ordered. We booked a trip with easy jet, to go into Marrakech for an evening to have a guided tour and a meal with entertainment. £43 pounds each. The transport was 30 minutes late arriving which was fine as we had a downpour that afternoon. The traffic was just a nightmare no lanes, I literally was scared out of my skin. For some this might be a fab experience but for us it was just awful. We couldn't wait to leave and get back to the resort. We kept our room on from 12-5pm as we had a late pick up it cost us 800 Dinah around £65. It was worth it not to have to wait around the resort. We booked this holiday with easy jet and paid £2,100 for 2 people for one week with an upgraded pool view room, so I suppose that to expect 5 star standard for the price was a bit naïve of us, as they say you get what you pay for. I know that some reviews give glowing praise, so some people might think we are being picky but I don't and I have really given my honest opinion. If we knew what it was going to be like then I would have cancelled the holiday . We were looking forward to sampling Moroccan tagine food and we were glad that it was not going to be a brit all inclusive experience but it wasn't for us. We won't be going back to the Jaal Riad. Finally I don't need the management team to comment as they have done on previous reviews, as it won't change anything. If there was one thing they could change is to put a microwave in the restaurant so that you can heat up your food to your liking if you like your food served hot.

Good location, rooms are a little basic. I didn't like the rooms very much as they aren't very traditionally moroccan. Ok

Just a short drive from the airport we arrived at the Jaal Riad. What a welcome we got. Our rooms we absolutly luxurious, clean and the bed was huge. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Regarding the food, its not UK so dont expect fish n chips, english breakfast. Just enjoy the Morocan cuisine, with French influences. I cannot recomend the hotel enough. I cant remember the names of the staff individually, but they were all fantastic. We booked a private trip into marraakesh with the hotel which was fantastic, our guide took us to places we wouldnt have been able to find. The evening entertainment was great in the bar. Thankyou Jaal for such a wonderful holiday. xxxx

Very disappointed in this hotel. This is not a 5* I believe Jet2 have now lowered the rating on this hotel since I booked. On arrival we had to wait to check in. At first glance the rooms looked spacious, but once we started looking around it was clear it wasn’t a 5*. The toilet was dirty, the grout around the sink was coming away and there was mold in the bathrooms. The pool toilets were disgusting. Some had no toilet paper, there were toilets that wouldn’t lock, broken light switches, broken toilet flushes. There were not enough sun beds. Some of the sun beds were broken, and all of the cushions on the sun beds were filthy, clearly never been washed. Some tiles around the pool were broken. The breakfast buffet was good, lots of options. However the staff on the hot food counter were rude. For lunch the pool bar was the better option, food was freshly cooked. The evening buffet was inedible, I was looking forward to the traditional food, but when I tried the food it was extremely dry and overcooked. Trying to book into the à la carte was extremely difficult. We kept getting told to come back in a few hours and book. Eventually we got a table, and the restaurant was empty (this was something we heard off a lot of quests). The service in the à la carte was slow, and once again the food was awful. Not worth trying to get in. The queues for the bar are ridiculous, the hotel is not set up for the amount of guests. If you want to drink outside of an evening it’s very difficult to get a seat. Lots of people just sat on the walls around the outdoor seating area. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Jaal Riad is a stunningly beautiful Moroccan hotel, showcasing traditional Islamic architecture with the finest attention to detail. The high ceilings and elegant design create an immediate sense of grandeur. Our room was spacious, with a large comfortable bed and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were consistently courteous and welcoming. Special thanks to Abdul, the personal trainer, who was outstanding; Julien, the entertainment coordinator, who was always attentive; and the concierge, who offered excellent advice for our excursions beyond the hotel. The gym exceeded expectations — much larger than the photos suggest — and equipped with the latest Technogym machines. The spa facilities were superb, and the outdoor pool was vast, surrounded by comfortable loungers perfect for unwinding. Dining was a highlight. The Cat restaurant served Italian dishes of Michelin-star quality, with excellent service. The buffet restaurant offered an extensive variety of options, while the Moroccan restaurant was among the most beautiful venues I’ve ever dined in. A special mention to Ishmael, whose service was exceptional. The only slight disappointment was that the food itself didn’t quite match the elegance of the setting. Overall, this is a truly beautiful 5-star hotel, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Marrakech.

Beautiful setting, fabulous pool, very clean but extremely pricy. A bottle of water is 5euro compared to 50c outside the hotel! Food choices are limited and trying to get a table at one of the restaurants in the evening is difficult, it feels like the only real option is a very limited buffet. When we eventually got into one of the restaurants, after booking online we had to negotiate with reception to get us a table, then we had to wait 30 mins before we could sit down and then we had to wait 1 hour before our food arrived and the bill arrived to our table straight after our main course without option for desert. It was out last night and had hope for a special evening but it definitely wasn't, would recommend leaving the hotel to eat in the evenings otherwise you will be disappointed. The bar food is fine but very limited and expensive, there is a shopping mall 15 min walk with a food court, we found on last day. Food more reasonable and a nice change. The hotels advertises yoga but when I asked at reception I was sent to the spa and when I asked at spa I was sent back to reception. I asked again at reception and was sent back to the spa, at this point I gave up, really disappointed because I was expecting to do yoga on my holiday. They advertise discounts but we paid full price for all our food and spa treatments so not sure how you avail of the 30% discount in the spa, didn't seem to be available to us or the 15% discount in restaurants? There is no airport transfers, you need to get a taxi and there are no transfers to the medina you need to taxi if you want to go, taxis are easily booked at the front gate, a bit of haggling required for the return trip. I would have hoped for more for the price of this hotel!

Having booked without reading the reviews, we were a bit concerned when we read the negative reviews but the concerns disappeared on arrival at the resort. We were met by Eamonn (hopefully spelt correctly) who was so friendly and helpful. Throughout our week, he was brilliant with his advice. Chris the porter was a good laugh and helpful too. We never had a problem getting a sun bed at any time of the day. The food in the main restaurant and the pool bar were very good and the service from Maunssif, manager at the main restaurant and Khadija and Ibrahime at the pool bar was great. We had a wonderful week and met some lovely people. Thank you to all the great staff. Would thoroughly recommend the Jaal Riad Resort.

Just back from a week's holiday at the Jaal Riad, Marakesh with my daughter. We booked with Jet2. They had representatives on site every other day, although we didn't need them. We were greeted on our arrival by the lovely reception staff, Aimon ( hope that's the correct spelling ) in particular, was a delight, and even showed us to our room. He was very helpful throughout our stay - he is a great asset and credit to you, Jaal Riad, don't let him go 😊 We were upgraded to a pool view room on arrival, it was clean and comfortable, and the housekeepers were in attendance every day. The food in the main restaurant was of local origin and plentiful - we had some fantastic pastries 🤭 The lunchtime snacks available at the poolside bar were a hit with us - try their Chicken Schwarma wrap, you won't be disappointed 😋 As part of our stay, we were able to eat at the on-site Italian restaurant - The Cat - the food, service, and ambience here was fantastic. Drinks were flowing from early until late and completelyacceptabletaste wise, but as with most all-inclusive places we have stayed at, if you want specific brands, you have to pay! The prices were very reasonable, though. We paid less than £5.00 for a double Malibu and Pineapple, and a doubleTanqueray & Tonic was about the same, we didn't make a habit of getting the "named" drinks but we did indulge on occasion 😀 The bar manager was a lovely chap and he did his own measures when pouring the drinks 🍸 we often had to tell him to give us a "smaller measure"... third world problems right there 😀 The pool was adequate and cleaned nightly, but this brings me to my only gripe - the sunbed situation needs attention. There aren't enough beds to accommodate everyone getting one - we witnessed a full-on row one morning between two ladies, one of whom had put towels on four beds and then went out for the morning!! There appeared to be animation and a pool team in attendance. Maybe they should be encouraged to remove "long stay towels" after a period of an hour or so? One shouldn't have to get up at 5.30 to ensure a spot in the sun! We didn't venture out of the resort other than to visit the local shopping mall, but we weren't ever intending to do much apart from rest, we both work hard and went to relax in the sun - which we did in abundance. Overall, we had a lovely time in this hotel, and we have both said that we would return to it at some point in the future.

i use TA myself alot to decide on hotels etc, so only right i leave an honest review, I will start with the positives:- 1) The staff in general are a credit to the hotel and most are courteous and multi lingual (which is always embarrassing for me being a lazy single language Englishman) and happy to help in any way. 2) Rooms are kept well and cleaned daily with fresh towels 3) Food is acceptable, its all inclusive so unless fresh cooking station its likely to be tepid. (there were some complaints from guests but come on its all inclusive) 4) breakfast choice is ample, would of liked apple as a choice rather than just orange, but thats being picky 5) Location is good for a 10 minute transfer from the airport and 10 mins to Medina and the Budda Bar and Lepoard restaurant both well worth a visit. 6) the weather was hot sunny and dry :-) Ok now for the downsides :- 1) There are not enough sun beds for the amount of guests, so people think acceptable to get up at 6am put towels on their beds and go back to bed then to breakfast and finally to their beds at 10am! (spoke to a couple who had no beds for 4 days) Not sure how the hotel can eliminate this? 2) The a la carte we were entitled to one visit to each for a 4 night stay, we only managed to get into the Italian and that was a 9pm at a special request to the chef this btw was as soon as we arrived night one, we booked before even going to our room! annoying as we went there 8.40pm and only two other couples, didn't get to the Moroccan as "no space" in the 4 nights we were there. 3) The hotel is right under the flight path, so unless you are a comatose sleeper they start at 5.50am first wave and every 5-10 mins until 7.30 ish then go over during the whole day whilst at the pool 4) Its not a 5 star and nearer to a UK 3 star, theres a lot of work needed, the pool area is kept clean but the walking area has cracked flagstones and holes etc, the rooms have a lot of wear and my small window was actually screwed closed because there was no handle to close it. 5) There is one bar open during the day, same for evenings, so queues for drinks were sometimes ten deep, the lager was ok the wine was ok, but the spirits were weak and the cocktails really not worth sampling at all, as all tasted just like water. So the big question is would i recommend to F&F, if you are going for a few nights and you planned to go out and explore visit the Medina etc then yes and keep expectations low then go B&B but all inclusive is not worth it IMO

The hotel itself is ideally located, very clean and visually beautiful. A couple of points you need to be aware of prior to booking; 1) There are not enough sun-beds to cover the residents if fully booked and people place towels on them from 5am. So expect to get up early if you want one. The hotels do not police the policy of not reserving sun-beds. 2) The food edible, but limited in variety and mostly Moroccan. For a 5star hotel this is disappointing. 3) Drinks are non-branded as you bc would expect from an all inclusive, but the premium options are very expensive to bc say the least. 4) Your on the airport fly path, so be prepared for noise. 5) Staff - generally good customer service, but The ones managing the main bar are unhelpful unless you are paying for drinks. 6) Late checkout - They didn’t honour our late checkout, as previously requested. And once you have checked out, they remove your band and you have to pay for drinks. If you have a long wait for the transfer, this is very mean. This is the only hotels this has happened to us in Marrakech. I would forgive more if the hotel wasn’t classified as a 5 star, but didn’t live up to expectations. So, I will summarise, the hotel is good but not excellent. Could have been much better 7)

Although the hotel itself was lovely, rooms spacious & clean, they were a bit tired. Restaurants understaffed, no attention to detail, food tepid & ran out quickly, not replenished. Staff that were on duty oblivious to guests. Ala carte Restaurants always full apparently, although 1 night only 3 tables in the Italian. No space by the pool, guests reserving sunbeds from 6am, card deposit for pool towel card £34. Drinks watered down. Complaints left, right & centre from guests. Overall very disappointed & would not recommend.

First time in Morocco, hotel is literally 15 minutes from airport and slightly under the flight path so be aware that there are sometimes planes flying overhead which can get noisy but this isn't an issue and you shouldn't be put off by it. The hotel is large but feels perfectly sized, its immaculate through out and highly maintained. I will simply start by saying its liking walking in to a museum dedicated to the architecture and history of Morocco, its stunning. Every where you look you take pics and every bar and reception area is beautiful and a nice place to be. Food was authentic and beautiful but be warned.... The food is very limited and mainly the same, if you want any type of English food then forget it. We enjoyed everything, it was hand cooked, freshly prepared and all tasted brilliantly but they did run out quite quick. People complained the food wasn't labelled which is true but there was three chefs there at all times walking around asking how we were. Location is good, short walk like 5 minutes to main shops and Carfeur shopping, taxi to main inner town is 15 minutes max. I would defiantly recommend this if you want an adult only couples stay, its beautiful and your made to feel special.

On arrival everything looked good, stunning reception (although check in took a long time). Tui expressed no taxes, but then had to pay a city tax on arrival, equal to £40 for our stay week long stay. Room on first impression looked fine, but after looking around again in the morning, lots of things were not 5*. Balcony was very small, only just fit two people. Bathroom finished to a poor standard, cracks in both the toilet and bidet, balcony door did not lock. No coffee or tea at all during the whole stay, if your lucky this may have been replenished. Could not take tea/coffee from restaurant back to room. Food - luke warm at best, very limited choices, once something had run out it was not replaced, so if you did not get the special nights meal, then it was tough, you just had what was left over. Snack bar - is not all inclusive, you have to pay for a beef burger and other items on the menu. ? Tui do all inclusive, but Jet 2 do all inclusive plus, therefore a different colour wristband with different menu options for food and drinks ?.. Drinks - very very poor. we made a complaint online to Tui, (as no rep comes to this hotel), but was just fobbed off with Ai generated responses. Vodka was so bad, that when we asked for just neat, they panicked. we can only say it tasted nothing like Vodka. Sunbeds - were a joke, we had to become those people who set an alarm to get a sunbed. When others came down they were given mats to lie on the floor, totally unacceptable for a so called 5 star hotel. Staff - They were very unhelpful, looked miserable all the time. If your French or Moroccan then things were very different. Also our transfer back to airport never turned up, so had to get a taxi for return flight home. Overall we would not recommend this hotel, it was not in the city was outside, does not have 5 bars, all activities they offer you had to pay for along most other things, everything had a price. Definitely not a 5 star resort its a 3 at best. There are lots of other lovely hotels in Marrakesh, go to one of them.

The hotel is clean and well kept. 99.9% of the staff and helpful and friendly. Food is nice but would be better if kept warm, this did improve slightly during my stay. Coffee machines at breakfast are hit and miss if working. My tip would be to take tea / coffee with you for your rooms. Yes you do have to get up early to get a sunbed round the pool, I don’t know how they can stop this. It’s the same in many places I’ve stayed. There is a deposit required for pool towels which is easily returned at the end of your stay. There can be queues at the bars, pool and evening. This (I think) is because they are making cocktails rather than using pre-mixed.

Stayed at end of August with my wife and daughter, I can see a few bad reviews from last week when we were there but disagree with these! The good points are:- Hotel is generally very clean and well maintained, some work going on in courtyard at present but doesn’t affect the holiday. Rooms are well sized and pleasant, a/c worked well and it was 36c for most of the time there, and bed was very comfortable! Only downside was that patio area is small on upper floors. Swimming pool is lovely, we went for breakfast at 09.00 every morning and always managed to get 3 beds under shade right by the pool, no problem! Yes, if you come down later than 10ish then the chances are the beds you’ll get will be on the peripheries, but generally there were enough beds to go around. Yes, some inconsiderate people put they’re towels out first thing and then don’t come back for hours, but if someone is looking I always tell them if no one has been there for 3+ hours! Snack bar by pool was nice with reasonable food. Vast majority of the staff were helpful and very pleasant, shout out to gentleman on main reception and the bar staff. Only people who I found who could do with some customer training were the two girls on the pancake/waffle stand tbh! Gym was surprisingly good, unfortunately I couldn’t use it as I’d had recent surgery No children!! Not so good points - Not disastrous but food was only average, there is an Indian station there, but had a strange selection. The buffet could do with some more variety, I love tagines, but apart from these the meat options were a bit limited. If you’re British and you want an English breakfast, you will be disappointed! Limited seating outside the bar area, especially in the evenings and they fill up very quickly after dinner. Zumba/aqua aerobics a bit noisy when they run these, if you want to avoid stick to the end of the pool by the restaurant as it’s further away from the speaker! Overall I think the hotel was very good value for money, friendly staff (in my opinion), close to airport for quick transfers, and close enough to the souks with a short taxi ride. Would definitely return!

One to avoid! Poor customer service. On arrival at this so called “5-star” hotel you are made to wear a fluorescent wrist band and then a separate “deposit by card is required” in order to get a pool towel. Unfortunately, there are limited sun-beds around the pool; towels on all of them with maybe only 50% being occupied (despite signage stating they cannot be reserved ?) That said, no one enforces the hotel policies. The same goes for ball games in the pool … seemingly encouraged by the hotel staff. Then there are the two cheesy music sessions playing simultaneously outdoors, all day long. Exhausting! It hardly conjures up the image of a peaceful Riad as described in the marketing literature, more like a “Club 18 - 30s” in Benidorm! I know I’m sounding negative but I’m struggling to find the positives. To give balance, the rooms are reasonable and the food so far has been OK.

I stayed at Jaal Riad in Marrakesh with my adult daughter for 5 days in early August, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning – full of authentic Moroccan charm, with high ceilings, beautiful art, and the constant sound of birdsong throughout. Little sparrows are everywhere (especially at breakfast!) which adds to the charm, though a word of advice: don’t leave your food unattended or they’ll happily help themselves. The food was outstanding. The buffet is served three times a day, and every service was exceptional – adventurous Moroccan dishes alongside simpler options, all prepared to perfection. The fish-themed buffet was a highlight, and breakfast was a joy with freshly cooked omelets and piping hot Moroccan pancakes made to order. The pool bar food was fine, but it couldn’t compare to the quality of the main buffets. Drinks (cocktails, wine, beer, spirits) are all included, and the evening bar was simply beautiful. The pool is huge – essential when the temperature reached 42°C most days! Air conditioning in the rooms worked brilliantly, so escaping the heat was never a problem. Previous reviews about sunbed availability are misleading – we never had an issue finding a spot. The loungers are wooden with thick, high-quality mattresses, and there are also cabanas and sofas available. Best of all, there were no “towel wars” – no need to rush out early. The adult-only atmosphere meant everything felt calm, civilised, and wonderfully relaxing. The staff truly make this place special. Every single member of the team was warm, friendly, and couldn’t do enough to help. Their genuine hospitality elevated the whole experience. This hotel offers exceptional value for a high-end, all-inclusive experience. For anyone looking for a quiet, luxurious break with incredible food, excellent service, and a serene atmosphere – this is paradise. I cannot wait to return.

We stayed a week in July which was an unseasonable 46c lol so spent a decent amount of time in the hotel itself. The food isn't as varied as I've seen in other All Inclusives but I'm happy with that as there's less waste: it was always tasty, varied and we never had any issues. The room was really nice - the AC isn't that strong but it kept the room at an agreeable temperature. The only two things I'd suggest should be looked at are sunbed umbrellas - nowhere near enough and a lot of them are huge and fixed so you have to move during the day as the sun moves. And evening meal time isn't great - the restaurant doesn't open until 7.30pm and, as there's a bit of an older clientele here, a topic of much discussion was that 6pm or 6.30pm would be a better time - I've never stayed anywhere that opens that late for dinner.

What a lovely hotel to spend our weeks holiday at. We knew straight away when the minibus dropped us off that we were in for a treat. The outside of the hotel was clean, tidy, secure and very pretty. Moroccan style architecture and a pretty fountain full of rose petals. The inside did not disappoint and the warm welcome from reception was good. We were shown to our garden room promptly and could get settled to begin our holiday. If I have one slight criticism, we were not offered anything to drink after a long day's travelling and no information was given about the surrounding area. We were booked on a bed and breakfast deal so the only option we had really was to pay for the Asian buffet at the hotel. It was just about to finish so the food was tasty but cold and had been sat a while. The buffet was quite expensive and the price did not match what we got. Saying this however, the week just got better and better and can not fault the hotel or any of the staff. The room itself was decorated nicely, was cool in such hot weather due to the air conditioning, it had plenty storage and an amazing rain shower. Bed was very comfortable and we had a little courtyard area. Rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels, robes, slippers and two bottles of water were waiting on us when we got back. The hotel itself was very pleasant especially the pool area. No trouble getting a sunbed and parasol as long as I put towels and books down before breakfast. Like a previous review, we did notice that some people reserved sunbeds with towels but failed to show up till late afternoon. Thought this a bit cheeky- we only put towels down if we planned to spend the whole day there. Entertainment was enough and you can take or leave it. Water aerobics etc in the pool and a singer etc at night in the bar area. Used the spa for a Hammam ceremony. It was amazing, we had the mandarin one and the hair mask was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable area. Robes could of been a bit bigger. The day we were due to go home, we were allowed to keep our room till about 12.30 which was great. We ate in the poolside restaurant ready for the journey home and got free desserts which were amazing. Again whilst waiting in reception for our transfer, I thought maybe the offer of a drink would have been a nice touch as we had a while to wait and it was very hot. Overall, I would recommend Jaal Riad Resort, we had an amazing time and would love to revisit.

We've just returned from our honeymoon in Marrakech and we can't praise the Jaal Riad Resort enough! We stayed for 8 nights and the staff were very friendly and helpful, we loved chatting to them and they were so kind and knowledgeable. Aiman and Khalid were especially lovely, they helped us a lot and made us feel so welcome and looked after! Our room was clean and more spacious than we thought it might be, and the air conditioning was amazing which was a big relief during the summer heat. The food was good, and the bar staff were generous and warm (they don't measure shots so the drinks were great, and Salim was very fun!). The pool is huge with plenty of space for everyone, and we always managed to find a couple of loungers free. I've seen a couple of reviews about the volume of the music being too loud but I never noticed this being a problem. There were plenty of activities on offer, and the resort can book trips/excursions for you that make the whole process effortless for good value. Special mention for one of the ladies who worked the main restaurant's desk, I'm so sorry that I didn't catch her name but she was teaching me some words in Darija, such as to say "Behir" if someone asks how you are! When we planned to go to the city's Medina we asked for some sightseeing tips or recommendations, and Aiman sat with us and a map and gave us a clear route to plan our sightseeing efficiently, which was fantastic! We noticed in Marrakech that the locals speak French far more widely than English and it could be quite challenging communicating with the locals, but the Jaal Riad staff speak English very well and it was always nice to come back from a day out and be confident that the staff knew what we meant! We felt genuine, warm bonds with the staff members who are so professional, and care deeply about their guests as individual people - not just tourists on a conveyor belt. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone planning to visit Marrakech, it is the perfect place to relax whether it's a day at the pool, at the on-site spa, or after a day out in the Medina, Ourika Valley or Agafay Desert! We miss the resort already, thank you all for everything!

Just returned from this hotel yesterday, very disappointed, rude & ignorant staff, all inclusive plus is a rip off, We had all inclusive plus and couldn't even see what we paid extra for, We arrived at 10AM to be told our room wasn't ready until 2PM but on our own investigation we found the room was ready well before! It's that silly that the food from the pool bar has a supplementary charge, something as simple as a burger costs £8! (wasn't even that nice). Many other guests ordering McDonalds or Burger King. Speaking to other guests who also agreed the food was very poor at this hotel. Some drinks have supplement charges (even though we were 'plus'). Exchanging money to Moroccan on a stupid rate that is way lower than the actual exchange rate, a charge of £40 to change your money back to GBP after an argument to even get them to change it back. The food is poor with hardly any choice, Spa prices are laughable and very expensive, No drinks available from breakfast till 11am. I go to many all inclusive hotels never had all inclusive as poor as this hotel. All inclusive should be 'everything is included in the price of your holiday' - This hotel is far from an all inclusive resort. You couldn't pay us to return to this hell hole of a hotel, we were so relieved to checkout and go back home.

I have just returned from my first solo adults only holiday to this beautiful hotel. When I initially booked this holiday, I read the reviews which were all glowing. Then not long after booking the reviews seemed to go downhill. So when I set off for my trip I was a bit nervous about what I had booked up. Well, let me tell you, I need not have worried!! From the moment I stepped foot into the beautiful hotel reception area whilst receiving a very warm welcome by Khalid and his fellow worker, I felt completely at ease. We were given a refreshing drink of mint tea whilst we went through the formalities. There is also tourist tax to pay at check in. I was shown to my room by a lovely porter. My room was a ground floor garden room. The design and architect of these rooms are gorgeous. The rooms are kept very clean everyday and towels replaced. There is also bottled water left in the room everyday. The beds are very comfy. I ventured out to the pool area and managed to get a sunbed, no problems. In fact the only time I think was difficult to get a sunbed was over the weekend, but other than that, you could pretty much always get a sunbed. Yes, some beds had been reserved, but this was not an issue and never at early doors. Towels are provided but you need to pay a small deposit for your towel card which is refunded at the end of your holiday. This is obtained from reception. The pool area is lovely and the pool itself is huge and very refreshing. My only gripe of the whole holiday was the music played around the pool. First thing in the morning there is such a chilled and relaxing atmosphere, with soft music playing quietly in the back ground but once aquarobics starts, the volume gets ramped up then they seemed to forget to turn it down!! This hotel wants to provide a relaxing atmosphere, so I think the loud music spoils the ambience. I put my headphones in to listen to my music but it sounded like a bad mix tape from the pool music and mine!! It didn't drown out the pool music. There is a pool bar which opens at 11am which was never an issue. I never experienced big queues as mentioned in previous negative reviews. The longest I had to wait was maybe 5 mins? The food in the hotel is lovely. Not a huge choice but something for everyone. The deserts taste as good as they look! You can also eat at the pool bar. I didnt eat there so I can't comment on the food, but from what I saw it was burgers, chips and pizza. The hotel is in a great location for the centre of Marrakesh and the airport. All the staff are very friendly and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. I loved my 5 nights and 6 days here and was very sad to be leaving. Being alone I felt very safe and non deterred about being there as a solo holidaymaker. I'm already looking to see when I can return here. Do not hesitate to book, just do it , you won't be disappointed.

Spent a week with my adult daughter and the hotel was a joy. Spotlessly clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Fantastic, clean hotel. Daily repairs carried out quietly and efficiently. Lovely large pool to cool down in. No issues with sunbeds, we always managed to get one. Room was great. Shower products available for use. Restaurant - morning breakfast, plenty of choice. Lunch can either be in the Restaurant or at the pool bar (the latter is better but slower service), evenings - different themes each night, excellent standard. Huge compliments to the Chef Youssef who was always available to interpret the French signs and explain the dishes. He is very passionate about his job and a humble human. Asmara was wonderful and Moncieff (not sure if spelt correctly) was fantastic. We had our A La Carte in The Terraz Moroccan Restaurant and the food was delicious. Not one bad meal was had during our 2 weeks here. Entertainment every evening. Bar staff are excellent. Highly recommend whether it's a short get away or a longer trip.

A few minutes drive from the airport we received a warm welcome from the staff especially Raina who has a great sense of humor and instantly helps you settle into the chilled environment. Also Khalid was very professional and efficient. Our room was ground floor with a with pool view with private outdoor seating area with steps down the the pool offering us the ultimate convenience. At the pool the staff are in the background but are ready to assist with any request or queries and they are very polite with great personalities when you engage with them. A special mention to Ibrahim The pool has the best people with great conversations to be had. This occupies the time normally filled by activity teams at other resorts. Food was healthy and fresh for non fussy eaters. A top resort to relax and chill 5***** 3 nights

I had read some of the reviews before visiting this hotel and, if I’m honest, I was a little nervous about staying because of some of the negative reviews. But, WOW, our experience was only a positive one from start to finish. We actually now feel sad to read that some people had such negative things to say, which is exactly why I feel compelled to share our views. Our flight landed in the morning so we arrived at the hotel before the official check-in time, but this wasn’t a problem at all. We were warmly welcomed with Moroccan tea in the beautiful hotel lobby and given a tour of the hotel by a friendly member of staff and porter. We were also told that we could use the pool and enjoy lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. The staff here made us feel so special and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. As an English family of four with two teenage sons none of us ever felt that we were treated differently from other guests. Staff showed nothing but respect and kindness to us and all guests! The pool was great. It was clean, well-maintained….. and we ALWAYS managed to find sunbeds. There was even aqua gym some days which was fun to take part in. We felt that the food was also superb. There was a great selection and lots of different stations. The staff always checked if we were happy with everything. A particular highlight for me were the Moroccan crepes! They were delicious and made by lovely, kind lady! Youssef the chef was so wonderful and smiley! He loved explaining what he had made for us that evening. Ooh and the curries were delicious. You can also get food from the pool bar between 2:30pm to 4:30pm serving freshly made burgers, chips, etc but the main restaurant is open from 12:30pm, so you will never be stuck for options. We especially appreciated the extra free treats in the afternoons….. pastries and drinks delivered by the pool! A lovely touch. Entertainment was varied and enjoyable, from live music and karaoke in the evenings to aqua aerobics during the day. The rooms were gorgeous! Beautifully presented, clean with fresh towels everyday. The grounds were immaculate, with staff constantly tending to the gardens and tiling. I think that the real highlight of our stay were the incredible staff….. ALL OF THEM! Special mentions have to go to Salim and his team at the evening bar who were brilliant, welcoming and personable. Roberto and Fallu at the pool bar were always so friendly, chatty and kind to our sons. Oussama at breakfast (and all the breakfast staff), Aya, Kaoutar and all the restaurant staff were so lovely. Also, a big thank you to the kind man on the gate who helped us with our taxis! Honesty, every single staff member went out of their way to make our stay perfect. This was our first time in Morocco and it couldn’t have been more special. We are so glad that we picked this beautiful hotel and got to meet its wonderful team. A huge thank you to everyone! We hope to return one day!

I have never been taken care of like this! Amazing stuff that will go beyond for u to feel welcomed and relaxed. Very proactive, will answer all your questions and give the best tips in case you cane without the plan! Been staying here for 3 weeks and still enjoying it fully. Even the resort is just little outside Marrakech rush, it takes 5min drive to the center. The food is amazing and diverse and it changes every day. You want to try a little bit of everything, but it is simply not possible. During day you can relax at the swimming pool with cocktails made by fun bartenders and if u are too lazy to attend buffet, u can eat lunch right next to the pool. In evenings for the past 3 weeks I have been hypnotized by woman singer with very wide repertoire for music lovers of all genres. Have a cocktail and either have fun with friends or just enjoy music. If you don’t know what to drink, Salim and Nordin at the evening bar will make a perfect drink according your wishes, mood or the moon faze. They just know how to hit the spot! ;)

I knew we were going to have the best holiday ever from the second we stepped foot in the resort. And I can confidently say that the negative reviews on here are utter nonsense. Even hearing some complaints during our stay, some people genuinely seem determined to go round looking for faults! And the reviews that say that the French guests are treated better than the English??? Read this review from an Irish / English family that have just stayed here and you can decide for yourself: Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and big smiles , even had our luggage brought straight to our room by a very friendly gentleman House keeping was amazing, staff were in the rooms everyday without fail and were so polite, the cleanliness of the resort was truly a 10/10! By the second day all the staff I had spoken to had remembered my name, I had so many special little chats with all the staff- they even had things down to the detail when I would mention my itinerary for they day, they would later ask how it went. Little things like that made me feel so valued and that level of kindness made my heart warm. (Honourable mentions to Hamza, Rania and Moncef ) Now to the buffet, since the first night I got there I met Aya, she was so lovely, she was such a ray of sunshine and brighten up my mealtimes there! Other honourable mentions to Marouan, Salah, Christ and Oussama truly stood out with their friendliness. The Chefs were hands on and professional, and always attentive, constantly checking and topping up the food! They were also full of smiles and very welcoming. Monsif, the buffet manager was a true gentleman, he clearly experienced and great at what he does! This isn’t a surprise what I’m about to say as everyone says it, but the bar staff are phenomenal! Nordim and Salim are the best! True gentleman and run the place perfectly. Salim has an amazing heart, he treats everyone equally but at the same time makes you feel so special!!! And you can tell that his character isn’t a show or is just his job, it’s who he really is! Running an all inclusive resort isn’t easy, but the staff make it look like a breeze. I am so impressed. I loved my holiday, but this resort MADE my holiday, it made my experience in Marrakech unforgettable! The second my plane landed back in Gatwick I was already on love holidays look for another holiday back! The staff deserve a raise !!!!! I miss them all so much ❤️❤️❤️

This is the first time writing a review, but we had such a fantastic time that I felt I had to share it. We arrived on the 20th and were supposed to leave on the 29th- but we ended up extending our stay because we were enjoying ourselves that much. From start to finish, the holiday was just wonderful. I was honestly shocked to read some of the negative reviews . Our experience as a family was completely different. We were treated with kindness, just like every other guest - regardless of Nationality. From the moment we arrived, Khalid and the concierge gave us such a warm welcome. Every member of staff that we met was friendly, helpful and genuinely seemed to care. The hotel has a real wow factor and is just so beautiful! While it did not meet the 5* standard, it honestly did not matter. Our room was spacious, had a balcony and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was FANTASTIC! Yes, maybe a little repetitive at times, but there were always new dishes to try, more than enough variety and plentiful. A heartfelt thank you to the staff who made our stay so special: All of the restaurant staff, especially the youngsters (Aya) The lovely chefs who stood behind the stations cooking and topping up. Moncif, who checked in regularly to make sure all was going well. Rania was always so friendly and kind. Nordine and Salim at the bar were fantastic - but a special mention goes to Salim. He made us feel so welcome from the beginning, and it’s clear that his kindness isn’t just part of his job - it’s who he is. He made a real difference to our stay. But the lovely thing is that he treats everyone the same. This was a memorable holiday for all the right reasons. We would absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, be returning to this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone. Again, thank you all and see you soon.

I brought together 60 people for a birthday party in Marrakech . The hotel manager went beyond in trying to assist to make sure that everything went smoothly. The rooms are great, the pool and gym are fantastic. Of course there are a few minor things that could be better and I know the manager is trying hard to achieve. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel. Their price point, location, facilities, and helpfulness of staff is terrific.

Where do i begin? On arrival We were kept waiting for 2 1/2 hours before being shown to our room and although the room was lovely- The safe wasn't working and we had a fridge that was broken and clearly not working!!! Our view was supposed to be a lovely garden view But it was a great big noisy tanker next to an area of all the Hotel's broken furniture!!! Food looked good But was the same every single day except with a different garnish!!! Fish was great in the beginning until after the 5th day as We cut into it- it was raw in the middle, so onto the Breakfast... Coffee machine worked at least three times out of the 12 days We were there and the Cheese omelette was good until that was raw in the middle too... If you didn't get into the Restaurant by the time it opened then you had it because the food was not topped up or re-filled... Got to the point where We were ordering take- out food to be bought in and We were not the only ones doing it... Just so We were eating!!! This is not a 5* rating at best 2* and trust me that is being very generous!!! Hotel Jaal Riad don't bother to reply saying you will be looking into it to see how you can make it better ... You ruined our Holiday and we are not going to get that time back except only remember what a nightmare it was!!!

I'm disappointed to say that my latest stay at Jaal Riad Resort wasn't as enpjoyable as my previous two visits. The staff, as always, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. However, the behavior of some British guests was appalling. Their rudeness and lack of consideration for others unfortunately overshadowed the resort's charm. I've been coming back to this resort for years, but this time it felt like the atmosphere had changed for the worse. Hopefully, the management can find a way to address this issue and maintain the resort's wonderful atmosphere. Until then. 1209😘 Thank you.

Fine if you’re French - not for the British, despite them being the majority of customers. Beautiful hotel, clean, facilities but very poorly managed. Not inclusive! Having paid over £1000 per person we felt like economy travellers - as if we owed them a favour for the pleasure. Unless you were French. A very uncomfortable divide and priority. For sunbeds, drinks and extra charges. Staff were rude and poorly managed. Food not ready on time, not replenished in restaurant choices. Snack bar availability poor - breakfast at 7am though no outside snack bar option until 2.30pm. Drinks not available till 11am. Premium menu not accessible if you have a purple band despite paying extra. Sunbeds usually taken by 11pm the night before. Spa additional costs at an unreasonable price and not value for money and tax on arrival variable dependent on who was charging. Felt like we had our first experience of being scammed in Morocco in the hotel its self. Very disappointing. Absolutely would NOT recommend and would not return.

Terrible experience - don’t book here if you’re English. You get second class treatment with French speaking guests being treated far superior. You pay extra for everything that should be all inclusive - beef burger at snack bar for example. All day snacks there are not!! You can sit down and wait up to 2 hours in the scorching heat for a sit down meal. Some of which you pay more for. Meal in the restaurant - says you get a meal in either Italian or Moroccan restaurant per stay - 2 items are free the rest are paid for. Poor quality so don’t bother. Breakfast in morning - nothing ready. 4 days on the trot I saw the woman who should have been making waffles just eating behind the counter. Waffles were cold and pre made then just warmed. Birds in restaurant just eating the bread etc. main choices run out and aren’t replenished. As for the facilities - pool outside is good size. You have to pay £30 for 20 mins to use the indoor pool. Don’t go to the spa or Hammam - rip off and they don’t even use oils etc. nothing like a traditional experience. Drinks are watered down. You have to queue - one bar in the day and service is slow. Overall a terrible hotel with rude staff if you’re English! Avoid and go somewhere else!

Review - JAAL RIAD MARRAKESH Arrived early approx 10am. Room not allocated until 2pm but we were able to eat lunch and familiarise ourselves with the facilities whilst waiting. Lunch and dinner consisted of a large variety of meat, fish, vegetable and salad dishes, soups and a variety of great tasting cakes. All meals are self service to include getting your own hot drinks. Tables are already set with cups, plates, glasses which denied me that ‘ looked after’ service which I like on holiday. Popular dishes ran out quickly and did not appear to be replenished. We had a friendly but overzealous porter who had difficulty accessing our rooms as we had 4 and not everyone had finished eating lunch to enable him access. He was not pleased and further disgruntled when there was no currency to reward him. We tracked him down later and provided the much appreciated tip. The hotel rooms are spacious and well appointed the toilet and washing facilities are separate. I do not like hand washing facilities to be separate from toilet rooms, it’s just my hygiene hate. The shower provided piping hot running water with good pressure. The hotel is ‘Adult only’ which made a much welcomed change for us as it created a calm, quiet atmosphere. It wasn’t as friendly as most places I’ve stayed with neither staff nor guests greeting each other. Entertainment was infrequent but good. A beautiful spa with treatments, an indoor pool, gym all available if you want to do that bit more than just sun bathe. Obtaining a Sun-bed is always an issue and no exception at this hotel. The universal problem is people reserving but not using. Lunch is available at 2 locations with a La carte twice a week which we didn’t use as the restaurant and snack bar was good enough. Great service at the snack bar where you could also get hot drinks. Roberto, Kadija, Falu and the rest of the crew worked hard to take orders and serve within a timely manner. Best chips ever. The issues I had were with the restaurant food as it was never hot. The delicious dishes were barely warm. Even boiled eggs served for breakfast were cold. I suggested a couple of microwaves strategically placed in the food area for those who required hot food! I hope they listen. Liquid chilli sauce would also support those like me who like a kick to their meals, I did take my own. There were a few minor hygiene issues: Observed staff setting the table with a folk that had dropped on the floor Did not refill our hand soap dispenser after requesting twice. Had to use shower dispenser to wash out hands. Birds have access to the inside food area with little attempt to eliminate them. I did end up with Morocco belly possibly due to consuming unfamiliar spices but it highlighted the hotel use of the cheapest, thinnest, smallest of toilet rolls so if you can, take your own. I recommend this hotel for its calm environment, Moroccan style and good location. Be assertive with the yellow taxis, they will wrangle an astronomical mark up if you don’t research the cost. The same journey varied from 30 to 100 dinars, Similar attitude when shopping in the markets. Once I’m aware someone is trying it! I walk away regardless to how much they drop down. There are bargains to be had. I purchased a nice belt for 90 without any exploitative bartering on either side which someone else was selling for 400. Happy holidays.

A stunning looking hotel. Buffet food was very good (not amazing). There was plenty of variety to choose from and the restaurant and food stations were very clean and well managed (although when something ran out it sometimes took a while to replenish. Definitely needs more sun beds around the pool (unless you want to get up EARLY to put your towels on a bed be prepared not to get one..... we spoke to people who got up at 4am to get one!!) The cleaning staff and chambermaids worked incredibly hard and were very pleasant and friendly. One gripe is if you are all inclusive and want to use your one free ''go" at one of the a la carte restaurants (Moroccan or Italian) they will try and tell you are are fully booked. However, we were told by our rep that they did that to give priority to those who would have to pay. We managed to get in and if you were all inclusive there was only 2 starters, a couple of mains (one of which was pizza) and a couple of deserts that were "free". The rest of the menu (steak / pasta etc) was available with a supplement. We paid for the steak which was amazing and only 60 dirram (less than a tenner) it was worth every penny! There were constant queues at the pool and lounge bars and what "premium " spirits you were entitled to on all inclusive seemed to be kept a guarded secret but if you ask for a certain brand (Smirnoff vodka or Gordans gin for instance they will give you them..... if you DON'T ask you will get the cheap local stuff The staff in the bars (with the exception of Salim in the lounge bar who was friendly, funny and accommodating) seemed more interested in squabbling between themselves than serving efficiently and quickly. We weren't sure if they were training staff as there seemed to be a lot of young staff standing round looking lost and then getting told off for it. We had a particularly nasty and potentially violent man in the hotel who was very drunk a lot of the time and did threaten a couple of other holiday makers on more than one occasion and we witnessed this ourselves and reported it, along with several others who were sick of his behaviour, to the bar and to the reception / management staff. The following day he and his girlfriend were asked to leave the hotel, so we have to commend them for that Couple of little gripes aside, it IS a beautiful place and good value for money. We would definitely return though. It just needs a few kinks ironing out.

What a setting, beautiful grounds, outstanding pool, fantastic room...then, Within 2 hours it started to fall apart, a punch up over drinks or lack of I should say, you had to queue for up to 20 minutes at the outside pool even for water or soft drinks, this also went for the evening inside bar where queues of up to 20 people were had. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, when there was something to eat, the first night there was only couscous, rice & salad, 8 empty serving pots, I asked a member of staff for more, he scurried off to get help, it took another 3-4 minutes to be replenished, this happened very regularly, loads of guests moaning, guests should not have to ask to be fed in a 4* plus hotel. The next morning I spoke to the Jet2 rep who to his credit got things moving, unfortunately it didn't last long, back to queuing for long periods & empty food pots. Sunbeds.....If you are not out claiming a sunbed by 7am forget it, beds were being claimed by midnight, approx 360 guests and only 200 sunbeds (and yes there was an altercation over a sunbed), out back of the gym/pamper block there is a lovely big grass area crying out for sun worshippers. On the Jet2 website it states the inside bar is open from 11am - 11pm but this is not so, it opens at 6.30 pm half hour AFTER the pool bar closes and the pool bar opens at 11am so after breakfast is finished no where to get a drink not even water, in other words periods of the day in an all inclusive 4* hotel you can't get even water, very hot Country you know!!!! Part of the Jet2 package is the Premium drinks passage which entitles you to have named brands (JD, Black label, Gordons etc) as well as quality cocktails, but the bar staff won't give you the menu stating the only menu is on the bar the standard one, this is not so, I even told the barman where the menu is under the counter, he eventually and reluctantly handed me the menu, there were guests that were just lied to and didn't get it. The settings are great it's the service that has let this hotel down. We witnessed staff setting out the pool bar table area with cutlery, plates, mats and glasses all very nice, the top boss made her rounds and as soon as she went the under managers gave the order to clear away the dressings...5 of us had such a laugh!!!! Going to the markets is hit and miss, please be careful, a chap got mugged only a few hundred yards from the hotel, he and his wife went home early.

The perfect place for a couple or friends vacations! This is the third time and can’t find a single thing to complain about here. Comparing to other hotel the price is a perfect deal, i work in a hotel next door with more than double the price wish doesn’t worth it to be honest. We loved the calm and now with soft entertainment it’s even better. Music is good, food is perfect and the place is just so clean that you can’t even believe it. If you are into clubbing, you can find one of the best clubs and rooftop just next door (555 and sky5). No need to talk about the staff. You will just fall in love with them as soon as you step in the reception. The bar, the restaurant, the housekeeping, the spa, the gym… we found literally everything pleasing (we are so picky). Much love to all the stuff you’re doing a really great job and a special thanks to the night bartender! He will make you smile whenever you go for a drink. See you guys next month ❤️

Me and my partner stayed here for a week in June and this is a honest review of what we experienced. When we arrived the hotel it was late at night about 11:30pm after a flight diversion due to bad weather. The hotel is stunning very clean and the staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful we were show to our room which was ground floor views looking out to the back. The room was spacious and clean we ordered room service and Salim at the bar allowed us to take drinks even tho the bar closed at 11pm we thought this was lovely after a horrendous day travelling. The next morning we was up early settling in getting our bearings like you do and here’s the break down. Pool… The pool is huge and plenty of bed space that you can save, you must pay a deposit £20 each towel which you get back when you leave. Music is played around the pool but it’s very morbid and quiet which wasn’t very good. There is a pool bar which doesn’t open until 11am you can’t even get a soft drink and you can’t take drinks out from the restaurant so keep that in mind. There is a pool restaurant but that doesn’t open till 3pm but the food there was amazing!! Fresh pizzas, chicken wraps, burgers and chips we ate here most days. We noticed that some guest were having table service when we asked they said we wasn’t allowed so we sensed some favouritism towards French guests. Also a couple we met there had their own cup they wanted to fill at the bar but this was refused and we noticed the bar staff was mocking the couple throughout the holiday. Very uncalled for. There was a copy that kept falling down it had metal attachments too it and it would swing off to the ground it potentially could be dangerous.. staff didn’t seem bothered. Hotel Food (Restaurant) The food here is very nice however choice is limited and repetitive, also most of it was not hot. Salad bar and bread rolls was nice and the deserts were amazing lots of choice. We liked that there was traditional food choices which we enjoyed. The Pool bar restaurant is the best place to eat in the day!! There are no ice creams here that we found and both other snacks you can have throughout the day. Just set times that must be eaten in the restaurant or at the pool bar, you can’t take anything around the pool only drinks that you get from the pool bar. Entertainment. This is probably the worse thing about the hotel and I’m sorry to say it. Like previously stated the music around the pool is horrendous it’s so depressing and quiet and turned off around 6pm it’s almost like it’s strict a regimented. The evening entertainment is even worse there was a singer who would sing 4 sad songs then have a break for 15-20 mins then maybe sing a couple more. And it was the same every night!! We had to go out a couple of night to a local bar/club which is 5 min walk from the hotel it was really good in there a rooftop club which was more lively and had traditional dancers and a band!! Staff.. The staff were very helpful and nice SALIM at the inside bar which opens in the evening is a credit to the hotel he couldn’t do enough for us he deserves a raise!! Some of the staff we noticed were mocking other guests if they complained or asked questions they were told they were “trouble makers” or they were “the talk of the hotel” which could made them feel uncomfortable. Hotel activities. You can have a massage there but it’s really expensive £100 for 20 minutes and you can use the spa but again 20 minutes only. We didn’t use the gym but another couple did and said it was constantly boiling in there so kinda killed it. We had cockroaches in our room and a hole in the ceiling which we reported and nothing was done about it. We kind of got the feeling that the hotel and staff are pleasant but they just want you to be quiet not really move around or have fun. Which is a Shame because the place is beautiful it’s a really stunning hotel to look at. Just too many restrictions. We did have a good time tho and we would return just not to this hotel. Also for reference there is a supermarket about 15 minute walk if you wanted to get bit for your too. Also the markets are a short drive in a taxi which the hotel will call for you. But be warned it’s super busy there but we loved it got plenty of bits to bring home and a cheap price.

Positives - very clean. Staff are friendly. Rooms are a very good size and the beds are comfy. Daily housekeeping. Restaurant serves traditional foods - great salads. The pool area is great - big pool, relaxed vibe. Decor in the hotel is traditional and impressive. Everywhere is clean and tidy. The mist that sprays you by the outdoor bar is refreshing when it hits you. It’s a great get away for relaxing. However, there are things to consider. This is an all inclusive that isn’t all inclusive - if you want to use the indoor pool or hot tub that’s extra and charged by the half hour (300mda for the pool!!), all inclusive drinks are fairly limited - Malibu, Baileys etc are not included. They have themed entertainment nights - I.e Aperol Spritz and DJ by the pool but it’s not included in all inclusive. 100mda for an aperol spritz. There is only one poolside bar - service is slow and queues are long and hot. There is an outside snack bar but only serves food between 2:30 and 4:30 and it’s seated - so no seat, no food! The food is nice if you can get in. No other snacks available throughout the day. If you’re all inclusive plus, don’t bother. You’re supposed to get main brand drinks but it’s an effort to get the staff to show you the menu. Again, it’s very limited. You also get a meal in the Italian or Moroccan restaurant - again, don’t bother. There’s one or two items on the menu included, the rest you pay for. The hotel could be great with some tweaks. More snack options are needed and the drinks need to be all inclusive and more readily available without the queues. It’s far from all inclusive which is disappointing. Gave it 4 stars based on rooms, outdoor pool and cleanliness.

Stayed here for a week at the end of May and honestly wouldn’t come back. We had cockroaches in our room—told the staff, but no one showed up that night. They eventually came the next day but sprayed chemicals while we were still inside, which felt really careless. Also got food poisoning from The Cat restaurant—the food in general was pretty bad throughout our stay. The hotel is beautiful, but the vibe was super dull and lifeless. Not ideal for young people or anyone looking for a fun, lively atmosphere. Pretty disappointing overall.

We’ve just returned from a week at Jaal Riad in Marrakech. As it’s one of the more premium all-inclusive options in the area, our expectations were naturally a bit higher—and overall, we had a really enjoyable stay. That said, there are a few things we wish we’d known beforehand, which might help future guests. Location The location is excellent—just 10 minutes from the airport, which made transfers quick and easy. However, the proximity also means regular planes flying overhead throughout the day. It didn’t bother us personally, but it’s worth noting. The hotel is also around 10 minutes by taxi to the Medina. Taxis are conveniently located across the road from the hotel gates, and staff are happy to call them over for you. Sunbeds & Pool Area Our biggest issue was the lack of available sunbeds. On our first morning, we found all beds had already been reserved by the time we finished breakfast at 9am. Despite not usually being the type to ‘reserve’ beds, we quickly realised it was necessary if we wanted to get one. Even at 6–7am, options were limited, especially if you wanted shade or a nearby table. Some guests told us they were reserving beds late at night or in the early hours of the morning. To the hotel’s credit, pool staff were helpful to new arrivals, sometimes offering cushions to sit on the ground if space allowed. Ultimately, the issue seems more about supply vs. demand rather than poor management, but it’s definitely something to be aware of. Food & Drink We enjoyed the buffet restaurant—plenty of variety, even for a fussy eater like me. While sometimes lacking in potato options, it was a great chance to try Moroccan dishes. The service was excellent too: attentive, quick to clear plates, and generous with drink refills. There’s also a snack bar by the pool, available from 14:30 to 16:00. The food here was great, with both all-inclusive and paid options. However, service could be slow, and the short window meant it was often hard to get a table. If you missed the main buffet lunch and didn’t plan ahead, this could be frustrating. Things did seem to improve as the week went on, or perhaps we just got more savvy about timing. Drinks were pretty typical for an all-inclusive, though we found the wine to be better than average. The pool bar opens at 11am, and queues would start to build around then. Similarly, in the evening, only one bar is open from 6:30pm, so lines could get long after dinner. Outdoor seating near the bar was limited, so unless you finished dinner early, finding a table could be difficult. À la Carte Restaurants The hotel also has two à la carte restaurants—Italian and Moroccan. We were aware that reservations were required, but didn’t realise how far in advance you’d need to book (2–3 days ahead). When we asked to see a menu, we were told we’d have to visit the restaurant itself, which made it hard to decide. We opted to book only the Italian, but left shortly after arriving when we learned they’d run out of pizza and most of the remaining options came at an additional cost. Other guests reported similar experiences, which was disappointing. Room & Overall Impressions Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. A lovely touch was the hotel leaving a meal in our room for us when we arrived late and missed dinner—totally unexpected and much appreciated. Final Thoughts Despite a few frustrations—particularly with sunbeds and restaurant logistics—we had a lovely week at Jaal Riad. The hotel is beautiful, service was generally great, and we left feeling relaxed. Just be aware of some of the minor challenges, and plan accordingly, and you’ll likely have a great stay too.

Disappointing Stay – A Hotel with Great Potential but Poor Execution We arrived at this hotel with high expectations, drawn in by its appealing location and promising amenities. Unfortunately, our experience was more frustrating than relaxing due to several operational shortcomings that overshadowed the positives. The bar service was one of the most disappointing aspects. Throughout our stay, the hotel frequently ran out of basic drinks like Sprite, beer, and vodka. Bars were poorly stocked and understaffed, resulting in long queues and limited options. One evening, the O2 Bar hosted a dance night but only offered Aperol Spritz at an extra cost—not included in the all-inclusive package. We ended up leaving and heading to the main bar, which itself only opened at 6 PM and served drinks mostly in plastic cups(sometimes you was lucky enough to get a glass), even though it wasn’t by the pool. This felt cheap and out of place for a hotel of this standard. Food was generally tasty, but the selection was basic and repetitive. Hot dishes, especially proteins, often ran out and weren’t or very slowly replenished, leaving us scraping the bottom of the chafing pans and eating mostly vegetables on several nights. It was clear that the kitchen struggled to keep up with demand. The facilities also left much to be desired. There were far too few sun loungers, and guests were told to wake up early to secure one by the Management Team —some even resorted to placing towels out as early as 5:30 AM, which is completely unreasonable. There was no iron or ironing board available, so we had to go to Carrefour and buy our own. The WiFi was frequently down and painfully slow when it did work. Cleanliness was another issue: while the hotel appeared clean on the surface, the details were neglected. Corners were dirty, and the shower head in our room was covered in mould and limescale, a legionella breading ground. Access to bottled water was inconsistent—sometimes available at breakfast, other times only at reception, and once the bar closed, it was impossible to get water at all. Service was inconsistent across the board. While there were plenty of staff, actual service was lacking. Standards varied wildly, and there was no consistency in how drinks were made or served. Restaurant service was hit-or-miss—you were lucky to get a drink with your meal on a couple of occasions. We asked for extra pillows (only two were provided in the room) three times before they finally arrived the next day. Cracked tiles around the pool area and long queues at the pool bar added to the frustration. That said, there were some positives worth mentioning. The hotel’s public areas are beautifully maintained, clean, and pleasantly scented. The open courtyards are tranquil and inviting, offering a peaceful atmosphere. The pool area is a highlight, featuring a large pool that gets sun all day and offers activities like aqua aerobics. The location is excellent—close to both the airport and the main city. Aviation enthusiasts might enjoy the fact that the hotel is under the flight path for takeoff, though the noise is minimal and not disruptive. The gym is well-equipped and open from 9 AM to 9 PM, and the rooms themselves are spacious with excellent air conditioning. Overall, this hotel feels like a “half all-inclusive” experience. It has the potential to be a standout destination, but poor management, inconsistent service, and basic operational issues significantly detract from what could have been a fantastic stay. Attempts to raise concerns with staff were met with shrugged shoulders and no resolution. A frustrating experience that could have been so much better

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend. The pool area was amazing, lots of sun loungers and we all enjoyed drinking cocktails in the pool reading and talking. Ideal a girls holiday. The room was larger than expected, and clean. The food was delicious, if you want chicken nuggets and chips, don’t come to the hotel, it serves Moroccan food. Breakfast was fab, had some amazing waffles. Only a short distance to the town. I will be returning, but for longer next time.

The hotel and grounds are stunning, it’s a beautiful building with some lovely touches throughout and grounds constantly being cleaned and maintained by the gardeners. The rooms were very clean and daily housekeeping replenished water and towels. The pool area is stunning with landscaped gardens and a huge and shallow pool, perfect for chilling out and cooling down. The buffet restaurant had a decent mix of cold and hot foods and plenty of local cuisine to select from. The only minor gripe is the service at the outside pool bar and inside bar at night, queues can get long which is a minor irritation but if that’s the only thing to complain about it’s no bad thing. We ate in the Moroccan restaurant on site which is a limited menu but good food and beautiful inside and great attentive service. Drinks and cocktails are all single shot for all inclusive but actually no bad thing in the heat if you’re having cocktails all day. The all inclusive wine selection is all Spanish and all very good by international all inclusive standards. I enjoyed the white, rose and red equally. Had a lovely relaxing 4 days and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return. Reading some of the reviews makes me think some people are never happy or expect WAY too much from what is a very modestly priced all inclusive holiday.

A really nice resort with a great pool and fantastic gym that my 16-Y-O loved. I went here on a package tour so got it for a good price, definitely worth the money. Not sure how much it costs to book direct though. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I was disappointed in the breakfast. There was hardly any fresh fruit at all. A lot of bread and jams, and weirdly a lot of salad, but only melon and sliced oranges. There were lots of delicious freshly squeezed juices though! The place was kept really clean, and the music they play by the pool, which would usually annoy me, wasn't too loud. The staff were super helpful and friendly and our room was cleaned really well every day. A lovely location really close to the centre, but being a bit further out you had space and although it was 45 degrees plenty of shade. TIP: People put their towels out on the sunbeds early then head back to bed so if you want to get a good spot, bear that in mind. Also, we found that getting a horse and carriage back from the centre was almost as cheap as a taxi and much more enjoyable so do consider that if that's your thing. I would definitely go back here. Thanks for a great stay. And I loved the fact there were no children! My first ever trip to a hotel without kids (I left my younger one at home) and it was bliss!

We had a wonderful stay at Jaal Riad Marrakesh and were truly impressed by so many aspects of this hotel. The architecture is stunning – the design perfectly blends traditional Moroccan charm with modern elegance, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere throughout. The entire property is kept spotless; the cleanliness is outstanding and really adds to the feeling of comfort and relaxation. Our room was beautifully maintained thanks to excellent daily housekeeping. Every day we returned to a perfectly refreshed space, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Around the pool, the sunbeds were comfortable – perfect for long, lazy days in the sun. The buffet deserves a special mention – it’s extensive with a huge variety of Moroccan dishes. I am quite a fussy eater, but I found plenty to enjoy. The desserts were particularly delicious - try to leave room to try them! The only downside we encountered was with the pool bar. While the drinks themselves were fine, the service could have been better. Staff behind the bar were often arguing with each other, and there was quite often only one person serving. This created unnecessary long queues at times, which was a little frustrating in an otherwise seamless experience. Overall though, Jaal Riad Marrakesh is a beautiful hotel with so much to offer. With a little more attention to the pool bar service, it could easily be perfect.

Beautiful hotel - the hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning, the people are lovely and the customer service is outstanding, massive shout out to the reception team and hotel manager for the very professional approach and excellent customer experience. We are here now, a group of 3 women and we are having the best time. The sun is shining, the pool is gorgeous and the sun loungers are sooo comfortable. We arrived yesterday lunch time and we went on a sunrise trip this morning and we’ve always found 3 sun loungers The yoga class was great and very professional for all levels, the gym is brilliant and everywhere is so clean and spotless We are here for 3 nights and we will definitely be back

First impressions of the hotel was the reception area. The aesthetics were stunning. We wanted a Moroccan feel and it did not fail. Pool area was large however a sunbed problem. We played golf early mornings and struggled to get a bed in the afternoon. A hotel of this size needs more beds. The pool is very large but lacks railings should you be older or unstable on your feet. These things can easily be rectified. Outside snack bar for food was unavailable for all inclusive until 15.00 which we found a tad strange however the Shawarma chicken was to die for. Alcoholic drinks I think was watered down but that didn't bother us. Buffet was very good. Great moroccan food, not a burger or fries in sight. My only criticism was when the tagines emptied they were slow in replenishing, but we could not fault the food. The bar in the evening was beautifully decorated with a great service from Salim, and his team once you interacted with them. Imported alcohol was at a premium. Our room 2211 was facing an EXTREMELY loud road. Don't be on that side. It was very spacious, however the loo holder was coming off the wall, toilet seat was loose and the lock on the patio door was broken. The bed however was so comfortable. The air-conditioning is set to 25 which is too warm. I would personally grade the hotel as a low 4 star definitely not a 5. However if they tweeked some of their problems it would higher the standard. Would we come back? 🤔. Yes we would but I would love to see these things improved.

Check in just fine and staff helpful. Room clean and tidy and fresh towels etc each day. Pool - clean and appealing. Not enough sun loungers as most gone by 7am. Spa facilities - really clean and friendly staff. Used twice and both times a great experience. But really expensive, needs to be half the price or included when paying these hotel rates. Breakfast, plenty of choice but coffee machines constantly not working. Snack bar, food fantastic and tasty…service terrible. People ordering after you and finishing their meal before yours came. Drinks ok but weak….again service slow. Evening buffet - plenty of choice if you liked fish / shellfish but otherwise not. Food lukewarm. Drinks service very slow. Food menu the same every night. Italian restaurant - really smart looking, service good and food really nice. Limited menu unless you wanted to pay more. Not 5 star and wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

Nowhere near a 5 star hotel. Staff lacked customer service or interest. Check in was an utter nightmare. After 10.30pm if you wanted a drink from the all inclusive you had to bribe with cash the staff (we did not). Buffet boring and bland tasting. The two additional restaurants you couldn’t get in as they were “fully booked” but had a maximum of 3 tables in there. Extremely poor drink list. Staff rude. I made the hotel aware it was my 40th birthday while I was there. Not even a bottle of wine in our room (from the all inclusive) I was advised to change English sterling while at the hotel. Genuinely think I was scammed. I was given nowhere what Google suggested the exchange rate was. When I questioned it the next day. They gave me a better exchange. Nobody showed us around. I only knew there was a spa when I looked on their Instagram while we were there. The times of openings for the pool bar etc(which were in the room) were completely different to what they actually were. Ultimately if you want a decent all inclusive that’s a but special with attentive staff this is not the place for you. Was ready to come home after a few days. Entertainment in the evening was a women singing the same few songs over and over again.

We found the hotel, service and food to be excellent. Comments about needing to reserve sunbeds early and additional costs for tourist tax are valid but not unexpected for a hotel like this. Also it’s true that snacks at the pool bar aren’t available till later in the afternoon, but the restaurant is open until just before then so there are plenty of opportunities to get food. We found the service to be great on the whole, the food was lovely and the drinks were brands I recognised rather than local brands which I had expected. I’m wary of animals and there were a few birds flying around the dining room which I would have preferred not to see, and we saw a single stray cat poolside on one occasion, it didn’t bother us though. When we got to the airport the aircon was non-existent, so one piece of advice would be to be prepared for that for your homeward journey.

I have just returned from this hotel feeling absolutely great about my experience there The Staff are fantastic, helpful and so friendly. I wish to give a special shout out to Aymen on Reception and the lady who welcomes people into the buffet restaurant. Her name begins with a K. She wrote her name for me but I have mislaid it. The food is nice, albeit repetitive. Also, the salt is in the pepper pot and vice versa which I found very amusing I had a room with a garden view. It was lovely and quiet. I heard no noise from the road at all. I highly recommend this hotel.

Started off ok reception lovely rooms good buffet food ok choice never changed the Italian was good on first visit but everything seems to have a sur charge £18 first visit £28 second food same and I ended up ill the Moroccan was very poor buffet food just put on a plate for you the pool is a nightmare 70 sunbeds for over 200 rooms the drinks are poor quality my wife and friends said very weak I couldn’t get a alcohol few beer to be fair a guy at reception said he would go to the supermarket and get a pack and put in the room fridge that didn’t get very cold all for£35 😂😂😂 the jet2 rep was fantastic but he was fighting a loosing battle it’s a shame because it could be made a lot better with staff training coffee machines always breaking down and long wait at the bar would be far better with table service some of the guests behaviour left a lot to be desired but there never seemed to be any senior managers about to sort things out

Okey dokey, going to start by saying this place isn't totally perfect but the service and everything else makes up for it. Possible improvements Mirror needs to be at the desk (a man must have planned these rooms - there was not a plug near to a mirror to straighten my hair) Breakfast could do with some standardisation: cups sometimes on tables, then had to get own, daily search for butter.... The hotel needs larger and better coffee machines - often had to wait for trays to be emptied. Rooms Gorgeous - very Moroccan. Tiny balcony (didn't bother us). Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Good shower. New bottled water daily. Not great coffee/tea options. Good air con. Working TV - mainly news channels and obviously non-English ones. Pool Cold (was told it was deliberate as it is a freshwater pool and needed to keep the algae down. Clean. Quite comfortable sun beds. Lots of 4 poster type beds (not my thing). Not overcrowded. We managed to get shade every day but it felt like we were lucky. Guests Mixture of French and Brits. Most lovely and friendly. Had a group of 15 at the start of our holiday - obviously not used to travelling or all inclusive, who were pratts drinking with glass bottles in the pool, being loud but luckily they went after a couple of days. Food I was worried going out there as the reviews said limited choice. I have an eating disorder and was concerned but there was loads of choice of really great food. The pastry chef deserves a knighthood - absolutely wonderful cakes. We soon realised that the people complaining about the choice should just go to Benidorm for All Day English breakfasts. The food is predominately Moroccan because... oh yes, we were in Morocco! Loads of salads (lovely), tagines and as for the bread.... gorgeous! Would like to mention Usaf (the chef) who proudly discussed his team's menu when asked and was really helpful with questions. Entertainment There was a nightly singer and we really enjoyed her nightly performances. She sang covers and had a lovely voice. It meant that our nightly drinks reflected the tempo of the holiday - relaxed and luxurious. We were all inclusive and the drinks were strong with quick and responsive service. There were some waiters topping up drinks but we tended to go to the bar. Salim was particularly friendly and attentive (and we did not tip him until the end - so genuine). Service Amazing... just amazing. Warm and responsive. We did see some rude other guests but the staff managed them well. In particular, the Customer Satisfaction team couldn't do enough for us, specifically Aimen and Rania - they knew who we were and regularly check in on us. Unbelieveable. Morocco/Marakesh Nothing prepares you for the sheer terror of their roads (and the little alley ways in town). There are mopeds, horses and carriages, donkeys, camels coming from all angles. There is a lot of deprivation and poverty, so you need to be careful (a couple got mugged from our hotel when out walking). We stuck to taxi's and organised trips. Trips Amazing horse and carriage trip culminating in a brilliant show and dinner (warning, the dancers expect tips if you get up and dance with them) Hot air ballooning - not as good as it sounded, due to changes with the aviation authority, we couldn't go high or far. Still enjoyable though. Cooking class - with Mohammed from Clock Kitchen. Brilliant! Going to the water falls - a bit disappointing and hard work. Tour around Marrakesh - we did this in 45 degree heat and died. It was good but you do walk a lot. Jet2 experience Never been with them before but definitely will again. Ayoub was the rep and could not have been more helpful, which meant that he upsold a lot more trips than we would have normally have bought. The support was a million times better than Tui who we used to go on holiday with.

My wife and myself checked in on the 11th of June and Left on the 20th of June. The reception was speedy and professional. We were asked to pay £54 tourist tax and then another £40 for towel cards. We asked if we could possibly have a pool view room and were accommodated free of charge. Room 1240,Very impressed. The room was nice and it s approx 21.30hrs so we unpacked showered and went to bed. We had chosen Jaal Riad for comfort having visited Marrakech a couple of years ago and did a few trips. Fist day by the pool was good nice people good music but we were unable to get a towel until 11.20am until a pool boy was at his station. We asked if we could get a drink anywhere and was told not until 11am at the pool bar. We queued for ages every where to get drinks. The pool bar served food but although we were all inclusive we couldn't get anything until 3pm. Food (snacks)served from 11am had to be paid for until 3pm. The dining room experience was mixed. Week one was quiet the hotel wasn't full. The food choices were poor and the quality was very poor. The food improved from the 17th when the hotel was full which improved the food choices. The seating arrangements were chaotic. It took a long time to get cutlery and napkins. The coffee machines were broken every morning leading to long queues. Day 2 started off good we kept yesterdays towels. The day went downhill quickly at about 11am. The pool boy Mohammed a fat Moroccan lad was very rude. He put rave music on very loud and my wife asked him to turn it down a bit after he had put it on and left the towel station for 90 mins. He shouted at her and said go Move. I spoke with him and he kept saying no understand. I asked him his name and reported him to reception and a guest relations lady spoke with him but he also shouted at her. It resulted with the music not playing which made all the guests very happy. We booked in the CAT restaurant,. On arrival we were seated and given a wine. We looked at the menu over 80% of the items on the menu came with an uplifted price of up to £30 each. The items included were limited availability of the three deserts included only one was available. We chose to leave and didn't eat that night because the dining room selection was very limited just some salad and bread. Our room. Room 1240 a lovely room. We never saw the maid. We arrived on the Wednesday night used the two mugs for a cup of tea on Thursday am. They didn't get cleaned until Sunday. The bin didn't get emptied until Monday. The floors were dirty we didn't have any shower gel. We reported this to housekeeping but ended up speaking with guest relations again to get this resolved. Our air con operated but no lower than 25 degrees. Whilst we were there the outside temp sometimes was 50 degrees. The bar and entertainment The bar opens at 6pm. If you fancied a drink inside through the day you were stuffed. No where to get coffee or tea other than pool bar in a paper cup. At the bar most nights we queued in lines longer than 5th but sometimes as long as 17th in the queue. We had a yellow all inclusive wrist band and some others had lilac wrist bands. We didn't know that this existed until we arrived. We were unable to get drinks like pina-coladas or a brandy to have with a cup of coffee after dinner. We could have if we had lilac wrist bands. Those people also complained because to have bottled beers they had to pay. Coffee was unavailable in the dinning room at lunch time or after dinner. Guests and their behaviour The guests mainly were nice but because of the nature of the lengths people were staying, a three or four night stay people were drunk and loud. Swearing and shouting. On the 18th of June at night some rowdy guests were throwing sunbeds into the pool at 3am. The pool was strewn with MacDonald's boxes, wrappers and cigarette ends. Sunbeds. People were putting towels on sunbeds from 6.30 am every morning. We sat on our balcony and watched it play out everyday it was like a comedy sketch. The last tree days were terrible no available sunbeds after 8am. We have travelled all over the world and stayed in all types of accommodation. This hotel is certainly not a 5 star hotel . I believe it to be more like a 2 star. It looks nice but is in need of repair throughout the whole building. The pool area entry exit to the pool is lethal, we saw several people fall ,no rails. We would not recommend this hotel to stay at. Definitely not.

8 men on a golfing trip. Staff rude and unhelpful. Food in buffet lukewarm. Lorry was pumping out the gully’s outside our room from before midnight to after 1 am. They ask for tourist tax on arrival about £30. Cocktails were weak and when asking to add more alcohol they said they couldn’t do it even though all inclusive. Wine was rubbish. Beer ok but unless you are premium you don’t get the nice stuff unless you pay for it. Shopping complex within a 15 minute walk. Restaurants- only visited the Italian and after a 40 minute wait for the starter we nearly left. It arrived and was like nothing Italian I’d ever had. The menu was in French. Only a few items on the menu were included on our inclusive without paying extra. The pizza was basically bread with cheese, no tomato base. Only thing worth eating at breakfast buffet was the omelettes which were prepared fresh. Best food was at poolside bar which was hot and cooked fresh. Bedroom - Comfy and clean. no milk or coffee supplied despite asking for milk got told no. We were on ground floor they supplied conditioner shampoo etc and hand lotions. Fridge in room but not that cold. No mini bar. No iron. No hairdryer. Big Tv which you can get Netflix on.

We booked a last minute trip to the Jaal Riad and the hotel itself is stunning! It is set in a fantastic location, only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport and about 10/15 minutes to the Medina also. Our room was ready for us on arrival (which was around lunchtime) so we were very grateful for that after a 2am start. The pool is lovely and very cold which is perfect as the temperature was nearly 40 degrees during our stay. We really enjoyed the music around the pool too and there were quite a few large parasols which are welcomed as the majority of guests were wanting shade when not in the pool! The sunbeds were all reserved by 8am, so do bear that in mind if you like to have a lie in. There were a couple of missing 5* touches that we noticed, which if the hotel implemented, would truly heighten the experience offered: 1. The bars do not open until 11am (as the hotel does not serve alcohol until them) which is absolutely fine, but there is nowhere to get a soft drink such as an iced coffee in the meantime. We enjoy sitting by the pool before breakfast with an iced coffee but were not able to do so. We also thought the alcohol had potentially been watered down as the alcoholic drinks were quite weak. Other guests we spoke to also commented the same. 2. The hotel charges a 200MD deposit for pool towels, so for a couple that is 400MD. We’ve never had to do this before at a 5* hotel and have just been able to access pool towels as we wish. The pool towels themselves are not big enough to cover the loungers so I would probably advise to bring your own if you want the lounger completely covered. 3. The aircon in our room was faulty and for the duration of our stay our room was 26 degrees. We did mention this to reception and they said someone would come and have a look at it for us but I’m not sure they did as the aircon remained faulty despite being set to 5 degrees! 4. The food in the pool bar was great and overall we did enjoy the food at the buffet too. There was a couple of times it felt a little samey but we enjoyed it non the less. The service was sometimes a little slow and we would have to flag someone down in order to ask for drinks. It felt as though the staff were possibly stretched a bit thin as they were always rushing about. The hotel has a very relaxing feel to it which was exactly what we wanted for our trip. We would definitely recommend booking one of the rooms overlooking the pool as they are lovely and quiet. A couple of guests we spoke to had rooms backing onto the road and they found them very noisy. We didn’t have any noise in our room so would definitely recommend a pool view room!

We arrived on 13 June and were warmly welcomed by the reception staff, we were swiftly shown to our room which was ready early. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be extremely friendly and kind. We ate in the Moroccan restaurant one night which was very good and our food was piping hot. We found the buffet good with plenty of choice unlike other reviews there was plenty of fruit and freshly omelettes and we had no problem with the temperature everything was piping hot. Yes the drinks are a bit limited in choice but all the main spirits are available. The pool bar was great! and the pool was lovely and big. Please don’t take much notice of negative reviews come and make your own minds up like we did, at one point I was quite concerned about my booking and thought about trying to swap hotels but I needn’t of worried and we have had a fantastic holiday!!

Just arrived here and I’m so so disappointed. We arrived after a long journey, no food or drink available upon arrival. Room wasn’t ready and the receptionist said we could be given a tour, we got walked around for a whole 30 seconds before the staff member told us we look to tired and that it’s pointless going through the tour with us now as we won’t take it in. Then went to get a cocktail to be completely and utterly dissatisfied… any cocktail you’d expect at a 5* resort e.g an espresso martini you have to pay extra for! I then ordered a gin fizz which tasted like water. I’m so gutted as was really looking forward to this. So far not good. Everyone just seems unhappy and like they don’t want to be here. So far I do not recommend.

I recently travelled to Marrakech, Morocco by myself and it certainly did not disappoint. I stayed at the Jaal Riad Resort and the hotel exceeded expectations. From the first welcome to the amazing staff on hand every day I was there, this made the experience even better. Shout out to Abdel and the bar staff for always having the beers on tap and making sure I had everything available, both during the day and in the evening. Top draw service! I will be recommending this hotel to my family and friends to visit and no doubt will travel back myself very soon!

Jaal Riad Resort is a hidden gem in Marrakech! We had an incredible stay here, and it's all thanks to the amazing staff. The riad itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a lovely private terrace. The food was delicious, and the breakfast spread was impressive. We also enjoyed the relaxing pool area and the cozy lounge. What really made our stay stand out, though, was the exceptional service. Rania and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. We highly recommend Jaal Riad Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable stay in Marrakech. Thank you, Rania, for making our stay so special! 5/5 stars

It would take me too long to write all the negatives about this so called all inclusive trip, so I'll bullet point! . Room was great! . Service...poor. Treated like second class citizens in comparison to French guests....tempted to use the 'R' word here!! . Staff, one or two pleasant but overall poor. . Food was shockingly poor, cold or luke warm with little choice. Best meal I had was at the Golden Arches in Marakech! . Drinks and bar. Little or no choice just the basics. If you wanted anything over and above beer, wine or soft drinks, then get your wallet out. Bar closed at 11, unless you paid in 'cash' (wink wink). If you know, you know! In summary, this wasn't a good experience and I'll never be going back here. The phrase all fur coat and no knickers would best describe this dump!

The resort has makings of a Four Seasons but still need to improve their level of service and consistent room cleanliness - one of our two rooms had a roach, one other room they left one glass and a kettle and nothing else! And no one answers the front desk phone! To get a porter, we had to walk all the way to the front desk to ask them .. and we found the staff on the room behind the front desk chatting with each other! The bellboy and the porter and the spa staff were excellent! The resort though was lovely with massive pool, spa and gym and a Riad courtyard.

This resort was absolutely incredible! From the check-in service to the rooms and lobby decor and comfort. The breakfast variety was terrific as well. Besides that, their artistic lounge and variety of bars/restaurants was also fantastic. Outside of the resort, there is a mall at walking distance and the medina isn't too far away either with taxis easily available too. The only thing I'd like to highlight as negative is that the outdoor pool is not heated and we went in December so it was impossible to use the facility. As for the indoor pool, it was heated but charged at £20~ which was again not ideal.

Clean Lovely property in Riad style. Rooms are cosy with large double bed and a reading nook. This reading nook was my most favourite part of the room. The hammam was very nice and services offered in spa was decent variety. The Hammam service itself was really good and relaxing. There was plenty of vegetarian options to choose from at breakfast as well as buffet dinner. Concierge was helpful finding us a great guide to tour the city. Language was a barrier for us as we don’t speak French but that didn’t deter staff to provide great service, using technology to translate each other’s words. I would love to come back to stay in this resort.

If you want a quieter place to stay, this is a great place for you. The place looks very nice. There is a pool and a gym that you can use. It is a bit far from the Medina. You need to get a taxi to get there. The problem isn’t so much as getting there but more of the swindling and price gouging that happens when you try to find your way back. Most drivers don’t know the place so I have to refer them to the mall behind it. That mall is still some walk away from the hotel entrance. The place itself is so nice aesthetically. However, I tried calling for room service four times and nobody was answering. The free breakfast was okay— could be better. In my room, they didn’t refill the soap and when I asked them to change it, they never did. There is only one elevator (it’s a three story building) and only one receptionist. Overall, perfectly adequate place if you just want a place to sleep and leave your stuff for the day.

Where to start with this property! The most beautiful resort in Marrakesh. As soon as you enter you're greeted with grandiose intricate morrocan architecture making you feel like you're in a palace. The hotel is immense, very clean & modern. There are top notch restaurants, boutique, a beautiful spa, and huge pool which makes you want to stay at the resort all day. It is 100x more beautiful in person. We stayed at many hotels during our vacation in Morocco and this was our favorite place! The staff, from the managers to the cleaning crew were the kindest people we encountered during our trip. They always went out of their way to accomodate us, give us recommendations, call taxis, make reservations, upgrade our rooms, and everything we could have asked for and more! The suite we stayed in had two of the biggest balconies I've ever seen in a hotel room, very comfortable beds, walk-in closets, fully decked bathrooms, a living room, and AC strong enough to combat the Marrakesh heat. Most importantly the rooms were crystal clean. Everyone in Marrakesh who knew we were staying at Jaal hotel told us we made the best choice! Truly we couldn't have picked a better property for our 6 days in Marrakesh, we did not want our stay to end. There are no words to describe how friendly and welcoming the staff was. They all speak multiple languages and there's always a smile on their faces. Do not look elsewhere if you're coming to Marrakesh! We will come back again and again for sure.

On arrival, my partner went to check in and was told to sit and relax as they took about 15 mins to get our keys and then another 5ish mins when we were told to wait for a porter to help with bags, when we felt we could have just went up with the porter to follow since we were tired from a long trip. Nice pool to lay during the day. Not much in terms of activities. Breakfast options are very good. Restaurants are average. Communicating in English with most of the servers and porters was a challenge at times.
